Christmas Special

Snow gently drifted down from the sky and graced the world below whilst it was carried along by the cold winter winds, flake by flake covering the ground with a blanket of white whilst also beginning to rest of various objects. The water had long turned to ice since the start of December whilst a fresh layer of frost had crept along windows in the middle of the night, making the whole town of Magnolia into a winter wonderland and on the perfect date.

Nathan continued to sleep on blissfully in the warmth and comfort of the covers of his bed, his breaths calm and steady whilst he showed little sign of waking, something which remained in direct contrast to another person in the house.

"It's Christmas!" Wendy said as she sat upright in bed with a beaming smile as she rubbed the rest of the sleepiness from her eyes before casting her gaze over to the window in her room, noticing the sight of the winter wonderland that was out there making her smile continue to widen.

"Good morning, child," Carla said she woke up beside Wendy, stirred from her slumber by her energetic behaviour whilst knowing that even attempting to return to her sleep would have been a futile endeavour if that was something that she was even thinking about.

"Merry Christmas Carla!" Wendy greeted with a warm smile as she looked down at her friend and partner.

"Merry Christmas Wendy." Carla returned the greeting with a warm smile of her own. "It looks like we will be getting another white Christmas this year as well then." She then noted as she looked towards the window as Wendy had already done, her words furthering Wendy's excitement.

"I wonder what everyone from the guild is going to be up to today," Wendy said as she got out of bed, walking over to her dresser to grab another dress to wear for the day, flicking from one to another as she occasionally held one up against her body before setting it back down to look at another one.

"I see you're trying your best to dress up again." Carla noted as she walked down the bed with a smile at the clear effort that she was putting in for the day, "Are you looking forward to spending Christmas with Nathan?" she then asked making Wendy flinch slightly before she turned around almost nervously as she faced Carla, her mind easy for the exceed to read much to Carla's amusement.

"Carla!" Wendy pouted the moment that she saw the felines' reaction to her as she felt her cheeks getting slightly warmer.

"I see that you haven't gotten too used to your relationship yet, have you?" Carla said as she flew over to her own draws, starting to look for something to wear herself.

"But what about all the time that you have been spending with Happy?" Wendy then shot back with a confident smile, knowing that there was now little that Carla could do to defend herself against whatever she said. It had been a little bit of time since she and Nathan had become official and there was still some teasing about them but it had already started to die down, whilst for Carla who still hadn't fully admitted to her feelings for the blue cat remained an exciting topic whenever something did happen between them.

"That is none of your business!" Carla shot back with almost a huff as she proceeded to almost excessively flick through her clothes, easily putting in just as much, if not more effort than Wendy previously was, yet it was at the same time that the perfect idea had struck her prompting her to put down her current dress. Instead, she grabbed a blue dress with a short frilly skirt to it alongside some tights before returning to the bed to put them on.

It didn't take her long to get dressed before she then reached out to her bedside desk for the two winglike hair clips that she used to pin her heir behind her ears. "I wonder if I should do a little more?" Wendy wondered aloud as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.

"You certainly are putting in a lot of effort for today." Carla couldn't help but comment again.

"Well, isn't there a chance that this is Nathan's first Christmas?" Wendy worriedly replied.

"It would at least be the first that he would be able to remember, and you just want to make it memorable like that don't you?" Carla replied with another warm smile on her face at the girl's thoughtfulness but she soon lost it as her thoughts wandered back to Nathan. 'Would that nonchalant boy even notice her efforts?' She couldn't help but sourly think before she shook off the thought.

"I'll see you downstairs, Ok?" Wendy then said gathering Carla's attention to find her standing by the door, already holding it open as she was ready to leave.

"Go on and surprise him then," Carla replied with a smile, knowing what was the driving moment for the girl. And with a smile and energetic nod did Wendy then move on, closing the door behind for Carla.

"Actually, would he be awake yet?" Wendy then pondered to herself as she stood at the top of the stairs, looking over at the door to Nathan's bedroom. It wouldn't have been the first time for him to have slept in a little bit for the day, with whenever he did so was something that she and Carla would patiently wait for as he would surely wake up soon enough to go to the guild. "But it's Christmas, he can't sleep in today, especially when the guild is helping out at the cathedral as well…"

It couldn't be helped, could it? Besides, if she didn't then there was a good chance that Carla would make him up even more roughly, wouldn't she? Not to mention that she wanted to see his reaction to her gift as soon as possible… and possibly her clothes as well…

So slowly that she almost looked hesitant did Wendy creep her way over to Nathan's room, gently knocking in his door before waiting for any kind of response and feeling almost happy when there was no response at all.

"Nathan?" Wendy gently called out as she opened the door, carefully stepping into the room and spying Nathan still continuing to sleep on blissfully under the covered of his bed. The sight of him was enough to bring a smile to Wendy's face as she walked over to him before kneeling by his side. "He's cute like this…" she commented without realising it, giving into embarrassment as she realised what she had just said whilst she frantically looked around, hoping that neither Nathan or Carla had just heard her.

To her luck, however, she still found that neither of the two listened to her much to her relief. "But how to wake you up? Last time you were so hard to wake up, and then…" she muttered to herself as she thought back to the first time, she had tried to wake Nathan up before, and the awkward results that had resulted from it. At least this time she wouldn't be caught up with improper dress to make it all the more awkward…

"Last time he said to pinch his nose." She said as she looked over his sleeping face before another idea came to mind, one that had her blushing at the mere thought, yet she still couldn't help but find it strangely tempting as well.

In pure silence, she leaned over his face whilst holding her hair back so that it wouldn't fall over them before gently and slowly inching her face closer and closer to his until at last, their lips touched. The simple touch of his lips was always surprisingly soft and enjoyable, enough so that she soon found herself easing into the action as she began to settle down. And after just a few, yet long enjoyable moments did she finally draw away.

"Wendy?" Nathan's voice suddenly rang out throughout the room freezing Wendy in shock as she looked back down to see Nathan looking back at her, now blushing whilst his face was completely covered with confusion.

"Ahhhh~" Wendy couldn't help but release a strained voice in her embarrassment as she hurriedly withdrew whilst covering her face in hands as if trying to hide from him.

"Well… that was an intrusting wake-up…" Nathan couldn't help but mention as he rolled over to better hide his own face that he couldn't help but itch before covering his lips with his spare hand. A few moments passed before the two could bring themselves to look back at one another with their faces still beat red. "Merry Christmas." Nathan finally managed to say with a strained smile, getting one in return from Wendy.

"Merry Christmas." Wendy returned with a shy smile before silence once again took over causing them to sink back down slightly. Yet despite the awkwardness, it did present Nathan with the perfect opportunity to take in Wendy's appearance, something that she could feel his gaze on her as she shifted under it.

"Those are the same hairclips I got you for your birthday, right?" Nathan then asked as he noted the winglike attachments that she had.

"Mhm." Wendy simply hummed in response with a nod of her head.

"You look beautiful…" Nathan said, managing to get the words out despite his embarrassment, igniting another wave of embarrassment between the pair.

"Thank you…" Wendy replied as she couldn't hide the wide smile that spread across her face as she couldn't suppress the happiness and sense of contentless that lay in heart at the simply comment. "I'll be waiting downstairs, ok?" she continued as she started to stand up, getting ready to leave.

"Alright, I won't be long. I'm sure that you wanna open your present soon, right?" Nathan replied as he started to get out of bed.

"Yeah, but…" Wendy started to say until she turned away in a bashful manner to Nathan's confusion to her continued behaviour.

"But?" Nathan questioned.

"It's nothing!" Wendy quickly blurted out before escaping the room, leaving Nathan in confusion at her sudden actions before he shook off the thought, continuing to get changed. There was the likely chance that she had been thinking of something embarrassing again.

"But since she woke me up like that… was she thinking of doing something else again?" Nathan couldn't help but continue to ponder as he got changed, his own face starting to turn red at the thought. 'I wouldn't have thought it at first but… Is Wendy slightly assertive?' he thought to himself whilst remembering just how she had woken him up just moments ago…

He was going to need to get some kind of edge against her before things continued too much…

"Merry Christmas!" Nathan called out again as he made himself downstairs, turning straight into the living room to see Wendy and Carla sitting down together on the sofa that was facing a fireplace where only embers were left, yet despite their dying state they still provided a reasonable amount of heat.

"Merry Christmas!" Wendy and Carla cheered back with a smile as they faced the person whom they had been waiting for.

"We've been waiting you know." Carla then added on still with a warm smile. "Even on a day like Christmas, you can manage to take things at your own pace."

"I wouldn't say as much as usual…" Nathan replied as he threw a glanced towards Wendy who picked it up, knowing just what he was talking about much to her embarrassment again as she turned away whilst Carla didn't manage to notice this, remaining confused about what Nathan had said.

"Well, let's open our presents! The guild is helping out at the cathedral for the Christmas celebrations today, I don't think that we should be late for it!" Wendy then said with a forced voice as she got up, hurrying over to the tree where a small bundle of presents lay of which each of the three had taken the time to buy and wrap so that everyone received a gift from each other.

"You certainly have gotten eager again, child." Carla noted whilst she hopped down from the sofa to walk on over to the base of the christmas tree, already looking for and picking out the first of her gifts despite her words.

"I think you're holding back slightly yourself." Nathan mentioned as he then joined the two girls', accepting the present that was held out to him by Wendy with a smile, the present giving way slightly to his own wight whilst the feel of it made it undeniably a piece of clothing. "Thank you, Wendy," Nathan said with a smile to Wendy's gratitude before he began to tear into the wrapping.

It didn't take long at all for Nathan to remove the wrapping, instantly revealing it to be a blue and white scarf that felt incredibly soft to the touch that he could feel his hands melting into already. It didn't take him long to wrap it around his neck, enjoying the new wave of warmth that it supplied his neck before being unable to resist melting into it in bliss.

"So do you like it then?" Wendy asked with a smile, already able to tell from the mere expression on his face.

"It's amazing…" Nathan replied in an incredibly drowsy voice that made it sound as if he was about to fall asleep on the spot.

"We certainly thought it was comfortable as well, but I wouldn't think you would start acting like that," Carla said as she joined in watching Nathan's reaction with an easy smile.

"If you were balled up in this then I'm sure you would fall asleep as well." Nathan returned as he cracked open his eyes again before he reached out, grabbing another one of the remaining two presents before sending it over to Carla for her to open not even saying anything but merely prompting her to open it with a glance.

Taking the prompt did Carla unwrap her gift, quickly revealing it to be a large box of tea leaves of multiple different kinds making Carla's eyes briefly widen before a smile once again settled onto her face.

"You've always enjoyed your tea, but you've also always stuck to Darjeeling, so we thought that maybe you would enjoy a whole tea set and maybe you'll find another favourite you would like. It does have Darjeeling in there as well." Wendy explained with a smile as she looked down the exceed.

"Thank you very much, I'm sure that I'll be enjoying this for the rest of the week," Carla replied, already beginning to open the box as she took a peek inside to see whatever range of different types of tea that box contained. "But you should get to open yours now, Nathan certainly put some effort into it."

"You did? What did you get me?" Wendy wondered as she reached out for the remaining box under the tree, taking off the wrapping in one fell stroke revealing a rather smooth wooden box that Wendy then pulled open, popping off the top to reveal a metal bracelet that was in the shape of a dragon that was biting onto a rainbow peal whilst its eyes were brilliant blue jews. "Oh wow! I love it, but how much did it cost?" Wendy couldn't help but ask as she carefully lifted the bracelet out to admire its full beauty.

"Despite appearances, not much actually," Nathan replied much to the shock of Wendy who clearly looked like she wanted some kind of explanation from the sheer disbelief that was on her face. "I managed to make a deal so that I would gather all the materials for it and hand it over, I only paid for the service to have it made."

"Do you remember the day that I said that there was something urgent that came up, and never really explained about but apologised when I was gone for most of the day?" Nathan continued sparking realisation in Wendy's mind.

"This is what you were doing the whole of that day?" Wendy replied as she remembered the day clearly. It had been a little over a week ago when Nathan had suddenly shot off leaving her behind, something that after all the time they had spent together had left her feeling rather lonely and endlessly curious about what would cause the god slayer to take off so suddenly and dutifully.

"Well, the first trip was actually to Gajeel. I figured his iron wouldn't be something to break easily especially when treated properly so the majority of the band was easy. The gems I had actually run over to a certain area of the sea and swam down, the clams there have those pears. It was something I heard from the locals." Nathan started to explain as he looked at the finished product of his efforts, alongside Wendy's shocked expressions of the pure effort that he had gone through for her.

"I love it! It's amazing!" Wendy said again as she slipped it onto her wrist with ease before admiring it all over again before her mood started sinking slightly. "But, if you did all this for me then I should have tried a little harder for you… I tried thinking as much as I could but you're actually someone really hard to go shopping for…" Wendy said with a worried frown.

"There's nothing to worry about, I'm plenty happy with what you got me!" Nathan frantically replied as he sidled up to her side, trying to cheer her up. "If anything, it's sorta my fault for being so hard to get something for. But who said that I need a physical present?"

"What do you mean?" Wendy asked as she started to look back up.

"Well, I'm saying that if you really still think you're gift is inadequate, there is the rest of the day that we will be spending together… I think I'm a simple person at the end of the day, I don't need much to be happy." Nathan continued. "But what I do need, I could never let it go." He added on whist wrapping his arms around Wendy to embrace her to empathise his point much to her shock before she soon reciprocated it…

"Well, I'm glad that you two are enjoying yourselves so much this morning then." Carla said with a sigh, already resealing her tea set for later use as she moved it aside. "We should eat soon in order to meet everyone at the cathedral."

"Ah, right!" Wendy replied as she came back into realisation, remembering everything else that was happening that day for them. "Shall we make breakfast then?" Wendy asked as she pulled away from Nathan slightly with a smile.

"Sure." Nathan simply replied as he got to his feet first before helping pull Wendy's to hers before they made their way into the kitchen to make something together to eat, marking a happy start to their day.

Break

After what had been an enjoyable breakfast between the three quickly left the house in coats and scarfs and began walking through the snow-covered streets of Magnolia hand in hand with smiles on their faces as they made their way to the cathedral. As they walked along there were plenty of people that noticed the young couple and smiled at the regular sight that they had become, some occasionally called out to the pair, wishing them a merry Christmas with a smile whilst others happily asked if the Fairies were holding another one of their Christmas services again.

There were plenty of children running about as well without a care in the world, some running to shops that were decorated with Christmas lights as selling various related goods as well whilst there were others that were trying to have their fun in the snow, making various snow sculptures or engaging in snowball fights.

Wendy and Carla couldn't help but smile with a stifled giggle at the sight of the kids having fun whilst Nathan simply looked on plenty amused at all the ongoings around them. And it was more than just the people but the whole town itself had become a magical sight to set their eyes on as nearly every building went wonderfully decorated and lit up for the festive season.

It most mostly silent between the couple however as they continued to walk through the magical sight that the streets were, but it was a comfortable silence that somehow added to the enjoyment of the walk. Neither of them wanted to say anything that would break the moment, instead simply taking in the sights that presented themselves whilst enjoying the touch of their interlocking hands.

"Hello, you three!" Mira immediately called out to them with her usual cheery smile as she noticed the group beginning to arrive. "I see that you're enjoying your Christmas together!" she said as they continued to walk over, making their way past a few people that had already started to form a crowd around what was the centre place of the town.

"Hello, Mira!" Wendy replied with a faint amount of blush on her cheeks as they approached the bartender.

"Is everyone already starting to decorate?" Nathan asked as he looked around, noticing all the boxes full of decorations that were laid out before the entrance to the cathedral.

"Not quite, we're just waiting on Elfman to put the tree up!" Mira soon replied before a grunt was suddenly heard, alongside the distinct sound of the rustling of countless leaf's getting the group to turn towards the source, noticing the man the hour steadily walking through the area as people parted for him, allowing way for the tree to make its way through. "You're nearly there!" Mira cheered as she watched her brother slowly make his way over with the tree that looked like it weighed far too much for a single man to ever hope to carry.

"He can carry all of that?!" Nathan couldn't help but exclaim at the sigh of Elfman now putting the tree down and starting to stand it up tall, the massive brute of a man struggling to do so, yet despite the fact, everyone simply continued to cheer on.

"This is what… it means… to be a real man!" Elfmen yelled out through his strenuous efforts as with one more yell of pure effort he managed to somehow push the tree to be standing completely upright, much to the massive cheers of everyone around. "You should try to be like one too! And I'l help ya!"

"Um, no thanks, I think my strengths lie elsewhere than pure power…" Nathan replied with slightly awkwardness, not quite knowing what would have been the perfect reply to the situation.

"Well, now that the tree is up we can all start to decorate it!" Wendy cheerily said whilst Carla nodded from within her grasp.

"It'll be just like the one that we back home," Carla mentioned.

"Only just like ten times bigger," Nathan added on with a smile before the three moved towards the decorations, already getting ready to help out the rest of their guildmates that were crowded around the tree, placing various different decorations on.

"Elfman, I'm sure that everyone would be grateful if you could move the statues about so we could clean around them. I'll be handing out some gifts to the children soon." Mira was heard saying at the three left, picking up whatever decorations there were to grab.

"Maybe it would be best if you did the lights Carla, or maybe you could Nathan?" Wendy suggested as she reached into the box where most of the lights were stored, holding out a strand of them.

"Sure, there's not too much on the tree already which means there's little risk of knocking anything off," Nathan said, accepting the lights whilst looking up at the tree where people were actually having to put up tall ladders against the tree to have any hope of reaching the higher levels of it, yet even then they still didn't seem like they had a chance of reaching the top. "While I'm at it, pass me the star, I should be able to pop that on top."

"And just how are you planning on doing that?" Carla could help but ask whilst Wendy happily handed over what was commonly viewed as the most important part of the tree.

"Just watch, it'll be quick." Nathan quickly replied as he turned around, his attitude already putting Carla into a slight state of alarm as she could already guess that he was going to do something risky but there was no time to stop him as the moment he had the full bundle of lights in hand with the star in the other he was already off.

As a mere blur, he activated his magic shooting from his spot as he raced towards the tree kicking off a bit of wind as he left. Within moments he began racing around the tree as a glittering golden blur that had the onlookers enamoured whilst he spiralled around the tree whilst racing higher and higher towards the peak. Carla could only look on in shock whilst Wendy couldn't help but marvel at the sight alongside the many kids that had begun to arrive before Nathan finally reached the top, shooting back down the bottom in a fraction of a second the moment that he was done, a trail of glowing lights remaining from where he had travelled which lit the whole tree, topped off with the star.

"That was amazing Nathan! Maybe you should try putting on the tinsel as well!" Wendy exclaimed as Nathan swiftly returned to her side.

"But he easily could have knocked someone off like that, or some of the decorations that were already on the tree! You should take a little bit more time than that!" Carla shouted as she flew to be beside them at an equal level.

"Aww… but he looked so pretty…" A voice suddenly said from behind the group, making them turn around to see just who was talking to them only to see a whole group of kids that were looking back at them all seemingly disheartened upon hearing what Carla had just shouted.

"He was all sparkly and shiny…" Another kid said with a downcast expression.

"Please Mr?" A little girl asked with puppy eyes from the middle of the crow, leaving the group rather stunned at the attention they had received whilst Carla suddenly looked conflicted despite trying to keep a firm face against the children.

"Alright then, just one more time otherwise the kitty will get too upset." Nathan eventually replied to the hoard of children, much to their joy as they cheer in response.

"You've become rather popular now!" Wendy said with a smile whilst she reached into another box, grabbing a starting amount of tinsel for Nathan to use of the tree, not giving Carla the chance to interrupt her, not that she could bring herself to say anything in front of all the now excited children that were readily watching in anticipation.

"They just want a light show, it is Christmas after all." Nathan replied, accepting the tinsel from Wendy and adding it to his own.

"Then maybe you should just try to give them some kind of display instead of spending your time running around the tree so quickly. It would be better than giving them some kind of idea's like that." Carla finally managed to reply, whilst hoping that the proposed idea was enough to not cause much disappointment.

"Then maybe he should join me and Mira in handing out some presents to the children later, I'm sure that they'll enjoy watching him while they're waiting for their turn," Levy suggested as she walked up with a box of baubles. "Aside from that and the tree, the only other thing that there is to be done is cleaning up the whole of the cathedral."

"Between your speed and your light magic, it sounds like you would be rather helpful at everything there is, if only you didn't introduce new risks when doing so," Carla mentioned whilst picking up yet another box of decorations.

"Too bad there's only one of me." Nathan nonchalantly replied as he turned towards the tree again.

"At least try to be careful when you're doing that…" Carla mentioned, only managing to get a simple not in return before Nathan shot off again, one again racing around the tree whilst working his way up before coming back down and grabbing more tinsel to apply before racing around the tree again in record time.

All the while everyone who was stood around the tree simply patiently waited for him, enjoying the sight of what was akin to a glittering comet flying around and all over the tree whilst the tinsel that was left behind shined slightly from the light that they reflected.

"Wow!" the children said in chorus as they all looked upwards at the tree with stars in their eyes, the sight of them alone was enough to earn some smiles and laughs from the adults that admired them.

"If only it was night, then this really would look amazing!" Levy commented whilst she stood back with Wendy and Carla as part of the group of people that were waiting for Nathan to be done with the tinsel on the tree, enjoying the sight that was him rushing around as a mere blur of light. "Hey, how are you three planning on spending your christmas after this? Do you have any plans?" she then asked as she turned to Wendy and Carla.

"Um, not really. What about you Levy?" Wendy replied.

"Everyone is thinking about having a party at Lu's place again like last year! It's just that this year I thought that maybe you might have wanted to spend your Christmas with Nathan." Levy answered with a grin and slight chuckle, gently nudging Wendy as she did so, making the younger girl turn slightly red as she understood what Levy has hinted at with her.

"Levy…" Wendy couldn't help but pout in response as she turned away from the cheery bookworm

"But it is your first Christmas together!" Levy cheered back in response before calming down. "But if you don't have any plan's, it's still fine if you want to come and celebrate with us."

"Thank you very much, It would be great to be able to celebrate with everyone again, and I'm sure that Nathan would like it as well!" Wendy replied with a brilliant smile, much to Levy's own happiness until a strong wind blew against them suddenly, snapping them out of their reverie, and the start the cheers of the children behind them as Nathan finally returned.

"See, flawlessly done and nothing went wrong," Nathan said with a proud smile as he looked back on his work to see that now the tree was decorated with the tinsel and lights already.

"It's good that it wall worked out this time, but you would most certainly knock off baubles and other decorations if you do that anymore," Carla mentioned as she flew closer to him again. "Besides, is there some enjoyment to be found in everyone taking their time with this?"

"I suppose your right," Nathan replied, now admiring the sight of various different people coming together at the tree with all different boxes of decorations to be put upon it, some of the adults helping their kids as well giving them a chance to assist with the tree.

"So Nathan?" Levy then called out, gathering his attention-getting him to turn around to notice the bookworm of the guild standing before a large group of children. "Would you mind doing some more for them?" she asked with a hopeful smile on her face.

"You've certainly become popular with them haven't you?" Carla couldn't help but comment at the sight of all the kids whilst Wendy couldn't help but slightly giggle.

"The guild does this to give back for the town's generosity, I'm sure that this would also be viewed as giving something back!" Wendy added on with a smile. "Everyone else will likely have the cathedral covered and people are enjoying decorating the tree. We'd also like watching you as well."

"If it wasn't already hard enough to turn down some kids, you have to go and make it even harder," Nathan said with a slight sigh as he continued to think about it. "I haven't really performed at all before, but if it's what people want…" Nathan continued to say with a somewhat heavy mood which voiced all his thoughts about publicly doing something like it.

"I don't see why your hesitating now," Carla mentioned.

"That's because before I wasn't actively doing it to show off, it was just a job." Nathan countered.

"Please Nathan?" Wendy pleaded with puppy eyes before an idea flashed in her mind. "If you do… I don't mind rewarding you…" she then added on with flushed cheeks, her words adding more devastation to the display leaving with a sense of hesitance that they just couldn't turn down.

"Well… alright then…" Nathan finally replied as he turned away from Wendy to start walking over to the kids that were already giving him their full attention in anticipation, clearly fully expectant for the Fairy Tail wizard to continue performing different things for them.

"Rewarding him huh?" Levy repeated with a smug smile which only made Wendy turn even redder.

"It was only to motive him!" Wendy desperately replied for her defence before she grabbed a few ornaments before making her way towards the tree, hiding her face all the while.

"Sorry, sorry, but now that you have said it you should try to uphold it. He did give in because you mentioned it after all!" Levy quickly tried apologising as she aimed to keep up with the sky dragon, not getting a response back from her before she started climbing up a ladder to ascend the tree leaving Levy behind whilst Carla made sure to keep by her side.

For the rest of the day, everyone soon found themselves settling into their different roles with little fighting between the members, something that could have been argued as a Christmas miracle as the reason for it likely was the fact that it was Christmas. Between Mira and Levy handing out different pouches of cookies to all the kids that lined up for them whilst Nathan made use of his light to before a light show to keep everyone in the centre of town entertained.

Some members of the guild continued to work on the public Christmas tree for the whole town which had included Wendy and Carla whilst they were also assisted by the few odd members of the tower that had wished to join in with the celebrations.

But it was the majority of the guild that had been given the laboursome task of cleaning up every little bit of the cathedral that they could all under the master's orders, whilst Cana was the sole member of the guild who managed to get away with doing nothing, instead being simply drinking partner for the master, but no one treated it any differently to how things went every day at the guild.

Before long the day had turned to night as people began to start coming and going in smaller groups, many people have returned home for their own celebrations whilst there were others who still continued to walk around with their families to enjoy the festive season and all the decorations that had been set up for it.

"We're finally done!" Wendy cheerily said as she and Carla approached Nathan once again who had been resting on a step at the entrance of the cathedral after having entertained countless people for the majority of the day. His light shows having only become increasingly popular the darker it had become towards the end of the day from how it lit up the night sky as a beautiful spectacle.

"Good job," Nathan replied as he looked over at the approaching girls.

"How are you feeling? You ended up doing that for a lot more people than we expected…" Wendy asked as she finally closed the distance between them, taking Nathan's hand as he stood up.

"I think I started to get used to it in the end, I did have to take a few breaks to eat some light to regain my magic, especially since I had to use my dragon gods mode to actually make my light pretty for everyone." He answered with a sigh as he recalled all the times he felt like he had run his magic rather dry from excessive use. "But, doesn't that mean I get some kind of reward now?" he then asked, getting Wendy to flinch as she remembered her own words from earlier in the day.

"Hey, Wendy, Nathan, Carla!" A voice suddenly called out, much to Wendy's relief, as they all turned around to see just who had been calling for the three of them only to see the large group of team Natsu, whilst being accompanied by Levy, Gajeel and Juvia.

"You said that you would join us for Christmas, didn't you?" Levy said as they approached, the bunch of them with smiling faces whilst Erza, in particular, was taking the chance to wear something outside of her norm, a Santa dress to match the festive season, despite how cold it looked for the current weather outdoors.

"Mhm, Christmas is surely something to be celebrated together!" Erza said with a firm nod, convinced with her own words.

"Wait, when did you agree on that?" Nathan asked in confusion as he turned back to Wendy and Carla, waiting for either of them to answer him. "Was that when I was doing the tree at the beginning? Levy was with you then."

"That's right, she asked if we had any plans and invited us to join them. I thought you wouldn't mind… do you?" Wendy explained with a hopeful look on her face.

"Why would I? If anything I'm just worrying that I might kill the mood slightly." Nathan quickly replied, waving off Wendy's evident concerns whilst sparking amusement in the rest of the onlookers.

"What are you talking about? It's Christmas! There's nothing to worry about, it's just celebrating the new year with everyone!" Lucy cut in with a beaming smile.

"Gihe, I thought you weren't the type to worry about anything?" Gajeel quipped with a grin as he leaned on Levy who simply accepted the wight of the iron dragon, allowing it for the intimacy that it gave.

"Come on! We're all heading to Lucy's house!" Natsu then cheered as he lead the charge ahead, everyone cheering in response as they followed after leaving just Lucy by herself in a stunning shock, unable to do anything but watch the back of the mob of people that were now making their way for her apartment.

"Why is it always my home?!" She couldn't help but cry out before hurrying after the group, making sure that they didn't get too far ahead as to risk a mess generating there whilst she was yet to arrive herself, knowing that just her door and manners were never anything to keep anyone from the guild out…

Little time was wasted by the group the moment they had all made it past the door as they flooded into Lucy's apartment, a room that while had plenty of space for a person did become slightly cramped when used to try and host an entire party the size that it was, but it didn't stop anyone from getting comfortable whilst they broke out a wide range of food and pure alcoholic drinks.

"Merry Christmas!" Everyone cheered once everyone had gotten a glass for themselves, lifting their drinks to the air from wherever they were sat, for those that were close to each other they happily clinked their glasses together.

What followed was everyone breaking out into smiles and mostly separate conversations as they acted carefree as could be, whilst there wasn't even the faintest sign of anything even beginning to go wrong.

"I don't think I would have seen the day where Natsu and Gray would have been able to act like that without breaking into a fight." Nathan couldn't help but comment at the sight of the two older mages happily putting arms around each other's necks with grins on their faces whilst drinking or food in their other free hands.

"Everyone in the guild gets along, just in different ways and on Christmas everyone enjoys themselves without fighting. Natsu and Gray have always gotten along that well." Wendy replied from beside him from where they were sat, namely being on Lucy's bed. It didn't take long for Nathan to end up sitting on the bed like it was just another chair or sofa and no one particularly cared either and naturally it wasn't long before Wendy had made the decision to join him.

"But Carla's completely enjoying herself now, isn't she?" Wendy then said, guiding Nathan's attention over to the table where Carla was sitting with Happy excitedly talking to her about something whilst Carla was eagerly paying attention to whatever the blue cat had to say with a smile on his face all the while.

"She'll try denying all later when the party is over or try to find some kind of excuse. Maybe we should push her to keep spending more time with Happy." Nathan replied.

"I know that she pushed us at times but I don't think that we should that forceful with her," Wendy said before taking a sip of the sake that they had been given before recoiling slightly from the drink.

"Now that I think about it, can you handle alcohol? I've never seen you drink any before, which makes sense." Nathan mentioned as he noticed Wendy's reaction to the drink before having some of his own perfectly fine. "I could see you being a lightweight rather easily."

"You don't know any of that!" Wendy quickly replied in embarrassment before continuing to drink more from her glass with little hesitation much to Nathan's amusement of her reaction to his teasing. "But you don't drink that much either!" she then countered back.

"Doesn't mean that I have to be a natural lightweight." Nathan returned with a smile getting Wendy to pout in return before Nathan started to turn thoughtful.

"Is something wrong?" She couldn't help but ask at the sudden change in behaviour from him.

"Not really, I was just wondering that maybe I have had alcohol and parties before, but I just don't remember them anymore."

"I don't think it matter's too much when it comes to drinking, you reverted from how you were then back to how you are now, right?" Wendy asked.

"I guess so, but at the same time even though I know everything that happened finally, it doesn't quite make it feel any less strange about the idea that I used to be older…" Nathan said before shaking off his thoughts, having more of his sake before saying any more. "It doesn't matter in the end though, right? It's Christmas now, and that's all that's should matter."

"Right! Merry Christmas!" Wendy said with a slight giggle as she joined him in drinking again, still recoiling slightly from the taste of alcohol that she still wasn't quite used to, something that she knew to be because of how scarcely rare she ever did drink, with it always being whenever there as a party of some kind as it was mostly pushed upon her then.

"And, didn't you promise me some kind of reward?" Nathan then asked Wendy's completely shock that nearly made her spit out her drink from the sudden reminder.

"Hey!" Wendy exclaimed as she looked at him with a beat red face as Nathan was doing his best to suppress his own blush before she went quiet again for a few moments. "Just… could you wait until we get back home…" she asked in a hushed voice as she could barely face him yet again leading him to remain speechless at the sight, only able to nod and hum in response, after not having expected getting a serious answer from…

No one could say how long it had been since the party had started, all the boys knew that it had finally gone too far. Natsu, Gray, Gajeel, Happy and Pantherlily were all lined up in pure shock and horror as they looked upon what was a scene that they all dreaded too much.

"Who let the woman drink to much again…" Gray grumbled in a whisper as they beheld the people that had become their adversaries.

"Wasn't someone suppose to be watching Erza this time?" Lily then asked as he tried to remain calm and logical about the situation.

"Nathan doesn't realise the situation at all…" Natsu added on as he spied the sole member of the guy's that were still calm, something which was only possible through blissful ignorance whilst he still remained on the bed with a drunk Wendy.

"We're leaving." Natsu and Gray said in unison, whilst the rest simply dittoed it in thoughts as they all turned to the door, ready to make their escape whilst being done with the party for the night whilst most certainly not being ready to take on the immense challenge that was drunk women. Just it was in that same moment the challenge made it known that it wasn't something to be so easily escaped…

"Where do you think your going?!" Erza suddenly yelled out as a sword went flying past, firmly implanting itself in the door as a firm warning to anyone who was making their way towards it. But the boys didn't even have the luxury of time to panic as they were already jumped upon by the others.

"My darling Gray was trying to leave me!" Juvia cried out with a flooding stream of tears as she desperately clung to Gray with a vice grip that wouldn't ever let him go sending him collapsing to the ground with the water mage on top of him, not showing any sign of letting him go whilst he struggled for help.

"Hahahaha!" Levy laughed as she came over and ended up pulling on Gajeel's hear much to his displeasure. "Hey, why is your hair so long Gajeel?" Levy managed to ask between snickers as seemingly anything and everything had become something amusing to her rendering Gajeel completely clueless on how to handle her at all.

Natsu could do little but panic as he looked around the room, noticing that the last of his allies had already been taken down as Happy and Lily was already reduced to little more than slaves for Carla who was riding on Happy's back whilst forcing Lily around the place, carrying out various orders of hers that clearly held no purpose at all.

And it wasn't much longer before Natsu found himself pulled into the thick of things himself by none other than Lucy. Meanwhile, Nathan was bewildered and confused at the whole situation from his position, still on the bed with Wendy now clinging to him in a daze as she was barely able to hold herself together.

"What… what happened to everyone?" Nathan could help but ask no one in particular from under his breath as he looked around at the mayhem that was going on around him and how each and every person had so rapidly fallen during the night. Each of the other girls had easily become more than just a handful, whilst Erza had seemingly become a full-blown threat, but it had made him somehow relieved that he only had to deal with Wendy who in her sleepy state was by far the easiest.

"Nathan…" Wendy wearily said as she slumped against him with her face beat red, her eyes almost spinning whilst her body was devoid of strength, resulting in Nathan having to support her full weight as she was pressed against him, much to his flaring embarrassment. "You can't… leave me…" she groggily said, her voice sounding almost as if she was in a trance.

"I'm right here through…" Nathan replied as he held onto her firmly as if to reassure his presence to her.

"Ahhh… there are so many of you… all around me…" Wendy continued to talk mostly to herself whilst she looked up, focusing on Nathan with dazed eyes whilst a dopy grin found its way onto her face before she snuggled into his chest as her breaths became slower and steady.

"Wendy? Wendy?" Nathan couldn't help but call out to her after she had remained still for a little while, nudging her as he spoke only to get no reaction from her at all. Eventually, he lifted her face up slightly only to confirm his suspicions that had begun to arise with the sight of her calm sleeping face. "So, you really are an incredible lightweight…" Nathan could help but sigh with a smile as he tried to lay Wendy down on the bed to properly rest.

But even that simple task soon proved to be a problem as almost instinctively did Wendy suddenly reach out for him, not allowing for her to be separated from him even in her sleep as she showed visible discomfort at any attempts that Nathan at trying to peel her off of him.

"No…" Wendy mumbled as Nathan continued to try and lay her down properly.

'But how does she even know? Is she sleeping or not?' Nathan couldn't help but think to himself until he felt himself suddenly getting shoved from behind so that he was no longer sitting on the bed himself but rather laying down on it with Wendy.

"Hahaha! Your so shy, Nathan! You get so embarrassed for Wendy!" Levy laughed from behind, making herself known to be the shoving culprit from her drunken state. Ultimately it was something that he would have immediately tried to set right yet despite her sleepiness Wendy once again proved herself to be surprisingly aware of her surroundings as she took the chance that had been presented with joy.

Wasting no time did she completely cling to Nathan in joy as she shuffled herself to lay on top of him, completely preventing him from getting up or escaping the situation if he didn't want to start getting rough with her.

"Hey, Wendy?!" Nathan exclaimed as he tried to keep up with what was going on, his face getting redder by the moment whilst Wendy remained perfectly content, even enjoying the situation as she further snuggled against his chest, the redness of her cheeks only coming from her drunken state.

Meanwhile watching them was Erza who was growing more and more increasingly upset. And it wasn't just from watching Nathan and Wendy, no matter who else she looked at, everyone was mostly acting in pairs whilst she went as the one member of the party to be left on her own. All the boys could already tell from the sight of her that if left alone then there would be nothing but hell to pay for it, yet there was no one capable of getting to her, nor knowing what to do to calm her down either.

From where she sat, she was akin to a storm cloud that was brewing, building and getting closer to the moment from where everything would be unleashed, releasing a torrent of chaos that people would have little choice but to simply try and ride out.

"Everyone is so close again…" Erza grumbled to herself, setting off alarm bells for the guys. "Even Wendy now is spending all her time with Nathan, while I'm…" she continued.

"This is your fault now kid." Gajeel then quipped as he looked over the room to where Nathan was still struggling to get out of Wendy's grasp, his words much to his shock.

"How is this my fault?!" Nathan exclaimed back.

"Erza's bad enough when drunk, now she's going to be even worse!" Gray pointed out.

"We're gonna die, we're seriously gonna die!" Natsu kept exclaiming in horror whilst a drunk, cat-like Lucy kept affectionately rubbing her cheek against his, fully pressing her assets against him without shame not that Natsu was at all the kind to care about it in the slightest.

"You've gotta be exaggerating right?" Nathan replied but the three men only slowly shook their heads in response, telling Nathan everything that he needed to know about the situation that they were all faced with.

"That's enough!" Erza then finally yelled out as she slammed a large, empty bottle of sake against the table causing a large bang that got everyone's attention whilst making the guys break out into a nervous sweat. "We'll start playing this now!" she continued to proclaim whilst slamming down yet another little pot that was filled with sicks.

"Master's game?" Nathan slowly repeated as he looked upon the sticks, already able to read the individual markings that they all had.

"Exactly!" Erza answered with a prideful puff of her chest whilst the rest of the men all looked to be experiencing some kind of PTSD with the sheer amount of horror that appeared on their faces.

"There was a reason restrictions were put in place during Wendy's birthday…" Gray grumbled as he looked at the sticks, knowing the hell that was coming and that there was no way of avoiding.

"Yay! Party games!" Lucy cheered in response alongside the rest of the women that quickly gathered around the table eagerly, with the exception of Wendy who continued to rest on the bed with Nathan under her and in her arms, until she began to stir again.

"Hmmm?" Wendy hummed as her eyes cracked open again, once again taking in the appearance of the world around her before noticing who she was laying on top of where she froze for a few moments, simply looking at Nathan whilst he stared back, simply waiting to see how she would react until another smile spread across her face as she once again tightly hugged herself to his chest.

"Hey, gather around the table, we're all playing!" Erza yelled out at the sight whilst Nathan could only sigh at the response that had been triggered, his feeling of embarrassment having numbed slightly from how long Wendy had already been clinging to him without shame.

"We're coming, we're coming!" Was all Nathan could say whilst prompting Wendy to get off him again, much to her dismay as she began pouting again yet at the same time she allowed the action for the first time as they got off the bed and joined the rest by the table, even if Wendy was still holding onto his arm in refusal to separate.

"Alright! Now we shall begin!" Erza said with a triumphant smile once everyone was settled down, signalling the start of the game as everyone reached in for their sticks before pulling back out.

"I'm the master." Nathan casually revealed as he spun around his stick, received a rather mild reaction from everyone as they calmly awaited whatever their orders would be whilst Nathan pondered just what he would tell people to do. "Um, numbers 3 and 11 should go to opposite ends of the room, spin around 20 times and then try to grab hold of one another."

"What kind of order is that?" Gajeel couldn't help but ask whilst Nathan shrugged in shoulders in response.

"I don't know what to order, I just thought the sight of it would be funny." Nathan calmly replied whilst Juvia and Lily had started getting to their feet, having been the two numbers called out as they got to their positions before beginning to carry out their order.

Juvia didn't even manage to complete 13 spins before she collapsed to the ground in complete disorientation whilst Lily barely managed the number, yet still didn't seem to far from falling over himself before he started stumbling throughout the room, tripping up on various things whilst Juiva tried getting up before immediately almost falling straight into everyone else that was sitting down.

The sight of the two stumbling around the place like complete fools was easily enough to get all of the other girls laughing whilst Natsu and Happy also found some amusement in the sight, but before long, the two dizzy individuals, at last, managed to touch, making the end of their order.

Once again were the sticks returned to the pot and shaken around before being pulled again, this time the king becoming a much more unforgiving master…

"I'm the master!" Erza proclaimed with joy, while the men went dead in response. "Number 3 and number 5 need to strip!" She said almost with pride whilst the rest of the room went silent in pure shock, shock that was even enough to help sober up the woman slightly to bring them back to reason.

It had only been driven home when Natsu and Gajeel had swiftly removed their clothes as her the orders of the drunk Titania, neither of them willing to argue in fear of whatever kind of punishment they could potentially find themselves facing. The sight of the two naked men was enough to further shock the moment closer back to being soberer, each of them recognizing not only that it had actually happened to someone, but that it could have happened to any of them as well.

Yet despite everyone's common feelings on the game already, no one could say anything to the Titania as even the slightest word of complaint was enough for Erza to bring out a sword, slamming it into the ground before threatening whoever had dared to speak against her.

"I'm the master again!" Erza called out to everyone's extended horror. "Now number 7 and 9 should take bath together!" she then shouted out, to Lucy and Levy's slight embarrassment as they revealed their numbers to their slight relief of whom they would be bathing with whilst no one missed out on the sound of Erza clicking her tongue in annoyance, clearly having been hoping for better results.

'Just what is her issue?!' Nathan couldn't but pounder in his mind whilst the two-woman left the room to the bathroom whilst everyone did little more than wait, only the sound of running water and some splashed between the two occupants filling the area until they finally came back into the room with little changed about them aside from their now dampened hair.

Everyone could already tell the kinds of dangerous calls that Erza was calling out and forcing on people, and no one was exactly comfortable with it, and neither did they have what it took to put a stop to it either. But each and every person, with a certain dragon slayer, had building anxieties and growing disdain of the game. They knew that there was plenty of reason why they were against the game, but there was another growing feeling of rage that they couldn't help but feel slightly shocked that they had started to feel so strongly…

And in the next round, they began to snap…

"My turn again!" Erza cheered out as an 'Eep' could almost be heard. "Number 4 and number 8 must kiss! For a minute straight!"

In response to the mentioned order, the two numbers slowly began to turn around and reveal their sticks for their roles, the mentioned people being Nathan and Carla who for a few seconds could only stare at one another in shock and awkwardness whilst Wendy who sat between them was filled with an overwhelming frustration and infuriation unlike she had ever felt before in her life.

"Now this awkward and weird on multiple levels…" Nathan couldn't help but comment as he looked down at Carla whilst Happy had tears in his eyes at the turnout of events.

"I guess I can understand where you are coming from… I suppose that that would make things slightly better." Carla replied with a heavy sigh before briefly being covered in light as she grew in size and changed in shape, quickly turning into a human girl.

"You now transformation magic?" Nathan couldn't help but ask at the sight.

"Yes I do, but right now we should just get this over with…" Carla said, doing her best to simply push through the moment whilst hiding the blush on her face from the act that they were being forced into whilst at the same time she couldn't hold back a sense of disappointment. An emotion that soon turned to shock, however.

"YOU CAN'T!" Wendy suddenly exclaimed as she forced her way between the two before tightly holding onto Nathan as she forced Carla away to everyone's shock. "He's mine! He's, my boyfriend! He's my… mate…" she continued to argue further pushing everyone into silence, the intensity of her voice being enough to even keep Erza quiet.

"H-Hey… Wendy, are you still a bit drunk?" Nathan finally asked, breaking the silence whilst fighting through his embarrassment, but he didn't get an answer from her as she continued to be almost glaring at Carla, something that he thought he would never see her doing every. The only people that even seemed to have a remote idea of what was going on were Natsu and Gajeel who couldn't help but exchange a questioning glance to one another, looking for confirmation to their thought about what they were witnessing.

"Erza, maybe sub out number 4 for number 11…" Nathan slowly suggested, snapping the scarlet knight of her own shock, whilst shocking everyone else again when she actually nodded in agreement.

"Number 11 then." Erza calmly stated as if trying to regain herself whilst sparking excitement in another.

"Aye, sir!" Happy cheered whilst holding up his stick to be known.

"This is almost too coincidental…" Carla couldn't help but murmur as she changed back into her true exceed form whilst Happy now cheerily approached her making her blush increase tenfold.

"Your right, I read the sticks when everyone pulled." Nathan quickly quipped, much to Carla pure shock but she wasn't given a chance to voice anything as Happy had already arrived to begin kissing her for the designated minute. It was something that Nathan would have easily seen himself smirking about and would likely look back on the moment proudly, yet it was nothing that he felt in the moment as he found himself tending to Wendy, having to calm her down again, keeping her by his side.

"I will make sure to get back at you later…" Carla said with a huff, not looking all that upset as she was embarrassed once the time was finally up and Happy had returned to his place, looking rather pleased for once.

"I'm the master!" Erza proclaimed yet another time whilst everyone began praying yet again. "This time 1 and 3 need to rub themselves against 10!"

"I got called again…" Nathan said in a crummy voice as he held up his stick, revealing himself to be number 10, something that made Wendy jolt all over again at the revelation.

"NO! He's mine!" Wendy suddenly shouted out again, silencing the room as everyone clearly heard her words, stopping whoever were the other called people from even revealing themselves as everyone went quiet again, only able to watch as Wendy began to cling to Nathan again desperately in the attempt to keep in all her herself.

"Maybe… we should just go home more today…" Nathan eventually suggested as he began to grip Wendy back, aiming to give her some kind of comfort. His suggestion and escape from the rest of the party games were something that no one really objected to as they couldn't keep their minds off the unique way that Wendy had reacted…

Wendy had refused to part from Nathan at all since the last order that had been called out by Erza, and true to Nathan's suggestion, the pair had left soon after and were making their way through the snow-covered streets of the town back home.

For a rare twist, Carla had actually declined coming back home with the pair, leaving them on their own making the claim that it was likely better for them to be left that way, at least until Wendy had calmed down from whatever was making her stir so dramatically, and it was a decision that Gajeel had actually supported her in, even going as far as to say that it would have been unwise.

That alone had left Nathan confused at the events but he didn't try to refute it, after all, it did seem to be that there was some kind of truth to it…

"Sorry Wendy…" Nathan eventually said, breaking the silence between the pair as they walked hand in hand and quickly gather her attention due to shock. "I didn't realise you were such the jealous type…"

"Oh! No, I mean… I'm sorry…" Wendy replied as she looked down at the ground, almost ashamed of herself. "I really don't know what came over me… I just felt…" she said, trying to find something to say before giving up entirely. "You don't like me like this do you…"

"Why would you think that?!" Nathan exclaimed the moment he heard the outrageous claim.

"Because I get so jealous like that! I don't think I've ever gotten so upset before… I even glared at Carla, but it was all just a game…" Wendy continued to explain, still not able to look up and meet Nathan's eyes while she wallowed in her own shame, leaving Nathan to think about it.

"Well… believe it or not, I don't actually mind that much…" Nathan eventually responded to Wendy's hidden interest. "I mean, it was justified. I was about to kiss another girl, and then two other people pressed up against me…"

"I didn't like even the thought either, I didn't want to do it so I'm glad that you somehow managed to break it up even if was Erza ordering it. I don't mind you getting jealous one bit… in fact, maybe I liked it a bit…"

"Huh?" Wendy softly said in complete confusion, finally looking back at Nathan in bewilderment. "You… liked it?"

"Well, it would have hurt if you didn't care about me enough to get jealous over something like that…" Nathan replied with red cheeks.

"I see…" Wendy quietly replied with a faint smile that her scarf covered up for her until an idea came to her mind. "So… If I was about to kiss someone else… then you would feel the same?"

"Of course…" Nathan quickly replied with a slightly deeper voice whilst Wendy could feel the grip on her hand had increased, alongside Nathan's tension and aura that came with it. "Even just thinking about it… I can't stand it…"

"I see…" Wendy said with another smile before leaning in closer. "Then I'm glad. And I'll only ever be with you, ok?" she said with a beaming smile, shocking Nathan slightly from her bravery with what he thought to be an embarrassing line.

"Likewise…" Nathan replied as his blush increased. "You aren't completely sobber yet, are you?" he then asked.

"Maybe not…" Wendy said as she looked on, noticing their house that was nearing insight, growing the more steps that they took. "I did promise you a reward earlier, didn't I?" she then said, gathering Nathan's attention.

"Do I finally get to hear what it is?"

"In a little bit…"

That night, once they had taken a shower and returned to their rooms Nathan had been left wondering just what his reward was going to be, and when he would receive it. Carla was yet to return, but it was likely that she simply was staying over at Lucy's with how long the party could go on for if they hadn't ruined it before leaving.

But he was soon snapped from his thoughts as his door began to open, leaving him shocked when Wendy had entered the room, hugging a pillow in her pyjama's as she nervously entered the room, the blush on her face being nicely covered by the general darkness of the room.

"Wendy?" Nathan called out in confusion whilst she continued to approach him and the bed.

"This is your surprise…" Wendy quietly said.

"You want to sleep with me?" Nathan asked, getting a nod in return. "You know that when you wake up in the morning and your completely sober, your likely going to die in embarrassment right?"

"Maybe… But we have slept together like this when you first joined the guild because of Mira… and those two times when we slept in the Northern Desert…" Wendy weakly argued back. "Can't I?" she then asked in a voice so soft that it was positively cheating.

"Sure thing…" Nathan managed to respond whilst moving over, giving her some space to join him and set down her own pillow as she got under the covers. "Is this still about your jealousy?" Nathan then asked after a few moments of silence between the pair.

"Maybe…" Wendy replied again as she clutched the covers for some comfort for the embarrassment that she was already feeling, giving Nathan a sense of amusement at her actions and adorableness before he gathered up his confidence with the aim to help soothe her heart.

"Then goodnight…" He gently said before leaning over discreetly enough to kiss her on the lips before pulling back. For a moment Wendy was on fire from the gesture whilst she flailed in bed before calming down, glancing over at Nathan whilst a smile graced her warm lips.

"Goodnight…" she eventually replied, finally allowing sleep to claim her…
