Boku no Hero Academia: Izuku's Pet Noumu
Disclaimer: This is a mature-rated fanfiction story of Boku no Hero Academia that I am writing for both fluffy and erotic fun. Needless to say, this story is AU, the characters may seem OOC to some and there will be smutty lemons. Also, I own nothing of the series other than the fanfiction stories that I make.
Chapter 20: I-Island (Part 1)
Toshinori (a.k.a. All Might) was dreaming of the time when he worked together with Dave in America when Eri excitedly shook his hand and said, "Yagi-san, we're here!"
Waking up from his sleep, Toshinori rubbed his his eyes and asked, "What is it, Eri-shoujo?"
"We're here! I-Island!" said Eri who was hopping excitedly.
Inko, who had taken the window seat next to Toshinori, chuckled as she spoke to Eri, "Yes, we are, Eri-chan."
Izuku and Wankuro, who were seated together so that Wankuro could get pampered by Izuku's "head pats" and "chin scritches" were both looking out of the window to look at I-Island. The boy's grinning face was pressed against the glass of the window as he excitedly spoke, "The artificial moving city inhabited by over ten-thousand scientists, I-Island."
"It's huge!" exclaimed Wankuro.
"How does something so big float on the water and move around?" wondered Eri who sat on Inko's lap so that she could see the artificial island.
Toshinori chuckled as he petted Eri's head and said, "I'm sure that David and his daughter will be more than happy to answer that question, Eri-shoujo."
Surprised, Izuku asked, "He has a daughter?"
Toshinori nodded and said, "Yes, he does. In fact, she quirkless much like how you used to be, Midoriya-shounen."
Izuku's eyes widened at the realisation before he asked worriedly, "Is she…"
Aware of Izuku's past mistreatment due to being "basically quirkless", Toshinori assured him, "Don't worry, she's not mistreated like you."
Although Izuku was not fully convinced, he decided to trust Toshinori's claim and hoped that David's daughter was not hiding any abuse from anyone who cared for her. Considering that Wankuro had kept her abusive "previous family life" a secret from Izuku and Inko, the boy felt justified in feeling worried for Melissa.
It was at that moment that the robotic pilot announced, "This plane will soon begin its descent to I-Island."
Toshinori got up from his seat and said, "Now comes the exhausting part…" He slowly transformed into his All Might form as he continued to speak, "-since I'll have to be in my hero form constantly." Once he was in his hero form, complete with his hero costume, Toshinori spoke to Izuku and Wankuro, "Now then, you two go ahead and get changed into your hero outfits, Midoriya-shounen, Midoriya-shoujo."
Both Izuku and Wankuro grinned as they nodded and replied, "Yes!"
--A short while later…--
After the aeroplane had landed, Izuku, Wankuro, Eri, Inko and Toshinori stood on a moving platform which served as the immigration section of the airport. While they waited for the immigration process to be completed, Toshinori asked Wankuro, "Here's a question for you, Midoriya-shoujo. Why was this artificial island created?"
Wankuro frowned as she thought of an answer before she said, "Because it's cool?"
Toshinori laughed as he replied, "While I'll agree that a moving artificial island is certainly cool, that's not really the reason." He then turned his attention towards Izuku and asked, "Would you like to explain for her and Eri-shoujo?"
Izuku nodded with a smile and then explained, "It's to create a place where smart and talented people from all over the world can gather and do research on quirks and support items. It's also made mobile to protect the scientists and their research from villains and has a security system on par with Tartarus Prison itself. So far, no villain has ever been able to commit a crime here before."
"Oh!" exclaimed Wankuro and Eri who were impressed by what they had heard about the island from Izuku.
Before long, the immigration process was completed and the "family" was able to leave the airport. Izuku, Wankuro and Eri stared at the scene before them with wide-eyed wonder as they could see not only technologically-advanced wonders but also people using their quirks to impress and entertain the visitors of the island.
"Unlike Japan, people are allowed to use their quirks as they wish on I-Island. In fact, there are a lot of attractions that use quirks here," explained Toshinori who then added, "You and your friends should visit them later."
"Of course!" said Izuku who wanted to enjoy sight-seeing with his friends from U.A. High School.
While Inko was looking at her phone to find out the location of their hotel, a young lady approached the group to welcome them, "Welcome to the pre-opening of the I-Expo…" The young lady's eyes widened in amazement as she recognised the group, "Wait a minute… All Might?!" Her eyes shone in excitement as she added, "And Dekiru and Wan-Chan too?!"
Everyone who heard the young lady's excited exclamation turned their attention towards the group with equal excitement. Not surprisingly, it lead to the group being surrounded by excited fans of All Might and even Izuku and Wankuro. Inko made sure to hold Eri protectively in her arms while Wankuro stood watch over them protectively. Unfortunately for Izuku, he was on his own as he was forced to face eager fans once again.
Used to being greeted by many eager fans, Toshinori laughed and said, "Thank you all for the warm welcome! Now, please line up for your autographs!"
Before long, Toshinori, Izuku and even Wankuro started to sign autographs for their fans. In Wankuro's case, she simply wrote her hero code-name.
--Nearly an hour later…--
Shouta (a.k.a. Eraser Head) sighed in aggravation as he rubbed the bridge of his nose and grumbled, "Why am I not surprised to see this?" He was referring to Toshinori, Izuku and Wankuro signing autographs with no sign of stopping any time soon.
"To be perfectly fair, this is All Might we're talking about here," said Sekijirou (a.k.a. Vlad King).
Kyouka whispered to Momo, "How long do you think those three have been signing autographs and getting their pictures taken?"
"Assuming that their flight had no delays, I'd say over half an hour at least," said Momo.
"Over half an hour of that? Sounds rough," said Denki who noted that the line of fans was still very long.
"If you plan to become well-known pro-heroes, you'd all do well to be prepared for such scenarios," said Shouta who then added, "Which is also one of the reasons why I chose to be an underground pro-hero."
"So, should we help them out?" asked Higari (a.k.a. Power Loader).
"Might as well," said Shouta who then approached the group. Ochako, Tsuyu and Himiko were especially determined to "rescue" Izuku from his female fans.
Recognising the students and teachers, Eri smiled and said, "Everyone, you're all here!"
"Of course we are!" said Mina who then added, "None of us wanted to miss our chance to come here!"
"Not to mention that someone has to keep an eye on Izu-chan before he gets into trouble, again, kero," said Tsuyu.
Izuku blushed as he argued, "I'm not THAT trouble-prone, Tsuyu-chan."
Ochako gave Izuku an unimpressed look as she spoke to him, "Says the boy who got involved with the yakuza on his very first day of internships."
"Saved me too," added Himiko who then glared at the fan girls who wanted to get closer to Izuku.
Unable to argue against the logic of Ochako and Himiko's deadpan statements, Izuku chuckled sheepishly while scratching the back of his head.
"At any rate, since you three are obviously occupied, we'll be escorting Midoriya-san and Eri to the hotel. We'll also help to take your belongings to the hotel so that you won't have to worry about them," said Shouta.
"You have our thanks, Aizawa-kun," said Toshinori who was glad that Inko and Eri would be in safe hands while making their way to the hotel.
--Ten minutes later…--
Izuku, Wankuro and Toshinori were all exhausted as they dragged their feet to a calmer part of I-Island where Toshinori would be meeting either David himself, his daughter or both. Toshinori, who somehow managed to avoid getting kissed by the ladies, muttered, "I didn't think we'd be stopped for so long. We're almost late for the reunion!"
Suddenly, Wankuro's ears twitched as she heard a strange "sproinging" sound. Curious, she turned her attention towards the source of the sound and realised that a full-figured and attractive girl with a round face, wavy blond hair and aqua-blue eyes was approaching them while riding on some kind of jumping contraption. The blond girl, who was wearing oval spectacles, smiled when she saw Toshinori and called out, "Uncle Might!" She then leapt off her jumping contraption to leap into Toshinori's arms.
Immediately recognising the girl to be Melissa Shield, Toshinori smiled happily as he hugged her and said, "Oh, Melissa! It's so good to see you! You've grown so much that I almost failed to recognise you!"
"I'm seventeen now," said Melissa who then blushed and asked, "I'm heavier now, aren't I?"
"Not at all!" said Toshinori who laughed happily while lifting Melissa up into the air.
Izuku and Wankuro smiled at the happy reunion when Melissa noticed Izuku and smiled brightly at him. She then approached him and said, "You must be Midoriya Izuku! I'm a big fan of yours since the sports festival!"
Blushing from the positive attention from such a pretty American girl, Izuku stammered, "Y-yes I am." He then bowed to her and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Melissa Shield. I've heard about you and your father from All Might."
Melissa giggled at Izuku's shy response and looked forward to spending more time with him.
"By the way, where's David?" asked Toshinori.
Melissa turned her attention towards Toshinori and answered, "Oh, he's currently working on some research that he has started on recently."
"I'm honestly not surprised," said Toshinori who then asked, "So what is he currently working on?"
"I'm honestly not sure," replied Melissa who then explained, "He said that it's a secret that he'd like to keep confidential at the moment."
"Scientists have it hard too, huh?" asked Toshinori who was clearly amused. He then asked, "So, should we go and pay him a visit?"
Melissa smiled as she nodded. She then retrieved her jumping contraption which was essentially a red futuristic-looking pogo stick. Wankuro's eyes widened in shock as she saw the contraption change into a glowing material before compressing itself into a small container which could be stored in Melissa's pocket. Shocked by what she had seen, due to her years of being essentially a captive lab experiment and living weapon by the League of Villains, she had to ask, "How…?"
Izuku smiled as he explained, "It's mass-shifting technology. It's a new kind of technology that is already being used to make hero support items so that pro-heroes can quickly put on their hero costumes during emergencies."
Curious, Wankuro approached Melissa while staring at the small container in her hand. Realising that the dog-like noumu-girl was truly ignorant of the technology, Melissa smiled and explained, "He's correct. Mass-shifting allows us to store objects in containers that are much smaller in size." She then opened her palm so that Wankuro could get a better look of the container, "It also makes the mass lighter so that it'll be easier to carry the objects."
Wankuro tilted her head as she curiously inspected the object with both her eyes and her nose. She was almost tempted to tap the container but she did not want to risk making the thing explode somehow. Satisfied by the fact that she more or less understood how the new technology worked, she backed off so that she could stand beside Izuku.
"At any rate, let's get going and meet up with Papa!" said Melissa who then beckoned Toshinori, Izuku and Wakuro to follow her lead. The pro-hero and his two students smiled at one another before they set off the meet David Shield.
--A short while later, at the central tower of I-Island…--
David Shield, who had been expecting Toshinori to arrive with Izuku and Wankuro, was still surprised when Toshinori suddenly appeared at the door of his currently-empty lab and said, "I'm here… shaking with emotion from our reunion!" The pro-hero then hugged David boisterously while laughing happily.
Nearly dropping his phone, which was showing a picture of Toshinori in his younger years as a new pro-hero, David nevertheless smiled at Toshinori after the pro-hero had calmed down and said, "It's been a long time, Toshi."
Toshinori smiled happily as he presented his left fist to David while saying, "Man, how long has it been since we last met?"
"Oh, don't remind me of how old I am. Neither of us wants to think about that, do we?" replied David as he grinned at his friend and did a "bro-fist" with him.
"That's certainly true!" agreed Toshinori as both men laughed together. The pro-hero then gratefully said, "I'm truly glad that I could see you again, David."
"Same here, All Might," replied David. He then noticed Izuku, Wankuro and Melissa at the door and said, "And those two must be Midoriya Izuku and Midoriya Wankuro."
Izuku stood straight as he was standing before a well-known scientist who was not only Toshinori's former sidekick during his time in America but was also responsible for creating all of Toshinori's pro-hero costumes form Young Age to his current costume, the Golden Age costume. Understandably, he was both moved and nervous as he spoke to David, "Y-yes, that's us!"
Chuckling at Izuku's response, David said, "No need to be so shy or formal. A friend of All Might is a friend of mine as well."
Toshinori, who was nearing his limit, coughed slightly. Noticing the signal, David asked Melissa, "Melissa, All Might and I would like to have a word in private. Do you mind showing those two around in the meantime?"
Melissa smiled happily as she replied, "Okay, papa."
"Are you sure?" asked Izuku who then said, "Surely you must have your own plans for the I-Expo pre-opening today."
Melissa giggled and said, "Actually, my plans today revolve around showing you around the island and introducing you to my friends from the academy here. Besides, it's an honour to spend the day with a future pro-hero."
"Then can we go to the hotel first?" asked Izuku who then explained, "My friends, schoolmates and teachers from U.A. High School are there with my mum and little sister."
"Of course," said Melissa who then led Wankuro and Izuku to the hotel so that they could regroup with Inko, Eri and his schoolmates and teachers from U.A. High School.
After Izuku, Wankuro and Melissa had left, Toshinori reverted back to his original form and said, "Thanks for the save. My time has been getting shorter in spite of everyone's efforts to prevent it."
"You've told me about Izuku being able to treat your wounds and a powerful experimental treatment which can reverse one's biological state in your emails, Toshi," stated David who then asked, "Can you tell me more about the latter?"
Toshinori nodded and started to explain more about Eri's quirk to David. David was secretly glad that he had correctly assumed that the treatment was a powerful quirk as it meant that his current research was already on the right track. Even if he could not use his previous research to help Toshinori, he could still use his current research as a viable alternative.
--At a certain hotel…--
Ochako, Tsuyu and Himiko, who had received a message from Izuku that he and Wankuro would be arriving at the hotel soon with a guide, were waiting anxiously for them in the hotel lobby when they saw them arrive. They three girls were about to greet Izuku and Wankuro happily when they realised that they were being escorted by Melissa whom they had never met before.
"Deku-kun, who's that?" asked Ochako who could not help but notice how beautiful Melissa was. Needless to say, she felt a strong desire to make sure that Melissa knew that Izuku was already taken.
Unaware of the three girls' growing sense of possessive jealousy, Izuku explained, "Oh, this is Melissa Shield. She's David Shield's daughter and she'll be our guide for the I-Expo."
Tsuyu placed her finger onto her lips and asked, "Wait, does that mean that she's something like All Might's niece, kero?"
"You can say that," confirmed Melissa who then added, "And you three must be Dekiru's friends from U.A. High School."
Since Melissa, Izuku and Wankuro had only just met, Izuku and Wankuro agreed that she could call them by their hero code-names.
"Yes, we're friends," confirmed Himiko who then pouted at Melissa and added, "VERY close friends."
Melissa blinked in surprise before she asked Himiko, "Are you… one of the other reformed noumus like Wan-Chan?"
"Yes, she is," answered Izuku. He then turned his attention towards Ochako and Tsuyu to tell them, "She'll be our guide and show us around the island. She also wants us to meet some of her friends who are also inventors like her."
Although Ochako was wary about Melissa, she knew better than to reject her offer to guide everyone around the island. As such, she and Tsuyu quickly contacted everyone to gather at the hotel lobby so that they could tour around the island.
--Before long…--
Izuku, along with his friends and schoolmates from U.A. High School, Eri, Inko, Shouta, Sekijirou and Higari, were given a tour around the island by Melissa. She smiled as she guided everyone to a pavilion which showcased many new inventions. Along the way, the group managed to meet the Kaiju Hero, Godzillo, who greatly resembled a certain fictional monster known as Godzilla.
Recognising the students and their teachers, Godzillo approached them and said, "Yo, Eraser Head, Vlad King, Power Loader. Are those kids your students?"
"Unfortunately," replied Shouta.
Eri looked up at the huge pro-hero and said, "So… big!"
Noticing the little girl who was in Wankuro's arms, Godzillo smiled at her and said, "What's your name, little one?"
Eri blushed as she shyly replied, "I-I'm Midoriya Eri."
Godzillo chuckled as Eri buried her face into Wankuro's bust before he turned his attention towards Izuku and said, "Then you must be Midoriya Izuku. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Izuku blushed and said, "I honestly don't think I'm all that great."
"Your achievements during the sports festival and your internship say otherwise," said Godzillo who then turned his attention towards Izuku's schoolmates and said, "I look forward to seeing what kinds of pro-heroes you all will become in the future."
"I'm not planning to be a pro-hero," said Mei who then grinned and explained, "I'm going to be the future CEO of Hatsume Industries!"
Melissa, who already knew that Mei was a member of the support department due to the latter girl's energetic self-introduction, giggled and said, "I'm sure that my friends will be more than happy to help out a fellow inventor."
Mei's grin widened as she spoke, "Forming connections with the famous scientists of I-Island is like a dream come true for me! With their help, I'll be able to create cute babies the likes of which the world has never seen before!"
While Mei started cackling like a mad scientist, which somehow did not disturb Melissa at all, Godzillo could not help but wonder, "Is it just me or does she look like someone who will actually create a 'Mecha-Godzillo' just because she can?" The pro-hero decided to go back to his duties as he spoke, "Well, I've to go back to my duties. It's a pleasure meeting you all." He then grinned at the students and Melissa while giving them a thumbs up and said, "Don't forget to have fun!"
After bidding Godzillo goodbye, the group entered the pavilion. Understandably, everyone, including the noumu-girls, were impressed if not amazed by the technology on display. In fact Mei practically skipped from one display to the next while Melissa somehow easily kept up with her seemingly endless stream of questions about each invention on display.
It did not take long for Melissa to notice a her friends from the academy and happily called out, "Leeron! Constanze! Houka!"
A short German girl with slightly-tanned skin, navy-blue hair, teal-green eyes and a seemingly perpetual grumpy look on her face named Constanze Amalie von Braunschbank-Albrechtsberger waved at Melissa. Standing beside the short girl was a small humanoid robotic assistant with a large head shaped like a game console which also waved at Melissa.
The second person, a tall slender man with green hair, black eyes and a flamboyantly gay demeanour named Leeron Littner, smiled at the blond girl and said, "Hi, Melissa-chan! I see that you've brought the guests of honour to see your invention!"
Melissa giggled as she happily replied, "Yes, I did."
The third member of the group that Melissa had greeted, a young man with teal-blue hair and eyes and apparent mutations on his forearms named Inumuta Houka, adjusted his tinted-blue spectacles and said, "I see that they're all students and teachers from U.A. High School." He then noticed something and added, "Albeit with one member of the infamous Class 1A missing apparently."
Realising whom Houka was talking about, Shouta explaines, "Bakugou rejected the offered chance to come here for the pre-opening. As such, the offer was given to Hatsume instead."
Houka nodded and replied, "Duly noted, Eraser Head."
Shouta narrowed his eyes and asked, "How did you know my code-name?"
"Considering that you're the home room teacher of Class 1A and a registered pro-hero, it's not particularly difficult to get the necessary information and make a couple of educated guesses even though you're an underground pro-hero who hates the media," said Houka who was wearing an unmistakeably smug smirk.
Shouta sighed as he realised that Houka had a point and replied, "Just don't go around telling everyone about me or my quirk."
"I may be obsessed with gathering data but even I have my standards," replied Houka who then turned his attention towards Melissa and said, "Speaking of standards, the item that you wish to present to everyone is now ready for display."
Melissa smiled gratefully as she spoke to Houka, "Thank you, Houka." She then turned her attention towards the gathered students and teachers and said, "Everyone, it is with great honour and pleasure that I present to you, the 'Full Gauntlet'!"
Houka, Leeron and Constanze stepped aside so that Izuku and the others from U.A. High School would see the Full Gauntlet. It appeared to be a simple red wristband but Izuku and many of his schoolmates could tell that it was more than just a wristband as Melissa explained, "This support item is inspired by All Might's incredible strength and is theoretically capable of withstanding the full power of his punches at least three times. That said, it's still an experimental support equipment and will require further testing before it can be available for hero-work."
Izuku's eyes shone with excitement as he gazed upon the Full Gauntlet and asked, "It's can withstand three full punches from All Might? That's incredible!"
"It still requires further testing but I can guarantee that it'll be a good support item for just about anyone who uses enhanced physical strength to fight," said Melissa who was happy to hear such praise from Izuku.
"That is if the person is willing to pay for the cost of having it made and maintained," said Houka who was smirking smugly.
Melissa's smile became sheepish as she admitted, "Yeah… there's that issue."
"Just how costly is it?" asked Momo.
"Let's just say that the money spent can be used to buy a whole mansion and at leave it at that," said Leeron who then flirtatiously winked while he added, "Or buy a wedding ring worthy for a princess from a fairy tale if you want a different point of reference."
Nearly all the boys in Izuku's group shuddered involuntarily in response to Leeron's playful flirting while Ochako nearly fainted from realising the cost of the support item which was admittedly meant to be used by someone who was at least nearly as powerful as All Might himself. Melissa giggled before she proceeded to explain how she originally started working on the Full Gauntlet by herself before she decided to ask Leeron, Constanze and Houka for their help after watching the U.A. Sports Festival. With their help, she was able to created two working prototypes of the support item. The two working prototypes were in her lab while the one in the pavilion was merely a well-made prop for display.
Just because I-Island was a safe place with no crime did not mean that the scientists were going to leave potentially dangerous inventions in a public place for people to potentially mishandle or worse.
--Some time later…--
After showing Izuku and his companions various new inventions, many of which were created based on ideas patented by David himself, Melissa guided them to a cafe to take a short break. As for Melissa's three friends, they had other plans for the day but promised that they would be present for the upcoming reception party at the central tower of I-Island.
While Melissa was seated with Ochako, Tsuyu, Wankuro and Himiko, the vampiric noumu-girl had to ask, "So, you like Izu-baby?"
Melissa blushed as she asked, "W-what do you mean, Toga-san?"
"You're obvious," explained Himiko who was clearly not letting the matter drop.
"As much as I hate to appear rude, Himi-chan does have a point, kero," said Tsuyu.
"The way you smiled while Deku praised your invention is pretty telling after all," said Ochako.
"It's a problem?" asked Wankuro who seemed convinced that Melissa could be trusted.
Melissa tried to find an excuse when she suddenly realised something and asked, "Are you all… attracted to him too?"
Ochako and Tsuyu blushed while Himiko nodded with a blush and Wankuro wagged her tail happily and answered, "Yup! We cuddle together!"
"W-Wan-chan!" exclaimed Ochako whose entire face was blushing. As for Tsuyu, she croaked comically while Himiko nodded to confirm Wankuro's claim.
Melissa blushed at the implications before she shyly admitted, "Well… I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't interested in him." She then wore a sad smile as she explained, "You see, I'm quirkless and I used to dream of becoming a pro-heroine before I realised that my dream was impossible. However, Uncle Might convinced me that I didn't need to be a pro-heroine to help people so I decided to be an inventor just like Papa." Her smile softened as she continued to speak, "When I heard Dekiru's speech during the sports festival, I was inspired to go beyond my current best in spite of lacking a quirk to call my own. Seeing him try so hard to win the festival only made him even more amazing from my point of view." The blond inventor then giggled as she added, "Those cute pictures of him and even his embarrassing confession were also deeply endearing."
Realising that Melissa was truly attracted towards Izuku, and for admittedly understandable reasons at that, Ochako, Tsuyu and Himiko realised that she was not some random fangirl who only wanted to be associated with a rising pro-hero. As such, Tsuyu had to ask, "You don't have a boyfriend, kero?"
Melissa shook her head and explained, "Honestly, I don't have a lot of genuine friends, let alone any real boyfriends. Part of the reason is because I'm quirkless and we all know how 'some people' think about quirkless people in general." Ochako, Tsuyu, Himiko and Wankuro did not miss the bitter tone in Melissa's words as she continued to speak, "I also have to put up with people who only want to get close to me because of who my Papa is. To be honest, the only real friends I have among my peers here are Constanze, Leeron and Houka who do not care about my quirklessness or my relationship with both Papa and Uncle Might."
In spite of their initial misgivings towards Melissa who was clearly a potential rival, Ochako, Tsuyu and Himiko could not help but feel sympathy for her as she had a harder life than they had expected. They also knew that, just like every other scientist and family member on I-Island, Melissa could not leave the island for safety and security reasons. The inability to travel to anywhere meant that the American inventor could not move to another place to have a fresh start in life even if she wanted to.
Ochako sighed in resignation as she asked Melissa, "I can't believe I'm saying this but… can you give us your phone number and email?" Melissa blinked in surprise before Ochako explained, "I know that you can't leave the island but it doesn't mean that you can't keep in touch with us or Deku-kun."
Realising what Ochako was implying, Melissa asked, "Are you really all right with it, Uraraka-san?"
Ochako nodded and replied, "It's fine, Melissa. Besides, it's not like we're asking you if you want to join in the 'cuddle pile' with us right now."
"Well… that's certainly true," agreed Melissa who blushed at the idea of sleeping with Izuku and his "cuddle harem". As much as she liked Izuku, she did not feel ready to go that far with him, yet.
Before long, everyone had eaten and rested so Melissa decided to take them to an arena where the hero-students would test themselves against various robotic opponents. Needless to say, many of them battled against the robots and had fun while testing their limits. While Izuku was taking his turn to fight the robots, Melissa noticed that he was holding back and soon realised that he still could not use his full strength without hurting himself. The blond inventor also noted how Izuku's enhanced strength was similar to Toshinori's and decided to help him deal with his powerful quirk.
It should be noted that Shouto got the best score by literally freezing the entire arena in just a few seconds. Wankuro could have gotten a similar score but Izuku warned her not to use her flames to create a massive inferno for fear of rendering the arena unusable. Understandably, some of the students from U.A. High School accused Shouto of having an "overpowered quirk".
After testing their limits at the arena, the group from U.A. High School followed Melissa's lead to various other attractions around the island. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable day for them.
--Later that day…--
Melissa led the group back to the hotel when Momo saw a group of people which included some maids and a butler whom the students of Class 1A quickly recognised. Momo smiled happily as she ran towards the other group and called out, "Father! Mother! Everyone! You're all really here!"
Momo's father, a tall well-dressed gentleman with black hair, red eyes and a handsome angular face named Yaoyorozu Satoru, chuckled as he spoke to his daughter, "Of course, my little princess. We didn't want to miss another chance to see your dear friends in person after all."
"Especially not after hearing so many good things about them from Sebas and the maids," agreed a tall and beautiful woman, who could be described as an even more mature version of Momo herself, named Yaoyorozu Coco. It was clear that Momo got most of her good looks from her mother.
Momo giggled before she turned her attention towards Melissa and her friends and teachers from U.A. High School. She then introduced them to her parents, "Everyone, these are my parents, Yaoyorozu Satoru and Yaoyorozu Coco."
Satoru smiled as he bowed politely to the group and said, "It is an honour to meet you all."
Izuku, along with his classmates and schoolmates, bowed in return and said, "Thank you for letting us stay overnight at your home, Yaoyorozu-san."
"You're most welcome, Midoriya Izuku. In fact, we're very thankful that Momo has so many wonderful friends at U.A. High School," replied Satoru.
Shouto stepped forward and said, "Honestly speaking, we're honoured to have her as a friend and a classmate."
Kyouka nodded and said, "She's someone we would have accepted as a dear friend regardless of her social standing."
Satoru looked at Shouto appraisingly and thought, "So that's the boy's who's smitten with my daughter. He's certainly different from Endeavour." He then smiled at the group from U.A. High School and said, "At any rate, I hope that you're all looking forward to the reception party tonight. My wife and I will be there and there's so much for us all to talk about."
Tenya smiled and said, "Of course, Yaoyorozu-san. As the president of Class 1A, I'll make sure that everyone gets to the reception party on time!"
"I may not be as… enthusiastic as Iida-kun here but I'll also make sure that we'll arrive at the party on time," said Itsuka.
It should be noted that the group from U.A. High School had planned to meet at one of the lobby areas of the central tower at 6:30pm so that they could attend the reception party as a whole group.
"Speaking of getting ready for the reception party…" said Coco who then turned her attention towards the Pleiades Combat Maids and said, "Entoma, Yuri, Narberal, Tuareninya, kindly assist Momo and her 'lady friends' so that their dresses are properly fitted for the reception party. Also, don't forget the make-up."
Entoma, Yuri, Narberal and Tuareninya curtsied to Coco and said, "As you wish, Madam."
A short while later, the girls from Classes 1A and 1B, along with Mei, Eri and even Inko, were given the makeover treatment by the Pleiades Combat Maids. As for Melissa, she wanted Izuku to follow her to her lab. Understandably, Ochako, Tsuyu and Himiko were suspicious of what Melissa wanted to do with Izuku but they decided to trust her and let her be alone with him.
--Meanwhile, in David Shield's lab at the central tower…--
David, who had just finished checking on Toshinori's health with the help of a bio-scanning device, was horrified by the results of the scan. It was clear that Toshinori's quirk had weakened drastically recently and was still weakening in spite of various efforts to slow it down. Understandably concerned, David asked, "Even if you were seriously injured during your fight with All For One, that sudden drop in your quirk strength is simply abnormal. What in the world has happened to your body, Toshi?"
Unable to tell David the truth of One For All, including the fact that he had passed the quirk to Izuku, Toshinori instead explained, "If you remain as a pro-hero even after receiving such an injury, your body's bound to break down sooner of later. Besides, that noumu back at the USJ was really powerful and I had to go beyond my limits to defeat it."
Aware of the attack at the USJ by the League of Villains, David decided to accept the answer as it was as he spoke to Toshinori, "At this rate, the Symbol of Peace will be lost. The only reason why Japan only has a 6% crime rate while all the other countries have crimes rates over 20% is because of you." He wore a bitter expression as he continued to speak, "There were so many times that I wished you had just stayed in America."
In spite of the heavy atmosphere, Toshinori smiled as he approached David and placed a comforting hand onto his shoulder. The pro-hero then said, "There's no need to be so pessimistic, Dave. There are many capable pro-heroes and the people who support them just like you. Besides, I'm not ready to quit just yet and I plan to make sure that the next generation will be ready to take my place when the time comes."
"Even so, it's entirely possible that another villain like All For One will appear again somewhere," argued David who then added, "Already, the League of Villains have gained a reputation of turning innocent victims into powerful monsters. If they are not stopped, it'll only be a matter of time before they somehow succeed in creating an even more powerful monster that will be completely loyal to them or at the very least be impossible to save."
"That may be true but there is still hope for the future," said Toshinori who thought of Izuku as he added with conviction in his voice, "I'm sure of it."
Realising that Toshinori was truly confident that there was hope for the future, David sighed and said, "Toshinori, there's something I've been wanting to tell you." He then opened a few pictures on a screen and explained, "Recently, I made a support item called the 'Quirk Amplification Device' that exponentially amplifies a person's quirk without adding additional strain to the user's body. However, my research has been deemed as too dangerous and was confiscated as a result."
Shocked by the revelation, Toshinori asked, "Were you making that device for me?"
David nodded and confessed, "After my research was confiscated, I was seriously considering stealing it so that I could somehow pass it on to you. However, after watching the sports festival, I decided against it." He smiled bitterly and explained, "Midoriya Izuku inspired me to have faith in the future and my daughter had been working on a support item which can potentially be used to help him. Then, the nomu attacks during the boy's internship happened."
"You made a support item for Eri-Shoujo, didn't you?" asked Toshinori who was somehow not surprised that David had suspected that it was a quirk that saved the three noumu-girls who were dying at the time.
"Yes," confirmed David who then showed Toshinori a device which resembled the Quirk Amplification Device but was simpler in design. "Much like the previous device, this device, which I'm calling the 'Quirk Control Device', helps to improve one's quirk except that it focuses on control instead of power. If this device works as intended…"
"Eri-shoujo will be able to use her quirk to heal a person by literally rewinding the person to an uninjured state," said Toshinori who then asked, "Have you tested it yet?"
"Not yet," replied David who then added, "That said, making the Quirk Control Device was a surprisingly simple affair since it has a similar design base to the Quirk Amplification Device. It is also easier to make as it is significantly less complicated to design and build."
Toshinori smiled and said, "Then I look forward to the day when you can give it to Eri-shoujo so that she can master her quirk more easily, Dave."
David smiled in return as he and Toshinori "fist bumped" and said, "And I look forward to seeing the day when your injuries are finally fully healed, Toshi."
--Elsewhere, in Melissa's lab…--
While Melissa was looking for a certain item for Izuku, the boy had to ask, "All Might told me that you were quirkless, much like how I was before I attended U.A. High School. Were you… bullied because of it?"
"Well, not exactly," replied Melissa who then added, "However, there were people who looked down on me or pitied me for being quirkless. It got a lot better as I got older and proved my worth by creating support items for pro-heroes though."
"Did you ever think about becoming a pro-hero?" asked Izuku.
Melissa laughed as she replied, "Who hasn't?" There was sadness in her eyes as she admitted, "When I first found out that I would never be able to develop a quirk, I was in a state of shock as it meant that becoming a pro-heroine was an impossible dream for me." She smiled fondly as she explained, "I still remember Uncle Might telling me that Papa is a hero in his own right because he's the one who made all of his hero-suits for him. His words made me realise that if I couldn't be a pro-hero who fights for peace and justice then I'd be someone who supports the heroes so that they can save everyone and win the day, just like my Papa."
Melissa's bright smile made Izuku smile in return as he spoke to her, "I'm sure that you'll be a great support who'll save many lives in the future, Melissa."
Izuku's heartfelt praise made Melissa blush as she presented him a box and opened it while speaking to him, "A-anyway, I want you to try this support item on."
Izuku's eyes widened as he recognised the item inside and asked, "You're giving me one of the two Full Gauntlets?"
Not surprised by Izuku's shock, Melissa explained, "I've noticed that your quirk is still too strong to be safely used at its fullest capacity so I want you to have it, Dekiru."
"But… isn't it important to you?" asked Izuku.
"That's exactly why I want you to have it," answered Melissa who then added, "If you wear it, I'm sure that you will be able to use your full strength to save others, Dekiru. Besides, I have another one with me so it's not like I'm losing my only working prototype."
Moved by Melissa's faith in him, Izuku smiled in return and said, "Thank you, Melissa." He then followed her instruction to put on the wristband-shaped support item onto his right wrist followed by activating it so that it could transform with the help of mass-shifting technology. The fully activated gauntlet resembled red bandages wrapped around his palm and forearm. He flexed his right hand realised that the Full Gauntlet somehow felt right in spite of wearing it for the first time. Thankful for the gift, Izuku smiled at Melissa and said, "Thank you, Melissa."
The touching moment between Izuku and Melissa was broken when his phone suddenly rang. He answered the call and was shocked to realise that he was already late for the meeting with the others. Melissa giggled as he apologetically left to get dressed before setting off to put on her own formal dress for the reception party.
--Half an hour later…--
By the time Izuku, the girls from Classes 1A and 1B, Mei, Eri, Inko, Entoma, Yuri, Narberal, Tuareninya, Melissa, Constanze, Leeron and Houka arrived at the lobby inside the central tower, it was already past seven. Toshinori, Shouta, Sekijirou and Higari were already attending the reception party together with Yaoyorozu's parents, Sebas and the rest of the Pleiades Combat Maids. As for the boys from Classes 1A and 1B, they had been waiting for the late arrivals.
Understandably, the boys found the girls from Classes 1A and 1B, Mei and Melissa attractive in their formal dresses. Izuku was especially attracted to Ochako, who was wearing a cute pink dress with black silk leggings, Tsuyu, who was wearing an elegant green dress, Himiko, who was wearing a blood-red dress that had a slit on the right side, Wankuro, who was wearing a yellow dress with black tiger stripes, and Melissa, who was wearing a beautiful blue dress. As for Shouto, he was instantly drawn towards Momo, who was wearing a yellow dress which complemented her mature figure, while Eijirou was unable to take his eyes off Mina, who was wearing a turquoise dress, and Nyujou, who was wearing a simple white dress which did nothing to hide her attractive figure. Minoru, who made sure to take note of all the other beautiful ladies in the room, round himself especially drawn towards Ningyou who was dressed in a maroon dress with black frills and long sleeves and striped stockings with black and maroon stripes.
As attractive as the ladies were, there was no denying that Eri was simply adorable with her frilly white dress that made her resemble a fairy tale princess.
Tenya was understandably annoyed as he lectured Izuku and the girls from Classes 1A and 1B, "Honestly, which part of 'attending as a group' don't you understand?"
Izuku laughed sheepishly while Melissa apologised to Tenya, "Please don't be upset with him, Iida-san. I was the one who made him late by having him visit my lab."
Constanze, Leeron and Houka blinked in surprise before they realised what Melissa had done in the lab. They were most certainly going to ask her for details about it. Noticing the look in their eyes, Melissa blushed as she knew that she could not escape from their inquiries for long.
Momo smiled apologetically as she explained, "I apologise for coming here so late, Iida-kun. We had more trouble getting everyone dressed than expected."
Kyouka blushed and said, "We're just not used to being so formally dressed."
Setsuna snickered as she spoke to the boys, "Ochako-chan was really stiff and looked ready to faint while putting on her new dress."
Ochako pouted and argued, "It's a pretty and expensive dress! Of course I'll be nervous about putting it on!"
Itsuka, who was aware that she was supposed to set up a good example for her classmates, laughed sheepishly and said apologetically, "Sorry about it, everyone!"
Neito was about to say something insulting about Momo being responsible for making all the girls late when Kousei smacked the back of his head and said, "Don't even think about it, dude. I doubt the girls will be so jaw-dropping gorgeous without Momo and her maids to help them get dressed."
Although angry that he got interrupted, again, Neito knew that Kousei had a point and thus remained silent with an annoyed huff. The students from Class 1B sighed in aggravation at Neito's antics while Melissa giggled at their comical antics.
Entoma waved her hand and said, "Well, getting everyone to put on their their dresses was hard work but it's certainly a good time."
Narberal nodded and said, "As was making sure all the ladies have their make-up on right."
Yuri adjusted her spectacles and said, "With that said, we should hurry since the party has already started-"
It was at that moment when I-Island suddenly entered a lock-down.
--Meanwhile…--
A tall bulky man with dark red hair, yellow eyes, dark patches of face paint that covered his mouth, nose, and across his right eye and a scar on his left cheek named Wolfram smirked when he heard the "safety announcement" from security system of I-Island. With the help of a certain inventor from I-Island, Wolfram and his men were able to get onto the island and even take over its security system undetected.
Confident that the security system had been successfully taken over by his men, which meant that the main buildings were under lock-down and the security robots were under their control, Wolfram motioned to his other minions to charge into the reception party hall and take the people inside hostage. He grinned cruelly at the shocked and horrified people in the reception party hall as he spoke to them, "As you can clearly see, we have taken over the security system of thus island." Well aware that various pro-heroes were present in the hall, including All Might himself, he pointed at the monitors and warned them, "Don't even think about putting up a fight. If you do, the security robots will attack all the good people on this island. In other words, every person on this island is a hostage, including you."
Suddenly, the restraining devices in the hall activated and restrained all the pro-heroes, Toshinori included. Before any of the pro-heroes could attempt to break free from their restraints, Wolfram shot his gun at the ceiling and warned, "If any of you so much as take a single step to stop us, we'll kill everyone in here." He then kicked down Toshinori who was unable to move and smirked at him while saying, "I'd stay down if I were you, Symbol of Peace."
Once Wolfram's armed men were in position to shoot anyone who resisted, he said, "As long as you stay quite, none of you will be harmed. We're prepared to release you all after we've obtained our objective." Shouta, Sekijirou, Higari, Satoru and Sebas narrowed their eyes as they wondered what exactly the villains were after. Both Toshinori and David on the other hand barely managed to contain their horror as they wondered if Wolfram was referring to the Quirk Amplifcation Device.
Wolfram took notice of a blond man with blue eyes and an overweight build named Samuel Abraham and asked, "You're one of the researchers here, aren't you?"
"Y-yes," confirmed Samuel.
Wolfram turned to some of his men and said, "Take him. We'll need him to get what we came here for."
Although David Shield wanted to help Samuel, who was his research assistant, he did not dare to take any action due to the danger of getting shot or worse by the villains. He gritted his teeth as he thought, "Forgive me, Samuel. I can't allow myself to get killed just yet. If they are indeed after the Quirk Amplification Device, people have to know about it."
As Wolfram's men left the reception hall with Samuel, the lead villain smirked as he was confident that he and his men would be able to leave the island unopposed after obtaining what they were after. Even if things did not go as planned, the "insurance" that he had obtained form a certain "benefactor" would ensure that none of the pro-heroes would be able to stop him.
Little did he know that he was going to need that "insurance" very soon.
--End Chapter--
Author's Notes:
I originally wanted to include the cast from Big Hero Six (Disney Version) into the story but realised that it would not make sense for them to be on I-Island (at least as permanent residents who cannot travel to anywhere else) since it was already stated that the Baymax robot series were made in Francisco back in Chapter 15 of the story. Thankfully, anime has more than enough inventor-type characters to make up for the lack of Big Hero Six characters as shown below:
Constanze Amalie von Braunschbank-Albrechtsberger (Little Witch Academia): She is a short German girl with slightly-tanned skin, navy-blue hair, teal-green eyes and a seemingly perpetual grumpy look on her face. Although a quiet and serious girl who hates to be disturbed while doing her work, she's actually friendly and helpful. Her quirk is [Battery Charger] which allows her to efficiently recharge rechargeable batteries at the cost of physical stamina.
Leeron Littner (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann): He is a tall slender man with green hair, black eyes and a flamboyantly gay demeanour. He's stereotypically campy and gay and enjoys freaking men out but he's also intelligent, rational and capable of being serious when the situation calls for it. His quirk is [Technology Analysis] which allows him to analyse and understand any piece of technology that he comes across. That said, his quirk cannot be used on biological creations and is not reliable when trying to create new technology or analyse damaged technology.
Inumuta Houka (Kill la Kill): He is a young man with teal-blue hair and eyes. His quirk is [Hacker Set] which grants him mutations in his arms so that he could hack into computers with the help of cables hidden in his wrists and customisable keyboard displays on his forearms. He's also a sarcastic person who values his data.
I could have added more another character from Studio Trigger, namely Lucia Fex from 'Promare', but decided against it. Lucia is stated to be someone who has no interests other than her inventions and experiments which is a bit redundant when BNHA already has Hatsume Mei.
As for Momo's parents:
Yaoyorozu Satoru: He is a tall gentleman with black hair, red eyes and a handsome angular face. His quirk, [Golem Creation, allows him to create golems form nearby non-living materials around him such as wood, soil, stones and even bones. For some reason, his golems tend to resemble skeletons or zombies clad in armour and armed with medieval weapons such as swords, bows and clubs. His name was originally Suzuki Satoru but he took on the surname, Yaoyorozu, after marrying his wife, Coco. He is a pro-hero known as [Lich King] but he's not very active due to taking over the Yaoyorozu family business after marrying his wife. (He is based on Suzuki Satoru from 'Overlord'.)
Yaoyorozu Coco: Greatly resembles her daughter, Momo, with an even more mature appearance. She knows Kyouka's mother and is a terrible cook. Her quirk, [Metal Creation, allows her to create anything made from metal including metallic weapons and armour. She's also skilled in using various weapons such as swords, staffs and spears. Although not a pro-heroine herself, her parents used to be pro-heroes before they retired after becoming very rich. (She's a canon character with a non-canon quirk similar to Erza Scarlet's magic from 'Fairy Tail'.)
The next few updates will focus on the I-Island arc of this story, including the immediate aftermath, before I update 'Izuku's Harem Academia' and 'Izuku's Noumu Life'.
Until next time, go beyond, plus ultra!
