Dark Desires Ch. 9
Deacon could smell her as she entered the bedroom, his eyes tracking her every movement, he just laid there as she headed to the bathroom, smirking when he heard the shower going. Rolling onto his back, he stared at the ceiling, while he wanted to go and take a shower with her, but he figured that she needed a little time to herself, between meeting the council, stating their status as mates, being granted a house with a legitimate name, and coming to resolution for Dragonetti, he was sure that she was mentally tired from it all.
Placing his arms behind his head, his brain couldn't help but key into the moment that Alexander spoke to Ruby, and how she handled herself, never wavering but the most impressive thing from that meeting was when she named their house. Vangr, old norse for wolf.
It was a word and a time that he had long forgotten, but his love brought a part of his past to their future, it was something that he would remember until his final death. His body reacting to the sound of the shower shutting off. Turning his head, his eyes and body patiently waiting for her to open the door.
Shutting off the water, Ruby reached for her towel, grateful that she was finally clean. Heading towards the sink, she quickly combed her hair, and brushed her teeth, feeling a bit better now that she was clean.
Keeping the towel wrapped around her body, Ruby walked into the room, her eyes landing on Deacon who was staring at her. Swallowing a bit, she didn't think that she would ever get tired of the way he looked at her life she was the only woman on the planet.
Deacon inhaled deeply, enjoying the way her body smelled, arousal and need. Feeling his fangs, his slowly moved his eyes up her body, "Drop the towel, and come here." His voice tight, he could feel himself struggling with the urge to get off this bed and bend her over and take her.
Not wanting to keep him waiting, Ruby dropped the towel, her eyes never leaving his. Making her way slowly towards the bed, her body tingling with anticipation. Tilting her head, Ruby waited, wondering what came next.
His eyes enjoying every inch of her body, from the firmness of her tits to the curve of her body, every inch of her was perfection, and soon she would join him in eternity. Extending his hand, he pulled her close, lifting her onto his lap.
"My goddess." He moaned, using the tip of his cock to rub against her clit. He wanted to have her ride him. Gripping her hips, he pushed his cock slowly into her body, enjoying how her pussy gripped every inch of him. Groaning out as her body clamped down on him. "FUCK."
Ruby could feel her eyes rolling in the back of her head, reaching down to where his hands were gripping her hips, she slowly lifted herself off the top of him and bringing herself back down. Hissing out as he gripped her tighter, getting more turned on at the prospect of knowing that she was going to sport some bruises on her hips.
Rolling her hips, she moved with him, enjoying when he was thrusting upwards to meet her. Keeping her hands latched to his wrist. "Deacon." Moaning out his name. Leaning forward, licked the side of his cheek, "Baby please." Not really knowing what she was asking for.
Pushing himself deeper into her body, Deacon could feel that he was getting close, wrapping his arm around her neck, holding her in place, using his nail he cut the side of her neck, being mindful of cutting her too deeply.
Lifting his head, Deacon pulled her blood into his mouth, enjoying how it tasted of honey, it was enough to send him into a spiral, using the other hand, he reached between their bodies, letting his knuckle rub against her clit as she rocked herself onto his cock. He could feel the moment her body went into a spiral, moaning as her pussy clamped down on his cock, exquisite torture. Pulling a little more blood into his mouth, he finally lifted his mouth from her neck, he could feel her blood dripping down his chin.
Ruby could feel her body shaking, "FUCK!" gripping his shoulders, as she rode out her orgasm, "I need to feel you cum. Please Deacon." She begged, not giving a shit of how it sounded.
Keeping his hand behind her neck, he used the other to slice his neck, wanting to cum as she had a mouthful of blood, "DRINK RUBY!" he barked, his body humming with the impending orgasm. Pulling her towards him, groaning at the feel of her hot mouth wrapping around his neck.
Ruby pulled his blood into her mouth, every time she tasted him the euphoric moment was fantastic, gripping his shoulders as he thrusted up to meet hers, Ruby squeezed her thighs against his, tightening her inner muscles. Groaning as he dug his nails into her hip and neck.
Deacon knew he was hurting her, but her smell told him all he needed to know, she liked it. Thrusting up into her tight pussy, he felt his cum coat her walls, groaning out her name, he held her to his neck enjoying slowly stroking his cock into her body as she pulled his blood into her body. "Ruby." He moaned out.
Unable to hold herself up, Ruby fell forward on his chest, enjoying how his chest hair tickled her nipples. Taking a few moments to catch her breath, she leaned into his fingers as they traced her spine. "Feels nice."
Smirking at her, he enjoyed the moment after they came, the bliss of just being together, but he could still feel the tension in her body. Worried that he caused her too much pain, "My goddess, what has your mind wandering?" he asked, hoping that she was going to share.
Closing her eyes, Ruby knew that if she didn't talk to him, it would start eating at her, refusing to lift her head off of his chest, letting out a sigh, "Seeing how the sun kills vampires, was disturbing." Smiling as he held her closer. "Promise me Deacon, you'll do everything in your power never to leave this world like that."
Holding her tighter, "I promise my goddess, I will do my best." Deacon wanted to promise her, but in his very long life, he knew promising such a thing was dangerous, but his words were the best he could offer her. Lifting her face, he leaned forward, gently kissing her lips, "I love you my goddess, but it's time for some rest, I have a long night later."
Ruby could only nod, she knew that he wasn't wrong, tonight was going to be hard on them all, and there is chance that someone isn't going to come back. And if she had anything to say about it, she was personally going to burn that farm to the ground.
Blade stared down at his sword, slowly taking the whetstone to the edge, doing what he could to sharpen it. Enjoying the sounds it made as he moved the sword across it. He was almost giddy with the prospect of destroying a vampire house.
Whistler could see Blade preparing for battle, while he was a tad bit worried about him, he knew that he would be fine, probably fair better than the rest. Taking his oil to clean his knee brace, he looked over, "We should get some rest before we head off tonight."
Looking up, he could see the old man taking care of his knee, "I'll be fine, it's you I'm worried about."
Rolling his eyes, "Smartass." Letting out a sigh, "How does it feel to have a truce with the vampire nation?" Wanting to get his thoughts on the matter.
Putting the sword down, almost annoyed with the question, "Isn't that what you wanted? Accountability?"
"I did. But I'm ask you how you feel?" Knowing that expressing emotions wasn't his strong suite.
Hissing a bit, "I feel fine. As long as they hold up their end of the deal, then I guess I'll have more free time on my hands." Standing up, "Lay down old man, we leave before dusk." With that he made a way towards his loft, while he knew he could stay up for a couple of days, but Blade wanted to be mentally and physically prepared for this evening.
Whistler watched as he made his way up, he knew that he was not optimistic about the deal, but it was a start to him living a somewhat normal life, and even perhaps find someone in this life to spend his time with.
Laying down on his cot, he could only hope that his concern for Ruby ended quickly, because as willing as Deacon was to work with him, and even policing the vampires, but if he didn't back off truce or not, he was certain that Frost would put a bullet in his brain.
Ruby stood in the room with Mercury, her eyes watching how she got ready, seeing that she was putting on some leather, and boots. "Do you have something less dominatrix and more military functional?"
Looking over her shoulder as she got her shirt on, "I do?" Tilting her head, "Why?"
Standing straighter, "I'm going with you. The humans that are there are going probably going to be scared, and no offense to you, Quinn, and Blade, you guys aren't exactly cuddly."
Mercury stiffened, "Frost will not like that." Hoping to dissuade her from coming. Not that she would mind, she loved Ruby, and she was the Lady of the House of Vangr, but she was still a human.
Shrugging her shoulders, "Well he already left to meet Von Esper," keeping her eyes locked, she was the Lady of the House, and there was nothing that she read that prohibited her from going. "So, give me something appropriate to wear," seeing Mercury stiffen, "please."
Shaking her head, she couldn't help but be a little proud of her, "Yes ma'am." Moving towards her and Raquels closet, she grabbed her a pair of black cargo pants, and matching tank top. Looking down in the closet, she grabbed the boots that Raquel like to wear. Moving quickly, she found Ruby sitting on the bed, placing everything next to her, smiling as she stood and started getting undressed and re-dressed.
Leaning against her dresser, "And why are you going, really?" Very curious about her motives.
Leaning over to tie the boots up, she knew that Mercury had the right to ask the question, she was her protector from the moment they met, it only seemed fair to answer her question.
"Simple Mercury, this is my life now, sometime soon I'm sure I'll be starting my transition from human to vampire. And as much as it will probably piss of my mate, I'm not going to stay in the tower like some Queen or whatever, I will go out and do what I can to protect not only my community but also ensure that vampires are being held accountable towards their treatment of humans."
Standing straight up, Ruby looked her in the eyes, seeing her apprehension but also her pride. Slipping on a jacket, she touched her shoulder, "I'll do my best not to cause you too much trouble."
Rolling her eyes, wrapping her arm around Ruby's shoulders, "Let's go, and let's be clear, leader of this house or not, you listen to Blade or myself, as much as I've taught you in the last few weeks, you are still far from trained to hold your own against a skilled vampire."
Nodding, "Yeah I know." Mentally making a note to make sure that little problem would be remedied once she was fully transitioned. While she wasn't a fighter naturally, she never wanted to be a weak link.
As they walked into the living area, Ruby could see that Raquel and Quinn were ready to go, but when Blade eyes landed on hers, she could see the tension rising in his face. Holding her hand up to stop him from bitching, "I'm going for the humans, not anything else. So, whatever it is you're going to say please don't."
Blade could feel his fangs, but he didn't have a right to tell her anything. "Don't do anything stupid, or all that work you put into Frost will be undone. Something happens to you; he'll kill anything that moves." Hoping to at least get her to reconsider.
Ruby stared at the man, she knew that he wasn't wrong, she was fairly certain that Deacon's willingness to listen and try to gain control over the wild vampires was for her benefit, but it felt right to go, she needed to go. "I know."
Taking a look around she could see the level of concern on their faces, "Let's go." Punching the code to the elevator, Ruby stepped in, watching as Mercury pulled Raquel close, and Quinn punched in a code to head to the roof.
Blade looked down at the small blonde that was next to him. Worried about her, while it wasn't a vampire strong hold, they were going to be there to protect their livestock.
Deacon looked around the van that they were using to transport Alexander and his elite fighters. "So, are we just going to knock?" he asked, not 100% sure on what the actual plan was.
Nodding, "Essentially, yes." Leaning back, "They will secure the perimeter, while you and I go inside. They will make entry taking out the guards and such, and soon we'll have Dragonetti surrounded."
Leaning back into his seat, surprised, that was what he was going to suggest, "Good to know that you like to plan before going to war." His mind unable to think about if the rolls were reversed how Dragonetti would handle it, certain that he would just go in guns blazing.
"Casualties of war regardless of planning is par for course, but I like to reduce the number of my people that may not come home." Smirking at his face, "Don't look surprised Frost, you are now in charge of your own house, would you send them to their deaths if it was preventable?"
Before he may have, but now, with Ruby by his side, he wanted not only a strong house, but a house that his people felt loyalty to, while fear was great motivator, but if that was how they viewed him, they wouldn't do anything to help him in times of need. "I guess not."
"We are about a half mile out sir." Said the driver.
"Excellent," turning his eyes to his fighters, "Go, secure the perimeter, no prisoners, unless you find children, but intel does not have any in the home." Waving his hand, they excited the van, running into the night.
Looking back at Frost, "Let's go. We have a meeting to get to." Smirking at the prospect of a little bloodshed.
Deacon smirked, he's been waiting almost 600 years to kill Dragonetti, hating the man the moment he laid eyes on him, using his status as a pureblood to act superior but falling short almost every single time. Turning his eyes towards the front, he could see the gates of his home, his body was tingling with anticipation.
Gitano watched as Alexander walked into his home, Frost in tow, almost insulted by the sight. He didn't know how Frost was able to connect with people that were his betters, the man who turned Frost was older than he, and yet turned him like a favorite son, and now Alexander, walking into his home like they were old friends.
Extending his hands to the head of the council, "I'm honored to find you in my home." His eyes not even bothering to look at Frost.
Resisting the urge to kill him on the spot, Frost took a second to look around, only seeing a few vampires of the house, and just 3 guards. The arrogance of this man was astounding.
Alexander took his hand, "I'm sure." Like Frost he took the time to look around, wanting to get an idea of what they were up against, almost disappointed that there wasn't going to be much of a fight. "Is this everyone under your banner?" he asked, wanting to get clear picture.
Indicating for him to sit, "Yes, I have 2 out at my other property in Pennsylvania but this is all." Introducing him to the best vampire clan, they were true purebloods.
Alexander rolled his eyes, this was his house, the great house of Dragonetti, a total of 6 purebloods, and 3 bitten for security. The man really was insane. "Wonderful," his eyes turning to the top of the balcony, seeing his team indicate that the house was cleared, and that they were done. So much for a battle. "You and your clan are to be terminated," nodding to the soldiers, enjoying watching them cut down the security guards.
Watching as the soldiers took out his security like it was nothing, he found Alexander smiling at him. Scarred or the first time in over a thousand years, "Why, what is this?" he asked, his voice panicking, he could hear the others in his home crying at the prospect of their final deaths.
Alexander nodded to Frost, he was the reason that they knew what was going on.
Frost walked over to Gitano, "Your blood farm in Pennsylvania," smirking at his eyes, almost wondering if they were going to pop out of his head. "Don't worry, another team is there now, handling all of it." Lightly touching his cheek, "and Claire, well, her house bent the knee to Alexander the moment he stepped in the night before, turns out, only a few of her most trusted knew about your plans, the others were left blind."
Alexander watched as Frost circled him, he could appreciate the flair for the drama. Seeing the others move, shooting them in the heart, enjoying watching them turn to ash. Putting his gun back in this pocket, and took a seat in the now empty chairs, his eyes watching.
Gitano froze, he knew that he was going to die, but he needed to make sure that no matter what he did Frost would never have his own house, it was only for Purebloods, he would always be just beneath the council. "And like a good dog, you found a new master." His eyes turning to his, "No matter what you do, you'll always be bitten, you'll never have your own house."
Tilting his head back, Frost couldn't contain his laugh, "You're right, I'll never be pure, and neither will my mate, but our children, well they would be, and by such, I have been granted my own house, and banner." Enjoying the look of disgust on his face.
"Impossible." His eyes darting to Alexander, "You and the council are allowing the filth to breed now?" He hissed out. How was this fair, a bitten finding a mate? While the purebloods can breed with another, a mate made the prospect of offspring easier.
Alexander smirked, "Fun fact, your house was built from two bitten becoming mates," leaning back, almost sad that this was ending so soon. "I'd show you this, but you're not going to live long enough to see it."
Gitano gasped, "No, it's not possible." As he eyed both Frost and Alexander, he knew that they probably weren't lying to him.
Deacon stared at the man, enjoying the look of defeat, it was time to end this shit, and get to the farm, make sure it was all cleaned up.
Moving quickly, his fist punched through the mans chest, enjoying the feel of his heart in his hands, locking eyes with the man, "I told you a long time ago, if you didn't change with the times, you'd find yourself extinct." Without another word, he pulled out the heart, seeing Gitano's eyes bulge from the shock of it.
For a moment, Gitano blinked, looking at his heart in the hands of Frost, closing his eyes, he felt the burning take over his body.
Alexander stood next to Frost, enjoying seeing Dragonetti become nothing more than a pile of ash. Looking down at the pile, "I'm almost disappointed, I was hoping for a bit more of a challenge, but I guess that's all Dragonetti was, talk." Letting out a sigh, "I guess we should secure the farm."
Looking down at the heart in his hands, Deacon tossed it into the fire, wanting to make sure that no part of him was able to regenerate. Turning his attention towards Alexander, he could only nod, "What is to be done with this home?" he asked him.
Shrugging, "I don't know, why do you want it?" Knowing that it would within Frosts rights to claim the house.
Grabbing a smaller log that was in the fire, he tossed it towards the drapes, "No, I'll build my own compound with Ruby." Turning on his heels, he walked out of the now slowly burning house, heading towards the sound of the chopper, it was time to put this to an end and begin his life and hers together.
Ruby felt tense as the chopper landed in the field, looking over at everyone, including the pilot they were all geared and ready for battle. Looking down at herself, she realized while she looked the part, she really didn't have a weapon, turning her eyes towards Blade, she found him handing her a gun. "Thank you." Surprised that he would offer her one.
Keeping his eyes on hers, "Do you know how to use one of those?"
Rolling her eyes, "I do. My father was an avid hunter, and he wanted a boy." Frowning at the memory of her parents fighting over what a young lady should be doing or not doing.
Jumping out of the chopper, Blade turned and lifted her out, "stay safe." With that he headed towards the farm ready to liberate the humans that were there.
Mercury looked at the rest of them, "Let's go. We do this quick and clean." Keeping her eyes on Ruby, "You stay back on the edge of the farm, once we secure the area, we'll bring you in for the humans."
Ruby was about to argue, but she knew that it was probably best, as much as she wanted to rush in guns blazing, she was a liability. "Fine."
Quinn carefully picked her up, and ran with her, smirking as she squealed, either in delight or she was startled, either way it amused him. Keeping his eyes on alert, making sure that she was safe. Gently placing her down, "Keep your eyes open Ruby." With that he turned and started to make his way into the compound.
Blade moved quickly, taking his sword and removing the heads of the vampire guards, watching how they quickly turned into ash. Coming up on the next group, he smirked as he watched the skinny blonde jump on the back of a guard, ripping his head off his body.
They ran through the compound, working as well-oiled unit, each one decimating the guards over the farm.
Blade watched as they fell one by one, but it was the running one that caught his attention. Tracking his movements, he was heading in the direction of where Ruby was. Looking towards the others, "I got the rabbit." With that Blade took off.
Ruby was pacing back and forth, doing her best to keep her ears open, but they were obviously not using their guns, or she was going deaf. Leaning against the post, she kept her eyes on the fence line, wanting to make sure no one came up behind her.
She could see movement to her left, turning slightly to see if it was someone from her crew or not, but as she turned to track the movement she found a hand around her throat, and her back against a tree.
Focusing her eyes, she found a very pissed off vampire holding her. Unable to breath, Ruby just hung there, her eyes never leaving his. While she was scared she really didn't want to panic, in her time with vampires, she found that they enjoyed the fear in the blood.
Ivan stared at the little blonde, furious that his master's home was violated. Gripping her neck tighter, "Who are you, why are you here?" he asked, enjoying how she just dangled there.
Keeping her eyes locked on his, "Ruby. Alexander sent us to stop the farm." She choked out.
Hissing, "AND OF DRAGONETTI?" he screamed.
Smirking at him, "Alexander and Deacon are taking care of it." Enjoying the look of frustration on his face. "Best chance you have now is to run." Hoping that he would drop her.
Pulling her close to his body, "And they sent you a human?" He growled out.
Before Ruby could speak, Blade jumped the fence, which caused her capture to pull her to his chest, holding her while he was facing blade.
Ivan hissed, "Daywalker. So, you're the council's new lap dog?"
Seeing the precarious situation that Ruby was in, "Drop the girl." Doing his best to keep his frustrations hidden.
Squeezing tighter, "This little bitch." Lifting her higher, keeping his nose in her neck, slowly licking her. Enjoying how she tasted.
Pointing his gun at the man, "I don't care about her," hoping that he wouldn't have to risk her getting hurt, but he could see that the man was getting twitchy. "You know I'll drop you the moment you hurt her." Keeping the gun trained on him, waiting for an opportunity to put a bullet into his head.
Ivan knew he wasn't making it out of this life, reaching behind him, he pulled out his knife driving it through her stomach, tossing her towards the Daywalker, "Watch your pet die. Daywalker."
For t
Ruby felt the pain radiate through her body, locking eyes with Blade, she could feel herself being thrown at him.
Blade watched as she was tossed towards him, without missing a beat he put a bullet into the man's, dropping the gun, he was able to catch her before she hit the ground. Cradling her as landed in his arms. "Damn it Ruby, I said don't get hurt." He growled out.
Coughing up blood, Ruby looked into his weirdly colored brown eyes, "Sorry. I screwed up." Hoping to lighten the mood. "How pissed is Deacon going to be?"
Looking down at her, he could hear her heart started to slow, "Ruby, you're going to die." For the first time in a long time Blade was scared.
Lifting her hand to his face, "It's OK. Tell Deacon I love him. Please." Coughing up more blood, "This hurts." Feeling a bit colder now.
Whistler was in his ear the entire time, hearing it all, "Eric, you are the only hope that girl has. If she dies after you bite her, she'll turn."
Closing his eyes, "Are you serious?" Almost confused at what he was suggesting.
"Forget what Frost will do if she dies, you'd hate yourself if you didn't. So do it." Whistler knew this was the only way, "Do what you have to."
Looking down as she stared up with her blue eyes, "Ruby, you're going to die. I'll give you a choice, I can start your transition, or you can die, your choice." He wasn't even sure what he was hoping for.
Ruby started to shake, "Please."
Closing his eyes, "OK." Doing what he could steal himself, opening his eyes, he looked down, seeing nothing but trust in her eyes, "This will hurt." Leaning down, he tilted her neck, "I'm sorry." Sinking his teeth into her neck as gently as he could.
Gasping as his teeth sank into her neck, Ruby held onto him, her eyes closing, grateful that he was being as gentle about this as he could be, her last thought before darkness started to take her, was hoping that this would work, and she would be able to join Deacon in this life as a vampire.
