Chapter 11: Jet meets the bad guys
Diane was standing with her hand on her hip while wearing a casual smug smile like she had been watching the whole time.
"What the? Say how'd you get in here chica?" Piranha asked as he dropped the toy dolphin and removed his ski mask
"Yeah how long were you standing there fox lady?" Snake added as he and Shark moved off of wolf to let him up
"How did I get in here? Pffft the elevator duh." Diane said in a smart alec tone
"Well well well Ms. Diane Foxington what a wonderful surprise it is to see you here." Wolf smiled as he walked up to Diane while also removing his ski mask revealing his darkish brownish furry face
"*giggles* Well hello there Wolf. Or should I say Mr. Oliver Poodleton." Diane smiled
"What? Do I have my disguise on today?" Wolf asked sarcastically
"*giggles* Come on bring it here." Diane smiled as she opened her arms
Wolf also opened his arms and embraced Diane. The two shared a big friendly greeting hug before seperating.
"It's great to see you again two my partner in crime. *gasp* Oh!" Diane looked down when something caught her eyes
5 seconds of silence
"...Isss there something wrong with me Diane?" Wolf asked confused
"Oh no not at all. It's just...you seem pretty happy to see me again." Diane smiled as she pointed down with her finger
"Huh?" Wolf looked behind himself and saw his tail aggressively wagging on its own again
"Oh Heck!" Wolf exclaims as he fruitlessly tries to grab his tail to stop it
Diane couldn't help but giggle at the sillyness until Wolf finally stopped his tail
"Hehehe Sorry I really need to get this fixed hehehehe." Wolf embarrassingly smiled while blushing
"Teehehe Oh Wolf it's okay to let your tail wag. No shame on hiding your emotions." Diane said with a bright smile
"Hehehe yeah right. Anyways Diane what brings you to our humble abode?" Wolf asked with a friendly attitude
"Well there are 2 reasons why I came here unannounced. Reason 1 is I wanted to see how my sly and charming wolf was doing." Diane said as she gave Wolf a playful pinch on the cheek
"Hehehe Oh just great i'm doing great. Still on my best behavior. Have not commited a single crime ever since me and the guys left prison." Wolf smiled
"That's wonderful to hear. And I see you're all having a little fun together." Diane said
"Oh yes we sure are. You see we were reminiscing the past and remembered how we used to have fun being bad guys so we decided to play a game where we pretend to be bad guys without actually being bad guys. Right guys?"
"That's right Wolf. Now I know how it feels to be Chief Luggins." Shark said as he tipped his police cap
"Well that's very nice. And pretty clever of you Wolf." Diane said
"Indeed. Now what's reason 2?" Wolf asked
"Well reason 2 of why i'm here is...I have a little surprise!" Diane said in a cheery singsong tone
"Wait! Did I just hear surprise?" Snake said perking up with curiosity and excitement
"Ooh a surprise? Me just love surprises!" Piranha added
"Surprise!? I heard surprise! Are we getting a year supply of push pops!?" Shark asked with excitement
"Okay I don't know why we're all getting hyped up here but i'm in." Tarantula said
Immediately the bad guys gathered around to hear Diane's surprise.
"Well come on Diane. Let's hear it." Wolf smiled
"Yeah come on! The tension is killing us here!" Snake added excitedly
"Okay okay guys just please calm down. Are you all ready?" Diane asked
"Yeah!" "Sure!" "We're ready!"
"Alright then. But please you all have to stay calm. Promise?" Diane instructed
"Don't worry we promise." Wolf assured softly
With that Diane turns around and walks back to the elevator. She pushes the button making the heavy duty doors open revealing the wolf pup inside.
"Are you ready sweetie?" Diane said as she knelt down to Jet and held out her hand
Jet looked at Wolf and his friends and already he had a nervous look on his face because they looked a bit scary to him.
"It's okay. Don't be scared. You can come and say hi. They are my friends. They won't hurt you." Diane whispered
Jet takes a deep breath and quickly builds up courage before holding Diane's hand and walking with her. The two walk up to the bad guys who all had surprised expressions on their faces.
"Everyone, I'd like you all to meet this cute little angel. His name is Jet." Diane introduced gesturing to the pup
"Huh? A kid? Well this day just got interesting." Snake said
"Ooooh A puppy!" Shark squealed
"Ah another wolf I see." Piranha smiled
"Oh so this is the surprise. A cute little wolf child. I love it!" Tarantula thought
Everyone immediately became awestruck upon seeing the small fluffy adorable wolf pup before them.
"Well well now what do we have here?" Wolf smiled as he knelt down to Jet
"Isn't he precious Wolf?" Diane smiled
"I say he sure is! It's like i'm seeing a mini version of myself. Except he's lighter grey and he does have white fluff here and there but still he's a handsome little fella." Wolf smiled brightly
"Ummm...H-Hello." Jet managed to say as he shyly waved at Wolf
"Well hello to you two kid. The names Wolf, Mr. Wolf and boy it is a great pleasure to meet a little guy like you." Wolf happily introduced himself as he took Jet's hand and shook it gently
Jet smiled a little upon seeing that Wolf was very friendly. Snake slithered up to introduce himself next.
"Hey there little pal. The name's Mr. Snake. Pleasure to meet ya." Snake said as he patted Jet on the shoulder with his tail
Shark and Piranha came up next.
"Hey there little kid! I'm Shark!" Shark waved
"Greetings my friend. The name is Piranha and i'm the crazy one around here. But not to worry. I don't bite." Piranha smiled as he also shook Jet's hand. Jet was surprised to see Piranha was the same height as him.
The bad guys all warmly greeted Jet with hand shakes, shoulder pats, and gentle ruffles on the head. Jet smiled happily as he was already warming up to Wolf and his friends. Diane smiled as she watched feeling glad that the meeting was going well so far.
"So this kid's name is Jet?" Snake asked
"That's right and he's 4 years old." Diane answered
"Well that's a cool name. It sounds a lot like fighter jet." Snake complimented
Finally Tarantula was ready to introduce herself next as she scuttled towards Jet. But right when Jet's eyes landed on her, he immediately freaked causing everyone to flinch.
"WAH! SPIDER!" Jet yelped as he quickly backed away towards Diane
"Huh? You alright there kid?" Taratula asked in concern as she scuttled a bit closer
Jet cowards away in fear while whimpering nervously.
"Woah woah it's okay it's okay!" Tarantula puts her hands up and tries to show Jet that she's friendly
Diane immediately knelt down and wrapped her arms around Jet. Jet quickly hides his face in her arms.
"Hey hey Jet relax it's okay. I know she's a spider but don't worry she's very friendly." Diane tried to assure Jet but to no avail
Tarantula looks over herself before asking "Uh Diane? Is there something wrong with me?"
"Well no offence Webs but Jet here...he has a thing for spiders." Diane stated
"Are you saying the kid's got arachnophobia?" Snake asked
"Well no not exactly." Diane said
"Well he's not the first one to be afraid of me. I know i'm on the creepy crawly list but I just wanna introduce myself and say hi." Tarantula said feeling a bit shamed
"Jet, sweetie she won't hurt you. She just wants to meet you. She's a friend two." Diane tried to assure again
"NO! I don't like spiders!" Jet cried while keeping his face hidden in Diane's embrace
"This is bad. I don't want him to be afraid of me. Like there has to be a way to make myself look less scary to him." Tarantula said in worry
"Hmmmm less scary...Ah! That's it!" Wolf came up with an idea
"What do you got Wolf?" Tarantula asked
"Say Webs there is actually a way to make you look less scary." Wolf smiled
"Oh yeah? What is it?" Tarantula asked with determination
"*clears throat* Say Shark, remember when Marmalade made us wear those ridiculous pajama outfits when we tried to rescue all those guinea pigs from that science lab building?" Wolf asked
"Uh yeah. What about them?" Shark asked
"Well I gotta admit those onesies did make us look less intimidating. And I know we still have them in our closet." Wolf said
Tarantula right away figured out what Wolf was planning.
"OH Nonononono I am not wearing that childish thing again!" Tarantula refused
"But Webs, it's the only way to make yourself presentable to the kid." Wolf encouraged
"Guys pretty please you have no idea how humiliated I felt wearing it on that day." Tarantula complained
"Pretty please do it Webs. Do it just for poor little Jet here." Diane softly pleaded as she kept on embracing Jet
Tarantula looked at Jet again and saw how he was still frightened that he wouldn't dare to look at her. And seeing that wearing the onesie was the only way to make Jet not be afriad of her, Tarantula eventually gave in.
"*sigh* Fine. Give me the costume." Tarantula groaned as she held out her hand
"Awesome! Be right back!" Wolf quickly runs away and comes back holding Tarantula's tiny baby blue kitty cat onesie with a striped tail
"You guys owe me for this." Taratula said as she takes the onesie and quickly slips it on herself fitting all her 8 legs through the sleeves
"Alright i'm ready now." Tarantula said
"Perfect. Alright Jet you can look now. It's okay." Diane gently releases her hold
Slowly and hesitantly Jet turns around expecting to see the creepy hairy red-knee tarantula but instead he got a more cuter sight. Tarantula in her cute little kitty onesie.
"Go ahead Webs. Let him have it." Wolf encouraged
"*deep breath* Okay ummm...Meow Meow Purrrrrrrrr *lick lick*" Tarantula started to act all cat like in her onesie and did a few cute things such as licking her hand and rolling on her back
Slowly a thin smile forms on Jet's face upon witnessing the cute spider.
"Oh my gosh he's smiling! This is working!" Tarantula thought
"Hey I see the smile coming back on the kid's face!" Wolf pointed out
"See Jet. She's not so bad." Diane smiled
"Teehehe That's a cute spider." Jet giggled
With a warm smile, Tarantula holds out her hands and gestures for Jet to come forward.
"Go ahead Jet. She wants to meet you." Diane encouraged
With that Jet slowly gets on his hands and knees and brings his face down close to Tarantula.
"Hey there kid. How do you do?" Tarantula greeted nicely as she gave a few friendly pats on Jet's nose
"Teehehe hello Ms. Spider." Jet smiled
"Actually kiddo my name is Tarantula."
"Taran-...what?" Jet asked not knowing how to pronounce it
"Okay tell you what you can call me Ms. Webs. That's easy for you."
"Teehehe okay. It's nice to meet you Ms. Webs." Jet gently nuzzles Tarantula with his black wolf nose
"Oh *giggles* It's nice to meet you two kid." Tarantula smiled as she hugged Jet's nose
Everyone dawwed at the wholesome interaction between the two. Diane felt relief in her heart now that Jet wasn't afraid of Tarantula anymore.
"Well Diane you never told me you had a little nephew. And he's a wolf just like me how surprising." Wolf brought up
Suddenly Diane frowned
"Uh uctaully Wolf he's not my nephew."
"What? He's not?" Wolf asked
