A blonde girl with long hair was sitting at a table with a birthday cake on top of it, the room was filled with the sounds of children crying, the members of Sector V were all sitting around the table looking at her sadly while Numbuh 86 and 60 cried together near the decommissioning chamber "Aren't you guys being a little too dramatic?" The blonde girl smiled at them with a relaxed expression
"But Rachel… You will be gone" Numbuh 1 lowered his head
"Yeah… these things happen" Rachel got up from her chair and kissed Numbuh 1 "Just make sure you find me when it's your time"
"R-Rachel…" a sobbing Numbuh 86 approached her friend
"But I didn't even prepare my speech" Rachel patted Fanny on the shoulder comforting the girl then turned to the rest of kids next door who watched her with tears in their eyes "Alright, As you may know once I go through that door I will never be the same, I will probably wear weird clothes and talk weird teen stuff, I sometimes don't think I was the best Supreme Leader but… Thank you for bearing with me and Thank you for the best years of my life" Rachel teared up a bit and then raised her fist "KIDS NEXT DOOR RULES"
"KIDS NEXT DOOR RULES" The rest of the kids answered
"It's time…" Numbuh 86 was sitting on the floor right next to the decommissioning chamber
"See you guys one of these days" Rachel went inside the decommissioning chamber, a few screams could be heard from inside, soon Rachel left the chamber looking around "Uhhhh… Did I miss a turn and got in a kiddy party or something?" She chuckled looking around a bit confused
Numbuh 1 approached Rachel "Hey… I'm taking you back home if you don't mind"
Rachel smiled at Nigel "Sure thing Baldie" She patted his head playfully while grinning at him as they left the stage
Inside a cargo ship heading for earth, Numbuh 1 looked at the big blue planet with sadness "Well… it was good while it lasted"
"Hey, I'm not too fond of cramped spaces you know that?" Rachel complained
"Yeah Yeah sure thing teenager" Numbuh 1 sighed
"How old are you by the way?" Rachel asked humming a song grinning at the speaker in her cell
"I'm Eleven, I'm making twelve in march" Numbuh 1 said a bit sadly
"Heeey… that means you will be a teen next year" Rachel chuckled "I can't be seen with a brat like you but… be sure to give me a heads up when you turn thirteen" She chuckled amused
Numbuh 1 turned off the comms with the cell then banged his head on the ship console "This is torture…" Numbuh 1 dropped Rachel right in front of her house after that and then returned to his treehouse, the boy laid down on the couch while the members of his sector minus Numbuh 5 looked at him worried
"Sooo… Wanna do some missions?" Numbuh 4 asked before being slapped in the head by Numbuh 3 who stood right next to him
"You really need to work your empathy" Numbuh 3 sighed then kissed him on the cheek before dragging him away from Numbuh 1
"Bad day?" Numbuh 2 crouched in front of the couch smiling at Numbuh 1
"You have no idea…" Numbuh 1 groaned
"The trip to her home was that bad?" Numbuh 2 asked
"Yes, Yes it was" Numbuh 1 said
"Yeah… Usually it's Numbuh 5 who gives advices here" Numbuh 2 lowered his head now a bit sad
"She was the best choice for supreme leader" Numbuh 1 sighed "Well, at least it's not me getting yelled at by twenty kids at once" Numbuh 1 chuckled "I guess I will be fine, don't worry about me"
"Alright, I will make you a PB&J just in case" Numbuh 2 said then headed for the kitchen
"More Jelly than Peanut Butter in mine" Numbuh 1 yelled at him from the living room
Three months after Rachel's decommissioning Numbuh 1 had just finished his missions for the day and was handing a few stolen treasures to Moonbase, Numbuh 5 was talking with Numbuh 2 while he waited for Sector V's ship to be repaired "Flying space carrots, can you believe that?"
"Yeah, Numbuh 5 has to talk to 2x4 sector later and see if they can come up with something to counter that, it's a bother, the amount of steel and glue we are using to repair those is not good" Abby sighed
"So? We didn't have time to talk, is it as hard as you thought?" Numbuh 1 grinned at his former sector teammate
"Rachel was too soft, if you yell at them properly they all flee scared for their lives" Numbuh 5 laughed
"You don't really mean that" A feminine voice could be heard right on top of them
"Uhhh… Numbuh 1? What kind of voice was that?" Numbuh 5 looked at him weirded out
"Don't look at me" Numbuh 1 said then looked up only to see Rachel, Chad, Maurice and Cree smiling at them while hanging from the ceiling, they all wore battle ready armor
"Sis, don't you have entrance exams?" Numbuh 5 grinned at her as the older teenager jumped out of the ceiling and started attacking Numbuh 5
"Let's just say this is my farewell party to the ninjas" Cree said while shooting lasers at Abigail which the supreme leader deftly dodged, Cree then took a laser shot on her wrist destroying her laser glove
Numbuh 2 who held a Scampp laughed at her "I think you just got a lot of trouble in you hands" The boy laughed while both girls groaned at his joke
"Hey, Baldie, Haven't seen you since that kiddy party" Rachel had a weird laser halberd made of Teen Ninja tech in her hands, she started attacking Numbuh 1 while the boy dodged her swings at him
"Rachel, calm down, you aren't like that" Numbuh 1 said, he tried dodging until he finally had to land a punch in Rachel's face to keep the girl away "I'm so sorry" Numbuh 1 said a bit worried as the girl rubbed her nose
Numbuh 4 was fighting Chad exchanging punches with the boy "Don't worry, she probably had worse" Numbuh 4 said as he blocked a punch from Chad then countered it with a kick Numbuh 3 then jumped on top of Chad and covered his vision opening him up to be punched in the belly by Numbuh 4
"Can't believe the security systems failed again" Numbuh 60 and 86 had just arrived on the scene "So? How many so far?"
"Seventeen teennagers" Numbuh 86 was stretching herself while watching the members of Sector V fighting the teens "You?"
"Same, but I beat up a fat one from the football team" Patton cracked his knuckles grinning as Maurice along with five teenagers approached them
"Wasn't expecting to meet you here today" Rachel laughed "Don't you guys have your own base or something?" The girl asked as she kicked Numbuh 1 while using her halberd to propel herself, the girl then jumped on top of him and held her halberd against his neck "I was wondering this after you dropped me at home, why the shades?"
"They are prescription…" Numbuh 1 said as Rachel pushed the pole of the halberd against his neck
"Cool… Anyway, this crazy girl wanted to defeat her little sis today since she is leaving the ninjas, then I thought "Why not?" " Rachel shrugged
At that exact moment, Numbuh 1 kicked Rachel away then grabbed her Halberd "It's over"
"I don't think so…" Rachel smiled at him then walked away going further inside moonbase, Numbuh 1 followed her to a secluded location inside the base, she was now cornered in a small room with Numbuh 1 pointing her Halberd against her
"You always said you liked Arctic base" Numbuh 1 grinned at her sweating a bit from all the action
Rachel started fidgeting with her glove "Let me see… Oh yeah, here it is" She pressed a button in her glove which made her halberd lock itself in Nigel's hand then fly towards her "Bet you brats would like to have this kind of tech" She held Numbuh 1 closely then pulled him into a kiss "If the others see this I'm going to be the laughing stock of school for a month" She sighed
"W-W-What is happening?!" Numbuh 1 was too surprised to fight back as the girl turned her back to him and stored her Halberd
Rachel turned her face toward him "I don't know…I guess I find you cute" She shrugged while smiling at him a bit embarrassed, her armor then started beeping "Well… See you one of these days" Her battle ready armor turned itself into a rocket and then left moonbase leaving a hole straight towards space
A while later Numbuh 1 was sitting at Numbuh 5's office his head was a mess as the boy constantly remembered Rachel's kiss "I really missed that…" He thought
Numbuh 5 snickered at him "That girl hasn't changed a bit" Numbuh 5 smiled while looking at earth from a window "Hey, good thing, you two are probably staying together when you turn into a teen"
"How is that even possible… She couldn't remember right?" Numbuh 1 asked, he looked at Numbuh 5 with a puzzled look
"No way, we do tests and keep them under surveillance for a while after they leave for the teens" Numbuh 5 smiled at Numbuh "The girl just likes your style" Numbuh 5 laughed
Numbuh 1 groaned "That doesn't make me feel better somehow…" The sector Leader said
"Don't worry, I'm sure she can't wait to meet you" Numbuh 5 snickered at him again.
Rachel was Laying on a couch watching television in a huge hall, other teens played in arcade machines or in video game consoles, suddenly her view was blocked by Chad "Booo… It was in the best part" Rachel said looking at Chad annoyed
"May I know why you got separated from us earlier today?" Chad crossed his arms frowning at her
"Oh you know… Girl stuff" She grinned at him, in a flash Chad grabbed her by the shirt and lifted her "It's bad enough that Maurice told Numbuh 5 about the spy cell, you didn't tell him did you?"
"For starters…" Rachel grabbed Chad's hands and pressed her thumb against a nerve on his hand making him release her then making the boy crouch down on the floor from pain "Don't try acting tough near a girl who can beat you with her eyes closed!" She said "And second… I just kissed him" She blushed now a bit flustered "He doesn't know… I guess" Rachel released Chad then went back to sit on the couch
"You guess?" Maurice asked he looked at Rachel looking for an answer but gave up after the girl looked at him with sincere eyes, Maurice sighed "Not like I can say much anyway" The boy sat on the couch right next to Rachel
"You two don't really care about this whole operation do you?" Chad frowned at them both
"I think you are the one who cares too much" Rachel shrugged "Chips?" She handed him a bag of potato chips to which the boy promptly slapped from her hand "You like the barbecue ones?"
"Just don't come complaining to me when Cree comes bursting through that door" Chad got up and left the two alone
"He is right though… it was risky" Maurice said
"I miss him…" Rachel laid down on the couch again then sighed a bit sad
"Yeah I noticed. you should focus on being patient, food for thought" Maurice got up then left Rachel alone watching television
"What a mess" The girl sighed then heard her communicator starting to beep, it was Numbuh 5 calling her "Hey… going to give me an earful too?"
"I could do that, but Numbuh 1's face was too priceless so I'm going to let that pass" Numbuh 5 grinned at Rachel
"By the way… your term is pretty short right?" Rachel asked
"Yup, I'm leaving KND in two months" Abby said
"Sooo… Who is the next supreme Leader?" Rachel asked
"It's not Nigel in case you are wondering, he personally asked Numbuh 5 to leave him out of this one" Abby said "I'm probably going to leave it for tag" Abby sighed
"Bad idea, I know from experience" Rachel chuckled
"Don't worry, No broccoli trees this time" Numbuh 5 smiled at Rachel
"So, How is he?" Rachel asked
"He is a bit suspicious but nothing I couldn't handle, don't worry, he will be in for a surprise" Numbuh 5 chuckled
After their attack Rachel and the teen ninjas would attack KND as usual throughout the year, Numbuh 1 always wondered what happened that day, Rachel never did it again after that though, she would crack a few jokes at him during their battles but nothing flirty. As usual, Rachel was fighting KND on top of a truck, the teen ninjas were helping Mr. Fizz with a shipment of soda, she was fighting against Numbuh 1 "Hey, Baldie, good to meet you here"
"It's Nigel, Working for Fizz? After Cree left you guys really fell off huh?" Numbuh 1 smiled while dodging her attacks, he then kicked Rachel in the stomach
"I prefer working for father, he pays better" the girl shrugged then hit Numbuh 1 in the chest with her halberd ripping his shirt "Anyway, I made fourteen recently, I was worried, my favorite brat didn't give me anything"
"I don't attend Teenager parties" Numbuh 1 smiled then tripped her making the girl fall off the truck, the boy held her hand impeding her from falling
"Didn't know KND brats killed their enemies" Rachel frowned at him while looking at the road
"Sorry, it was a miscalculation" Numbuh 1 pulled her back to the top of the truck
"Thanks, So?" Rachel smiled at him
"So?" Numbuh 1 looked at her puzzled
"My gift" Rachel grinned at him
"I… don't have one" Numbuh 1 scratched the back of his head embarrassed
"Of course you do…" Rachel approached him grinning at the boy "Wait a second…" Soon the truck entered inside a dark tunnel "That will do…" Rachel then kissed the boy hugging him
"Your birthday is getting close right? I'm sorry if I don't attend kid parties but… give me a call once you are done partying with the brats, I will show you what a real party looks like" She winked at him then pushed the boy off the truck into a nearby cliff that ended in the ocean
Numbuh 1 was floating in the water dazed by her kiss, the second one since the day she turned into a teen "Wow… I missed that…" Numbuh 1 blushed smiling while looking at the sky.
