Hi! Have you ever tried working on a story only to be distracted by a new idea? Welcome to another new idea! I was working on Sora's Daybreak when this story Idea popped into my head after a good while of not thinking about it. XD Before reading, you should know I limited myself to a oneshot and tried to tell this story like a storybook. I don't know if it makes sense, well, I'll let you be the judge of that. Enjoy!

Title: Adventures Of The Gummi Blocks

Type: Story - One Shot - Crossover with Adventures Of The Gummi Bears

Summary: To traverse the worlds, one must use the Gummi Ships made of a special material that is durable and strong, able to go the distance and reach the worlds beyond. But how did they come about? Who made them? This is where our tale begins.

Idea: I want to give a backstory to the gummi blocks that create the ships and how the technology inspired the eventual gummi phone.

Sub-Ideas: It all stared with the Gummi Bears of Gummi Glenn...

- This story is more so a telling of history of how the gummi blocks were created by some creative and magical bears.

- The timeline will begin somewhere in the age of Fairytales, so either during or before Chi/Union X days.

- Involvement of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy in this story because they play a role in the Gummi Blocks secrets.

A long long time ago, in the age of Fairy Tales, the worlds were all one. People could go far and travel to many places. Whether in the world they inhabit or the worlds of other planets above, they had the opportunities. They were all together and existing in peace. It was during this age that the Keyblade was created as a way to defend the light from the darkness.

But this isn't where our story takes place, oh no no. Our story begins in the land known as Dunwich and an area in it's kingdom known as Gummi Glenn. In this glenn, creatures known as the Gummi Bears inhabited the land and lived peaceably with the fellow human friends. Their peace was so great that they shared everything with one another. From knowledge, to technology, to cooking, and even to magic, they shared it all and everything.

The Gummi Bears were a unique creature, for they were in turn with the world. By world, specifically, they were in tune with the heart of the world. Whenever there was pain, they would be there to assist and overcome whatever trials were affecting the world. Because of this deep connection with one another, the world would often reveal its secrets to their kind. So in turn, they would share their secrets as well. So all was well with the world's heart.

At least, for a time. As the days pressed on, the Gummi Bears began to see changes in the hearts of the people. At first, it began with small arguments, later spats and falling outs with one another, and escalating further to crime and hurting each other physically to the point of no return. The people selfishly began taking advantage of the Gummis and their kindness, abusing the gifts that were given and using their shared knowledge to wage war against one another. The Gummis, as kind as they were, saw all this and had held a meeting in secret. Reaching out to their many clans scattered across the world, they all agreed to turn away from the humans they once considered friends. The people were outraged as one by one, they disappeared from their world.

It was around this time, a wise Gummi Sage had received warnings from the world' heart that a Great War was coming. One greater than the one that the people of the human towns wanted to start. Its heart cried in agony that the world as they knew it was going to be splintered into many many pieces. So with the warnings of the future received, they alerted their fellow Gummi kind to prepare ways of leaving this Earth and escape to the stars where they could witness the destruction and find fractured pieces of the worlds to settle onto. The heart of the world then gave them a gift, colorful blocks with a Gummi-like feel that easily stick to each other. These blocks were pieces of itself that allowed for them to build crafts and traverse the stars. So, their kind dubbed these blocks Gummi Blocks, for they were as durable and flexible as the Gummis themselves.

As the Gummis prepared their vessels, they asked some to remain. For if the worlds were to ever be restored, they and their descendants would make a beacon to lead them all back. Then they could all come and be one again. Or, if they were to perish out there among the splinted worlds, there would be some remaining to maintain and uphold their traditions and legacies, hoping the people of the new age could one day be trustworthy with their knowledge once more.

When the vessels were all prepared, they ranged from all different shapes and sizes. Their designs were as simple as a spaceship to as creative complex as abstract art. All those who left scattered to the stars, getting away as Gummily far as possible. Then when the war raged, all met its end and the world as they knew it was soon destroyed.

Every part of the world was restored over time, some quicker than others. But all was now scattered as far as the stars once were. Every world was now a star in the sky, no longer were they just individual balls of burning light, the worlds burned brightly among them. Some Gummis were able to escape and witness the shattering of the world into pieces, others were not as fortunate and had to wait to be restored once more. Those that made it scattered to different parts and settled there, watching from afar as civilization was restored. Their lives now were moving at different speeds, some living on the world for no more than a day while others were years older. As for those who remained, once restored, they did their duty and fulfilled the word of the Gummis who left, keeping their traditions and history alive for as long as they could.

Some settlements found their peace with the new worlds, settling in places where their kind was accepted and in some cases, well respected for their ingenuity and wit. Others were not as fortunate. One settlement had found peace strangely in the most barren of lands, a small town rested in this cliff filled place. The people were mystified by the Gummi Bears arrival when they first made themselves known, but soon they lived peaceably with one another. They worked together to build the most beautiful of towns, digging wells that were filled with the most cleanest and mineral enriched waters and using this to create a beautiful town, which came to be known as Radiant Garden. The bears in this world had even shared their secrets to a select few who modified and built upon their technology, creating not only new Gummi Ships, but also other kinds of Gummi technology and weaponry.

Another settlement in particular had found their home in the most ideal of places for their kind. The world in which we know as Disney. In a time when things were still being built up from the ground, they assisted and helped, even helping to establish the foundations for the town and castle to house the cornerstone of light. It was then, they met the two who would eventually rule, King Mickey and Queen Minnie. They had found a safe haven, so in here, they shared their secrets, knowledge, and much more. One in particular piece was the mysteries of the Gummi Blocks. This had intrigued the young Mickey who ended up being filled with the wanderlust that he had as a child. It reminded him of his days as a Musketeer, a daring adventure with the thrills of something new to explore. It also reminded him of stories he heard of travelers long ago who came from a world beyond their own imagination. When the castle was finished and the wing for the Gummi Ships was built, Mickey took a ship with his two best friends aboard [accidentally of course] and they sailed the galaxies in search of new worlds to explore. On this journey, he will meet Master Yensid and train under him to be a great wizard and eventually a Keyblade Wielder. But that's a story for another time.

From then on: Many years did come and go, the Gummis lived their lives. Few were thriving and most were dwindling in keeping up their kind. The few that survive and the few that thrive, who knows where they live now? Do they share their Gummi way with the people they once trusted in early days? Or do they await for the moment they can say, we'll come home and be one again someday?

.

Yeah, it's short, but what did you think? The whole Gummi Block thing needed an explanation to why they were called the way they were, so I thought to give an origin using the Disney Afternoon cartoon with the same spelling, Adventures Of The Gummi Bears. I actually have one more idea I was working on at the same time this one popped up again into my head, but I'll fix it up a bit and save it for a later date.

So that's pretty much it for now, what did you think? If you like this story and want to try your hand at expanding this idea, by all means, go for it. Just let me know, cause I'd like to read your take on this idea. XD

So once again, thanks for reading another fun idea!
