AN: I want to start by addressing a review by RandomKHFan. You were thinking of Auron. The only FFX characters in KH were Tidus and Wakka in KH1, and the Gullwings and Auron were in KH2.
Fair warning, this chapter is going to piss a lot of people off. I just know it will.
TW: Reference to Sexual Assault
Chapter 45
"Lord Seymour has ordered that you four be brought in," the hooded man in the front of the group said, pointing a spear at them. "You'll come quietly or we'll drag you kicking and screaming."
"What does Seymour want with us?" Pyrrha asked.
"He wants you," the man answered.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Jaune asked.
"This little beauty is going to be our vessel of pleasure. She'll be joining the ginger and the hottie with blue hair," Ren tensed up the second the man mentioned a ginger, who they knew must have been Nora. "As for the men, well, Yevon demands a sacrifice in return for His gifts."
"…You have Nora?" Ren asked quietly. His head was lowered and Jaune could see his fists shaking.
"Hm?" the man asked. "Speak up, boy. I can't hear you."
"I asked if you have Nora," Ren repeated, louder this time.
"Yeah, we grabbed her last night," the man said. "Seymour captured your teacher this morning, and we're here to collect the rest of you." Ren said nothing, still standing there, shaking. Jaune was starting to become very worried. "Don't worry about the women. We'll take very good care of them. To serve the Brothers of Yevon is a great honor, and it wouldn't do to mistreat the gifts Yevon has seen fit to provide for us."
"You BASTARD!" Ren yelled, Stormflower appearing from inside his sleeves. He pointed his guns at the man and opened fire, riddling the group's leader with bullets. As the man fell, Jaune and Pyrrha scrambled to draw their own weapons. Ren moved to step forward, but Jecht beat him to it.
The veteran Huntsman form was engulfed in flames, and he charged at the group of men, blowing them all away with a mighty swing of his sword.
"Stupid assholes don't even have Aura," Jecht said, resting his massive sword on his shoulder. "Alright kids, new plan. We find Seymour, make him tell us where Aqua and the kid are, get them back, and we boogie." He pulled out his scroll, and placed a call. "This is Jecht Tidal. I need a Bullhead ready for extraction in Luca. Preferably one with guns, the townspeople are hostile." There was a pause as he listened to person on the other end.
"What do you mean you can't spare any air support?"
…
"There's a what in Vale?!" he yelled. "Fine, we'll hold the line. Just get us some air support when you can."
"What's going on?" Pyrrha asked.
"We're sunk on air support," Jecht said. "Something about a train crashing trough the ground in downtown Vale and letting in a horde of Grimm."
"Are you serious?" Jaune asked.
"Do I look like I'm joking, kid?" Jecht said.
"Can we get back on track?" Ren demanded. "They have Nora and the Professor, and we need to find them."
"GET THE HERETICS!" a voice yelled, and the group saw a mob heading towards them.
"Oh, we don't have time for this," Jaune said, his team readying their weapons.
"No, you don't," Jecht said, stepping in front of them.
"What are you doing?" Pyrrha asked.
"Go," Jecht ordered. "Find Seymour. These losers are all mine."
"Are you sure you'll be fine on your own?" Jaune asked. Jecht responded by engulfing his body in flames and charging at the mob with a gleeful cackle.
"…Well, I guess that answers that question."
"Come on," Ren said. "We have to save Nora!"
"Hyaaaah!" Nora yelled, throwing a robed man over her shoulder in the underground cavern. She and the Professor had left the room they were held prisoner in, and had fought their way through a few cult members stupid enough to try and stop them. "Boy, that lightning you hit me with really hit the spot," Nora said to Professor Branwen, who had just used her weird but still super awesome sword thing to cut down another hooded man.
"I'm glad you feel so energetic," The professor said, tossing Nora a halberd she picked up from one of the priests. "Here."
"Thanks!" Nora said, happily catching it. "Just wait til I get my hammer back. These jerks better not have touched it."
"Last I saw, Ren had it," the professor said, making Nora sigh in relief.
"That's good," she said. "I can trust Renny to take care of her for me. I guess this'll have to do in the meantime." She hefted the halberd a few times, checking its weight. "What do you say we blow this popsicle stand?
"STOP!" a voice yelled, making the two women look. It was a girl with platinum blonde hair, wearing the same outfit as Nora and the Professor, with her hands still shackled together in front of her.
"Sapphire…" Nora growled.
"Pearl's daughter?" Professor Branwen asked.
"Why are you doing this?!" Sapphire asked with tears in her eyes. "What do you possibly hope to gain from doing this?!"
"We're gaining our freedom back," Nora said.
"But why would you want to escape this?! Yevon is wonderful! He keeps the Grimm away!"
"And that makes kidnapping people okay?!" Nora demanded. "That makes sacrificing people okay?! That makes turning people you've never met into sex slaves okay?!"
"Of course it does!" Sapphire yelled.
"Nora, what's this about?" Professor Branwen asked.
"Sapphire says she volunteered to become a slave," Nora said. "She claims it's some kind of honor. Pearl was sacrificed when they took me, and she didn't even bat an eyelid."
"To serve Yevon is an honor! I don't why you would resist it!" Sapphire yelled.
"Look," the Professor said. "I get that you volunteered for this. But we didn't. This is kidnapping. And murder is never okay. We're Huntresses. We exist to stop things like this."
"Then you're just heretics!"
"That's enough, Acolyte Sapphire," a voice Nora knew all too well said. "It's clear that these two are not worthy of Yevon's grace."
Two people walked into the room, and Nora recognized the voice of the one who spoke as Wen. He had black close-cut hair, wore red armor, and carried a katana at his side. His nose was bandaged, and Nora felt some pride at remembering that she had done that to him.
She assumed the other man with him was Kelk, and she was surprised to learn that he was a Faunus, as she saw a lion tail with white hair swaying behind him. He had long white hair done up in braids, and a long beard. He held a spear in his hands.
"Leave these heretics to us," Kelk said. "If they reject Yevon's blessings, then there is no saving them."
"You should probably leave before things get ugly," Wen said, and Sapphire slowly backed away from the confrontation, disappearing around a corner. "So, we'll give you one last chance to surrender," Wen said. "Put down the weapons, we let you live, and you begin your wonderful new lives serving us. Refuse, and, well…" He slowly drew his katana, the blade glistening in the torch light. "We can always replace you. I'd just rather not."
"We'll pass," Nora said, lifting her stolen halberd.
"Suit yourself," Wen said, taking a combat stance. "I still have to pay you back for my nose."
"That was just a start," Nora said. "I'm gonna break your legs next."
"I guess I'll take the other one," the Professor said, getting into her own stance.
"I'll make sure your death is quick," Kelk said, raising his spear in a defensive position.
"Same to you."
"I'd heard there was some sort of commotion," Seymour said, standing in the middle of the street in front of the Mayor's residence, spear in hand. "I take it this means you don't accept Yevon's gifts."
"Where's Nora?!" Ren asked.
"And the Professor?" Jaune added.
"I assure you they are fine," Seymour said. "As we speak, they are undergoing the cleansing to become vessels for the pleasure of our followers. Their bodies will become tools, objects for our Brothers to play with as they see fit."
"Why?!" Jaune yelled.
"Because it helps keep the Grimm away," Seymour said simply. "We have countless volunteers for this job. But Huntresses have a level of stamina that regular Acolytes could not hope to compare to. That is why, Miss Nikos, I would like to offer you the chance to throw down your arms and come into the loving embrace of Yevon. You will be allowed to live, and spend the rest of your days in bliss."
"And what about my friends?" Pyrrha said. "What kind of offer do they get?"
"They will be sacrificed to His glory," Seymour said. "There can be no greater honor. For every vessel of pleasure we receive, we must offer a life in exchange. Miss Valkyrie was chosen last night, and Acolyte Pearl was sacrificed in exchange. A life must be exchanged for Mrs. Branwen, and one for you. Hence, your two teammates."
"Give her back," Ren said.
"Excuse me?"
"I said give her back!" Ren yelled, firing his pistols at Seymour. The man spun his staff in his hands quickly, deflecting all the bullets.
"…Does he speak for all of you?" Seymour asked calmly.
"Yes, he does," Jaune said, and he and Pyrrha raised their weapons.
"Very well, then," Seymour said, planting his staff in the ground and raising one hand. "You have rejected our gifts and chosen oblivion." Seymour's body began to glow. "It is only fair that I provide it to you personally!
"Come, Aeon!"
"I think you'll find that we won't go down so easily," Wen said. "Unlike the Acolytes, us Maesters have our Aura's unlocked."
"I don't really think it's going to matter much," Aqua said. "Nora, how many more charges can you take?"
"I'm good to go," Nora said. "You got more to give me?" Aqua smirked.
"Thundaga!" She shouted, hitting Nora with another massive bolt of lightning.
"What?!" Wen asked. "How are they—?!"
"Their collars are gone!" Kelk yelled in a panic. Nora cackled and swung her halberd, catching both men in her attack. They went flying, breaking through several walls behind them.
"Well, that was easy," Nora said happily. "How'd you do that, anyway?"
"I'll tell you later."
What did we get ourselves into? Jaune thought, seeing the abomination that Seymour had summoned.
It was a giant figure, with bandages around most of its face. What little wasn't wrapped up looked shriveled up, as if it was a mummy. Razor-sharp teeth filled it's mouth, which was letting out ghoulish screams. Only one eye was visible beneath the bandages, glowing a sickly green color. Its arms were held crossed over its chest, and wings sprouted out of its back, chains warping around them, hugging them close to its body.
"What in the world is that?" Pyrrha asked.
"This…" Seymour said. "…Is judgement."
"What do we do, Jaune?" Ren asked.
"I don't know," Jaune said, but noticed the creature's eye begin to glow. "Get down!" he yelled, and the three of them dove to the side to avoid a blast of energy fired out of the monster's eye. Ren decided now was a great time to charge at Seymour, the teen's rage at Nora's kidnapping clouding his judgement.
"Wait, Ren!" Jaune shouted, noticing the monster's eye glow again. "Pyrrha, stop him!"
"On it!" she yelled, and Stormflower was surrounded in a black light, yanking Ren out of the way just in time to avoid another blast. Jaune charged at Seymour, too, taking care to avoid any more blasts. He swung down hard, but Seymour blocked his sword using his staff. Seymour kicked Jaune to side-step Pyrrha's attack. Ren jumped over Jaune to try to strike Seymour from above, but another blast hit the black-haired boy, knocking him away from the fight with a scream of agony.
Jaune looked down at his shield, where his scroll was attached to the inside, and saw that Ren's Aura was completely gone.
"Pyrrha, those blasts can wipe out our Aura!" Jaune warned. "Be careful!"
Seymour swung at her, and she side-stepped, jumping over him to try and get behind the man.
But then, a chain suddenly sprouted up from the ground and wrapped around her, yanking her towards the ground quickly. Seymour swung his staff again when she hit the ground, sending her flying back towards Jaune. Jaune managed to catch her, both of them skidding backwards a little bit.
"Thanks," she said. "Incoming!" They both put their shields up to block another blast from the creature, knocking out a huge chunk of their Auras and separating them.
When the dust cleared, they saw a jagged dagger come sailing through the air, headed straight for Ren's prone form. Jaune's eyes widened. But Pyrrha quickly fired a bullet at it to deflect the knife.
"Pyrrha, wait!" Jaune yelled, noticing that the monster was charging up another blast. Before Pyrrha could get her shield up, she was hit directly by the energy blast. Jaune tried to move to help her, but a chain suddenly appeared and wrapped itself around his leg, preventing him from moving. A red light flickered on Pyrrha's body, proving that her Aura had shattered.
And Seymour was headed straight for her.
"No, wait!" he yelled, but couldn't get free in time.
Seymour jabbed the staff forward.
Pyrrha screamed.
The staff passed through her, the spear head exiting her back covered in blood.
Jaune felt his heart fall.
"Praise be to Yevon," Seymour said. "All who reject His gifts must be punished." Pyrrha looked up at the man in total shock, before she went limp on the staff. Seymour placed his foot on her chest, using it to push her off his weapon. The spear head tore through more of her flesh as it exited, and Pyrrha's body fell to the ground.
"PYRRHA!"
AN: Yes, I'm ending it here for today. I know this just pissed people off, but I felt it was a great spot to end things.
The creature that Seymour summoned is known in FFX as Anima. However, since there's a continent on Remnant called Anima, I had to change it. I am a little upset I had to that, though, as anyone who played FFX would've had a great moment of Seymour shouted "Come, Anima!", but it didn't happen. I'm not sure I described it well enough just how offputting that summon is, so if you haven't seen it, go to YouTube and look up Anima's first summoning.
We'll be wrapping this little mission up nest time, so look forward to that! I'll try not to keep you waiting on that one for too long.
As always, thanks for reading, and I'll see you all next time!
