Boku no Hero Academia: Izuku's Pet Noumu
Disclaimer: This is a mature-rated fanfiction story of Boku no Hero Academia that I am writing for both fluffy and erotic fun. Needless to say, this story is AU, the characters may seem OOC to some and there will be smutty lemons. Also, I own nothing of the series other than the fanfiction stories that I make.
Chapter 34: Provisional Pro-hero Licence Exam (Part 1)
It was finally time for the students of both Class 1A and Class 1B from U.A. High School to take part in the provisional pro-hero licence exam. The two classes were sent to separate locations so Izuku made sure to wish his friends from Class 1B the best of luck before they set off to take part in their exam. Wankuro, Himiko, Ningyou and Nyujou, who were students of Class 1A, were taking part in the exam as well and would be going to the same location as the rest of their class. As for the rest of the noumu-girls who would not be taking part in the current exam, they stayed at the dorms of U.A. High school where they would be safe to continue with their lessons and training.
Before long, Izuku and his classmates reached the venue of their exam, Dagobah National Stadium. Under different circumstances, the students of Class 1A would have felt nervous about their chances of passing the exam. However, given everything that they currently knew and had experienced, many of them felt determination instead of fear.
Well aware of their determination, Shouta (a.k.a. Eraser Head) smiled ever so slightly and said, "Once you obtain your provisional pro-hero licenses, you will no longer be mere eggs. You will be hatchlings with the potential to become pro-heroes. So go in there and do your best to get them."
Izuku and most of his classmates nodded at their teacher and were about motivate themselves by huddling together and yelling "Plus Ultra!" when someone suddenly yelled, "PLUS ULTRA!"
Surprised, everyone turned their attention towards a tall and well-built boy with buzzed dark-brown hair and black eyes named Yoarashi Inasa. While Izuku and his classmates were confused by Inasa's unexpected appearance and action, another boy with an average build, slanted eyes and purple hair named Shishikura Seiji scolded him, "It's not good to randomly insert yourself into other people's huddles, Inasa."
Standing beside Seijii was a girl with straight, fawn-coloured hair, large dark-brown eyes, noticeably full and glossy lips and a curvaceous figure named Utsushimi Camie. She stared at the infamous first-year students of U.A. High School and thought, "I wonder if the 'Saviour of Peace' will finally reveal himself today." Like many other people, Camie suspected that the student responsible for helping All Might (a.k.a. Toshinori) defeat All For One was a member of Class 1A and that Izuku was the most likely suspect.
Realising his mistake, Inasa bowed to the point that his head slammed onto the floor while yelling, "My mistake, please accept my humblest apologies!"
"Who's this ridiculously pumped-up dude?" asked Denki.
"It's like someone combined Iida and Kirishima together and squared the result!" said Hanta.
Himiko frowned and grumbled, "He's noisy."
"He looks familiar for some reason," thought Izuku. Given the sharing of memories during Toshinori's fight with All For One, Izuku quickly realised that one of his schoolmates must have met Inasa prior to entering U.A. High School.
Katsuki narrowed his eyes as he recognised the two boys' uniforms and said, "They're from Shiketsu High School, an elite school that's on par with U.A. High School."
Inasa, stood up and said, "I've always admired U.A. High School and have wanted to say that phrase! It's also an utmost honour to be able to compete with you all and I wish you the best!" He then followed the other Shinketsu High School students to the stadium.
Shouta frowned as he spoke to his students, "Yoarashi Inasa. He's a first-year student like you and had the top score when he took the U.A. High School recommendation exams."
Shocked by the revelation, Izuku turned his attention towards Shouta and asked, "Really? Then why did he turn down the chance to attend U.A. High School?" He then turned his attention towards Shouto and Momo, who were both recommendation students, and asked, "Did something happen that made him change his mind?"
Shouto frowned and said, "I'm not sure. I wasn't particularly concerned about making friends back then. That being said, I do remember him trying to talk to me before I… brushed him off."
"Maybe he got offended by your attitude back then?" said Denki.
"That's… possible," admitted Shouto.
Well aware of Shouto's family issues, Momo patted his back comfortingly and said, "Perhaps you should talk to him when you get the chance."
"Regardless, you'll need to keep an eye on him as he's undeniably strong," said Shouta.
"Eraser-chan, is that you?"
Shouta froze after hearing the cheery voice while Hitoshi raised an eyebrow and asked, "Miss Joke? What brings you here?"
"Why, I'm here for the same reason as Eraser-chan's!" answered Emi who then turned her attention towards Shouta and said, "Anyway, let's get married!"
"Absolutely not," replied Shouta who had a tired deadpan expression on his face.
Emi laughed as she replied, "You're always so funny!"
"And your sense of humour is as terrible as always, Miss Joke," said Shouta.
"But seriously, if you marry me, we'll have a family filled with great laughter and joy," argued Emi.
"That does not sound joyful to me at all," said Shouta who made a mental note to give extra homework to his students who were giggling or snickering at his expense. As stated before, memories were shared during Toshinori's fight with All For One so the students of Class 1A knew about Shouta's past with Emi which included working together often due to having their work offices close together. It was by no means top-secret but Shouta would be lying if he claimed that he did not care about his students trying to "ship" him with Emi.
Emi turned around and called out to her students, "Come on over, everyone! Students from U.A. High School are here!" Her students, who were second years from Ketsubutsu Academy High School, then approached Izuku and his classmates.
Among the students from Emi's class, four in particular stood out. One of them was a tall and muscular boy named Shindou You who had shaggy dark-brown hair, diamond-shaped eyes and, as Izuku and his classmates immediately noted, a seemingly pleasant smile which hid calculative undertones. Another student that stood out was a boy with blue carapace-like skin, no visible ears and nose, a wide jagged mouth and blue eyes named Makabe Shikkui. The third student was a boy with thin oval-shaped eyes, shoulder-length black hair, a round nose and a small mouth named Touteki Itejirou. The fourth student was a girl with pale skin, a curvaceous and reasonably muscular build, pointed teeth similar to Eijirou's, wide rectangular eyes with thick upper eyelashes and pronounced lower ones, small blue irises and short ash blonde hair named Nakagame Tatami.
For the sake of avoiding confusion, the author of this story will refer to Shindou You by his surname.
Shindou stepped forward and said, "My name is Shindou You." He then offered to shake Izuku's hand and said, "It's an honour to meet you all."
Suddenly, Wankuro stood between Izuku and Shindou and growled threateningly at the latter, "Liar."
Shindou raised his hands in surrender and said, "Hey, that's a harsh accusation, you know!"
"Not accusation. You're liar," hissed Himiko who somehow managed to get behind him without anyone noticing.
Shindou, as well as his classmates and teacher, was shocked by Himiko's ability to get behind him without being noticed. He was also admittedly intimidated by the malicious intent that the blond noumu-girl was releasing behind him.
"It's okay, Wan-chan, Himi-chan. I can take care of myself," said Izuku while gently holding onto Wankuro's arm. Although reluctant to step down against an apparent threat, however minor he seemed to be at the moment, both Wankuro and Himiko relented as they stepped down.
Once the two noumu-girls stepped down, Emi and her students released a shared breath of relief. Instead of trying to defend Shindou's innocence, Tatami curiously asked Izuku, "How did they know?"
"Liar's smell," answered Wankuro.
"Liar's heartbeat," added Himiko.
"Yeah, he's a pretty sneaky and calculating fellow," admitted Tatami who had a sheepish expression on her face.
"Hey, you're supposed to be on my side!" said Shindou.
"It won't change the fact that those two girls are right about you," said Shikkui while Itejirou nodded in agreement.
Emi turned her attention to Shouta and asked, "I've got to ask, did you tell then about 'that'?"
Shouta shook his head and smirked as he replied, "No, I haven't. However, something tells me that I won't need to." He then told his students, "Don't waste any more time. Get changed into your costumes and head over to the information session."
Izuku and most of his classmates responded, "Yes, sir!"
As Izuku and his classmates made their way to the stadium, a certain pair of spandex-clad people spied on them from afar. The older of the two, a tall man with black hair in a shiny bowl haircut and very bushy eyebrows named Might Guy, asked, "Did you see how fast that blond noumu-girl moved, Lee?"
The younger of the two, a boy with round eyes that have thick lower eyelashes named Rock Lee, nodded and said, "She's certainly fast, Guy-sensei. I might have to remove my weights when I fight against them." Much like his teacher, he had the same shiny bowl haircut and thick eyebrows. In fact, it was not uncommon for people to mistake the two as father and son related by blood.
"Then don't hesitate to do so. Those students from U.A. High School are most certainly strong," said Guy.
Lee wore a determined smile and said, "It will be most unyouthful to hold back against strong opponents of such renown."
Guy laughed and said, "Indeed, my student!" He then gave Lee a thumb's up and added, "So don't hold back and show them what your hard work can accomplish, Lee!"
Lee gave Guy a thumb's up in return and said, "Guy-sensei!"
While Guy and Lee were having their student-teacher bonding moment, which happened rather often between the two of them, a girl with brown eyes and black hair styled into a pair of Chinese-style buns named Tenten sighed and said, "I hate to say this but this exam is probably going to be a real pain in the butt."
"It would seem that fate has given us a difficult trial to overcome," said a boy with featureless white eyes and long black hair named Hyuuga Neji. He then thought, "Hinata and her friends have a high opinion of most of them. This exam will determine if they truly deserve to receive their licenses in spite of being first years."
-A short while later, in a large "room"…-
Izuku and most of his classmates were shocked by the sheer number of people who were taking the exam. Standing before all of them was a middle-aged man with a tired-looking face, wavy beige-coloured hair that looked unkempt and an overall dishevelled appearance who introduced himself, "My name is Mera Yokumiru and I am from the Hero Public Safety Commission. My favourite form of sleep is NREM sleep." Yokumiru then started to complain, "My work has been so busy lately that I've hardly been able to sleep at all… there's just not enough manpower! I want to sleep!"
Almost all of the examinees shared the same thought, "He looks like he's about to pass out at any moment! Is he all right?"
Somehow regaining his composure, Yokumiru explained, "Right, with that out of the way, let me explain to all of you. There are 1545 of you here taking this exam and we'll carry out an exercise to whittle down your numbers. In today's day and age, we are said to be living in a hero-saturated society. However, due to recent events, there is a growing desire for heroes who are not only capable but also genuine in their heroism. Regardless of whether you chose this field for compensation or out of genuine heroism, never forget that you have a duty to rescue others and suppress villains. From the beginning of an incident to its resolution, that window of time is becoming increasingly small and tight. Therefore, everyone who receives a provisional hero licence will inevitably be put into such difficult situations. For those of you who are unable to keep up, I'll say it clearly, it's mercilessly relentless. Therefore, what's being tested will be your speed and only the first one hundred examinees who achieve the required conditions will pass."
"Wait, hold on a second! There are 1545 of us, right?! One hundred is about 5% of us, isn't it?!" yelled one of the examinees.
"Well, a lot has happened recently so just think of it as the hand you've been dealt with," replied Yokumiru.
Nearly everyone thought, "Is he serious?!"
Yokumiru then started explaining while holding a disk on one hand and an orange ball on the other hand, "Every examinee will have three 'weak point targets'. You can place them wherever you like but it must be an exposed area so places like the soles of your feet and your armpits are not allowed. You'll also be given six balls each. If a ball hits a target, it will light up. If all three of your targets get lit up, you lose. An individual who gets the third hit will be credited with a 'take-down'. Those who have at least two take-downs pass. Those are the rules."
Suddenly, the "room" that everyone was inside unfolded to reveal an open area which had mountains, forests, various buildings and even an aquatic zone. As the examinees took in their surroundings, Yokumiru said, "All of you should be able to find a terrain that works for you so make the most of what you have and do your best. Also, the balls and targets will be distributed to you all and the exam will begin one minute after you've all spread out."
Realising what might happen next, Izuku was quick to tell everyone from Class 1A that they should stay together and work as a group to pass the test. Katsuki begrudgingly agreed to cooperate with the rest of Class 1A as he knew that there was a high chance that he and his classmates would be targeted by students from other schools as soon as the exam started.
-Meanwhile, at the spectators' seats…-
Emi giggled as she spoke to Shouta, "Say, Eraser-chan, your fly's down!
Shouta sighed as he grumbled, "Why am I always surrounded by these annoying types…?"
"Anyway, it's rare of you to not have expelled anyone at this point, never mind the fact that your class has actually grown," said Emi who then asked, "You must be pretty fond of this class, huh?"
"Not particularly," replied Shouta.
Emi laughed and said, "Don't hide your true feelings! It's not very cool, you know!" She then offered, "Let's go on a date!"
"Shut up," growled Shouta.
Emi's expression turned serious as she continued to speak to Shouta, "Jokes aside, if there's one thing to call an annual custom in the provisional hero licence exams…"
-With Izuku and Class 1A…-
"Not that I'm complaining, but why are we sticking together?" asked Minoru.
"This test is probably going to become a battle between schools. If that happens, it'll only be a matter of which school they will target," explained Izuku. His expression turned grim as he added, "Among the competing hero schools of the country, our school does not have the advantage of people not knowing our quirks and everyone knows about the 'glowing dorm' incident."
Izuku's classmates wore similar grim expressions as they noticed students from other schools watching their every move and quickly came to the same conclusion, "In other words…"
-With to Shouta and Emi…-
"-it's that every exam starts with the 'U.A. High School Crushing'." concluded Miss Joke who then asked Shouta, "So why didn't you tell your kids about it?"
"There's no particular reason for me to tell them about it. In the end, what they have to do does not change," said Shouta as he watched Izuku and his classmates defend themselves from the incoming wave of attacks by students from the other schools including Emi's own students.
Emi's eyes widened as she saw Shouto create a dome of ice to protect his classmates from the initial volley of various projectiles including the orange balls that they had been given. Before Shindou could use his quirk to create an earthquake to break the icy dome, the dome suddenly exploded due to the combined might and flames of Izuku, Wankuro, Shouto, Nyujou and Katsuki. Shocked by the explosive destruction of the dome, as well as Izuku's changed appearance due to having his suit transformed by what appeared to be flames, many of the opposing students were unable to stop their counterparts from U.A. High School from counter attacking…
-Back to Izuku and Class 1A…-
Himiko smirked as she dashed across the battlefield and hit as many targets as she could without eliminating anyone, thus leaving them vulnerable to her classmates. Following closely behind her were Izuku, who was wearing his Full Gauntlets and was using 50% of One For All together with Promare, and Wankuro. Both Izuku and Wankuro had similar intentions as Himiko as they followed her lead. As the shocked students regained their wits and started to attack again, Izuku used Black Whip and Spirit Gun to deflect the projectiles, thus further cementing his status as the one who had helped Toshinori defeat All For One.
Other students from Class 1A soon took action such as Ningyou rushing out of the ruined dome and using her strings to take control of unwary opponents, Momo creating a large titanium shield to protect her allies from further attacks, Minoru and Hanta capturing careless opponents and stopping incoming projectiles with balls and tape receptively, Katsuki blowing everyone and everything away with his explosive attacks and Nyujou creating a powerful earthquake with a single stomp to prevent a group of incoming opponents from attacking her classmates.
Momo turned her attention towards Ochako and Eijirou who nodded back in response. Ochako used her quirk to make the heavy titanium shield weightless before Eijirou lifted it and charged forward while yelling, "Plus Ultra!"
Following behind Eijirou were Ochako, Shouto, Kyouka, Denki, Mina, Hitoshi and Fumikage. Rushing ahead of the group were Tsuyu and Tenya who used their enhanced speed to not only reach their opponents quickly but also protect their allies from incoming enemies and enemy counter attacks.
While Tsuyu and Tenya kicked away both opponents and incoming projectiles, Mina protected the group from incoming projectiles with veils of acid. Denki, who was equipped with new support items, was shooting discs that were electrically charged before unleashing controlled bolts of electricity to stun his targets. Kyouka generated powerful sound waves to deter incoming attackers while Shouto froze them into place. Hitoshi used his capture weapon to restrain opponents that had avoided Shouto's ice while Fumikage and Dark Shadow worked together to protect their friends while keeping both opponents and incoming projectiles at bay. Ochako, who was following the group, kept a lookout for anyone whom the others might have missed due to the chaos of battle.
Once Eijirou's team was on its way to pass the exam, Momo created a large glass prism and said, "Aoyama-kun, make everything twinkle!"
"Avec plaisir, Mademoiselle Yaoyorozu!" replied Yuuga before shooting his laser beam into the prism. The prism caused the laser beam to split apart and scatter in a wide arc, thus hitting many incoming students. Taking advantage of the chaos caused by the attack, Tooru charged forward and allowed herself to be hit by the laser beams, thus creating either blinding flashes of light or redirecting the beams to hit unlucky targets. Mashirao, Sero, Minoru and Ningyou stood guard to protect Yuuga while he continued to shoot his laser beams into the prism.
Momo created a megaphone and handed it to Kouji who knew what to do with it…
-Back to Shouta and Emi…-
Emi was gaping as she watched Shouta's students take down students from other schools, including some of her own, with an efficiency that she would have expected from experienced pro-heroes. Even though she knew that the noumu-girls would be a challenge, never mind the fact that Izuku was clearly the "Saviour of Peace", she did not expect nearly all of them to be able to work so seamlessly as a whole team. At the rate that they were going, they would pass the first test for certain.
"They just have to overcome whatever stands in their way," said Shouta who then smirked and added, "Being a hero means being able to get yourself out of a pinch. Also, once you become a pro-hero, your quirk will be known to the rest of the world regardless. I'm sorry to say, but we're looking a bit farther ahead than everyone else." He then glanced to the side to look at Guy and thought, "The exams aside, it seems that a certain annoying 'Green Beast' has taken an interest in my students. He's most likely here to help determine the one responsible for helping All Might during that fight with All For One on behalf of the Hero Public Safety Commission (H.P.S.C.)." Shouta snorted as he mentally added, "Well, Midoriya's role won't be secret for long at this rate."
Guy, who was indeed looking for the one responsible for helping Toshinori, smiled as he thought, "Those students, especially Dekiru and Wan-Chan, are most youthful!"
Mera, who had somehow forgotten how tired and sleepy he was due to being shocked by what he was seeing, stared at the students from U.A. High School for a moment before he asked, "So, what's your opinion?"
"Honestly, those students are already fit to be sidekicks," answered Kaina (a.k.a Lady Nagant) who stood in the shadows behind Mera as "security". She then added, "Even those who lack powerful quirks are showing levels of skill beyond what most would expect from first year students. That's not even counting Dekiru who's clearly the one we've been looking for."
"In other words, students from the other schools have little chance to stop them from passing the test," said Mera.
"You might want to consider giving at least some of them a chance to retake the exam," said Kaina who winced in sympathy after seeing Wankuro deliver an uppercut to an unlucky contestant.
Suddenly, the sky turned dark…
-Back to the battlefield…-
"You have got to be shitting me!" yelled Shindou as he looked upwards and saw a massive flock of birds flying overhead. He and roughly half of his classmates had barely avoided getting disqualified by Izuku and his classmates by retreating as soon as they realised that they had lost the advantage.
Tatami, whose quirk allowed her to retract her head, body and limbs in a manner similar to that of a turtle, popped her retracted head out and said, "Those first year U.A. kids are insane!"
"Insane, maybe. Youthful, definitely!"
Surprised, Shindou and his classmates turned their attention towards a certain student in green spandex named Lee who grinned while observing how Izuku and his classmates rapidly scored take downs to pass the exam. At the rate they were going, Lee knew that he would be unable to test their limits without risking his own chances of passing the test. While he still wanted to have a match with them, he had his priorities.
"W-who the hell are you?" asked Shindou.
Lee grinned broadly and revealed his shiny white teeth while saying, "I'm the Handsome Devil: Sunrise!"
Suddenly, Neji and Tenten appared behind Lee. Neji studied the students from Katsubutsu Academy High and said, "It seems that you're fated to meet misfortune this day."
Tenten grinned while holding a Chinse mace in her hand and said, "In other words, we're passing this test!"
Long story short, among Emi's students, only Shindou, Tatami, Shikkui and Itejirou were able to pass the exam.
-Some time later…-
Izuku and all of his classmates were able to pass the exam with time to spare. In fact, Izuku did not even need to use his full "hidden arsenal of quirks" to pass the exam as he and his classmates were able to overwhelm the competition with their teamwork alone. Of course, having powerful noumu-girls certainly helped. Other students that passed the first stage of the exam included Lee, Tenten, Neji, Camie, Inasa, Seiji, Shindou, Tatami, Shikkui and Itejirou.
Once the first test was over and all the examinees had evacuated the exam premises, the entire area was destroyed with the use of explosives to stimulate a disaster zone with specially-trained individuals from the 'Help Us Company' acting as disaster victims. As the members of the company went to their respective positions, Izuku and his classmates took their chance to rest and regain their strength.
While Izuku and his classmates were resting, a second year student from Seiai Academy High School, a pale girl with thin cat-like eyes that were bluish-lilac in colour and straight pale-lavender hair which reached to her waist took notice of the U.A. High School Students. The girl with pale-lavender hair, whose name was Intelli Saiko, could not help but pay special attention to Izuku who was standing together with Ochako, Tsuyu, Wankuro and Himiko. An already-intelligent girl with a quirk that boosted her intelligence further, she already suspected that Izuku was the rumoured "Saviour of Peace" even before the exam started. As such, she gave up any plans of attacking the students of U.A. High School and instead focused on taking out students from other schools. Her decision to be cautious had paid off as she and most of her classmates had passed the first part of the exam without much issue.
Personally, Saiko found Izuku rather plain looking but his ability to get everyone in his class to work together and pass as a whole group, never mind his great power, was nothing short of praiseworthy. As Saiko focused her attention onto Izuku and noted the way he interacted with the four girls who clearly liked him, she smiled as she began to find an interest in understanding him better.
Saiko was not the only one as many other students also had a growing interest towards Izuku. One of them was a second year student from Shiketsu High School, a boy covered entirely in light-brown hair with no distinct features other than his viridian eyes which only showed up occasionally named Moura Nagamasa. Nagamasa, who was also the class representative of Seiji and Camie's class, hummed thoughtfully as he thought, "It seems that we'll have to work hard to have even a slim chance to be in the top ten, let alone the No.1 spot in the hero rankings."
Feeling both bold and curious, Nagamasa approached Izuku and asked politely, "Midoriya, may I ask you a question?" Following behind him were Inasa, Camie and Seiji.
Izuku tilted his head and asked innocently, "About what exactly?"
"Forgive me for being blunt, but are you the one who helped All Might defeat All For One?" asked Nagamasa. His question immediately got the attention of everyone who was observing Izuku.
Having no reason to hide his identity any further, Izuku shook his head and replied honestly, "Not exactly. I may have played a big role in helping him but I did not do it alone."
"I assume that you're referring to your classmates at the very least," said Nagamasa.
"You assume correctly," confirmed Izuku.
"So the rumours about you being the 'Saviour of Peace' is true," said Camie.
Izuku blushed and said, "I'm still a bit embarrassed about that title."
Inasa grinned broadly and said, "Personally, I think that title suits you! You're the one who basically saved the 'Symbol of Peace' after all!"
"Like I said before, I didn't do it alone," said Izuku who then smiled and added, "I wouldn't have been anywhere near as good as I am now if I had been on my own."
Sensing the sincerity in Izuku's statement, not even Sieji had the callousness needed to dismiss him. Nagamasa smiled while offering his hand to Izuku and said, "My name is Moura Nagamasa and I look forward to working together with you, Dekiru."
"Likewise, Moura-san," replied Izuku while shaking Nagamasa's hand. He then remembered something and turned his attention towards Inasa and asked, "Yoarashi-san, do you have a moment?"
Inasa tilted his head and asked, "What is it?"
"It has something to do with me," said Shouto who appeared behind Inasa with Momo by his side.
Almost immediately, Inasa's expression turned into a scowl as he glared at Shouto and growled, "Oh, it's you, son of Endeavour."
Shouta's stoic expression did not waver as he spoke simply, "Who do you hate more, Endeavour or me?"
Surprised by the question, Inasa was stunned for a moment before he angrily replied, "I don't know what you're playing at, but I hate the both of you!"
"Then allow me to just say that if you hate Endeavour, imagine being forced to live with him for years," replied Shouto who then pulled back his hair to reveal his scar and added, "Never mind being expected to live the way he wants you to live regardless of your own wishes."
Inasa's eyes widened in shock as he took in Shouto's words which, as much as the more resentful side of him refused to simply accept, made sense. As he continued to stare as Shouto, he realised that Shouto's current expression was nothing like the face he had seen on both Endeavour and the boy whom he met back at the recommendation exams. After a moment of silence, Inasa finally said, "I'll… keep that in mind, Todoroki."
Suddenly, an alarm sounded and Mera made an announcement, "Villains have committed an act of terrorism. The affected area is the entirety of [Redacted] city. The destruction of numerous buildings have resulted in a large number of victims. The damage to the roads is severe and the first-response emergency unit will be considerably late to arrive. Until they arrive, all rescue activities on site will be left to you, heroes. Save everyone that you can!"
The one hundred examinees who had passed the first test immediately set off to find the "victims" and rescue them. As they were not given any clear instructions all they could do was use their training to rescue them to the best of their abilities.
Unlike before, Izuku and his classmates started to split up to make the best of their respective abilities. In a different time line, Izuku and his classmates were unprepared to deal with despairing victims due to a clear lack of experience. However, in this story, after everything that they had experienced, they were more than prepared to put on a brave front to help the victims efficiently and without hesitation. Even Katsuki was willing to hold back his temper towards the victims even though he was still standoffish.
Given the nature of the second exam, students from different schools quickly started cooperating with one another to rescue as many victims as they could. Mera took note of the low number of deducted points for the students from various schools, especially for Izuku and his classmates, and spoke to someone over a communication device, "It seems that the examinees are doing rather well."
"Then it's high time that I make my appearance."
Suddenly, an explosion occurred at one end of the stadium.
Shocked by the sudden explosion, everyone turned their attention towards it. As the smoke cleared, Izuku immediately recognised one person who stood out from the rest and immediately yelled out in warning, "Everyone! Endeavour and his sidekicks are taking the villain roles for the test!"
Standing before a group of "fire-themed villainous minions" was Enji (a.k.a. Endeavour). Much like his minions, he was wearing villainous-looking "armour" which was actually restraints to weaken him enough that he would not disqualify the students too quickly. He glared at the students, especially at Izuku, and growled, "Minions, take down the heroes and the victims. Dekiru is mine!"
"Yes, sir!" yelled Enji's "minions" before they charged forward as one. One of them was a young woman with big dark eyes, pointy teeth and long, flaming green hair with two bangs on each side named Kamiji Moe who was also known as Burnin.
As the minions charged towards the students and the victims, Mera announced, "With the appearance of the villains, the pursuit has begun! Heroes, you must suppress the villains and continue to carry out your rescue efforts!"
Immediately afterwards, various hero-students either rushed forward to intercept the minions or hurried to rescue the victims. Wankuro, who had been working together with Izuku to rescue the victims, charged forward to intercept the minions. With her fire resistance, speed and strength, she proved herself to be a tough opponent against them even by herself. Lee, who had previously challenged Izuku to a good-natured competitive match of who would be able to rescue more victims, quickly joined her in her endeavour to fend off the minions.
Enji, who could fly by shooting flames from his feet, simply ignored the other hero students and leapt into the air before diving towards Izuku like a flaming meteorite. Realising that he was being targeted by Enji, Izuku called upon 60% of One For All while using Bio-Repair, Promare and float and yelled, "Everyone, Endeavour's targeting me! I'll try to hold him off as long as I can!"
"Okay!" yelled Wankuro. She then howled as loudly as she could so that a certain other nomu-girl would hear her call for aid.
Izuku immediately set off while yelling, if you want me, come and get me, Endeavour!"
Enji's scowl grew more severe as he changed course to go after Izuku and yelled, "Come and face me, 'Saviour of Peace'!"
Under normal circumstances, having Enji play the role as the villain in a test would be overkill, never mind his apparent focus on Izuku. However, given the very real problem of properly testing the powerful noumu-girls and the student responsible for saving All Might, the H.P.S.C. felt that having Enji involved was warranted. Besides, Enji was one of the pro-heroes who was not affected by the "Light of Hope" which meant that he would not be conflicted by any loyalty towards Izuku.
Praying that the others would be able to save the rest of the remaining victims while holding off the minions, Izuku turned around in mid-air and flicked his finger with a burst of One For All at 90%. Aware of the attack, Enji immediately dodged to the side while maintaining his course in spite of the shock wave produced by Izuku.
Izuku bit back a curse while deactivating Float and activated Spirit Gun. He then flicked his finger again with 90% of One For All. Unlike before, the attack unleashed a wide volley of scattered "spirit bullets" at the pro-hero. The pro-hero gritted his teeth as he was forced to fly upwards to avoid the volley. As he flew upwards, he glared at Izuku and growled, "Take this!" He then shot a torrent of flame at Izuku with the intention of taking him down with a single attack. Instead of being scared, Izuku reactivated Float and flicked his finger again to blow away the flame.
Pushed back by the counter attack, Enji did not have time to realise that Izuku had switched Float with Black Whip and ensnared him with it. He barely had time to register the attack before Izuku quickly spun around and slammed him into the ground below.
In spite of the successful attack, Izuku did not dare to lower his guard as he switched back to using Float instead of Black Whip. Even if Enji was somehow defeated, he still needed to help the others deal with Enji's minions and rescue the victims at the same time. As if to confirm his fears, Enji suddenly stood up and yelled, "Hellfire Storm!"
Izuku was barely able to dodge the attack which created a tornado of flames. As Izuku dodged the attack, Enji suddenly leapt towards him while being propelled by his flames. Just as the pro-hero was about to attack Izuku with a punch accelerated by a flaming jet-like propulsion, Himiko suddenly appeared behind him and slammed her feet onto his back. Prior to hearing Wankuro's howl for aid, she had been helping Ochako and Tsuyu to bring injured civilians to a makeshift triage. Although Himiko did not turn her feet into sharp talons, the double kick was strong enough to slam him face-first into the ground.
Izuku smiled at Himiko, whose arms were unsurprisingly bat-like wings at the moment, gratefully and said, "Thanks for the save, Scarlet!"
Himiko, who had decided that her heroine codename would be the 'Vampiric Heroine: Scarlet', grinned at Izuku and replied, "Anytime, Dekiru!"
Enji, who was getting back onto his feet, was suddenly punched in the face by Wankuro who was able to catch up with Izuku after Shindou, Shouto and Inasa arrived and cooperated in taking out Endeavour's minions. Stunned by the powerful punch, Enji tried to retaliate only for Wankuro to punch him in the stomach and release a powerful burst of crimson flame. Although Enji was undeniably resistant to fire, he was by no means immune to it as even his own flames could harm him if overused due to overheating. It could therefore be said that Wankuro was not only causing him physical injury but was also causing him to overheat even faster.
In spite of the circumstances, Enji was the No.2 Pro-hero for a reason as he slammed his feet into the ground to steady himself and, while taking advantage of the surrounding flames made by Wankuro, yelled, "Vanishing Fist!" He then charged froward and delivered a powerful flaming hook which, upon impact, would unleash a massive flaming fist through the target.
Normally, such an attack would be considered overkill for even most villains, let alone a hero student. However, Wankuro was a noumu-girl who was not only resistant to fire but could also heal from her injuries. What was more, she had sparred with Rumi (a.k.a. Miruko) before so she had experience facing such quick and powerful attacks. As such, she smirked as she deflected the incoming attack, which still injured her, with one arm and, in one swift motion, delivered a jaw-breaking flaming uppercut with her other arm.
Izuku winced as he saw the exchange of blows from above, which happened within a span of a few seconds, and thought, "I may not have any reason to like Endeavour, but that has got to hurt."
Unable to fight any longer, Enji promptly passed out…
-Meanwhile, with Shouta and Emi…-
Emi gaped as she stated the obvious, "She just… defeated Endeavour with just a few hits!"
"Given the fact that she is supposed to be on par with a noumu that has been specifically designed to kill All Might, the result is not all that surprising. Also, between given her own set of abilities that makes her a powerful counter to Endeavour and the restraints that he was clearly wearing, she's bound to have the advantage," said Shouta.
"Not that I disagree with your assessment, but there's no denying that she's a very powerful opponent," said Guy who had appeared behind Shouta and Emi unnoticed.
Shouta, who was an underground pro-hero that had dealt with ninja-heroes before, calmly replied, "I never said that she wasn't." He then added, "I was not aware that you and your students would be coming to this exam venue today, Springtime."
"Well, it was a last-minute change of plans. After all, I was very interested to meet the youthful students who had helped All Might defeat All For One," replied Guy.
"In other words, you and Lady Nagant are here to find out the identity of the student who had played a role in helping All Might," said Shouta.
"The H.P.S.C. may be grateful for Dekiru's unexpected help but you can't exactly blame them for wanting to keep tabs on him," said Guy who had no reason to deny the truth.
"No, I suppose not," conceded Shouta. Even a government that, by one miracle or another, lacked corruption would keep tabs on powerful people of interest.
"I'm honestly surprised that your student has not tried to challenge Dekiru to an actual duel," said Emi who was also familiar with ninja-heroes due to working together with Shouta regularly.
"Oh, he wanted to do just that during the first test but his friends managed to convince him to wait and observe first since so many other students from different schools wanted to take on Eraser Head's students," said Guy. He then grinned and added, "Besides, there's always next time to have a proper duel."
"He can have his duel after we deal with the press and the media," said Shouto who the grimaced and groaned, "Those vultures are going to have a bloody field day once they learn about that problem child."
Guy laughed cheerfully and said, "As a friend of mind would say, things are about to become a 'total drag'!"
-A short while later…-
Izuku and his classmates joyously cheered, "All right! We've all passed!" While everyone from Class 1A had passed the exam, Katsuki nearly failed due to having an unpleasantly standoffish personality and constantly arguing with Seiji who despised Katsuki for his vulgar attitude. Ironically enough, Seiji, who believed that all heroes should be dignified, also almost failed the test due to constantly antagonising Katsuki.
Other students who had passed included Inasa, Camie and Nagamasa from Shiketsu High School, Shindou, Tatami, Shikkui and Itejirou from Ketsubutsu Academy High School, Saiko from Seiai Academy High School and Neji, Tenten and Lee from Konoha Academy High School. Much like Izuku and his classmates, they were glad to have passed as well.
Lee had a broad grin that showed off his shiny white teeth while he spoke to Izuku and his classmates, "While I still lament the lost chance to have a proper duel with you, it's a great honour to pass alongside with such youthful peers!"
It should be noted that Lee had promised to himself that he would walk on his hands all the way back to Konoha Academy High School if he had lost the challenge to save more civilians than Izuku during the second text. However, since Izuku was understandably occupied with facing Endeavour, Lee accepted the challenge to be a technical draw even though he had managed to save more civilians in total.
Inasa, who was also grinning, smiled at Izuku, Wankuro and Himiko and said, "Not to mention you three actually kicked Endeavour's ass!"
Izuku blushed and said, "Honestly, it's not as impressive as you might think. Endeavour was clearly wearing restraints that looked like villainous armour just like his sidekicks."
"Even if that was the case, the fact that you three defeated him so easily proves that you're all very strong," said Nagamasa.
Ochako nodded with a smile and said, "Himi-chan flew SUPER fast after she heard Wan-chan's howl!"
"Her speed was indeed most impressive," said Saiko who had worked together with Ochako, Tsuyu and Himiko to rescue civilians with the help of both her classmates who had passed the first test and her own quirk-enhanced intellect. If she was honest to herself, she found Himiko's speed to be downright frightening especially when combined with both her ability to transform her hands and feet into sharp claws and her ability to transform into other people by consuming their blood.
"I just got word from Itsuka!" said Momo who then announced with a bright smile on her face, "She and all of her classmates all passed as well!"
"Oh, hell yeah!" yelled Eijirou who was happy that Tetsutetsu from Class 1B had passed his own exam and said, "We're going to have a party!"
"I can't wait to get back to the dorms!" exclaimed Mina.
Shindou, who easily overheard the more boisterous students from U.A. High School, bitterly said, "Of course they're going to have a party after trouncing us so badly in the first test."
Tatami wore a sympathetic smile and said, "Hey, I get that you're frustrated but not all of us failed. Besides, our classmates, including the ones who have failed to pass the first test, will have a chance to take up a make-up exam in three months' time."
"Besides, it's a good thing that you kids suffer defeat now instead of while being in the field," said Emi who the grinned at her students and said, "Trust me, part of the reason why those kids are so good at what they do is because they have more actual combat experience than most second or, in some cases, even third year students. Also, both Dekiru and those noumu-girls are no joke at all."
Shindou and his classmates shuddered as they recalled how Izuku, Wankuro and Himiko attacked them during the first test and almost got them disqualified before Lee and his classmates from Konoha Academy High School finished most of them off. Itejirou groaned, "If I ever have to face them as enemies ever again, it will be too soon!"
"I am of the same opinion," said Shikkui.
Emi laughed and said, "Then be grateful that they'll be your comrades as fellow pro-heroes!"
-Meanwhile, in a separate part of the stadium…-
"So, the 'Saviour of Peace' was indeed one of the first-year students from U.A. High School," said the presidents of the H.P.S.C. who was speaking to Mera and Kaina.
Mera nodded and said, "By all accounts, Midoriya Izuku is a hero student who, while not perfect, is undeniably exemplary."
Kaina nodded and said, "In fact, it can be said that most of his classmates are exemplary."
"Do you suspect that he has any kind of influence on any of the students, including his schoolmates from the other class?" asked the president.
Kaina shook her head and said, "It's hard to say for sure but I doubt that he has a direct influence on them. At the very least, he has not shown any attempt to control any of them, or students from other schools for that matter, during the exam." She then shrugged and said, "I'm just glad that Springtime did not encourage all of his students to challenge Izuku and his classmates, as well as the fact that Springtime's protege was willing to listen to his classmates."
"Never mind the fact that Endeavour did not go all out in spite of clearly wanting to take down Midoriya," said Mera who then added, "All things considered, it's a rather successful exam with the hidden essential objectives fulfilled."
Due to the injuries caused by Wankuro, Enji had to be sent to a nearby hospital so that his broken jaw could be healed fully. Not surprisingly, the pro-hero would be bitter and angry at the loss regardless of the fact that he had been wearing restraints at the time.
"What of the offer to give students a chance to take the make-up exam?" asked the president who then raised an eyebrow and added, "While I can understand giving the few students who had at least passed the first part of the exam a chance, extending that offer to their classmates seems a bit much, is it not?"
"Not really. That extension to the offer has only increased the number of students who will be taking the make-up exam to about 100," replied Mera who then explained, "Besides, after seeing how well the students from U.A. High School perform in both tests, I honestly think that they deserve another chance at the very least."
The president smiled ruefully and said, "After seeing the records of the first test, I can't exactly disagree with you. Those children from U.A. High School, especially Class 1A, are on a whole different level."
"Do you intend to get more information about them?" asked Kaina.
The president nodded and said, "While I doubt that drastic measures will be needed, I do want to know how those children manage to perform so well. At the very least, it will not hurt to further improve the standard of future generations of pro-heroes."
"That much, I can agree with," said Mera who then frowned and added, "While All For One is dead, his allies and minions are very much alive. That's not even counting the fact that the League of Villains is not the only major group we have to worry about."
"Which is why getting as many reliable pro-heroes out in the field as possible is your top priority, Yokumiru," said the president.
Mera nodded and said, "Let's just hope that the current generation will be able to hold things together in the mean time." While he knew that the current generation of young heroes was promising, he refused to get overconfident.
"Will I be needed to assist him again?" asked Kaina.
"No, I have a different task for you," said the president who then grimly added, "I need you to cooperate with pro-heroes and the Meta Liberation Army to locate and capture agents of Humarise within Japan."
Kaina narrowed her eyes and asked, "Are they planning to spread their influence in Japan?"
The president nodded and said, "Given the upheaval caused by both All Might's retirement and All For One's well-deserved demise, never mind the fact that we are currently cooperating with the Meta Liberation Army to take down the League of Villains and letting girls with admittedly involuntarily-received quirk enhancements become pro-heroines, I'm honestly not surprised that Humarise intends to somehow increase their influence here to stop the 'taint of quirks' from spreading further. Thankfully, the Meta Liberation Army wants them gone as much as we do if not even more so."
Left unsaid was the worrying idea that, in the endeavour to take down the Meta Liberation Army after the Aldera Junior High Scandal, the pro-heroes and police force of Japan might have inadvertently allowed Humarise to grow as a dangerous influence within the country.
"I understand," said Kaina who was determined to keep the anti-quirk cult, Humarise, from causing terror in Japan. While she believed that quirkless people should be treated as fellow people instead of "lesser humans", hence why she was still distrustful towards the Meta Liberation Army as a whole, she refused to accept the idea that people with quirks should be exterminated.
"Well, I doubt I will need her here for much longer so feel free to give her the location at the soonest time possible," said Mera who then sighed and thought, "Besides, having someone as competent as Lady Nagant out in the field will make it easier for me to relax and get some much-needed sleep."
Less than an hour later, Kaina made her way to meet up with other pro-heroes and agents of the Meta Liberation Army to take down a common threat…
-Later that day, at the dorms of U.A. High School…-
"CHEERS!" yelled the residents of Dorms 1A, the residents of Dorm 1B, Mei and the adults who could make it for the celebration. Among the adults were Shouta, Kan (a.k.a. Vlad King), Toshinori, Inko, Ochako's parents, Emiko's parents, Nedzu, Nemuri (a.k.a. Midnight), Hizashi (a.k.a. Present Mic) and Lunch Rush.
Unlike the modest party to celebrate Melissa's enrolment as a student of U.A. High School a few days ago, this party was a grander event with lots of food and non-alcoholic drinks. In fact the food was prepared through the combined efforts of Lunch Rush, Inko, Ochako's mother, Emiko's mother and the young children.
While Nemuri talked to Shouta, mainly to ask him how her former senior, Might Guy, was doing, Emiko's parents and Pony volunteered to keep the younger children company while they watched a kid-friendly animated film together. Kan and Hizashi were having a discussion that was related to pro-heroes with Itsuka, Tetsutetsu, Nirengeki, Juuzou and Setsuna while Rikidou and Lunch Rush were discussing about sweet desserts. Hanta and Kousei talked about the "hot babes" that they saw during their respective exams while Fumikage, Ibara, Shihai, Kinoko, Tooru and Mashirao talked about their respective experiences in the exams. Neito, who claimed that Class 1A had an unfair advantage in their exam due to having the noumu-girls in their group at the time, was unsurprisingly held in check by Yousetsu and Sen.
"I'm so glad that we all passed the exam together!" said Ochako.
"Big win!" agreed Wankuro.
"Now that we have our provisional pro-hero licences, it is imperative that we strive to do our best to help the pro-heroes!" said Tenya.
"Not that I disagree, but we can't exactly do pro-hero work legally until we start our work studies," said Shouto.
"Speaking of work studies, I wonder which pro-hero will send offers to us, kero," said Tsuyu.
"I'm pretty sure the pro-heroes whom we have worked with before, as well as the pro-heroes who are 'in the know', will at least consider giving us offers," said Momo.
"Like Rumi-chan?" asked Himiko.
"Amongst other pro-heroes," confirmed Momo.
"As much as I want to work under Gran Torino, Sir Nighteye and Miruko again, I won't mind working under another pro-hero to broaden my horizons," said Izuku.
"We also have to consider if the noumu-girls who have passed the exam will be able to take care of themselves or will need someone around to help them," said Melissa.
"That's not even counting the fact that three of them have been forced to commit crimes," said Shouto. Himiko's expression fell as she recalled her past actions while under the control of the League of Villains.
"Yeah, that will certainly make things complicated," admitted Izuku. As much as he cared for all the noumu-girls, even he knew that Himiko, Nyujou and Ningyou's past crimes would not be easily forgotten. Himiko's past crimes would be especially difficult to forget due to the fact that she had killed people.
"If it makes you feel any better, the teachers here and many pro-heroes who are 'in the know' are already taking such matters into consideration."
Surprised, Izuku and his friends turned their attention towards Nedzu who was smiling proudly at them. Standing behind the principal were Ochako's parents, Inko and Toshinori. Feeling curious, Izuku asked, "What do you mean, Nedzu-sensei?"
"While the choices for your work studies will ultimately still be your own decisions, we are taking steps to ensure that any pro-hero who wants to recruit you is trustworthy," answered Nedzu who then explained, "Also, I have every intention of having the noumu-girls either work together with a classmate whom they can trust or someone who is 'in the know' to ensure that they will not be ill-treated and get all the help that they will need for their careers."
Kyouka, who was speaking to Denki, Eijirou, Mina, Nyujou, Minoru and Ningyou, overheard what Nedzu had said due to her keen sense of hearing. Understandably, she got curious and gave a sign to the others that Izuku and the people around him were talking about something that she wanted to listen to.
"Out of curiosity, how many pro-heroes are sending offers to Midoriya just because everyone now knows that he is the 'Saviour of Peace'?" asked Shouto.
Izuku's identity as the "Saviour of Peace" spread extremely quickly after the exam and, within just a few hours, everyone with an internet connection around the world knew about it.
Nedzu grimaced and replied, "A lot more than I'd like to say."
Toshinori sighed as he recalled his own past as a hero-student and said, "It's a problem that every promising young hero student has to face, I'm afraid."
"Not that I can really blame them," said Mr Uraraka who then added, "Just having Izuku around alone would get them a lot of fame and, with it, a lot more support from the public and the government including monetary support."
"That may be true, but what Izuku truly needs is proper support to be the best that he can be," said Inko who frowned at the memory of how Katsuki had changed just because he chose to associate with people who only admired him for his quirk and wanted to ride on his coattails.
"Which is why we're making sure that the pro-heroes who want Midoriya-kun and his friends as interns must be, at the very least, competent and trustworthy," said Nedzu who then turned his attention towards Izuku and asked, "Speaking of having competent and trustworthy pro-heroes as mentors, are you against letting Wankuro-kun intern with Miruko by herself while you intern with another pro-hero?"
"Honestly, I don't mind but I can't help but worry about the possible collateral damage," answered Izuku who could not help but chuckle with his friend and family while Wankuro protested with a pout on her face.
"Well, if nothing else, my husband and I can always assist in the repairs if Nedzu-san allows it," said Mrs Uraraka.
"Costly yet amusing results aside, that still leaves us with Toga-shoujo, Ushimaru-shoujo and Bunraku-shoujo," said Toshinori.
"Given Toga-kun's abilities, I think that Edge Shot will be the most suitable for her," said Nedzu who then added, "Her ability to transform into other people will no doubt be very useful for stealth missions which both underground and ninja pro-heroes tend to rely on."
"That can work, but I'd feel better if she's with someone from Class 1A or Class 1B," said Izuku.
"Well, Shinsou-kun has worked with Toga-kun before and he plans to be an underground pro-hero himself so I'm sure that Edge Shot will not mind having them both as interns," said Nedzu.
"What about Nyujou-chan and Ningyou-chan?" asked Kyouka who had decided to involved herself in the conversation.
Nedzu, who was both highly intelligent and a pro-hero, was not surprised that Kyouka had overheard the conversation as he turned his attention towards her and replied, "If possible, I'd like Ushimaru-kun to work together with Kirishima-kun, Ashido-kun or both while Bunraku-kun works together with Minoru-kun or Jirou-kun."
"But you expect complications," said Ningyou.
"Even the best pro-heroes can only teach so many interns at the same time before they either need assistance or are forced to limit the number of interns that they can accept without compromising themselves," said Toshinori who then sighed and admitted sheepishly, "Thanks to experience and hindsight after teaching your class, I'm intimately aware of that fact."
Inko wore an encouraging smile and said, "Don't be too hard on yourself, Toshinori-kun. You're still new to the job."
"As your teachers, we will do what we can but you must be prepared for possible unfavourable scenarios," said Nedzu.
Minoru shuddered as he recalled how a certain pro-heroine named Mount Lady treated him like a manservant during his internship with her and muttered, "I can already imagine one scenario even without villains involved."
Kyouka smirked at Minoru and said, "Here's to hoping that your next choice of pro-heroes will be wiser than last time."
"To be fair, he was at the right place at the right time because of his choice," said Ningyou while smiling fondly at Minoru.
"The same can be said about Eijirou-kun saving Nyujou-chan," said Mina while grinning at Eijirou and Nyujou.
Denki wore a cheeky grin as he asked Kyouka in a conspiratorial manner, "So, what are the chances that the guys who are still single will be getting future girlfriends during their work studies?"
Kyouka jabbed him with her ear-jacked half-heartedly and said, "Like hell I'm going to get myself involved in that kind of discussion!"
Izuku smiled as the people around him continued to interact with one another and thought, "Here's to hoping that everything will work out for the better."
-End Chapter-
Author's Notes:
Firstly, I would like to apologise for the late update as I have been getting preoccupied with other things. Also, I actually wanted to make more changes to the provisional pro-hero licence exams but, as you can see, things did not turn out that way in spite of the four characters added to the story. Speaking about the four of them, who are obviously based on characters from 'Naruto':
- Might Guy, a tall man with black hair in a shiny bowl haircut and very bushy eyebrows. He is both a pro-hero and the home room teacher of a class of second year students from Konoha Academy High. His quirk, [Limit Break], allows him to achieve great feats of physical speed and strength but at the expense of exhausting and injuring himself. If overused to the extreme, he will be crippled or even die. To make up for the weakness, he trains himself every day to the point of having superhuman strength and speed even without using his quirk. (He is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, can be surprisingly stealthy in spite of being dressed in a bright green spandex and carries hidden weapons such as his throwing daggers.) (He used to be Nemuri's senior when she started her pro-hero work studies.) [The Noble Beast: Springtime]
- Rock Lee, a boy with round eyes that have thick lower eyelashes, black hair in a shiny bowl haircut and very bushy eyebrows. He is a second-year student of Konoha Academy High. His quirk, [Strength Gates], allows him to increase his physical speed and strength in distinct stages. The more "gates" he unlocks, the more powerful he will become but at the expense of suffering greater exhaustion and injury after using his quirk. If overused to the extreme, he will be crippled or even die. To make up for the weakness, he follows Might Guy's style of training every day to the point of having superhuman strength and speed even without using his quirk. (He idolises Might Guy.) (He is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, can be surprisingly stealthy in spite of being dressed in a bright green spandex and can wield the bandages wrapped around his hands like whips.) [The Handsome Devil: Sunrise]
- Hyuuga Neji a boy with featureless white eyes and long black hair. He is a second-year student of Konoha Academy High. His quirk, [Broad Sight], allows him to have near 360° sight save for a small blind spot at the back of his neck when activated. What is more, he is capable of seeing through most barriers and smokescreens. (He is Hinata's elder cousin.) (He wields a pair of stun-guns and is skilled in hand-to-hand combat) [The All Seeing Hero: Broad Sight]
- Tenten is a girl with brown eyes and black hair styled into a pair of Chinese-style buns . She is a second-year student of Konoha Academy High. Her quirk, [Weapon Space], allows her to store a literal arsenal of weapons inside her arms. However, she cannot store weapons with complex moving parts or electronics such as guns so she mostly stores "simpler weapons" such as knives, swords, spears, staffs, clubs, hammers and tonfas. She is also very good at throwing her weapons with great accuracy. (She has a fascination of the supernatural such as ghosts.) [The Weapons Heroine: Armoury]
Please note that I wrote this story prior to the canon reveal of Enji's family circumstances which were more tragic that what was initially implied in the earlier parts of canon. As such, his past actions in this story are more in line in the early-canon idea that he was a remorseless abuser who only wanted powerful successors.
I intend to finish this story soon so that I can focus on other things. As such, I will be focusing on this story for the time being.
Until next time, go beyond, plus ultra!
