Chapter 30: Summer Camp Party(Part 1)
A few days had passed after Toshinori's (a.k.a. All Might) victory over One For All.
In spite of the shocking revelations of Toshinori's injury and loss of power, which ultimately meant that the pro-hero could no longer be the Symbol of Peace, many people did not lose hope. After all, everyone knew that hehad at least one"mysteriousally" who had helped him defeat All For One.
Although the identity of the person who had helped Toshinoriwas kept a secret, mostly because everyone who had bonded with the former pro-hero had refused to reveal any names, it was generally agreed that the person was in Dorm 1A during his fight with All For One. Given the fact that Dorm 1A was practically glowing with a flame that did notburn when the "Light of Hope" first appeared, there was simply no way to deny the logical conclusion.In fact, many people had already assumed that the"mysteriousally" was in fact a student from Class 1A. After all, why else would the staff of U.A. High School work so hard to keep the person's identity a secret?
Needless to say, Izuku was deemed as a "likely suspect".
Nedzu, who was well aware of the fact that Izuku's involvement could not be kept secret for long, simply assured the public that the person who had helped Toshinoriwould reveal himself before long. The public, as well as a significant number of pro-heroes, would have been unwilling to be patient had Nedzu not stated that he was planning to let the students from Classes 1A and 1B take part in the Provisional Hero License Exam later that year.
Besides trying to find out the identity of the person who had helped Toshinori, there were other equally important matters to deal with such as locating the remaining members of the League of Villains and the reveal of theMeta Liberation Army. Although many people, including a notable number of villains, agreed that the League of Villains had to be stopped, people were more divided about the Meta Liberation Army. On one hand, they had played a role in helping to stop the League of Villains and many people felt that harmless and helpful quirk usage should not be deemed as illegal. On the other hand, there was no denying that the Meta Liberation Army wasa group of villainousquirk supremacists,as proven by their involvement in the Aldera Junior High incident, never mind the possible abuse of power by those who wish to use their quirks to harm others if the current rules of quirk usage were completely abolished. To settle the matter with the Meta Liberation Army peacefully, it was agreed by everyone that a civil discussion needed to be held soon. Thankfully, both Nedzu and Rikiya (a.k.a. Re-Destro) were willing to have the discussion.
There was also the matter of Endeavour (a.k.a. Enji) whose misdeeds as an abusive father and husband was known to the people who had bonded with Toshinori. Although no one had decided to take any drastic measures yet, steps were already being taken to prevent Enjifrom being promoted in the next Hero Billboard Chart JP event. The last thing anyone wanted as having people realisethat the new No.1 pro-hero in all of Japan had abused his own family. Not even Hawks (a.k.a. Keigo), who actually had a deep sense of respect and even gratitude towards Enjidue to past circumstances, disagreed with the decision even though he did not like the idea of becoming the next No.1 pro-hero.
Speaking of Enji, Shouto's elder sister had noticed that the man was unusually quiet and withdrawn after Toshinori's fight with All For One. It was likely that the retired pro-hero's true form and "glorious second wind" had deeply shakenthe "literally-fiery and overly-competitive"pro-hero. Since Shouto had learnt about Dabi's (a.k.a. Todoroki Touya) circumstances, he felt obligated to inform the rest of his family about him.However, given the fact that Dabi was still a villain, never mind Enji's current mental state, Shouto knew better than to broach the subject carelessly so he decided to wait for a more appropriate moment to reveal the truth to his family. At the very least, he wanted to inform his two older siblings and mother about Dabi before revealing the truth to his own father. None of Shouto's schoolmates disagreed with his decision and reasoning.
It should be noted that David, Melissa, Constanze, Leeron and Houka decided to stay at Dorm 1A of U.A. High School for a few days after David had met Toshinori. After all, the younger inventors were having their own summer break at the time and David knew that Melissa wanted to spend time with Izuku even more than before after learning the truth of his past status as a quirkless boy. Of course, David made sure to give Toshinoria good punch in the face for making him so worried before hugging the former pro-hero due to being glad that he had survived his fight against All For One.The punch was somehow recorded and became a meme within minutes.
In spite of all the serious and grim matters that needed to be dealt with, Izuku and his friends and loved ones had more "light-hearted concerns" to deal with…
--The planning phase of the summer camp party…--
During the few days after Toshinori's fight with All For One, Mina managed to get everyone from Dorms 1A and 1B to discuss on what they should do to have a good time. It was Minoru who suggested the Unforeseen Simulation Joint (U.S.J.) as the venue for the summer camp party. Given the fact that the U.S.J. was a "sheltered outdoor area", it solved the issue of needing a lot of tents to properly shelter everyone. There was also the fact that it had a lake which everyone could swim and play in. The building even had its own toilets and showersnear the entrance which helped to solve the issue of getting enough hygienein case there were not enough portable toilets and showers.
Admittedly, Minoru hoped that the ladies would decide to wear swimsuits while playing in the lake, a sentiment that he shared with Hanta, Denki and Kousei.
As far as bedding was concerned, it was agreed that picnic mats, pillows and blankets would suffice since the U.S.J. was, as stated before, a sheltered area. As for those who wanted more privacy with proper tents, Minoru and Ningyou offered information of a certain shop that sold camping tools and supplies, Yurucamp. After writing down a list of camping tools and supplies, which was later approved by Nedzu himself, Momo quickly contacted her family and servants who readily agreed to help.
Food and drink was another issue which had to be dealt with when planning for a summer camp party. Luckily, Lunch Rush was more than happy to help supply the ingredients and the students still had the cooking implements that they had used during the party after the sports festival. Some of the students volunteered to help with the cooking and preparation of ingredients.
Since the overall goal of the camp was to not only have fun but also help the pro-heroes relax after working so hard, it was agreed that the activities should be simple but fun. The activities included beach volleyball, karaoke and even an "outdoor movie night". As far as setting up the camp-site and the clean-up were concerned, the students would handle the bulk of the necessary tasks.
After planning and preparing for the summer camp party, which would last for two days and one night, Tenya, Momo, Itsuka and Nirengeki proceeded to invite many people to the event. Not surprisingly, the pro-heroes who had bonded with All Might were invited to take part in the event. Ochako, Tsuyu, Kyouka, Katsuki and Momo's families were invited as well.
Two days after the invitations had been sent out, the summer camp party began…
--The first day of the camp…--
It was early in the morning but Izuku, along with fellow residents from Dorms 1A and 1B, Mei, David, Melissa, Constanze, Leeron, Houka, Sebas, Tuareninya, Ninya, Shouta (a.k.a. Eraser Head), Sekijirou (a.k.a. Vlad King) and Thirteen had gathered just outside the U.S.J. building. Mina grinned broadly as she yelled, "Okay everyone, let's get this camp party set up for everyone!"
Nearly everyone who was not an adult cheered while Shouta and Shinsou sighed in resigned exasperationand Katsuki clicked his tongue in annoyance. The rest of the adults smiled as they were happy to help out in making the event a success.
Before long, Izuku, Mezou, Eijirou, Tetsutetsu, Juurouta, Wankuro, Nyujou, Rika, Tora and Midori started helping with the heavy lifting of camping supplies into the U.S.J. building. Tenya, Momo, Itsuka and Nirengeki helped to direct the students and monitor the set up of the venue while Rikidou started preparing the ingredients with Inko, Kayako, Kinoko, Ibara, Ochako and Tsuyu. Even Katsuki volunteered to help with the food preparations even though he begrudgingly understood that he would not be in charge.
There was no denying that Katsuki was pretty much the "black sheep" among Izuku's fellow schoolmates even before the bondingwith Toshinoriwhich revealed his past misdeeds and selfish way of thinking to everyone. That being said, there was also no denying that it would be hypocritical of them to reject Katsuki's attempts to change for the better when they were already willing to give actual villains a chance. The fact that Katsuki had recently come to fully realise that there was more to heroics than simply defeating enemies made it easier for them to accept his attempts to better himself. As such, Rikidou did not reject Katsuki's offer to volunteer help.
Although Katsuki was not allowed to make spicy dishes, mostly out of fear that he would make dishes that would be far too spicy to be eaten, he was allowed to make his own spicy sauce that could be eaten with most of the dishes. Many people made a mental note to exercise caution when trying the sauce that Katsuki was planning to make after seeing his feral grinand hearing his stated vow to, "murder everyone with his spicy sauce".
Kyouka helped to set up the karaoke system with Denki, Fumikage, Constanze and Shihai while Sen set up the "outdoor cinema" system with Kousei, Pony, Minoru, Yuuga, Mei, Leeron and Melissa. Some might consider it ironic that Minoru, who was still a pervert in spite of his significant improvement in character, was not the biggest troublemaker in the "cinema set up" group as everyone had to keep an eye on Mei instead so that she would not attempt to "upgrade" the projector and even the karaoke sound system. No one wanted her to create a "mechanical monstrosity" which was somehow capable of shooting actual laser beams, create shock-waves of sounds or spontaneously explode.
The younger children, namely, Eri, Kouta, Emiko, Aoi, Kumoko, Ouka, and Sakino helped to lay out the picnic mats together with Ningyou, Hikari, Kouji, Yui, Reiko and Kojirou. Since the summer camp party was going to be an overnight stay, the picnic mats had to be placed over insulating mats so that the "campers" would not catch a cold while sleeping at night. Although Momo wanted to get better quality insulating mats, her friends persuaded her to purchase cheaper foam mats instead since the camp-party was only for one night and there was no guarantee that camping outdoors would be a regular activity for them. Even so, Momo made sure to get the best quality foam mats that she could purchase from the shop.
Understandably, the people who ran Yurucamp were very happy with the profit that they had made even after giving a generous discount for the "heroes who had helped All Might".
Emiko and Reiko used their respective quirks to collect and distribute the rolled-up mats while Kumoko, Hikari and Ningyou helped to untie the knots so that the mats could be unrolledout. Eri, Kouta and Sakino then helped to unroll the mats. Sakino, who was still a small purple blob of flesh, grew small pseudopod-like protrusions so that she could unroll the mats by pushing them. Once the picnic mats, which had been placed over unrolled insulating mats, were unrolled, Kouji, Kojirou, Aoi and Ouka proceeded to place cushions and folded blankets onto the corners of the mats with the help of Yui's ability to shrink non-living items for easier transportation. Not surprisingly, many people found the younger children adorable and Houka, the unofficial cameraman of the group, made sure to take some video footages of them.
Besides the mats, tents were also set up so that anyone who wanted privacy would be able to use them. The adults, who did not want to be idle, decided to help out with setting up the tents. A few of the students and children laughed when they realised that David, who was supposed to be a brilliant inventor, somehow managed to set up a tent in such a way that it was inside-out.
Before long, the summer camp party was set up and the people already inside the U.S.J. were ready for the othersto arrive…
--Later that day…--
It was lunchtime and some "guestsof honour" had already entered theU.S.J. Among them were Nemuri (a.k.a. Midnight), Lunch Rush, Ochako's parents, Tsuyu's parents and siblings, Katsuki's parents, Kyouka's parents, Momo's parents and servants, Rumi (a.k.a. Miruko), the Wild Wild Pussycats, Toshinori, Sorahiko (a.k.a. Gran Torino), Tensei (a.k.a. Ingenium) and Jin (a.k.a. Twice).
A few other pro-heroes and the remaining "villains on parole" would arrive later that day. In fact, part of the reason why Nedzu was not attending the camp during lunchtime was because he wanted to help speed up the process of getting Manami (a.k.a. La Brava), Danjuurou (a.k.a. Gentle Criminal) and Fuun (a.k.a. Jinx) accepted as new members of the school.Of course, the three former villains would be "villains on parole" but no one who wanted to attend the summer camp party disagreed with Nedzu's decision.
It should be noted that Nedzu, along with a few members of the police force and the Hero Public Safety Commission, had already talked to Rikiya and the other leaders of the Meta Liberation Army. Although further discussions would be needed in the near future, it was generally agreed that, with the exception of members who have committed heinous crimes such as murder, abuse and worse, the Meta Liberation Army would not be arrested as long as they cooperated in stopping the League of Villains and ceased villainous activities such as illegal trade and instigating quirk-related discrimination. Not surprisingly, both pro-heroes and members of the police force would have to keep an eye on the Meta Liberation Army to keep them in check. Detective Hajime Kendaichi and Hawks were among those chosen for the task. A number of members from the Meta Liberation Army were unhappy with the results but, surprisingly enough,Rikiya was not one of them.
Part of the reason why Rikiya did not oppose the decisions was because he had come to reconsider what it really meant to be free. After all, times had clearly changed compared to the days of his late father's generation and, like it or not, All For One was a clear example of what could happen if quirk usage was completely unregulated. In the end, the leader of the Meta Liberation Army decided that it would be best to wait and see what would happen next. At the very least, he wanted to know the identity of the person who had helped Toshinoridefeat his nemesis and possibly even have a word with him before making his next move.
The irony of Rikiya wanting to have a word with Izuku, who was formerly quirkless before receiving One For All from Toshinorihimself, did not go unnoticed by many of the adults who had already known about the boy's relationship with the former pro-hero.
Happy to see the new arrivals, who had to take a bus or use their quirks to reach the U.S.J. after entering the school grounds, Izuku greeted them, "Hello, everyone! I'm glad that you can make it!"
Rumi grinned as she suddenly appeared beside Izuku with a single leap before wrapping her arm around his neck and saying, "After all the crap we've been through over the past few days, I wouldn't miss this chance to relax!" Izuku blushed as his face was pressed against her chest.
Toshinori chuckled at Izuku's embarrassment said, "Well, it's certainly one way to enjoy our break after working almost non-stop for so many days."
Sorahiko, who still had to work hard in spite of his age, grumbled, "You may have that injuryand loss of power, Toshinori, but I'm not exactly a spring chicken myself."
Inko smiled at Toshinori and said, "Welcome back, Toshinori-kun."
The former pro-hero blushed as he grinned at Inko and replied, "It's good to be back, Inko-chan."
Mitsuki smirked at Inko and said, "You know, when I suggested you getting a new boyfriend after that divorce all those years ago, I never expected you getting All Might of all people."
Inko smiled while blushing like a maiden and said, "To be fair, I was already attracted to Toshinori-kun even before I started to suspectthat he wasactuallyAll Might."
Well aware of Inko's true feelings towards Toshinori, Mitsuki smiled at Inko fondly and replied, "I know, Inko-chan. I'm really glad that you've managed to find love again." She then turned her attention towards Katsuki, who was preparing some spicy sauce, and said, "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to have a word with that brat of mine."
In spite of Mitsuki's abrasive nature, Inko knew that she truly loved her son and wanted him to live a happy life. That being said, she also knew that, just like Mitsuki, Katsuki was stubborn and aggressively prideful. The fact that Katsuki had an inflated sense of self-worth due to his powerful quirk only worsened the negativeaspects of his personality. Thankfully, it was clear that Katsuki was finally taking his first steps to becoming better and Inko hoped that he would continue down that road.
Although Inko did not approve of Katsuki's attitude, especially towards Izuku, there was no denying that Katsuki was Mitsuki's son. As such, she was willing to give the blond boy a chance to ultimately redeem himself as long as he did not backslide back into his old ways. Besides, she did not have to worry about Izuku being stuck in a toxic relationship with Katsuki as he had many close friends and even girlfriends.
While Mistuki and Masaru were interacting with Katsuki, who was still somewhat subdued due to past events, David approached Toshinori and asked, "So, how's everything so far, Toshi?"
"Things are still hectic due to recent events but the situation is thankfully under control so far," said Toshinori. Even though the Meta Liberation Army had more or less agreed to not take action against the current government, at the moment at least, the League of Villains was still at large and there were numerous independent villains who wanted to take advantage of the fact that the Symbol of Peace had finally retired. However, due to the heightened vigilance of the pro-heroes who had not beendemoralised by Toshinori's retirement, various independent villains were forced to remain cautious.In fact, a significant number of pro-heroes and even a number of civilians were actually inspired by Toshinori's latest act of heroism.
"However, we'll still have to remain vigilant and act quickly and decisively to ensure that the villains do not get a chance to rise up and tear down society," said Tensei.
"Which, unfortunately, translates to having the students from both 1A and 1B participate in the upcoming Provisional Hero License Exam," said Sekijirou.
"Never mind the fact that the people already suspect Midoriya-kun's part in helping All Might," said Yaoyorozu Satoru.
"Once he takes part in the exam and starts using his quirks, there'll be no way for him to remain anonymous," said Shouta who honesty hated dealing with the press.
"Not that keeping the truth of his involvement a secret will do much good," said Yawara (a.k.a. Tiger)who then grimly added, "The best we can hope for is making sure that he'll be ready to face the responsibility that he will inevitably bear."
"While that may be true, I can safely say that none of us have any intention of letting him bear that burden alone," said Shino (a.k.a. Mandalay).
Tomoko (a.k.a. Ragdoll) grinned and said, "It's the least we can do after everything he has been through and done for so many people."
"Damn straight!" said Pixie-Bob (a.k.a. Tsuchikawa Ryuuko).
"Well, we still have time to worry about it later," said Nemuri who then grinned and added, "For now though, let's relax and enjoy ourselves for a bit before everyone goes back to work."
Yaoyorozu Coconodded and said, "Indeed, the children have done much to set up everything for both themselves and us." She then smiled and said, "Personally, I'm not against spending a bit more for the camp party but no amount of money spent will truly replace good company."
"That's something we can all agree on," said Mr. Uraraka while his wife smiled in agreement.
"This will be fun," said Jin who then contradicted himself, "This is going to suck!"
Before long, the camp party officially started. As it was lunchtime, everyone decided to enjoy the food first. Momo's maids helped to serve the food while Rikidou,Inko, Kayako, Kinoko, Ibara, Ochako,Tsuyuand Katsuki took a break from preparing food for everyone. Lunch Rush, who wanted to help out, volunteered to cook some more food for everyone and did not mind receiving help from the maids. After all, someone had to prepare dinner for that day and then prepare breakfast and lunch for the following day.
Speaking of lunch, it was a hearty meal with fried noodles, fried rice, barbecued pieces of chicken and salads. A few brave souls, namely Denki and Kirishima, tried the spicy sauce made by Katsuki and realised that it tasted good in spite of being very spicy. It did not take long for the others to try the sauce and realise that it tasted good. Katsuki smirked in satisfaction as he was able to prove to everyone that he knew how to cook well.
Izuku smiled as he, Ochako, Tsuyu, Wankuro, Himiko, Melissa and Rumi ate together with the young children, Inko, Toshinori, Shino, Emiko's parents, Ochako's parents and Tsuyu's parents. The adults and hero-students smiled as they watched over the children enjoying their food while interacting with one another. Tsuyu's younger sister, Satsuki, was understandably curious about the young noumu-girls and asked them many questions while Eri and Izuku helped to answer on their behalf. As for Tsuyu's younger brother, Samidare, he talked to Kouta who felt awkward while trying to have a conversation with the older boy. Shino was glad to know that Kouta was finally willing to interact with other people and was content to let him do so at his own pace.
Momo and Shouto were having lunch together with Satoru and Coco. Both parents already knew that Shouto and Momo had feelings for one another even before they saw the young couple's memories during All Might's fight with All For One. However, like any concerned parents, they made it clear that they did not want Momo to suffer an unhappy future. Shouto, who understood their concerns since he had been abused by his own father, Enji, assured them that he had no intention of ever becoming an abusive husband and father.
While Shouto and Momo were having lunch with Momo's parents, Denki and Kyouka were having lunch with Kyouka's parents for similar reasons. Kyouka's father, Kyoutoku, tried to act like a stern father towards Denki but quickly dropped the act after Mika and Kyouka told him to stop in an exasperated manner. In spite of being aware of Kyoutoku's actual personality through Kyouka's memories of him, Denki was still comically intimidated until the man dropped the act. To be fair though, even easygoing people were not above becoming intense when needed especially when it came to protecting their loved ones.
Hikari, Rika, Tora and Midori, who were still getting used to living as high school students, were content to hang around with the other students as they ate and talked. Not surprisingly, Tenya made it a point to remind everyone that they should avoid doing strenuous physical activities, including swimming, for at least one hour after a meal. Tensei smiled good-naturedly as he knew that his brother ultimately meant well in spite of his overly-serious attitude.
After having their lunch, everyone decided to watch a movie together after a bit of cleaning up. Jin, who wanted to be helpful, did not mind helping the students with the clean up.
Thanks to Melissa's help, the students were able to set up a holographic projector which was able to make a projection of a movie large enough to be easily seen by everyone. The movie that everyone decided to watch together was a pre-quirk movie titled, "Zootopia".
Not surprisingly, the young children enjoyed the movie. Equally unsurprisingly, Rumi's favourite character was Judy Hopps.
--Some time later…--
Since the movie was well over an hour long, Tenya had no problem with everyone deciding to do some physical activities after it was over. To the delight of some boys, the ladies decided to put on their swimsuits. The swimsuits ranged from adorably cute, such as Eri who was dressed in a frilly light-blue swimsuit, to dangerously sexy, such as Nemuri who was dressed in a black bikini with string straps. As for the boys and men, many of them opted to wear swimming trunks with beach shirts.
Since very few people had seen what Thirteen looked like without her spacesuit-themed costume, it was no surprise that many were surprised by her actual appearance. As it turned out, Thirteen wasa slender young woman with jet-black skin, purple eyes, dark grey hair and eyebrows and a magenta purple stripe that ran across her nose. She was also dressed in a yellow bikini with a translucent light-blue waist-scarf. Her dark skin colour reminded the students of Shihai even though the two were not actually related by blood.
Naturally, Tsuyu, Samidare and Satsuki opted to swim in the artificial lake. Both Satsuki and Samidare were happy to swim freely in such a large lake together with their elder sister whom they had wanted to spend time with. A few others decided to swim as well including Ningyou, Emiko, Midori and Reiko.
As for Wankuro and Rumi, they decided to compete in a beach volleyball match at a more isolated part of the beach. Since Izuku, Ochako and Melissa wanted to play a gentler game of beach ball-passing with the remaining younger children before going into the lake for a swim, Wankuro and Rumi decided to drag Himiko, Hikari, Rika and Tora to play with them. Wankuro, Himiko and Rika formed one team while Rumi, Hikari and Tora formed the other team. Less than three minutes later, everyone in the U.S.J. could hear distant explosions and see sand being scattered everywhere. Kyouka could have sworn that she sensed seismic vibrations in the ground.
Under normal circumstances, a beach volleyball would burst after getting hit by someone with superhuman strength. Luckily for the six ladies who were playing beach volleyball, the ball, which was one of the various sports equipments in U.A. High School, was especially made to withstand superhuman feats of strength without bursting. The same could not be said about sandy ground though, or the net and the poles for that matter. Few, including even Minoru, dared to even think about getting closer to what was basically a battlefield fought by six beautiful yet very powerful young ladies. Among those few who considered taking part in the game were Katsuki, Eijirou, Tetsutetsu and Togaru.
Thirteen could not help but sigh as she realised that a significant part of the beach was going to need repairs before long. Shouta, Sekijirou, Nemuri, Toshinori and Sorahiko wore sympathetic expressions towards their colleague. Thankfully, the damages would be paid for by the school.
Minoru, Hanta, Denki and Kousei grinned as they armed themselves with water-guns. They, along with their peers and even some of the pro-heroes and maids, were going to play a water-gun war. The other players included Nemuri, Pixie-Bob, Tomoko, Garnet, Tuareninya, Constanze, Mei, Tetsutetsu, Itsuka, Eijirou, Mina, Nyujou, Kyouka, Mashirao, Tooru, Momo, Shouto and Jin. Not surprisingly the ladies got wet which was all according to the four boys' plan. That being said, both Garnet and Tuareninya had been instructed by Satoru to make sure that the four boys did not have the opportunity to stare at the "wet ladies" for too long, especially Momo, with a good splash of water on the face. Still, there was no denying that they all had fun to the point that the four boys were not overly concerned about getting their "eye-candy".
Of course, there were those who were content to simply relax and take it easy. Shouta decided to sleep in his sleeping bag inside a one-person tent while Mandalay watched over Izuku, Ochako and Melissa playing with some of the younger children, Kouta included. As for the majority of the adults, they opted to relax on the mats while talking to one another.
The peaceful atmosphere of the camp was suddenly interrupted by Midori who, in a moment of playful mischief while swimming Tsuyu, her younger siblings and Emiko, decided to grow into her giant form. As she was inside the lake at the time, the sudden expansion in volume and mass caused a massive tidal wave. Even the pro-heroes were comically shocked by the resulting tidal wave which threatened to sweep everyone and everything nearby away. Luckily, Emiko was able to use her powerful quirk, which she had been using to accelerate her swimming speed, to block and redirect the flow of water to a more isolated part of the U.S.J., thus preventing a potential disaster form befalling upon the camp site. Understandably, everyone in the U.S.J. was glad that Emiko was on heroes' side.
Realising the panic that she had caused, Midori bowed her head apologetically in a manner not unlike a guilty overgrown puppy. Even Shouta, who was tempted to scold her for the careless misuse of her power, did not have the heart to reprimand her harshly.
Since Midori's swimsuit was ruined by her sudden growth in size, Momo created some cloth to cover her exposed breasts and crotch with the help of some silk from Kumoko. It did not take long for the young children to ask if they could get onto Midori's shoulders, hands and/or head. Midori was happy to oblige as she struck poses with the children, some of the students and even a few adults riding on her shoulders, hands and head. She even helped transport the students and children to the other end of the lake which had slides that they could use to play.
--Later that evening…--
"We have arrived!" said Danjuurou while doing a dramatic pose with Manami. The two former villains had just arrived at the U.S.J. together with Fuun, Kendou, Nedzu, Ryuukuu (a.k.a. Tatsuma Ryuuko), Nejire, Mirai (a.k.a. Sir Nighteye), Centipeder, Kaoruko (a.k.a. Bubble Girl), Mirio, Taishirou (a.k.a. Fatgum), Tamaki and Naomasa.
Although Izuku wished that the rest of pro-heroes who knew about One For All, as well as Kendaichi, could come to relax as well, he knew that not all of them could make it. After all, some of them were involved in important assignments, as in the case of Hawks and Kendaichi, while others had to continue working for the sake of maintaining societal order in the wake of Toshinori's retirement. In fact, most of the yakuza members who were under Nedzu's employ had been sent out to help the pro-heroes and the police force maintain the peace. Nemoto Shin was currently working together with the police force, Hound Dog and Best Jeanist to find the League of Villains while Houjou Yuu, Tabe SoramitsuandSetsuno Touyawere working together with Ectoplasm and the Lurkers in maintaining the peace.
Some might question Nedzu's decision to allow former yakuza members to work alongside with pro-heroes and the police force but, between their good behaviour and the very real need for additional help, few were willing to actually oppose the decision as long as steps were taken to ensure that they would not act out of line. As for the said yakuza members, they were willing to take their chance to work outside of the school grounds. Make not mistake, they appreciated the fact that they were not in prison but being restricted to the school grounds for months would make anyone eager for a chance to leave for a while.
Izuku smiled as he welcomed the new arrivals, "Welcome, everyone! Please, come in and make yourselves comfortable. Dinner will be ready shortly."
Danjuurou smiled as he asked, "Is there any excellent tea for this occasion?" He believed that good tea should be taken as a celebration for good occasions and being given a chance to achieve his original dream of becoming a pro-hero certainly counted.
"As a matter of fact, there is," said Tenya who then added, "We're planning to have it together with the rest of the meal."
Lunch Rush was currently making dinner with the help of the maids, Inko, Mistuki and Beru. As for Mika and Coco, they volunteered to play some music to provide a pleasant background ambience. Left unsaid was that no one wanted Coco to cook anything due to the justified fear of her creating nigh-inedible "dishes" that even Sakino would be reluctant to consume.
"Most excellent news indeed!" said Danjuurou who then volunteered in helping to prepare and serve tea.
Ryuukuu noticed Aoi and immediately walked towards the young noumu-girl. Aware of the revelation of that Ryuukuu's quirk had been copied to turn Aoi into a noumu, no one said anything as the pro-heroine asked to the young girl, "Would you… like to fly with me?"
Aoi, who already knew the truth about Ryuukuu's copied quirk, nodded with a smile before she transformed into a small blue-scaled dragon. Glad to know that Aoi truly did not resent her, Ryuukuu smiled in return before she transformed into her dragon form. Both "dragons" then took into the air to fly around within the U.S.J. and Aoi flew around Ryuukuu in a manner not unlike a baby dragon flying around its parent. Excited by the aerial display, Nejire, Emiko, Himiko and Tora immediately took to the air to fly together with them.
"You know, this will make a pretty good display of aerial superiority," said Sorahiko while observing the pro-heroine, her intern and the noumu-girls flying around in the air. As a pro-hero who was experienced in aerial combat, he could not help but appraise the skill of the flyers who were currently flying in the air.
"It certainly would, but let's leave that idea for another day," said Nedzu who knew that such a display would help to lift the spirits to the people as well deter villains from doing anything within their "flight range".
Manami turned her attention towards Houka and asked, "You're recording it, right?"
Houka smirked as he adjusted his spectacles and said, "Along with lots of other footage."
"Then let me have a look at them. I should be able to make good use of them," replied Manami.
"I look forward to it," said Houka who was aware of Manami's ability to make good videos.
Kendou grinned at Izuku and said, "Yo, Midoriya! Don't forget that promise to ask for permission to have a duel with me later!"
Izuku laughed sheepishly as he could tell that Shouta was glaring at him in annoyance. Although Shouta knew that Izuku had made that promise due to the situation at the time, and that it was by no means a guaranteed promise for a fight, he was still annoyed by Izuku's tendency to somehow get involved with villains. That being said, Shouta knew that Kendou was a strong fighter with a warrior's sense of morals so he said, "As long as neither of you end up crippling or killing one another, I can approve of a sparring match at the very least." Shouta then activated his quirk as he growled, "However, that will be AFTER the new school term starts, as part of hero training while under the supervision to qualified teachers and staff, and not a second sooner!"
"Ah, I can wait," replied Kendou who then smirked and added, "Besides, the kid's not the only one I'm interested to have a match with." Eijirou, Tetsutetsu, Ningyou, Wankuro, Itsuka and Katsuki were some of the other students whom he wanted to fight.
Shouta sighed in resignation while Toshinori asked Nedzu, Mirai and Naomasa, "Any news about 'them'?"
Well-aware that Toshinori was referring to the remaining members of the League of Villains who were still at large, Nedzu shook his head and said, "Unfortunately, no. Between the resources that All For One had and the fact that they still have Kurogiri with them, there's a chance that they may not even be in Japan at this point."
Mirai adjusted his spectacles and said, "Given the fact that even other villains, including the Meta Liberation Army, are against them, such a scenario is certainly possible. After all, you yourself lived in America for a few years to avoid All For One before returning to Japan, All Might."
"Of course, we have contacted leaders and heroes in other countries to keep a lookout for them but there's simply no way for any of us to expand our investigation beyond our borders without approval," said Naomasa who then added, "As of right now, all we can do is look under every nook and cranny in Japan to find them."
Toshinori sighed and said bitterly, "Hopefully, we'll be able to capture them soon and put a permanent end to this." Mentally, he thought, "I also want to tell Shigaraki about Nana. He deserved to know at the very least."
"While I share the sentiment, I doubt they will be so easily captured, unfortunately," said Nedzu who then smiled and asked, "Regardless, let's not worry too much about it for today. After all, the students have prepared this camp party so that we can unwind and have a good time before we all return to our respective duties and obligations."
"I for one can agree to that!" said Taishirou who grinned as he dragged Tamaki straight towards the "cooking station" of the camp site. Unlike lunch, dinner was going to be a hotpot with rice and noodles as side-dishes.
Yes, Momo and her family made sure to get plenty of portable stoves and pots to make enough hotpot for everyone.
"Well, I'm not against spending my first day on parole relaxing at an indoor beach with friendly 'strangers'," said Fuun as she made her way to the other young ladies to ask if there were any swimsuits for her. Understandably, there were no swimsuits for Fuun or Manami as there was no guarantee that they could be released on parole that day but the issue was easily resolved by Momo who could make them with ease. Kaoruko soon joined in as well.
Overhearing Fuun's statement about parole, Toshinori curiously asked, "Speaking of villains, what of that captured villain?"
"Ah, you mean Tengai Hekiji," said Naomasa who then explained, "He's currently locked in Hades Prison and is willing to cooperate in exchange for a lighter sentence. Although he has no idea where the rest of the League of Villains may be, he has confirmed that Chronostasis and a man who identifies himself as Ujiko Daruma are the ones responsible for the research and production of the noumus."
"In other words, capturing those two and Kurogiri will allow us to cripple their effectiveness as a villainous organisation," said Sorahiko who could not help but get involved in the discussion.
"That is a likely scenario, assuming that they have no one else to trust for similar roles," said Mirai.
"Given the betrayals that they suffered during summer camp, I doubt they will accept new members any time soon unless it is out of necessity," said Shield who, like Sorahiko, could not help but get involved in the discussion. As a victim of a betrayal himself, by someone whom he had deemed as a trustworthy research assistant no less, he understood the reluctance of trusting someone new.
"That may be true, but it will be unwise to dismiss the possibility," said Nedzu.
Suddenly, a yell could be heard, "T-Tougata-senpai! Please put on some pants!"
Realising that Mirio had used his quirk to basically disappear into the ground before reappearing before Izuku and the children with only his upper body exposed, Mirai sighed and said, "Let's continue this discussion latter. I get the feeling that my intern is doing this so that we don't forget why we're here in the first place."
Toshinori chuckled as he observed Mirio, who had the foresight to wear specially-made swimming trunks that were similar to his hero-costume, talking to Izuku and Eri. He then said, "Well, we were close to getting back into discussing about the League of Villains again so I think Tougata-shounen's decision is the right one."
"Then let's enjoy dinner with everyone before the food disappears," said Centipeder. Well aware of the appetites of some of the people in the U.S.J., namely Taishirou, Tamaki, Momo and most of the noumu-girls, no one disagreed with Centipeder's suggestion.
It did not take long for dinner to be ready and, as suspected, the food quickly disappeared into seemingly bottomless bellies.
--Meanwhile, on a random street…--
Soramitsu Tabe, who had recently accepted the codename, Appetite, sighed regretfully before he looked forlornly in the direction of U.A. High School. Like his fellow former yakuza members who were currently under Nedzu's employ, he was aware of the students' plan for a summer camp party which included lots of delicious food. However, he was currently working with the Lurkers to help maintain the peace. In spite of his desire to work outside the school grounds, he still felt regret over the fact that he could not enjoy the food that would be served at the U.S.J.
Well aware of Tabe's desire for tasty food, Houjou Yuu, who had recently taken the codename, Diamondback, said, "We can ask the kids or Lunch Rush to make a meal for us when we get back. For now, let's focus on getting the job done."
Setsuno Touya, who had recently taken the codename, Larceny, said, "Besides, we'll be having of our own dinner soon."
"Barbecue and hotpot…" groused Tabe.
Mount Lady (a.k.a. Takeyama Yuu) sighed and said, "You're not the only one who wants to join the camp, Appetite." She wanted to relax at an indoor beach but both Shinji (a.k.a. Kamui Woods) and Shinya (a.k.a. Edgeshot) politely declined the offer due to their duties.
"If it makes you feel any better, the restaurant that we'll be visiting later sells delicious meals at a reasonable budget," said Shinji.
Shinya nodded and said, "Ramen Ichiraku is the best place to get a good bowl of ramen. It's also a place where I meet some of my former classmates, seniors and juniors."
"So who do you think we will meet?" asked Ectoplasm.
"Hard to say, but there's a high chance we'll meet Yamanaka Inoichi, Nara Shikaku and Akimichi Chouza," said Shinya who knew that one of the three ninja-themed pro-heroes, ninja-heroes for short, had a huge appetite.
Not unlike the ninjas of old, ninja-heroes who graduated from Konoha Academy High School had a tendency to serve as underground pro-heroes and even agents of the H.S.P.C. Those who acted as agents of the H.S.P.C. helped to gather information and, if necessary, assassinate dangerous targets.
In the past, the leadership of the H.S.C.P. was heavily corrupt as the organisation forced its specially-trained agents to assassinate anyone who was a threat to it and the peace that it enforced no matter how minor the threat was. However, thanks to the efforts of notable ninja-heroes whose names were kept a secret, the corrupt leaders were arrested with enough evidence to ensure that they would never be free. Thankfully, there were good people among the H.S.P.C. and they formed a secret alliance with the ninja-heroes who understood the necessity of having secret agents for the sake of protecting the peace of the nation. In return for the cooperation and willing silence of the ninja-heroes, the H.S.P.C. agreed to only order assassination missions for truly heinous villains and undeniably treacherous pro-heroes.
Keigo, who was actually an agent of the H.S.P.C. knew that he was obligated to reveal the truth of One For All and Izuku's relationship with Toshinori to them. Luckily, with Nedzu's support, Keigo was able to avoid revealing the truth by convincing them to put their trust in the retired pro-hero and the people who had bonded with him during his fight with All For One. The current head of the ninja-heroes and principal of Konoha Academy High, an elderly man with a gaunt face, grey hair, liver spots and a goatee named Sarutobi Hiruzen, was present during the meeting due to Shinya's involvement in the fight and he too gave his support to Keigo's request. Although unwilling to remain uninformed, the current leaders of the H.S.P.C. were willing to wait for the identity of "All Might's ally and successor" to be revealed in due time.
Well aware of Shinya's associates, and the complicated history between the H.S.P.C. and the ninja-heroes, Diamondback had to ask, "So, do you think they'll know anything about the League of Villains?"
"It's hard to say. Japan is by no means a large country but they have Kurogiri with them which makes tracking them down complicated at best," answered Shinya who then added. "That's not even counting the fact that approaching them with caution is a must since they are still dangerous even without the backing of their late-leader."
"Let's just hope that we can find them before they do something like unleash a new army of corpse-noumus of something," said Shinji.
Everyone in the group nodded in agreement with Shinji before they made their way to Ichiraku Ramen…
--Back at the U.S.J.…--
As the evening turned into night, fire-pits were prepared so that the people inside could sit around them while roasting marshmallows and trading stories. Samu was able to put his story-telling skills to good use as he managed to tell a story which was somehow entertaining and spooky without being too frightening for the small children, except for Emiko who actually loved scary horror stories, to hear. Amusingly enough, Nyujou was tearfully terrified by the story and hugged onto Eijirou and Mina for comfort.
After listening to Samu's story, which had a happy ending of course, the young children soon felt tired. Understandably, they were put to bed and both Samu and Kayako volunteered to keep an eye on them while they slept.
Izuku, along with his schoolmates, Melissa and her friends, the pro-heroes and other adults decided to stay up for a little longer before they too went to bed. After all, someone had to get the place cleaned up so that the place would not be so messy on the following day.
To Izuku's embarrassment, he was given a tent large enough to fit seven people to sleep with his "cuddle harem" which presently included Melissa as well. Inko could not help but smile impishly as she had requested Momo to buy the tent for Izuku and the girls who loved him. As for Eijirou, he was given a three-person camp to sleep with Nyujou and Mina.
However, not everyone planned to sleep early that night…
--Later that night…--
Izuku was blushing as he followed Rumi, Ochako, Tsuyu, Wankuro, Himiko and Melissa to the mountain zone of the U.S.J. Thanks to their enhanced speed and strength, Izuku, Rumi, Tsuyu, Himiko and Wankuro easily reached the mountain zone in a short period of time. As for Ochako and Melissa, Ochako rode on Wankuro while she was in her wolf form while Melissa was given the special treat of being carried in Izuku's arms. Since Melissa did not have many chances to be intimate with Izuku, the rest of the harem felt that she deserved to be carried by him at the very least. They even brought their already-set tent and its contents with them with the help of Ochako's quirk and Himiko's ability to fly.
Once they reached the mountain zone, Himiko set down the tent and everyone worked together to tidy up the inside of the tent before they all went inside. Izuku's blush deepened as he knew that he and his harem were about to have a night to remember…

Due to the lack of canon illustrations of Thirteen without the suit, I have decided to make an educated guess and depict her as a more slender version of Martian Queen Tyr'ahnee from the Duck Dodgers cartoon series with shorter darker hair.(Much like her depiction in one of my other works of BNHA fanfiction.)
Also if anyone wants to know what the "volleyball match" was like, check out episode seven of 'Emiya-san Chi no Kyou no Gohan' as a reference. Yes, I intend to leave it as an "Off-Screen Moment of Awesome".
Of course, since there are actual pro-heroes based on ninjas even in canon, it's only right that at least some of them act as underground pro-heroes. That being said, I honestly have no idea how I ended up writing a background story of ninja-heroes putting an end to the corruption of the H.S.P.C. thus leading to a less corrupt version of the H.S.P.C. in this story. With such an altered background, a certain Lady Nagant's story would end up being quite different from canon.
Given the fact that I've posted so many chapters for this story already, never mind the delays due to recently buying a gaming laptop and playing some games on it to the point of getting distracted, I have decided to put this story on hold so that I can update 'Izuku's Harem Academia' and 'Izuku's Noumu Life'. After I update the other two stories (at least a chapter each), I will update this one with at least one smut chapter and a few chapters to cover the story before Izuku and his schoolmates take the Provisional Hero License Exam. I plan to focus more on the young children instead of the super moves training.
