A few minutes later after talking to Rachel, Numbuh 4 was headed for Numbuh 3's room while some operatives greeted him, their bedrooms were off-limits for the other operatives so he expected at least a bit of privacy, he barged in Numbuh 3's room "Hey kooks? I decided to…"
Numbuh 3 was changing herself. She had just pulled her leggings up and had her back turned to the door so Wally didn't see a thing "GET OUT!" she covered her chest with one arm while throwing a hairbrush at him, Numbuh 4 dodged it and left the room
"S-Sorry!" he said outside the room while holding his chest in one hand feeling his heart beating like crazy while resting his back next to her door
"I need to put a real door in this room…" she said while putting on her usual green shirt she then blushed "D-did you see anything?"
"No…" he said in a bit of a disappointed tone
"You sound disappointed" she giggled "You can come in now" she said while poking her head out of the curtains that led to her room looking at a blushing Numbuh 4
"Thanks…" Numbuh 4 entered her room and sat in a pile of plushies
"So what you decided?" she looked at him with a curious look
"I… decided to tell you how I got turned… but you have to swear you won't get mad" Numbuh 4 said
Numbuh 3 looked at him a bit worried "I could never get mad at you silly" she giggled returning to her usual cheerful way
"Alright so… what do you remember to begin with?" Numbuh 4 blushed while looking at her
"Let me see… The hamsters were transformed into zombies, they jumped at me and then… nothing" she looked at him while trying to squeeze any more information out of her brain to no avail
"Alright so… after you got transformed you followed me inside a closet so we could hide from Numbuh 5 and the hamsters and after that well…" Numbuh 4 started blushing and scratched the back of his head "You… asked me to kiss you"
Numbuh 3 blushed while looking at the floor in shame "Oh…" Numbuh 3 also scratched the back of her head, they were both blushing now "Did we…"
"Yeah… at first I rejected you but well… yeah I agreed to kiss you in the end, then Numbuh 5 opened the door, you were in your zombie form, you grabbed my head and kissed me by force… sorry" he tried looking away so he could not see the face Numbuh 3 was making
"But… it was my fault, I should be the one saying sorry silly" she giggled still blushing "thanks for telling me" Kuki smiled at Numbuh 4 "We should head back, there is still work to be done" she had a bit of an embarrassed tone to her voice like she wanted to get out of there
"W-Wait!" Numbuh 4 grabbed her arm blushing
"What?" she looked at him blushing
"Is it okay if we… do it again?" Numbuh 4 tried not to look in her eyes at that moment
"Well…" she smiled still a bit unsure "It would be pretty awkward if we only kissed as zombies but…" she looked at him a bit puzzled
"What?" he looked at her worried
"Numbuh 4… No, Wally, Do you like LIKE me?" she was red as a tomato now smiling at him
"You mean like… Love you?" Numbuh 4 looked at her also bright red in embarrassment
"Yeah… I know I do…" she paused for a few seconds recovering from just confessing to him "take your time to think about it" she got up preparing to leave her room
"No need to" Numbuh 4 grabbed her arm and pulled her close as she fell on his arms they both kissed while sitting on a pile of her plushies "I… love you too kooks" he blushed
"Meanie… I wasn't ready for that" she giggled and proceeded to kiss him back "So? is it better than my zombie form? she giggled
Numbuh 4 blushed "the lack of wrinkles and old people smell helps" he laughed
Numbuh 3 then blushed and smiled at him "Hey… I noticed you were a bit bummed out earlier… here" Numbuh 3 pulled down her leggings just a bit to show a bit of her panties, they were green with red rainbow monkeys printed all over them
Numbuh 4 then blushed, his face was a deep shade of red now "You are teasing me…" he said and then proceeded to kiss her again
she giggled "Sorry, you being disappointed earlier was just so cute" she pulled up her leggings again as they kept laughing and kissing for a long time
Suddenly Numbuh 2 barged in Numbuh 3's room "Numbuh 3 have you seen Numbuh 4 we need him to…" Numbuh 2 stopped dead in his tracks as he saw the two operatives kissing, they both stopped upon noticing they weren't alone, Numbuh 2 started snickering "Wally and Kuki sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G" he said as he left the room to share the news with Numbuh 5
"I really need a door" Kuki said while shaking her head
"Should we stop?" Numbuh 4 looked at her
"Hmmm… a few more seconds won't hurt" she smiled and kissed him again
It was by nighttime when Nigel arrived at his home with his dad, he hugged his father and went on his way to the treehouse to help Rachel and his friends with the troubles his Grandfather caused yesterday the first one he met was Numbuh 5 who was resting near the treehouse's entrance with Numbuh 2 while they both ate candy and talked while laughing "Hey guys" Nigel smiled at his friends
"Sup, how was it with your father?" Numbuh 5 asked him in her usual chill manner
"Ehhh… you know, it was fishing… not my favorite thing but it made him happy, how things have been while I was out?" Numbuh 1 took out his fishing jacket and threw it elsewhere
"Oh you will want to hear this one, Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 are a thing now" Numbuh 2 said snickering
Numbuh 1 smiled "I have to congratulate her and tease him later, how is Numbuh 362 doing? Are you guys helping her like I said?"
"Yeah… she is a bit depressed though, she could use some advice" Numbuh 5 smiled at him
"I will see to her right away, thanks for telling me Numbuh 5, I see you guys later" Numbuh 1 was off to find Rachel
On the way to the main hall Nigel found Numbuhs 3 and 4, they were both carrying some boxes filled with paperwork "Hey Numbuh 1" They both greeted their leader
"Hey, congratulations, I've heard from Numbuh 5" Numbuh 1 approached Numbuh 4 and whispered "It was about time huh?" he smiled at him
"Don't be a jerk" Numbuh 4 grinned at him while blushing and went on his way while Numbuh 3 followed him with her usual smile
"Have you guys seen Numbuh 362?" He asked them from across the hallway
"I think she went home already" Numbuh 4 said while leaving the hallway
About an hour later Rachel was in her room hugging a pillow while laying on her bed and watching KNN, her hair was a bit messy, she was waiting for dinner and was wearing her comfiest pajamas but was still feeling a bit sad "Thirsty…" she got up and left her room practically dragging herself, she heard her mother talking to someone on the door "Must be the neighbors…" that was what she thought
"She always talks so much about you, will you stay for dinner?" Her mother said
As she was going down the stairs she realized who was in the front door, Numbuh 1 was talking to her mother a bit embarrassed, Rachel jumped down the stairs in a flash "MOM!" That was the only thing she could say while blushing bright red desperate
"Oh Rachie, there you are, I was just talking about how you always…" before she could finish Rachel rushed to the door and grabbed Nigel's hand and took him outside to a park near her home
"What are you doing here?!" Rachel asked Numbuh 1 angry and blushing at him, that was when she noticed she was still wearing her Doctor time space and the continuums pajamas and tried covering herself
"Numbuh 5 told me you were a bit depressed, I got worried and picked the Roadstar to see how you were doing" Numbuh 1 said while sitting on a nearby bench
"Oh…" Rachel sat right next to him blushing a bit "It's just me being paranoid, don't worry"
"Rachel… Is everything alright?" Numbuh 1 said in a worried tone
She sighed in annoyance" "For starters? Everyone is talking behind my back saying how you would make a better supreme leader after you stopped Grandfather" she said while crossing her arms and blowing her bangs
"Sorry for that… I didn't mean to put this kind of pressure on you, just tell me who is saying this kind of stuff and I will ask them to stop immediately" Numbuh 1 said feeling guilty after learning about this
"Eh… I don't mind it that much, it is just one of the things that are piling up, there is also the fact that they are kinda right… I mean… If you followed my orders we would be making tapioca by now…" she sighed
"Does not matter, a mistake doesn't erase all the good stuff, these operatives are idiots" Numbuh 1 said
"Thanks" she chuckled "That helps a lot" she sighed "Then there is Numbuhs 86 and 60"
"What is it with them? Are they fighting again?" Numbuh 1 asked her
"On the contrary, they are a couple now, it seems Patton confessed to her just before they turned, he thought it would be his last moments with her" she chuckled "I barged in his office on Arctic yesterday and they were kissing like crazy, it was kinda nice" she snickered
"Wow… Numbuhs 86 and 60 are a couple…" he chuckled "She didn't kill him yet?"
"Amazing right?" Rachel laughed "But… well I was kinda sad after seeing them"
"Why? they still are your friends" Numbuh 1 said
"Well… I'm happy for them but… there is this boy…" she blushed
"Oh… I see" Numbuh 1 blushed and stopped smiling. His semblance was a serious one now "Is it someone I know?"
"Yeah… You could say that" she chuckled "He is brave, diligent, well mannered… he is a bit dense though, he is also an amazing sector leader"
"He must be great…" Numbuh 1 rested his elbow on the armrest of the bench a bit annoyed trying to not look at her
"He is…" she sighed "I really wanted to confess to him but… I don't know how he would respond… and he is so serious about his work… he looks like me sometimes… I don't know if he would accept me since it could interfere in his work" Rachel smiled a bit in melancholy
Numbuh 1 sighed "You don't say…"
"What would you do? Would you have a girlfriend from the kids next door?" Rachel asked him a bit worried
"Well… Sure" he blushed "I think it would be great… he must be a lucky guy to have someone amazing like you in love with him" he sighed again feeling a bit depressed
Rachel smiled at him "You think so? Thanks!"
"Don't worry about it… are you feeling better?" Numbuh 1 turned to face Rachel but he could only see her approaching him and hugging him with an iron grip
"I love you so much it hurts…" she started sobbing on his shoulder "I was so worried" she started crying
"The guy you like… is me?!" Numbuh 1 rubbed her back in shock
Rachel only nodded while her face was buried on his shoulder "Sorry I didn't tell you sooner, I'm a coward" she started bawling again
"W-What do you mean? This is amazing! I love you too, that is great!" Nigel smiled at her pushing her to get a look at her face, she was sniffing a lot while her eyes were a bit puffy from crying "You are no coward, It's perfectly normal to feel embarrassed" Numbuh 1 hugged her
She smiled at him while sobbing a little "I know I'm a bit gross right now but… Is it alright if we kiss?"
Nigel blushed "It's… more than alright" he said a bit nervous
Rachel wrapped her arms around his shoulders and kissed him, it was already dark, the only source of light was the white light from a lamp on top of their bench in the park, she stood there kissing for a few seconds enjoying her first kiss and then giggled after they finished. "That was amazing… Do you… wanna stay for dinner?" she smiled at him a bit nervous
"Maybe another day" Numbuh 1 kissed her back, staying with their lips locked again for a few seconds, Nigel then took her back to her home "I have to go, Dinner must be almost ready at home, can't be late… see you tomorrow"
"I look forward to it…" she gave him a last kiss "Take care" she waved him goodbye while he entered the Roadstar, they were both blushing but couldn't take their smiles off their faces
Her mother was watching everything from the window smiling at the two ecstatic, her father was a bit bummed but was happy nonetheless
"Sorry for rushing outside like that" Rachel passed by her mother
"It's okay honey, you two were very cute" her mother said
Rachel stopped dead in her tracks "Y-You saw that?"
"Of course, your father and I were worried so we waited for you while looking at the window" her mother said
"Dad knows?!" Rachel said in disbelief
Her dad then surged from the kitchen "I sure do, I would love to meet him, he looks like a fine boy, the sunglasses at night are a bit worrying though" he said while drinking a bottle of beer and heading to his armchair
"Great…" Rachel brought her hand to her face and went upstairs before entering her room she sighed and smiled "Well… Today was a great day" she opened the door to her room and laid on her bed, she then hugged her pillow and started rolling around the bed giggling in happiness "Rachel… Uno?" she giggled to herself blushing bright red with a dumb smile on her face
