Boku no Hero Academia: Izuku's Pet Noumu

Chapter 29: … And One For All!

All For One's shock upon seeing All Might's restored form quickly turned into outrage as he growled, "No… this isn't supposed to happen…" He then charged towards All Might while roaring, "This cannot be!"

Normally, All For One was a calm and confident individual with a condescending demeanour. However, the shocking realisation that One For All, which the villain had been obsessed with as he could not steal it in spite of his past efforts, had evolved beyond even his expectations unnerved him to the core. The fact that All Might, who was supposed to die pathetically by his hand, was able to once again stand in his way only made him even more furious.

Empowered by what could be described as an evolved form of One For All, which not only granted him the quirks of the past users but also a spiritual link with various people, All Might was able to not only see the incoming attack but also respond in kind. The pro-hero confidently charged forward and delivered an uppercut powerful enough to send All For One into the night sky. He then leapt upward, intent on fighting the villain in the air to avoid further collateral damage and casualties.

Under normal circumstances, All Might would not have been able to use the quirks of the past users effectively due to never using them before. However, thanks to his bond with Izuku, who had a natural talent for quirk analysis and a good deal of experience in using most of the said quirks, All Might could focus on fighting All For One while Izuku helped to manage whatever quirk the pro-hero needed to combat the villain. As such, All Might could use [Float] to stay airborne while using [Black Whip] to ensnare his opponent and pull himself towards him.

Although unnerved and furious, All For One was no mere common villain as he quickly broke himself free from Black Whip. He then transformed the right arm of his monstrous vessel into a canon so that he could shoot a powerful shock-wave and knock All Might down into the ground below. However, before All For One could shoot, All Might suddenly flicked his index finger towards him. As All Might flicked his finger, he released a ball of energy which collided into All For One like an explosive missile, throwing off his aim as a result.

Quickly recognising Urameshi Yuusuke's quirk, [Spirit Gun, All For One decided to forgo ranged attacks and transformed the right arm of his vessel into a massive bony blade which sparked with purple electrical energy. He then charged towards All Might with the intention of cleaving him into half. In spite of the villain's obsession with "taking back" One For All, he would rather risk losing the quirk forever than allow All Might to win.

Instead of trying to avoid the attack, All Might deflected it with his left arm. Protected by his suit, which had been transformed and enhanced by [Promare] to be much more durable than usual, All Might was able to successfully deflect the attack before punching All For One's vessel in the chest with his right fist, crushing the chest cavity of both the villain's vessel and his actual body.

Shocked by the damaging attack, All For One reacted desperately and tried to stab All Might with the barbed tail of his vessel. Barely able to see the incoming attack, All Might grabbed onto the tail with his left hand before doing a spin in mid-air to toss All For One aside, away from the mountainous region where the villain's fallen servant, Gigantomachia, lay.

Due to the injury on his chest, which needed a bit of time to heal, All For One was unable to stop All Might from tossing him aside as though he was the "hammer" of an Olympic hammer throwing game. As his chest cavity healed, he created a small shock-wave to stop himself from flying further. He then turned around to face his nemesis onto to end up getting hit by an explosive ball of energy from All Might who had flicked his index finger at him again.

Taking advantage of the fact that All For One had been disorientated by the explosive attack, All Might quickly captured him in with Black Whip before reeling him in. Once the villain was close enough, All Might slammed his knee right into the vessel's stomach. All For One nearly vomited due to the powerful blow but he was able to counter-attack by opening the mouth of his vessel to unleash a powerful beam of energy.

Realising that the attack could cause immense collateral damage, All Might immediately slammed his hand onto the vessel's chin so that the beam would go upwards into the sky. Taking advantage of All Might's moment of vulnerability, All For One broke free from Black Whip and immediately unleashed a powerful shock-wave from both hands to push the pro-hero back. All Might was barely able to avoid slamming into the ground or a building by creating a shock-wave to with his fist to counter the push.

Although All Might was not badly hurt by the blow and could heal his own injuries with [Bio-Repair, he knew that he needed to win the fight quickly before it inevitably caused massive levels of collateral damage and casualties.

"We can't drag on this fight," thought All Might.

"Then we need to call in reinforcements." suggested Izuku.

"I'll take care it," said Ayanami Rei who then added, "The rest of you focus on taking him down for good."

No one disagreed with her as she started using her empowered quirk to call for help…

--Meanwhile, in U.A. High School…--

Teachers and students alike were staring at the glowing dorm building, Dorm 1A, and were wondering what in the world was happening when copies of a particular phantom suddenly appeared before some of them, mainly the students of Class 1B, the "villains on parole" and the pro-heroes who also worked as teachers and staff of the school.

Shocked by the sudden appearance of the phantoms, no one knew what to expect or do. Thankfully, the phantoms seemed to understand their complete bewilderment and explained, "I'm a friend of All Might and Midoriya Izuku. We need your help to stop that villain, All For One, quickly before he has a chance to cause unimaginable damage."

Monoma, who was understandably distrustful towards the phantom, asked, "Who are you and why should we trust you?"

"She is trustworthy," said Kaneki Hikari who then explained, "Met her before."

"Helped us before," said Tora.

Surprised, Pony asked, "When?"

"Summer camp," answered Rika who then explained, "Mind fight."

"You mean like another pro-hero who helped Midoriya-kun calm you down back in summer camp?" asked Setsuna. Like many other students from Class 1B, she was confused by the revelation as she was sure that she had not met such a pro-hero during the summer camp incident.

"Long story," said Midori.

Although plagued by uncertainty, Itsuka knew that the noumu-girls would not have lied about the phantoms. Granted, she had not known them for a long time but there was simply no way for the noumu-girls to make a believable lie about the situation. As such, she asked the phantom that stood before her, "You said that you need our help to stop that villain. What do you need us to do?"

The phantom smiled at her and offered her hand for Itsuka to hold. Itsuka hesitated for a moment before she held onto the phantom's ethereal hand. Her world was filled with light as she formed a link with the phantom whose name was Ayanami Rei.

It should be made clear that Izuku's friends and teachers from U.A. High School were not the only ones whom Ayanami Rei had reached out to…

--Back to All Might and All For One…--

After finally getting some distance between himself and All Might, All For One composed himself and growled, "You heroes are all the same. Fools who fight for 'justice and morality' while refusing to accept reality."

All Might, and Daigorou, grinned audaciously and argued, "So says the villain who wants to take over the world but, unless we're mistaken, has completely failed to realise just how badly his misdeeds will bite him in the ass."

Angered by the stinging rebuke, especially since he could not deny the truth that even other villains were opposed against him, All For One yelled as he charged towards All Might by creating shock-waves for propulsion, "Don't act as though you heroes have never failed or made mistakes!" All Might was barely able to block the villain's fist as he continued to yell, "We both know that you and that wretched woman have failed to protect and save her son, as well as the rest of his family, All Might!"

Pushed back by the punch, All Might used a burst of One For All to stop himself from getting pushed back further. Taking advantage of All Might's momentary distraction, All For One quickly flew around the pro-hero through the use of his shock-waves to attack him from behind.

Unable to deny All For One's cruel statement, All Might wore a sad smile as he, and Nana said, "You're right. Even heroes can fail and make unforgivable mistakes." His smile then turned into a determined grin as he, and Nana, argued, "However, even if it's to atone for past mistakes and failures, true heroes never stop fighting for what is right!" He then spun around and delivered a powerful heel kick to counter All For One's charge. Unprepared for the unexpected move, All For One was unable to even make a scathing response before All Might kicked him in the face. All Might then captured the stunned villain with Black Whip so that he could pull him towards himself and punch him repeatedly in a manner not unlike a paddle ball.

In a moment of desperation and anger, All For One decided to take a risk and put the majority of his quirks into his vessel, thus empowering it even further. The action also caused the vessel to become even larger and more monstrous than before with bony and metallic protrusions, multiple limbs joining together to form a singular body and multiple eyes in places where they could not be.

Shocked by the horrifying transformation, All Might was unable to stop All For One's empowered vessel from breaking free from his Black Whip. The villain then moved at a speed that was even faster than before to grab All Might before tossing him into the ground below. After All Might was slammed into the ground as though he was a falling meteorite, All For One growled, "What 'heroic' nonsense. The only thing that matters in this world is power. Without it, NONE of us will be able to enforce our ideals!" His right arm started to grow even larger and more grotesque as he continued to speak, "I was born in the days when quirks first arose, when people with quirks brought chaos to a society that was not prepared for them! Only by accumulating power and followers did I succeed in bringing any semblance of order during that chaotic era!" He then dove towards All Might with the intention of finally killing him with his enlarged right first and shouted, "I refuse to accept your pathetic delusions as truth!" Unable to avoid the incoming attack from above, All Might had no choice but to counter the villain's punch with his own right fist. All For One and All Might's fists collided into one another, thus creating an explosive shock-wave that shook buildings as a result. As the pro-hero struggled to stand his ground, All For One yelled, "With the quirks and followers in my possession, I WILL rebuild my empire to enforce my ideals and destroy any who dares to stand in my way, starting with you, All Might!"

Unexpectedly, All Might smiled as he, and the First Holder whose real name was Shigaraki Yoichi, said, "No, you won't."

Suddenly, beams of light emerged from various places throughout Japan and even I-Island to empower All Might. Empowered by the beams of light, which came from the various people whom Rei had reached out for help, including the students of Class 1B, the teachers and staff of U.A. High School, Hatsume Mei, various pro-heroes, Momo's parents and servants, Tsuyu's parents, Kyouka's parents, Ochako's parents, Katsuki's parents, five residents of I-Island, two detectives and even the Brotherhood of Shadows, All Might stood tall and proud in spite of All For One's efforts.

Shocked that All Might was getting even stronger, All For One asked, "How…? How are you able to keep standing against me?" Furious anger consumed him as he yelled, "Why won't you just accept reality and die already?!"

Power surged through All Might as he, and Kamina, yelled, "That's because we are not alone!" With the surge of power, the pro-hero suddenly punched through the right arm of All For One's vessel, effectively destroying it along with a portion of the villain's actual right arm. Although shocked by the sudden turn of events, All For One refused to admit defeat so he transformed the left arm of his vessel into a massive claw while the bladed barb of its tail changed into a scythe-like blade. Not intimidated by the two-pronged attack, All Might easily deflected them with his fists before kicking All For One into the sky with a well-placed kick to the chin. As the villain was launched upwards, the pro-hero followed suit with a mighty leap to continue the fight in the air.

All For One was barely able to stop his involuntary ascent before All Might appeared before him and hit him with a rapid barrage of punches that shattered bones and crushed flesh. Against just about any other enemy, such blows could be considered overkill. However, given All For One's power and resilience, All Might and the people who were bonded to him knew that the villain was far from defeated. Indeed, as the villain was getting pummelled, All For One's vessel suddenly reformed itself into a monstrous ball of flesh with bladed tentacles. The tentacles then lashed out to slash and stab All Might.

While dodging the tentacles with controlled bursts of One For All as a form of propulsion, All Might used Spirit Gun to shoot penetrating "energy bullets" at All For One. Since the energy bullets had penetrating power, they easily tore through several tentacles before hitting the main body of the vessel. However, the main body of the vessel quickly grew armour plating to better withstand the attacks. In spite of the grim situation, All Might's smile never wavered as he, and Tsunade, said, "You may possess multiple quirks but, unless those quirks were given to you willingly, they have never been and will never be truly yours!"

Recalling the "dreams" he had due to taking quirks from other people, All For One roared in rage, "Humanity only obeys those who have the power to manipulate and intimidate them! You, who achieved this so-called peace by lying to the public and oppressing those who wish disturb it for years, should understand this reality better than anyone!" A massive maw appeared on All For One's ball-shaped vessel to unleash a powerful burst of energy. Realising the danger, All Might used Promare so that his right "gauntlet" could transform into what was basically an arm-canon with his index finger as the "barrel". He then shot a beam of energy at the same time as All For One. Both energy attacks soon collided into each another, effectively nullifying each other as a result.

Before All For One could respond, All Might transformed the "gauntlet" on his left arm so that he could shoot another powerful shot from his left index finger. All For One barely avoided the attack, which still managed to burn through a portion his vessel, while All Might, and Yuusuke, argued, "People are not mere tools for ANYONE to control!"

All For One's vessel grew wings to quickly fly around All Might while attacking him from all directions with bony projectiles in an attempt to wear him down. To distract the villain, All Might changed his "arm-cannons" back into "gauntlets" so that he could flick his index fingers multiple times to release balls of energy which then exploded like flash grenades. Disorientated by the explosions, All For One was unable to avoid getting of his vessel right wing caught by Black Whip. All Might then reeled the villain towards himself before getting punched with enough force to nearly force his actual body out of his vessel. Although badly damaged by the blow, All For One was able to transform the left wing of his vessel into a sharp blade to decapitate All Might. The pro-hero was barely able to avoid the attack while All For One literally ripped off the ensnared wing of his vessel so that he could get some distance between himself and his nemesis. As All For One backed away, his vessel transformed into a humanoid shape. Although noticeably smaller than before due to the damage it had sustained, the vessel was still dangerous and able to protect the villain's main body.

"Justice and morality are nothing more than pretty delusions to appease the mindless masses!" yelled All For One. Power then gathered in the clawed hands of his vessel as he continued, "There are only two kinds of people in this world, the strong and the weak! By 'defending the weak', you heroes are basically allowing those below you to drag you down to their level of mediocrity, weakness and inferiority!" Once his attack was ready, he charged towards All Might while yelling, "The weak will ALWAYS be the victims while the strong take what they want from them! That is the reality of life itself!"

As All For One charged towards All Might, the pro-hero, and Izuku, calmly replied, "You're right, humans are not born equal in this world." The pro-hero's eyes then shone with burning determination as he, and all the users of One For All, spoke in unison, "However, that's exactly why heroes exist!"

Power surged through All Might as he charged towards All For One in kind, their fists colliding into each other once again. Shock-waves erupted from the clashing fists, causing buildings to shake once again. Unlike before, both All Might and All For One were putting everything they had into their attack with the intention of finally ending the fight as they continued to trade punches which could destroy entire cities.

In spite of the situation, All Might, as well as Kamina, was able to speak, "You claim that the strong are destined take what they want form the weak, but you refuse to accept that they can also CHOOSE to help the weak!"

"Helping the weak is a means of manipulating them! Why should ANYONE see it as anything else?!" yelled All For One.

All Might, and Nana, argued, "The fact that you can't even answer that simple question speaks volumes of YOUR weakness as a person!"

All Might, and Tsunade, argued, "Even the strongest of heroes and villain cannot oppose the passage of time! Eventually, they will weaken and die, just like everyone else! At the same time, the weak can learn, grow and become strong as long as they have the will to do so!"

Thinking that he had just gained the upper hand, All For One laughed as he said mockingly, "You fools, such 'laws or nature' do not apply to me! I have collected quirks that have granted me immortality and an undying body! As long as I add more quirks to my collection, I will never weaken and die!"

Refusing to let All For One have a chance to argue or fight back, All Might, and Yoichi, argued, "True heroes may not live forever but that does not mean that their efforts and sacrifices are for nothing! As long as they bring hope and inspiration to the people that they help and protect, there will always be those who will take their place to protect the innocent, to uplift the weak, to guide the lost, to inspire the hopeless, to mend the broken and to vanquish the evil!"

"The wishes of those who have fallen…" said the past users of All For One who had died and Saitama.

"The determination of those who are alive now…" said the pro-heroes and other adults of the current era who were bonded to All Might.

"And the hopes of those who will follow…" said the hero-students and children of the current era who were bonded to All Might.

"With those three thoughts, and the will that has been passed down from the dawn of quirks to this very era, we will stop you, All For One!" said all the users of All For One.

"That is what it means to go beyond!" said All Might.

"That is what it means to be a hero!" said Izuku.

"That is what it means to go… PLUS ULTRA!" yelled Izuku and All Might.

As All For One's fist collided into All Might's own fist, the villain suddenly saw an image which shocked him. The image was his mind-scape, filled with the vestiges of the people whose quirks he had forcefully stolen. Leading the said vestiges were not only Rei but also the noumu-girls. Horror filled his mind as he recalled the day when he tried to take Wankuro's quirk, [Indomitable Spirit, by force. Her quirk not only attacked him from within but also nearly "awakened" his collection of quirks.

Considering the fact that the majority of the quirks in his collection were forcibly taken from their original users, it was no wonder why All For One feared the possibility of the quirks "awakening" and turning against him.

As the images of Rei and the noumu-girls disappared to return back to All Might, All For One faced the vestiges and yelled desperately, "If you allow that hero to kill me, we'll all be dead!"

"That's a small price to pay to get even with the bastard who has either killed us, made our lives hell or manipulated us into becoming his expendable tools," said one of the vestiges.

Fear threatened to consume All For One as the villain yelled, "Your quirks belong to me! I OWN you!"

"Not any more, you ass-hole," said a vestige.

As All For One felt his control over the quirks that he had stolen, including his ability to control his vessel, All For One screamed in mortal terror of the incoming attack which, from his point of view, looked like hundreds of fists merging into a single massive fist to strike him down like the wrath of an angry deity, "No… no… NO!!!"

Aware of All For One's failing control over the quirks that he had collected, All Might, Izuku, the past users of All For One, Saitama, and all the people who were bonded to him, yelled in unison as they channelled the last of his strength with theirs into one final attack:

"ULTRA!"

"UNITED!"

"STATES!"

"OF!"

"SMASH!!!"

Without the majority of the quirks in his collection, All For One was helpless as All Might's fist tore through his vessel before destroying his entire body. In fact, the punch had so much power that both the villain and his vessel essentially disintegrated as they were blown away by it, the bodily pieces scattered too far and too badly damaged to be of any "scientific uses". A blinding flash of light filled the night sky as All For One was finally destroyed.

After destroying All For One and his vessel, All Might silently thought, "Goodbye, All For One."

People throughout Japan, as well as the rest of the world, watched in fearful silence as the blinding weather-altering shock-wave created by All Might's punch died down. Aware of the lingering fear that still clung onto their hearts, All Might smiled at the people who had been broadcasting his fight with All For One struck a pose while saying, Never fear…"

Suddenly, numerous "sparks" of different-coloured bright lights appeared around the pro-hero, thus creating an image which could understandably be deemed as "downright divine", as he spoke, "-for WE ARE HERE!"

Many people who were watching the fight from throughout the world cheered and cried as they realised that the pro-hero had, beyond a word of doubt, saved the day yet again.

However, as the moment of glory passed, All Might descended onto the ground, his body slowly deflating back to his true skeletal form. Once his feet touched the ground, the light that had been enveloping his body separated itself from him to form a small orb of multi-coloured light. In spite of losing his power, All Might smiled at the orb and said softly , "Now… it's your turn, everyone."

The people who were watching the scene continued to stare in wonder as the light gently floated into the air before exploding into a blinding flash of light, scattering its "pieces" back to where they came from. As All Might watched the "pieces of light" fly back, he took note of the ones that were flying back to the dorms of U.A. High School and said, "Farewell, One For All."

A moment later, Miruko landed next to All Might and spoke with a solemn expression on her face, "Hate to break it to you, but we still have a lot of people to save." She was soon followed by other pro-heroes, including the Big Three. Lagging behind them was Endeavour who was honestly shell-shocked by what he had witnessed.

Although essentially quirkless due to finally losing the last of his power, All Might smiled at the rabbit-themed heroine and said, "Then let's not waste any more time, everyone." No one said a word as he, along with the other pro-heroes, did everything they could to rescue and evacuate the remaining civilians. Even the Brotherhood of Shadows and Splinter Cell did what they could to help the trapped civilians in secret.

It would be a long night before the pro-heroes could be given a chance to rest.

--At Dorm 1A…--

Izuku, along with everyone else in the dorm building, woke up with a gasping start. They then watched the television set and, to their joy, realised that All Might had indeed saved the day with their help. Tears welled up in their eyes as friends and loved ones hugged one another in the simple joy of knowing that good had once again triumphed over evil. Students from Class 1B, Mei, Emiko's parents and even the staff of U.A. High School soon entered the building to join in the joyous celebration.

Although the Symbol of Peace was truly gone and the following days would undoubtedly be filled with uncertainty and fear, there was genuine hope for a brighter future.

--The following day…--

Thanks to his temporary power boost, All Might did not suffer any new injuries in spite of his recent fight with All For One. That said, he was still exhausted as he had worked all night to help with the rescue and evacuation efforts. Although he had lost One For All, no one had the desire to disrespect the man who had essentially vanquished a near-literal demon lord of a villain.

Working for an entire night was not the only reason why All Might was exhausted. Even though All For One had been slain, Shigaraki Tomura and his followers, including the men responsible for creating the noumus, were still at large. The fact that Tomura was Nana's grandson weighed heavily on the pro-hero's conscious.

Back when All Might was bonded to the people who helped him to defeat All For One, Nana made it clear that Tomura's fall to villainy was ultimately her own fault. Considering that she was the one who had given her own son away for adoption after the tragic death of her husband, followed by forbidding both All Might and Grand Torino from getting into contact with him, it was not hard to imagine why she felt that she should take all the blame. However, it did not change the fact that Tomura and his League of Villains had to be stopped somehow.

"If you're thinking about stopping Shigaraki all by yourself, you can forget about it, Toshinori," said Gran Torino who had just entered the room All Might (a.k.a. Yagi Toshinori) was in. While the younger pro-heroes were still busy with rescue work and suppression of criminal activities, Gran Torino was allowed to rest due to his old age and close association with All Might. The old pro-hero frowned bitterly as he continued to speak, "That villain hates you and everything that you stand for and, like it or not, you no longer have the power to stop him and his followers."

"I know," replied All Might before he sighed and added, "But it doesn't change the fact that something has to be done to stop him."

"True, but that doesn't mean that you can't entrust that duty to the other pro-heroes and the police force," said Gran Torino who then smiled and added, "We're in no shortage of willing hands at the moment in case you haven't noticed."

All Might, who knew exactly what Gran Torino was talking about, chuckled and replied, "There's that."

--Meanwhile, on I-Island…--

David Shield was storming towards the airport of the artificial island so that he could take a direct flight to Japan. Following behind him were Melissa Shield, Constanze Amalie von Braunschbank-Albrechtsberger, Leeron Littner and Inumuta Houka.

As All Might's former sidekick and friend, it was understandable that David Shield was tempted to give the pro-hero a good punch in the face before giving him a hug after learning so much about him, his quirk and his unique relationship with Izuku.

--In Deika City…--

"So none of you have 'bonded' with All Might?" asked Rikiya (a.k.a. Re-Destro).

"Unfortunately, no," said Geten (a.k.a. Iceman) who then added bitterly, "Though, considering the lack of positive interaction with the pro-heroes and hero-students, it's not particularly surprising in hindsight."

"That's quite all right," assured Rikiya who then said, "With the Symbol of Peace rendered powerless and the League of Villains leaderless, we have a chance of winning our freedom."

"Do you intend to strike now then?" asked Geten who honestly sounded weary after spending the whole night fighting against a powerful giant villain and noumus followed by rescuing people, especially fellow members of the Meta Liberation Army.

Rikiya shook his head and said, "As tempting as it is, a significant portion of our members are in no condition to fight another battle. Besides, after watching that fight between All Might and All For One, I honestly don't feel like causing any more conflict."

Understanding Rikiya's reasoning, Geten asked rhetorically, "Another day then?"

Rikiya nodded and replied, "It's the least we can do to repay the heroes for taking down that… monster." As much as Rikiya hated to admit it, it could be argued that All For One represented the worst aspects of the Meta Liberation Army's ideals. Never mind turning unwilling children into living weapons, even the remains of the dead were not spared by him.

A moment of silence passed before Geten asked, "Do you think we will end up losing even more followers after this event?"

"It's… a possibility," admitted Rikiya. Although All Might had defeated One For All, the horrifying images of the villain's monstrous forms and the abuse of the powers he had stolen from others with his own quirk simply could not be ignored. Even Rikiya himself was deeply shaken by the villain's power, misdeeds and beliefs.

"Then I suppose we should focus on damage control then?" asked Geten.

"As well as prepare for any possible attacks from the pro-heroes and their allies," said Rikiya. While the League of Villains was still at large, there was no way the pro-heroes would ignore the Meta Liberation Army for long.

"Do you think they will agree to not arrest us all as long as we continue cooperating with them to take down the League of Villains?" asked Geten.

"They might, but I doubt that they will allow us to act freely," replied Rikiya who then chuckled and added, "That being said, I'll take forming a peaceful alliance with them over fighting with them and giving the League of Villains the chance to win instead of us."

"No argument there," agreed Geten who then said, "Besides, as much as I hate to say this, I don't think the pro-heroes are as weakened as some are assuming right now."

"You're referring to that light that gave All Might his 'second wind' aren't you?" asked Rikiya.

Geten nodded and said, "While All Might will no doubt retire soon, whoever created that light is still at large and may very well rise to take his place as a new symbol for the pro-heroes."

Rikiya, who had already suspected that the light belonged to someone from U.A. High School, nodded and said, "My thoughts exactly. I've already instructed Skeptic (a.k.a. Tomoyasu) and Curious (a.k.a. Chitose) to investigate the matter as well as track down the League of Villains."

"Then we will have to wait for them to give us the results of their investigations," said Geten.

"Speaking of waiting, you are your team are to stay hidden and rest for the rest of the day. Assuming that nothing noteworthy happens tomorrow, you may resume with your given duties until further notice," said Rikiya.

"Understood," replied Geten who was determined to locate the remnants of the League of Villains and take them down for good.

--At the outskirts of Wobani City…--

"So… you're actually Endeavour's first-born son," said Stain.

Dabi, whose real name was Todoroki Touya, nodded and said, "The reason why I became a villain was because I wanted to make my old man suffer for all the pain he, and the rest of hero society, has caused me."

"And you would have joined even the likes of the League of Villains had their treatment of the wilful-noumus not reminded you too much of your own past for your liking," said Spinner.

Dabi did not bother to argue with Spinner's statement as he knew that the Brotherhood of Shadows, along with Shouto, Momo and Izuku, had seen his memories during the time when he was bonded to All Might.

It should be made clear that Rei had decided not to contact Endeavour due to her distrust towards the man who had abused his own family. Other people whom Rei had decided not to contact included the family members of Izuku's classmates whom he had not met personally, including Shouto's civilian mother and two elder siblings, younger children who were not inside Dorm 1A at the time, such as Tsuyu's younger siblings, and, quite understandably, basically everyone from Aldera Junior High. In fact, the only reason why Katsuki was among the people who had bonded with All Might was because he was caught in the "initial explosion".

Resigned to whatever judgement he was about to face, Dabi asked, "So, what do you intend to do to me?"

A moment of silence passed before Stain sighed and said, "With Gentle Criminal, La Brava and Jinx deciding to turn themselves in and work alongside with the pro-heroes at U.A. High School, we're a bit lacking in manpower at the moment. Besides, given your messed up family history, as well as our statuses as villains, it's not as though any of us has any right to criticize you for wanting to destroy society at the time when you first joined us."

"Had I known the true extent of the abuse he had done to his own family, I would have killed him myself if I could," said Blood Monk.

"Not to mention that your desire to take down Endeavour is very much aligned to our own goals as well," said Mr. Compress.

Recalling that the Brotherhood of Shadows was a group formed to take down both false heroes and irredeemably evil villains, Dabi chuckled and said, "So, what's the plan now, Stain?"

"Now that society has lost its Symbol of Peace, there will be a lot more conflict than before which means that the pro-heroes may not be able to stop the League of Villains from rebuilding their strength," said Stain.

"In other words, we will continue to help them locate and take down the League of Villains while continuing with our original objectives," said Long Strider.

Stain nodded before he got up and said, "Let's keep moving. We will rest after we put some more distance between ourselves and that city."

No one disagreed with Stain as the Brotherhood of Shadows continued their journey to their next destination…

--At U.A. High School…--

Although the students of Classes 1A and 1B, Mei, Emiko's parents, Inko and the present staff of U.A. High School were still exhausted, no one complained as they gathered at the hall of the school. After all, they were all bonded to All Might to help him defeat All For One and, through the bond, learnt about the secret of One For All.

Nedzu, who was currently drinking coffee instead of his usual tea so that he could stay awake and be able to work in spite of his exhaustion, said, "I don't think I need to remind you all that One For All must be kept a secret for the sake of preventing society from collapsing even further than it already has."

Although no one disagreed with Nedzu, there were those who had questions as Tenya asked, "What of the Brotherhood of Shadows?"

"Given Stain's admiration towards All Might and Midoriya-kun, I doubt he will reveal the secret to anyone," said Nedzu who then added, "As for the rest of the brotherhood, including a few members who will be joining this school before long, I have confidence that they too will help to keep the truth a secret."

"Will the affected families have to stay at the dorms now that they know the secret, kero?" asked Tsuyu. Ochako and Kyouka were similarly concerned.

Nedzu hummed as he thought about the matter before he replied, "That is something that needs to be addressed carefully. On one hand, pre-emptively getting them to stay here for their own safety will only make their involvement to the fight all the more obvious to anyone who is already suspicious of them, never mind the fact that doing so will most certainly affect their lives. On the other hand, given the scattering of the lights after the fight as seen in the recorded videos, never mind the fact that Dorm 1A was practically glowing for a significant period of time, it might be already too late to prevent other people from getting suspicious."

"Thankfully, Ayanami-san only contacted a few of the parents and left out the civilian children so housing shouldn't be too complicated even if we have to house all of them here," said Cementoss who was also drinking some coffee.

Momo raised her hand and said, "If I may offer a suggestion, I can contact my parents to see if they can help the families involved. They know the secret as well and have the resources to help them if needed. At the very least, my mother knows Jirou-chan's mother."

Nedzu smiled as he nodded and said, "That would be most helpful, Yaoyorozu-kun." The other pro-heroes in the hall, including Midnight, Thirteen, Vlad King and Present Mic, were similarly grateful.

"What about the media?" asked Itsuka who then added, "Even if they're still busy going over All Might's fight with All For One, there's no way they won't ask questions about the light and our involvement with it."

"There's also the matter about the Meta Liberation Army," said Izuku who frowned as he recalled how they had affected his middle high school life and added, "They may be willing to help us stop the League of Villains but they'll surely turn on us once they have the chance to do so."

"Never mind the remaining members of the League of Villains," said Minoru.

"Or Endeavour," said Momo who was aware of Shouto's family circumstances even before All Might's fight with All For One. Although there was a need for a new No.1 pro-hero, there was no denying that Endeavour was a bad choice due to what he had done to his own family.

"Unfortunately, you're right to be concerned about these matters. That being said, the pro-heroes, police force and Hero Public Safety Commission will handle them. Recent revelations notwithstanding, do not forget that you are still students and civilians," said Midnight.

"In other words, we won't be involved even if we want to help," said Eijirou who was not particularly happy about the stated fact.

"Indeed," confirmed Nedzu who then added, "To be fair though, you all have done a lot already. Besides, we need you to stay low for the next few weeks until the whole situation blows over and we can come up with a plausible story for both the police force and the Hero Public Safety Commission without revealing the truth of One For All. Do not forget that unauthorised quirk usage was involved when you all helped All Might that night."

"Yeah, I doubt many of us can help with coming up with a plausible excuse for THAT," said Denki.

"Never mind the fact that we did that night was… 'technically illegal' at the very least," agreed Kousei.

"An act that toes the line into abyssal unlawfulness," said Fumikage.

"Yet necessary to ensure the coming of a dazzling new dawn," said Yuuga.

"One that I pray will be deemed as a forgiveable sin in the eyes of heaven," said Ibara while holding her hands in prayer.

"Fortunately, the incident can be considered as an unintentional quirk activation due to extreme stress," said Thirteen who then added, "Also, given the circumstances, I doubt many people will actually want to press charges against the people responsible for helping All Might save Japan if not the world."

"That being said though, they will definitely want answers on who's responsible for the light," said Present Mic.

"And it won't be just the authorities and the civilians either," added Vlad King. Everyone understood what the pro-hero meant as there was no doubt that various villains would want to know the information as well.

"So, long story short, we're going to stay at the dorms while you and the other pro-heroes deal with the media, the Meta Liberation Army, the League of Villains and Endeavour," said Mina who frowned at the idea of the pro-heroes having to deal with so much work.

"That's got to suck," said Setsuna.

"If it makes you feel any better, you can request for permission to hold an activity as long as it is done within the school grounds and does not involve intentionally causing another incident," said Nedzu. He then smiled at Mina and said, "I'm aware that at least some of you wish to have a 'proper summer camp' within the school grounds."

Surprised, Pony asked, "Are you sure it's good thinking?"

"Tsunotori-san's grammar aside, she has a point," said Juurouta who then asked, "Won't it be a bother for all of you?"

"Considering that you are effectively under 'house arrest' during this stressful period, letting you have at least a little bit fun is the least I can offer to make up for it," replied Nedzu who then said, "Besides, as I have said before, you have done a lot already. Had you not gotten involved in that fight…" No more words were needed as everyone knew that All For One would have killed All Might.

Shinsou sighed and said, "I don't know about you guys, but if we're allowed to do what we want within reason, I'm planning to laze around today."

"Good idea," agreed Wankuro who yawned sleepily as she also wanted to rest.

"We can plan out the 'summer camp-slash-celebration' event later," said Mina.

"Sounds like a plan," said Tooru who was lacking her usual energy.

Nedzu and the other staff members of the school smiled as they noticed most of the students and parents becoming more cheerful. Although the future was still uncertain, they had faith that the students and their families would be fine.

As the parents and students started to leave the hall, Nedzu called out to Katsuki, "Bakugou-kun, I would like to have a word with you in private."

--A short while later…--

Katsuki scowled as he sat down in Nedzu's office. Between the quirked animal's position as the principal of U.A. High School and the recent revelation about Izuku, Katsuki had no desire to argue with the pro-hero.

"I trust that you will not do anything that will put Midoriya-kun and his family at risk in spite of your animosity towards him," said Nedzu.

"I still hate Deku but I'm no fucking snitch," growled Katsuki who, in spite of despising Izuku, admired All Might too much to do anything against him even if indirectly.

Like everyone else who had bonded to All Might during the fight, Katsuki knew about Izuku's relationship with the pro-hero and the quirk, One For All. What had truly shaken Katsuki however was the fact that Izuku once considered him as a friend and person to admire until he realised that Katsuki truly did not care about him. In other words, Katsuki's belief that Izuku had been looking down on him in spite of being quirkless was actually false until that day when Izuku finally decided to stop trying to salvage his broken friendship with the blond boy. Although there was no denying that Katsuki had hated Izuku for a long time, even he realised the irony of his estranged relationship with Izuku.

What would Katsuki's life had been like if he had been willing to accept Izuku's attempts to be his friend?

Sensing Katsuki's conflicted state, Nedzu asked, "Is there anything you want to ask before you leave? I can tell that you have a lot of questions so I will answer what I can before I start dealing with other matters of importance."

Although Katsuki hated to appear weak, he still needed to know the truth and thus asked, "Why am I even allowed to study here?"

"Well, for starters, you wanted to be a pro-hero and, recent circumstances aside, you're not lacking in potential," said Nedzu.

Katsuki narrowed his eyes as he bitterly argued, "A fuck ton of people would argue otherwise."

"Which, given your 'colourful personality', isn't exactly without justification," agreed Nedzu who then said, "However, please understand that this school does more than just train people to be stronger as pro-heroes. It's also a place for people to learn what it actually means to be a true hero and how to act like one."

"You mean like that grape-head?" asked Katsuki who recalled how absolutely pathetic Minoru used to be.

"Exactly," answered Nedzu who was honestly happy with Minoru's improvement. The principal's eyes eyes narrowed as he warned Katsuki, "Make no mistake though, your past actions, including suicide-baiting Midoriya-kun, have generally been anything but heroic. Like it or not, the truth is now known to not only the students of Classes 1A and 1B but also various pro-heroes including the Big Three and members of the current Top Ten. While I have no intention of expelling you, partly due to complications that doing so will inevitably cause since you now know the truth, I have no intention of letting you remain in the hero course without making sure that you will not become the same as Endeavour or worse."

A moment of silence passed before Katsuki asked, "I… have a long way to go before I can really be called a pro-hero, don't I?"

"Yes, you do," confirmed Nedzu who then smiled and said, "However, the fact that you've realised it means that you're finally taking the first step that will hopefully help you become a true hero."

Although Katsuki still had a lot of questions, most of them required asking All Might directly so he said, "Then I'll have to work my ass off even harder than before to be that hero." He then got up and said, "Like it or not, shit will hit the fan and I refuse to be left behind again."

"Then I wish you the best of luck, Bakugou-kun," said Nedzu.

After Katsuki had left the office, Nedzu sighed and thought, "Thank goodness that he's taking it better than I have initially feared. If he had refused to accept his faults, I would have been forced to do worse than just expel him." The principal of U.A. High School then made several phone calls with various people of interest. There was much to do and time was of the essence…

--Meanwhile, in Izuku's room…--

Since everyone was tired, it was generally agreed that the students from Classes 1A and 1B would rest for the day before making any plans for having their own private summer camp. That being said, many of the students made sure to contact their parents to assure them that they were fine. In Ochako, Tsuyu, Kyouka and Katsuki's case, there was the matter of letting them know about getting support from either U.A. High School or Momo's family to ensure their safety.

Izuku, who wanted to check on Melissa, got a message that she, along with her friends and father, would soon arrive in Japan to meet up with All Might before going straight to U.A. High School. He blushed as he realised that she had every intention of joining the "cuddle pile". Melissa's stated desire made Izuku realise that Miruko would most likely demand her snuggles as well before long.

Speaking of cuddle piles, Izuku was currently lying on some futon mattresses with Wankuro, Himiko, Ochako and Tsuyu. As for Eri, Aoi, Kumoko, Ouka, Sakino and Kouta, they were sleeping on a separate set of futon mattresses together with Inko who was happy to pamper them with motherly affection.

Wankuro, who was unable to sleep in spite of feeling tired, sighed and said, "It's over… He's gone…"

"Good riddance," said Himiko who frowned bitterly at her share of painful memories as a noumu.

Well aware of Wankuro and Himiko's past mistreatment by All For One and his followers, Izuku nodded and said, "For now. We will need to take care of the rest of the League of Villains, including the scientist responsible for turning you and so many others into noumus."

"That may be true, but at least we can afford to rest for a little while," said Ochako while nuzzling into Izuku's chest. She then added, "I just hope that things will work out in the end."

"You and me both, kero," agreed Tsuyu who was nuzzling against Izuku's abs.

"We can worry about it later. Right now, I just want to rest with you all by my side," said Izuku.

None of the four girls who were hugging him complained as they held onto him intimately before going to sleep.

Inko smiled as she watched her son and four "future wives" sleep together. Although worried for the future, she knew that they would be fine as long as they, and a few more "loving companions", had one another. Feeling tired herself, she yawned before allowing herself to fall asleep while being surrounded by the sleeping younger children. As her eyes closed, she thought, "I hope that Toshinori-kun will be able to come back soon."

It should be noted that various couples were also sleeping together in Dorm 1A. Although nothing… sexual had occurred yet, it was only a matter of time before the younger couples decided to explore the more erotic aspects of romance.

--Elsewhere, in a hidden location…--

Tomura glared at the newspaper which stated that All Might had slain All For One and growled, "It must have been that damned brat!"

"Who?" asked Sakon (a.k.a. Siamese).

"That party member-stealing bastard, Midoriya Izuku!" yelled Tomura as he disintegrated the newspaper.

"Not that I don't hate him myself, but why him in particular?" asked Hari (a.k.a. Chronostasis).

"That brat's the reason why Hellhound turned against us and why we kept on losing more and more of our wilful-noumus to the pro-heroes," explained Tomura who then added, "I won't put it past him to be somehow being responsible for making Sensei lose."

"Wait, are you telling me that he's probably the one who gave All Might that crazy OP power up?!" asked Kidoumaru (a.k.a. Gold Weaver).

"If not him, then at least someone whom he knows," growled Tomura who started to scratch his neck in aggravation. He then complained, "As we are now, we can't even start making more noumus or reliably gain new party members let alone destroy him and the rest of this fucking society!"

"That may be true, Shigaraki-kun," said Kyuudai (a.k.a. The Doctor) who then grinned and added, "However, not all of the corpse-noumus were in Wobani City."

Surprised, Tomura stopped scratching his neck and asked, "Are you implying that Sensei has left some elsewhere as reserves?"

"Precisely," confirmed Kyuudai who then explained, "He originally wanted to entrust Gigantomachia to you but he later changed his mind and decided to leave his finest high-end noumus for you instead."

"High-ends, as in corpse-noumus that are completely loyal while able to think for themselves?" asked Tomura.

"Correct," confirmed Kyuudai who then sighed before he explained, "Gigantomachia was supposed to help All For One fight the pro-heroes but, as you can tell by the report, he had been captured by the pro-heroes and their 'villainous allies' before he could even take part in the fight." He wore a bitter expression as he added, "Given the fact that even other villains want to stop us, never mind the numerous interruptions in research and production, it won't be easy to get to the high-ends even with Kurogiri's help."

"It's still better than sitting around here and do nothing," said Tomura who then glared at the remaining members of the League of Villains and growled, "Let's go. We have a society to burn."

"As you wish, Master," said Kurogiri before he created a portal that would lead the League of Villains to their next destination based on the coordinates given by Hari and Kyuudai.

As the villains entered the portal, Kyuudai smirked and thought, "Once we have the high-ends on our side, I can begin the next phase of reviving All For One!"

Holy cow… writing the fight between All Might and All For One is a bitter-sweet experience for me as it might be one of the most awesome fights I've ever written which also means that I might not be able to write a fight of greater awesomeness for this particular story at the very least. That being said, I have no intention of not doing my best for future fight scenes.

Please note that this fight scene incorporates elements from 'Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann', 'Evangelion' and even 'Star Wars'.

Also, with the reveal of the First Holder's name, Shigaraki Yoichi (Chapter 310 of the canon story), I plan to refer to him as such from this chapter onwards.

I plan to write one to two more chapters to cover the story events that take place after this chapter and then take a short break or write my other BNHA stories.
