Back once again! I do apologise if this one took a bit longer to get out, I actually had to heavily edit this chapter since I had packed a bit too much into it. I can say that I should be able to get one out once a week at most but no promises there do to life and such but I will try! Once more on the views, favs, follows, reviews, thanks a bunch guys, keep them coming. I'm glad that folks liked the Freddy twist too. Time will tell if our heroes will be able to save him like the others! On another note, I seriously hope the movie for the series comes out soon. I'm waiting with patient breath but meanwhile, kick the feet up and let's get back to it!

My Racingstar Chapter Four

Now far past One AM, in a dark, lit up blue, office room, far above an attraction called "Fazerblast", located in the main Atrium, lay seated with her mask off to one side the main hunter of Gregory. Empty pizza boxes and soda cans lay scattered around the dirty checkered floor, with a pile of stacked boxes in one corner next to the exit and diagonal to the entrance door with a window showing the attraction below and in the other, was a mattress with graffiti above on the right, showing the name of the woman in question currently seated.

Vanny took a slice of one of her last remaining available pizzas, as she rubbed her face with her dirty costumed glove and gave a stretch. She was breathing heavily and could feel her vision getting dim again. She took a long breath before continuing to eat.

After a few moments of consumption and gently patting her face, she turned her attention back to her two monitored screens hooked up to her PC, next to her mattress, taking off her rabbit gloves as she did so. There was another screen located a bit on the upper right but that wasn't connected to the other two and only showed the Pizza-Plex desktop theme.

Typing in on her keyboard, Vanny glanced at her mask and hesitated for a second or two but then put it on and waited patiently.

And almost like it was always happening, she was now conversing.

"…?"

"Yes, I can hear you… How's it going, did the extra juice help?"

"…"

"I see… Good…"

"…?"

"Yes, it worked perfectly. All singing the same tune now…"

"…"

"Thank you…" Her tone at the end went down a few octaves, which didn't go unnoticed.

"…?"

"What…? No, I'm fine..."

"…?"

"There're no problems... It's been a long day that's all..."

"…?"

"The kid? He's no threat, we can nab him anytime, anywhere… I wanna have some fun first. Got something special planned for him…" In saying that, the woman's eyes shifted a bit in dismay and qualm.

"…"

"No, no… Of course, I haven't forgotten..."

"…"

Her expression then turned to confusion with the new dosage of information. "Wait, what...?"

"…"

"An irregularity...? What do you mean...?"

"…"

"One that isn't by-"

"…"

"How long has it been there...?"

"…"

"You don't know... How could you not know that? This is your-"

"…!"

Vanny was swiftly silenced and only continued listening until, "Forgive me. I didn't mean to presume-"

"…"

"Yes... Yes..."

"…"

"I understand..."

"…"

"I will keep watch..."

"…"

"It will be as you wish..."

"Do. Not. Disappoint. Me…"

The conversation then ceased.

Sighing heavily from fatigue, Vanny unsheathed her mask and grabbed one of the last nearby sodas she had left. Unhooking it, she took a drink which soothed her some but it didn't help completely. "Irregularity…" She scoffed aloud, "What could possibly be wrong now…? We're in the home stretch. Just a couple more- Argh…!" She winced from the sting of pain all of a sudden, being felt in her head. "…Hello again headaches… It's only been an hour since the last…" She sarcastically said to herself.

The costumed woman grabbed a nearby small item under her second monitor, next to a crumpled piece of paper and carefully fitted it into her mask and after, laid right back on her seat, giving a quick adverse glance at the close by arcade across from her table. Sighing heavily again, she looked up at the ceiling.

"…What am I doing…"

Not far off meanwhile, Gregory and Roxanne were once again in the main Atrium, making their way to Fazberblast, keeping an eye out for the other Glamrocks and the white rabbit. The whole place was their enemy for lack of a better word but they tried to take their mind off it with light conversation as had become the norm.

Gregory, riding on Roxy's back, was not successful in evading sickness when they set off this time unfortunately, so despite the urgency of their current task, the Glamrock wolf was taking her time so he could recover, assuming the pose prone to a piggyback ride. The ride was quite comfortable for the youth due to Roxy's hair that was almost comparable to a bed, so comfortable in fact, that he'd almost fallen asleep, which had caused Roxy to go, "Ay, this ain't a road side inn sport, we've got work to do remember?"

After their needed rest in Roxanne's Raceway, they discussed their plan of getting Glamrock Chica back to her old self, before going for Monty and Freddy. Freddy would be last due to him having an advanced special design compared to his other fellow bandmates which depressed the silver wolf but she understood the situation needed to be handled with care and they couldn't get ahead of themselves.

Also, when being asked about how they'd be able to find the other animatronics due the place being as massive as it was, the Glamrock Wolf's directed Gregory to her eyes.

"Because of my cool design, I was gifted with these. I can use my eyes to see where they are. They can see through most things like walls, doors… well not really but I can see certain things if that makes sense...?"

"You'll have to be a bit more-"

"Right, right. Basically, it's like super eyes that can see certain stuff."

"Oh, that makes sense!" Gregory smiled.

"Of course it does…" Roxy rolled the aforementioned lenses but got focused. "Right. Here's the plan. This is a stretch but Chica can usually be found down in the loading bay, eating out of the garbage. It's one of her weird quirks that she hasn't been able to fix yet. If we're lucky, it should have passed over. When we get down there, we should be able to use one of the able pizza bots to make a pizza for her to get distracted. We sneak up, wham bam and take her to Parts 'n Service. Just in case though, we're going to get Plan B at Fazerblast, I'm sure you must have seen it before. You should be able to win yourself a blaster that can be used to stun Chica, Freddy and probably Monty and Vanny too. If the Pizza trick fails, we'll go with that. Otherwise... we're just gonna have to rush her but hopefully the first two don't fail. Any questions?"

"Just... how does Chica... eat...?" The youth asked, almost not wanting to know the answer at the same time.

"Greg, you're talking to a highly advanced piece of awesome machinery. How does that work?"

"I dunno..."

"Exactly."

And here they were.

With Gregory however, he really didn't want to mention to Roxy about that voice he'd heard twice before... He hoped it was just a side effect of the stuff happening in the PizzaPlex but he still had an uneasy feeling but at the same time, another thought was on his mind.

"Hey Roxy." He asked as they crossed over into the middle of the Atrium next to the show stage keeping far from the S.T.A.F.F. bots on patrol.

"Look who's decided to find their voice. Argh, sorry Greg, go ahead." She really needed to put a curb on that snarkiness of hers…

"Why are the other security bots leaving me alone? I know I'm like with you but wouldn't they even flinch?"

"Like I said sport. Because of me, they can't. I'm higher clearance and one of the main attractions. That gives me the green light almost anywhere I go. The S.T.A.F.F. bots know that if someone is with me or anyone of us Glamrocks, we're takin' care of business. Just don't stray too far from me, otherwise you'll have the map bot getting all up in your face." She deadpanned at the end.

"Map bot?" Gregory blinked.

"Yeah. The definition of annoying party crashers. When any visitor goes into a new area of the PizzaPlex, they constantly shove a map in your face and ask you to "Take a map". The animatronic wolf mimicked their emotionless tone, which got Gregory to chuckle.

"Only recently they actually started calming down. One time I had to take a child back to their parents and the map bot wouldn't leave the kid alone! Thinking she was a new guest, despite her being in the place for a while. I got so angry that I kicked the blasted thing into tomorrow, which got me put on time out. The little lady was at least thankful. Now, I'm a girl that has a lot of patience... Err... Except on the Racetrack for good reason but I dare anyone to not get angry like I did, having one of these bots constantly asking you to take a map while invading your personal space. At one point one malfunctioned and thought Monty was a guest! I'd like to have a nice little talk with the sucker who designed these jokers. Give him a piece of my mind."

With the dark tone, Gregory thought he'd drop it. "Umm… getting off that… About Chica, Monty and Freddy what are they like?" He asked.

"Well, from the way I've spoken about Chica before, you should already know sport." Roxanne grinned.

"Besties?"

"You got it. She's my best friend! Well, all of the guys are my best friends but me and her have been around almost exactly at the same time. She's a sweetheart, always trying her best to look out for us, though she's not too good at explaining things sometimes, needs a bit of a hand from Freddy. Monty, is a good guy, keeps mostly to himself sometimes, I don't wanna say too much on him since… you might get the wrong idea…"

"Wrong idea about what…?"

"…I can't really explain it well short stuff but the guy's personality can be a bit… much… Still, he has a heart of gold underneath all those scales." Roxy's expression changed for second but Gregory didn't notice.

"And Freddy?"

"Freddy? He's the big guy that keeps us together! Loves sticking by the rules and regulations laid down by S.T.A.F.F. which he sometimes does a bit too much…" Roxanne waved it off jokingly. "We all have our ups and downs and even middles but we're still always together. Even Van. I do hope she's alright too." The silver wolf seemed to get quieter at the end, which Gregory picked up on.

"You seem quite worried about her."

Roxy chuckled as they now made their way into the main corridor entrance leading to Fazerblast. "From our conversation before in my room, you wouldn't think it would ya? She's an interesting gal Van. Stern, disciplined, sometimes a bit overbearing and annoying... like a lot... but places like these need hardworking folks like her. Wouldn't want a slobber as a night guard, would you?"

"Guess not." Gregory agreed.

"Plus, there were times she was really nice if it was one of our birthdays! She'd let us see one another to have a small party in one of our green rooms, she'd even join us sometimes too! She can be a lot of laughs." Roxy reminisced.

Gregory hesitated to say something, "Yeah… I only saw her after the night show… Well, not in a good way, since I… you know… stayed behind… I had to hide from her…" He'd mostly avoided her for most of the day, then when she spotted him in the night, he had to do a runner. There was something else about her as well but he didn't want to think too hard on it.

"Not that it's my place… but I remember overhearing from some of the S.T.A.F.F. guys," Roxy continued as they walked into the elevator after she pushed the button, "that lately she's been having sort of emotional problems. Seen a couple of therapists. Talking about issues to do with her estranged relationship with her dad or something. I even had a conversation with Chi Chi that she seemed more closed off than usual, ending conversations a bit quick. But then rumours are like that. Someone makes a little noise and..." The Glamrock wolf suddenly stopped talking and Gregory was wondering if something was wrong.

"Everything okay?"

"Uh, yeah, yeah. Sorry kid. Just thinking about something." The child couldn't see but a sullen expression was on Roxanne's face. "(Rumours always do the worst...)"

She quickly emptied her thoughts of it but another sad one entered and she turned her head slightly to look at Gregory.

"I want to apologise as well Greg..."

"What for?" He asked, puzzled.

"When you were escaping from Chica and Monty before... The elevator... I... could have left it to at least help you but I didn't... I didn't want to force myself to do anything that would hurt them... You understand what I mean right?"

"Yeah and it's okay. You were a big help by distracting Chica remember?"

"Yeah. Thanks." The Glamrock wolf nodded in reassurance. "Besides, I don't think I'll be able to get out of it now..." Muttering that, they were now in the reception quarter after exiting the elevator. "We're here."

"This is Fazerblast?" Gregory asked, looking at all the neon lights, stars, ads and posters around the room.

"This is Fazerblast." Roxy repeated in confirmation and regarded the posters of her friends for a second before gently helping Gregory off her back, "There you go. Well, not exactly. It's a bit further on. Should we sign up?" The Glamrock snickered but stopped when she saw Gregory not laughing. "Trying to lighten the mood but you're right, more important things going on. Go ahead through those doors on the left and it'll tell you all you need to know from one of the bots. Don't worry, this one's friendly not dangerous, apart from the slight chance of being bored to death… but it's all automated. Are you sure fire at laser quest?"

"I'm not bad." Gregory gave a sly grin.

"That's the spirit tough guy." Roxanne returned it. "Go on through. I'll be around on the outskirts."

He nodded but right before Gregory went to walk on, Roxanne glimpsed a bit of half-eaten pizza hanging off the counter and then an empty pizza box on the floor near the desk. "Wait a sec..." It looked fresh. "Greg, hold on!" Roxy shouted after the boy but it was already too late, as he had walked through the door that had now shut.

"Well... crud..." Roxy's display suddenly switched and a small call icon could be viewed at the bottom. "Greg, you hear me?"

"{Yeah? What's wrong?}"

Clicking a button on the side of her right eye, Roxy's interface turned a purple tint. She could do it without the remote but the silver wolf always liked the old ways. "One sec, I'm switching to close view."

Gregory was anxious to know what the deal was, as the S.T.A.F.F. bot in front of him finished the explanation and he walked on carefully. "{What do you see?}"

"Chica, she's in the arena... I can just make her out roaming about on the far left… And she's out of range…" Roxy sighed. "That makes things more harder."

"{Hold on. Isn't this a good thing?}" Gregory stated more hopeful.

"Huh?"

"{It means we don't have to go looking for her and we can go right to Plan B, that's good, isn't it?}"

"Yeah... I suppose but be careful." The Pizza luring idea would have been better for them but they needed to adapt.

"{Still, we've got a pretty good shot, don't we?}"

Roxy gave a small smile. "Yeah. Right, sneak around Chica and get the Fazerblaster. If we're lucky, maybe she went into one of the stock rooms to feed herself silly."

"{Got it.}" The connection cut and Roxy entered the section with the "No Entry" above it and followed the alternative route to the arena.

Gregory followed the many liner, metallic, neon lit corridors into an almost oval, square shaped elevator and after a minute of tedious waiting, found himself in the arena.

Now in the maze-like section, Gregory took note of the size and scale with the neon lights decorating everywhere. He was noticing a trend here… He could also just make out when looking up, a sort of catwalk but quickly got back to the task at hand.

After successfully shooting his way and defending the flags from the "alien bots" in the different stations, Roxy notified Gregory of the "Prize" in the "Superstar Lounge" along with the annoying announcer guy and speaking of annoying, those bots repeating the same lines again and again were driving the youth near crazy, still, the music was nice and in the meantime, he put his blaster in the "Blaster Return" bin and entered the elevator to the aforementioned lounge.

There was still no sign of Chica since the last time Roxy spotted her however. It was strange but then again, the silver wolf's eyes weren't able to exactly pinpoint where the Glamrock bird was before and the previous comments had put him at ease some.

However, after obtaining the gold Fazblaster or "Fazerblaster", he really didn't like the default name and gave it a better one, Gregory noticed on his way out, there was a vent of some kind… "Where does this go…?" It seemed like he could fit into it as well and curiosity getting the better of him, he climbed inside.

Meanwhile, Roxy had stationed herself on the spiral staircase in the far right, keeping a watch for her bandmate and was starting to wonder where Gregory was.

Back with the young man himself, he had just made it out of the vent and into another one after walking into a small catwalk, though not the same as the one he'd seen previously, that one was more higher up, which he hoped this current vent lead to too.

Gregory's hunch proved correct, as the vent opened up next to a security door on one side and the very same catwalk he'd seen before on the other and just then, "Gregory..." Could it be...?

"It's me..." Shaking his head, Gregory was starting to lose it slightly, while staring into the darkness of the catwalk but a voice brought him back.

"{Greg, I haven't seen you come down yet. Everything alright?}" As Roxy asked that, Gregory checked out the squared window on the door and his eyes widened in shock at what he saw inside.

"{Greg? Greg, you there?}"

"Roxy… I think I found the rabbit lady's secret room. It's high above Fazerblast. Seems like a hideout."

"{How can you be sure?}"

"Well, it literally has her name "Vanny" above her bed so-"

"{Right, right. What's inside?}"

"The bed, some graffiti spelling her name, an arcade… for some reason… stacked boxes with an exit door and a recharge flashlight station. It doesn't look like she's in…" Inspecting the arcade game more closely, Gregory recognised the title. "Huh… Princess Quest Three…?"

"{That's a bummer. We could have maybe killed two birds with one stone… We can't do anything at the moment Greg. We've got to focus on getting the others back. Come back the way you came quickly. I dunno how long Chica will stay here.}"

"On my way." Gregory agreed, though a bit disappointed. A thought had entered his mind that he first brushed away as being stupid but… it could still be true… He'd have to come back to it later though.

The youth soon made it back down into the arena and was hiding behind one of the many neon lit panels, waiting on Roxy giving him the lowdown on where the Glamrock bird was. However, he quickly regretted wanting to know.

"{Greg… Don't make too much noise… and stay cool… She's right on the other side of your wall, slightly crouched, looking about…}" Roxy advised from her vantage point.

Gregory gulped. It looked as though Chica was more cunning than they gave her credit for. She had the same idea as them, slightly more simple though. "{Be cool man, you've got this…}" Roxy reassured and carefully got to a point on the stairwell where she could jump down to assist and still keep an eye on her fellow Glamrock.

With Chica closer, Roxanne could see her bandmate was starting to lose some of her glam and colour, looking dirtier and scratched in places.

"{Man, she's not had a polish for a bit. Looks like she's just came from the loading bay actually. Come to think of it, I'm looking a bit bad myself. Hope my hair doesn't get ruined…}" She looked over her outer plating and locks.

"Roxy!" Gregory brought her back into reality with a small shout that Roxanne would admit was a bit cute.

"{Right, sorry sport. I'll be down in just a-}"

"BAM!" Gregory yelped as a hand burst out through the neon, peach coloured panel he was hiding behind. Another hand pierced its way through and both proceeded to tear through the not durable fabric. Purple eyes could be seen in the silhouette who made her way through the torn wall.

"I found you!" Chica stated happily as Gregory scrambled back from her. "This area is off limits. S.T.A.F.F. only." He didn't even hear her! She could seriously sneak when she wanted to.

Up close, Chica really was starting to look worse for wear like Roxy stated previously. Her plating was getting worn and she had marks all over her body. She must have been seriously looking for him and now she had.

However, Gregory kept as cool as he could, while the Glamrock chicken stalked over to him, slowly reaching down for his waist.

"No more games Gregory..." Chica twitched.

"Yeah, no more games. Just this!" He blasted the laser right at the animatronics' eyes which caused Chica to uncontrollably stutter all around.

"WAWK BAWK FAWK?! The Glamrock was just able to squawk out as the laser stunned her eyes and messed with her endoskeleton.

"{Yes, Greg! Now we just-}" Roxy's cheering was interrupted when Chica made a charge for the youth, despite being blasted in the eyes.

Timing it just right, the young man leapt and clasped his hands around the Glamrock's neck, all the while Chica tried to take a bite at him but Gregory remained dangling off, all the while she continued to try and bite him in anger, her arms would still not work fortunately. Chica tried flailing herself about to shake him off but that didn't do anything. The youth was keeping a tight grip.

"Roxy, help!" He shouted.

"Hold on!" The silver wolf shouted over, continuing to hurry to their location.

"What do you think I'm doing?!" Gregory screamed back. The Glamrock chicken was still trying to make a snap for him and he could see how dirty her plating was in the inside of her mouth... but hold on... He noticed a button on the underside of her endoskeleton jaw. He didn't know how long he could hold her off before Roxy intervened or Chica's arms woke up, so he went for it.

Meanwhile, as this was happening, deep inside the mind of Chica, it was all a blur due to her current core programming infection like something was telling her what to do and she had to listen but in these last moments, something was happening… There was someone already here but... now there was a new presence... Why was her screen now a hazy yellow colour...? She could feel herself returning function back... What was she doing, why did she want to hurt this child, what was going on? Her true vision returned and she then noticed that the boy she just tried to bite, was reaching out. She then realised what was about to happen, "Kid wait!"

"Greg! What are you doing!" Roxy arrived a few meters from the tussle.

"There's something… on her jaw! Let me just-"

Roxy's eyes widened in the realisation of what he meant and ran to stop it. "No Greg! Don't flip the-" But it was already too late. The switch located on Chica's underjaw was flipped down and suddenly the Glamrock chicken stopped all of a sudden. Coupled with the sudden motion, Gregory fell down on his backside immediately, giving it a rub after landing.

"Ow." He winced but he yelped when he saw the animatronic bird just staring at him. Roxy then was by his side.

"You alright? Nothing hurt?" She helped him up to his feet.

"No, no. I'm okay…" He looked down at himself and then up just in time to see the silver wolf with a furious expression aimed at him.

"Don't do something silly like that again you hear me? Almost gave me heart attack!" Roxanne scolded.

"Um, you're an animatronic…?" Gregory hesitantly said back.

"I still have a heart, Gregory." Gregory… First time she'd said that… She must have been really worried.

"R-Right... Um… but did it work?" But the silver wolf was more focused on Gregory.

"Greg… That was a really stupid thing to do. That's her Force Stop switch! Each of us have one installed in different parts. They moved hers to her beak due to her little eating problem." This was the third option Roxy had hoped wouldn't happen but she didn't expect the kid to actually do it on instinct!

"Oh… Is it bad that I pressed it…?"

"Oh, no. It's perfectly fine. Of course, it's bad! It's called Force Stop for a reason! Her entire mainframe could muck up due to this!" Roxy ranted.

"I'm sorry…" The youth looked down, sad that he might have potentially really hurt the animatronic bird but his expression turned better when the wolf Glamrock ruffled his hair, that had become her almost habit.

"It's alright. This is better than her being that zombie thing. Just tell me if you're gonna do something dumb. Maybe I can help." Gregory nodded slightly and gave a small smile back at the calmed silver wolf.

"Well... it seemed like a-" Before he could continue, both jumped back in a jolt, when Chica suddenly spoke out.

"Welcome to Mazercise! Work off the calories while you eat. Sign up for a membership pass today! Super cool perks include discounts on pizza, nachos, fries and cookies! Now that's the smell of fitness! Hey, did anyone catch the show last night-" And before either could blink, Chica fell back like a ton of bricks with a loud "Thud!" keeping a frozen pose, with her right index finger pointing upwards and her beak wide open.

Both remained silent for a moment. "Ehh… is that supposed to happen?" Gregory looked at Roxy questionably.

"I have no idea… At least she's not in hostile mode anymore. We should keep her shut down so whatever this is, can't get to her now. Let's get her down to Parts-" Roxy was interrupted into a shocked gasp when Chica suddenly sprang awake and sat up, eyeing the two that switched her off.

Both were frozen like statues at what just happened and would have probably both been done in right there when, "Dude... I get myself back and the first thing that happens to me, is my Force Stop gets flipped...? Not cool man." Chica moved her hands to her head giving it a rub at a specific part, "Hmmm… Ahh… My acing beak! Did I eat too much out of the trash again? Oh, yeah. Hey, Roxy!" She beamed.

Gregory and Roxy's faces slowly moved into smiles, "She's back?" The youth asked.

"She's back! Great job Racingstar!" Gregory saw the Glamrock wolf holding out her hand and both connected the high five and they let out a small cheer, not noticing the confused Glamrock chicken watching this unfold.

"Um… earth to you two. Hello? Anyone- Hey! Steady on Rox!" Chica was interrupted by her bandmate hugging her out of the blue, though not without reason.

"Man, it's good to have you back." Roxanne said sincerely, Chica meanwhile returned the hug, giving her friend a gentle pat.

"Must have given you quite a scare." Now, the memories were returning of what she did, as both Glamrock's broke the hug, Roxanne stood while Chica stayed seated, shaking her head in sorrow. "Guys. I'm so sorry. I never meant to hurt anyone. Honest."

"We believe you Chi Chi, don't we Greg?" Roxy glanced at him who still was a bit on edge. "Greg, it's alright now. This is Chica." She introduced the Glamrock bird who gave the kid a hesitant smile, not wanting to overwhelm him.

"Uh... Hi again... Sorry about before. Like Rox said, I'm Chica. I know it'll be hard to gain your trust after… all that… but I really am grateful man. You seem like a nice kid and it would be great if we could be friends..." Seriously it was like night and day on how different she was. Her personality, how she talked, the whole package!

Gregory saw the Glamrock bird had no ill intentions and the face she was making made him feel really bad. It's not like she was in control of her actions before and… she seemed actually really nice… "Y-Yeah. I think we can be friends-" He went to hold out his hand for a handshake but as he said the last part, he was pulled into a big hug by the happy animatronic.

"Excellent! Aw man, that makes me so happy, you have no idea dude!" Chica said cheerfully but when she realised she could potentially crush the boy, she let him go quickly. "Oh, I'm sorry man! I didn't mean to do that. I get carried away sometimes." She said sheepishly.

Gregory caught his breath, as he began to hit his back. "Yeah... I got that from Roxy... She also said that you were a very good friend, so that's why I decided to trust you."

Chica chuckled as she gave a glance at the silver animatronic. "I just try my best but thanks. I'll work hard to show your trust in me was not in vain Greg Greg."

"Greg Greg?" Gregory blinked.

"What? Your name sounds cute." Chica said sweetly.

"(So… she's another one...)" Gregory facepalmed.

"What? What I say?" Chica looked around for any approval.

"Oh, nothing. Just everything." Roxy joked.

"Not cool man." Chica winged. After a bit of stretching her parts, she rose up with a spring in her step. "I seriously got to get in better shape."

"Maybe if you didn't eat so much pizza you would be." Roxanne chipped in.

"Hey, hey. It's all cool. I'm going cold turkey."

"That I'd love to see." In the middle of this, Gregory was trying to process what had just been said. His perplexed look was noticed by the two, "What?" They both said.

"You're talking like you have a bad body... but you're an animatronic."

"Listen dude, just cuz I got a metal body, doesn't mean I can't stretch the parts out once and a while. You get me?"

"Word." Roxy chipped in again and Gregory just shook his head accepting it.

"I'll just go with it."

"That's the spirit Greg Greg!" Chica beamed and couldn't help but coo at how cute and small the boy was. "Oh, aren't you just the sweetest little thing! You should come to my green room some time! Do you like guitars?" She asked enthusiastically.

Oh yeah. This was definitely the real Chica he could see before, shredding her strings.

"Uh… a bit yeah…"

"Station dude! I can show you some sick notes!"

"Watch you don't eat him now Chi Chi."

"Oh, hush up. My mind's not always on pizza. Well, maybe a tiny bit. 75%." Both realised a bit too late that Gregory was now shaking at what Roxy said and the two Glamrocks kicked themselves. "Sorry man. Need to watch what we say. Rest assured, there will be no more biting or any of that weird stuff from me. Man, I hate thinking about what I just did…"

"About that," Roxy's tone turned solemn. "What happened to you?"

Chica closed her eyes, remembering back in angst. "It's hard to think about... I was… searching for the kid with Monty in the main Atrium, when he suddenly started acting weird. He was twitching, then collapsed to his knees and I started going weird after… I can't remember too well but I saw a haze of white and someone giggling, sounding like a girl and it went black for me. After that, I just patrolled around the place looking for Greg Greg here."

"That must have been Vanny that did that to you!" Gregory stated irked.

"Vanny?"

"It's mouthful but she's the reason why the kid was stuck in here in the first place, separated him from his parents, right Greg?" Roxy glanced at him.

"Y-Yeah…" The youth hesitantly said back.

"She's been huntin' him for the whole day and luckily, he managed to hide in my room and I've been with him ever since. Still, the fact she got the drop on you and Monty. She must be dead crafty." Roxy shook her head.

"I didn't want to admit this, probably because I wished it wasn't true… but in the last few weeks especially... it felt like I was being watched, like... everywhere I went. And then all of a sudden, the feeling would go away. It felt so off and that… presence that I felt pierce my programming... I'd felt the sensation before. When they brought out that drink and I couldn't help myself. It was more contained though... Elusive... Like they were trying to hide from me..."

"How does a core, program corruption hide...?" Roxy asked.

"Trust me, you gotta experience it to believe it dear." Chica replied grimly.

"I'll take your word for it man. You're making me a bit on edge here sayin' this stuff." The Glamrock wolf said back carefully.

"Sorry man." Chica put a hand to her bandmate's shoulder who patted it in reassurance. "Come on let's get out of here. Always hated this place." The three then made their way out through the exit door that connected to the many liner corridors. However, when getting inside, the Glamrock bird found it a bit disorienting. "Which way is the exit…?" Chica asked as she looked back and forth at the metallic décor. It all looked the same.

"Um, Chi, it's a one-way system remember?" Roxy said back to her.

"Oh, of course silly me. Sorry." Chica then stopped and put a hand to her face, almost like she was not all there.

Noticing this, Roxy motioned for Gregory to head a bit on and she walked back to her best friend, giving her a small pat on the shoulder. "You doing alright?"

Chica took her hand off her beak and tried to give a smile. "Yeah, yeah… Still adjusting, that's all. Can't believe I was like that before… It's surreal." Chica then glanced at Gregory who was looking around at the all the colours and she smiled at the silver wolf. "He's a nice kid."

"He is. Do you need a bit?" Roxy asked.

"Nah. I'm alright… Just… remember that convo I had with you before we did the last show today?"

"Yeah?"

"I really want to do that solo again."

"You meaning Spectral Mornings?"

"Yeah... and Angel of Mons... Man, the kids loved it... Even if it was just one big glorified guitar solo but... they could see what I was trying to do... I was reaching out to them and they accepted it... I worked so hard on it too... but of course... I had to glitch at the most important part... Seems to be a running gag for us..." She joked. "I'm just thinking we won't get to perform after what happened..."

"Hey, don't fret man. You'll get a chance to do it again. S.T.A.F.F. liked it, even Freddy on the drums, so there's a chance." Roxanne quipped and reassured.

"Yeah, I suppose." Chica gave a hopeful smile.

Roxy returned it and they both walked up to Gregory and continued on their way. "Don't worry about it. It's just good to have you as your normal self again, Chi Chi."

"Yeah. We just need to get Freddy and Monty back to normal now." Gregory overheard the last part as they made it into the gear area.

"No… They got Freddy too…?" Chica gasped, which Roxy responded with a sad nod but it quickly changed to a positive look.

"It might seem bad but we got you back and we will get them back."

"Yeah." Gregory reassured the Glamrock bird with a hesitant but still reassuring pat to the arm and Chica's expression lightened some. "Also, I don't know if this will help much but last time I ran into Vanny, she had this sort of touch pad thing… I think that might have something to do with this corruption or whatever…"

"It's hazy but… I think she might have had something like that on her when she ambushed me and Monty before!" Chica pitched in and all three were now back in the reception area meanwhile.

"Hmmm… You might have something there sport. We need to get our hands on it." Roxy agreed. "But right now, we need to get Monty back. Did you see him anywhere last time, right before you went into Fazerblast Chi Chi?"

Chica rubbed her head, thinking hard. Her memory was still fuzzy. "…It was a while back… but I think he was making his way back to his course?"

"That makes things easier at least to find him then. Hmm… but it'll be harder to get the drop on him and with what you just pulled man; he would most likely catch on too."

"So how do we get Monty then?" Gregory asked puzzled.

Just then, a lightbulb went off inside Chica's head and she gave the others a sly smile.

"I've got an idea…"

There wasn't too much to go off of when thinking of Chica's personality, apart from her shredding her, "Gibson Les Paul" and the slight part you can see when she rushes over to help Freddy when he malfunctions at the start, so I hope you like what I did with her and her interactions with Gregory and Roxy! I like to think she's a rather cheerful individual. Also, for anyone that is interested, the songs Chica mentions "Spectral Mornings", "Clocks The Angel Of Mons" are done by the artist "Steve Hackett". Imagining her rocking those out and the band and kids headbanging to the latter particularly is just bliss. Meanwhile, how will they fare against the gator? We'll have to see! Review at your leisure and have a good one!
