Hey everyone! I'm finally back with another chapter! For those of you who are wondering what happened to A Journey into the Past, that story has been moved to Wattpad until further notice. Anyway, onto the reviews!
purpledolpin05: (1) Oops, I guess since Dizzy is about 12, maybe almost 13 (since according to The Villain Kids' Guide for New VKs, Dizzy is 14 (Birthday: November 28) as of Descendants 3, and I estimate Descendants 3 takes place about a year after Descendants 2 (give or take a couple of months), I guess Evie would start to give Dizzy advice on boys. Or I could go back and change the lyrics later. (2) Technically Maleficent forced/pressured him into admitting it. I have no clue about the Hades thing. Since Hadie would be in Auradon and Hades had given him the ember (which would make sense as Hadie is his son), then the whole Hades-being-Mal's-father plot point seems a bit unnecessary. But don't worry, when I get to Descendants 3 with this, it will still be exciting, especially since Hadie would be getting a used to using the ember.
Mikromb 13: Eh, technically Mal would still be angry about Maleficent showing favoritism towards Molly, so Molly would have to try really hard to get on Mal's good side.
The next morning, Molly waited outside in front of the castle, carrying what little belongings she had in a plastic bag. This was it; she was going to Auradon, only to steal Fairy Godmother's wand. However, she couldn't help but think of the conversations she had with her sisters the night before…
"And so, that's it," Molly concluded. "She wants me to go to Auradon to steal some wand." She and her sisters, Freddie and Celia, were sitting in her bedroom, which was the worst room of the house. Her bed was actually a cot, and with just an old pillow and a ratty blanket, with a nearly empty shelf opposite of it. With its cinder block walls and low ceiling, it looked more like a prison cell than a bedroom. Apparently, her father really hadn't been too thrilled about a baby being left on his doorstep.
"At least you finally get to go to Auradon," Freddie said. "It's what you've always dreamed of."
"Yeah, but Celia's also dreamed of going there too," Molly protested. It was true. Late at night Molly and Celia would hang out in Celia's room, fantasizing about Auradon. "She should go instead!"
"Molly, if anyone deserves to go to Auradon, it's you," Celia said. "If you go, you'll finally be away from dad. You'll finally be able to live a normal life."
"But I don't see why I should steal the wand for a woman who abandoned me as a baby!" Molly exclaimed.
"You don't have to steal the wand, you know," Celia suggested. "Maleficent can't get you in Auradon."
"And besides, you would be away from dad too," Freddie added.
Molly sighed. They did have a point. If she did go to Auradon, where she has always dreamed of going, then she wouldn't have to worry about dad anymore. No more locked doors, no more being invisible, no more starving nights, she could finally be free. "Alright, I'll go. But as soon as I get there, I'll find a way to bring you guys over there."
Freddie just smiled. "Just get some sleep, okay? You have a big day ahead of you tomorrow. I'll sing you a song if you want."
Molly nodded as she laid down on her cot as Freddie tucked her in.
Freddie:
Wandering child of the earth
Do you know just how much you're worth?
You have walked this path since your birth
You were destined for more
There are those who'll tell you you're wrong
They will try to to silence your song
But right here is where you belong
So don't search anymore
You are the dawn of a new day that's waking
A masterpiece still in the making
The blue in an ocean of grey
You are right where you need to be
Poised to inspire and to succeed
You'll look back and you'll realize one day
In your eyes there is doubt
As you try to figure it out
But that's not what life is about
So have faith there's a way
Though the world may try to define you
It can't take the light that's inside you
So don't you dare try to hide
Let your fears fade away
You are the dawn of a new day that's waking
A masterpiece still in the making
The blue in an ocean of grey
You are right where you need to be
Poised to inspire and to succeed
You'll look back and you'll realize one day
You are the dawn of a new day that's waking
A masterpiece still in the making
The blue in an ocean of grey
You are right where you need to be
Poised to inspire and to succeed
Soon you'll finally find your own way
Molly's thoughts were still on Auradon as she fell asleep.
Molly looked around at her friends. They seemed to have the same feelings as she did: excitement, but having doubts about their mission, all except for Hudson, who was just staring determinedly at the road they were going to be traveling down. Suddenly, a limo turned the corner, driving towards them before stopping in front of them.
"Well, this is it," she said as she climbed in.
"Auradon here we come!" Dizzy said with excitement as she hopped in.
Hudson grabbed the hood ornament before jumping in. "Let's do this!"
"Bye dad!" Hadie said as he got in.
"Bring home the gold!" Captain Hook called out.
"Bring home a prince!" Lady Tremaine shouted.
Not long after the limo had already driven off, the foursome turned to the front, jaws dropping as they did so. In front of them was a bunch of colorful balls and other objects that seemed to glimmer in the sunlight. The boys lunged towards the piles, taking as many as they could and stuffing them in their mouths, while the girls just quickly picked up what they could and placed it besides them.
As Molly took a bite out of a chewy, floppy, black string-like candy, Dizzy turned towards her with a makeup brush. "You're looking a little washed out. Let me help you out."
Molly lightly elbowed Dizzy. "Diz, I'm trying to eat!"
Dizzy sighed. "Fine, be that way." She took a bite out of something that looked like a blue crystal.
Meanwhile, Hadie's eyes widened. "Oh! These! It's salty like nuts, but it's sweet like I don't know what!"
"Let me see!" Hudson said. Hadie opened his mouth, showing the partially chewed candy. Hudson smacked Hadie. "Ew!"
"Ow!"
As Molly played with some remote that was on the seat, Dizzy turned towards the window, watching with horror as they drove towards the barrier. "Look!" Everyone turned towards the window.
"It's a trap!" Molly cried out. Everyone screamed as they huddled together, except for Hadie, who was surprisingly calm. There was a bright flash of light, and when they opened their eyes, they saw that they didn't crash into the barrier, but instead were riding on a golden bridge to Auradon. "What just happened?"
Dizzy smiled. "It must be magic."
Molly inspected the remote she had been playing with earlier. "Excuse me, but did this little button just open the magic barrier?"
"No, this one did," the driver said as he held up another remote.
Hadie shrugged. "I could've told you that."
The driver just ignored Hadie. "That one opens up my garage. And this one…" As the driver clicked on the button, a tinted visor that separated the driver from the passengers rolled up.
Hudson smirked. "Nasty, I like that guy."
Once they got to Auradon Prep, the limo stopped as the band played music. Unfortunately, Hudson and Hadie were the first to tumble out, fighting over some sort of blanket, leaving Molly and Dizzy annoyed and embarrassed as they stepped out of the vehicle.
"You have everything else!" Hadie shouted. "Why do you want this thing!?"
"Because you want it!" Hudson retorted. "Besides, you're the prince of the freaking Underworld! You get things like this every fall and winter!"
"It doesn't exactly work like that!" Hadie exclaimed.
Molly decided to interfere while she still could. "Guys, guys. We have an audience." Hudson and Hadie stopped almost immediately.
"Just cleaning up," Hudson said with a smile as he and Hadie got up.
"Leave it like you found it," a woman with brown hair and a blue dress sing songed. "And by that I mean leave it."
Hudson dumped his loot, which included a variety of candy, back into the limo. As Molly turned back towards the crowd, she noticed four prominent people standing in front of them. The woman who had told Hudson to "leave it as he found it" had a blue dress with a big, magenta bow on it, and her brown hair was neatly pulled back into a bun. To her left was a boy who appeared to be sixteen. He had honey brown hair and was wearing a navy blue tuxedo with a crest on it, as well as yellow pants. The girl on the woman's right had brown hair that was parted on the left side of her head. She wore a pink dress with a blue cardigan over it. Next to the girl was a smaller girl who looked about Molly's age. She had sandy blonde hair that was tied up into pigtails and was wearing a blue t-shirt and a pink skirt. Over the shirt, she wore a pink denim vest.
Hudson walked up to the smaller girl, the smile on his face indicating his intentions exactly. "Hello foxy. The name's Hudson." The smaller girl gave a slight nervous giggle, but her eyes screamed "Touch me, and you'll be in a whole lot of trouble."
However, before anything else could happen, the woman in the blue dress stepped in. "Welcome to Auradon Prep. I'm Fairy Godmother, headmistress."
Molly's head immediately snapped towards Fairy Godmother. "The Fairy Godmother? As in 'Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo?'"
Fairy Godmother nodded. "Bibbidi Bobbidi you know it."
"Really?!" Dizzy exclaimed with a huge smile on her face. "I always wondered how Cinderella felt when you appeared, out of nowhere! With that sparkly wand and warm smile, and changed her outfit into a beautiful dress-"
"With that sparkly wand," Hudson added, getting Dizzy back on track.
"While I am glad about your enthusiasm, that was a long time ago," Fairy Godmother said. "And as I always say, 'Don't focus on the past, or you'll miss the future."
The boy stepped up. "It's so good to finally meet you all. I'm Ben."
"Prince Benjamin," the older girl said. "Soon to be king."
Dizzy squealed. "You're an actual prince?!" She rushed forward, only stepping back to curtsy before taking Ben's hand and rapidly shaking it. "I'm Dizzy, I mean Lady Dizzy, I mean Dizzy of the Isle, I mean-"
While Ben looked slightly amused at Dizzy's excitement, Audrey slowly put Ben's hand down. "Let's back up a little bit. I believe you said 'Lady Dizzy?' Well, Lady Tremaine has no status here, and neither do you."
Molly quickly intervened, putting herself inbetween Dizzy and the pink-clad girl. "Don't you dare talk to my bestie that way!"
The girl narrowed her eyes at Molly. "And just who do you think you are?"
"The name's Molly," Molly sassed. "And who do who think you are?"
"Excuse me?" the brunette sassed back. "I am Princess Audrey, Ben's girlfriend."
"Well, looks like he has bad taste," Molly said with a smirk.
"BAD TASTE?!" Audrey exclaimed as she let go of Ben and stepped forward. "For your information-"
"COOL IT, AUDREY!" the smaller girl said as she approached Molly. "I have to apologize for my older sister. Grandma dropped her on her head as a baby, and she hasn't been in her right mind since then."
"Penelope-" Audrey said before the blonde whipped towards her sister.
"IT'S PUNKY!" Punky exclaimed, rolling her eyes as she turned back to Molly and Dizzy. "I've always hated that name."
Ben chuckled nervously. "Right, how about a tour then, yeah?"
Fairy Godmother nodded. "Right. Ben, Audrey, and Punky are going to show you around, and I'll see you tomorrow. The doors of wisdom are never shut! But library hours are from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm, and I do have a thing about curfews." Then she quickly walked away, with the band following her inside.
As Dizzy and Molly backed away, Ben started to greet them indivitually. "It's so good to finally meet-" Hudson punched Ben in the side. "-you all. This is an momentous occassion, and one that I hope will go down in history..." After he shook Hadie's hand, he licked gooey substance that Hadie left on his hands. "Is that chocalate?- as the day our two peoples begin to heal."
"Or the day where you show four people where the bathrooms are," Molly added.
"A bit over the top?" Ben asked.
Molly shrugged. "Just a little. Besides, it's a been a long ride from the Isle, and we really have to go."
Ben's eyes widened. "Oh, right. We'll make this quick then." He, Audrey, and Punky started to lead the foursome into the courtyard. "Auradon Prep, originally built over 300 years ago and converted into a high school by my father when he became king." He stopped in front a statue and clapped. The statue turned from a man into a beast, making the VKs jump back a bit. "It's okay, my father wanted his statue to morph from beast to man to remind us that anything is possible."
"Does he shed much?" Molly asked.
"Yeah, mom won't let him on the couch," Ben joked.
Once they got inside, Molly decided to subtly ask about the wand. "So, you guys have a lot of magic here in Auradon? Like wands and things like that?"
"Yeah, it exists of course, but it's pretty much retired," Ben answered. "Most of us here are just ordinary mortals."
"Who just happen to be kings and queens," Molly said.
"It's true," Audrey said as she put Ben's arm around her. "Our royal blood goes back hundreds of years." Punky just rolled her eyes.
Meanwhile, Ben called down a boy with brown hair and glasses. "Doug, come down. This is Doug. He's going to help you with your class schedules and show you the dorms. I'll see you later, okay? And if there's anything you need..."
"Ask Doug," Audrey rudely interrupted before walking away with both Ben and Punky.
Doug waved. "Hey guys. I'm Dopey's son. As in Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, and... um..."
"Sneezy," Hadie said, trying to help.
"Thanks," Doug said before looking at his clipboard. "So, about your classes. I, uh, put in the requirements already: History of Woodsmen and Pirates, Safety Rules for the Internet, and Remedial Goodness 101."
"Let me guess, new class?" Molly asked. Doug nodded. "Come on guys, let's go see our dorms."
They started to walk up the stairs, but Doug stopped them. "Oh, uh, yeah. Your dorms are that way guys." He pointed in the other direction. The VKs shrugged at each other as they went in the direction that Doug pointed in.
As they walked towards their dorms, a little girl whizzed by, followed by a boy who knocked Molly to the ground.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" the boy exclaimed as he offered Molly his hand. "Are you okay?"
Molly nodded as she took the boy's hand. "I'm fine, happens all the time." Which was true, there weren't any manners on the Isle on the Lost, so the best way to get someone to move was by pushing someone.
"Hey, you're one of the new kids, aren't you?" he said once he helped Molly up. "Look, I really didn't mean to knock you over. Please don't hurt me!"
Molly smirked a little. "Well... I do have an extra voodoo doll."
The boy's eyes widened. "NO!" Molly couldn't helped but giggle, clearly indicating that she was joking. The boy frowned. "Ha. Ha. Ha."
Molly composed herself, deciding to change the conversation. "So, you go here?"
The boy nodded. "Yeah. Auradon Prep is for grades 6-12. So, how do you like it so far?"
"It's pretty good," Molly said. "Except for this one girl..."
"Audrey?" the boy questioned.
Molly raised an eyebrow. "You know her?"
"Unfortunately yes," the boy deadpanned. "She struts around the school like she's Regina George, criticizing anyone who isn't 'fashionable' enough, and thinks she's so great because she's a princess and she's dating Ben. Besides, you would not believe how much Punky complains about her."
"That bad, huhn?" Molly asked.
"Yep," the boy answered. "Don't worry though, most of the students here are pretty nice. You'll like it here."
"It's better than the Isle, that's for sure," Molly said.
She was about to say something else before Dizzy called her over. "Molly! Come on."
Molly turned back towards the boy. "I'm sorry, I have to catch up with my friend now."
"It's fine," the boy said. "I have to look for my little sister anyway. I'm supposed to be babysitting her, but she ran off."
So that was the girl that Thomas had been chasing after. Molly pointed down the hallway. "I think she went that way."
The boy started walking in that direction. "Thanks... Molly, wasn't it?" Molly nodded. "Cool. I'm Thomas. I guess I'll see you around?"
"Sure, you too." As Molly and Thomas went their separate ways, Molly still couldn't shake Thomas's face from her thoughts.
As Molly and Dizzy stepped into their bedrooms, their eyes widened.
"Wow..." Dizzy said. "This place is-"
"- amazing..." Molly finished. To their right was two lush beds with care pacakages on them and two matching bedside tables and lamps. In front of them was a big window with two chairs on either side of it. To their left was a desk right near a cozy looking fire place. Molly took off her boots and curled her toes against the carpet. It wasn't as plush as she thought it would be, but it still felt good against her feet. There was one problem though...
"It could use a bit less pink," Dizzy said.
Molly nodded. "Definitely. It could use a bit of purple over here, a bit of red over there-"
Dizzy put her hands on her hips. "What about turquoise?"
Molly shrugged. "Fine, we'll talk about it later. We've practically got forever." Neither of them wanted to think about their parents' mission for them.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter! I was thinking about Thomas referencing Heathers, but since he's twelve, I thought Mean Girls would be a better option.
