"Lucy! This is it! I don't care anymore!" Jude Heartfilia yelled at his sixteen-year-old daughter.
"What?" Lucy was taken back from what her father was talking about.
Jasper Heartfilia, Lucy's older brother had just gotten engaged to the daughter of another rich and powerful family that will be extending the Heartfilia Railroad line down to the south. Jasper was standing in the office along with Lucy. Their mother was long gone. Due to the complications of Magic Deficiency Disease (MDD), with didn't help with the fact that she, Layla already had a frail body to begin with and it was hard enough that her life force was gone when she had to open the Eclipse Gate to let through the Dragon Slayers and Anna Heartfilia.
"I can't take the behavior of yours! I am disowning you as of today. Please leave the estate." Jude growled
"Father you can't!" Jasper tried to talk some sense into Jude. It was because Lucy was an exact copy of her mother. Because Lucy can use Celestial Magic just like her mother. Because Jude was afraid of losing his daughter like he lost his wife. He didn't want to bear know that Lucy was going to follow down the same path as her mother – becoming a Wizard. He didn't want to bear the fact that Lucy was old enough to go off and look for a guild. If she – if she died, then he would be crushed knowing that she could be here.
"I already made up my mind!" Jude looked at his kids. "Now, Lucy, pack whatever you want and leave." His voice broke at the end. He didn't want her to go. To bear the heartbreak that his daughter was a copy of his dead wife, it was hard enough to know the truth.
"What will I do about money?!" Lucy cried out. She was crushed. She knew that since her mother passed, her father was colder towards her, but still protective.
"You'll get 2,000 jewels a month for a year, make it last." Jude stated. "Now. GO!"
Lucy backed out of the office and she headed towards her bedroom to go ahead and pack up everything she wanted to take. She wasn't going to be able to carry everything, she grabbed Virgo's key.
"Open, Gate of the Maiden, Virgo." Lucy said as she summons her trusty maid spirit.
"You summoned Princess?" Virgo asked as she looked at her Mistress – though Lucy hated the word – she would prefer another name to be called, and then it was settled on Princess.
"Yes, I was wondering….If you would be able to store some my stuff into the celestial world, to keep safe?"
"Of course, Princess. Do you need some boxes?"
"You have boxes?"
"Celestial Boxes, it will keep anything and everything safe."
"Thanks Virgo, can you maybe hurry, I want to get out of here….soon." Lucy whispered as she looked at the magazine, and on the cover was Mirajane Strauss from the Magic Guild, Fairy Tail. But – the guild was also attached to the best Private school ever – Fairy Academy, and anyone who was abandoned by their parents is welcomed, they aren't really an orphanage, but they help.
"Princess, I'm back. Do you need more help from the other spirits?" Virgo asked.
"Huh? Yes, please." Lucy nodded as she touched her keys and asked help from Aries, Gemini and Plue.
"You summoned!" Gemini asked.
"I'm here for your help Lucy!" Aries smiled.
"Yes, my father, is kicking me out, and I need help packing everything into the Celestial Boxes, but I'm taking a suitcase as well, and a duffle bag with certain things." Lucy said.
"Oh Miss Lucy!" Aries frowned.
Her spirits knew about the abuse that her father had done, but the thing was that Lucy was grateful to be leaving. There was knock on her door as Virgo, Gemini (who transformed into Lucy), and Aries dealt with the clothing. Lucy – the real Lucy – walked towards the door and on the other side was Jasper.
"Jasper. Can I help you?" She asked as she was scared to be leaving. But she knew that she was going to be making her way towards Fairy Tail – wherever that may be.
"I came to give you an advanced – from my own money. I'm sorry dad is doing this. He's been drinking this morning. I can't stop him – but I'm sorry that you are leaving." Jasper gave her some Jewels. "I'll help you as much as I can without him knowing."
"You don't have to."
"You are my baby sister! I have to!" Jasper growled. He was pissed that Jude was kicking Lucy out- just because she was basically a copy of their dead mother.
"Jasper…." She whispered as she took the money from her brother.
"Please be safe out there and send me a message when you have arrived somewhere save. I quickly set up a private bank account where your money will be deposited since Dad has put me in charge of giving you the money." Jasper added.
"I'm….Sorry that you will be alone." Lucy said.
"Princess, we've packed up everything." Virgo said.
"How did you finish so fast?" Lucy turned around and saw that she had a duffle bag that had her laptop and the important stuff. Everything – her clothing, her books – everything.
"Don't underestimate us." Gemini smiled as they transformed backed into their self.
"Thank you…so much. I'll give you a few days off!" Lucy smiled.
"Any time!" Virgo smiled.
They all disappeared – but Plue. He stayed. Lucy grabbed her bags and suitcase. "Jasper. Thank you." She hugged him one last time. "I promise, I'll let you know when I'm safe. I have to go now." Lucy let the tears fall as she escaped the Heartfilia Manor and headed towards the train station. She knew that her dad was never going to regret that he let her go.
She was free. Free. It…felt good. She couldn't believe that he would let her go. She just needed the escape. She needed this. This freedom felt good. She could change – she could become who she wanted to be. Lucy held Plue as they were on the train and headed towards Hargeon. She would start there to figure out where to go. She had to start somewhere to look for Fairy Tail – maybe she would get more keys. Of course, Jasper was able to go out and explore – so he picked up keys, that's how she was able to Plue, Aries, Scorpion, Virgo, Gemini and Pisces. She was grateful for her brother. Of course, she was able to gain Taurus key on her own when he took out last year. Lucy was happy for Jasper, he always brought her a key.
"Next stop – Hargeon." The conductor announced over the speakers.
"Alright, Plue this is us." Lucy smiled as she looked at the dog Spirit.
"MM!" Plue shivered as he was happy that Lucy was going to be safe.
The train came to stop. She gathered her duffle bag and her suitcase, as well as holding on to Plue. She got off the train and went to go look for a cheap inn to stay at. She had to get somewhere before exploring. Everything was so exciting. She was going to explore, and she was going to have fun.
Lucy finally came across a cheap a inn, and she got a room for two nights, as she had to head off to Fairy Tail.
"UGH COME ON ERZA!" A voiced whined. "HE'S HEAVY!"
"Stop your whining and just do what I do, drop him." A female voice responded – that must be Erza.
Lucy heard the commotion but shrugged her shoulders as she headed off to her room to set everything off. She opened the window and looked at the view she had. She could see the park – it's been a while since she was just walking around somewhere peaceful. Lucy sent Plue back to the Spirit World and she walked around the town.
"Alright! This is for class, you have to find something related to history!" Someone said to a class.
"A class trip to Hargeon? I wonder what school they are from…" Lucy said as she could tell they weren't in uniforms like private schools.
"Alright!" The class nodded.
Lucy shrugged her shoulders as she headed off to the park, she was sitting on a bench, feeling the breeze. She looked up at the sky, wondering if her mom was happy – sad – scared? Lucy was scared. Though there was thing she could – sing. She put in earbuds and plugged them into her IPhone. She played a song.
"I've never been one
to step out of my comfort zone
Whenever I try, I'm afraid to just let go
Don't know why I run
Don't know why I hide
Never let them know
What I feel inside
Don't know why I'm scared
just to take a chance
While I'm just standing here
I've never been one
to break free
'Cause I've been scared
what everyone thinks of me
Don't know why I run
Don't know why I hide
Never let them know
What I feel inside
Don't know why I'm scared
just to take chance
While Im just standing here
Like a bird
I'm free to fly
Spread my winds and find my light
Like a bird
I'm up so high out of the cage
Its my time to shine
Like a bird
I'm free to fly
So tell me, tell me
Why don't I?"
Lucy did what she did – and sang along to her songs. Of course at the end there was someone clapping. She opened her eyes and saw a pink haired male and a blue cat.
"Hey that was great!" He smiled at her.
"T-thanks." Her cheeks turned slightly pink.
"I'm Natsu!"
"Lucy."
"I'm Happy!" The blue cat said as he smiled.
"Nice to meet both of you."
"So, what you doing here?" Natsu asked as he sat next to her.
"Ah, just exploring the town. What about you?"
"School field trip. It's pretty boring." Natsu leaned back into the bench. "I wish it more exciting."
"I'm sorry. I really don't know much about school stuff. I was homeschooled." Lucy admitted.
"Oh really?"
"Yeah, I was pretty isolated…"
"Didn't you have friends?" Happy spoke up.
"Ah….I had my older brother, but that was about it. After my mom died a few years ago, my dad didn't allow me to leave…that much."
"That must suck. I'm sorry to hear that." Natsu frowned.
She looked at him and smiled – a smile that was forced. A smiled that was fake. Natsu could see that there was something else that she wasn't telling him. She seemed scared, frighten at trying to let someone into her life. Someone new.
"You have a nice smile – " Natsu smiled.
"Even if you forced it upon yourself." Natsu thought.
"NATSU!" Someone shouted.
The two of them looked at spotted a sliver haired female walking towards them. Behind there was two more with the same hair color. Natsu got up and smiled.
"Lisanna. Elfman. Mira!" Natsu looked at them. "What's going on?"
"Mira?" Lucy asked as she got up to look at the older female. "Mirajane Strauss!" Lucy squeaked. "Wait…" She looked at Natsu. "Are you in the same guild as them?"
"Yep! Fairy Tail!" Natsu smiled brightly.
"Wow." Lucy muttered.
"Why are you asking?"
"I was actually on my way to your guild…"
"Weird." Natsu smiled.
As they got closer Lisanna smiled. "Natsu, come on, we gotta get back to Wakaba." She then spotted Lucy. "Oh! Hello! I'm Lisanna."
"Lucy." Lucy responded. "Are you all Fairy Tail members?"
"Yup!" Lisanna showed her guildmark.
"So cool." Lucy said.
"What about you?"
"Oh! Um…"
It was then Natsu who cut in. "Lucy is going to be joining us!"
"Really?" Mirajane looked at Lucy.
"Yeah…I'm a Celestial Wizard." Lucy smiled.
"Never seen one before! How does your magic work?" Lisanna asked as she was now curious to know, as there has never been a Celestial Wizard in Fairy Tail before.
"Oh! I have these – " Lucy pulled out her key ring, with mostly Gold Keys. "Gate Keys that are linked to certain spirits and they come out and help me. Some celestial wizards give us a bad name, as they use their spirits in the worst way…"
"How?" Natsu asked.
"They use them as shields, treat them like crap." Lucy growled. "There was one Celestial Wizard, and I was lucky enough to get one of two keys she had. Karen Lilica. She would Use Aries, a kind gentle spirit and use her to….to pleasure the males." Lucy was getting really pissed and she didn't like the fact that Karen did that – "She ended up dying due to taking a job she couldn't handle."
"How did you end up with the Key?" Elfman asked.
"I – I don't know. I woke up one day and there was a key on my night stand at home." She admitted. "Some keys make their ways towards Celestial Wizards, and sometimes they are taken upon battle. My brother was able to go out and buy me some other keys."
"How many do you have?" Mirajane asked looking at the key ring.
"Lets see…I have Aries, Virgo, Gemini, Pieces, Scorpion, Cancer, Capricorn, Aquarius, Taurus, Sagittarius – those are all my gold keys, and my silver ones are Crux, Horologium, Nikora , Lyra, and Pyxis." Lucy named.
"Wow…that's a lot of keys." Mirajane smiled.
"I almost have all the Zodiac keys – which are these gold ones, and no one has ever held this amount before." Lucy nodded as she never knew that she was going to be the one who was going to gain control over all twelve, once she finds out where the last two were hidden. Somehow, her brother had made a promise to their mother – that Lucy will have all the gold keys because it is her destiny.
"Hey! Why don't you come meet everyone else!" Natsu smiled at her.
"What?" Lucy was a bit confused, why would he suggest that.
"Master Makarov, came with us, maybe you can talk with him, and you can come back with us! It would be great to have someone like you in our guild!" Lisanna agreed with Natsu.
"These people are nuts….I mean…I was going to eventually go ahead and join their guild. So..I guess why not." Lucy thought as she smiled.
"Sure, I would like that very much." Lucy nodded as she tucked her iPhone away into her pocket as Mirajane led the group. Then there was one thing that she wanted to know – "So Lisanna, you must be related to Mirajane and….the big guy right?"
"The big guy is my older brother, Elfman," Lisanna leaned in, "He tends to say, 'manly' a lot."
"Who's the oldest?" Lucy questioned.
"Mirajane!" She smiled back.
Lucy stopped as she looked at Lisanna. "Really? I thought it would be Elfman…"
"Everyone says that. It's because he's big right?"
"Yeah. That's my bad though."
"It's alright. It doesn't help that with his magic. We actually all have the same magic, just different forms of it."
"Really?"
"Take over magic. Mira really doesn't use her magic anyone, after a job…"
Lucy looked at the girl as she seemed a bit sad about it. "What happened – you don't have to tell me though."
"Well, I'll tell you! It's okay though. Elfman uses Take-over Beast Soul. He took over one the beast, and the soul itself was on a war path. I tried to get him to stop…and well… I got hurt really bad and I was in a coma for a year and half." Lisanna looked at Lucy. "So, Mira still blames herself that she wasn't able to protect me and Elfman on the job, so she vowed to give up using her magic. She went into the modeling for Sorcerer's Weekly and she helps around Fairy Tail Guild as the Barmaid and assistant to Master Makarov, like approving jobs and what not."
"If Elfman has Beast Soul, what's yours and Mira's?"
"You won't believe it, but Mira's is Satan Soul, and I have Animal Soul."
"Satan Soul…." Lucy pondered. "Really? Seems so nice…"
"She is! Don't worry, you won't get on her bad side." Lisanna laughed.
Soon enough they arrived back and Wakaba looked at the group.
"Finally! You guys found Natsu – wait…I know for sure that – " Wakaba pointed to Lucy, "Aren't in the guild."
"No! I'm Lucy. We kind of met up in the park." Lucy admitted. She started to blush because everyone was staring at her.
"Is Master around?" Natsu asked.
"What is it?" Makarov asked as it looked like he was in a deep conversation with someone who wasn't there.
Natsu grabbed Lucy's wrist and pulled her to where Makarov was sitting. As Lucy approached, she could feel someone else was there – but she did know that someone wasn't there – or as it seemed. It was bugging her. She looked at Makarov and the empty space next to him and then back at Makarov.
"Lugia here wants to join our guild!" Natsu smiles.
"It's Lucy!" She growled at him. How could he forget she just said it like ten seconds ago.
"Ah, Natsu, why don't you join the rest of the guild, because I have to ask Lucy questions – and I'm sur she doesn't want to answer them with you here."
"But – "
"Go now!"
"Fine. Catch you around Lushy!"
"IT'S LUCY!" She yelled at him.
"Come walk with me." Makarov looked at the young blonde.
"Uh, sure." Lucy nodded.
Makarov started walking away – knowing that the further away from the group the better chance that Natsu, Gajeel and Laxus wouldn't hear the questions.
"Name."
"Lucy Heartfilia."
"Heartfilia…"
"My father disowned me. My brother Jasper can vouched for it as he was there in the room when he disowned me, but said he would send me money every month for a year."
"Disowning you, yet still sending you money…"
"He's…been drinking that morning."
"Are you sure he won't ask for you back?"
"Never. I was the one he didn't really want. He…"
"Take your time." Makarov said as he looked at her, seeing her about the break.
"He abused me, physically and mentally. Jasper was able to stop him before – before he could rape me." Lucy cried.
She had to stop where they were as she started to break down as the tears flowed down her face. Makarov was pissed – how could a father do that their own daughter.
"I guess….sending the money is to make up for that…" She whispered.
"What about your brother?"
"He's getting married to one of the female clients, that my father works with to expand the railroad down to the south – please don't let anyone know who I am – yet. I want….I want to wait until I know them better – if you let me join."
"As you know, Fairy Tail, takes in everyone who has no where to go. During the summer the wizards take jobs to gain extra cash, they also have part time jobs that work with their school schedules."
Just then Makarov seemed to talk to someone who wasn't there.
"Let her join! She seems like she would be a great addition to our family. I can sense her magic! It's really good, even with training she'll be good." Mavis told Makarov.
"Are you sure?" Makarov asked Mavis.
"Uh, Master Makarov, who are you talking to?" Lucy asked.
Makarov jumped at the sound of Lucy asking him, "Oh right. You can't see her yet. The very first master and found of Fairy Tail, Mavis Vermillion. She is on board of letting you join Fairy Tail. We will set you up with a guild mark and have you fill out paperwork. You can stay with one of the females in the dorms. Almost everyone in Fairy Tail – student wise, lives in on the upper floors of our guild."
"Really!? Oh thank you!" Lucy smiled. "I'm actually going to head back to my hotel room – I just arrived today, and I should really rest up. I – used a lot of magic earlier today."
"It's alright, where are you staying, I'll have your new roommate meet with you tomorrow, so you two can get to know each other. You two will be a good match." Makarov told her.
Lucy told him the name of the inn she was at it. He nodded and made sure to remember who had a free bed. Lucy said her good-byes and headed off to her inn to get some rest – not before passing someone – who had magic that was similar to a Celestial Spirit, but she stopped and looked around. She spotted no one and shook her head as she headed back to the inn to get some rest. Even though She summoned Virgo, and she disappeared and reappeared using her own magic, having Aries and Gemini's gates opened as they helped pack – really didn't help with that fact.
It was the next day and Lucy stepped outside as she walked outside and spotted a blue haired mage.
"Hi! You must be Lucy! I'm Levy McGarden. Master Makarov told me that you would be my new roommate." The girl – Levy spoke.
"Hi! Nice to meet you. Yeah, I can't wait to be an official member." Lucy smiles.
What Lucy didn't know was that Mavis was also there – and Levy wondered why Mavis had wanted to tag along to check out Lucy.
"So, Lucy, what magic do you use?" Levy asked.
"Celestial Magic, and you?"
"Script Magic, it's pretty cool. I read about Celestial Magic, in our Guilds Library." Levy said. "You are the first one I met!"
"My mom and my one ancestor were both Celestial wizards. It's like a female trait that we have." Lucy laughed.
She remembered going with her mom to Fiore's capital when she was younger. Lucy begged her mother to let her come and see the world. So Layal agreed to let her come. It was July 7th, X777 and what Lucy didn't know was that her mother was going to be replacing a Golden Key with her own life – and that's why she died. She died because she couldn't receive the last key. That day, they arrived at the Royal Palace in the basement, where Lucy met with Princess Hisui and the two were close. They were together – as Layla had opened the gate to allow the five dragon slayers and Anna Heartfilia through the gate.
"Look!" Hisui ran to the balcony as Lucy followed.
"Wow! Where did they come from?"
"Who know! The colors are pretty!"
Soon enough there was a knock at the door and Layal and another woman appeared. "Lucy come here please."
"Sure!" Lucy looked at Hisui and smiled. "Bye!"
Lucy went to her mother and took her hand as the three Heartfilia walked outside and Layal turned to Anna. "This is Lucy, my daughter. Lucy this is, a relative."
"Hi!" Lucy smiled brightly.
"Hi. I see why you chose to open it now." Anna stated.
"Yeah. I didn't want Lucy to go through it." Layla admitted.
"What were those lights?" Lucy asked.
"Those lights….They were very strong wizards who traveled to come here because of their magic." Anna hummed.
"What kind of magic?" Lucy tilted her head.
"Now, it would be considered lost magic," Layal stated, "You'll learn about it when you are older. Right now, we have a long way to go. We have to return the keys to their owners and head home." She looked at her daughter.
"Lucy…" Levy's voice was coming through a memory.
"Huh? Oh! I'm so sorry! I was just remembering something from my past." Lucy sighed.
"What was it?" Levy asked.
"I was in Crocus with my mom. We were at the Royal palace. I was with Princess Hisui while my mom was somehere else. Soon me and Hisui saw five lights streak across the sky, Red, Gray, Blue, White and Black, then all off sudden I met a long lost relative out of nowhere." Lucy admitted. "They wouldn't tell me what was going, but my mom had to collect all the gate keys – and well, we couldn't get to one. So…we went anyways. My mom soon fell ill after that." Lucy admitted. "Soon enough, Anna – the relative told me that they were kids she was protecting, and the magic that they would have would be Lost Magic when they got here."
"Lost magic – that only happens if they are from the past…."
"Unless someone knew it and taught it to them."
"I wonder who they are… Now I'm curious!"
"Maybe we'll have our own mission!"
"I like what you are thinking!"
The two were walking around Hargeon, and by the time they knew it was Lunch and the whole guild was going to be having a picnic in the park – the one where Lucy met Natsu, Lisanna, Mira and Elfman. Lucy and Levy showed, and two boys come running over to Levy.
"Levy! Come on! Let's go!" one of them said.
"Hold up! Jet, Droy, meet my new roommate when we get back to the guild, Lucy! Lucy my teammates, Jet and Droy."
"Nice to meet you, why don't you sit with us!" Jet smiled.
"Sure." Lucy nodded.
Levy mentioned on their way over, she told Lucy that yesterday, Master Makarov mentioned to everyone that she was going to be joining as well that Master Mavis had agreed to it. So, everyone knew that they would be gaining their first Celestial Wizard. This was something that new for the whole guild – there was one person who seemed not enjoy the fact that a celestial mage was going to be joining. At the picnic, he was sitting with Cana, Jet, Droy, Levy and of course, Lucy. Loke looked at Lucy and spotted the handful of gold keys –
"You- you are the Celestial mage!?" Loke quickly got up.
"um, yeah." Lucy raised an eyebrow.
"I gotta go!" Loke bolted away.
"What the fuck…" Lucy muttered.
"Don't take it personally, Loke has a bad history of Celestial Wizards." Mira looked at Lucy as she was sitting close by.
"I see." Lucy nodded her head.
"Something about that is really fishy though. I guess I'll just leave it alone." Lucy thought.
With Loke, he was sitting by a fountain and looked at the water, touching it. "She…I sensed it. Aries Key. She has it. Thank god. Aries is safe. She has almost all of them. Just missing me and libra. I wish I could tell her – maybe she could help. Three long years I've been here. But this is my punishment for killing Karen." Loke thought.
There was only one other person in Fairy Tail who knew the truth about who Loke was – Bickslows, the local Seith mage. Loke shook his head. It was hard to keep Bickslow quite about who he was and why he was here in the human world and not back in the spirit world. Time was running up – and soon he would disappear. Forever.
Back at the picnic, Lucy was having a blast. This is was a family, and she was happy to have a real family – again. It was hard for the family to be one again after her mother died. Jude fell to drinking so all she has Jasper who was able to be both a mother and father to her. Here she was – with a family who was going to treat her right. Lucy took out her phone to send a text to Jasper.
To Jasper:
Hey! I just want to let you know, that yesterday I made it to Hargeon safely! And guess what! You'll never believe it but Fairy Tail, the guild I was going to be joining was also here! I was able to talk to Master Makarov and I'll be going back to their guild with them when they leave. I miss you…
Love, Lucy xox
Lucy sent her text as she looked that they were going to see who was going to have a better singing voice and up right now was Gajeel – Levy pointed everyone out for Lucy to know who was who as everyone knew who she was. Apparently – Gajeel wasn't a really good singer – as he sang something, and everyone told him to get off the stage just then –
"LUCY SHOULD SING!" Natsu shouted.
"You sing?" Cana asked – drunkly.
"How old is Cana? And why the fuck is she already drunk?!" Lucy thought.
"Uh, yeah. Kind of." Lucy said.
"Get up over there and sing something!" Levy encouraged her.
Natsu smiled at her. That smile – it was a nice smile. She got up and walked over to the stage, not sure what she should sing. She looked through her songs quickly, wondering what she could sing. She deiced to go with See You again – by Miley.
"I got my sight set on you and I'm ready to aim
I have a hear that will never be tamed
I knew you were something special when you spoke my name
Now I can't wait to see you again
I've got a way of knowing when something is right
I feel like I must have known you in another life
'Cause I felt this deep connection when you looked in my eyes
Now I can't wait to see you again
The last time I freaked out
I just kept looking down
I stuttered when you asking me what I'm thinking about
Felt like I couldn't breathe
You asked what's wrong with me
My best friend Leslie said "Oh, she's just being Miley"
The next time we hang out
I will redeem myself
my heat: it can't rest 'til then
I, I can't wait to see you again
I got this crazy feeling deep inside
When you called and asked to see me tomorrow night
I'm not a mind reader but I'm reading the signs
That you can't wait to see me again
The last time I freaked out
I just kept looking down
I stuttered when you asking me what I'm thinking about
Felt like I couldn't breathe
You asked what's wrong with me
My best friend Leslie said "Oh, she's just being Miley"
The next time we hang out
I will redeem myself
my heat: it can't rest 'til then
I, I can't wait to see you again
I got my sight set on you and I'm ready to aim
The last time I freaked out
I just kept looking down
I stuttered when you asking me what I'm thinking about
Felt like I couldn't breathe
You asked what's wrong with me
My best friend Leslie said "Oh, she's just being Miley"
The next time we hang out
I will redeem myself
my heat: it can't rest 'til then
I, I can't wait to see you again
I, I can't wait to see you again"
Everyone cheered and clapped. Some of the guys whistled as Lucy was really good.
"Wow, I didn't know you could do that Lu!" Levy smiled.
"Lu?" Lucy asked.
"Oh! I should ask..Can I call you Lu or Lulu?" Levy asked
"Sure! I would like Lev!"
The rest of the day went by quickly and Lucy was walking with Levy back to the inn. Levy told her that everyone was going to be heading back to guild tomorrow. Of course, Levy mentioned that her, Jet and Droy would drop by to walk with her to the train station. Levy really enjoyed her company and it was great thing that these two connected – she was happy to have someone who shared the same interest and what not. They were going to be the best of friends.
As Lucy entered the room. She closed and locked the door. Levy told her what magic everyone also uses – so that it would be easier for Lucy to pick out a team – or a partner for her to take when she goes on jobs as they don't allow newbies to take solos – yet. On the bed she noticed a book, the Heartfilia clan book. She picked it up and read it. This was the book that told her mother to do whatever was needed those years ago. She wondered the book came from – since she didn't remember it from the home library.
Taking a seat on the bed, she packed the book away. She didn't want to know what made her mother die. She couldn't bear knowing the actual reason she has MDD. Lucy took a bath as tomorrow – she'll be on the train with the rest of Fairy Tail – and she was going to their member – for life. She couldn't wait to get boxes unpacked and make a permeant home with the guild – with Levy.
The next morning came and Lucy was packed as she wore a tank top and some shorts. Her blonde hair was pulled into a pony tail, as she returned the key to the front desk and stepped outside to see Levy, Jet and Droy. She smiled and then stopped.
"Oh! He should come out and enjoy the walk!" Lucy reached for keys.
"Who?" Droy asked.
"Plue." Lucy answered as she took out the key – "Open! Gate of the Canis Minor! Nikora!" Lucy said as she summoned Plue.
"What is that?" Jet asked looking at Plue, "A snowman?"
"No, he's a dog, Canis means dong." Levy corrected Jet. "He is so cute! His name is Plue right?"
"The official name is Nikora, but this key is one the most popular ones because they don't take up a whole to summon and keep the gate open. Usually people keep them as pets because of the amount of magic it takes. We agreed on the name Plue." Lucy said as Plue did his cute –
"Puu-puun!" Plue said as he agreed.
"They come in a lot of shapes and colors." Lucy went on.
The four of them walked along the train station. Of course – Natsu seemed to be reluctant to take the train and rather take the extra time to walk. Lucy raised her eyebrow wondering what that was all about.
"Nonsense Natsu!" Erza said as she knocked him out.
"Holy Shit! She just knocked him!" Lucy squeaked.
"Sadly, Natsu gets motion sickness." Levy sighed. "And we rather not have him barf on the train. So Erza usually knocks him out to get him on the train."
"Alright everyone! Get on the train so we can head home!" Macao said as he counted everyone – and made to add one because of Lucy.
Soon enough they were on the train back and Lucy sat with Levy, Jet and Droy. Everyone questioned Lucy about the snowman she had -and she had to correct everyone that Plue was a dog spirit. His looks – were anything but a dog. Of course, Mirajane thought he was cute – along with Lisanna and Cana. Lucy was happy to be going and seeing Fairy Tail – and joining the school. Just then Lucy felt her phone go off, and she pulled out her phone and looked at the text.
To Lucy:
Hey! Sorry for not answer, I'm happy that you are joining the one guild you wanted to join. Be safe and call me when you arrive.
Jasper.
A/N: Songs used: Why Don't I by Sofia Carson and See You Again by Miley Cyrus. I hope you all enjoyed Chapter One of my new NaLu! I wanted something different that didn't follow the anime the same way - so I chose to go with the events that Lucy was with Layal when going to the Royal Palace to release Natsu and the Slayers into the year x777, I don't know if I'm going to have figure out about those lights - to this day in the fanfic, she DOES keep in touch with Princess Hisui. Look forward to Chapter 2 in the near future!
