Chapter 10: Game of cops and robbers

Diane drove along the quiet empty LA river until turning into the sewer pipe leading to the secret elevator of the hideout.

"Is this where your friends live?" Jet asked

"Yes. This is where they live." Diane answered

"In...a sewer?" Jet asked confused

"I know it looks pretty strange sweetie but trust me. This way leads to their home." Diane smiled as she continued driving until approaching the secret area where the large elevator was located

Meanwhile inside the hideout

Mr. Wolf and his friends were playing a little harmless game of cops and robbers to relive their old memories as bad guys for fun because why not. Wolf was wearing a black ski mask playing the role as the robber as he was peeking over the couch looking across the room. All the way across the room near the elevator door was a white display pedestal stand. On the stand sat a rubber toy bath dolphin spray painted gold to comically imitate the fancy golden dolphin that the bad guys tried to steal in the past.

"Check check this is bad dog to 8 legs. 8 legs do you copy." Wolf said putting a finger to his ear pretending to talk on a com

Far on Wolf's right, Tarantula was sitting on the stove top in the kitchen area and she was playing her signature role as the hacker except she was using a toy laptop instead of her real one.

"This is 8 legs reading you loud and clear bad dog." Tarantula replied also putting a hand up to her head

"8 legs I have eyes on the prize and I'm going to move right in on it so keep me covered." Wolf said

"No problem. Ready when you need me."

Wolf smoothly slips over the couch onto the floor and tip toes towards the dolphin like he was sneaking through a secure facility. Wolf tip toes until coming up to a few red ribbons strung up across the room blocking his way to imitate security lasers.

"Uh 8 legs I got some lasers here blocking my way. You think you can take em down for me." Wolf said

"Just sec. Beep boop beep boop." Tarantula pretended to type on her laptop before taking out large scissors to snip each ribbon causing them to fall to the floor

"And done. You're clear to proceed." Tarantula smiled

"Appreaciate it." Wolf said before proceeding to approach the pedestal with the toy dolphin

Finally wolf makes it to the dolphin "This is bad dog. I have reached the prize and I am picking it up right now." Wolf slowly moved his hands towards the dolphin

"Bad dog watch out for the sentry guns!" Tarantula shouted before pulling on a string triggering a few toy guns to fire a bunch of soft tip darts at Wolf

*PEW! PEW! PEW!*

"Huh!? WOAH!" Wolf leaps into the air flipping and flawlessly dodges the darts like an action movie hero before landing hard on the floor like a ninja

"8 legs are you serious?" Wolf asked in a pretend disappointed tone

"So sorry bad dog. Forgot to disable them. But you should be clear now. Just grab the dolphin and get out." Tarantula said with a cheeky smile

With that wolf picks up the toy golden dolphin and turns around to leave the pedestal but suddenly...

"FREEZE! STOP THIEF!" Mr. Shark suddenly shows up wearing a toy police badge and hat playing the role as the cop

"Ya got no where to run ya big bad wolf! Put down the dolphin at once!" Shark shouted in a deep tone imitating a police officer

"Oh boy you got me copper. Now I will be more than happy put down this fancy golden dolphin but you're gonna have to CATCH ME FIRST! Hahaha!" With that Wolf started playfully running around the hideout with Shark in pursuit

"This is officer sharky! I need backup right now!" Shark shouted pretending to talk on a radio as he ran after Wolf

Suddenly Mr Snake comes in also wearing a toy police hat.

"Backup has arrived! WeeWooWeeWoo!" Snake rapidly slithered up to Wolf and wrapped himself around the legs causing Wolf to abruptly stop and fall to the floor throwing the toy dolphin away in the process "WOAH! OOF!"

With Wolf now stopped in his tracks, Shark leaps on top of him pinning him to the floor like a pro wrestler.

"HAHAHA! We got you now ya big bad wolf!" Shark boasted with a victorious smile

"Yeah you're going away for a long time pal!" Snake added as he teasingly poked Wolf's head with his snake tail

"Oh fiddlesticks you guys got me. But you forgot about my little accomplice." Wolf smirked

"Huh? Accomplice?" Shark and snake said before looking up to see Piranha holding the toy dolphin while also wearing a black ski mask

"HAHA! I got the dolphin! I got the dolphin!" Piranha boasted in a sing song tone while jumping around victoriously

"Great Job Piranha!" Wolf praised

"No problem perro. I'll come by to bail you out of Jail later." Piranha smiled

"What the!? Say howcome we didn't know Wolf was gonna have a partner in this game?" Snake complained

"Hey I may not be a bad guy anymore but I still am unpredictable and tricky. Hehehe." Wolf giggled in glee

"Well Wolf I say this heist is accomplished since Piranha got away with the prize." Tarantula smiled as she hopped off the stove top and scuttled over to the group

Even though things turned out a little unexpected for Snake and Shark, everyone still shared a laugh all together because they all had fun with the game anyway.

*Ahem*

Everyone suddenly stopped laughing and looked up to see Diane Foxington standing right out of nowhere in front of them much to their surprise.
