No notes, just enjoy!

The drive to the women's clinic just outside of Beacon Hills felt like the longest drive Faith ever took. School dragged on way too long that day, and Faith could not concentrate on anything. Even during music class her instrument sounded horribly off key and she kept coming in on the wrong cues. Never had she ever messed up that much since she first picked up a violin and it was embarrassing. This whole baby thing has gotten Faith fucked up big time. Once she literally nips it in the bud though, everything will finally go back to normal and she can just move on with her life.

Probably the worst and surprising thing about this was knowing how hurt Isaac was over it. They haven't spoken to each other since Isaac left Faith's house the other night, but whenever they passed by each other at school, she could just see it in his eyes that he was deeply affected by her choice. Sometimes Faith would catch him staring at her stomach longingly, no doubt pained by the fact that he would never get to meet their child. Isaac then would quickly keep his head down whenever he realized that Faith had seen him. She had never seen this dark side of him before, not even when his dad was still alive. Had she really hurt Isaac that bad?

Regardless, she felt like a huge bitch. It wasn't like she was doing this to punish Isaac. Maybe in another world where they were older and had their shit together, they could have worked something out where they could raise a baby. And yeah, Isaac may have said that he wanted to be a father and do this with Faith, but Faith had her suspicions that his mindset was a little clouded from all the trauma he had faced. Isaac was probably just trying to fill that empty void he had inside his heart and wanted her and her pregnancy as the placeholder. Once reality set in for him though, Faith was positive he would bail the first chance he got. He had already done it once before, disregarding his protests that he would never leave again.

She did need to give Isaac a little more credit than that. Back when they were closer, he was always so good to Faith. A little shit a times, but he used to be so sweet and thoughtful. Well, some of that side was still there, underneath the cool macho man exterior. Why couldn't things just go back to the way they used to be? Back when it was so much easier to be carefree and enjoy life… and to be in each other's company every second of every day…

"Alright, ma'am, here's some more coffee for you," Faith smiled, setting down a steaming hot cup in front of the customer, "Is there anything else I can get for you?"

"I think that'll be all for right now, dear," the older woman smiled back, "Thank you so much."

"You are very welcome. Enjoy the rest of your meal."

Taking the already used cup, Faith walked back to behind the bar top where her boss, Missy, watched her newest employee getting used to serving by herself. Faith had only started working at Sam's Diner about a month ago, training underneath Missy every weekend up until today. Now the training wheels were coming off, and the young girl was doing fantastic so far. Her anxiety wasn't acting up at all or anything, which Faith gave herself a pat on the back for.

Missy grinned at her. "Well, look at you, girly. Looks like you're getting the hang of this."

"Really?" Faith asked hopefully, "You didn't think I sounded too perky and obnoxious?"

"Not at all! Customers would rather have a server that's all smiles rather than a grumpy old fart like Hank in the back."

"I heard that, woman!" Missy's husband yelled out from the kitchen.

"Then take notes, Hank!" Missy hollered back. She shook her head and jabbed her thumb over her shoulder. "And that's what being married for thirty years looks like."

Faith laughed as she sprayed and wiped down the bar top. "I'm glad I have that to look forward to in the future."

"And speaking of being in love…"

The older woman nodded her head towards the front door, making Faith follow her direction. Her heart began to flutter like a butterfly when Isaac unexpectedly entered the diner. Their eyes found each other in an instant and they smiled shyly and waved at each other. Isaac coming to visit Faith at work wasn't a rare occurrence as he did it often, as was her going over to the graveyard for him. Nevertheless, it never failed to make Faith feel special. Like she actually meant something to him.

Unfortunately for her pride, other people were quick to notice her infatuation for Isaac. Including Missy, who was grinning like the Cheshire Cat when she looked at the girl. "Oh, honey, you got it bad."

"Shh!" Faith hissed, "He'll hear you!" Taking a deep breath, she smoothed out her work attire and checked to see if her updo was still intact. "Alright, just play it cool. Act natural."

"Are you telling that to me or to yourself?" Missy asked.

"Both?" Then Isaac was suddenly standing in front of the on the other side of the counter so Faith was forced to act like a well-collected teenager. "Hey! I thought you had work tonight."

"I do, but not for another couple hours," Isaac explained, "And I knew you have your dinner break around this time so I figured we could eat together." He held up a plastic bag that his best friend just now noticed. "I got you carne asada fries."

Already Faith could feel herself salivating, which would have been awkward if she wasn't so freaking hungry. "Oh my god, I love you." She reached for the bag but Isaac pulled it away from her, making her groan.

"Slow your roll there, tiger," he laughed, "Only when your boss says it's okay."

With that being said, the raven-haired girl turned to Missy and beamed at her. "Please?"

"Oh, you know I can't say no to you, girly," Missy laughed, patting Faith's shoulder, "Just go take that table that just came in's drink order and then you can go clock out for dinner."

"This is why you're the best boss ever." After Missy winked at her and walked away, Faith pulled out her pen and notepad. She turned to Isaac. "Just give me a few minutes. And don't steal any of my fries."

"So greedy," Isaac chuckled.

Faith stepped out from behind the counter and almost audibly groaned when she saw the booth Missy wanted her to cover. Sitting down was a bunch of lacrosse jocks from school including Jackson Whittemore and Greenberg. This was the last thing Faith wanted to deal with tonight. Aside from Danny Mahealani, who she knew from music class, these guys were known to be the douchebags on the team. When Faith first arrived at Beacon Hills just six months ago, they were the ones to give her the hardest time about being the geeky new kid, Jackson being the meanest of them all. He was the one to make Faith cry by saying that for a loser, she sure had a 'nice rack'. It was truly humiliating.

But in a weird way, she was grateful to have suffered a horrendous first day by him. If it weren't for Jackson's teasing, she probably never would have met Isaac, who was a treasure in this godforsaken place.

The lacrosse players were already getting rowdy, flinging salt and pepper packets at each other and ripping out napkins from the dispenser despite the fact that there was literally no food on the table. It might have been around eighty-five degrees on this summer night, but Faith was already cursing herself for choosing to wear her v-neck and shorts to work. She wasn't one to use her sexuality for her personal gain (she'd actually have to be not awkward for it to work), but maybe Faith's choice in uniform with leave Jackson feeling generous and give a big fat tip. Coming from his father's wallet, of course.

Deciding to just get this shit over with, she took a deep breath, threw on her fakest smile, teeth and all, and strode over to the booth.

"Hello, gentlemen, welcome to Sam's Diner," she greeted, "My name is Faith and I'll be taking care of you tonight. Can I get you started with something to drink?"

"Well, I think you certainly can help us," Greenberg smirked while eyeing Faith up and down. And so it begins. "I hope you're on the menu tonight."

Refraining to roll her eyes, Faith just shrugged. "Sorry. It's not a specials night."

"Could've fooled me," Jackson scoffed, "And have you ever heard of a spray tan? Maybe you can invest in one with the money you get from working at this dump."

Do not break your pen, Faith. Be the bigger person.

"I'll keep that in mind when I receive my next paycheck," Faith smiled. She clicked her pen. "So, drinks?"

"Coffees all around." Jackson answered for the group, not looking in her direction anymore. So much for the tip.

"And don't skimp out on the sugar, sugar," another guy laughed, making everyone else besides Danny cackle along like a bunch of dumb hyenas.

"Sure thing," Faith said, "I'll be right back with those."

She didn't even bother to stick around for Jackson or Greenberg or anyone else's comments and found her way back to behind the bar top. Isaac watched in amusement as his best friend started brewing up a fresh pot of coffee before clocking out for dinner on the computer, grumbling to herself at how stupid his teammates were.

"You okay there, Faith?" Isaac asked.

"Living the dream," the girl answered begrudgingly, "I don't understand how the hell you can deal with those clowns on a daily basis."

Isaac shrugged. "Simple. Just not be good enough at lacrosse so your ass stays on the bench the entire time." That got Faith to break out a small smile, making the blond boy do the same. "Don't pay them any attention. They're just a bunch of Neanderthals that like to prey on the opposite sex."

"How charming," Faith said sarcastically, "Thank god you're not like them."

"What, popular and good looking with a sports car?" Isaac smirked, "And don't forget the hundreds of girls that flock over to them."

"You want hundreds of girls flocking over to you?" Faith asked, jealousy from the idea of Isaac having anyone else at his feet stinging in her chest just a bit.

He shook his head. "Well, no, not exactly. But it wouldn't hurt to have a car instead of a bike. Plus it would be nice to not be known as the loser who digs up graves for a living. It's not exactly a winning trait among the people. Sometimes I still wonder why the hell you hang around me."

"Well, I'm not a shallow individual that gives into societal norms. And us losers gotta stick together."

"Hey, don't call yourself that. You could probably get in with Jackson and them if you really wanted to."

"And why would I do that?"

"Because I'm sure you'd rather be with them than little old me. If anything, I'm the one that's dragging you down."

God, Faith hated when Isaac talked down on himself like this. He always tried to say these things in a joking tone to make her think that he was kidding around, but Faith could read him like a book. There was always that hunch to Isaac's shoulders or the corners of his mouth would start to dim. It might have stemmed from the abuse he endured from his father on a daily basis, which Faith had first suspected when Isaac showed up to school one day during freshman year with a black eye and torn up fingernails. He denied his best friend's accusations until later that night when he called her, voice broken, asking if he could come over. Only when he showed up to Faith's house with a busted lip did Isaac confess what his relationship with his father was really like. The night ended with the two laying in her bed, Faith holding Isaac close as he cried himself to sleep.

Before she found out the truth, he wasn't willing to share his feelings as easily and did his best to hide his insecurities with his sarcastic nature. Now he was more open, which made Faith feel important yet heartbroken whenever Isaac talked badly about himself.

Making sure to look him dead in the eye, Faith rested her elbows on the counter. "Now what the hell do I need people like that for when I am perfectly happy with having you? Popularity comes and goes, but we're stuck with each other till the end of time."

A more genuine smile graced Isaac's beautiful face, making Faith return the gesture. The moment between the two would have been a lot sweeter if the annoying sound of Jackson snapping his fingers hadn't ruined it.

"Um, hello?" he emphasized, "Once you two are done making 'fuck me' eyes at each other, I would like my coffee now, please."

"It still has two minutes to finish brewing," Faith told him, "then my boss will bring it out to you."

That still seemed to be unacceptable for the rich jock. "Then can you bring us water or soda or something while we're waiting? I'm thirsty."

"She's actually already on her dinner break-"

"Was I talking to you, Lahey?" Jackson spat out, making Isaac turn away in embarrassment, "Listen, sweetheart, the customer always comes first. I'm the one who's paying you to serve me. So be a good girl and get us our drinks. Now."

At first, Faith was about ready to lash out at Jackson not only for his snarky attitude, but for yelling at Isaac. But then she looked down at the soda cans in the refrigerator behind her, a sly expression sneaking on her face. She gave the table full of athletes an innocent smile.

"Sure. Coming right up."

Faith took out five cans of soda as the coffee filled up the pot. As she concocted her little scheme, Isaac watched her work, both terrified and impressed at what she was doing. He just hoped that Faith wouldn't get fired for this, but that was obviously the last thing on his best friend's mind. Just a few minutes later, she had a tray full of coffee, soda, and water resting on her arm (where she gained all the strength from, Isaac had no idea) and was making her way to the jocks' booth. Faith set the tray down and started placing the drinks on the table.

"Here you go, gentlemen," she said sweetly, "Our soda machine's broken so I hope you don't mind the cans. And don't worry about paying for them. Everything's on me tonight."

"Well, aren't you a doll," Jackson said in a snarky tone.

"You forgot the sugar," Greenberg pointed out, eyeing Faith like the creep he was.

But her smile never faltered. "My apologies." She turned to Isaac and he handed her the sugar dispenser. She set it down. "Here's your sugar. Enjoy your drinks, boys."

Neither of them thanked Faith and dove in for their drinks. Whatever. Faith stepped back to where Isaac sat and enjoyed the show in front of them.

"If you manage to pull this off without getting in trouble with Missy," Isaac whispered, "you'll be my new hero."

"Just you wait, my friend," Faith said, crossing her arms.

They both watched as the jocks either grabbed a soda or a coffee, Danny being the only one going for a water. Which was a smart move on his end. Faith had her eye specifically on Jackson as he poured a heaping amount of sugar into his coffee. Then he raised the cup up to his mouth. A split second after taking a drink, Jackson spat out the coffee right in Greenberg's face. Coincidentally, the boys who had grabbed a soda had already opened their cans just to have liquid spraying all over them. All of the boys minus Danny let out angry shouts, catching the attention of everyone else in the diner.

"What the fuck?!" Jackson cried out, "Why the fuck does this taste like ocean water?!"

"Oh, did I accidentally swap out the sugar for salt again?" Faith sighed, shaking her head, "Silly me. I can be such a ditz sometimes."

Jackson became red in the face. "This isn't funny, you bitch. You are so not getting a tip."

"I think I'll live," Faith said. She stepped up to Jackson and leaned forward, hands on her knees. "Actually, I do have a tip for you. Next time, don't fuck with people who handle your food."

Leaving the douchebag completely dumbfounded, Faith straightened up to head back to the counter, but not before high-fiving Danny's held out hand. There was a newfound pep in her step when she went over to Isaac and she even bounced as she sat down next to him. Faith let out an exaggerated sigh as she opened up her box of carne asada fries.

"Finally," she said before popping a couple of fries into her mouth. When she looked over to Isaac to strike up a conversation with him, the last thing she expected to see was Isaac just staring at her in awe. The corner of his mouth was turned up into that lopsided smile that Faith was absolutely crazy for. She chuckled nervously. "What?"

"Yeah, you're definitely the cool one," Isaac told her.

There was no verbal response from Faith, but the way she beamed like the brightest light was all the response Isaac needed.

In what felt like a blink of an eye, Faith was parked in front of the women's clinic. She knew she didn't have to go through the trouble of going out of town to get this procedure done, but not many teenagers in Beacon Hills are going around getting abortions. People would surely talk if they saw Faith at the local clinic, not mattering if she was a nobody or not. So, the danky one twenty minutes outside of town would suffice. Although the pathetic group of pro-lifers standing outside of the building holding up poorly made signs and chanting about how miserable they are so now everyone else has to be too did nothing to loosen up the tension in Faith's chest.

Sitting in the truck and dragging out the wait wasn't helping much either, so Faith decided to just rip off the emotional band aid and get this shit over with. She got out of her truck and started her short yet grueling journey to the building. To make this experience even more jarring, Faith had to walk by the protesters, screaming names at her like 'slut', 'sinner', 'hussy', or her personal favorite, 'baby killer'. You know, appropriate things to call an already frightened teenage girl. As much as she wanted to yell back at them to get a job or something, the last thing that she wanted to do was make this even harder than it already was. Faith decided to be the better person and pull her hood over her head as she marched to the building.

It shouldn't have came as a surprise to see that the inside of the clinic was just as drab as the outside. Faith knew that not all women's clinics were like this. Actually, according to their website, the one in Beacon Hills was bougie as fuck considering that it was in, well, Beacon Hills. Making only ten bucks an hour including stingy tips at an old diner could only get you so far in life, so this had to do. Faith made a beeline to the front desk where a woman in her forties she assumed was sitting, headphones over her ears. Whatever was on her computer must have been very enticing because she failed to notice Faith come up to her.

"Excuse me?" Faith said. The receptionist didn't respond. Faith waved her hand but still nothing. Like a child with a fishbowl, the girl tapped on the plexiglass separating them two. "Hello."

You would have thought Faith had smashed the receptionist's picture of her two children that was sitting on her desk with the way she glared at the teenager. With a roll of her eyes that was way too hasty, the receptionist pulled off her headphones and looked up at Faith.

"You have an appointment today?" she asked.

"Yeah," Faith answered, "I'm here for the… you know…" She made a cutting motion with her fingers.

Damn, if looks could kill. "Name?"

"Faith McGregor."

The receptionist began to type something into the computer while Faith just watched on, whistling lowly to distract herself from becoming a nervous wreck. All that did was just annoy the woman behind the desk. With just one sharp glare, Faith shut up mid-whistle and let her eyes shift up to the ceiling instead.

"Okay, Miss McGregor," the receptionist finally says after a few moments of typing and clicking, "I'll have you fill out this form front to back and then just bring it back up here when you're finished." She pushed forward a clipboard and pen towards Faith.

Along with a fucking condom.

"Uh…" Faith pinched it between two fingers and held it up. "I don't think I need this right now."

"Unless you plan on coming back here anytime soon, I'd suggest you take it," the receptionist advised, "Besides, it's company policy to hand out free condoms to teenagers. You know, to ensure you practice safe sex. Looks like you never got the memo though." She eyed Faith's flat stomach.

Yeah, she couldn't argue with that. "Touché." Shoving the condom into her back pocket, Faith took the clipboard and went to find a seat in the waiting room.

The questions on the form seemed pretty simple enough. Right from her full name down to if there were any types of medication she was currently taking. Prozac and birth control, in case anyone was wondering. Obviously, the latter had proven to be a dud. But that was besides the point. Faith was able to answer each question fairly easily, otherwise she would have had to contact Drew for any information. And let's just say that she wasn't in the mood to explain to him why she needed to know if there were any heart conditions that ran in the McGregor family tree.

"First time?"

Faith is startled by the voice that made itself known next to her out of nowhere. That voice belonged to a young woman that couldn't be much older than her. Her eyes didn't mean to fall down to the woman's stomach, but they did. And holy shit, that woman was pregnant with a capital P. Does having a baby really make your boobs that big?

"Yeah," Faith quickly said before she could come off as a pervert.

"I can tell," the woman chuckled, "You look like you're about to piss yourself. Don't be nervous, kid. Yeah, it hurts more than it doesn't, I'm not gonna lie. But it's a quick process. It'll be over before you know it."

"Good to hear," Faith nodded. Her head lowered so she could finish filling out her forms.

However, her new companion was just getting started. "You know, I remember the first time I came in here when I was sixteen. Seems like it was just yesterday that I was in your shoes. One of the scariest times of my life."

"You're telling me," Faith replied nonchalantly. Something suddenly clicked in her brain and her head snapped up. "Wait, you said the first time?"

"Mhm. I had it done three more times after that. I was young and reckless and got involved with some pretty shitty men. That was no world to bring a kid into. My dumb ass never wanted to use protection either so I just kept coming back here. Not one of my finest moments, but you live and you learn."

"I guess. So what changed your mind about keeping this one?"

"Easy," the woman shrugged, "I fell in love with the baby's father, who just so happened to be my best friend. He and I haven't been married for long but we both agreed that we wanted to bring a child into this world together. Pregnancy can be hard and even terrifying, but he's been by my side through it all. For that, I'm forever lucky. I couldn't have asked for anyone better to raise a family with."

With an encouraging smile, she went back to her magazine on home gardening. Meanwhile Faith was left gobsmacked. And even conflicted.

Oh, god, was she actually second guessing herself? Not that it was completely out of character for her since self-doubt was her natural state of being, but still! Is she making a mistake by going through with this abortion? No, she wasn't. She couldn't be. She was a teenager, for God's sake! One with dreams and ambitions. Having a child was only going to hinder that. It was what she had been telling herself from the very beginning. Only an absolute crazy person would be daring enough to actually go through with this pregnancy at such a young age. So she had to stick to her original plan.

What if…

Faith decided that now was a good time to look around her. Not every woman in the clinic seemed to be here for the same reason as her. There were other women who were pregnant as well, much farther along than her. But they looked to be… happy. Excited, even, to be receiving the gift of a new life. Proud to call themselves future mothers. Granted, they weren't in high school like Faith, but did that even really matter? One woman even had a child with her already. A little boy, approximately four or five years old. He was well behaved, which Faith found fascinating since she never really associated small children with manners. But he did sound giddy, bouncing in his too big chair as he touched his loving mother's growing belly and babbling on about all the fun things they'll do once his baby brother finally arrives. It was quite cute, making Faith crack a tiny smile.

A picture hung on the wall featuring a small family. Obviously it was one of those over the top photoshoots that you take in your local mall with the fake sky backdrop and everyone wearing matching white sweaters. Cheesy as hell, but it was doing its job in making Faith wonder if it really would be so bad to have a small family of her own. With Isaac of all people, the boy she's had an ever growing affection for over the past two years. The boy who was so eager to create a family as well despite his age. Would he find the picture absolutely ridiculous or would he be delighted to stand in front of the camera with Faith and their son or daughter? Knowing Isaac, probably a little bit of both. Just as long as the hole in his heart was finally resealed with what he was once deprived of.

And here Faith was, depriving him of that opportunity again. What the fuck was she doing?

"Faith McGregor?"

All eyes were on said girl, waiting for her to follow the doctor that called her name to follow her. Follow her to the back of the clinic to remove what could turn out to be a blessing in disguise. What she needed to do was clear, and it involved running like a bat out of hell.

So that's exactly what she did.

"Ma'am? Ma'am!"

Isaac's thumb scrolled up through his photo albums on his phone. There wasn't many pictures to go through. He wasn't one for having his picture taken, even before his glowing eyes ruined every shot of him. But there still was some, a good ninety percent of them featuring Faith back when they were friends. Most with the both of them, even quite a few candid ones Isaac had taken of her without her knowledge. In every single photo he was in with Faith, the pure joy and happiness displayed in his eyes and smile was something Isaac never thought he was capable of expressing, even during the darkest of times of suffering from the hands of his father.

What had to have been his favorite was from the day Drew had taken him and Faith down to Santa Monica for the day sometime in the summer before sophomore year. It was the first time Isaac had ever been outside of Beacon Hills, let alone stepped foot on the beach. Hot as hell, but hands down on of the best days of his life. It had been a long day filled with tons of food, sand in every crevice of his body, and resulting in sunburnt cheeks and nose. Isaac couldn't have asked for anything better and it showed in the picture of them in the ocean with Faith on his back, arms wrapped around his neck as he kept her up with his hands on her thighs. Both of them were grinning from ear to ear, happy to be there together and enjoying each moment as much as they could before having to go back to the reality that was Beacon Hills.

How Isaac would give everything to feel that happiness once again…

Now he never will. Finding out that Faith was pregnant with his baby had given him that slight naive hope that maybe, just maybe, the chance of having a family was the missing piece to heal his cooling heart. That chance and hope were both gone along with his child after today. As much as he wanted to be understanding and supportive of Faith's reasoning behind her decision, he just wished that he begged a little harder for her to change her mind. Surely they could have worked something out. Hell, Isaac was even willing to raise the baby by himself if Faith really didn't want to keep it. But he couldn't be selfish and ask her to go through the pregnancy for him. She owed him nothing.

So here lied Isaac on his bed as he stared longingly at his old friend's beautiful smile on his phone. Wishing that for just once in his life, something, absolutely anything, could finally go his way. Was that so fucking unreasonable of him to ask for?

Interrupting his pity party, Chris knocked on Isaac's door to signal his entrance. Just one look at the man had Isaac remembering that he wasn't the only one who was going through shit. Chris had aged quite a bit within the past two months since Allison died. There were bags under his eyes and you could see grey hairs peeking through his facial hair. He kept on a permanent brave face for Isaac's sake as his unofficial guardian, and not once had the beta caught him shed any tears, but he was familiar what depression looked like. Isaac was the damn poster child of it. Neither of them had any family left, so each other was all they had. Was it enough? Not really. But it had to be for the time being.

Chris nodded his head towards the living room of the apartment. "You have a visitor waiting for you outside. I asked if she wanted to come in but she said to just tell you that she would wait for you. I think her name's Faith?"

Isaac was now sitting up, fully alert and chest aching in anticipation. "Really? Uh, okay. I'll be right there. Thank you."

Choosing not to answer verbally, Chris simply nodded then went off to his room, probably to map out where Kate could be hiding. Isaac got up from his bed and left his room to face the other girl who broke his heart. Like Chris said, Faith was standing in the hallway of the apartment complex, looking as nervous as ever with her hands shoved into the pocket of her hoodie.

"Hey," Isaac said, closing the door behind him so Chris wouldn't overhear the conversation they were about to have.

"Hi," Faith greeted back, "Sorry, I swung by the lacrosse practice right now and asked Scott if he knew where you lived."

"No, it's okay," Isaac assured her. He looked down at his feet, not feeling ready to look Faith in the eyes just yet. "So, uh…. How did your appointment go-"

"I couldn't do it."

All of the wind had knocked out of Isaac from those four words alone. His eyes were wide when his head snapped up. "What do you mean? You didn't get the abortion?"

Faith shook her head. "No. I got to the clinic with this clear plan in my head to get the abortion but then there were these Karens marching in front of the building, a pregnant woman that's had four abortions already, and a receptionist who was giving me the stink eye that came with a free condom." She pulled the mentioned object from her back pocket and handed it to Isaac. "You might wanna hold on to that, just in case."

"Uh…" Isaac looked back and forth between Faith and the condom. "Okay, now you kinda lost me."

"Look, I've been thinking about everything that you said. You know, about family and such. While this isn't the most conventional way to go about it, I want you to have your family back. But this time, I want you to have the family you deserve. One that's based off of loyalty, trust, and above all, love. And I know you can give all those things to our baby."

'Our baby'. God damn… it felt just as weird to hear it as it was to say it.

"Wait, what about New York?" Isaac asked, "I won't make you stay for me if you don't want to. I don't want you to end up regretting anything because of me."

"We'll figure that out when the time comes," Faith told him, "But this is now. And right now… I wanna have this baby with you." She smiled softly. "You were right, Isaac. If I were to do this with anyone, I would want it to be with my best friend. We can do it together."

"And I promise you, Faith, I will be there by your side throughout the entire thing. Every doctors appointment, painting the nursery, and even those awkward parenting classes where they have you change a fake baby's diapers, everything. You can count on me to be there for our son or daughter."

"I know you will… I trust you."

This was so unreal. Was this what it was like when people say they are on cloud nine? Because Isaac might as well be walking on air. He let out a laugh. "Oh my god, we're actually gonna be parents. We're fucking crazy, aren't we?"

"Kinda," Faith chuckled along, "but we wouldn't be us if we weren't."

Isaac couldn't contain his excitement any longer. The warmth growing within him was so foreign that it almost psyched him out. But nothing could ruin this for him. Without a second thought, he pulled Faith into him and wrapped his arms around around her shoulder's, one hand cupping the back of her head. The motion took Faith by surprise, but Isaac's soothing scent of his cologne and the strength of his body had her melting into him.

"Thank you," Isaac mumbled into her soft black hair, allowing a single tear to drop, "Thank you."

Faith didn't say anything. She just slid her arms around his torso and allowed the faintest of smiles to gradually make its way on her face.
