Slash looked out the windows. There were clone troopers everywhere. They were firing. The thing is, there was no sign of droids or Grievous or anything. It was just the clones and some Jedi. The clones were firing at the Jedi. One of them was Saesee Tiin, Slash's master. When Slash had spotted him, he moved away from the window, grabbed his lightsaber and went to find the exit. He needed to help. He made it outside. The clones turned their attention to him. He ignited his lightsaber.
"Slash, run," shouted his master.
One of the clones fired and . . .
Slash woke up and bolted upwards, panting and in cold sweats. He had that dream again. The one he had been having every night for the last three weeks. The clones had turned against the Jedi. Every night, Slash was being shot at, the last voice he heard being that of his master. Slash put his head into his hands.
"Why won't these dreams stop?" he said into is hands.
He raised his head and got out of bed. It was time to tell Master Saesee Tiin about these dreams. Slash didn't say anything at the beginning because he thought it was just a dream, something that would only happen once and then stop. But it has been three weeks. It's time to say something.
Slash left his room and went down the corridor. He kept going until he found his master's room. He knocked on the door.
"What is it, Slash?" he heard from inside.
"How do you know it was me?" Slash asked, entering the room.
"I had a feeling that you'd come and see me tonight. Now, what's the problem?" said Master Saesee Tiin.
Slash sat down on a chair opposite his master. "I've been having dreams."
"Slash, dreams are a natural thing."
"That's not what I mean. I've been having the same one every night."
Saesee Tiin leaned back and crossed his legs. "How long have you been getting these dreams?"
"Every night for three weeks. The clones were out of control. They were trying to kill off the Jedi and you were trying to tell me to run."
Slash was talking faster and faster as he was explaining his dream, almost as if he was panicking.
"Calm down, Slash. It was only a dream. They hardly ever mean anything. Go back to bed. We've a busy day tomorrow."
"Yes, Master."
Slash stood up and leaves the room. He took his time returning to his room. There were some clones hanging around. These were the people he had been seeing on a daily basis since the Clone Wars had begun and had been fighting on the same side as the Jedi since day one. Slash didn't get it. How can he have a nightly dream where the people he and the other Jedi fought along side would suddenly turn on them?
"Are you ok, Slash?" one of the troopers asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you," Slash responded before swiftly moving back to his room.
A feeling of paranoia came over Slash. As he made his way back to his room, he kept looking over his shoulder like a trooper was suddenly going to jump out at him. He found his room. The door slid open and he went inside. He sat on the edge of the bed. He didn't get it. Why would he get so caught up in one dream? Yes, it was the same dream as last night and the night before and the night before but Slash never got this worked up about a dream before. Why now and why this dream? Maybe Master Saesee Tiin was right. Maybe it was just a dream and it was nothing to worry about.
Slash got back into bed and laid down. He laid on one side. He turned around to the other side. He moved onto his back and stared at the ceiling. He couldn't get back to sleep. This became a regular routine for Slash. He would have his dream, wake up, go for a short walk, go back to bed and struggle to go back to sleep. It was going to be a long night.
