Disclaimer: I don't own Gundam
Hey guys, back with another update that includes the end of the Wing Zero saga and a recreation of what was my favourite moment in the Wing Series, the debut of Deathscythe Hell and Altron, enjoy.
Gundam Rise Purpose
Chapter 11: Zero vs. Purpose
Quatre Winner, Gekido remembered where he had first heard that name. Yamato Kuzunagi seemingly and probably deliberately formed bonds with the people connected to Gundam pilots. But what was the point of it all Gekido wondered. Could Yamato have seen the conflict lasting beyond Genesis, beyond Uragiri? True he was a member of the organisation, but why wouldn't he reveal the full extent of the organisation's power?
'Your intentions were never clear father,' Gekido shook his head.
The Purpose's display chimed and Gekido sighed.
"I know buddy, this organisation is turning out to be a real mess maker. The Bloody valentine war, the moon conflict, the colonies and maybe even that internal struggle within Celestial Being. Its all because of them manipulating events, we don't know whether we're moving against them, or playing into their hands. It pisses me off, not knowing when we're turning the tide!" he slammed his fist into his side screen.
He narrowed his eyes as he began to approach the colony Zero had targeted. The colony's defences were already going off, firing beams at the white, blue and red suit flying across space. Its manoeuvrability was outstanding; the wings on its back seemed to flap as if it truly was an angel. But Gekido knew that the pilot was far from being an angel, he wasn't going to waste time with sentiments like 'he used to be a nice guy'. If he wasn't the truly good person that other pilot Trowa believed him to be, then he would be another notch on the Purpose's fist. Gekido pushed the Purpose forward, flying between the beams.
"You're afraid to die aren't you?" he heard the pilot asked, he did have that gentle, if deranged voice. "THEN YOU SHOULDN'T BE FIGHTING!" the pilot yelled.
"Shouldn't be fighting? Oh I see," Gekido muttered.
He closed his eye, his eyebrow twitching before he revealed the fury in his eye.
"You're one of 'those' people," he snarled.
Quatre widened his eyes slightly as the Purpose appeared in his field of vision. Likewise the zero system analysed the Gundam, finding plenty of data on the past, but nothing to predict its future movements. The Purpose squeezed its hand into a fist and pointed it at Wing Zero.
"That's right Purpose, we'll wake this guy up even if it means destroying that machine," Gekido said.
The Wing Zero aimed its rifle at the Purpose, which crossed its arms together.
"Stay away, tell everyone to stay away from me," Quatre said.
"QUATRE!"
Gekido turned towards the empty space. Two OZ machines were flying towards their position. He narrowed his eyes at the Mercurious and Vayaete, two machines with pilots destined to use Gundams.
"Quatre what are you doing?" Trowa asked over the radio.
"Stay away Trowa, tell everyone to stay away from me, don't stop me from doing this. Space has gone insane, we fought for them but they gave up their freedom to OZ and the Earth Alliance," Quatre explained.
"The Earth Alliance is going to be kept in check for now, Sensou is on the job," Gekido said.
"Listen to him Quatre, there's no reason to keep on fighting!"
"I'm telling you, NOT TO GET ANY CLOSER!" Quatre yelled.
Wing Zero swung its arm around and fired its buster rifle. Trowa widened his eyes as the beam slammed into the Vayaete.
"He's losing himself to the system," Gekido snarled.
His head twitched as he heard the digital language of the Purpose.
"We need to stop the system, how do we do that?" he asked.
He and the Purpose remained silent as they looked towards the Vayaete. By an astonishing stroke of luck it hadn't blown up. It was in a mess with its legs and arm blown off but Trowa was still alive. Trowa moved a piece of the cockpit out of his line of sight and stared at Wing Zero.
"Quatre," he said.
"He's gone insane," Heero said, targeting Wing Zero.
Gekido grit his teeth together as Heero and Quatre matched one another blow for blow. The Mercurious fired its beam pistol and Wing Zero shot back with its shoulder vulcans. Bullets broke the pistol apart and Heero threw it aside, activating the sabre on his shield. Likewise Quatre drew his own sabre from Wing Zero's shoulder. The green beams crackled to life and the machines stared one another down, with Gekido and the colony stuck in the middle.
"Trowa, are you okay?" Gekido asked.
"Quatre, what happened?"
He sighed at the regret in Trowa's voice. Clearly they had been great friends once. Images of his friends flashed before his eyes, Kira, Cagalli, Brian, Victor and Canard. Heero released his shield defensors, linking them together with the electric field. Quatre shot them with his Vulcans and avoiding the path of the linked beams. Heero was trying to cut Zero down with the defensors or at least distract Quatre enough to get in close. The red mobile suit slammed its sabre against Quatre's shield. He struck back, swinging his sabre in a wide arc. Heero leant back and countered, thrusting his sabre again and again. Wing Zero dodged each attack and locked its sabre with Mercurious's.
"I need to reach him," Trowa muttered.
"Hey, what are you intending to do?" Gekido asked the Gundam pilot.
"He needs to wake up, before he does something he can never take back," Trowa said.
Gekido flew in Trowa's way, keeping his shield raised as Trowa armed the Vayaete's beam cannon.
"You go up against him like that and you'll get yourself killed," Gekido said.
"Then I die, so long as Quatre goes back to being that nice guy I knew before," Trowa spat back.
"Then let me fight on your behalf, let me save Quatre, let me do what I originally came here to do."
"Why are you even involved, you don't have any obligation to be here. This was our fight, our battle against OZ was our fight, we had fought to establish some kind of stability within the colonies and we had achieved it. True it made our lives as Gundam pilots unnecessary, but we had achieved what we fought for, that compromise killed Quatre's family," Trowa explained.
"I heard about it, his dad took a stand right…mine did too and he got killed for it, I cant see whether his sacrifice was worth it but what I can see is this…something bigger than the colony conflict is coming and we all need to be ready to fight it," Gekido narrowed his eye as he spoke, remembering the conflict at the moon and the pirates at the factory.
"Who needs to be ready?" Trowa asked.
"We Gundam pilots, because we're the only ones who can," Gekido said.
Wing Zero and the Vayaete slammed together, their blades releasing sparks across the battlefield. Quatre fired a low level blast at Heero, whom blocked it with his defensors. He then ignited his sabre and swung it at Wing Zero. Quatre flew back, blocking Heero's second and third strike. The Vayaete slammed its heel into Wing Zero's face, knocking it back slightly. Gekido looked at the fight, widening his eye slightly. Heero managed to get a hit in, a clear sign that the Zero system couldn't predict him.
"Let me save Quatre, then you can join up with the other two Gundam pilots and fight the people who really need to be fought, as members of Sensou," Gekido squeezed his hand into a fist and then turned to Wing Zero. "All right, lets do this Purpose!"
The Purpose's eyes pulsed before it flew towards the battling suits.
General Legacy sat with his arms crossed together, sitting on what seemed like a throne. His personal shuttle the 'Blazer' was a primary stealth fighter, a repurposed Chibe class vessel retrofitted with more advanced weapons, shielding and a mirage colloid system declared illegal under the new treaty. The masked man looked down at the people whom he had allowed to step onto his shuttle, the people he was not happy with. Quinze was a founder of the White Fang movement within the colonies. But the small minority required a source of funding and a leader. Quince looked to Legacy as such a leader, but Legacy had no interest in freedom for the colonies, that was just a means to an end. He agreed to produce the upgraded Virgo mobile dolls but nothing much else.
"I see your attempt to indoctrinate the Gundam pilots have gone unsuccessful," the general said.
"Your visits have only strengthened their resolve, they have forgotten the point of the original Meteor plan, they and the Gundam designers must die as examples. I've had our men their cut the air supply, they'll probably all be dead by the time anyone reaches them," Quinze explained.
Legacy let out a growl as he lifted a fist to his chin.
"You fool, I told you not to move against the Gundam pilots and especially not to threaten the scientists, you've made them desperate, they'll send a distress signal and the Sensou ships in that area will respond," he stated, rising from his chair.
"I needed to get rid of any obstacle in our way sir, especially the Gundam pilots utilising the Zero, if that machine destroys the colony…"
"It will have been part of the plan, the disaster would have drawn Sensou away from our facility on the moon, even if it had failed then the faction would have been so busy chasing after a ghost that they never would have found the facility until the scientist's work on the Gundams was complete," Legacy explained.
"The Gundams, the scientists…they're building Gundams beneath our noses?" Quinze asked.
"Beneath your nose Quinze, this is all part of my plan to get a head start into deep space. I triggered these disasters with the specific goal of goading Gekido Kuzunagi into hunting for me and for Sensou to complete its deep space survey ship on the schedule my plans have dictated…your incompetence is jeopardising that plan, if you act outside of my orders again then you will suffer the consequences," Legacy stomped his foot onto the ground, reiterating his point that he was the one in charge.
"How dare you threaten me," Quinze snarled.
"Call it that if you will, I prefer to think of it as a promise, remember Quinze your role can be filled by another," Legacy said before he walked into the shadows.
Quinze felt his hands shake. The truth was that he was desperate to avenge the assassination of Heero Yuy. If that meant going against the peace the colonies had finally gained then he would do so, anything to make the Earth pay and to free its people from the grip of gravity.
Duo Maxwell kept on having to check to see if Wufei was alive. The martial artist had become aware of the life support systems shutting down long before Duo had. He had gone into a controlled state, coordinating his breathing in a way that ensured he wouldn't waste any. Quite the opposite of what Duo had done. The brown haired teen activated the projection of their new machines.
"Hey Wufei, my new Gundam looks badass doesn't it?" he asked the silent one.
The young man smirked and thought of the events that had led him to that cell. He was born in the L2 colony cluster, just a child of a foster system that had no support from the Earth Alliance. Corporations were more interested in the money that could be made from colonies through trade and mining operations. Childcare and hospitals was something that fell through the cracks. As a child, Duo never knew his parents and he didn't even have a name. To survive he worked as part of a gang, just a few children like him whom stole to survive. The oldest of the children and the young man who became like a brother to Duo was named Solo. Confident and calm, Solo always knew how to cheer his brothers up. One day however Solo developed a fever from a cut he got on a job. To anyone on Earth or in a colony sponsored by a nation it wouldn't have been an issue. Corporate run colonies however suffered and Solo later died from the fever.
'If Solo's with me, we'll be Duo,' he smiled, he was never alone so long as he had the memory of his friends.
He'd seen a lot of death so early in his life. It embittered him to religion, he believed in a god, the god of death, the Shinigami. That god later claimed the family Duo had found at the Maxwell church, or rather the Earth Alliance did. During an Alliance occupation, rebels hid away in the Maxwell church. Duo had been away, stealing a mobile armour as part of an initiation into the rebels. The Earth Alliance attacked the church, killing the rebels and Father Maxwell. The head nun Helen stayed alive just lone enough to die in Duo's arms. He later came under the care of Professor G and the man gave him Deathscythe to fight the alliance.
Having gained the power of a Shinigami, Duo fought against the Alliance and even ZAFT during the Bloody Valentine war but the primary target was always OZ. But as the Earth Alliance began gaining more ground and Gekido Jaeger became more active in his fight against the corruption on both sides, the Gundam pilots went into a state of hiatus, one that lasted through the final battle at Jachin Due. Temporarily joining Sensou, the pilots fought against the Romefellar foundation until it went into hiding.
As opposed to joining Sensou, the pilots continued their battle against the remnants of Romefellar foundation and the aggressive factions within the colonies that goaded them into fighting. Wufei delibaretely got himself captured by the rebels knowing that it would lead him to the Gundam designers, whom would upgrade Shenlong.
In his peaceful, resting state Wufei recalled his own childhood and the tragedy that pushed him to fight. Born into the Long clan, which had been exiled by the Chinese government to the L5 colony, Wufei grew up being taught of his warrior lineage, how to fight and the discipline and honour then went with being a warrior. But Wufei at first didn't have an interest in fighting; he was a good fighter but preferred the tranquillity a book could offer. Per his family tradition he was put into an arranged marriage with a girl called Meiran. A fighter herself, Meiran and Wufei at first didn't get along. She lived by her emotions and her fighting talent. But over time a respect and love grew between them, common of arranged marriages where the couple complemented one another. Oz and the Romefellar Foundation eventually attacked the L5 cluster. Meiran fought in the unfinished Shenlong Gundam but was ultimately killed in battle. Wufei lost himself to his anger and his wife's death awakened his fighting spirit. He took the completed version of Shenlong and went to Earth to fight the Romefellar foundation.
But the Romefellar foundation was tenacious, as were the people within the colonies consumed by their hatred. The Romefellar remnants, the White Fang and the Perfect Peace People were all groups like Blue Cosmos that had been manipulated by the Uragiri organisation and its new leader General Legacy. He was a true master of warfare, a manipulator and a fighter capable of taking down any opponent who approached him. The masked man was also the personification of evil, at least in Wufei's eyes.
'I will become evil too if it means stopping him,' Wufei thought.
"I'll kill you," Heero said as he and Quatre continued to fight.
It was laughable really, he had made that declaration to Relena Peacecraft, but that girl was too important to Sensou to kill. The boy named Heero Yuy had spent the majority of his life as a weapon by others. Probably the only person to have any emotional investment in him was his guardian Odin Lowe. As Heero clashed sabres with Zero he recalled what Odin had told him.
'The only way to live is by ones emotions,' those were words he lived by, at least as far as the mission briefing.
"Space has gone crazy, that's why I'm going to use this Gundam to destroy this crazy universe!" Quatre said.
Gekido narrowed his eyes at Wing Zero, Quatre sounded a little too much like Rau Le Creuscet for his liking.
"If the whole world has gone crazy, then I'll believe in myself and keep on fighting," Heero said.
Even on the battlefield he was still somewhat guided by his emotions. Under the tutelage of Odin Lowe, Heero learnt many things about fighting and living by your emotions. Odin taught him how to shoot a gun, how to enjoy life after a mission. Acting as his son and Alibi, the boy helped Odin on missions as a freelance agent. On one mission however Odin was wounded. But his last words to Heero concerned his philosophy, to live by his emotions and that one foolish person was enough to change the world.
"What the colonies need, IS A WAR!" Quatre yelled.
Heero grit his teeth together as Quatre split his rifle apart. He fired one beam, hitting Heero's shield. But the second beam flew towards the colony.
"YOU FOOL!"
Gekidou-Uverworld
The Purpose suddenly threw itself into the beam. Gekido yelled as the Purpose's arc shield shined. The Purpose's armour creaked and its eyes glowed brighter. As if the body of the machine was struggling to stop the beam the Purpose shook, crossing its arms together. Gekido pushed the Gundam forward, putting the Purpose's hands into the beam. The arc system activated, causing the Purpose and its armour to shine so bright that it blinded Quatre and Trowa. Heero however kept on watching, listening to Gekido's yells over the radio. He was the embodiment of Odin's philosophy, a foolish man who lived by his emotions and inspired the founders of Sensou, sparking a change that was slowly sweeping across the Earth sphere.
"You want to fire another shot like that Quatre? Wake the hell up you bleeding hearted softie," Gekido snarled as he and Purpose flew towards Zero.
Quatre drew his beam sabre and braced himself as the Purpose slammed into his machine. The Purpose pulled its fist back before swinging it into Zero's shield. The glow of the arc system faded and Gekido tightened his grip on his controls. He pushed the Purpose forward, blocking Quatre's sabre strike. Quatre then triggered the crusher on his shield, but the Purpose pulled its head back and dodged the extendable part of the shield. Gekido gripped Quatre's shield, attempting to pull it from his grip. Zero fired its shoulder mounted gatling guns, hitting the shroud armour.
"Thank you Mukured," Gekido muttered.
"That's funny," Quatre grit his teeth together as he pulled his sabre back. "I'm crying but I'm not sad at all," he swung his sabre downwards.
Gekido grabbed Quatre's arm, stopping the sabre midway.
"You are sad Quatre, you're sad that you're fighting your friends, you're sad that you've lost your family, well you aren't the only one who has suffered Quatre…you need to rise above it, without the Zero system," Gekido explained.
"WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT IT!" Quatre yelled.
"I understand machines and I understand grief, I understand pilots moaning and groaning about their own problems, I've even done it myself…Romefellar may be responsible for your family's death but you're the one pointing a gun at the colonies," Gekido moved his fingers into the palm of his hand, forming a fist. "SO WAKE UP!"
The Purpose threw its fist toward, slamming it into Wing Zero's head. Gekido froze as he felt his mind link with the machine.
End OST
Binary code flashed before his eye, forging statistics and predictions. Combat records, potential targets for terrorist cells and even the odds of Mendel being repurposed and used for experimentation on Coordinators again. Gekido gripped his head tightly as simulations ran through his mind. Those simulations showed potential battles between the colonies and the Earth Alliance and even another conflict. He even saw a sight he wouldn't have imagined until then, Junius Seven being deliberately blown out of orbit, Orb the centre of conflict again.
"So this is what you're going through," Gekido said.
"Yes, Zero can see where this conflict will take us, if I don't destroy the colonies now and send everyone back to Earth…"
"Then there will still be war," Gekido snarled, interrupting Quatre's statement.
Heero lowered his sabre and opted to watch the lifeless Gundams. He could hear Gekido growling over the radio as he tried to shut down the Zero system.
"Damn it, Quatre, you need to shut down that machine, that's the only way the Zero system will stop. Its built directly into the cockpit, you can only shut it down by turning the whole machine off," Gekido explained.
Quatre screamed as he aimed the buster rifle at Gekido.
"DAMNT IT LISTEN TO ME QUATRE!" the pilot yelled.
Wing Zero's armour creaked as the glow in the Purpose's armour faded.
"You don't have to do this Quatre, there's still time to fight the incoming wars, join Sensou and help them fight!" Gekido said.
"Where is it going to get us, what's the point of it all?" Quatre asked.
"We can only mitigate the damage and stop those who have pushed for those wars, it requires level headed leaders to keep the peace and a military to keep those leaders in line," Gekido explained.
"So you suggest we play bully?"
"I suggest you get the hell out of that machine AND FIND YOUR OWN WAY!" Gekido yelled, grabbing the barrel of the buster rifle. "If killing one of us is going to snap you out of this, then kill me, because at least then you wont have lost any of your friends!"
Quatre grit his teeth together as his finger lingered over the trigger. Zero told him that he had to kill Gekido if his plan was to succeed. He thought of everything that had led him to the Sandrock and eventually to Wing Zero itself. Born Quatre Raberba Winner, the only son of Zayeed Winner, Quatre grew up with the belief that he was a coordinator, born through artificial means just like his twenty-nine sisters. He believed that he was an artificial person that his father could easily replace. For years Quatre grew up with that belief, until the rebel Maganac Corp commandeered the MO-3 colony intent on freeing the workers from the strict policies that banned them from seeing their families on Earth. Allowing himself to be captured, Quatre was eventually allowed to talk to his father. But as opposed to expressing the Corps demands, Quatre instead encouraged Zayeed to abandon him, saying that he would rather die than be an artificial person created out of convenience for the family. Not too impressed with Quatre's whining, the Corps leader Rashid slapped him and told him to have pride in himself.
"You're so much like him," Quatre whispered to Gekido.
It was Rashid and Instructor H whom eventually convinced Quatre to live a life worth being proud of. When Quatre returned to the colonies after the negotiations, he agreed to become a Gundam pilot and joined the Maganacs to fight the EA. Mr Winner however was a pacifist and when Quatre returned to his colony to find that it had been armed, he was shocked to learn of his father's vocal opposition of the project. Zayeed however was voted out of his office. Refusing to allow weapons to be designed on his satellite, Zayeed separated it from the colony and willingly gave his life when the weapons of the colony fired on him. Consumed by grief, Quatre searched for a means to change the colonies. A man in a mask gave the means to him.
"QUATRE!" Gekido yelled.
Quatre widened his eyes as Gekido flew towards him. The Purpose punched Zero again. Gekido yelled as blood leaked from his nose, pushing his Cyber Psyche abilities to their absolute limit. The cockpits of the Purpose and Wing Zero opened and Gekido flew at Quatre.
"LIVE A LIFE WORTH BEING PROUD OF!" Gekido roared as he slammed his fist into Quatre's gut. "FIND YOUW OWN WAY!" his voice echoed in Quatre's ears as he flung him out of the machine.
'Live a life worth being proud of, how can I do that?' Quatre wondered as he drifted through space.
He felt his back hit something, the Vayaete. Trowa touched Quatre's shoulder and smiled.
"Quatre," he said.
Gekido fell back into the Purpose's cockpit. As soon as the hatch shut he pulled off his helmet and wiped the blood with his glove.
"There was a flaw, a bug in the system's program, who the hell gave you Zero Quatre?" Gekido asked over the radio.
"A man, in a mask," Quatre said.
"Damn it, him again!" Gekido growled.
"Incoming heat signatures, they don't match OZ frequencies," Heero said.
Gekido sighed as he gripped the Purpose's controls and turned. He counted seventeen mobile suits; all were models he had never seen before. Armoured white with red eyes, less artistic or militaristic than the other suits Gekido had seen before. He established his communication link with Mukured.
"Old man is Treize still at the factory?" he asked.
"He and his forces have left, Rody is on his way with a shuttle, it seems like Treize has deliberately left you all to your own devices. That and they're aiding Sensou forces in attacking a White Fang base on the moon," Mukured explained.
"Do you know whose part of the forces?" Gekido asked.
"No idea, only that they're using a Gundam," the engineer said.
"Fine, listen I'm sending you some pictures of modified mobile suits do you know what they are?"
Mukured widened his eyes slightly as he looked at the photos.
"I think those are Mocks, practice mobile suits created by PPSE, the ones whom sponsored the build colony," he explained.
"Looks like they've been modified slightly, heat axes, beam pistols, missile launchers, shouldn't be a problem," Gekido smirked.
"But they outnumber you," Trowa said.
"Heero you take care of these two, I'll deal with the forces," the Purpose ignited its beam sabres before flying towards the Mocks.
Treize stood on top of his shuttle, the Tallgeese's main cannon resting like a sword on the suit's hands and like a general he had forces at his beck and call. Sensou could only send one ship, so Chairwoman Flay Alster again asked for Treize's help. The main pilot of the Sensou Gundam was apparently the equivalent of Flay's brother in law, even though she and her boyfriend weren't actually married.
"Canard Pars, Hyperion Gundam launching," the black haired pilot said as he flew out of the Agamemnon class vessel.
"The brother of Kira Yamato and Cagalli Yula Athha, the failure turned success and the best friend of Gekido Jaeger. I wonder, what would you think if you found out that he was alive?" Treize muttered.
The Tallgeese raised its hand, signalling the Leos to aid the Sensou forces in their attack. Canard flew with three Union Flags behind him.
"All right people you know the plan, cover ECOAS as they infiltrate the base," he said before firing his shoulder cannons at the Taurus units.
As the Sensou/Treize faction and White Fang forces fought, a small shuttle began making its way towards moon base. Inside the shuttle were some of the best soldiers Sensou had. Special forces Commander Daguza Mackle put on his balaclava and the helmet of his normal suit. He then loaded his rifle and carried out an ammo check on his fellow soldiers. They were all ready to infiltrate the base. Colonel Une sat in the cockpit of her mobile suit, the Capricorn. The green machine was the third unit produced after the Mercurious and Vaeyate. Armed only with heat rods it was the personification of Treize's ideal combat scenario. Une slashed at the Taurus and dodged their beams. Leos fired their rifles at the machines, only for the Taurus's to easily dodge them.
"These bastards are tough, but I didn't survive Jachin Due to die here," Canard snarled before throwing his rifle aside and drawing his beam daggers.
He slashed one Taurus across the waist, and then stabbed another in the head. The Hyperion again fired its shoulder cannons, hitting a third Taurus. Une extended her heat rods, piercing the cockpits of two Taurus's.
"We'll secure a path for the shuttle," the pilot of a Leo said as he and his squad flew directly towards the base.
The Leos landed, shooting the blue armoured mobile dolls the White Fang had left behind. One of the Leos drew its beam sabre and slashed through the mobile suits in its way. Wires came out of its fingers, hacking the door open.
"Path secure, beginning landing," the ECOAS shuttle pilot said.
The Leos drew its beam pistol and shot two mobile dolls in the head.
"Go, set the Gundam pilots free, it is what his Excellency wants," the Leo pilot said.
Canard took two shots to the back and turned to the approaching reinforcements.
"TAKE THIS!" he yelled, firing his shoulder cannons.
Two shots suddenly ripped into the Taurus's, but they didn't come from the Hyperion. Treize had launched his attack, darting between the Taurus's and firing his cannon. Each shot perfectly hit its mark, blowing the suits up. He then drew his beam sabre and cut one Taurus in half, then stabbed a second in the chest before shooting down a third. Canard looked at the man's suit in awe at how flawlessly he moved with the Tallgeese.
"His Excellency is no simple commander," Une said, sensing Canard's shock.
"Flay implied as much," Canard muttered. "But I'm not going TO BE OUTSHONE!"
"This is getting out of hand, what idiot authorised the air supply to shut down?" Instructor H wondered as the base shook.
"We weren't even able to complete our work on the Gundams, they're nowhere near ready," Doktor S sighed.
"They're at least capable of fighting one more battle," Master O said.
"People who want to die hurry up and die, you're wasting air," Professor G muttered.
"No one likes an obstinate old man!" Doctor J laughed.
"The Deathscythe and Altron only lack one thing, the pilots to wield them," Professor G said.
"Indeed, hopefully those Sensou jar heads would have bought oxygen with them," J sighed.
Daguza and his squad shot their way to the control room, their rifles blaring as they ran. White Fang rebels were stubbornly holding onto the control room, running through the activation sequences of their newest machines. Within the confines of the base, the Leos continued mowing down their mobile doll copycats. Yellow lights suddenly began to activate within the base and the Leos cautiously turned to the new machines.
"Virgo's," one of the pilots gasped before a beam ripped through his suit.
Daguza gunned down the control room guards and rushed towards the computer.
"The scientists are in cell GW-25 go and secure them," he said.
"What about the Gundam pilots?" Daguza's second in command Conroy asked.
"They're in cell GW-49 on the other side of the complex," Daguza focused on his radio as screams echoed through the channels.
The Virgos had moved above ground and began firing at the Oz shuttles. Canard activated his umbrella shield, gritting his teeth together as the beams struck the Hyperion.
"Sneaky bastards, they made themselves Mobile Dolls," he growled.
Meanwhile, Gekido resumed his battle with the Mocks. Missiles and beams slammed into his armour, breaking off the Purpose's shroud. He fired his pistols, hitting two Mocks in their chests. The Purpose then swung its sabres forwards, cutting at least four other suits down before taking a hit to the back. A Mock swung its heat axe down, only for Gekido to pull the sabre out of his shield and stab the Mock in the chest. He flew back and launched his buster shield, piercing through a Mock's chest before hitting a second one in the chest.
"Gekido," Roly said over the radio.
"ROLY STAY BACK!" Gekido yelled.
But the shuttle was already too close. The Mocks turned towards Roly and began firing at his shuttle. He flew between the beams, but missiles locked onto his position. Roly yelled, as the missiles got closer.
Gundam Wing OST-The Wings of a boy who killed adolescence
Suddenly, a flurry of bullets flew into the missiles, blowing them up before they could hit Roly's shuttle. Roly felt the ship shake and looked towards where the shots had come from. Gekido too looked and saw the Wing Zero flying towards the battle.
"Quatre don't tell me you go back in that suit, even with its program altered to its original state there's no telling what effect the system would have on you," Gekido explained as he slashed two Mocks apart.
"Its Heero," Trowa said.
Gekido widened his eyes as Wing Zero drew its beam sabre and cut two Mocks apart. Heero sat inside the cockpit, reading the data that Zero fed him.
"The system was altered by Uragiri remnants, Sensou is seeking out these remnants. Joining Sensou is the best step to take in searching for these remnants, mission acknowledged," Heero's voice was mere emotionless.
Gekido smirked, figuring that Zero was simply waiting for the right pilot to come along, just like the Purpose had.
"Reinforcements approaching," Roly said.
The Purpose and Wing Zero turned, seeing the approaching Mocks. Heero nodded to Gekido and they both raised their rifles. The barrel of Gekido's cannon expanded and static energy sparked inside of it. Heero ran the targeting retina over his eye, gripping his rifle with both hands. Gekido then bought out his sniping camera, locking onto the Mock squadron.
"Target locked," Heero said.
"Target in sight, give them hell," Gekido snarled.
"Roger that," Heero said before pulling the trigger.
Twin yellow beams flew out of the weapons of the Gundams, merging together as they ripped through space. The massive beam tore through the Mocks, consuming them completely.
"ALL RIGHT! WAIT IT GO GEKIDO!" Roly yelled in triumph.
End OST
Canard slashed a Taurus in half and then blocked a Virgo's beam blast. He yelled as a Flag was torn apart by the flurry of beams. His seed shattered as he fired his beam cannons, destroying two Virgos on the surface of the base. Treize took note of Canard's increase in performance and smiled.
"So emotion is the key to unlocking their hidden talents, perhaps that young pilot was right, the best way to live is by ones emotions," the colonel mused.
"I can't shut down the mobile dolls Canard," Daguza said.
He removed his helmet, having turned the air support systems back on. Conroy was watching the door, shooting any rebels that refused to surrender.
"Then do what you can to thin their numbers, reprogram the base defences or something like that," Canard grunted as he blocked two shots.
Daguza looked at the cameras showing the two Gundam pilots, brushing his chin with his finger. He then curiously regarded the other cameras, they were on some kind of loop.
"Someone has a secret they don't want us finding out, Delta squadron how are the scientists?" he asked.
"Commander, this is Doctor J, you need to release the Gundam pilots right away," the one armed man said.
Daguza again looked at the looped cameras and smirked. He pushed the button controlling the lock for every cell in the facility. Duo and Wufei watched as their cell doors opened and smirked.
"Your Excellency, there are too many," Une said as she cut a Taurus apart.
Treize shot down two enemies and blocked a shot with his shield. He and Canard went back to back and fired their cannons at the approaching Taurus's.
"Your Excellency, something else is launching from the base," Une pointed towards the base.
The Sensou forces widened their eyes as two machines emerged from the base. Wufei and Duo sat inside the cockpits of their upgraded Gundams.
Gundam Wing OST-When the dragon swims, everything ends
"They're only seventy percent complete, our abilities to fight are limited," Duo said.
"It's a miracle we're even alive, we can't be choosy," Wufei muttered.
"Should we escape?"
"After we pay them back," Wufei smirked.
The Virgos turned to the Deathscythe Hell and Altron Gundams. They fired their beam cannons, hitting the front of the Deathscythe's new shroud. One of the Virgos hit the launch unit, seemingly blowing the Gundams up. Deathscythe emerged from the fires, opening its shroud. It ignited its twin beam scythe and Duo yelled as he split one Virgo in half. Oil spread across the Gundam's body giving it a much more demonic appearance. Altron had also survived the explosion, equipped only with twin dragon fangs, it was no less terrifying than Deathscythe. Wufei extended his fangs, crushing the heads of the Virgos either side of him. The two Virgos blew up, consuming the field in fire. Deathscythe swung its scythe around, sweeping the fires around it. The rocket on the end of the scythe increased its speed, allowing Duo to cut cleanly through three Virgo dolls.
"Incredible," Daguza gasped.
"Yep, we built those machines you know," Professor G smirked proudly.

"Hyperion, you've reached your limit, those two machines are proof that I need an upgrade," Canard muttered.
The two Gundams stood side by side, looking up at the Sensou forces as they began to land. Duo and Wufei nodded to one another, they had a lot of things to tell their new bosses.
Both Wing Zero and the Purpose lowered their weapons and looked at one another. Gekido narrowed his eyes slightly at Heero.
"So you're going to join Sensou?" he asked.
"That's right, but Gekido Jaeger is dead, he wouldn't have survived what happened at Jachin Due," Heero said.
"Lets keep it that way, at least for now, Roly pick Quatre and Trowa up, take them to wherever they want to go," Gekido said.
"Should I pick up the Vayaete and the Mercurious?" Roly asked.
"That's your prerogative not mine," Gekido huffed.
"Keep living by your emotions Gekido, just leave them out of the battle sometime," Heero said before turning Wing Zero into its bird mode.
Two Mix-Just Communication
A few minutes passed and Gekido floated into the cockpit of Roly's shuttle. He had left his suit in the Purpose, which had been placed beside Mercurious and the Vayaete. Roly bought up the main screen, showing Mukured and Lalapaly.
"Mum, dad," Roly smiled.
"Be careful out there son, Gekido I just called to say that Treize's attack on the White Fang base was successful, they freed the prisoners but they didn't get any new Intel on that masked man, save for the fact that he's called Legacy," Mukured explained.
"Duo and Wufei are free?" Trowa asked as he and Quatre floated into the room.
Gekido looked at the two pilots and noted that Trowa wasn't in uniform anymore. He had changed into a pair of brown slacks and a black top. Quatre also wore a white shirt with a blue waistcoat.
"You wont be breaking down anytime soon will you?" Gekido asked.
"No, thanks for believing in me and I'm sorry about all the trouble I caused," Quatre lowered his head.
"Sorry doesn't make everything go away, you need to work for it," Gekido said, thinking of Brian and how he met his end. "And it wasn't me who believed in you, it was him," he gestured to Trowa before turning to the main monitor.
"I may have been wrong when I said that Lady Eternity is the only one who can fix the Purpose," Mukured said.
"The build colony," Gekido huffed.
"That's right, there are some of the most gifted mechanics and mobile suit designers in the universe there…but what if Sensou is there?" Roly asked.
"Then I'll still remain hidden, besides most of the people there are independent contractors and with enough credits anyone will take a job outside of Sensou or PPSE's gaze. Wake me when we get there," Gekido put his cap over his head as he sat on the co-pilot chair.
"Gekido," Lalapaly said sternly.
Gekido lifted up his cap.
"You take care of my boy," she said.
"Sure thing," he said casually.
"Mum!" Roly groaned.
Gekido smirked before tilting his cap down.
"There is another reason we're going to the build colony isn't there?" Trowa asked.
"Yeah, those mobile suits that attacked us, they're under PPSE's authority. We're going to investigate to see if they have a connection to Uragiri, if they do, then we'll shut them down…permanently," Gekido narrowed his eyes beneath his cap.
Once the Purpose had been fully restored he would then deal with the shadows behind the build colony.
Next Chapter 12: Build fight repeat
(Trailer for the next arc)
(Gundam Build Fighters OST-Quick Attack)
Roly: The build colony, developed in the wake of the success of mobile suits, young and old minds alike are working here to create better machines.
Junko: All for the sake of Sensou, we need the build colony to keep building.
The Wing Gundam Fenice skid across the rocks with its meteor hopper.
Ricardo Fellini: So you're the miracle maker of Jachin? Your suit doesn't look like it's in the best shape!
Woolf: If the build colony falls then Sensou will never get its own army!
The Build Strike Gundam and Purpose slammed their fists together.
Trowa: This mission just got a lot more complicated Gekido.
Gekido: What's so complicated about it.
Quatre: The designer for the mass produced GM's is from Mars…and the commander of the occupation force has it in for him.
Woolf: Still stuck in the past I see…Flit Asano.
The Gundam Age Razor locked blades with the Gundam Brave.
Flit: Sensou is harbouring a war criminal.
Gekido: Don't bull shit me, since when does being born from the same place as your enemy warrant them being a criminal?
The Purpose floated through space with the circuitry of its right eye exposed. A cloak hung from its right shoulder and the machine and its pilot growled as they drew an Anti-ship sword.
?: So this is the prototype for ZAFT's elite machine, I hope you don't mind me burrowing it Tatsuya.
The blonde haired man smiled as the Zaku Amazing drew its heat axes. The Age-Swordia and Purpose swung their swords around, but the Zaku Amazing stopped both blades.
(End OST)
Gekido: You cannot punish these people for things their ancestors did!
The Purpose tilted its head as it looked down at Beargguy-3. The machine bowed before assuming a fighting stance. Purpose's eye suddenly took on an SD form and twitched.
Gekido: I HATE CUTE THINGS!
Hope everyone enjoyed the arc. I recently got into the series Gundam Build Fighters, next arc will involve characters from that universe and will actually tie into the creation of Sensou's GMs. Flit from Gundam Age will also debut as one of the antagonists of the arc, but wait why is Flit fighting Gekido, you'll have to read to find out.
The Debut of Deathscythe Hell and Altron was always something I wanted to put into words (other than epic :) as it was one of my favourite moments of the series. The consequences of Gekido using his abilities to alter the Zero system will be shown next chapter.
