Underwater of the river beneath the Brooklyn Bridge, Donnie and Mary, both having some sort of night vision goggles on, were swimming side-by-side towards the surface while holding their breaths.
"My name is Marietta, and right now I'm learning just how long me and Donnie can hold our breaths."
The turtles in purple and turquoise then broke the surface, gasping for breath and spitting salt water out of their mouths. The turtles then swam to the docks, climbed up onto one and quickly moved into the shadows. Once there, Donnie and Mary zoomed their goggles in at the opposite dock, where they saw some weird-looking cannon shooting a beam of a blue-white energy waves into the river, creating a large whirlpool in the water.
"See that weird-looking cannon over there? That device is seriously messing up the East River. And if this keeps up, the the dock under of the cannon will crumble..."
Mary zooms closer in and notices that the dock beneath the cannon was starting to crumble threateningly due to the violent vibration.
"...the cannon and its destructive energy beam may escape from control and the whole South Street Seaport could go crumbling into the water."
Donnie and Mary keep observing the cannon from their dock from the shadows.
"Donnie would be fascinated by this technology for sure, but there's only one problem why he can't right now. That problem is..."
A four shadows suddenly appear in front of them, causing the turtles to turn around and look up to see whose shadows they were. Seeing them, the turtles gasped in surprise.
"...that there happens to be some not-so-legal things going on here that don't want both snoopers or witnesses."
The turtles realized that the shadows belonged to the four ninjas standing on top of the building. Worst, they were the same ninjas, or at least the other ones in similar ninja suits like the ones they had encountered in that alley about a month ago.
"And now, both me and Donnie are gonna have a demonstration of the gruesome fate of unwanted snoopers and witnesses."
The ninjas stare down at the turtles with the swords and Naginatas in hands. Then the two leapt down to attack the turtles!
(The screen pulls away from New York City with couple spot lights waving above of it. Then a four green letters forming the word TMNT towers over the city.)
"TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES"
(The screen rises to the edge of the roof, on which was standing eight green shadowy humanoid creatures with the turtle-like features. Two of them were crouching down and all of them had by colors individual ninja masks; One had blue, second one had turquoise, third one red, fourth one white, fifth one pink, sixth one black, seventh purple and the last one orange. As the spot lights passes them, all eight turtles then leap off the edge of the roof.)
"TURTLES COUNT IT OFF"
(The screen then splits from right to left into four narrow screens.)
"ONE, TWO"

"MUTANT CHAIN REACTION"
(TURTLES!)
(Donatello is seen driving a speedy vehicle down the sewer tunnel, before the turtle in purple turns to smirk to the camera and holds a thumb up.)
"LIVIN' UNDERGROUND"
(TURTLES!)
(Raphael is seen making couple of flips; one over the fence and one towards the screen, before he delivers the kick at the screen, blackening it for a second.)
"NINJUTSU ACTION"
(TURTLES!)
(Widely grinning Michalengelo is seen standing on top of the large green armored car that's speeding along the street, while spinning his Nucnhacku wildly in the air.)
"IT'S A SHELL OF THE TOWN!"
(As the turtle in orange leaps off, the armored car flies in arc over the street before landing back to the ground. Then its back doors open up and two of the turtles, Raphael and the turtle in black, rocket out of the car in the backs of red and avocado green bikes before skidding them sideways to a stop.)
(In the alleyway, next to the blue armored car, the eight turtles crouch down before leaping to attack towards the camera, with the turtle in orange taking the lead and kicks the screen with his foot.)
"TURTLES COUNT IT OFF"
(The screen splits into two horizontal screen: the upper screen shows a blue-masked face with into a glare narrowed eyes while lower shows eight turtles standing in line in front of the gray-furred humanoid rat dressed in the brown robe, Master Splinter by name.)

(In the fourth one, the lower screen shows a orange-masked face with the soft stare, while the upper one shows Hun sneering at the camera, before he throws a punch towards the screen.)
("TWO!")
"NEVER FIGHT UNLESS SOMEONE ELSE STARTS"
(A red-haired young woman, named April O'Neil, is then seen winking at the camera from the cockpit of the helicopter with the rope hanging from its undercarriage, which she flies past of the blue tower with the Japanese palace on top of it. On top of it, two turtles, Donatello and the turtle in white are seeing battling six ninjas on the edge, until they're knocked off the building. Falling down, the turtle in white grabs from the helicopter's rope with one hand and grabs with his free one from Donnie's hand, cutting his falling, and they're both lifted up in the air.)
("THREE!")
"ALWAYS STICK TOGETHER NO MATTER WHAT"
(In the dark alley, the eight turtles are standing shell to shell in middle of the bright spotlight, while they're surrounded by the dozens and dozens of in the darkness standing and armed ninjas that keep coming from the darkness and rooftops above of the alley. The turtles fearlessly demonstrate their weapon skills with their weapons before taking their respective battle stances.)
("FOUR!")
"IF ALL ELSE FAILS, THEN IT'S TIME TO KICK BUTT!"
(Screen rises up to the tall buildings.)
(Michelangelo jumps from the right, making the flip in the air while spinning his Nunchucks wildly. At the same time from the left jumps the female turtle in pink with her legs bent under, while spinning around and swinging her sharp Tessens around.)
(Then Donatello jumps from the left, spinning his Bo-staff with his left hand while swinging it over his head before grabbing it with both hands and bringing it down hard. At the same time, the female turtle in turquoise jumps from the right, spinning her Naginata in her right hand, before spinning around and sending a horizontal slash with her weapon's blade forward.)
(Leonardo then jumps from the left with his Katanas crossed, before he pulls them to the sides as he delivers the kick forward with his foot. At the same time, the turtle in white jumps from the left, spinning his Tonfas in his hands before thrusting his right Tonfa forward like a stabbing movement.)
(Raphael then jumps from the left and crossed his arms in front of him before pulling them back, making his Sais to flash. Right after him, the turtle in black jumps from the right, holding his left Butterfly sword in front of him and his right Butterfly sword over his head, before swinging them forward to slash with them the air in front of him.)
(Then a 14-year-old girl with purple-dyed hair styled in pigtails, and dressed in a sleeveless, teal hoodie and red baggy jeans jumps from the left after the turtle in black and throws the punch towards the screen with her left fist. Then a tall blue-haired and -eyed man with the hockey mask on his face, named Casey Jones, jumps from the right and whacks the screen with his hockey stick.)
(Leo, with swords in hands, is then seen landing onto one ninja's back, knocking him down.)
(Donnie is then seen whacking another ninja off his feet and out with his Bo.)
(Raph is then seen blocking the third ninja's kick with his left arm while holding his Sai in his fist.)
(Mikey is then seen punching fourth in the face with his right fist while holding a Nunchuck.)
(Turtle in turquoise is then seen kicking the fifth in the chest while holding her Naginata up.)
(Turtle in white is then seen back-handing the sixth with his left hand's Tonfa)
(Turtle in black is then seen blocking seventh's sword with his left hand's sword while thrusting his right towards the ninja as if to stab him in the chest)
(Turtle in pink is then seen with her arms crossed in front of her white holding her opened pink Tessens in her hands.)
(Raph is then seen again, this time surrounded by several ninjas, until he spins himself around with his hands clenched into fist around of his Sais' hilts spread out, knocking all ninjas away from him.)
(Cut to the wide shot, where seven silhouetted turtles are seen jumping and flipping along the rooftops, water towers and chimneys, as the camera follows them. One of the turtles swings over them by the chain with one hand like Tarzan. Then two narrower screens appear to above and beneath of the rooftop screen, showing the repeating line of turtles in blue's and purple's masked faces above and the line of turtles in red and orange's masked faces beneath, moving to the opposite direction.)
"I LOVE BEING' A..."
"I LOVE BEING' A..."
"I LOVE BEING' A TURTLE!"
(The turtles then land to the ground in front of the building. Leonardo is in the middle, Donatello and the turtles in turquoise and white are in his right side while Michelangelo and the turtles in black and pink are in his left side. All seven then ran towards the camera that moved between of Leo's legs.)
"TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES!"
(Then, Raphael races over the building in the back of the bike and jumps off it towards and past the camera.)
"TURTLES COUNT IT OFF:"
(The screen splits into four narrow screens again, this time from left to right.)
"FIVE, SIX"
(In the first one, the female turtle in turquoise (named Marietta) is pointing her Naginata's blade at the screen. In the second one, the turtle in black (named Lorenzo) is holding his Butterfly-swords upside down in his arms, while holding the left one horizontally in front of his face and right one over his head.)
"SEVEN, EIGHT"
(In the third one, the turtle in white (named Domenico) is holding his Tonga-holding arms crossed over his chest. "AT NIGHTFALL, WE'RE COMING"
(TURTLES!)
(Lorenzo is seen riding on top of the subway car, with his Butterfly swords sunk to its roof. And as he approaches the camera, the turtle in black jumps forward towards the camera and kicks the screen into black.)
"OUT OF MANHOLE"
(TURTLES!)
(Domenico is then seen stabbing with his left and then right Tonfa at one practice dummy in his right to the head, knocking it back. Then he turns around and spin-kicks the other dummy in his left in the head with his right foot. Then the turns around and whack the camera with his left Tonfa.)
"BEWARE, THE BADDIES!"
(TURTLES!)
(The screen pulls back, showing Artemisia skating with the pair of pink roller skates along the rooftop as she is being by the dozen ninjas with the swords. Four more ninjas appear from the sides of the screen, chasing after the skating turtle in pink. Arcee peeks over her left shoulder at them, smirks and then picks up the pace, skating into the camera.)
"MUTANTS NINJAS ARE ON THE MOVE!"
(Arcee then skates towards a pretty large ninja with the sword held up and ready to strike (with her pursuers' running feet showing in the sides of the screen). However, as the large ninja tries to strike at the turtle in pink horizontally, she grabs from both of his wrists, spins around and throws him over her shoulder at her pursuers. The ninja flies towards the camera face-first.)
(Arcee then turns around and somersaults over the edge of the building. The screen then moves down in front of with the wooden boards boarded doorway, before the same green armored truck - with Domenico in the driver's seat and Marietta in the passenger's seat - smashes through it, allowing the turtle in pink to land onto its roof.)
(Screen then turns to the back-doors of the truck as it is chased by two ninjas on motorbikes, until the back-doors of the truck slam open and Lorenzo jumps out with the barrel-roll, landing on his shell to the street, somersaulting back to his feet and then lunging at the ninjas, knocking them both off the bikes as he flies face-first at the camera.)
"TURTLES COUNT IT OFF"
(The screen splits into two horizontal screens again: the upper screen shows a turquoise-masked face with lightly frowned glare, while lower screen shows Arcee, Leo and Mary in the snowy woods, staring at the five silhouetted canine-like humanoid beings with various colored face-paints (silver, dark blue, light purple, red and dark purple) standing in line. They all hit their fists with their fist before bowing.)
(In the next one, lower screen shows a white-masked face with deep frown while upper shows the silhouetted canine-like humanoid with the light blue face-paint wielding a single Kama in its right had while fighting two hunter-looking men with the hunting rifles: It kicks the one behind of its back in the chest with its left foot, then elbows the second one in the face with its right elbow. It then turns to and snarls at the camera before slicing it half with its Kama.)
("FIVE!")
"WE'LL ALWAYS FIGHT AGAINST THE EVIL!"
(In the third one, upper screen shows a black-masked face with the wide eyes, while the lower shows Lorenzo and the same purple-haired and ponytailed teenager human girl standing back to shell-back in middle of the ring of the silhouetted enemies.)
(In the fourth one, the lower screen shows a pink-masked face with the soft stare, while the upper one shows Louie and purple-haired girl turning to each other and taking each other from hands, before the turtle in black swings the girl around him in the air. As the turtle swings the girl towards the camera, the girl kicks the screen with her foot.)
("SIX!")
"WE COME, STRIKE HARD, AND VANISH INTO NIGHT"
(A next shot shows two buildings standing next to each other, until Donatello and Marietta appear from the left side of the screen and jump over the gap between the buildings (with Marietta pole-vaulting over the gap with her Naginata). Then four turtles, led by Leonardo, followed by Raphael and Artemisia and lastly Domenico, are seen rushing forward along the streets, weapons in hands. Michelangelo and Lorenzo are then seen following them right behind: the former by zipping along the rope with his Nunchaku and the latter by swinging by the chain while spinning the other one wildly around with his free hand.
("SEVEN!")
"AS A TEAM, WE'LL ALWAYS HAVE EACH OTHER'S SHELLS."
(In the next shot, we see all eight turtles standing under the light in the darkness, with their backs turned to the camera as it pulls away from them. As they all turn around to the camera, they draw out their weapons and take their individual battle-stances, ready to face whoever is standing in front of them.)
("EIGHT!")
"AND WE'LL NEVER LEAVE OUR BUDDIES BEHIND!"
(Out of darkness appears Baxter Stockman, glaring menacingly at the camera while being surrounded by the dozens of menacing-looking Mousers. Stockman points at the camera with his finger and the Mousers lunge forward.)
(Camera moves to the right, showing a large pale-skinned, bald-headed and broad-shouldered man in the black ninja-garb, with the left side of his face viciously scarred. Backed up by the group of ninjas behind him, the scarred man draws out a sword from his X-shaped scabbard in his back and raises it with both hands up and next to the scarred side of his faces, pointing its tip at the camera while glaring himself darkly at the camera.)
(Camera moves to the right again, this time showing a strange female creature with the pale skin, red eyes, long elf-like pointy ears, slightly hooked nose and the long-black hair, and who was dressed in a complete black tunic, pants and slippers, including a long black elf-hat like hat. With the mischievous grin on his face, the creature waved its hands over, followed by the flow of glowing various-colored stars in her left hand and the various-colored lightning in her right hand, as if it was the magic.)
(Camera moved to the right once more, this time showing a mobster-like barrel-chested man with the thick eyebrows, mustache, double chin and tidy haircut. He was dressed in the blue shirt and a red black-spotted cravat, over which he wore a mafia-like olive green suit with the golden stripes. He had a same-stylish pants and the shiny black-tipped brown shoes. He wore on his head a grayish-brown fedora hat and he had in his mouth a cigar. Backed up by several tough-looking guys in the mafia-like suits and fedora-hats - all armed with various guns or melee weapons - the man took the cigar out of his mouth and, with the nasty sneer, he pointed with his finger forward.)
(The screen turns back to the turtles, showing Donatello whacking several Mousers away with his staff while Raphael lands on one, crushing it, while stabbing his Sais through of two other Mousers.)
(Domenico then moves to stab with his left Tonfa in the ninja's guts, before he turns around and whacks with his right one in the second ninja's chest, knocking him away, after which Artemisia slices the next ninja's staff in half with her Tessens before spinning around and kicking him in the chest with her left foot.)
(The strange pointy-eared creature then flies over to strike them with with the magical lightnings, only for Marietta to lunge at her from the air and land a kick to her side, knocking the creature off the air.)
(Three mafia thugs then, one in the white shirt, black cravat, turquoise suit and reddish-brown fedora-hat, one in the black shirt, green cravat, the brown suit and with the golden fedora-hat and the large broad-shouldered one with the thick eyebrows, shaven face and dressed in the checkered blue-white shirt, red black-spotted bow tie, dark purple suit and dark blue bowler hat, rush towards the turtles, only for the turquoise-suited thug in the left to be snap-kicked away by Michelangelo, brown-suited thug in the right to be kicked in the guts by Lorenzo and the big thug in front to be kicked away by Leonardo, who spins around before crossing his swords in front of his face.)
(Cut to the wide three-leveled shot, where two silhouetted turtles are first seen running along the sewer pipe: One turtle is on foot while another turtle is skating along the pipe's rounded walls.)
"I LOVE BEING' A..."
(Shot moves upwards to the street level, where three silhouetted turtles are running along the streets: One is running on the foot, while other is riding on the bike and third is hopping along both the driving and parked cars' rooftops. Then two narrower screens appear to above and beneath of the rooftop screen, showing the repeating line of turtles in turquoise's and white's masked faces above and the line of turtles in black's and pink's masked faces beneath, moving to the opposite direction.)
"I LOVE BEING' A..."
(Shot moves upwards again, to the roof level, where two silhouetted turtles are either jumping or pole-vaulting along the rooftops.)
"I LOVE BEING' A TURTLE!"
(Three turtles (Raphael in the left, Leonardo in the middle and Domenico in the right) are seen running towards the camera along the streets. Then Artemisia and Michelangelo jumps out of the open manholes into the streets and join the run next to Raph and Dom. Then they're joined by Marietta and Donatello, who land down from the rooftops to Leo's both sides. All seven then ran towards the camera that moved between of Leo's legs.)
"TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES!"
(Then, Lorenzo jumps off the building towards the camera, spinning the chain wildly above his head before throwing it away and then swings by it over the camera in Spiderman-style.)
"TURTLES COUNT IT OFF:"
(A small square screen then appears from the left, showing Leonardo's shadowy yet calm-looking face. Another appears next to it from above, showing Donatello's shadowy yet determined-looking face.)
"ONE! TWO!"
(Third appears from beneath, showing Michelangelo's shadowy goofy-like face. Then the fourth appears from the right, showing Raphael's shadowy yet fierce-looking face with the gritted teeth.)
"THREE! FOUR!"
(A fifth square then screen then appears from the left, showing Marietta's shadowy yet calm-looking face. sixth then appears next to it from above, showing Domenico's shadowy yet deeply frowning face.)
"FIVE! SIX!"
(Seventh appears from beneath, showing Lorenzo's shadowy wildly hilarious-looking face. Then final eights appears from the right, showing Artemisia's shadowy yet determined-looking face with the smile.)
"SEVEN! EIGHT!"
(TURTLES!)
(All eight turtles are seen jumping down from the tall blue tower with the red Japanese palace on top of it, which towers over all the other buildings of the town. With the weapons in hands, the turtles spin in a circle (First Leonardo, then Marietta, then Raphael, then Lorenzo, then Donatello, then Domenico, then Michelangelo and finally Artemisia) as they fall towards the camera)
"THERE'S NO ONE BETTER"
(TURTLES!)
(In the ledge of the same tower, that is above of the blood-red three-toed symbol in middle of the bright light blue circle, a menacing-looking man in the full Samurai-looking armor and helmet looks down after them, as his black cape floats in the wind and the lightning flashes in the sky behind him. The camera moves closer of his helmet-covering head, before the man turns to the camera and raises his left arm with the gauntlet armed with two sharp claws.)
"WATCH OUT FOR THE SHREDDER"
(TURTLES!)
(The turtles are then seen standing in middle of the rooftop. With the weapons in hands, they briefly demonstrate their weapons-skills before taking their individual fighting poses: Donatello is seen standing in the middle, pointing his staff's end at the camera, while Raphael and Lorenzo are standing in his right, Marietta and Michelangelo are standing in his left and Domenico, Artemisia and Leonardo are standing behind of them.)
"THEY'RE LIKE NO OTHERS!"
(TURTLES!)
(The turtles are seen riding or skating on the various human equipment along the underground tunnel: Donnie was in the lead, wheeling with his purple-gray foldaway bike as he rode past the camera. Artemisia followed him afterwards on her own turquoise tuned dirt-bike, waving at the camera. She was followed by Leonardo on foldaway kick scooter with the blue board, hopping over the handlebar with his hands. He was then followed by Domenico on the white-tuned road bicycle, who made the high backward flip over the camera. After them, Raphael and Artemisia were roller skating along the wall of the tunnel with their red roller blades and pink roller-skates. Lorenzo then skated after them with his oversized green and black skateboard pair of rocket boosters and he was followed by Michelangelo, who skated along the tunnel's wall with his orange skateboard, going higher and higher along the wall before he jumped off it, landing in front of the camera with the smirk before skating away.)
"THOSE TEENAGE SIBLINGS!"
(First Donatello, then Domenico, then Leonardo, then Marietta, then Raphael, then Lorenzo, then Michelangelo, and finally Artemisia landed onto the rooftop with weapons in hands.)
"ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!"
"FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT!"
(Either spinning or waving their weapons, the turtles then charged forward towards the camera, with Leonardo taking the lead and slashing his swords forward.)
"TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES"
Then the logo of "TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES" appears, with the silhouetted figures of the eight turtles with the glowing eyes behind of it.
"TURTLES! TURTLES!"
=Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003=
=Darkness of the Edge of the Town Part 1=
A one and half week later since facing off with Nanobot.
A midnight time in the topside of New York city was peaceful - but in the sewers, not so peaceful as the turtles were enjoying their free time - with the turtle-style.
Mikey was skateboarding along the long round-shaped pipe with the rapid speed.
"He is the Alpha dog! The thrashmister! The undisputed God of the half-pipe!" Mikey said with the grin.
WHOO-HOO!" the turtle in orange cheered out as he flipped sideways around before landing back onto his skateboard.
Arcee and Raph chased the turtle in orange right behind; Raph on the pair of red roller blades and Arcee on the pair of pink roller-skates.
"Half-pipe? What do you mean with the half-pipe, bro?" Arcee questioned, as she skated as fast as she could to keep up with Raph, who was a way ahead of her.
"Who cares, sis?!" Raph dismissed. "We got the whole pipe! AH HA HA HA HAA!" he laughed.
"WHOO-HOO! YEAH! HA HAA!" Raph laughed as he rode around a full circle of the tunnel.
When Raph repeated the same daredevil move, Arcee followed her brother's suit by skating a half-circle of the tunnel, heading to the ceiling at the same time as Raph was skating back down to the bottom. After reaching to the ceiling and with Raph skating directly beneath of her, Arcee jumped off the ceiling, turned around and flipped over before landing directly onto Raph's shoulders.
Raph of course didn't mind if Arcee was sitting on his shoulders. He actually expected this to come and slightly smaller and thinner female Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtle wasn't even a heavy burden, compared to the taller and physically stronger male Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
"Cool move, Raph and Arcee! But this one is even more cooler! Guarantee it!" Louie's voice's said from behind them both.
Louie was riding on his own avokado-green and black skateboard, which was abnormally two times wider and half longer than Mikey's, making it nearly to resemble the small surfboard with the skateboard's wheels. And due to him being the action-loving daredevil, Louie had his skateboard rocket-powered with the pair of rocket boosters to give him some speed whenever he needed/wanted it.(1)
The turtle in black swiftly passed Raph and Arcee before heading towards Mikey and rode to alongside of him
""The undisputed God of the half-pipe", eh?" Louie scoffed. "Lame, bro! How about... "the Turtle that defies the laws of gravity?!"
Like Arcee did before, Louie directed his skateboard to ride a half-circle of the tunnel. But once reaching to the ceiling, the turtle in black straightened his skateboard forward and accelerated the pace by activating the boosters, rocketing himself fast forward along the tunnel's ceiling.
"BOOYAH! AH HA HA HA HA HAA!" the turtle in black laughed, while the rest of the turtles followed him right behind.
The four turtles soon reached to the end of the tunnel that led to their lair and the turtles - after Louie had come down from the tunnel's ceiling and deactivated the boosters and after Arcee had jumped off Raph's shoulders - made a hard turn to the right and entered one by one into the lair.
"WHOO-HOO!" Louie cheered as he entered into the lair first.
"WAHOO!" Mikey cheered as he entered next.
"HERE WE GO!" Arcee cried as she entered third.
"AH-ALRIGHT!" Raph laughed as he entered last into the lair.
As the four turtles entered in, Donnie, Dom, Leo and Mary came out from another tunnel
Donnie was riding on the purple-gray foldaway bike.
Dom was riding on a white-tuned road bicycle.
Leo was riding on a foldaway kick scooter with blue board.
And last but not least, Mary herself was driving the turquoise tuned Dirt-bike.
Mary was the first one to enter into the lair, followed by Donnie, then Dom and lastly Leo.
"Going for daring-a-tude!" Mary cheered as she went for the half-circle shaped ramp with her dirt-bike, which sent her flying across the lair and over Donnie's lab until her bike's tires hit the wall. Mary drove along the war for a moment before she jumped off and, with the sideways flip, landed back to the floor.
"Going for Amplitude!" Donnie cheered as he rode up an another ramp with his bike, sending him airborne. The turtle in purple spun in the air half-circle before he landed back to the ground, next to his lab.
"Going for length-a-tude!" Dom cheered as he rode to the same half-circle shaped ramp Mary had recently used with his road-cycle, that sent him flying over the pool and the bridge to the other side of the lair, during of which the turtle in white made 4-5 barrel rolls sideways before landing.
Leo then rode up the ramp next, spinning around in the air with his scooter and then skidded along Donnie's lab table with the style of skateboard.
"Going for grind-a-tude! Woo!" the turtle in blue cheered as he landed to the ground.
"Woo!" Leo whooped as he rode from behind the pillar and jumped from the edge of the upper level of the floor near the front door, Raph doing the same thing in the other side.
"YEE-HAW!" both Mary and Arcee cheered as they jumped in the air from both ends of the bridge, making the backward flip in the air before landing back to the floor.
"COWABUNGA!" Mikey cried as he jumped - and spun around - from one end of the bridge before landing onto the railing. Then the turtle in orange skidded along the railing to the other end of the bridge.
Louie skated up the ramp next to one of the pillar before the turtle in red once again activated the rocket boosters of his skateboard and was swiftly launched up along the pillar at rapid speed!
"WOHOO!" I'M GOING IN VERTICAL!" Louie cheered, before he reached to the pillar's curved top that sent him flying upside down across the air of the lair, before he grabbed from the vertical pipe with both hands and swung himself around of it for a couple-three times before letting go and allowing himself to fall back to the floor.
All eight turtles kept cheering and laughing while racing all over the lair while performing a various daredevil stunts in their own styles. And while the turtles were enjoying of their free time, Splinter emerged from the kitchen room and headed towards the lair's entertainment zone, holding a tray with teapot, two cups and several muffins.
"WHOO-HOO!" Mary cheered as she wheeled pass the kitchen room with her dirt-bike, barely missing Splinter.
"OOPS! SORRY, SENSEI!" the turtle in turquoise apologized as she kept going.
Not minding of that, Master Splinter kept heading towards the entertainment zone until Arcee and Louie, whom were playing tag-game, passed him.
"Caught ya! You're in!" Louie exclaimed as he skateboarded past Splinter from behind him while trying to quickly get out of Arcee's reach with the help of his fast-going skateboard's rocket boosters.
"Hey! No fair!" Arcee complained, attempting to keep up with Louie with her own pink roller-skates. "Sorry, Sensei. Don't mind about us." she apologized innocently while skating past of her father before she resumed chasing Louie.
Letting the matter go, Splinter resumed his walk towards the entertainment zone. And when he was just about to get there, Leo rode past him on his kick scooter. "Excuse me Sensei!" he called out as he kept going.
Trying not to let his sons' and daughters' free time's enjoyment to bother his own free moment of peace, Splinter turned around and entered the entertainment zone, putting his tray onto the table and prepared to relax himself.
Until suddenly...
"HEADS UP, SENSEI!" Donnie called as the brainy turtle in purple leaped over his head on his bike, which Splinter quickly dodged. "Uh, I MEANT... DOWN!"
Shaking his head slightly, Splinter lifted up his teapot and cup to pour tee into it, until...
"INCOMING! WHOOPS!" Dom called out as he flew over the entertainment zone in his road-bike, performing the backward flip in the process. His bike's tires nearly hit Splinter in the head hadn't he reacted in the nick of time by leaning backwards to dodge his son's bike's tire."SORRY SENSEI! DON'T MIND ABOUT US!" Dom apologized as his bike hit the floor again and the turtle in white rode away.
Splinter then finally poured some tea into his cup, until he sensed someone incoming towards him again, much to his growing annoyance. And so, Splinter leaped up into the air as Raph bladed past him and he landed to the other side of the table.
"Nice recovery, Sensei!" Raph commented as he kept going.
Splinter let out the sigh and reached down to grab a muffin, until Mikey appeared out of nowhere - and he didn't even notice him coming - and grabbed the muffin from the plate before he could take it.
"Hey thanks, Sensei!" Mikey thanked as he kept going, eating the muffin on the way.
Frowning that his sons and daughters were testing his own patience when he attempted to have some time to relax for himself, Splinter glared at them as they kept racing, flipping, flying and jumping into different directions with their sports equipment.
"EXTREME GREEN! LET'S TURTLEIZE THIS!" the turtles cheered in unison.
Splinter was almost tempted to tell the turtles to go to play outside of the Lair, so that he could have some own free and peaceful time. However, before he could say anything, Splinter silently reminded himself that he couldn't do that because otherwise that would go against his own "do not go to topside" rule.
Eventually, Splinter decided to let it be.
"Whatever." Splinter sighed, as he sat down to the armchair and took a comfortable position on it, before he took the remote and tried to turn TVs on.
However, all of a sudden, all TV screens shut down and that was followed by all the lights of the lair as the electricity went out.
The whole lair went pitch black within the seconds.
Splinter and the turtles let out the surprised and confused gasps as the sudden darkness fell upon the lair, before there was a loud crashing sound as the turtles - unable to see anything or even where they were going - crashed into each other.
"AW, SHELL! What happened?!" Mary complained, not pleased that their free time of enjoyment ended up to the bruises, blood and tears.
"Nice wiring job, Don." Mikey said sarcastically in the dark.
"I guarantee it's not my wiring, Mikey." Donnie assured with the defensive tone. "Maybe it's a blackout?"
"Maybe? Now, can somebody please get your foot off of my shell?" Mikey requested, feeling someone's leg resting on his shell.
"Is everybody alright?" Leo questioned in the dark.
"I'm good." everybody replied one by one from seven directions, two of which came from beneath of him and one from above.
"With the exception of a few bruise, I'm good... but I think that we got tangled with each other and I cannot see further of my nose to do something about it." Dom complained, feeling his limps being tangled with his siblings' limps.
"You're telling me, Dom. I cannot even move my limbs properly when they're stuck with yours, guys." Louie complained back.
"EUGH! Whose foot is near of my nose! That foot sweat is critically awful!" Arcee complained.
"Sorry, it must be mine." Mikey said innocently.
"Wash your feet sometimes for hygiene's sake! EWW! I think I'm gonna puke!" turtle in pink cried in disgust.
"Don't even dare to do that now when you don't even know where you're gonna puke!" Raph warned. "No one knows who's gonna be in the firing line!"
"Can somebody provide any form of light so that we can both see and get loose from ourselves?" Mary requested.
It didn't took long before Splinter managed to get into his hands a candle and matchstick, which he lighted up and ignited a candle, enlightening the lair a little bit but enough for the turtles - whom were all eight tangled up with each other into the messy pile of turtles in middle of the lair's floor - to see and untangle themselves.
Leo hurriedly turned to Splinter once the candle was ignited, while trying to untangle himself from Donnie, Mary, Raph and Louie.
"EUGH! Keep that flame away from Mikey! He already scarfed down a whole chili pizza for dinner." Leo cautioned playfully.
"Yeah! Now he's like a living walking powder keg that'll blow up if you keep the flame any closer of Mikey." Raph joked, before imitating the exploding sound with his mouth while waving his arms in the air. "KAPOOOOOOOOWWWW!"
"You're one to talk, Raph." Dom countered sarcastically, comparing Raph's very short and easily explosive temper with that powder keg.
Master Splinter of course didn't pay any attention to Leo's and Raph's joke. He merely remained calm while holding the ignited candle in his hand,
"Clearly, there is a power failure. I suggest that you investigate and see if it can be fixed." Splinter said to his sons and daughters as they got up from the ground - after they had finally managed to untangle themselves. "With my permission, of course."
The turtles were more that happy when they were given the permission to go to the topside.
"We're all over it, Sensei!" Mikey replied, before he quickly picked up his skateboard and rushed towards their lair's exit.
"WHOO-HOO! TOPSIDE WORLD, HERE WE COME!" Louie and Arcee cheered up together, as Louie picked up his own skateboard and tied it up to his shell-back while Arcee took her skates off her feet and quickly put them on the pink back-bag she was carrying in her shell-back before the duo rushed after Mikey.
"Hey, guys, Wait up!" Raph called after them as he pressed the button in his blades that pulled the wheels into his blades, making them to look like the shoes, before rushed after his brothers and sister.
Mary hurriedly lifted her dirt-bike on its wheels, jumped on its back and drove away to catch up her sister and brothers, though not before turning her bike's headlight on to see where she's driving.
Leo, Dom and Donnie swiftly folded up their scooter and bikes into their portable modes before hurrying after their siblings... leaving Splinter behind to watch after them when the turtles left the lair and headed eagerly to the topside.
"And hurry up. I do not wish to miss my favorite program." Splinter called out after them.
###
After leaving the sewers and moving up the streets, the turtles began their tonight's investigation of the sudden power failure by climbing on top of the particularly highest building's water tower to have a good view from the city's blackout situation. However, the turtles were quite puzzled when they discovered that the "gravity" of the situation was even bigger than what they'd first expected.
"You know, I don't think that Splinter meant that we should investigate this far." Leo commented the view of the situation.
"You can never be too through, especially when it comes to topside time." Raph replied jokingly.
Dom then spoke up next. "I agree with Leo. This unusual-looking situation totally reaches to beyond of what Splinter asked us to investigate in the first place."
The turtles viewed down into the city, finding the entire downtown being covered by the total darkness. No lights on the buildings were on, neither were the street lights. It was a massive blackout. Only the full moon in the clear night sky enlightened the city a little, but not enough.
"Wow... it's the Mother of all blackouts." Arcee commented with awe.
"This whole side of town is dark. A substation must have gone out." Donnie said. "But it shouldn't be. Usually the blackout takes over only a several blocks but not the entire town at once."
Mary grew a very skeptical of this. "I don't like this, guys. I don't like this at all, and I'm not speaking about the nyktofobia."
Leo nodded in agreement, growing skeptical as well. "I agree with Marietta here. Something isn't right. Shouldn't there be some emergency lights or something?"
"Yeah, it's totally dark down there." Louie replied.
Mikey then opened his mouth to speak, but what he then said was not even close to the more serious subject among of the other turtles... as usual.
"Which means, there's only one thing for us to do." the turtle in orange said, with a mischievous grin that spread to the other turtles faces - including the most serious ones - within the minutes after they all realized that what Mikey actually meant.
###
Following Mikey's suit, even for once, the turtles decided to grab to the opportunity and take all the fun out of the situation.
They did so by resuming their extreme sports at the street level, and laughed heartily as they raced along the empty streets of New York under the cover of the darkness. Eventually, the green team ended up in front of the museum building, where they kept skating, biking, riding, racing, jumping, flipping and skidding around.
"BANZAI!" Mikey shouted as he skidded down the handrail of the stairs of the museum on his skateboard.
"BANZAI!" Raph shouted as he followed his little brother down the rail with his roller-blades."
"GERONIMO!" Louie shouted as he skidded down the second rail with his own over-sized skateboard.
"SACAJAWEA!" Arcee screamed in joy as she followed her brother down the rail with her pinky roller skates.
Donnie and Mary were meanwhile competing with each other by performing various stunts with their bikes. Donnie was making various high leaps, back flips and barrel rolls over several obstacles, such as the benches, bush hedges and parked cars, while Mary was wheeling along the street with her dirt-bike's front tire or spinning around the rapid pace on her bike's back tire on top the parked car's roofs or the fire hydrants.
performing some stunts with their bikes as well, such as leaping and flipping over the benches, bush hedges and parked cars, wheeling on their bike's front tires and rolling around while wheeling on the back tires and stuff, while cheering and laughing at their successes.
However, despite the fun they were having with the others, Leo and Dom were the only turtles who wondered if it was wise for them to do this at street level.
"Guys, do you really think that we should be doing this?" Leo questioned, as he stopped his scooter in front of the museum's stairs.
"Of course! Why shouldn't we?" Arcee asked as she skidded to halt on her brother's right.
"Well, we were kinda permitted By Master Splinter to come to the surface only to investigate this blackout instead of having fun." Leo reminded.
Yeah. Besides, we're quite vulnerable in the open here. What if somebody sees us?" Dom remarked.
Mikey, Raph and Louie, reluctantly ceasing their fun, skidded to halt next to the turtles in pink, blue and white: Mikey on Arcee's right and Raph and Louie on Dom's left.
"That's the beauty of bit, Dom. Nobody can see us. It's pitch black out here." Raph said with the smirk, putting his hand on Dom's shoulder while waving his other in front of him as if showing his brother the darkness around of them.
"And that's the best part in the whole blackout thing! It provides for us so much darkness around of us that it covers our identities from everyone up here. Besides, if someone really sees us, they would nothing more than dismiss us as a regular local street boys doing their late night entertainment. Thanks to our good friend, the darkness, they'd never see the difference! You follow me?!" Louie said with a controlled loud voice while having a pretty wide smirk on his lips.
"Hmm! Hmm! Raph and Louie have a surprisingly ironic point there, Leo and Dom." Arcee added in while nodding her head in agreement.
"Yeah! So don't be such of killjoy, guys. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to session some surface terrain." Mikey added.
Before either Leo or Dom could reply their further opinions about this, Donnie and Mary hurriedly skidded to halt next to the rest of their family.
"Guys! SHH! Keep it down!" Donnie warned with the low but sharp tone, holding his finger in front of his lips.
The other turtles instantly fell quiet after noticing the alarmed looks on their brainy brother's and older sister's faces.
"What is it, guys?" Leo asked with the low tone.
"And why do we need to be so quiet all of the sudden?" Mikey asked silently.
"Yeah, guys. What gives? There's nobody here save for us turtles." Louie reminded with quiet voice.
"Wrong, bro." Mary corrected before turning around and pointing with her finger up at the museum's roof. "Up there! At the right corner of the museum's rooftop!"
Following their sister's finger, the turtles looked up to the right corner of the museum's rooftop. And to their surprise, the turtles saw three or four shadowy figures climbing quietly along the rope towards the rooftop of the museum.
"Burglars! Breaking in museum!" Arcee exclaimed in realization, though in whisper.
"And not just any burglars... but some old acquaintances from behind of a few weeks." Mary remarked.
The turtles quietly moved to hide behind of the bush hedge to observe these figures' going. With the help of the moon's light that shone to the level of the rooftops, turtles realized even to their bigger surprise that these figures weren't actually just the burglars... but ninjas! And not just any ninjas. They looked exactly the very same like the ones they fought against a few weeks back in that alley. The red three-toed footprint symbol on their chest proved that.
"Those mysterious ninja-guys again." Louie whispered.
"Didn't we fight those clowns once before?" Mikey asked from his brothers and sisters, recalling their first encounter with these ninjas.
"Yeah, and we nearly ended up to turtle-slices." Donnie replied, remembering how those ninjas nearly had them killed back then.
Raph then stood up, drawing out his Sais before twirling them rapidly in his hands. "Who's up for some payback?"
Dom was instantly against the idea. "I don't think that we're supposed to do this. This trip was supposed to be about investigating the power failure... not have a paybacks on the ninjas with which we just happened to cross paths with." the turtle in white said, reminding them about their original mission.
Louie then spoke up next. "Well, Dom, if you don't want to have some payback on those ninjas and some ninja-exercise..." Louie started, until he was cut off by Mary, who continued for him with the more serious matter.
"And most importantly: to stop the obvious attempt of burglary in museum..." the turtle in turquoise finished.
"Yeah, right." Louie nodded before turning back to Dom "And if you don't want to stop the attempt of burglary in the museum, you're free to skip this one and remain here where you're safe and sound from the harm's way. Chicken." the turtle in black teased, using Dom's pessimistic nature against him with his words.
The turtles - all except Leo - turned to look at Dom, smirking at him with broad and mischievous smiles after hearing Louie calling him a chicken. Mikey and Arcee both even let a small giggles to escape their mouths, though both of them made then an effort to hold their laughter back.
"But what Master Splinter would say if he learns about this. He already got pretty pissed off when we told him about our encounter with a bunch of ninjas during of our first trip in the topside, remember? We were lucky that he didn't place us under of house arrest for that." the turtle in white said.
"He will understand if we simply tell him that we made a small detour to stop some burglars in the museum, Dom." Mary said next.
"Besides, what could possibly happen during the routine vigilante-mission that could cause Splinter to get mad with us?" Louie added.
The other turtles, except Leo, agreed with Louie.
Noticing this, Dom turned to Leo for some support. "Leo? As the leader of this team, be reasonable one. We do not need to do this, right? What about our original mission for what Splinter gave us the permission to come up here in the first place?"
Leo considered his answer for a moment, but eventually allowed the sense of duty - like defending the justice against the criminality - to take him over.
"I think that stopping the attempt of burglary in the museum would be sufficiently reasonable excuse to put the investigation of the power failure aside... for now at least." Leo answered, before he jumped over the hedge. "C'mon, guys. Whatever those guys are up to, we'll stop them."
"And with the power and the lights out, maybe the museum's security system is out as well. It's like 'open house day'. Only at night time, of course." Donnie added as he followed Leo.
One by one, the turtles followed Leo into the museum. All but Dom, who still remained where he was, staring in puzzlement after his family as they confidently followed the turtle in blue up the stairs and towards the museum's doors.
The turtle in white was utterly dumbfounded by Leo's answer that wasn't what he had expected from the one that was supposed to be their more serious and reasonable leader. He was also a torn between the choices: while he wasn't quite interested in some petty payback like Raph was, he still held in high regard the code of morality and justice. But facing the wrath of Splinter for disobeying him by going into the mission he hadn't given the permission was even scarier than anything else.
However, knowing that his family needed him in stopping those ninjas, and knowing all too well that Louie would never let him to live it down if he skipped this one out because he was "too scared" to get beaten up again, Dom realized that he had no other choice but to swallow his pride and follow his family into this unnecessary vigilante-mission again.
Groaning in frustration, Dom reluctantly hopped over the hedge and rushed up the stairs after his family, who had already reached to the doors of the museum.
"Fine! You won, guys! But don't say I didn't try to warn you!" Dom called after them, almost hoping that this little detour would backfire to his brothers and sisters somehow later... even if it would backfire to him as well for going along with them.
To Be Continue.
