It was another day at Ms. Grimwood's school for young ghouls as the vultures greeted the sunrise. Students stirred awake as they got up, even though today was an off day and no classes. But they had to hurry or else. Sundays had a little something to make them extra special, and now, if no one got up fast enough, it would be all gone.

"Hurry girls!" Sibella commanded as the ghouls rushed to the dining hall.

"Aroo! We can't miss it again," Winnie howled.

"Dawww...I think we're too late," Elsa said.

Today Ms. Grimwood made her famous swamp fudge breakfast pancakes and waffles, and they had to get there before she does.

She who devours food like a vacuum. Especially the special meals.

The ghouls hurried into the kitchen to young Dani, stuffing her face with Ms. Grimwood's special breakfast.

"Awooooo! Not again!" Winnie howled.

"Dawww...That's the third week in a row," Elsa stated as she grabbed a chair.

About a third of the pancakes and waffles made were eaten. The little ghost girl burped loudly in triumph at her new record, but she still had some room. How she managed her endless black hole of a stomach was a mystery.

The ghouls stared at their friend, who shrugged with a blushing smile.

"I just love food," Dani replied innocently.

"Plus, she wakes up early to help," Ms. Grimwood added.

The gang could not be mad at the halfa. They knew of her ferocious appetite, which had won a few eating contests—much to Ms. Grimwood's chagrin. The ghouls, on the other hand, cheered for their friend at such events.

Still, they all loved Ms. Grimwood's special meals, and quite a bit was gone now. A pet of their collective stomachs growled in anticipation.

Saying nothing, the ghouls got what they could get and began eating.

"Still worried about Spectra?" Tanis asked, taking a bite of her rotten omelet.

"I...I trust Danny, so it's ok. Besides, I know he won't leave me for another ghoul," Phanty remarked. She was beaming at the words, though she soon wore a small frown.

"Dawww...Sibella thinks so as well," Elsa commented with a sly smirk.

"Leave me out of this," Sibella said with a blush. The vampire tried to hide her face, but it was too late, as everyone saw.

Phantasma cackled at the antic. She knew her friend still was working out of her crush on Danny, but that did not mean the two would not squeal together after hearing of his heroics. They even found a wanted poster of him in the markets. A secret the banshee kept from her father.

That got Phanty feeling down. The ghost barely left his home. One time she heard his door was smashed in, but when questioned, Tha Phantom said some punk was pranking him. Neither Phanty nor Lady Christine believed such a lie, though it was clear they were not going to get anything out of him.

They both knew how stubborn he could be. A prideful ghost was one of the most adamant beings in the Ghost Zone.

The cute, kooky ghost girl continued eating, trying not to think about that.

Ms. Grimwood then rang an old bell to get their attention. While in an ancient state, the artifact managed a loud gong-like sound.

"Alright girls, it'll soon be time to start today's activities," Ms. Grimwood said with breakfast done.

The girls nodded and got up.

While Sundays held no class, the headmistress did not want her students out of shape or focus and had some quick routines ready before a small study hall for homework. Before any events, Danielle helped with the dishes as she talked to the gypsy. The two had become close over the year.

It made Dani happy. Happier than she would admit.

She was glad that there was at least one grownup who was genuinely kind to her, unlike an old fruitloop. However, that scarecrow has always been friendly enough to give her some of his harvests.

Breakfast continued as the remainder of the food disappeared until only a few waffles remained. Since no one wanted them, Dani reached out for them. She would dig right in, had the little dragon, Matches, not given her a puppy dog look.

"Alright. Here you go, little guy," Dani said, placing the plate in front of the reptile.

Matches smiled gleefully before digging in, causing the little ghost girl to giggle. The little dragon finished and eagerly looked up for more.

"Sorry, Matches. That was all that was left."

The dragon's face dropped as he walked to Ms. Grimwood to beg for some more food.

"Awoo—urrp—ooo! That was great!" Winnie said, patting her belly.

Sibella, Phantasma, and Elsa agreed with happy humming.

"I'm so full," Tanis commented, licking her fingers. "I need to loosen my mummy tummy wraps."

The headmistress giggled at her student's contentment with the meal. Nothing had made the woman happier than her years in teaching nowadays.

"Looks like I made enough this time," Ms. Grimwood commented with a smirk sent Dani's way. The little girl blushed as everyone glanced at her with sly grins. It was the first time they had their stomachs' fill of the special breakfast.

"But now it's time to work off that food. Come along, girls."

The girls had left with the kindly headmistress to their first activity.

Unknown to them, a particular ghost was nearby, spying on them with criminal intent. With binoculars and camouflage, the man stood still as the girls practiced their first activity, ballet.

The ghouls had put on pink tutus, something that bothered Dani. She said it clashed with her style, but the headmistress insisted.

So reluctantly, the ghost girl put it on. And so the ballet class began.

"Why do we have to do this?" Dani groaned.

"Ballet requires stamina, balance, and strength. Three things you need to understand," the headmistress answered as Hans placed a record and worked the turntable. "On top of that, you need to keep up a tempo."

"Yes, Ms. Grimwood," the girls said in unison.

The music played, and the students practiced with vigor, first with the five foot positions, then the movements.

During this time, the hunter ghost spied on them from a tree.

"Hmmm. They're pretty graceful. Even the tiny whelp," Skulker commented. A part of him seemed to enjoy watching the ballet. Not that he'd admit it.

However, the tree he was on was rotted at the base, and the added weight made it fall down. It Skulker for a moment before the hunter went intangible.

Soon enough, the class ended, and it was time for the next activity.

"Alright, girls. Time to train."

Ever since she heard of Phantasma's encounter with Ember, Ms. Grimwood's added a Supernatural Defenses class, ensuring the students would be ready for such meetings.

It wasn't a hard workout, but enough to test the natural skills of a monster. Each ghoul was assigned a specialized regiment. Phantasma and Dani would practice manipulating ecto-energy. Winnie went hunting for small game. Sibella did batcrobatics. Elsa worked on muscle and electrical discharge. Tania, the youngest, worked on her knots.

The little mummy girl fiddles with her wrappings as she looked at her classmates' strength.

"Almost got it," She muttered as she did her work out

The other ghouls did their exercises.

Sibella was getting dizzy from flying in every direction swiftly. Elsa kept her charge flowing smoothly with some weight lifting to help.

"Almost there," Winnie said in determination. She was wall scaling with her claws and had been trying to walk on the ceiling. She hadn't succeeded but never stopped trying as either Hans, Ms. Grimwood, or the ghouls caught her.

This attempt was no different than others.

"Gotcha!" Dani said with her wolfy friend in her arms. The young halfa had joined in flying, exto-discharge, and phasing. Which so many powers, it was important to train them all.

The young ghost girl was almost drained of energy when she landed with a wobble.

"Thanks, Dani," Winnie said.

"No problem. This is exhausting, though."

"At least you don't have to practice shrieking so much," Phanty panted with a sore throat.

After taking a glass of water, the ghoul took a deep breath. As a banshee, Phantasma could weaponize noise. But years of no practice made the power weak, which made her training all the more rigorous.

This'll teach that Ember McLame. Phantasma thought before producing the loudest shrilling yell. She had put enough peer into it to make the whole house shake.

The windows shattered as every monster inside covered their ears. It even reaches the Calloway Cadets.

"Wowza! That place really is torture!" cried a cadet.

"Affirmative," another said with shaking knees.

The ghostly wail continued to cause havoc as it reached the spying hunter. His mechanical suit danced with electricity.

"What the heck!?" Skulked cried out as his suit went haywire for a moment. After the sparks died down, the ghost made a mental note about Phanty's scream. He would be prepared for next time.

With banshee's shrieking died down, it was obvious no one could last much longer exercising. Though they were impressed with the banshee as they all admired her stunt, but they still had a couple more activities left.

"Alright girls, time to reweed the garden. Let's make sure the bugs had had plenty to eat as well," Ms. Grimwood said as she and the girls went outside.

The garden was overripe with squishy tomatoes and discolored cabbage, among other things. Sometimes, flies, bees, or insects, in general, got stuck inside the fruit and vegetables. The ghouls didn't mind. Insects were a treat themselves.

And pure rotten vegetables are a five-star delicacy with the way the headmistress cooked. It was a good thing she taught her students the sam recipes, or she'd had requests all year.

"Dawww...there's nothing like tending to a garden sometimes," Elsa commented as she sprayed the tomatoes.

"You got bat right," Sibella said as she and Tanis made sure the pumpkins were growing.

The little mummy girl picked up one of the orange fruits. It was healthy but too much for the little ghoul as she fell backwards.

With a splatter, Tanis got up covered in seeds and innards. "Sorry, Ms. Grimwood."

"It's alright, my dear. Now, why don't you take a bath. No mummy likes stained bandages," Ms. Grimwood said as she summoned Hans.

"I got this!" Dani said, flying over. She made Tanis and her bandages intangible with her powers, allowing the Pumpkin stains to fall out.

Tanis smiled.

"Thanks, Dani," She said sweetly.

"No problem," Dani said.

Skulker hummed to himself. He had been spying all day and was intrigued by everything.

"Hmmm. She's getting stronger. No doubt the witch is helping her."

From the waters of the moat, Skulker watched as the girls tended to the gardens. They were throwing away anything fresh. Or so they would, had Danielle not intervene, offering to eat the fresh harvest. While the ghouls didn't understand her enjoyment of such produce, they let her eat, mainly because it would mean more rotten food for them.

"It seems the ghost girl has a fondness for food," he noted, jotting it down on the note of his wrist phone. "Maybe I can use that."

Unbeknownst to the hunter, the shark inside had caught his scent. The sign of a dorsal fin alerted the ghost.

"Oh, please," he waved off.

Then the second fin popped up next to it, confusing the Hunter. Till the two heads appeared.

"What the—!?"

While Skulker was sure he can take the beast on, his thoughts were contradicted when the aquatic creature took a bite out of both arms, ripping them off.

"Oh, poopy," Skulker dreadfully said as he activated his jet pack.

But the creature spat out the arms and jumped out of the water, its jaws snatching the ghost's legs.

"That's it! Next time Vlad wants a scout, he can send someone else here!"

Limblessly, the hunter flew back as fast as he could, making himself invisible to save his dignity. But he would return for revenge, but he didn't leave unnoticed.

Deep in the swamp, Revolta, the witch of the web, watched the antics of the ghost hunter. She and her minion were not happy about his appearance.

"What shall do we about him, Revolta?" The Grim Creeper asked with a hungry grin. "Shall I feed him to my newest plants?"

"No, Grimmly," Revolta replied with one of her four hands out. "If my connections speak true, we may have to deal with his employer first."

The witch watched with a stern face as Skulker disappeared. She grabbed a book and threw it against the wall before marching over to her potions, mixing them into the cauldron.

With most activities completed, all that was left was the extra study hall. The girls were quiet as they review their homework and notes. They had been diligent in their studies and had not much left.

The ghouls were done within the hour. This left the rest of the day free, allowing the girls to do as they please within reasonable extents, such as not pranking the Calloway students next door too much.

"Arooo! So, what are we gonna do?" Winnie asked.

"How about some volleyball?" Sibella said with a ball in hand. "We don't get much time to play for fun."

"Daww...sounds good to me," Elsa said.

Dani flew after the girls but was called to by Ms. Grimwood, who held a vial in her hand.

"Oh, and Dani, don't forget to take your vitamins," Ms. Grimwood said, stopping the young halfa.

"Alright, Ma—Ms. Grimwood," Dani replied, grabbing the vial from the woman's hand and gulping it down quick.

"Very good..."The teacher said. "Now have fun, dearie."

The ghouls were having an intense game of volleyball intense due to the fact they were partially exhausted, especially Phanty. So they sat down for a mod-game break, where they talked about the coming holidays.

One the young halfa had never heard of.

"Spring Break?" Dani asked. "What's that?"

The ghouls turned to Dani. Winnie howled in concern as Tanis joined the halfa by her side.

"It's this big break we get during the spring," the young mummy girl explained.

"Oh yes, it's when we relax with friends and family and fang out like crazy for a whole week," Sibella said.

"Aroo! Me and my papa are gonna hit the Howling Man event in New Mexico," Winnie said

"Dawww...me and dada will relaxing in a monster spa at Lake Maracaibo," Elsa said.

"And I am gonna be building sandcastles with my mummy daddy," Tannis said, creating shapes with her hands.

The ghouls giggled in glee as they awaited the holiday. Festivities and fun would be abundant as they enjoyed the days off, especially after many testes that had come within the last few weeks.

"What about you Phanty?" Dani asked.

"Me and my haunting hunk are going to spend the whole week together! Phanty screamed before going into her signature cackle. "It's going to be glowsome! My mom agreed to it, and so did Danny's parents. Though Jazz will be joining us, saying there needs to be some supervision. Not that it will make a difference." Phanty added the last part with a sly grin.

Dani looked happy, but her face fell as she thought about Phantasma spending time with Danny and Jazz. It was no secret the young halfa wanted to spend time with her "cousin," but Jack and Maddie didn't know of her existence yet.

"Can I come?" Dani asked, as she really wanted to come and spend time with Danny

Phanty heard this, smiled, and nodded. There was no reason the ghost girl shouldn't come.

"Definitely, the more, the scarier," Phanty said, and Dani smiled widely.

The ghostly girls squeed in delight as they hopped into the air, circling each other in hand. It wasn't long before the rest followed and gathered into a group hug.

"This is going to be the best Spring Break ever!" Phanty cried out.

Dani smiled widely and nodded.

"Dawww...but won't your dada try and stop you?" Elsa asked.

Phantasma grimaced. He'd probably be screaming up a storm in the Ghost Zone again. A sight she did not want to be near, ever. While the ghoul wanted her father to be accepting, she feared that would be in a few centuries at his rate. However, her mother, Lady Christine, had a system to ensure the man would not bother her or Danny.

The Phantom growled in anger at the thought of that punk. He circled his chair in deep thought.

And it wasn't just Danny who aggravated him. Vlad Masters had kept close eyes on the ghost. He noticed a few ghostly vultures stalking his domain. He would have fended off the birds but didn't want to do anything that could alert the older halfa.

"I have got to do something. The overprotective father thought. Phantasma doesn't understand boys like I do. A father knows best for his kids.

It was then he stopped with a grin.

"Maybe there is a way to protect Phanty," The Phantom Father said in a dark tone. Quickly going to the yellow pages he kept on a shelf, the ghost searched for a few numbers before heading to the phone.

Short and sweet, as we see Phanytasma and Dani enjoy another day in school. The next chapter will have Spring Break!

Yeah, baby!

Even Deadpool's excited.

Special Thanks! to Flower Princess11 for all her help!
