I guess this answers some of your questions about me continuing this eh? Cause Lord above, I've been getting notifications everyday on this (Not that I wasn't going to continue it already of course.) Sincerely, I cannot thank you folks enough for the lovely reviews and PMs I've gotten over this! Including the notice from other talented Writers! As a side note, I just want to say that there will be no pairings in this story whatsoever. I think it doesn't work for the characters that are supposed to be children's entertainers and it detracts from the main heart of what the franchise is about. I do hope you all continue to enjoy and to one of my reviewers. If you could link me the reddit post that got you to find my story that would be swell. Meanwhile, let's get back into it!

Enjoy Chapter Two Welcome To The Cult
My Racingstar Chapter Two
It was almost Twelve AM in the mega mall of Freddy Fazbear's PizzaPlex and two out of the four main mascots were patrolling around the main Atrium, Show Stage area. They had been alerted by Vanessa that a child had snuck in over hours and now they were searching for him… with very minute luck… and a particular animatronic wasn't too pleased with it.
"Mannn, this is a pain. Why did it have to be now? I was just getting to the good part shredding my riffs. I was setting records! Even the hologram me gets more time to rock out than I do!" Chica groaned.
Chica was a white-pink chicken with an orange beak, blue eyes, purple eyelids, and orange feet. She had a few stray feathers that stuck out from the top of her head with a pink hair bow, visible pink metal segments below her left eye, and a pink marking around her right eye, along with having long eyelashes.
Like the other Glamrock animatronics, she was dressed in 80s era clothing. She had a pink chest piece, a narrow metallic waist, small pink shoulder guards above her segmented arms, which end in green gloves, and green and pink sports tape wrapped around her heels, resembling leg warmers, along with green triangular earrings.
"Quit complainin' Chi. The sooner we find the kid, the sooner we can go back and chill." Monty replied back close by, across a few party tables, while searching his own area.
The alligator animatronic had a more punk rock design than his fellow Glamrocks. He sported pointy teeth, black claws, a red mohawk, green scale-textured pants, spots on his arms and cheeks and a light-yellow colour for the belly, lower jaw and some segments for the tail. His eyelids, his feet and hands excluding the fingers parts on them were also a tinted purple colour. He wore spiked bracelets, purple shoulder pauldrons but perhaps his most disguisable feature was his star shaped shades he wore almost all the time.
Come to think of it. Both of them were still pretty close to one another. "Oh, yeah… Don't you think we should spread out more?" Montgomery asked.
"Don't ask me. Vanessa was vague enough on the details as is. All she said was patrol around here and near our respective areas and we're already pretty close." Chica shrugged.
"I guess. Did V give any other details on it?"
Chica shook her head "Nope. Just what was already said. Urghhhh, this is so boring."
"Don't go lookin' in those trash bins now." Monty snickered.
"Oh, don't start. I've already had my fill today. Even if they do look pretty appealing. Where'd Roxy get to anyway? She's supposed to be helping us out here. Maybe we'd actually find the little tyke, if it was the three of us. She's got that nose of hers and she's fast. Not to mention those keen eyes of hers! She'd be the expert on this!" Chica almost squawked.
"Maybe V gave her special orders 'cuz of all that?"
"Who knows." Chica shrugged. "But you know, Vanessa's really been acting strange lately."
"She's been pretty alright to me."
"Hm… I could just be glitching but she's seemed more sad recently. I hope something bad hasn't happened… Maybe we should cheer her up when Freddy's fixed! Give her some gifts or something! That should cheer her up! That sound good?"
"Only if you're sure but if she is down in the dumps, that's just sad. She's a nice person, she doesn't deserve to be depressed. Do you think Freddy's doin' alright too?" Monty asked while searching one of the photo booths, looking back at Chica who was checking under the tables.
"I hope he is. He's had it rough these past few weeks. Being the lead singer does have its drawbacks. I felt terrible when I saw him fall onstage and was stretchered out. The little kids were so shocked and sad. I even saw some crying… That's not right at all." She shook her head.
"Hey, it'll be okay. V, said he was awake in his room. He just needs to charge up some and he'll be right as rain!" The Glamrock gator stated positively which got Chica to smile back at him. "When we find the kid, we should pay Freddy a visit along with Roxy. V shouldn't mind either cause she'll be so happy that we caught the little troublemaker!"
Chica nodded back to him. "That would be nice." Her expression then slowly turned to one of concern. "But Monty, listen. I wanted to talk to you about… your you know… behaviour… and with what's been happening these few months… I think-"
Before she could finish, she heard a crash of cups and plates falling on the floor and she looked up to see Monty walking strangely in a cross footed pattern. "Monty?" She asked.
"I'm okay. I just…" He then stopped suddenly and his mouth began to twitch. It was so out of the blue, the Glamrock bird thought he was playing her.
Chica let out a hesitant laugh. "Very funny man." But quickly her humoured expression faded when she saw her bandmate's body begin a spasm along with his mouth. "Monty?" She asked, this time in an even more distressed tone.
Monty let out an unusual snarl and he clutched his face with both claws. "Somethin's wrong… I feel somethin'… There's danger nearby… Chica… Watch… out…" The mohawked animatronic fell down to his knees, like something was weighing him down. "I can't…!"
"Monty!" Chica cried and began to hurry over to him, all the while calling out, "Are you okay? Talk to me! Wha- Urgh…" However, what Monty felt, Chica was now suffering the same feeling and now her vision began to go hazy. "What-what-what's happening…" She began stuttering. "No… I can't… stop…" She could feel her programming being overridden by something but there was something else… It was like there was a presence entering it… She then heard something or someone let out an unsatisfied irked noise and right after, she felt like she could no longer hold back whatever this feeling was and she fell down to the floor similar to Freddy before but not before trying to reach out to her friend.
Both were now immobile and the last thing the two animatronics heard was a giggling voice creeping in, "Welcome to the cult." and it all went black.
In another part of the facility, the duo who had just left the Rockstar Row, were making their way out of the mall complex. They had just entered into the utility tunnels and the young boy was still slightly on edge due to what was around but when Gregory had asked about the hazards, Roxy replied with,
"Eh, don't worry about them. With me around they know to back off. I'm attraction number two and you are the VIP." She gave him a wink.
"Sure?"
"Course I'm sure, short stuff! Unlike Freddy I'm given the free roam treatment! None of these photo, backstage pass limitations for yours truly! Well, that's partially due to Freddy being on lockdown of course but to keep on the safe side, let's not draw too much attention. We'll go by the maintenance tunnels underneath the PizzaPlex. That way we won't be questioned or nothin'." And here they were.
To also help the child see better in the underground darkness, Roxy had given him a spare flashlight but said she'd take it back once he exited the facility. Both were now walking through the corridor system after exiting the stairwell from the previous aforementioned area.
"This place gives me the creeps." Gregory remarked looking around at the warm dark lights and industrial décor.
"You get used to it after a while. Certainly helps when S.T.A.F.F. need to deliver the goods to our locations. Say… you've been here the whole day, right?" Roxy's eyes narrowed.
"Um… Uh-huh."
"Did you manage to catch the show earlier in the day? We did do ones in the Morning & Afternoon before Freddy had his little accident."
"Uh, yeah… I did…" Gregory hesitantly replied.
"Ohhhh! What's your favourite song?" The silver wolf eagerly asked out of nowhere.
The kid quickly thought about it as to not upset Roxy, since she seemed really interested. "Ummm… Power of Love… maybe even Livin' On A Prayer? If I've got the songs, right?" He looked at the racing wolf who was beaming in excitement. Truth be told, those were the only ones he heard… He was a bit preoccupied before…
"Yeah, yeah! That's the ones! Those are two of my three favourites! I especially love Power of Love! Such a passion driven song. The kids always go wild when we do that one!" She seemed to get lost in a trance at the end there.
"I think the point of having a favourite Roxy, is to only have one?" Gregory giggled at her enthusiasm.
"Hey, it's called variety kid. Besides, I love my job." Before continuing on however, Gregory saw that Roxy had stopped walking and was looking down at the floor with a sullen expression. "Listen… Greg… About the performance. You could hear me, right? Playing my Keytar?" She looked up with hopeful eyes.
Gregory quickly relieved her, "Uh, yeah. Yeah! Totally! I mean it's hard not to with how loud everything is." He replied happily. He was being absolutely serious there. The Keytar bits were actually his favourite parts, along with all of them singing in harmony at the, "They say that only love is fair! Yeah! But you don't care!" part but he didn't want her to go into overdrive.
"Seriously? YES!" Seems like he'd done that already, as she practically leapt with joy and lifted the boy up with pleasant expressions. "I knew folks could hear it well! I knew it!" She began to give a light laugh and set the boy down as she began to mimic playing her instrument while singing the last part of, "You feel the power of love! You feel the power of love!"
"Uh, Roxy?" The wolf in question saw the boy looking at her with a snickering face, which got her to quickly stand and put her hands to her sides. She could feel her face plates getting a bit warm.
"Ummm… sorry Greg. Got carried away again. Good thing the others didn't hear. They're probably still searching above." She twirled her semi realistic hair sheepishly.
"It's okay. I think it's nice that you enjoy what you do so much." Gregory replied nicely which got Roxy to look down at the floor flustered.
"Yeah, yeah… Come on, let's keep going. Not long now."
After a bit, they had crossed over to where the main lobby was located and Gregory meanwhile, kept sneaking glances at the Glamrock animatronic who thankfully, didn't seem to notice, fixed on the route in front of her.
Roxy was so weird and cool at the same time. When he'd heard all the things about how awesome the mascots were, he didn't expect them to be like this… He had so many questions but he was nervous to ask. "(Well, it couldn't hurt to ask… I don't think she be mad.)" He thought hopefully.
Mustering up the courage, he looked up at the silver wolf. "Hey, Roxy?"
"Hm?" Roxy responded in kind looking downwards at the young man with a bright expression.
She had to say, she had misjudged him before. He was still a trespasser of course but he was a very polite kid, if a bit brash but she liked kids like that. She had a sneaky suspicion though, that he had a tendency not to give the whole truth but she'd let it pass for the time being. On top of all that… he was just a great little guy to be around.
"I wanted to ask... Em, I'm not really old enough to understand yet and I hope you don't mind me asking this-"
"Say anymore, you'll sound like me reading a disclaimer" The robot interrupted but quickly shook her head irkedly. "Darn it. Sorry kid. Ask away." She said as they turned into another corridor.
"You're basically a sentient robot, right?"
"We like to go by "Animatronic Children's Entertainers." makes us sound more classy and sophisticated cause well, I mean just look at me. Ain't gonna find this level of awesome anywhere this side of a racing track, are you?" Gregory giggled at her remark.
"I guess not but... compared to like other "Children's Entertainers" you seem pretty advanced."
"In what way sport?" They stopped and waited quickly for a nearby cleaning robot to finish his duty before continuing on.
"Well, I might be wrong on this but... most can't have a conversation like this, play a keytar, cut jokes, almost be like a normal person." Roxy couldn't help but laugh at the last part.
"Normal person, eh? Let me tell you a secret kid. Have a look at your brown hair. It's brown, isn't it?" She motioned to his head.
Gregory looked at it and then back at the wolf. "Yeah?"
"And look at my hair. It's silver with a green streak right?" She pointed at her pseudo, realistic locks.
"Yeah?" Gregory wasn't following this at all.
"There you go then. You have brown hair; I have silver hair with a bit of green. That doesn't make us normal, does it?"
"No, I guess not." He was starting to get it now but the Glamrock could see he was still a bit confused. "Oh, after you by the way." Gregory noticed they had made it to the elevator to the main entrance and held out his hand for the silver wolf to enter first, which got Roxy to chuckle.
"We got a gentleman over here. Thanks and how about this." She directed the conversation back as they both got in the elevator, Roxy pressed the button and it began playing the mascots main theme, when the doors closed and started to ascend. "You like pizza?"
"Not really."
"So... We're enemies then... Hehe kidding. Chica does, so don't let her catch you saying that. I'm personally not bothered about the stuff but that's the thing. Human, Animatronic or anywhere in-between. We're all different. That makes us not normal but unique! I'm not an expert myself on this but our lives are different to everybody else's, that's the exciting thing! Cause no one in the world can do what we're doing! That make a bit more sense now?"
"Yeah... Actually, that does make sense. We all our different but that makes us all special in our own way. Right?" He gave her a hopeful expression.
"Exactly sport!" She beamed at him. "It's always great to find people that have different likes and personality quirks, otherwise things would be so boring..."
"Uh, Roxy?"
"Yes, Greg?"
"I don't mean to sound mean but you didn't really answer my question on how you're sentient..."
As soon as he said that, Roxy's face fell. She'd done it again. And this is what she hated about her core programming. The good ol' lesson crud to kids they had instilled into them. Teachers be darned.
"Sorry Greg. Funny how that's just technology for you. Keeps on jugging at a racers pace. Never seem to be stopping." She almost sounded sad for a second. "I've been around for as long as I can remember and when I first woke up for the first time it was weird. I felt more... automated but that's where these new personality chips come in. They were supposed to make us more... I dunno... approachable? Not sure it worked for Chica" She snickered a bit, "but anyway. What the engineers didn't expect was, for the chips to have a sort of irregularity to them which had a different impact on each of our own core programming, which is, you know, make children laugh, happy, entertain, all that jazz but soon, we got add ons that came naturally with the process of the irregularities until finally, well, here's the result of it."
"Wow…" The youth could only state in bewildered wonder.
"They were pretty shocked at first when it happened too. I remember when Freddy started having a conversation on the nature of friendship with some of the tech boys. Guy wouldn't shut up for five hours, the sweetie that he is. Man, good times..." She chuckled before continuing. "Anyway, eventually, it smoothed over. As long as we didn't show too much individuality, we could stay as we were. The big guys up top were over the moon on it. Another way to make the revenue stream even bigger for the PizzaPlex they said, whatever that means. And best of all, our core programming balances this all out, so we still do our job correctly."
This was all awesome to hear for Gregory. These were more than just robots; they were like super robots! But still... "...Do you ever... want to not follow your programming?" He asked.
Roxy's head swayed back and forth. "Sometimes. I get these glitches from time to time but I mean... what tech thingy doesn't? But would I want to get rid of it? No way! I love entertaining the kids! All their happy little faces and cheering. When they look so happy to see us on stage, it feels like the whole world feels right... Like everything is just happy..." She seemed to get lost in a trance at the end but continued. "One theory the engineers had was the "Ghost in the Machine" stuff. Somethin' about AI's making their own path with their unique code or whatever. That make a great movie actually. But yeah, that's the long and short of it, short stuff!"
"That's so cool! You guys are basically like super animatronics!" Gregory said enthusiastically as they now got off the very long elevator ride in the main lobby. They didn't have far to go now.
"That's a good way to put it." She chuckled. "But pick up the pace, we've dodled a bit too long."
Just then, a voice sounded on the intercom, coming through one of the nearby speakers. "{Heads up guys. I'm extending the close down period so we can keep searching for the kid. Got permission from higher up. We got an extra half hour to find the little brat, so step it up.}" Vanessa's voice then ceased, a static was heard and it shut off. Roxy turned to look at Gregory, giving him a happy grin.
"Looks like you lucked out sport. We don't have to worry after all." They were almost at the entrance too and it was finally in sight but they took their time due to the extra minutes they had. Both were really enjoying each other's company and for different reasons… they almost didn't want to leave one another's side…
"On the subject, you have anything you like to do Greg? Hobbies?" She asked the young man, breaking the small silence.
Gregory looked away from Roxy for a moment, until he turned back. "Yeah, I like to repair things… I only do small stuff here and there but I once fixed a car…?"
"Hey, that's pretty cool! That explains the bandages. Surprised someone your age is doing that though. Its risky business being a gear dude but what about doing something that's supposed to be for fun?"
"Fixing stuff isn't fun?"
"Well, no… but I mean something that children your age do to have fun."
"Oh, right… um… I like bowling?" When he said that, Roxy unceremoniously stopped once again in her place. This seemed to be a habit… After a few moments, Gregory asked, "Is something wrong? I didn't say anything wrong did I…?" His words snapped Roxanne out of her small trance and she shook her head.
"No, it's nothing you said kid… I was just thinking about Bon was all…"
"Bon?" It then made sense to him when he remembered what he'd seen in the Atrium before. "Oh, do you mean Bonnie the bunny?"
"Yeah." She replied sullenly. "I'm guessin' you might have seen his place up near the main show stage?" Gregory nodded back. "Yeah, well… don't know how long you've been comin' here but… he's not around anymore…"
"I didn't know that… I'm sorry…"
"Takes me back... Back when we still had him with us... We did a 70s themed day. Me and him did a duet singing together... it was nice. S.T.A.F.F. weren't too pleased with the lyrics in places but the kids got into it and we were all happy to be there. Should have seen them. Waving their glowsticks from side to side, flowing with the song... It was a nice break from the big rock we did and gave me and Bon a chance to sing together and man... when we five brought it all in together, both instrument and voice, you'd see the sparkles in the kids eyes... I miss him, the big lug..." Silence then became the norm for a bit and the Glamrock increased her pace to get to the entrance faster, which made Gregory do the same. He didn't even get a chance to ask what happened to the lost mascot. Maybe she didn't want to talk about it…
Before making it within the door a few feet away, Roxy lowered herself to Gregory's level and put her paw to his shoulder. "Well, it's been fun kid. I'll let you off with just a small warning. Don't worry about the other stuff. I'll tell Van it was just a big misunderstanding. That you got lost and you've learnt your lesson. Now, I'll do all these things, just as long as you promise to not trespass again alright?"
"O-Okay." Gregory nodded.
"Cool. I knew you were a good kid. You can go back to your parents now. They must be missing you a lot."
"Ye-yeah..." He didn't look at her at first but slowly, his eyes eased upwards. "Listen... Roxy-"
However, as soon as he was about to continue, the automated intercom sounded off. "{Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizza-Plex is now closed. Initiating nighttime protocols.}" The metal vail cover at the entrance quickly lowered and before they could stop it, the doors were shut tight. Roxy swiftly looked around to inspect. She was baffled.
"What the? What's the deal with this? Van said we had time left… What's going on…" Roxy then took notice of a silent Gregory looking down at the floor.
"Greg, what's wrong?"
"It was her... She's after me."
"Who's after you?"
He had to tell her now. "I didn't tell you before… but I came into this place to hide from someone. It was a girl dressed as a bunny. I've been avoiding her all day for a while… But earlier she spotted me and that's when I made it to Rockstar Row. I was gonna hide in Freddy's room when I saw her around there, so I snuck in the back and hid in your room instead... I think she's locked me in here… I don't know why she's after me but please… don't let her get me…"
With this information, Roxy knelt down beside the child and gave him a comforting pat. "Okay, Greg. I promise I won't. I'm a bit disappointed you kept this from me but this does explain a few things. First things first, I need to find out what's going on. I'm gonna go talk to Van about this."
"No! No! Please don't…"
"It's alright. Trust me, she's not that bad. Well, apart from that time she confiscated my go-kart… I loved that go-kart too… Anyway! She's just doing her job. I'll talk to her, maybe even tell the others about the situation and they can help too. It's all gonna be okay Greg. Do you trust me." She put her paws to his shoulders and after a few seconds, he managed a nod.
"Y-Yes… Just please don't leave me alone for too long."
"I won't. Remember, you have the Fazwatch. You can call me anytime on that. Go hide in one of the corners and I'll be back as quickly as I can."
"One more thing…"
"What?"
Gregory did a small index finger tapping gesture which the silver wolf couldn't help but find cute. "Shouldn't we just call the Fazwatch a Roxwatch?"
Roxy sighed. "Greg, what did I tell you about the merch rights? We can't just go around changing stuff like that." She clicked her fingers. "Company policy remember?"
"I know but Roxwatch just sounds cooler and you gave it to me, not Freddy… I dunno…" Roxy's ear twitched slightly. She was silently giddy about this; you have no idea but she didn't show it and composed herself, giving in at the same time.
"Alright, fine. But just between us, okay?
"Okay."
"Stay safe. Use the recharge station near the entrance to top up your flashlight and call me if you get too scared."
"I'm not a little kid." Gregory rolled his eyes which got Roxy to grin.
"Of course not. You're the tough guy remember?" She smirked at him. Saying that, Roxy got on all fours and set off up the escalator. Gregory had to admit she definitely was fast.
Roxy briefly acknowledged the giant Freddy statue, before disappearing from sight, leaving Gregory by himself apart from the few security bots patrolling the area that paid him no mind just as long as he didn't get too close.
Gregory had a bad feeling about all of this. Well, even more bad than before… He wished he'd gotten a chance to explain things better before. He hated that he couldn't be honest with others but then… he had learned that when fending for himself on the streets. It was hard to switch it off when it became second nature to him.
That security guard... Something was up with her. He just knew she was but he had no idea what. Deep down he hoped that Roxy was right and he was just blowing everything out of whack.
Sitting down in a nearby corner as per Roxy's instructions, the young man crossed his arms across his knees and laid his head down, keeping his flashlight close.
"Gregory..."
Just then, Gregory thought he heard a voice. It was very faint… It couldn't be Roxy. Was it just his imagination? Thinking it was nothing, Gregory laid his head back down on his knees when,
"It's me..."
There it was again and it was much louder. The youth looked both ways and saw nothing, even looking above and behind him and once again there was not a trace of anything apart from the sounds of the bots nearby. It couldn't be them either. All their main function was just to roam around and be creepy.
He waited a few more minutes and there was nothing but silence. Calming down and chalking it up to his imagination once more, Gregory went back to resting. Doing this all the while, being unaware of a giggling moon shaped silhouette grinning down at him from the shadows.
Roxy quickly left the elevator in a hurried pace now in the Atrium complex. No sign of the others. They must have gone into their own shows to look for Greg. That meant she still had some time on her side.
She would talk to Vanessa after this. First, she needed to speak to Freddy. She couldn't quite understand it but she felt as if Freddy saw something when they botched their last performance. He hadn't done something as bad as that for a while now, apart from that girl's birthday incident but that was a small one compared to this recent one and it had her worried.
If she was being honest, what the kid had said about the girl in a bunny costume worried her even more. She was no stranger to the weird stuff that had been happening these last few months and she hoped that this wasn't related in anyway. It was best not to tell Gregory about it. She didn't want to worry the kid anymore than he was. If worse came to worse though, she would protect him from whatever this thing was. It had to be enough. It had to be…
It better be…
You might have noticed that Gregory is a bit more kinder in this than in the game. Frankly that's because I felt he was a bit of a prick in that and I wanted to balance him out here by making him more sympathetic with the others cause it seemed like he almost didn't give a crap about them like he did with Freddy. For those that are interested also, I recommend listening to "Power Of Love" (Orchestral Intro Ver) and "Livin' On A Prayer" when imagining what songs the Glamrocks would sing. Seriously, they fit so well with them but then, they are based on that type of music. Hell, they went all in on the "Jump" reference back in Sister Location, with the Opening Theme for Security Breach. Also, the song that Roxy mentioned singing with Bonnie is called "Let's Celebrate" by Midnight Star and one that isn't mentioned that they also sang on the day is, "FM" by Steely Dan. I think it really fits in with the whole nature of them being happy singing to the kids and just the image of the children swaying their glow sticks back and forth to the former, is both cute and awesome. Of course you'll have to suspend your disbelief a bit cause I don't know if Bonnie would exactly have a voice like that but who knows! If any of you do listen, please let me know your thoughts! Meanwhile, I'll see you guys soon. Review at your leisure and have a good one!
