A/N: Heyaa! This is a follow-up one-shot to my fic 'Simple and Clean', so you might want to read that first. This is the letter that Syaoran found. Thankyou Eruanne of the Woodland Realm for the inspiration for the fic! This one's for you!
The Letter

Amber eyes stared down at the writing on the white sheet of paper, that was held with trembling fingers. The brisk writing held his worst nightmare, and the broken pieces of his heart followed the piece of paper as it fluttered to the soft mattress.
Syaoran,
I am terribly sorry for not being brave enough to do this in person, but I'm really not sure in which other way to do this as I would not be able to comfort you, but marely hurt you more by walking away. Some part of me does care about you enough not to put you through that.
So, in this letter, I have to say that my feelings for you were only those of freindship and I hope that I have not pulled you along too much that you cannot see my reasoning. You were my anchor when getting me back onto my feet, and when I delved into a second relationship after Her, I turned to you once again so that I would know that I would not be hurt again.
But in doing so, I believe I have hurt you.
And for that, I can only apologise that I really did not take the extent of our relationship and what my muddled mind thought of as 'love', into account. I have disappointed myself, and I havae done wrong to you.
No, I cannot meet your family, and I cannot continue a life with you, as it would be a false and sourly wrong one. You - and even I - deserve better than that.
I hope that one day you can forgive my wrong doing. I don't love you, but you are a good friend to me, so this will be my final goodbye to you.
We will not meet again.
