Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom or Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School. I do not own the original story this is based on.

Danny woke up in school. He blinked in confusion and noticed he wasn't in his comfy bed. Though he still felt the urge to fall asleep, the ghost boy saw himself seated at his desk.

"Oh great, another dream where I'm in school," Danny groaned, getting up. He rubbed his eyes as he saw himself in his regular clothes.

"Well, at least I have pants this time."

Despite his humor, many questions entered the boy's mind. He wondered how he got here and who dressed him, but everything was put on pause as he heard something.

"Danny?" Sam said groggily. She noticed the ghost boy and immediately wondered what was going on.

"Sam? Where did you come from and why are we at school?" Danny asked.

"I don't know." Sam got up from her desk.

They were both dressed in school wear, an odd thing since they last remembered being in PJs. The two didn't think further as it was more pressing as to why they were here.

"I wanna know who brought us here...and who dressed us up like this!" The goth shouted in indignation.

Sam was distressed as she noticed her outfit was of her previous gothic attire of a black tank top with a black skirt and green plaid lines.

"Ok, whoever changed me is going to feel several painful fists in their face!" Sam yelled. The girl felt like a doll stripped of her independence and privacy. Something that hadn't happened since before she could fight back.

"This is almost as bad as when my parents try and dress me up," Sam said in anger. She almost shuddered, remembering the many shades of pink they had once brought out. If it wasn't for her grandmother, who knows how many more shades she would learn.

"Sam, calm down...Let's just figure out what's going on first..."Danny said.

Sam tried to calm down and nodded as she knew they had to investigate things.

They began walking down the hall, looking for any clues or signs about what was going on. Beginning with their lockers, which were in the exact same place they had always been.

Carefully, the two reached their cabinets with their hands on the locks. After inputting the combinations, the locks fell with a loud thud that echoed in the hallways.

"Well, that wasn't ominous," Sam snarked.

"You sure this is a good idea?" Danny asked. His hands touched the locker as if trying to feel for whatever could be inside besides his books and various trinkets.

"Well, these are our lockers. So, there should be clues in them." Sam said.

"Sam, that sounds like an old movie cliche," Danny snarked.

"You got a better idea?"

Danny tried to speak but choked on any words or opinions. He went to his locker in a grumbly attitude, feeling the smug smirk coming from Sam. the two went to work, opening their lockers for clues, but had a most unexpected one.

The teen opened their lockers only to find no paper or clues but torture devices. Sam's locker door burst open as saws and scalpels extended with leather straps binding coil around her to drag her in. Danny had a horrifying yellow monster jumped out with fangs and claws, covered in fur. It pushed the ghost boy down as its mouth snarled and foamed.

"Sam!" Danny yelled under the strain of the beast's strength. "I think the clue is the school's out to kill us!"

"Or worse!" Sam added, pulling away with all her strength. This was something out of a horror film she didn't want to be a part of.

"What can be worse?..."Danny had to ask as he tried to help her.

"I don't know!" Sam yelled, reaching out to grab anything, but she was too far from Danny for any support.

In a flash of light, two rings transformed Fenton into Phantom. The monster leaned back from the flash before snarling with all its teeth in view.

While his ghostly form passed tremendous strength, the ghost boy had trouble pushing the monster back. Its snarling fangs and sharp claws threatened to rip him to ribbons. So, the boy phased through the ground, coming up, grabbing the beast by the legs, and throwing him into the lockered wall. The lockers tumbled and crashed loudly, echoing in the halls.

"I hope the school is insured, cause this won't end peacefully," Danny quipped, firing off ecto blasts. He aimed behind, knocking off a few of the straps on Sam. He would have shot more if the yellow beast hadn't jumped him.

The creatures had rapid eyes that went wild, glaring at the ghost boy with a fierceness, creeping him out.

"Ok, you're tougher than you look," Danny said as he stared back.

The wild eyes beast snarled before lunging its jaws forward. Danny grabbed both ends of the mouth, but it was barely enough as more straps came from Sam's locker, pulling her back toward the blades and saws.

"Danny! Now would be a good time to beat up the monster and save me!" Sam screamed in a panic. She tried to pull off the bindings, but more came to constrict her limbs. The girl trip, clawing at the floor in hopes of surviving.

Danny was doing his best, but the creature held the boy down with his expanding jaws opening wide. It looked like one bite would take the top of the ghost boy.

"Hey, you know, this guy kinda looks like Dash." Danny saw how the top of the beast's head resembled the jock, down to the blue eyes. His build was similar to the football player, with a jacket the ghost boy now noticed.

Seeing the similarities, Danny couldn't help putting charging his fists. While a part of him was frightened by the monster with another asking what was going on, a small portion of him wanted nothing more than to punch the beast's face out of pure catharsis.

Soon, both hands fired ecto-energy, feeding the monster a meal he couldn't digest. The beast snarked, walking back as Danny got up and threw a fist as hard as he could. The ghastly thing flew back into the lockers, with an imprint of the ghost boy's fist on its face. It snarled before passing out, limping its body.

"Ok, that felt good," Danny commented, only to be reminded of Sam's predicament from her screams.

"Danny!" Sam was being dragged into the locker. All the saw and scalpels buzzed and laughed as the girl inched closer.

An ice blast froze the straps and blade as a substantial chop shattered them. Sam dropped like a stone, hitting the ground with a thud. The girl was never more relieved in her life.

"For a moment, I actually wanted my parents!" Sam proclaimed. She turned to stare sternly at Danny. "Do not tell anyone I ever said that."

Danny nodded, more concerned with his friend's we being. He held out a hand and helped the girl up.

"Ok, I know school is torture, but I never meant like this!" Danny snarked.

The ghost boy dusted himself off. Studying the hallways with more focus for anything out of the sort. It was like a funhouse from hell, with him and Sam in it. Given that nothing looked out of the ordinary, it was the best guess that Danny and Sam would not be able to tell what could happen. Any step they took might trigger something, just like with the lockers.

But why hasn't anything happened till now? And who could do this to the school?

It was safe to say the faculty wasn't in on this. They'd never harm a student.

Danny cautiously gestured for Sam to follow. The now dressed goth girl, feeling incredible dread, clung to the ghost boy as the two walked hand in hand down the hallway. The long corridor now scaled back as darkness was seen on the other side, twisting the teens' perception. Each step felt like hours as the two were on guard, not noticing the security camera following them.

All the while, a certain ghost girl saw the interaction between the two teens and got jealous.

"Keep your hands off my haunting hunk!" Phantasma screamed. She did not like this one bit, especially the part where Sam was alone with Danny. The banshee would trade places with the girl in a heartbeat, unaware of the deadly horrors awaiting the duo.

Though it was safe to say part of her would like that.

But that would be for another time. Right now, the banshee had to deal with the annoying company of Sydney Pointdexter: a ghost with the appearance of a stereotypical nerd in the seventies.

"Phanty, he's not worth it!" Pointdexter exclaimed in jealousy. "Why do you even want him?"

Phantasma huffed. It was no secret the ghost nerd like her. He had even appeared with flowers and chocolates at her door. The banshee had no interest in him, a fact made obvious many times. She tried ignoring him, but he would then pester her with questions.

"Besides the fact he's an awesome guy who all that?" Phanty teased, giving the ghost a smug smirk.

"I'm telling you, he's bad news!" Pointdexter yelled for the umpteenth time.

Phantasma paid him no mind as she floated away. The nerdy ghost was more annoying than her father was with boys. Ironic because the unwanted suitor never seemed to understand how dangerous he was.

"And I'm telling you, my haunting hunk isn't the kind of ghost you're saying," Phanty huffed.

"And I'm telling you, you don't know him!" Pointdexter yelled. "He's a bully who uses his powers to hurt people! Look at how he dealt with the monster. As soon as he noticed it looked like that poor boy he sees at school, he didn't hold back!"

"That poor boy is a bully! And besides, other ghosts hurt people. Have you seen how some ghost practice their haunting?"

Sydney stopped, unable to answer. He didn't know how some ghost started getting kicks out of scaring people during the haunting hour. Some had flipped people onto the ceiling as they shivered in fright. Others would wait till the crack of dawn and roar as loud as they could for a wake-up call. Any residence inside woke up with a heart-churning scream. There had even been a handful that scared humans on the toilet, making them turn the porcelain throne browner than ever. And was the tip of the iceberg.

"Well, that doesn't mean you should date one!"

"Danny is nothing like that? Have you even met him?!"

"Why do you think I'm doing this!? To prove to you he's not the right one for you!"

Phantasma smacked herself. The lengths this ghost was going to were embarrassing for himself and Danny. It was obvious how he was trying to prove his worth, but the banshee saw no appeal in him. Not to mention what else he kept insisting on.

She turned to the screens and watched on, ignoring Pointdexter. The only thing that could make her smile was seeing her haunting hunk in action.

Meanwhile, a third guest watched from behind. He spoke not a word as he conjured a nice drink with an umbrella in it. A sinister smile complimented his eased eyes, wondering what would be thrown at the ghost boy and goth girl next.

The anticipation seemed tantalizing.

Danny and Sam tread carefully, reaching their homeroom. If anything could clue them in to what is happening, this place was the best starting point.

"You ready?" Danny asked with his hand on the knob. Sweat beads on his head as Sam stands behind him, holding an ice construct of a bat.

"I'll be fine, though I just wish I had powers at the moment," Sam snarked, keeping a grip on the club.

"We'll be ok...just stay close to me...'He said as they entered.

Once inside, they looked around and saw a regular classroom with the teacher's desk at the front and rows of the student desks facing towards. Shelves and the like seemed fine. In fact, everything seemed normal, right down to the widows and the dark abyss they were showing.

The two teens blinked when they took a double-take at the windows. Empty darkness as far as they could see. It was maddening, stringing the duo along before they shook their heads to faze it out.

"Uhh...I don't think we're in Amity Park anymore," Sam said blankly. The goth girl and the ghost boy stared out the window to see an empty void encompassing the school. Either they were trapped in another dimension or going crazy.

Either way, the duo didn't have time to stop and ponder as the desks inside snarled, showing off long, jagged teeth with tongues hanging out. Eyes came from the tops of the chairs, glaring at the two.

"Now would be a good time to run?" Sam asked, truly frightened by the situation now.

Danny responded with a nod, blasting the desks back as they lunged. He grabbed Sam, slammed the door, and froze the exits closed. The ghost boy carried his friend as he flew past through the hallway. The floor tiles shined as they lifted and spun like saw blades, chasing after them.

Whatever was happening, the school was made into a personal warzone. And the sides were Danny and Sam against everything inside.

Phantasma watched with worries. The banshee believed Danny would make it, her heart kept yelling that. Sam was a different matter to her as the girl didn't have anything to defend herself.

I know she doesn't like me, but I don't want something to happen to Sam.

All the while, she glanced at her phone, using it to spy on their third audience member. While Pointdexter, who was rubbing his face after the banshee punched him for trying to wrap an arm around her, was annoying, this ghost was not one you'd take lightly.

Just wait a little more, Danny. If anything happens, I know just what to do. Phantasma thought.

All the while she heard a content hum from the ghost. She looked to the screen and went wide eye.

And we have the start of a new adventure for Danny and Phantasma. This will deal with an important issue that hadn't been resolved. So, I'm glad to be writing this now. Short but sweet. Next chapter, we'll get into more details of how Pointdexter did all this.

Reviews:

RonaldM40196867: Not really. I thought it would be fitting as part of her character arc.

LockAndKey989: It's neither. The Phantom wasn't anywhere near the couple. Plus, he'd throw a screaming fit as he attacked Danny. And Vlad has no idea about the monster resorts yet. Trauma can be emotionally exhausted, including when you first start healing. He'll get better over time.

Jebest4781: Thanks!

61394: Neither villain nor plant girl. Maybe the latter for later in the next Monster High visit.

Luiz4200: I'll have to double-check on that. The Spider-Man in this fic is from the 2017 series.
