~~Hello readers, I'm back with a new chapter.
I do not own Yugioh Zexal.
Only my original characters belong to me.~~
It was now late afternoon.
My best friend Yuma and I had just been escorted to the principal's office by the male officer who I met earlier.
The office was a small room which contained a desk, two chairs, and a file cabinet.
Yuma and Astral were also in the room.
The officer glared and forcefully pushed me into a chair in front of the principle's desk.
"You will be respectful to him little girl! There will be dire consequences if you disobey me! Don't move," he demanded in my face.
I jumped and yelped nervously at the sound of his voice echoing through the space.
Yuma stared at me with a horrified expression on his face.
I put up a brave face in order to reassure him.
The principal looked up at him and said sternly. "Please take it easy sir, she'll be fine."
"Whatever," the officer grumbled back.
He looked away and continued to stand close to me.
I felt very uncomfortable with him around.
Yuma stood silently in a corner and watched the scene.
Astral hovered in front of Yuma to protect him.
The principal then began our conversation.
"Good afternoon Sioku," he greeted.
"Good afternoon sir," I simply replied.
Just when I thought that our situation was finally getting better, my older sister Kara entered the room with Lynn following behind her.
I was afraid to speak because of my current situation.
Kara had a disappointed look on her face.
She was not happy to see me at the moment.
"Thank you for coming girls. I'm happy to have you here," said the principal to my sisters.
"Thank you sir," replied Kara.
Lynn remained silent and looked at Yuma.
"Let's get this discussion underway, shall we?" started the principal as he looked at Kara.
Kara nodded her head in response.
She then pointed at me and asked roughly. "Sioku, why are you in here?"
I tried not to flinch at the stern tone in her voice.
"I got accused of hurting Julie," I answered.
The officer smirked at my response.
I paid no attention to him.
"Sioku! Are you serious? What did you do to her"
she interrogated.
Yuma froze in place and stared wide eyed at Kara.
He had never heard Kara raise her voice at me before.
"Stay calm Yuma," urged Astral.
Yuma lowered his head and sighed.
I took a deep breath before I answered Kara's question. "I promise, I didn't hurt Julie at all. She got in the way of my duel with Yuma. Yuma's monster was about to win before Julie grabbed me by the shirt. The monster attacked her instead of me before I was dragged away."
The officer only shook his head.
Kara's expression toward me softened a bit as she said. "I am surprised that Julie would randomly interrupt a duel. She usually avoids them entirely."
I relaxed and breathed a sigh of relief.
Lynn walked over to Kara's side and spoke up. "Principal sir, you have to believe my sister. Sioku would never ever hurt anybody."
I smiled knowing that Lynn still had my back.
Kara gave Lynn a stern look and said. "This situation has nothing to do with you. Go stand next to Yuma."
Lynn wasn't about to give up on me.
"But Kara, you should already know that it was just an accident! Sioku is innocent," Lynn pleaded.
The officer sighed in disgust at Lynn's defense.
Kara impatiently pointed to the corner and warned. "Lynn, don't make me tell you again."
Without a word, Lynn dejectedly returned to her spot next to Yuma.
"Sioku, Why would Julie try to stop your duel with Yuma?" inquired the principal.
"She hates Duel Monsters," I simply answered.
"That is true," added Kara.
"Sioku, where is Yuma?" asked the principal.
I pointed to a corner near the door and answered. "He is standing over there with my younger sister."
The officer furiously slammed his hand down on the desk and hollered with frustration. "Hold it right there! Everything that little girl just told all of you is a lie!"
His anger clearly got the best of him.
Everyone jumped at the officer's rage.
Dark Mist heard the commotion and spoke to me. "Sioku, what's going on? Are you all right?"
"No Dark Mist, I'm being interrogated over the previous incident caused by Julie. That darn officer found me again," I answered telepathically.
My shoulders slumped as I frowned.
I tried not to let my fears get the best of me.
He then turned to Yuma and added with a glare of burning hatred. "That scared little boy over there disappeared before Julie or I could catch him!"
I glared at the officer and shouted bravely. "I'm glad you couldn't put your murderous hands on Yuma! He doesn't deserve to be tortured! I would always protect my best friend from vicious people like you!"
The officer immediately got in my face and screamed. "Well isn't that sweet! Who do you think you're yelling at?"
"You of course," I shot back.
The principal forced himself in between us and interrupted. "That's enough! I will not have any fights in here."
Yuma gasped in terror, silently wondering what the officer would have done to him.
Astral comfortingly hovered against Yuma's left side.
I couldn't help but smile at the blue skinned being.
Dark Mist would have done that same thing to me.
"What are you smiling at?" the officer barked.
"Nothing," I simply answered.
"Settle down right now officer, why are you here anyway? How did you get involved in this situation?" ordered the principal.
A villainous grinn appeared on the officer's face.
"This child's lovely assistant filed a report claiming that she had been viciously attacked," he answered.
"Do you have the report?" asked Kara.
The officer chuckled as he unzipped his bag.
"I have more proof than a simple report," he answered boastfully.
My heart raced with anticipation as I waited.
I didn't know what to expect.
The officer then pulled out a video camera along with a folded piece of paper before he laid them out on the desk.
The principal silently red the contents of Julie's report.
"Sioku, it says here that you and your friend pinned Julie against the wall and commanded his duel monster to attack her," he started.
Yuma immediately shook his head.
He and I both knew that Julie had purposely exaggerated in order to cause this unnecessary mess.
Kara gasped in shock before she said roughly. "Sioku! Did you just lie to the principal?"
I jumped up out of my seat, fuming anger now spreading across my features.
Noticing my fury, Astral quickly floated over to my side.
"Calm down Sioku," he urged.
I didn't have time to focus on his aura.
"No! Yuma and I are not strong enough to do that to her! Julie intimidates both of us very easily," I argued.
The officer glared at me in annoyance and interrupted. "Quit trying to gain sympathy! It won't work!"
I laughed under my breath at that.
It was high time I stopped letting him enjoy his ability to intimidate and control me.
Yuma marched over to us before he hollered boldly. "That report is false! Everything in it is made up!"
Astral stared wide eyed at Yuma in surprise.
He didn't know what to say.
I began to calm down at the sound of Yuma's high pitched voice.
"Thank you Yuma," I whispered.
"Really? How do you know that it's false? You are the one responsible for the attack on Julie!" the officer bellowed in Yuma's face.
Yuma shook his fears away and continued to fight back. "You may not believe me sir, but Julie attacked Sioku first. I was walking up the ramp while it happened. She forcefully slammed Sioku against the classroom wall and pinned her there."
Kara looked at Yuma and said in a stern voice. "Are you sure that you're not just defending Sioku because she is one of your best friends? Don't lie for her!"
Yuma lowered his head and frowned.
I placed my hand on Yuma's shoulder and answered. "Yuma is right, Julie did do that to me."
"Then why did Julie say that you did it to her?" interrupted Kara while pointing at me.
Both the relaxing presence of Astral and Yuma lit a new spark of courage inside me.
All of my fears were non existent.
I felt invincible in that moment.
"Julie is covering up her tracks! She knows how to twist an incident around in her favor! Kara, I have told you that Julie has a manipulative reputation, but you never believed me! You always brushed it off," I countered.
The whole room fell silent for a minute.
Yuma smiled at me in admiration.
Kara and Lynn exchanged a surprised look.
"I still think she's lying," remarked the officer with a scowl toward me.
I turned my head away in response.
Responding to him would have only started a fight.
After we had calmed down a bit, Astral floated between Yuma and me.
"Are you two all right?" he asked softly.
"We're fine Astral," I thought.
The principal took a moment to examine all of the evidence and think about a decision.
Inside the paper's top half was a picture of Julie's exposed bandages around her side.
"This doesn't look serious," said the principal as he carefully studied the image.
The officer only huffed in response.
Yuma gently pulled away from me before he returned to his spot next to my sister.
Astral immediately followed after him.
I glanced behind me at Astral who calmly hovered between Yuma and Lynn.
He looked just as peaceful as Dark Mist.
"What are you looking at little girl?" the officer demanded in my ear.
"Nothing," I simply answered.
Grinning to himself, the officer picked up his video camera and said. "I have one last piece of evidence that will help you make your decision really quick."
I started to tremble in fear.
"This can't be good," I thought.
"What are you about to show us?" asked Kara.
The officer didn't answer her question.
He only grinned even wider at a projector screen on the wall behind the principal's chair.
A bright light flashed on, causing everyone in the room to look up.
The principal spun his chair around to check it out.
"Sioku, what could this man be planning for you?" wondered Astral fearfully.
"I have no idea," I thought.
Once the entire room went quiet, a horrifying video of Julie played on the projector.
Julie was lying still on a hospital bed with many tubes protruding from her body.
There were various machines set up around her.
Hearing the constant beeping noises caused a pit of anxiety to form in my stomach.
Lynn and Yuma stared up at the screen with terrified expressions on their faces.
Astral curiously watched the video and became terror-stricken by the sight before him.
"Why is this horrifying video being presented to Sioku? What does it mean?" he thought.
Kara looked at the officer and then back at me.
Seeing that video immediately sent me into panic mode.
Chills covered my shaking body.
Sensing my despair, Astral hovered close to me in a comforting way.
I felt his calming presence but couldn't react to it.
"Sioku, is this a phobia of yours?" he whispered softly.
"Yes Astral," I thought brokenly.
I covered my face and closed my eyes tightly.
The officer furiously slapped his hand on my shoulder and commanded. "Put your arms down! Don't hide from the pain and suffering that you caused!"
Tears of sadness threatened to sting the corners of my eyes, but I forced them down.
Letting them fall would only attract negative attention.
I slowly lowered my arms to my lap and argued back. "This video is wrong! I would never hurt Julie or anybody else! How in the dueling world did you come up with something horrible like this?"
"Don't argue with me!" the officer screamed.
I jumped and started breathing heavily.
Those tears that I was trying so hard to hold back finally poured out of my eyes like waterfalls.
I just couldn't control them anymore.
"Sioku, are you okay?" asked Yuma.
There was no response from me.
I lowered my head and sobbed uncontrollably.
Lynn and Yuma stared at me with somber expressions.
The officer elbowed me in the side and yelled. "Oh quit your crying! Give it up and admit to what you've done!"
I groaned internally at the stinging pain.
"Calm down Sioku, I'm still here for you. Focus on the sound of my voice," Dark Mist said soothingly.
I smiled down at my pendent and thought. "Thank you Dark Mist, I love you."
Taking a deep breath, I raised my head to face the officer with a serious expression.
"Please listen to me sir, I did not cause Julie to be hospitalized! She probably got really sick! You're using this video to set my expulsion in stone! There is no way Yuma's monster could have injured her that badly," I pleaded desperately.
Yuma smiled and gave a thumbs up.
"That's right Yuma," I replied proudly.
"You're doing very well Sioku. I admire your confident side," said Dark Mist telepathically.
"I get it from you," I thought with a smile.
Dark Mist let out a low chuckle.
Kara looked closely at the projected image of Julie's body and said. "That woman doesn't have a single scratch on her. Her side is also completely healed. Julie looks very sick, not hurt! Sioku wouldn't ever make somebody sick! She loves and cares about people!"
Lynn glared at the officer and added. "I agree, you're trying to get Sioku in big trouble for no good reason!"
"I despise cruel monsters like you! You are one of the worst people I have ever met in my entire life! Sioku is a kind person with a heart of gold! She didn't deserve any of the pain you put her through," continued Yuma.
Astral nodded his head in agreement.
Tears of joy fell from my eyes as I smiled warmly at my sisters and friends.
Fuming with burning hatred, the officer roughly lifted me up under my arms.
I gasped in terror while shivering, not knowing what else he wanted to do to me.
He then squeezed my sides tightly, causing me to struggle in pain under his grip.
"How dare you turn the tables on me! Julie has told me all about how much trouble you are and always will be!" he screamed in my face.
"You two probably set up this whole situation. I'm not stupid," I replied brokenly.
The officer slammed me back into my chair in response.
"Don't you ever touch my sister!" yelled Kara as she rushed toward him, fury now present in her features.
She then restrained his wrists with a set of hand cuffs and added. "You weren't planning to use these things on Sioku if you got your way, were you?"
I grinned at Kara in amusement.
The officer growled in frustration.
"That was inappropriate sir," the principal said sternly.
The principal and Kara dragged the officer out of his office in response.
Without a word, Kara and the principal escorted him toward a small group of security guards.
The guards then led the officer into a police car.
Kara smiled in relief as she watched the car drive away.
~Inside The Office~
Yuma and Lynn rushed to my side, fear mixed with worry present in their features.
Astral hovered behind us.
I silently pulled them into a tight embrace.
They returned the hug while talking to me.
"You're going to be okay Sioku," assured Lynn.
"That man is gone now," added Yuma.
My upper body was still in pain, but I just brushed it off.
Suddenly, the Baria crystal hidden under my sweater began to glow.
My terrified expression was instantly replaced by a look of curiosity mixed with happiness.
"Is Vector coming back?" I thought.
I pulled away from the embrace much to their surprise.
"Wo, what's up with you?" asked Lynn.
"Sioku, what's going on?" continued Yuma.
Before I could answer them, the glowing light grew brighter and swirled around me like a vortex.
My tear filled eyes widened in shock.
I didn't know exactly what was happening.
The bright light formed into an orb of energy.
I was now standing inside of it.
My sisters or Yuma were nowhere to be seen.
However, I was thankful to be away from the officer.
A demonic figure floated toward me from within the orb.
I stood completely still and studied his features.
This guy instantly took my breath away.
My new visitor had shady red skin, large black wings that were covered with red diamonds, and luminous inflamed eyes
He also had a Barian emblem on his chest.
"I've been expecting you Sioku. You have nothing to fear," he said in a deep voice.
I immediately loved the sound of his voice.
The sadness and anger that I felt a few minutes ago was beginning to melt away.
I wiped my eyes before I looked at him.
"Excuse me sir, who are you? How do you know my name?" I replied.
"My name is Don Thousand. Vector told me all about you," he answered.
I froze in realization at the sound of his name.
"Hold on, you're Don Thousand?" I asked in shock.
"Yes," the Barian answered.
My feelings for him started to fade away.
I then gave him a stern look and said roughly. "Why am I in here with you? You're supposed to be my enemy!"
Don Thousand stared at me confused and asked. "Is that so? What have I done to you?"
Memories of Dark Mist and Vector's pleas for help flashed through my mind.
I glared at Don Thousand with intent and answered. "You hurt two of my best friends! They are in pain because of you!"
Don Thousand moved closer to me and said with a pleading look in his eyes. "Wait Sioku, I haven't been around for hundreds of years. My past self was most likely the one who caused your friends to be afraid of me."
I thought about my stubborn violent childhood self.
My expression softened a bit at his words as I replied. "If that's true, who revived you?"
"Vector," he simply answered.
I then gave him a questioning look and asked. "Why did Vector choose to revive you?"
"Vector wanted to give me a chance to make things right with him," he answered sincerely.
An image of Shark flashed through my mind.
My voice came out more gentle toward him as I said. "Don Thousand, I also gave somebody a chance to turn himself around in a good way not too long ago."
Don thousand lowered his head, his face drooping with guilt and sadness.
I couldn't help but feel sympathetic for him.
The compassionate side of me had completely replaced my anger toward him.
Without thinking, I cautiously approached him from the left.
"It's okay Don Thousand, I won't hurt you. I promise," I assured.
We were surrounded by the most peaceful aura that I have ever felt around anyone.
My heart wouldn't allow me to push it away.
This new rush of energy between us made me forget about the principal's office incident.
The pain in my upper body had also faded away.
I was finally free again.
Don Thousand raised his head to look at me and said softly. "Sioku, why are you being nice to me? I don't deserve your kindness at all."
"Everyone deserves a second chance," I replied gently.
His eyes widened in surprise.
I nuzzled against the Barian to reassure him.
My silent reassurance helped him calm down.
I smiled as a curious thought crossed my mind.
"Hey Don Thousand, how did you know that I needed help?" I asked.
"Sioku, you and Vector are linked together by the Baria crystal around your neck. I was in my Barian form when Vector awakened me. He sensed your distress and asked me to save you since my power is greater than his," Don Thousand explained.
My smile of curiosity instantly changed into a look of confusion as I continued. "Hold on, let's get something straight. You're telling me that Vector is not afraid of your Barian form?"
"No Sioku, my human self destroyed the bond between Vector and his family. I also changed the other six Barian emperors into evil people. Vector's father started an unnecessary war between Barian and Astral World. The thought of being at war upset Vector, and he wanted nothing to do with it. His mother also died causing him to be depressed. Vector blamed his mother's death on his own father, and he wanted revenge. Once he was forced to fight, Vector ended up claiming the throan and turned against the other six Barian emperors. Vector lost a survival duel to Nash, and he was killed. He was then reincarnated as a Barian just like myself. We still hear those original voices in our heads," Don Thousand answered.
My face saddened as I stared at Don Thousand.
"You poor Barians," I said softly.
Don Thousand looked at me with a hopeful expression.
"I've never told anybody that story before. You are very special Sioku," he replied sincerely.
I couldn't help but grin at him.
A short period of silence passed between us.
I was happy to have another Barian friend.
"Don Thousand, do you remember a celestial being by the name of Dark Mist?" I asked curiously.
The Barian gasped at that, his eyes widening.
"Yes, I did put a mind control spell on him in the past. Dark Mist was sent as a weapon to permanently demolish Astral World. That is another one of my mistakes," he answered with a somber expression.
My heart shattered as I listened to every one of Don Thousand's painful stories.
I leaned closer and embraced him as best as I could.
Don Thousand remain silent not knowing exactly what was happening to him.
His warmth made me feel as if my dog Pegasus was sitting beside me.
"Don't worry Don Thousand, this is called an affectionate embrace. People do it to comfort another upset person," I assured with a smile.
The Barian nodded and continued staring at me.
He looked relieved to be in my presence.
I relaxed beside him in this moment of peace.
It felt like a dream come true.
Spending time with Don Thousand helped me forget all about the horrifying video of Julie in the hospital.
My fears didn't exist anymore.
"Thank you for saving me Don Thousand. You are a miracle," I whispered passionately.
Being close to Don Thousand made time stand still.
I couldn't have imagined a better place to be right now than by his side.
"Sioku, there is a specific reason why the Barians have been saving you during your time of need. You have a special power inside yourself that hasn't been awakened yet," Don Thousand started.
"I've already heard that from Vector. I still don't understand what this power is yet," I replied casually.
Don Thousand only chuckled at that.
I grinned at the sound of his laugh.
"It's true Sioku, I believe that you can save all three worlds. Your heart is pure," he continued.
I laughed nervously as a slight blush came to my cheeks, causing me to turn away.
I let Don Thousand's voice sink into my mind like a stone as he spoke.
Just like Vector, Don Thousand was able to drown out the officer's annoying voice.
Taking a deep breath, I reached up and gently placed my hand on his forehead.
Don Thousand remained completely still as we stared into each other's eyes.
A strong surge of hyperactive energy flowed through my system, restoring my happiness once again.
My heart raced with joy instead of fear.
This was a dream that I didn't want to wake up from.
I moved closer to him as a serious thought crossed my mind.
"Hey Don Thousand, I cannot tell Dark Mist that you and I are friends. It could jeopardize my friendship with him. Vector should be okay with it since he also knows the good side of you that I love," I said smoothly.
"I understand," he symply replied.
Don Thousand's face drooped in exhaustion.
"I would like to spend more time with you Sioku, but I'm very tired. I must release you now," he said softly.
I sighed sadly and embraced him again.
"I'll miss you so much Don Thousand," I whispered.
"It's not good bye forever Sioku," he assured.
"You're right," I replied with a smile.
I slowly released Don Thousand and reluctantly backed away from him.
"We'll meet again Sioku," said Don Thousand before he opened the orb to release me.
"Please take care of yourself," I whispered back.
My smile faded as Don Thousand disappeared.
I opened my eyes to find myself sitting on the same chair in Lynn and Yuma's comforting embrace.
"Hello you two," I greeted.
"Hi Sioku, are you feeling all right?" asked Yuma while staring at my tired face.
"I'm fine," I simply replied.
"What the heck happened to you?" continued Lynn.
An image of Don Thousand flashed through my mind.
I couldn't help but smile dreamily.
His voice echoed in my head making me perk up.
"I must have accidentally dozed off in your embrace," I answered before I laughed nervously.
Yuma grinned and patted my shoulder.
"It's okay Sioku, I fall asleep in class all the time," he said casually.
"That's not something to be proud of," replied Lynn.
I giggled as I stood up.
"Sioku, how does your upper body feel?" asked Lynn.
"It feels better," I answered.
Yuma stared out the window and asked curiously. "What are Flip and Shark doing here?"
My ears perked up at the sound of their names.
I ran toward Yuma and said with excitement. "I really hope they come in. I've missed them!"
Lynn stared awkwardly at me and asked. "Hold on Sioku, why would you want to see Shark? Isn't he the school bully?"
"Not anymore," I simply answered.
"Shark turned over a new leaf after he lost his duel with me," added Yuma.
"That's good," Lynn replied.
A long period of silence passed by as we waited.
I slipped into pleasant thoughts about Don Thousand.
The breef period of time I had spent with that miraculous Barian was pure bliss.
His deep voice had ignited a new spark of courage inside me that I can use in the future.
The door suddenly burst open to reveal Shark and Flip looking worried and out of breath.
"What happened to them?" asked Yuma.
"I don't know," I answered.
I was ecstatic to see their faces again.
"We're here Sioku!" they called in unison.
"Did something happen to you boys? Why do you look so worried?" asked Lynn concerned.
"No, Flip and I are okay. Your older sister Kara told us to check on Sioku while she and the principal take care of business," answered Shark.
Lynn smiled at Shark and said warmly. "Thank you for coming to help us out. Sioku needs all the support she could get."
"That ruthless officer traumatized her with a medical video a few minutes ago," added Yuma sadly.
"That's why we're here," replied Shark.
Flip grinned as he threw his arms around me.
I gasped in fear and started to shake.
His tight grip on me triggered a flashback, but I shook my head to push it away.
My uneasiness was clearly noticeable to the others.
Yuma looked at Flip and shouted sternly. "Flip, you need to calm down! You scared her!"
The boy frowned as he gently released me.
"Sorry Sioku, I was just excited to see you again. We have great news for you," he said quietly.
I took a deep breath and smiled at Flip.
"What is it?" I replied.
"You don't have to worry about the officer anymore. He was arrested by a few security guards before Flip and I came in here," answered Shark proudly.
I let out a sigh of relief.
"Hopefully he never comes back," replied Yuma.
I immediately ran toward Shark at full speed and jumped into his arms.
"I missed you so much," I whispered.
Shark pulled me into a warm embrace and replied gently. "I missed you too Sioku, I'm sorry for not coming sooner."
I nuzzled into his chest in response.
Having Shark around was like hugging a big dog.
Shark and I released each other a few minutes later.
I then walked closer to Flip who was blushing and staring nervously at me.
The sight of his bright red face made me laugh out loud.
"That boy totally likes you Sioku," Shark pointed out.
"Shut up," I replied playfully.
"Are you guys okay?" asked Lynn.
"We're fine," answered Flip.
Flip took a deep breath before gently he put his arm around my shoulders.
I couldn't help but start laughing again.
Lynn gave the boy an awkward look and asked. "Flip, what is wrong with you?"
"Yeah, why in the heck do you get so flustered around Sioku?" added Shark.
Flip lowered his head in an attempt to hide it.
"Is it because she is short like you?" Yuma teased.
"Hey, you're short as well Yuma! Stop your teasing this instant," Flip snapped back.
Yuma turned away in response.
Lynn frowned and sighed in annoyance.
I shook my head and decided to change the subject. "Shark, Flip, what brings you two here?"
Shark cleared his throat and answered. "Flip and I have been outside watching everything go down in this room."
"Are you serious? Why?" inquired Lynn.
"We wanted to spy on that no good officer," answered Flip in a confident voice.
I gasped at that and chimed in. "Wait, you guys know him too?"
"Yes, that man is nothing but bad news. He is always looking for somebody to torture," answered Shark.
"That's right," added Flip.
My heart began to race with fear as I said. "I knew there was something awful about him."
Flip pulled me closer to him for support.
I ruffled his hair as thanks.
"How did you know I needed that?" I whispered.
"I can tell when my friends are down," he answered.
"Who else has this man hurt?" asked Yuma sadly.
"Basically every student who he claimed to be a trouble maker," Shark answered with a frown.
"Shark and I are included," Flip added.
"What did he do to you two?" I asked fearfully.
"He has been giving us lunch detention ever since school started," answered Shark.
"We also had to clean the dining hall," added Flip.
My eyes widened in shock as I asked. "Seriously? You two had to clean every afternoon because he doesn't like you?"
"That sounds about right," answered Flip.
I leaned against Flip and sighed.
"He also called Yuma and me trouble makers because we are good friends," I replied sadly.
Yuma nodded his head in agreement.
Shark turned to me and asked with a serious expression. "Sioku, did the officer ever physically hurt you?"
"Not before this new incident, but Julie did. The worst thing he has done was repeatedly blow a whistle in my ears and scream at me," I answered.
"Really Sioku? What did that woman do to you now?" asked Yuma with a terrified expression.
"Julie relentlessly dragged me around after the officer chained me up with heavy shackles," I answered.
Yuma gasped as a thought crossed his mind.
"Sioku, is that what your new friend Vector saved you from?" he asked.
"Yes," I simply answered.
"How did Vector save you?" inquired Lynn.
"It's complicated," I answered while blushing.
Lynn stared awkwardly at me in response.
"Who is Vector?" interrupted Flip.
"Hold on Flip," Shark replied.
"He's the new kid," I answered casually.
A long period of silence passed by in the room.
Shark stared at me with a horrified expression and continued. "When did this happen?"
"Right before PE," I simply answered.
"Those two need to get fired," Lynn blurted out.
I smiled and nodded my head in agreement.
The door opened once again," and Kara walked inside followed by the principal.
I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that she wasn't mad at me anymore.
"Hi Kara," Lynn and I greeted in unison.
"Sioku, Lynn, please come with me. We are free to go home," she replied.
Lynn and I joined our older sister by the door.
"Hello sir," I greeted to the man.
"We apologize for making you kids wait this long," the principal said sincerely.
"No problem," replied Shark.
He pointed to Yuma and Flip who stood near the file cabinet.
"You boys may go home as well. I need to have a conversation with Shark alone," he said.
Yuma and Flip waved before they walked out the door.
"I'll see you guys at school tomorrow," I said happily.
Kara led Lynn and me out the door.
We silently followed her down a sidewalk that led to a small white car parked in the driveway.
I climbed into the passenger seat, and Lynn situated herself in one of the back seats.
My sisters and I remained silent during the ride.
It had been a long day for all three of us.
~Back in The Office~
Shark was seated in a chair in front of the principal's desk.
"Thank you for being here Shark. Let's get down to business," the principal started.
"May I ask what this is for?" asked Shark curiously.
"I need information from you," the principal answered.
The principal opened a drawer in his desk before he pulled out a notebook and a pen.
He looked at Shark after flipping to a blank page and said. "Tell me Shark, did you have a chance to speak with Sioku?"
"Yes sir, she revealed a painful story to me. Julie and the officer did something horrible to her," he answered.
"What happened?" the Principal inquired.
Shark took a deep breath and explained. "Sioku told me that this incident happened right before PE was about to start. Julie and the officer ambushed Sioku behind the gym and yelled at her. The officer chained Sioku up with heavy shackles. Julie relentlessly dragged her around the school. Sioku was saved when a kid named Vector threatened to report those two if they didn't let her go."
The principal wrote down Shark's story as he spoke.
He then put down his pen and replied. "Thanks, did Sioku tell you where Vector is?"
"She said that Vector went home as soon as the school day was over," Shark answered.
"I'll talk to this Vector Kid tomorrow morning. He can tell me what he witnessed," the principal replied.
After closing the notebook and standing up, the principal kindly led Shark out of his office.
The sky was beginning to get dark.
Shark waved to the principal before he walked away.
