In this case, I can picture android 17 self destructing to save Goku and Vegeta, leaving Frieza to drop out during or after the explosion. I let android 17 and Frieza be but with Jiren left, I need to dispose of a certian warrior despite how the anime wants it.

"What an amazing fight!" says Zeno.
"It was really amazing!" says future Zeno.
audience...
"What about Vegeta!?" wonders Gohan.
"Vegeta had to of sacrificed himself to defeat Toppo." says Piccolo.
"But...Vegeta..." says Krillin in disbelief.
They soon see that he is still alive and well inside the arena, although he has reverted to his base form.
stage...
"I'm not dead yet." says Vegeta catching his breath.
audience...
"He's alright!" says Krillin happily.
"Thank goodness!" says Gohan happily.
"He detonated that much energy and survived." says Roshi.
"Super saiyan and beyond. Compared to last time he used the attack and died, he's gotten unbelievably stronger." says Piccolo.
"So that's why his body was able to stand that attack." says Gohan.
"But now Vegeta has used up all of his power. He can barely stand as it is." says Beerus.
stage...
Android 17 emerges from some rubble.
audience...
"17!" says android 18 relieved.
"Thank goodness he survived! It looks like he took some damage though." says Gohan.
"We don't know how many members or who will be dropped out next so dont show relief until we know who the final fighter will be." says Beerus.
"Are you suspecting that my brother should have dropped out by now?" wonders android 18 annoyed.
"No, we don't know who will be sitting with us now that Jiren has everyone to himself." says Beerus.
"But there is one opponent left. Our odds mean victory." says Shin.
"I never thought it would come down to Jiren alone." says Khai.
"We're counting on you Jiren!" says Dyspo helping Toppo up.
stage...
"How pathetic. I expected more from you, the next god of destruction by the looks of things." says Jiren unamused.
"Hey! How can you treat a teammate like that!?" wonders Goku.
Jiren replied by kicking Goku into a small boulder causing him to revert back to base before looking at where Vegeta stood.
"You gained this much power without casting anything aside? Congratulations on defeating Toppo. Well done. Now feast your eyes on this." says Jiren.
Jiren begins powering up to unleash his hidden power. He is surrounded in an intense, fiery energy.
Zenos...
"Woah! Jiren's on fire!" says future Zeno amazed.
"He's on fire!" says Zeno.
stage...
"What unbelievable energy." says Goku.
"What kind of monster is he?" wonders android 17.
"He was hiding such power?" wonders Goku shielding his eyes.
audience...
"The force of his energy is reaching all the way here." says Krillin leaning back.
"What an unbelievable power Jiren has!" says Roshi.
"Can Goku and the others fight against that!?" wonders Tien.
stage...
"Justice wannabes should just keep out of all out warlike events. Justice this...Justice that...thank god Toppo stopped talking about it though he got his ass handed to him the moment he realized it." wonders Vegeta walking toward the others.
"Vegeta." says Goku.
"A late mistake to have. If we beat you, we win. Our last opponent the alien looking self centered creep. " says Vegeta.
"Hmmph, don't make me laugh. You can't beat me with those wounds." says Jiren.
"Cocky bastard!" says Vegeta charging at Jiren.
"That idiot!" says android 17.
Forcing Goku, transforming back to ssj blue and android 17 to join in the attack, the 3-against-1 fight though, Jiren still proves too much for them to handle. As Jiren closes in to kick Vegeta, android 17 knocks him out of the way, taking the brunt of the attack himself.
"Damn android! I didn't need his help! You're mine to destroy Jiren!" says Vegeta.
More fighting proves equally ineffective as Jiren blocks Vegeta's punch.
"A good punch. I can see why you were able to defeat Toppo. But you won't beat me with that." says Jiren.
Jiren retaliates with one of his own fiery punches, then follows up by erasing Goku's Kamehameha with a mere uppercut.
audience...
"He erased Goku's kamehameha!" says Krillin.
"What incredible force in that uppercut." says Roshi.
"That Jiren is unbelievable!" says Piccolo.
Toppo had an intense gaze staring at Jiren who seemed to be overpowering universe 7.
stage...
Jiren is caught off-guard by android 17, who hits him with a point-blank range from behind. Android 17 is caught up in the explosion from his own attack and injured, but he still manages to wound Jiren in the back.
"I guess getting caught in my own explosion was a bit to reckless." says android 17 sitting up.
Angered, Jiren counterattacks but android 17 retreats and joins back up with Goku.
"Its like you fake the opponent out when it comes to moments where you seem to be dropped out yet stay safe." says Goku.
"Its everyone for themselves now yet working as a team." says android 17.
"Thanks to your attack, I know how to defeat Jiren. Looks like getting hit by an attack that big, unguarded, can hurt him." says Goku.
"I see. If we make an opening with coordinated attacks and hit him with an even bigger attack..." says android 17.
"Yeah, we may have enough time to win this." says Goku.
"I'll do anything it takes to win." says Vegeta powering up to ssj blue evolved*what I see as royal blue*
"First me and Vegeta'll get Jiren's attention. In that moment..." says Goku.
"Got it." says android 17.
"Finished with your scheming?" wonders Jiren powering up.
"Don't worry. We're going to pay you back for what you've done to us." says Vegeta.
"Now it's our turn." says Goku.
As Goku and Vegeta furiously tag-team Jiren, android 17 fires off a blast, but Jiren rushes at android 17, who creates a series of barriers to block him, but he smashes through them all and attacks. While android 17 continues his beam attack, Goku and Vegeta fire their own beams at Jiren from different directions, but Jiren blocks all three beams with his fiery aura, knocking the trio to the ground, fircing Goku and Vegeta to revert back to base.
"How could he beat our coordinated attack?" wonders Goku.
"Times up." says Jiren.
Frieza suddenly reappears and attacks Jiren.
"I won't let you lot beat me this much ad get away with it! Forget the damn rules! You deserve to be killed by me!" says Frieza transforming into his golden form.
Jiren wastes no time knocking Frieza a good distance away.
stage...
Jiren is blasted by android 17, who's back on his feet.
"What can you do on your own?" wonders Jiren.
"I haven't given up just yet. Universe 7 will survive." says android 17.
"!7..." says Goku.
audience..
"And then what? You'll survive and then what? What is your wish from the super dragon balls?" wonders Vermouth.
stage...
"I'm going to obtain the super dragon balls and take a trip with my family on a cruiser." says android 17.
audience...
"Are you joking!?" wonders Vermouth unamused.
stage..
"Im serious. What about you Jiren? Surely, nothing aside from being the strongest interests you." says android 17.
"Even I have a wish I want granted." says Jiren.
audience...
"Jiren's wish?" wonders Khai.
"I knew it. Jiren...you still.." says Vermouth gloomily.
"Vermouth?" wonders Khai looking at Vermouth.
"Let me tell you all the reason for why Jiren is obsessed with getting stronger." says Vermouth.
~flashback~
Jiren was happily running down a path toward his village. He rushed to his hut and gasped to see his parents on the floor unmoving with a figure beside them with a devious purple aura around them.
'Jiren's parents were killed by an evil doer.' says Vermouth.
Soon, Jiren was being carried by an old man who looked to be a warrior of some kind.
'He was rescued by the man who would soon become his teacher.' says Vermouth.
~reality~
"This feels like a rip off of Goku's childhood since i was his master when he was about 12 years old." says Roshi skeptically.
"Let Vermouth speak!" says Khai annoyed.
~flashback~
Jiren was training hard from a young age at the dojo where the man had taken him.
'Jiren strove to master further strength and the right path with his teacher. 1...2...3...gained new comrades.' says Vermouth.
Jiren fought off the evil doer with all his kin from the dojo gaining a bowl cut hairstyle. Even his teacher was by their side, hyping everyone up for a victory or so they thought.
'And then the evil doer returned. He fought alongside his comrades thinking they could win. But the enemy was to strong. One by one, Jiren's comrades were slain. Even his teacher, the strongest of everyone was no match and died in the fight.' says Vermouth.
Jiren looked to be attempting to get even stronger yet it seemed more like none of the remaining warriors accepted Jiren as things were.
'Jiren tried to rise again but none of the remaining warriors wanted any part in how Jiren saw strength.' says Vermouth.
Jiren was left alone to figure out the path to becoming the strongest in the universe.
'The weak could do nothing but obey the strong. Jiren was alone.' says Vermouth.
~reality~
"So its the same yet opposite of Goku's childhood." says Krillin.
"The universe 11 god is speaking!" says Khai clenching his fist.
"Abandoned by those he trusted. Jiren's grief was immeasurable. That's when he realized trust was worthless. And he also realized that strength is justice. Strength is absolute. Winning would bring companions. Winning would bring him everything. Emotions mean nothing. I was drawn by Jiren's thirst for strength and solitude." says Vermouth.
stage...
"I see. So your wish is...and here I thought you were a killing machine. It's very human of you to think noone will enjoy your companionship." says android 17.
"Thats enough out of you Vermouth." says Jiren.
"Trust huh? So you're just using those guys to get your old comrades back around you. Is that really how you want things?" says android 17.
audience...
"Silence! What do you know about Jiren!?" wonders Vermouth furiously standing up.
stage...
"You live, obsessed with the past." says android 17.
"Strength is absolute. Strength forgives all. Lament you own weaknesses." says Jiren.
Jiren launches a giant blast towards Team Universe 7. Android 17 does his best to hold back the blast and protect the immobilized Goku and Vegeta, but he is clearly not strong enough.
"You...what are you doing?" wonders Vegeta.
"Atleast save yourself." says Goku.
"Hey Goku, Vegeta...I gave up on the cruiser. You better thank me! I hope you got enough rest. Sacrificing myself for others, I kinda like how human that is." says android 17.
Placing a pair of barriers around Goku and Vegeta and forgetting about Frieza, android 17 creates a large explosion that rocks the arena. Frieza felt himself shaking from the trembles and slipped off what was left of where he landed.
Zenos...
"Did Goku and Vegeta get hit?" wonders future Zeno.
"Did they lose?" wonders Zeno.
grand priest...
"Frieza of universe 7 have dropped out." says grand priest.
audience...
"I COULD'VE STAYED IN THE ARENA 17! I NEED THAT RESSURECTION!" yells Frieza furiously.
"Someone from your group is bound to lose at some point." says Beerus frowning.
"Goku needs a loss more than we do!" says Frieza glaring at Beerus.
"Calm down. You've gotten this far like I have. Everything will go in the others' favor." says Gohan looking at Frieza.
stage...
"You were saved. Be glad he sacrificed himself to save your weak bodies." says Jiren.
"17...he did it so we can heal even just for a bit." thinks Goku falling onto another part of the stage.
"That bastard, he intended this from the start." says Vegeta landing next to Goku.
"Thanks 17." says Goku trying to catch his breath.
audience...
"17 sacrificed himself." says android 18 worriedly.
"In that instance, to save Goku and Vegeta not only did heput up a barrier over Goku and Vegeta, but he self destructed to erase Jiren's attack." says elder kai stunned.
"That male android didnt appear in the seats where we are?" says Frieza looking at the empty spaces.
grand priest...
"We can assume that android 17 destroyed himself with a self destruct attack. Universe 11's Jiren receives no penalties." says grand priest.
stage...
"You still stand?" wonders Jiren watching Vegeta lift himself up into a standing position.
"Jiren, I'm more than enough to knock you off. Don't underestimate me!" says Vegeta clenching his arm.
