Numbuh 1 was carrying a suitcase while heading to his treehouse main hangar, it was Halloween night
"Can't believe they gave you a mission on Halloween night" Numbuh 2 said while wearing a detective costume
"Ah, these things happen Numbuh 2, it's something to do with an octopaddler factory" Numbuh 1 laughed it off
"We will make sure to get tons of candy for you" Numbuh 3 giggled she was wearing a wedding dress
"No need to Numbuh 3" Numbuh 1 smiled a bit nervous at her
Numbuh 5 raised an eyebrow at his expression but decided not to point it out, she was wearing a vampire outfit
Numbuh 1 got inside his Roadstar and left the treehouse in a hurry
"This is suspicious…" Numbuh 5 said scratching her chin
"What do you mean?" Numbuh 4 looked at her confused, he was wearing a pair of boxing shorts and boxing gloves
"There are no missions on Halloween, the people who give missions are trick or treating" Numbuh 5 said
"You aren't planning on ruining our trick or treating night just to spy on Numbuh 1 are you?" Numbuh 2 said "You of all people, you love candy" Numbuh 2 said
"I have a good feeling about it, come on" Numbuh 5 snickered at Numbuh 2
"We don't even know where he went to" Numbuh 4 said
Numbuh 5 smiled at Numbuh 2
Numbuh 2 sighed then grabbed a device from a workbench nearby "I have tracking devices for all our vehicles after what happened in the asparagus sea" Numbuh 2 sighed then pressed some button in the device "Huh, you were right" Numbuh 2 said a bit surprised
"What does it say?" Numbuh 3 tried to make sense of the device information
"It says here he is headed for a residential area, there are no factories or anything like that" Numbuh 2 said a bit surprised
"Told you" Numbuh 5 snickered "Let's follow it" Numbuh 5 and the rest of the team got in a stealth 2x4 ship and followed Numbuh 1's signal for a few minutes until he stopped near a nice looking home, the rest of his team hid behind a bush, they watched him leaving his Roadstar and going inside a bush with his briefcase, after a couple of minutes Numbuh 1 returned with a cowboy outfit
"No way… he is trick or treating without us" Numbuh 4 prepared to get up but was held down by Numbuh 5
"Shhh… Numbuh 5 has a good feeling about this, just sit back and watch" Abby said smirking
"What are you fools doing here?" A familiar voice came from behind them, they turned to see Numbuh 86 in a black and white prisoner costume, Numbuh 60 was behind her wearing a vampire outfit
"Nice costume" he smiled at Numbuh 5 who did the same
"Numbuh 1 is trick or treating without us for some reason, we decided to investigate" Numbuh 2 said "Why are you here?"
Numbuh 86's eyes went wide "Rachel said she was taking care of a few files and couldn't trick or treat today… But when we went to the moonbase to talk to her about something she wasn't there…" she suddenly heard the sound of a doorbell and hid in the bushes with the rest of the team along with Patton
Numbuh 1 was a bit nervous as he heard footsteps coming from inside, the door opened after a few seconds, Rachel was wearing a black and orange Saloon costume "Wow…"
"Nice reaction" Rachel chuckled then kissed him on the cheek "So? Did they suspect anything?"
"I think Numbuh 5 got suspicious but I wouldn't count on her missing a Halloween night, we are safe, What about you?" Numbuh 1 asked smiling at her as they left her home with trick or treating bags in their hands
"Numbuh 86 and 60 haven't got the slightest idea, they think I'm in moonbase right now" Rachel laughed
"The idea to have a first date on Halloween night was brilliant" Numbuh 1 said
"I figured it would be the only time of the year people wouldn't try bothering me about stupid things" Rachel said
"We could try going out in moonbase someday though…" Numbuh 1 said
"My office is always open" Rachel giggled as they kept talking while walking to their first house of the night
The six operatives were using some kind of 2x4 device to listen to the couple, they all wore headphones while Numbuh 2 pointed an antenna at Numbuh 1 and Numbuh 362's direction they were all chuckling among themselves behind a bush "This is almost as good as going trick or treating…" Numbuh 2 held his mouth trying to contain his laughter
"Numbuh 5 told you…" She said with a huge grin on her face
"So that's why she had so many reunions with Numbuh 1 recently…" Numbuh 86 tried her best to hold her laughter
"Shh… They are talking" Numbuh 3 said while blushing also giggling
"Three caramel bars each on the first house" Rachel laughed "I want some gummy bears…" she sighed
"I just want some Twizzlers for the night" Numbuh 1 said "By the way… do you wanna finish getting candy sooner so we can…" Numbuh 1 blushed
Rachel chuckled "I would love to" she gave him a quick kiss "Hey… I know this is a bit sudden but… would you like to sleep in my house today? J-Just so you don't have to eat all your candy to hide it from your team of course" she smiled at him a bit embarrassed
"I would need to call my parents but… sure" He kissed her back in response
"You will need to meet my parents though… Just be careful with them" She said a bit nervous as they approached the second house of the night
"Why? Are they villains or something?" Numbuh 1 asked now a bit worried
"They are… embarrassing" Numbuh 362 blushed
Numbuh 1 laughed "Don't worry, I have experience from home"
"You better have, because they don't know I have a boyfriend, and I'm not planning on saying you are just a friend to them" Rachel said
"Thanks" Numbuh 1 smiled at her "But… What about Numbuh 363, your brother"
"He already knows" Rachel said
"What?!" Numbuh 1 looked at her a bit scared
"If I learn from someone our secret got out and I find out it was him the first thing in the morning he will visit is Decommissioning Chamber" Rachel said in a dead-serious tone
Numbuh 1 shuddered a bit as he knocked on the door a bit afraid of Rachel now
"So I get to Decommission that pain in the ass she calls a brother?" Numbuh 86 started rubbing her hands together with an evil smile on her face
"I thought you didn't like decommissioning people" Numbuh 60 looked at her a bit weirded out
"There are exceptions" Numbuh 86 smiled "I would love to Decommission Numbuh 12 one day for example" She giggled in a creepy way
"Well… Numbuh 5 got her share of fun" Abby snickered then stretched herself "She is going trick or treating now, any of you coming?" Numbuh 5 asked
"You aren't going to listen to the rest of it?" Numbuh 4 raised an eyebrow
"Nah, I already learned they are dating, it is good enough for me" Numbuh 5 waved them goodbye
"W-Wait… I'm going with you" Numbuh 2 got up and followed Numbuh 5 blushing a bit
Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 looked at each other and blushed "We… are leaving as well…" Numbuh 3 smiled at Numbuh 86 and Numbuh 60, The two operatives got up and left
Numbuh 86 sighed then got up "I'm not spending Halloween night spying those two like a weirdo, you coming?" She extended her hand to him
Numbuh 60 grabbed it smiling at her "Yeah sure, you wanna eat them together later?" he asked while they left
Numbuh 86 blushed "We can share if you want…" She said very flusteredly
A few hours had passed, Rachel and Numbuh 1 were in a playground eating their candy inside a toy "So… when are we telling the others?" Numbuh 1 asked with a few Twizzlers dangling from his mouth
"Well I did say we could make it public after our first date…" she chuckled "What about tomorrow?"
"For real?" he asked as they got out of the toy and headed for her house
"Yeah, I just didn't want people bothering our first date, I think we can make it work out" Rachel said, a few minutes later she returned home with Numbuh 1 following right behind, she arrived in the living room, her parents were watching a Halloween special, Harvey was lying on the floor dressed as a pirate, he frowned at Numbuh 1 "Mom, Dad, I would like you two to meet Nigel, he is my boyfriend" Rachel was a bit nervous
"A pleasure to meet both of you…" Numbuh 1 was sweating cold in fear
Her parents got up and approached him smiling "Oh Rachel, he is nervous" Her mother said laughing "Did you say something to make him like that?" Her mother pinched Numbuh 1's cheek
"He looks strong like as an ox" Her father patted Numbuh 1 on the back, Numbuh 1 was pushed forward by the strength of his pats "And you two are matching costumes, that's amazing, I will go get a camera" Her father left the living room
Numbuh 1 approached Rachel "You weren't kidding…" Numbuh 1 whispered
Rachel whispered "I told you, they embarrass me every chance they have" she blushed "Don't mind them"
"You will love my parents" Numbuh 1 laughed
Her father had arrived with a camera "Say cheese" he said as he took a photo of both smiling a bit embarrassed
"Can he sleep here?" Numbuh 362 asked
Her parents looked at each other "Aren't you too young for it though?" Her mother asked smiling
Numbuh 362 face immediately turned in a deep shade of red she was about to blow a fuse when her father laughed at her reaction
"We are joking" he laughed a bit nervously patting her gently on the shoulder "Did you call your parents asking if it is okay?" he smiled at Numbuh 1
Numbuh 1 looked at Rachel as the girl tried calming herself by counting to ten and breathing slowly "I… will call them now" he smiled
"I… Will go to my room, see you later" she waved him goodbye while Numbuh 1 called home "Dad?"
"Nigel 'Ol Bean, it's so late, the candies must be out of this world" he laughed "Do you want me to go get you?" He asked
"Dad… I… I'm in my girlfriend's home, is it okay if I sleep in her house tonight?" Numbuh 1 was covering his face in embarrassment
"Just a second" His father yelled "Dear, you won't believe it, Nigel has a girlfriend and he wants to sleep in her home!" His father said
"Tell him I want to meet her as soon as possible!" His mother yelled from the porch, she was handing some candy to a few kids
"It's more than okay son, make sure to bring her home one of these days, we would love to meet her, I can't wait to show her my skills with the sousaphone" he laughed in anticipation
"T-Thanks Dad…" Numbuh 1 said already a bit nervous trying to picture the situation, suddenly his communicator got grabbed by Rachel's father
"Are you perhaps the Father of my little Rachie's boyfriend?" He asked "Yes, he is such a nice kid" Her father laughed "Oh we should meet one of these days, YOU PLAY THE SOUSAPHONE?! I PLAY THE EUPHONIUM" He said clearly very excited to talk with Numbuh 1's dad
Numbuh 1 groaned, already accepting the whole situation he went upstairs to Rachel's room, he opened the door only to find Rachel in her underwear grabbing her pajamas "S-Sorry…" Numbuh 1 started closing the door but Rachel stopped him and pulled him inside the room blushing a bit
Rachel smiled "You are my boyfriend, There is no need to leave" she laughed while pulling her pajama pants up then putting on her pajama shirt, it was a white and light blue pajama with a few Doctor Time-Space drawings all over it "Did your parents give the ok?"
"Yeah" Numbuh 1 sighed "Your father and mine will get along fine"
"What do you mean?" Rachel looked at him worried
"Sousaphone and Euphonium" Numbuh 1 said
Rachel immediately groaned "How did you let this happen?" she said then grinned at him "You sleeping with your cowboy costume?" she giggled
Numbuh 1 slapped his forehead "Just a second" Numbuh 1 left the room then rushed outside inside a few bushes, he returned to her room with a suitcase "I still don't feel comfortable with you watching…" he turned around
"I already know about the rainbow monkey underwear" Rachel said
Numbuh 1 sighed and just took out his costume
She giggled at his underwear "I get it okay? They are cute, I'm none to judge" she grabbed a Rainbow monkey that sat right across her bed and showed it to him
Numbuh 1 put on his pajamas that were inside the briefcase "I would rather not talk about it… who told you?'
"Numbuh 10" Rachel laughed
"Figures" Numbuh 1 sat on her bed with Rachel, he then took a moment to look around her bedroom, it was pretty normal as far as girls' bedrooms go, it had light pink wallpaper with a dressing table, she had a few Doctor Time-space and the continuums around it "Nice bedroom…" Numbuh 1 said
"Stop staring at it… it's embarrassing" she laughed
Numbuh 1 laughed with her then looked at his girlfriend "We… didn't kiss that much during the date…" Numbuh 1 said a bit embarrassed while smiling at her
Rachel laughed "I guess the candies were just too-" before she could continue Numbuh 1 approached her and kissed her, she closed her eyes and just decided to enjoy the moment "Hmmm… You are an amazing kisser, you know that?" Rachel laughed
"Now you are just making fun of me" Numbuh 1 said then was pulled into a kiss by Rachel, they both lay on the bed kissing each other between a couple of laughs until they heard a creak from the door
Rachel looked at the door only to see her brother staring at them "Harvey?"
"You two look like teenagers" he said with a grossed out look on his face, he stuck his tongue at the two then closed the door
Rachel and Nigel looked at each other and laughed a bit flustered by his comments, a couple of hours later and many candies Rachel and Numbuh 1 went to sleep, they slept next to each other "So… How are we going to break the news?" she said while looking at him as the moon illuminated her room
"You are the leader" Numbuh 1 grinned
"You are the man" Rachel grinned
Numbuh 1 sighed "We will figure it out" Numbuh 1 laughed then kissed her
She giggled "Just don't come up with something that will make me want to bury my head in the sand"
The next morning Numbuh 1 went to moonbase together with Rachel laughing to each other while holding hands blushing a bit, there were kids all over the base passed out with stomach aches from the amount of candy from the previous night but even that didn't stop them from watching in shock at the scene
They had reached global command, a few operatives were already working at the time "See you later?" Rachel smiled at him as she sat on her chair on global command
Numbuh 1 kissed her "Sure, I think I have a couple of missions with my team today though" he said
The operatives in the room looked at the couple in shock except for Numbuh 60 and 86 who smiled at the scene "Good to know they won't keep it a secret anymore" Numbuh 86 said
"Wish we could have the same luck" Patton grinned at her
"Shut up…" Numbuh 86 rolled her eyes smiling
Rachel kissed him "Goodbye" she waved at him blushing a bit well aware the whole room was staring at her, after Numbuh 1 left the room Rachel coughed and put on a serious face "Anything serious happened? Halloween always has tons of troubles" Rachel said as she started focusing on her console
Back in the treehouse a few hours later Numbuh 1 was doing the debriefing of a mission "And that's the whole situation, any questions?" Nigel asked
Numbuh 3 raised her hand "Are you planning on marrying Numbuh 362?"
"Numbuh 3!" Abby said looking at Numbuh 3 angry
"But KNN isn't starting until 6 PM how did y-" Numbuh 1 then paused for a moment "You spied on me yesterday didn't you?"
Numbuh 2 sighed "We only saw you two going out for a bit and then got back to our candies we swear" Numbuh 2 showed him his bag of candy not as full, the others were the same
Numbuh 1 sighed "At least you were polite enough to not barge on our date" Numbuh 1 smiled "Thanks" he said as the rest of the team smiled at him
"Hey come on, we would never do it" Numbuh 4 said
"You would" Numbuh 1 said
"We didn't wanna risk getting Numbuh 362 mad at us to be honest" Numbuh 2 said smiling then was nudged on the ribs by Numbuh 5
