Numbuh 86 was running from a ton of Senior Citi-Zombies she was shooting without even looking at the crowd of Zombies chasing her "I can't… take it anymore… there are too many…" Fanny said as she reached a closed steel door and started banging on it "LET ME IN, IT'S NUMBUH 86, LET ME IN!"
The door was quickly open Patton merged from it shooting the zombies with a Mattress Bazooka he grabbed her hand and brought her inside as he locked the steel door again "Thanks for busting my hiding spot from those things Fulbright" Patton said as he grabbed a T.O.A.S.T.E.R
"Hiding? shouldn't you be fighting? it's hell out there you know that?" She said while sitting on a bench nearby to rest
"I'm no use to the KND as a Senior Citi-Zombie" he said as they hear a loud bang in the door
"Hey you two… Why are you being such brats!" They could hear Rachel's voice behind the door, she clearly was a Zombie now "You are the worst operatives I've ever met you know that?"
Patton sighed "The vents are too dangerous with the number of hamsters…" he looked around the room they were currently in, it was a lounge with tons of chairs and tables, it had air hockey tables and arcade machines as well but no clear exit "Alright… we make our last stand here" he said as he opened a cabinet and took several heavy weapons from it
"Now you are talking" Fanny got up from the bench she was resting and grabbed a F.R.A.P.P.E
They started barring the door with the chairs and tables while using the rest to build a large pile of objects so they could stay in the high ground inside the room, they placed the weapons on top of the pile of objects and waited as they heard the loud bangs from the zombies
"Hey… since this is probably our last moments together… I love you…" Patton said blushing while aiming at the door
Fanny looked a bit surprised at him while blushing "Great… now you are making me nervous…" she said smiling at him as the door started being pried open by Rachel while a crowd of zombies stuck their arms outside the door "I love you too"
As the door was knocked down they started shooting, Rachel stayed behind the crowd of Zombies as Fanny and Patton shot at the hoard of zombies trying to climb the pile of tables and chairs they stood there trying to fend off the zombies until all weapons in the closet were completely depleted
"Well that's it" Patton said as he threw his last weapon at the crowd, the zombies were still climbing the pile after everything the two operatives shot at them "Well… You only live once" he turned to Fanny who was looking desperately at the zombies and grabbed her head, turning her attention to him as he kissed her passionately on top of the pile of objects
"Hmmm…" Fanny pushed him aside panting "You have a lot of courage I give you that" she smiled at him and kissed him back
While they were kissing they heard the sound of someone landing right next to them, It was Rachel she looked at them with her toothless zombie creepy smile "How precious, To be young again" she said as she grabbed them both by their heads and immediately transformed the two in Senior Citi-Zombies
They both followed Rachel after that while holding each other's hand
A few hours later Numbuh 86 woke up below a bunch of debris not knowing where she was, she groaned "My head…" she started pushing over the debris she was in until she found her way outside, she then saw the moonbase destroyed right in front of the delightful mansion "Ugh… the amount of paperwork this will take…" she brought her palm to her face while laying on top of the wreckage
"You okay?" Patton sat right next to her handing her a bottle of water
"Just a few bruises, you?" She asked him while opening the bottle and taking a sip from it
"I will live" he said, they both stared at the villains getting their asses beat amid the moonbase's wreckage, they stood there in silence blushing for a few minutes
"Hey… that thing you said before we turned into zombies, does it still stand or…" She looked at him blushing
"Only if you want to…" he blushed a little
"Hey you two, are you alright? you seem a bit red, you have a fever?" Rachel looked at the two, she had just finished talking to Numbuh 1
"We… are okay Sir, ready for work" Fanny smiled at her a bit nervous
"Yeah… about that, Numbuh 86, the decommissioning chamber is still working but it seems the technicians will have to take a look at it since it could be dangerous, we also postponed all decommissionings for obvious reasons…" she looked at a clipboard "Numbuh 60, we have a lot of Villains to arrest now, the other operatives are taking care of it but I need you in Arctic to oversee the transport to their cells, Numbuh 86 could you help him with it? I know you must be tired but we are working on a tight schedule here and some operatives haven't been found yet on the wreckage" she looked at Fanny a bit worried
Fanny smiled at Rachel "Yes, Sir" she looked absolutely ecstatic
Rachel looked at her a bit confused but decided to ignore her reaction and just be glad that she decided to help with no complaints "The provisory central command is in Sector V, contact me there if you need anything" before she could wave them goodbye she saw Numbuh 1 walking his father and his grandfather through the wreckage back to their house, Rachel sighed while looking at Numbuh 1
"Huh, not so threatening now" Patton said looking at Grandfather
"So that is Numbuh 0? I thought he would be thinner" Fanny said while looking at Monty
Rachel waved them goodbye and approached the Uno family "Uhhh… It's a pleasure to meet you Sir, I'm Nigel's friend he talks a lot about you" Rachel shook Monty Uno's hand a bit nervous
"Oh what a good lass" He shook her hand shaking her along with it due to his strength "This here is my Papi, he came to visit all of a sudden, he and his surprises you know what I mean young one?" Monty looked at her smiling in his usual way
"I… guess so" Rachel looked at Grandfather a bit scared "I-Its a pleasure Sir" she looked at him a bit tense
"Now who is this fine lass? Is Nigel in that phase of having a girlfriend?" Grandfather smiled innocently asking his son
Rachel and Nigel blushed at his remark "I-I'm just a friend Sir" she smiled at him a bit awkwardly while they helped the two get through the wreckage
While that, Fanny and Patton finished resting and went to a Scamper that took them to Arctic base, they stayed there signing papers for inmates and watching over some of the villains responsible for the grandfather crisis the rest of the day, after they were finished Fanny went to Patton's office inside the base, she sighed a bit exhausted "You do this every day?"
"Not in this intensity" Patton said before pouring hot chocolate on a mug for him
Fanny picked his thermos and poured some in a mug for her too "So, can we finally talk about what happened in Moonbase?"
"Sure…" he said before sipping a bit of his hot chocolate "If you wanna break up I understand, It was way too sudden maybe it was the moment that made you say those things" he said
"What? No! I'm glad you confessed, It wasn't a moment thing, I really love you" she sat on top of his desk "I would love to kiss you again, without any zombies this time to interrupt us" she chuckled
Patton let out a sigh of relief "Thank God" he said as he pulled her closer and kissed her, Fanny was on top of his desk while Patton sat on his chair, he placed his hand behind her head caressing her hair "I could get used to this…" he chuckled
"Me too" she chuckled with him as she kissed him again, they were both chuckling at each other from time to time making remarks about each other's appearance "You kiss very well" she said
"You aren't so bad yourself for someone who hates boys" he grinned at her
"Yeah… I can learn to love at least one, that's my limit though" she chuckled
"Good, I'm not the type that shares" he grinned at her before kissing her passionately again as she laughed at his remark
Suddenly the door to his office opened. It was Rachel "Hey guys, thanks for dealing with- AH!" Rachel dropped her clipboard and let out a yelp in surprise as she saw her two friends kissing, they both stopped when they heard their leader
"S-Sir!" We can explain!" Fanny pushed Patton aside and left the top of his desk while standing in front of her Leader and friend
"N-No, I was the one who barged in without knocking, it's my fault" Rachel smiled at them both feeling a bit awkward "I… just wanted to see how you two were doing but… it seems there was nothing to worry about, work is basically done, most villains are imprisoned and it seems you two are getting along just fine" a painful silence hanged in the room after Rachel finished talking "I… have to go…" Rachel grabbed her clipboard and bolted out of the room as she closed the door and returned to her vehicle in a hurry
"I will talk to her tomorrow, sorry about it" Fanny said while returning to Patton
"Thanks… that was awkward" Patton sat back in his chair and yawned "I'm exhausted, you wanna sleep?"
"Yeah… preferably snuggled with you in a blanket" she grinned at him
He smiled at her "I will see to it, come here" Patton said as Fanny sat on his lap and kissed him on the lips, he then got up and picked a blanket as he laid on a couch "sorry for not being a bed, my bed is the same room as the other operatives" he said
"At least your office has a couch, we would have to sleep in the desk if it was my office over at moonbase" she said while laying next to him
"Your feet are cold…" Patton said as he tangled his legs along her legs
"Well… we are in arctic" she said while hugging him
"It's not as bad" he chuckled
"I didn't say it was bad" she grinned at him and proceeded to kiss him, the couple drifted off to sleep soon after
Fanny was the first to wake up in the morning, she took out her clothes and started dressing herself in fresh clothes she brought over since she expected to spend the night at arctic
Patton had just woke up, Fanny was putting on her skirt, she still had no clothes from the waist up but she had her back turned at Patton, he then noticed her yellow rainbow monkey panties and chuckled "I didn't know you liked Rainbow Monkeys"
She got a bit startled and flustered upon hearing him knowing where he was staring before pulling up her skirt and then spoke up "They are cute, you are pretty at best" she chuckled "Also, no staring, it makes you look like a creep" she said in a more serious tone a bit embarrassed as she put on her sweater
"Sorry…" he said as he got up from the couch and started fixing his bed hair "You are going to the Provisional Central command now?"
"That would be for the best… I still don't know how I will face her" she sighed
"It will be fine, contact me if anything happens and I will come straight away" he said while tying his shoes
"It won't be necessary" she kissed him before leaving arctic base, a few minutes later she arrived at Sector V's treehouse which was being used as a provisional base for central command, it was chaos inside after all most treehouses still smelled like tapioca and moonbase was still destroyed impeding lots of operations, she noticed Rachel was sitting in what usually was Numbuh 1's spot right on Sector V mission debriefing hall
Rachel waved at Fanny telling her to come closer, after Fanny approached her Rachel looked at her friend "Hey…" she smiled at her still feeling a bit awkward
"Hey…" she also felt a bit awkward, she looked around the house, she saw the members of Sector V running around helping everyone, even Numbuh 4 was helping, Numbuh 1 wasn't around though "Where is Numbuh 1?" she keeps looking around trying to find the leader of sector V
"He went fishing with his Father, I mean he kinda deserves a moment with him after yesterday" Rachel smiled at Fanny "The decommissioning chamber won't be in full operation for at least another month, I would like for you to overseer the disassembly of the moonbase if possible" Rachel gave a few files to Fanny
"Thanks… Uh… look I'm sorry for yesterday" Fanny smiled awkwardly at Rachel
Rachel chuckled "Finally you decided to talk about it, thanks I didn't want to bring it up first" she grinned at her friend "There is no rule against it in the Kids next Door don't worry about punishment" she laughed "But yeah, I'm a bit angry but not at you two, just at myself" her expression got a bit sad suddenly as they walked around the treehouse
"With yourself? Why?" Numbuh 86 looked at her confused
"Maybe… I thought I would be able to confess to Nigel first than everyone… now I see I was wrong" Rachel leaned over a catwalk and sighed
"Oh…" Fanny leaned over the catwalk right next to Rachel "Well, he confessed to me when we were about to be transformed into old zombie people, I can't really help you with that given my experience with confessing but… he seems pretty nice, for a boy, of course, Numbuh 1 I mean, just go ahead and try it" Fanny said
"Yeah… I will remember that… get to work, I need to solve some stuff" Rachel looked at the sky a bit melancholic
"Alright… if you need someone to listen to you just call me over" she smiled at Rachel and left the girl alone looking over the catwalk
Rachel sighed "So unbelievably pathetic" she said to herself "What a leader…"
"Talking to yourself girl?" Numbuh 5 rested a bottle of cold soda against Rachel's cheek with one hand while she drank another bottle with the other hand
"Just a bit depressed" she said while grabbing the bottle and opening it
"You okay? Numbuh 5 can help?" Abby said while resting on the catwalk with Rachel
"Well…" Rachel sighed "First of all I'm just plainly an idiot, if Numbuh 1 listened to me we all would be zombies making tapioca by now"
"True, but hey if it weren't for the birthday suits you told Numbuh 2 to fix it would be way worse for us, don't put too much pressure on yourself, you look like Numbuh 1, he always does that" Abigail chuckled
"Thanks… there is also the problem with Fanny…" Rachel proceeded to explain what she saw in Patton's office yesterday and the talk she had earlier with Fanny
Abby started to laugh after her explanation ended "Fanny and Camo pants sitting in a tree…" she kept snickering
Rachel couldn't help but let out a little giggle as well
"So you wanna date Numbuh 1 huh?" Numbuh 5 asked her with a grin on her face
"Yeah… I'm a bit frustrated that even though I got far more opportunities to confess to him the ones who got to date first were the two most stubborn people I know" she sighed again
Numbuh 5 started laughing again "Numbuh 5 didn't know it was such a dumb reason" she snickered "Just ask him out, I know the boy, he is also head over heels for you after he broke up with the crazy one"
"How can you be so sure?" Rachel asked her blushing a bit
"Just trust someone who spends almost every day with him" Numbuh 5 grinned at Rachel and left to take care of other stuff
Rachel kept looking over the roofs from the nearby houses a bit bored, they wouldn't need her until late into the night since everyone was busy with something now "Silence at least…" she smiled but was soon interrupted by two approaching operatives
"Why are you being a meanie? I just wanna know what happened after I got transformed into a zombie" Numbuh 3 was following Numbuh 4 as they passed by the catwalk Rachel was relaxing
"Nothing you need to know, the past stays in the past" Numbuh 4 said while blushing
"You just wanna leave me in the dark to tease me" Numbuh 3 said in an angry tone before leaving the balcony crying
"God I hate myself" Numbuh 4 said while bringing his hand to his face
"That makes two of us" Rachel said while looking at Numbuh 4 "Love problems?"
"You already know, don't you?" Numbuh 4 rested his back on the balcony blushing
"I… saw a transmission with you two kissing" she smiled at him
"What about you?" Numbuh 4 looked at her "I don't know what passes through this girly head of yours but it seems you aren't doing better yourself" he crossed his arms
Numbuhs 86 and 60 are dating and… that made me question if I should confess to your leader" she sighed "I don't even know why I'm talking this with you, you probably are the last person from his sector I should be taking advice" she lowered her head looking at Numbuh 1's house
"You're right… Wait, did you just say Numbuh 86 is dating a boy?" Wally asked her confused
She sighed "Yeah… she is" Rachel then proceeded to explain what happened yesterday
"Woah…" Wally whistled "Crazy… You know what? Thanks, knowing Numbuh 60 isn't dead boosted my confidence, I'm gonna tell Kuki what happened, thanks for the advice" Numbuh 4 waved her goodbye
"But I didn't give you any…" she then gave up on trying to explain and just groaned at his stupidity
