From
One General to Another…
Dear
George,

Subject: State of the SGC
George,
I figured it was about time we catch up. It's been a while. First of all, the SGC is in one piece and more or less the way you left it. Not for lack of trying on the part of the Ori, or SG-1. Reading your reports, I had to wonder how that one team always managed to get such… leeway. Now, having been in the same position, I'm left wondering how you kept them that well in check. I thought it would get easier once the whirlwind of chaos that was Vala Maldoran stopped gracing us with her presence. Turns out it only got worse. Lt. Colonel Carter comes back and now, instead of just two, there are three sets of big blue puppy dog eyes begging me to ignore Woolsey and the Pentagon whenever it suits them. Of course it works. By the way, since you left, the others have taught Teal'c to pout. You definitely had it easier.
Also, there's this Ori situation. I'd take a whole mess of egocentric snake heads over these zealot albinos and their plague any day.
Any way, how is the family? Give your granddaughters my best.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Hank
