Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom or Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School. I do not own the original story this is based on.

It was the final day for Danny and company at their stay at the spa. Danny and Phanty were enjoying themselves at the pool. The hot sun and cool waters were marvelous. In fact, it was so great, they had a small race in the chilling waters to the other side of the pool.

While Danny had his strength, he ultimately lost to the serpentine style of Phantasma's swimming. The two laughed as they lounged in a corner. The ghost boy gave the banshee a quick peck on the lips.

"I gotta say, lounging in the sun is pretty nice," Phanty cackled. She glanced at the sun, its harsh rays not particularly a bother for the small moment she liked. "Normally, I'd be in a boggy swamp or someplace else dark and dreary. But, this is nice."

"Well, that's one of the reasons we're here." Danny propped himself at the edge. Phanty wrapped her arms around the ghost boy. "I know you like all the monster world has to offer—"

"—something I'm gonna show you at the end—" Phanty bopped his nose.

"—yeah, but I want you to enjoy some human word stuff too."

The two relaxed quietly. It was a lovely day, and there was no reason to do anything.

"The buffet!" a patron cried out.

"Well, Dani's awake," Danny chucked.

"And I think she's with Shaggy and Scooby-Doo," Phanty lightly cackled.

The entire display of pancakes, waffles, egg dishes, fruit, smoothies, tea, coffee, cereal, milk, and pastries had been licked clean, literally. In fact, Scooby-Doo could be seen licking off the last bit in a corner before running off with five plates of the last waffles drowned in maple syrup with whipped cream and strawberries on top drizzled in chocolate.

The dog licked his lips as he joined Shaggy and Dani at the table. If there was one other thing he was happy for, besides the gift of speech, it was that his mutation allowed him to eat anything that would be poisonous to most dogs, like chocolate. The two were finishing off their impromptu bacon, eggs, cheese, and chicken waffle sandwiches.

The rest of the Mystery Gang were glad to see that Shaggy and Scooby found a follow glutton of delicious foods like themselves. But it slightly concerned them that there was now one more mouth that acted like a bottomless pit that could nearly deplete this resort's food supply.

"Yum!..."Dani said with her mouth full.

"Like yeah!" Shaggy said before stuffing his face with his sandwich. "Mmmmm!"

Scooby snickered before stuffing his own face. The dog and owner enjoyed these times with great mirth. And it had become more so with Dani joining them. They had been sharing a world of flavor with the girl, who was more than happy to experiment.

The other patrons were slightly scared, while the Mystery gang just ignored them. It was nothing new to them.

"Sometimes I wonder where it all goes," Velma said, somewhat exasperated.

That is when Danny and Phanty arrived. The ghostly couple ignored the binge eating as well, having seen stranger things.

"So...gonna miss the food here?" Danny said to his young clone, who is still eating.

"Definitely," Dani said with her mouth full and cheeks soaked in syrup. The ghost boy laughed as he gave her a napkin. Phanty cackled as the ghost girl cleaned herself off.

"I wonder how long it'll take them to realize that there are other patrons that are hungry too? Hopefully, that's not too long for the boys to figure out that they're being outdone by a little girl. Now that would be embarrassing," Daphne commented, knowing that Shaggy and Scooby took pride in their stomachs that each held the current world records of eating. They had that page in the world record book for years.

"Like when you were flirting with me?" Danny snarked. Daphne blushed as she hid behind her drink. Fred gave the boy a raised brow as he stared as the others laughed. Though the redhead wasn't the only one to be jabbed at.

"Didn't it take you the next day to realize Daphne was flirting with you?" Tucker asked.

Now it was Danny's turn to blush as Phanty softly glared. That was an embarrassing moment for him as he and Tucker had decided to hang out for a moment while Velma went to get her prescription goggles and Phanty went to speak with her mother. The gears in the ghost boy's head had whirred with a snap while the boys walked to the pool. Tucker could remember his friend suddenly stopping and said, "That hot girl was flirting with me!?"

After a quick explanation, Tucker put two and two together and knew the girl to be Daphne. The redhead was absent during the introductions, which led to an even funnier moment.

"How did you get twenty-eight girls from the dating service to want a second date and still be clueless?" Tucker asked.

"I was just being myself," Danny answered before blinking. "wait, what do you mean still clueless?"

And things were even more awkward as Phantasma was adequately introduced to the mystery gang. Daphne was there as well, and she remembered the cute ghost boy she flirted with. Needless to say, things almost got tense. Danny would have to be a little more careful the next a beautiful girl flirts with, for both his and the girl in question's sake. While Phantasma's jealousy is far more manageable than her father was even on his best days.

Danny would have to be a little more careful the next a beautiful girl flirts with, for both his and the girl in question's sake. While Phantasma's jealousy is far more manageable than her father's was, even on his best days.

"Hey, you're the cute guy from before," Daphne said, now recognizing the boy.

"Cute guy?" Fred was curiously jealous. He had seen many guys go after Daphne, but she showed none of them any interest. Until now.

Danny blushed at that, and unfortunately, Phanty heard this and got mad. While the banshee knows she hooked the boy, she couldn't;t help but feel her jealousy rise.

"You were flirting with my boyfriend!?" Phantasma cried out.

"Sorry, I didn't know he was seeing anyone." Daphne blushed. She didn't notice the jealous face in Fred.

"That doesn't make it alright!" The banshee gave a ghostly glare.

Feeling threatened, Phantasma wrapped herself tightly around the ghost boy. If she put any more strength into it, she would have been a ghostly boa constrictor. Luckily she didn't have the actual power to do so, and Danny, Shaggy, and Scooby laughed at her antics. Jazz and Dani gave smirks with Daphne and Velma.

Tucker and Fred rolled their eyes as the latter dropped his jealousy for amusement.

"I gotta say when you told that your friend was a bit oblivious to other girls liking him. I didn't expect it to be this much," Fred whispered to Tucker.

"Dude, you have no idea," Tucker quietly responded. "Although hearing that from you is like hearing the pot calling the kettle black," Tucker thought to himself.

As the boy had their private discussion amongst themselves, the girls tried their best to put the metaphorical flames of their own problems.

So, just because she thought Danny was single, she thought he could swoop in. Phanty thought as she looked at Daphne.

I guess Danny's really taken with Phanty. Darn, another one gone. Daphne thought in awkwardness as she tried to keep quiet.

That day was awkward and almost tiresome. Phantasma barely left Danny's side since, and there was almost so much the ghost boy could take. He was serious with Phantasma, but there were times she could be too much. At least she didn't follow him into the restroom.

"I will say this, though," Daphne said with a sultry smile, turning to Phantasma. "You landed a nice boy. If you're not together next time, I might just try again."

Though Daphne's tone was playful, Phantasma's face turned red with puffed cheeks as she grabbed Danny's arm. The ghost boy was pulled as he took a sip of his drink, noticing the childishly angry face on the banshee.

"Not going to happen!" Phanty added

Shaggy leaned over to Daphne. "Like, trust me, Daph, you don't want to tick off her dad."

After breakfast, the mystery gang met up with Danny and company at the reception desk. They all wanted to say their goodbyes, for this was much better than being at the buffet where Shaggy and Scooby would team up with Dani in emptying the trays of food.

"Like finally Scoob, we meet someone who really knows how to eat," Shaggy said after cleaning off his twenty-sixth plate.

"Reah!" Scooby agreed.

"I know." Dani cleaned off another plate. "everyone looks at me weird."

Like, don't sweat it. You're in good company with me and Scoob here. Right, good buddy?" Shaggy said as he then scarfed down another plate. It was almost something out of a manga how the boy shoveled down food.

Danny saw this and chuckled. He was happy to see the girl smiling and connecting with others-even it was over food.

Aww, thanks, guys. Anyway, I should get going since Jazz will just lecture me about punctuality if I stay and stuff my face any longer." Danielle said as she walked out of the dining room and headed to where the older Fenton was. Only to quickly come back and finish her glass of soda. Which caused her to make the most prominent and loudest belch, that it even slightly shook most of the resort.

"Goops, excuse me. Bye, Shaggy and Scooby." Dani cheerfully said after a small laugh. She waved them goodbye and ran towards her and Jazz's room.

"What a nice kid. I get the feeling that we haven't seen the last of her, right Scoob?" Shaggy asked his long-time friend. Scooby simply chuckled and nodded in agreement with his human companion as they continued to their respective meals.

It was a bright, beautiful day as Tucker got ready to spend time with Velma. He had been looking forward to this for weeks and was finally going to have a day alone with his girlfriend.

He could hardly wait as he got dressed and packed to the brim with tech. The boy had standards with his gear. He even had waterproof accessories for his tech.

After a quick shower, checking the checklist off his PDA, and a once-over in the mirror, he was ready to start the day with his perfect match.

"This is gonna be a great day," Tucker said as he waltzed out the door.

Tucker soon met up with Velma. Fred and Daphne lounged by the pool, soaking up the sun's rays. A couple of guys came and flirted with the redhead but were shooed away. Shaggy and Scooby could be seen at the buffet, eating up everything in sight and almost exhausting the spa's cooking staff, though they did appreciate the duo's actions. It was nice having someone love their food. All this meant that they would be alone.

Tucker saw Velma by the pool in a swimsuit, a sight he always liked.

"Hey there, you look great..."He said as he took a seat next to her.

"Thank you..."The brainy girl said, kissing the boy on the cheek.

"Ready for the day?"

"Of course."

Soon the two teens left to enjoy the wonders of the spa, with a whole day planned with a couple of activities. Unaware that their day would take a different turn of events.

Meanwhile, in the resort's kitchen, all the chefs and cooks were on pins and needles trying to keep up with the seemingly never-ending appetites of some of the new patrons. Thankfully one of them had finally left, but that still left them with the other two to deal with. But at the very least, they did clean their plates. In fact, they were all licked clean too.

"Hey Frank, do we have any more bread and potatoes in stock?" Asked the new intern.

"I don't know, Phil. Why don't you check out the basement? We got plenty of room there!" a worker snapped back.

"B-b-b-but, that's where the ghost stalks!" the boy replied. "No one's been there for years."

Velma heard this and sighed.

"Looks like we have a mystery on our hands," Velma commented. She groaned at having a working vacation. Knowing Fred, it was time for the gang to regroup and split up the moment he heard.

Seemed like a complete waste of time. But if Velma wanted a real vacation, it was better that she and Tucker go. It wasn't like they couldn't handle this. A small resort rumor that hasn't made any headlines in months? Sounds low profile all around.

Dragging the techno-geek, Velma decided to get things over with.

"I wonder if Danny's having a day like this," Tucker pondered as he followed Velma. "Can't be worse than this."

Danny and Phanty decided on a more exclusive day. Which was a day at a beach in a city miles away from the spa. The good thing about the Specter Speeder was it could cover that distance with no hassle. A quick pitstop before resuming their travels.

Plus, the ghostly couple could use a break. Dani was so excited by the sights, she almost phased out of the ship. While she could fly, no one, especially Danny and Phantasma, wanted her roaming out independently.

The view was spectacular as the soft beach sand hugged the ghostly couple warmly by their feet. People were out and about soaking up rays and having a blast. Picking a spot, the couple laid down with their towels in a more secluded area by the borders of the beach. Phanty was still wearing a one-piece but added a hat and umbrella to her ensemble. While she could enjoy the sun, there were times when it became too much.

Their hands brushed each other before intertwining. They were happy. As they leaned for a kiss, a voice broke the atmosphere.

"Danny! It is you!"

Danny jolted up. Only one person had a voice that could do that to him. He turned around and saw that it was who he suspected.

Katie Kaboom.

The ghost boy wanted to disguise himself, but he had nothing but the clothes on his skin. So he gripped Phanty's hand tighter. The banshee winced a little but was more concerned with her boyfriend's behavior. She noticed the blonde girl walked towards her and caught her stare. A shaky, HOPEFUL gaze. She also saw the look on Danny's face. He was scared, even though she was in a bikini. Since her father or the other ghosts never did that, the banshee was on high alert.

Phantasma was ready for a fight. After everything she had to go through, nobody was taking Danny from her. Ghost, human, or whatever she is. She would not deter. In response, she moved closer to Danny, wrapping his arm with her body. But she stopped when she noticed the intimacy of the situation worsened her boyfriend's mood.

The blonde girl was feeling a mix of nervousness, anxiety, hope, and happiness.

"H-Hey, Danny," Katie said.

"H-Hi Katie," Danny managed to stutter out. "I didn't think I'd see you..."

"I know! What are the chances!?" Katie asked with a smile, which faded as she noticed the young girl holding Danny's hand.

"Hello," Phanty said through a faux smile. Jealousy aside, Phanty would only finish something, not start it.

"I'm Phantasma, Danny's Girlfriend." Phantasma emphasized the last word as she squeezed his hand tighter.

Katie heard this and cringed. She had a feeling that Danny might have found someone but hoped that it was not the case. It seemed she was wrong.

"Ohhh..." Katie's eyes went red for a moment before she calmed herself down.

She did not want to go wild right now.

Not in front of him or other people.

Never again.

"I...I see. Nice to meet you..." Katie said with a forced grin.

"I'm Katie. Katie Kaboom. I take it you're the girl Danny chose from the dating service?"

Yep," the banshee replied bluntly.

The two locked eyes, their bland, emotionless eyes. But Katie felt hers twitching, and soon she saw red.

"I see. I'm s-sorry, but I think I hear my brother calling. He's gotten better and has just been aching for this family trip."

Katie ran, not letting her tears fall until she was sure they couldn't see her.

While Danny was happy she was gone, the look in her eye gave him a sense of dread. Like it was the carnival all over again. He shuddered like it was cold, only for Phanty to envelop him in a hug. It helped as he decided now wasn't the time to think about the past. He was here with his girlfriend, and he wanted nothing more than to enjoy it.

Katie had to hide. She either had to get back to the mansion or an open, unpopulated area before it was too late.

She ended up running into the nearby woods, and as soon as she was sure that no one was around to get hurt, she let it out.

"AHHH!..." Katie yelled as her monster side took over.

Trees and stones were smashed as the girl made craters in the ground. All that pain she went through mentally and emotionally was let out in a single rampant tantrum. Once she took her frustration out on the landscape, a tired Katie breathed heavily, having spent her energy. She soon returns to her normal form.

"I really thought I had a chance," She cried.

She had feelings for the boy, yes, but she was not the same person he met from the start. She had changed, and she needed him to know that. Maybe then, when this relationship was over, he might go to her. I mean, there is a chance.

She has been training hard to master her powers. And had made progress.

But now, her dreams had been dashed by another girl—one who seems to be younger than her and Danny. Katie could only whine and moan at the lost love as she watched a younger take the boy of her dreams away.

It's not fair! She thought in jealousy and disbelief repeatedly. She looked at herself. Her figure was more developed than Phantasma, and yet Danny had chosen her.

The blonde girl found her body limp. She is too tired to use her powers properly, but instead, she opted to walk and clear her head.

"Danny..." She whispered, her heart ached.

Rumors through the grapevine spread fast throughout the entire resort that another ghost was haunting the place. Or they would have if the staff was particularly concerned. Earlier during the beginning of the spa's opening, there was another mystery involving a ghost dinosaur, but that was debunked to be a sham. Although after the ghostly fight, a new crowd of ghost fans started to fill up guest room vacancies.

The couple had gone to search by themselves. They knew if Fred heard of this, he'd get everyone involved. Daphne had just gotten comfortable at the pool while Shaggy and Scooby helped themselves to some fun in the sun. Velma knew they needed to burn off all the consumed calories.

Which meant the love bird were on their own. First stop, the basement. It was dark and almost dreary as Tucker and Velma looked around with flashlights. Shelves were stocked with various supplies and equipment with a spare freezer and pantry inside for extra food. The fact that the combination of Shaggy, Scooby, and Dani had not managed to devour every last crumb was incredible.

It seemed the chefs knew better. Perhaps from the last time they visited.

While this was normal, what wasn't were the ghastly faces that seemed to show up in the dark. Tucker would shine his light, but the faces would come after. And Velma was caught in some strange spider webs that were there one minute then gone the next. Not to mention for a moment, it seemed like bats were making their nest here.

"Jinkies, whoever is down here has some interesting hobbies," Velma said as she looked around the place.

"Strange..." Tucker said, getting out his PDA. He tried to make sense of things, but his device was picking up something from a large structure that looked like a nest from a sci-fi flick. "If this is supposed to be a whatever-it-is, then why does it have a signal coming from it?"

The couple unfurled the pile to see a large computer tower underneath. From the looks of the device, it was brand new and the latest model. Tucker recognized it almost immediately.

"Hey! This is the Swordfish Gaming PC Tower! They showcased it at the last Stark expo! These things have to be worth a fortune! How could anyone afford this!?"

"And who would hide it below a spa?"

Just then, a bright light was shining over the glasses-wearing couple. "Hey! What're you two doing down here?!" yelled the prominent unknown figure pointing his bright flashlight at them.

Tucker and Velma turned around to see a familiar face. Well, not exactly familiar, but the man was wearing the spa uniform. He was a handsome man, like someone from an overly romanticized movie, with flowing black locks of hair that would sway in the wind.

"Hey, wait! You're that really hot masseuse!" Tucker called out, now recognizing the man. Velma gave a playful smirk at the boy for that comment. Something he noticed. "What? He is!"

"Yes, and you two are in my secret spot!" the attractive man cried out.

The couple only narrowed their eyes at him.

"Alright, fess up," Velma sighed. "What was your plan?"

"Plan? What plan? I was working on something to draw customers in. Our manager has been asking about seasonal ideas, and it's my job to work on the fall events. Like Halloween."

"Halloween?..."Velma repeated and studied the surroundings with more vigor. While the area was decorated in a spooky manner, none of it told of danger or worse. Instead, it looked more like something out of a Halloween movie with pumpkins cutouts littering the place.

The masseuse proved his declaration further by pressing a few buttons on the nearby computer and holographic images of paranormal monsters showing up out of nowhere, seemingly chasing down no one in particular. Even the bats from before appeared squeaking and all.

"Huh, it does look like Halloween," Tucker added, taking a pic with his PDA.

"I was working on a promotional gimmick, but thanks to you meddling kids, that won't happen," the manager groaned. "And worst of all, you ruined my man cave!"

"Ok, sorry!" Tucker back away. "But I gotta ask, how could you afford the pc tower?"

The hot masseuse gave a laugh as he flipped his hair majestically. "You'd be surprised how much I make in tips."

Velma rolled her eyes while Tucker got curious.

"So, wait a minute? This is not a scheme or something to find a lost treasure? Or something similar?" Tucker asked.

Velma giggled. "Not all mysteries are like that."

Tucker groaned loudly as he looked at the mess. He and Velma wasted a perfect day solving a mystery that was just...not a real mystery.

Velma gave a sympathetic smile as she gave him a quick kiss. There was still time for some fun in the sun. Flipping her hair and giving her body a little shake, the girl enticed her boyfriend to follow.

The "perp" got up and started cleaning things as they left. He glanced at the two with jealously as they went.

"I need to get a girlfriend," he mumbled sadly.

This was supposed to be posted last week, but things have been busy. Still, a great way to bring in Ectober! You'll be seeing more of Danny and Phanstama for sure. Not to mention the upcoming chapters of Danny and Spectra as well. Though please DO NOT ask about updates for that side story here. It can be extremely demotivating.
