Chapter 3 New arivals
Ellinoir(OC) pov
I flew for a few minutes when I felt a shiver run down my spine as if something or one had just checked me out from top to bottom. I quickly saw the surprisingly big town bordering on the size of a small city. I stopped to hover for a minute to check where the refugee camp would be since I likely was going to have to sleep there. I looked around and saw what looked like a sea of yurts(Mongolian tents). I figured Rimaru had to come up with something like that since his town went from what I guessed from the series around 5000 people to 55.000. Making it impossible for him to build houses fast enough regardless the camp seemed nice and clean. I half expected something more akin to our own refugee camps which were always messy and felt insecure. I then turned to the giant building that was Rimaru's (presidential) home. I flew towards it looking down. I saw a lot of people looking up at what I could only think was for them a stranger flying overhead. I chuckled at the thought of seeing Rimaru in the 'flesh'. My only regret till now was that I couldn't have met Shizu because I 'overslept'. I wondered what he would look like. Since in the anime his hair was blue while apparently in the manga it was white. When I landed in the square just in front of The House. Rimaru was already standing outside. He didn't look dangerous at all. His hair was a nice silver with a blue shimmer to it(think rose gold but with cyan blue). His posture was relaxing and inviting. His eyes were a very nice deep blue. His clothes were simply the blue one from the anime but I could finally see that the inside of the jacket was lined with fur, the same white fur that was on the top of it. Even though the anime made it look like he had a body around the age of 9 it looked more like he was 16 or so. Just small for a 16 year old 'kid'. While I looked at him my heart happily started dancing in my chest. "Damn he looks nice. Sooo nice." I thought "Wait, how long have I been looking at him?" I panicked for half a second, but he didn't seem to have noticed. Then I decided to just walk up to Rimaru and said nervously "Hi. I'm Ellinoir Lightweaver". Rimaru snapped out of what looked like some trans "eeeh heh. I'm Rimaru. Rimaru Tempest. The leader of this federation" he said sheepishly for some reason. "Would you like to come inside? We can discuss your stay over a cup of tea." Rimaru said with an odd sweet tone in his voice. I followed him inside but before I could even set both feet inside Benimaru came and instantly drew his sword at me. I panicked and crossed my arms as if only to protect my face while closing my eyes. I quickly heard a high *ping* sound as metal met …. Metal? I opened my eyes to see that my spear had formed pollengarden around me. Rimaru had also come but stood next to me looking amazed. When my breathing finally evened out. I simply said "Primrose, form 1." the sphere around me lighted up for half a second, shooted upward and realigned itself back to the spear I first laid my eyes on. Then I looked at Benimaru annoyed. I sighed "Thanks, now I have to go look where I dropped my stuff" I said dripping with sarcasm. While I left to look for my stuff. I saw a glance of Rimaru scolding Benimaru for what I could only think of was rash behavior. I found my stuff quickly because it had fallen from the sky when my spear almost teleported to my location. Since stuff falling from the sky wasn't normal(when is it ever?). It was quickly the talk of the town. I found the tent quickly but it was broken. The sticks that were supposed to hold it were broken, piercing and tearing the cloth that was supposed to keep out the rain. I sighed. My 2 sleeping bags were luckily in a better state, one only had a small tear in it. Which could easily be fixed, the other was only dirty and wet from falling in a puddle. I grabbed both bags and hovered back to Rimaru's House. On my way back I heard people whispering behind my back. They were clearly either wary or curious about me. When I came back both Shuna and Shion were waiting for me along with Benimaru. Then Benimaru bowed while saying "my apologies for attacking for no specific reason". "It's fine now." I said "I did get something useful out of it in the end and no one was hurt. So it's fine." Shuna quickly looked closer to the sleeping bags I was carrying, more specifically the one with a tear in it. "If you want I can fix that for you. Oh where are my manners, I'm Shuna." Shion looked at me as if to try and read me like I was some forbidden book. "I'm Ellinoir Lightweaver." I answered back at Shuna With a slight bow since I knew she was technically a princess. "Oh my. What nice manners. Thank you. Please come in and follow me" Shuna said with her hands in front of her mouth as always. I followed Shuna inside and was quickly brought to a nice looking room. It had a smaller oval shaped table with 4 seats at all ends. I walked in and quickly saw that since day one I had walked barefoot. I stared at myself for a minute. After that I decided to just take a seat. Just when I did, the door opened and in came Rimaru, Shuna and Benimaru. Rimaru and Shuna took a seat while Benimaru simply stood by the door as guard. "So let's begin." Rimaru said. Followed by "I'm going to ask you a couple personal questions, okay? It's so that I'm certain that you are not a treat to me and my people." I simply nodded "question one. you have a name. Right?" I nodded again. "Who gave you that nice name?" Rimaru asked, followed by an elbow in his rib from Shuna. I chuckled then answered "I did. Used one of my skills to do it." "no point in lying, right?" I thought. Rimaru looked at me for a second without saying anything. "Must be using great sage on me." I felt a familiar shiver run down my spine and quickly connected those two dots. "Second question, are you a otherworlder?" That question took me for a spin. I didn't think he would be THAT blunt about it. I answered "yesss" ending it in a sigh. He seemed to perk up from that. "Okay that makes things easier. Last question: were you summoned?" I quickly remembered what he meant by that. Summoned otherworlders were bound to the summoner's will. I shook my head "no, I'm pretty sure I died before I got here." I said knowing it would draw his attention. But unfortunately it was drawn in the wrong direction. "What do you mean with 'pretty sure'?" Shuna asked a mere second before Rimaru could. "I mean I was sleeping in a bus, heard a loud bang and afterward was drifting towards here. So my best guess is I died on impact." I answered. "I see." Rimaru said, pondering something. After the longest short amount of time he said "I made a decision. you can stay for now but only for as long as you don't cause problems for me." "Soooo be a nice neighbor and I can stay?" I asked half taunting much to Shuna Amusement and Benimaru annoyance "Yes. that's what we meant." Shuna Finished. "Ajato" I said back, Rimaru gave a short smiling snort before I got back up and left the room only to realize that this building was a mansion and that I didn't pay attention on how I got to this room. So All I could do was knock on the door I just came out of. "Come in." Shuna said. I opened the door half standing half inside the room "I don't remember how to get back to the front door" I said bowing my head in shame since it made me feel like a 5 year old. Rimaru couldn't help but laugh at the absolute helplessness of what I could only guess was his equil. "Sorry" he said "it's just you're almost as powerful as I am. To see you like that just cracked me up" Shuna quickly added "that also why you were pulled apart instead of just outright accepted. It was too risky for that." "On that note I'll gladly take you back. Your sleeping bags should be repaired by now" she added. Then Benimaru said something that surprised me "I also asked for a new tent to be made for you since I was the reason yours got…. Broken" he said trying his damndest to swallow his pride long enough to just say it. I simply smiled at him, then I said "thank you Benimaru" before I turned around and thanked Rimaru as well. I followed Shuna outside and found out that it was literally just turn left, go straight. Shuna then led me to her workshop when we were there she asked "where did you get that dress? It looks absolutely divine." I said I had no idea and that I woke up with it along with my spear Primrose. "On that note. Is it just a spear? It already took a second form." "third" I interrupted her "this is the third form I managed to have it take. But I don't know which one is Pollengarden" "Pollenwhatnow?" she asked, looking more and more interested "the form it took. That ball is called Pollengarden" I said, trying hard not to boast. "Can any of those forms help with making clothes?" I giggled while saying "no I don't think so but I don't know all the forms it can take. Maybe I can alter some of them to fit, but I think that's about it." She thought for a second. Then simply said "owwel wishful thinking perhaps. Anyway we're here." I stood before a building that could best be decrypted as one of the canal houses by my home in Amsterdam. Shuna opened the door and I quickly followed. What I saw was about 30 goblinas each working on one order/clothes piece. By the time I looked back Shuna was gone, so I decided that I would simply wait leaning against the nearest wall. Just as quickly as she disappeared she reappeared with both of my sleeping bags fixed and smelling like dandelions. "Thank you Shuna." I said as she handed them over. After I left I went into the direction of the 'refugees' camp. But before I was even halfway Rimaru came and walked next to me "Did something happen rimaru? Sir?... What am I even supposed to call you right now anyway?" Rimaru chuckled for a couple seconds. "cute." I thought. He then said "just Rimaru is fine. But thanks for asking. And to answer your first question. I'm here to warn you." I looked at him with a combination of wariness and curiosity. "Warn about what?" I asked, looking away blushing since I noticed I was staring at him. "About one of your skills. I had great sage analyze it, and while it is incomplete. I do know that if you use it now, You will die." he said with dread as if the thought itself was making him sad for some reason. "Okay, which skill is it?" I asked. "The skill is called 'branch of the world'. Even great sage doesn't know what it does but, please don't use it." he said almost begging. I looked at him "don't worry. I indeed wanted to use it but I'll use rulebreaker so that I won't die from it, okay?" trying to cheer him up a little. He looked up and just said "Please be careful and stop the second something feels off." that last part almost coming out as an order. "Using rulebreaker using branch of the world". Nothing happened for a second then a green light came out of my left hand pulling it slightly upward. I raised my hand and at that exact moment it felt like a grenade exploded inside my chest followed by what felt like a tornado of iron tearing myself apart. I reached for my chest and tried to scream but no sound came out. The last thing I noticed were the green light shooting to the clouds and Rimaru running to my side for providing aid.
