Numbuh 1 was bored to his mind in classroom, The rest of his team weren't better themselves, Numbuh 4 was resting his cheek against the table while fidgeting with his pencil, Numbuh 3 was whispering with Numbuh 5, Numbuh 2 was the only one paying attention to class at the time, that until the speaker in their classrooms did a loud sound ready for announcing

"It is with pride that I, your principal, am announcing the upcoming school dance, go ahead and find a partner for it until the end of the week" The principal said over the speaker "Boys and Girls from other schools can be invited as well as couples" Their principal went on and on after that about proper etiquette during the dance

Numbuh 1 sighed then rested his elbow on the table, he had broke up a few months ago and always had a bummed expression every time anything regarding couples came up

"Psst… Numbuh 5" Smiled at Abby "I heard the food this year is actually good, you wanna go with me to the dance?" Numbuh 2 whispered

"Hmmm…" Numbuh 5 scratched her chin then gave Numbuh 2 a thumbs up "The punch this year may actually be good" Numbuh 5 snickered

After class Numbuh 2 was hanging with the other boys from Sector V around the lockers "So? Are you two going?" Numbuh 2 asked then turned his attention to Numbuh 4 and Numbuh 1

"Might as well invite Numbuh 3 before she hooks up with a weirdo" Numbuh 4 blushed

"Suuuure, you are inviting her because of that" Numbuh 2 laughed a bit "What about you Numbuh 1?" Hoagie asked

"I think I'm staying at home or doing some missions, I'm not interested in any girl to be honest" Nigel said

"Doesn't need to be a girl you like, invite a friend or something like that, you can invite someone from outside" Numbuh 2 said

"I… Will think about it" Numbuh 1 said trying to avoid the topic

Back in the treehouse, the team was hanging out on the couch in the mission room, each agent was doing their own thing, Numbuh 1 was fidgeting with his communicator trying to find new missions, Numbuh 2 was fixing a small controller, Numbuh 3 was drinking tea from a teacup while offering it to a rainbow Monkey, Numbuh 4 was reading a comic book and Numbuh 5 was listening to music "By the way…Numbuh 3?" Numbuh 4 lowered his comic book and turned his attention to Numbuh 3

"Yes Numbuh 4?" Numbuh 3 giggled looking at her friend

"You wanna go to the dance?" Numbuh 4 blushed but managed to invite her anyway

"Hmmmm… pick me up at five" She covered her mouth giggling and blushing while looking at him

"S-Sure" Numbuh 4 smiled happy that she accepted

"That's nice, we are all going" Numbuh 3 chuckled then got closer to Numbuh 4

"Not all of us… Numbuh 1 hasn't decided yet" Numbuh 2 said while focusing on the controller he was repairing

"What? Why?" Numbuh 3 turned her attention to Numbuh 1

"Dancing isn't my forte, besides it isn't that important to me, I always had to clean my schedule in school dances for Lizzie, it's nice to have some free time around this time of year for a change" Numbuh 1 said

"You seriously need to move on from that girl" Numbuh 5 said "Besides, you don't need to like the girl to invite her to the dance, just go as friends" Numbuh 5 said

"Like you guys are going, right?" Numbuh 1 asked in a teasing manner

"Of course… friends…" Numbuh 4 blushed while scratching the back of his head

"I didn't even know there was another way to go to the dance" Numbuh 3 tried to avoid making eye contact while also blushing

"Don't be absurd, of course we are going as friends…" Numbuh 2 then looked at Numbuh 5 who was blushing the girl just nodded with an awkward smile and refused to comment, Numbuh 2 just sighed while blushing then looked at Numbuh 1 "At least try thinking who to invite, there must be a girl who would like to go to the dance with you" Numbuh 2 said

"Yeah? Like who?" Numbuh 1 asked, he had returned to focusing on his communicator

Numbuh 5 snapped her fingers then smiled "Why don't you invite Numbuh 362? You two are friends"

"Yes we are and I'd rather keep it that way, no sense in risking a perfectly healthy friendship" Numbuh 1 said "I will head to my room, you guys are being extra annoying today" Numbuh 1 left the room

"You are blushing, you know that?" Numbuh 5 said before hearing the sound of a door being closed

Numbuh 1 sighed then put a hand on his cheek to feel its warmth "Might as well get this over with…" Numbuh 1 went to his personal console and called Numbuh 362

"Hmmm…" Rachel was staring at the screen on her console with a pensive look

"Something wrong?" Numbuh 86 was nearby and noticed the supreme looking strangely at her console

"Numbuh 1 from Sector V is calling me from his personal console… Nigel normally reaches up to me through 65.3 on Sector V's console so it's not work-related, could be important" Rachel said then accepted the call "Hey Nigel" Rachel smiled at the boy "Need help with something?" The supreme leader asked

"Well… yeah it's kind of a private matter though" Numbuh 1 said "Are you alone?"

"Hmmm…" Numbuh 362 looked at her surroundings, the room was mostly empty except for Numbuh 86 who was nearby "Yeah, sort of, what is it?"

"Would you mind going to the dance at my school with me? The rest of the team is pestering me to go but I don't have someone to go with" Numbuh 1 looked a bit nervous Rachel noticed but didn't comment

"Oh yeah I heard about the dance from a friend of mine" Rachel glanced at Fanny quickly "Could be fun, I've never been to your school, pick me up at four" Rachel said

"Sure, Numbuh 1 signing off" He said before finishing the transmission

"Are you coming?" Rachel looked at Numbuh 86 who smiled at her

"Nah, no boy at that school can handle me" Numbuh 86 laughed

"Doesn't need to be from your school" Rachel said

"I know what you are about to say, the answer is no, he is too busy with arctic base stuff" Numbuh 86 said

"Who is too busy with arctic base stuff?" Suddenly Numbuh 60 entered the room "Am I getting a new operative Sir?" Patton looked at Numbuh 362

"Rest easy Patton, I suggested Numbuh 86 invites you to the dance over at her school since Numbuh 1 just invited me" Rachel said

"Sir!" Numbuh 86 blushed then turned to Patton

"I don't know… I may be too much for Fulbright to handle" Patton chuckled while looking at Fanny in a teasing manner

"Pick me up at five" Numbuh 86 said then left the room mumbling something angrily

"Will do" Numbuh 60 said

"I need to decide what to wear…" Numbuh 362 sighed then got up

"By the way… do you like him?" Numbuh 60 asked

"I wouldn't like to ruin a perfectly good friendship, I am in part responsible for his break up" Rachel sighed "But yeah… I have a crush on him" Rachel said

"Huh, You should try confessing" Patton said before leaving the room

"Not that easy…" Rachel said then left the room

"Done, Invited Rachel to the dance" Numbuh 1 opened the door to his room

His team started applauding him "Way to go, See? Wasn't that hard, Go get her tiger" Numbuh 2 said

"She is only a friend" Numbuh 1 said

"Sure thing" Numbuh 5 said

"Do I smell Irony?" Numbuh 1 asked a bit concerned

"Just your imagination" Numbuh 5 said grinning at her sector leader

"Why is it so hard admitting you like her?" Numbuh 4 asked

Everyone in the room turned their attention to Numbuh 4 "Really?" Numbuh 2 said

Numbuh 1 groaned "Fine, Yeah I like her, she is my boss and a friend though, I care way too much about those things to risk them, end of discussion" Numbuh 1 said

The team kept quiet after that wishing to respect their leader's privacy
