Vision or Dream - *Talking*
Cybertronian speaking - "Talking"
Comm Link Bot/Con/Human/Over Video/Bond - "talking"
With Abelia, Will, & The Bots
There is something about going somewhere new with your family. For Will, they were all merely going home to his wife and daughter. For Abelia and the Autobots, they were heading someplace new and were slightly unsure of how they would be received by Sarah Lennox. Abelia because she didn't know how the woman would act and the Autobots didn't know how they would be taken by her.
"Hey. Stop worrying. My wife will be nervous around you guys, but she'll warm up to you," Will stated, trying to ease the Autobot's worries. He was wearing new clothes fit for his new rank as Major, but Abelia was wearing the same clothes for the past couple of days. She didn't know why, but she didn't feel the need to change.
They were riding back in Ironhide and were only 15 minutes away from reaching the Lennox country home. Ratchet and Bumblebee were behind them in case Abelia needed Ratchet and Bumblebee if he needed to speed ahead or to fall back. Optimus and Jazz were behind them in case anyone, mostly con, followed from behind.
"If you say so," Ratchet said.
"Oh come on, Ratchet! If Will says his sparkmate will warm up to us, then we have to trust his word. He knows her better than we do," Bumblebee spoke, trying to help Will ease the worries of his friends, as well as himself.
"Hez got a point," Jazz added.
"Shut it you two," Ratchet grumbled.
Will blinked, confused. He looked at Abelia, who had a confused look as well. They both turned to the radio.
"What's a sparkmate," Abelia and Will asked in unison, confusion and well as curiosity dancing in their eyes.
"I forgot dat they didn't know. Who wants ta tell," Jazz spoke up, clearly asking his friends if they wanted to explain.
"A sparkmate is what we call our Conjunx Endurae or lifebond partner," Optimus said, "It would be the Cyertronian equivalent of a human wife or husband."
Abelia was imminently intrigued, her attention focused on the radio on the dashboard. Will chuckled at her because he knew it wasn't just her young natural curiosity-fueling her desire to learn, but also her need to learn more about her other half. Plus, he couldn't blame her because he wanted to learn more about his alien friends.
"So you guys have marriages. How does your kind do that," Will asked.
"Marriage would be the closest word to describe it, but it's different for us. When our kind decides to bond, our sparks literally merges with the other. There are different types of bonds, like the sibling bond Amcia Endurae, which is what the bond between me and Abelia is called. Romantic ones are called Conjunx's," Optimus explained.
"Merging your sparks? How does that work," Abelia asked before her eyes widen and she panicked, "Wait, did I just ask something taboo? I didn't say anything taboo by asking did I?"
Laughter was her answer, giving her some relief.
"No, you didn't," Bumblebee laughed.
"But to answer your question," Ratchet spoke, but the two humans could hear the grin in his voice, "Merging happens when two, or maybe sometimes more than three, decide to bond. The courting or intended bondmates open their chest to reveal their sparks. Once the spark merges, the newly bonded can communicate through the bond and feel the other emotions, though they have to stay near each other to give the bond time to settle."
"New bonds, like Optimus and Abelia," Will stated.
"Yes. Both of them need to stay near each other or at least close proximity for another earth week," the Medic spoke.
A thought crossed Will's mind and he grew worried. What would happen to one of them if the other was injured?
"If Optimus or Abelia were to get injured, what will happen to the other?"
Will's question created a silence, but it was an uneasy silence to the question that needed to be answered, but one no one wanted to answer.
Ironhide decided to speak up when no one spoke for a minute.
"If one of them is hurt, the other will feel it through the bond. If the bond is broken, both or all sides will feel immense pain. And if one of them were to die...," Ironhide paused, like the very thought of losing either of them was too much to bear, "If one of them were to die the other will feel their death. In some bonded pairs, if one were to die, the other will follow. Bonds are that powerful."
Abelia felt her inside shrivel upon hearing that. While it seemed bonding was great for the Cybertronians, it also had its cons to it as well. She could feel sadness grow within her at the thought of losing Optimus. Like she said before and during the battle for the Allspark, she won't be able to take the loss of someone who truly cares. Optimus could feel this and decided that he wouldn't let his sister feel this way. And he may have just gained her, but he would hate to lose her.
"However, some bonded pairs can shield their side of the bond to protect the other from meeting their end," Optimus spoke up, "And while not many mechs and femmes are bonded because of the war, that doesn't stop them from making plans to bond with their intended when the war is over."
Knowing what her brother was doing, Abelia grinned and latched onto the attempt to cheer her up.
"So that means when the war is over, there's going to be many bondings happening," Abelia grinned.
"Oh so many," Jazz jumped in with a laugh, "We might as well have all da bondings take place in one day just ta git it ova wit'!"
"That's going to be a one-long day," Ironhide grumbled.
"You've got no room to speak Ironhide," Bumblebee laughed.
"Mute it youngling," Ironhide barked at the scout, but Abelia and Will were able to read between the lines. In unison, they turned to each other, big grins spreading across their faces as they turn back to the dashboard.
"Ironhide, are you-," Will started, eyes filled with mirth and a grin across his face.
"Sparkmated," Abelia finished, jittering in her seat as she hoped Ironhide would give her a confirmed answer.
Ironhide sighed, air blowing through the AC units and onto Will's and Abelia's faces, but they were busy waiting for an answer.
"Yes. I am sparkmated to a femme named Chromia."
Abelia laughed, holding her chest as she leaned back into her seat. Will only chuckled, but he patted the stirring wheel. Will might not have known Ironhide for long, but he knew that whoever Chromia was, Ironhide clearly loved her with how he mentioned her. It was like how he would speak about Sarah.
"She must be some lady then if she's bonded to you then," Will voiced.
Ironhide laughed in agreement, "You bet! In fact, she's a weapons specialist and bodyguard!"
"A perfect match for you then," Will teased.
Ironhide huffed as the other Autobot's laughter came through the commlink, but Will could tell that it was good-natured. Ironhide then thought of something and grinned evilly, through you couldn't see it, you could definitely hear it when he spoke up next.
"I agree with you, Will. It's also much like Optimus's bond with Elita-One," Ironhide said, chuckling evilly all the while.
"Ironhide," Optimus cried out, but the damage was done. Abelia had stopped laughing and had sat up so fast that Will thought she'd given herself whiplash. Abelia was staring at the dashboard with a look that held betrayed amusement.
"Optimus! Your sparkmated," Abelia exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement.
Hesitantly, the Prime answered, "Yes."
"When were you going to tell me!?"
"Um, later? I felt you would like to hear about Elita when we had more time to talk rather than a couple of minutes."
Abelia thought it over for a second before replying, "Okay, I'll give you that, but I want to hear about her. You're not getting out of this!"
"I have a feeling that I won't be," Optimus sighed good-naturedly.
"I thought yo' would need a Rescue Bot ta save yo' Optimus," Jazz laughed.
"Rescue Bot. What's a Rescue Bot," Abelia asked, leaping onto something else new about her other side's history.
"Rescue Bots are a team of Cybertronians primarily designed to serve as a rescue team, like your emergency responders. Their frames are built differently than us, their transformations much more simple and faster since they have to be able to switch forms quickly. Only Rescue Bots can train others to become Rescue Bots. Before the war, they answered calls for help regardless of rank, even though they were only Beta Rank," Optimus explained.
"I'm guessing the High Council didn't like that as much," Will said, frowning a bit, having been informed about the High Council by Abelia.
"They didn't, but they couldn't do a thing since Rescue Bots were so popular and loved," Ironhide said.
"Hey, Ratchet! Didn't Rescue Bots save yo' long before da war," Jazz asked the Medic.
"Yes. I was a Noble Elite before a group of them saved my life and brought me to a team of Medics. It was because of all of them I decided to become a Medic," Ratchet said.
"Oh wow. So we have to thank them for you being here," Abelia grinned.
"Oh, quiet kid."
Abelia giggled, and Ratchet didn't have it in him to be annoyed at her. She was really good at that.
"How about after the War? You didn't say anything about that," Will asked.
The Autobots all seemed to sigh, sadness and anger filling the air and with Abelia's bond with Optimus.
"Rescue Bots were more durable than us cause of the many dangers they faced, but they didn't have any weapons. Regardless, they still did what they did best and saved others, different fractions are not," Ironhide said.
"They saved Autobots and Decepticons," Abelia said, surprised.
"Fractions didn't matter to them, they were saving lives, through when they saved Decepticons they called us Autobots to take them in. Rescue Force Sigma-17 even saved Megatron," Ironhide stated.
This startled Abelia and Will, making them gasp and their eyes widen.
"What," Will breathed out, shocked.
"They found Megatron unconscious and injured due to a failed assignation attempt from some of his own Decepticons who felt they would lead better than him, but they got lucky he just got out of a battle injured. They healed him and called us to take him. But before we can get there, Megatron woke up and pulled his cannon at them, but he left them alone since they saved him," Optimus explained.
"He did," Abelia said, surprised.
"Yes. Megatron actually ordered his Decepticons to leave Rescue Bots alone since they helped Decepticons, even though none of them joined him. They were a neutral party that helped both sides. However, not all Decepticons agreed with that order and believed Rescue Bots to be weak and traitors since they also helped us."
"Oh no," Abelia breathed, sadness coming to her eyes when she realized where this was heading. Will did as well because he remembered that Rescue Bots didn't have weapons.
"That Decepticon group attacked any Rescue Bots Unit they came across, killing them all. When we realized this, we protected as many of them as we could, trying our best to get them to safety. However, the damage was done. Thousands of Rescue Bots fell that day. After that, some Rescue Bots became Autobots while those who didn't decide to stay neutral were transported off-planet and to one of Cybrtronian's sister planets to survive. Now, there are only under fifty Rescue Bots left."
Abelia and Will didn't say anything for about a minute, taking in what they just learned. Abelia was angry, her fist clutched tightly. How dare those Decepticons kill those Rescue Bots?! They did nothing to the Decepticons. They saved their lives, and they still killed them!
Will noticed this and placed a hand on Abelia's shoulder trying to anchor her. Optimus felt her anger and sent soothing motions to calm her down. Abelia sighed, feeling her anger ebb away.
"You said Megatron ordered his Con's not to attack Rescue Bots. How'd he take this," Will asked, curiously burning at him.
"Oh, he was beyond mad. He called the Decepticons who did the actions traitors and to be killed. They were hunted down and killed. Even he knew the good they've done for either side. Plus, the Rescue Force that saved him went missing that same day the attacks happened. They are believed to be dead," Bumblebee said.
"After that day, I decided to have the Autobot symbol be similar to the Rescue Bot symbol to honor the fallen. Many Autobots agreed, so we wouldn't forget," Optimus explained.
Abelia fingered at the choker around her neck, brushing her fingers against the symbol resting in the middle of it. It wasn't just a symbol for the Autobots, but a reminder of the Cybertronians that saved others regardless of rank and side. Abelia could see why Optimus choose to have the Autobot Symbol be modeled after the Rescue Bot Symbol.
"I'm sorry," Will said, not knowing what else to say.
"It's not your fault. There's a Priority Prime that I can send out for any Rescue Bots, but I haven't sent one out since their fall," Optimus revealed.
Abelia blinked, soundlessly gasping when images of four Cybertronians, colored red, blue, green, and yellow, and a ship floating around in space filtered through her mind. She could see them sleeping in these giant tubes, their eyes closed as their ship floats through space.
She shook her head and brought a hand up to it.
"You okay, youngling," Ironhide asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Abelia said, deciding to keep when she just saw to herself for now.
"All this talking speed up time because we're here," Ironhide said, seeing the Lennox house when he came up over the hill.
Will took a deep breath as Ironhide parked near the front of the house, the other Autobots parking around to the side. He sat there, looking at the house like he was dreaming. Abelia touched his arm, making Will jump.
"Will, you alright," Abelia asked, looking at the man.
"I feel like I'm dreaming," Will admitted, not moving his gaze from the house, "I feel like I'm about to wake up back at Hoover Dam or Qatar."
Abelia hummed, "I believe that's understandable."
Will took an even bigger breath, "My wife is in there waiting for me, but also my little girl. I've only seen her through a video screen. I'm really going to see her through. I'm going to hold her. It's all settling in right now."
Abelia smiled, "Will, you fought to get back to them. I think it's time to hold your wife in a tight hug and hold your baby girl for the first time."
At that moment, a blonde-haired woman opened the door to the house, holding a baby in her arms. Abelia could recognize Sarah from her visions. Sarah was looking at the vehicles warily, narrowed eyes over them as she made her way over to the thick pillar near the steps to the house and leaned against it. Will started chuckling, making Abelia glance at him.
"What," Abelia asked.
"There's a hidden gun behind the pillar and within Sarah's reach. I put it there a while ago."
Abelia blinked for a second and started laughing. She gave Will a mocking glare, "And I suppose there are hidden weapons all around the house?"
"What can I say? I'm a military man," Will defended.
Abelia laughed and the Autobots chuckled along. They knew this was important for the Major now that he was home. Reaching into the back seats to grab Will's duffel bag, Abelia pushed Will's shoulder as she tossed the duffel bag to him, pointing at the door.
"Now go before I ask Ironhide to open the door and eject you out," Abelia exclaimed.
"And I'll do it," Ironhide gleefully informed.
Will huffed, raising his hands. "Okay, okay, I'm going."
Will opened the door and stepped out, Ironhide closing the door behind him. Will seemed to braced himself for a moment before turning to the house and started walking up to it. Abelia and the Autobots knew the moment Sarah saw that it was her husband.
Her eyes went big and her mouth went wide. Tears were already starting to form as a smile broke across her face. She looked like the world just returned to her and even though they couldn't see his face, they were pretty sure Will's was the same.
Sarah moved fast, holding onto her baby as she speed-walked to her husband. Will dropped his duffle bag and hugged her. Abelia smiled at the sight, though she looked away to give them some privacy.
"You okay," Ironhide asked, sounding a bit worried.
"I'm fine," Abelia replied, "I'm just giving them some privacy."
Sarah pulled away from Will, holding onto him.
"I knew it. I knew you were alive," Sarah said, grinning, "I knew you were coming back."
Will grinned back at her, "I have two beautiful girls to return to."
Sarah chuckled, looking down at Annabelle, "Speaking of girls."
Sarah held out Annabelle to Will, the baby staring at her father. Will smiled, picking up his daughter. The baby made some babbling and coos, her hands touching her father's face curiously. Will smiled, nuzzling his daughter's face. Annabelle made a cute smile and laughed. Will laughed at the sound, having a delight.
Sarah smiled at the sight, but she turned her head to look at the five colorful vehicles that her husband brought home. Will held his daughter in his arms as he followed Sarah's gaze, looking at the Autobots in disguise.
"Are those your new friends," Sarah asked.
"Yep. Allow me to introduce you to one of them," Will stated before he shouted, "Hey, Abelia! Why don't you come out and say hello?!"
From within Ironhide, Abelia sighed, opening the door and setting a foot outside. She paused, slightly worried for a moment.
"Abelia, you'll be fine. You don't have to worry," Optimus's voice came through the commlink right after that, sensing her worry through their still new bond.
Abelia huffed, "It's not me I'm worried about."
After getting out of the rest of the way, Abelia gently closed Ironhide's door and walked over to the newly reunited wife and husband. She could see Sarah looking her over, taking in her appearance. When she got close enough, Will gestured with his hand at his wife and daughter.
"Abelia, this is Sarah and Annabella," he said before turning to his wife, "Sarah, this is Abelia Witwicky."
"It's nice to meet you," Sarah spoke, "Will said you saved his life."
Abelia chuckled, "Nice to meet you and well, he saved mine."
Sarah smiled and hugged Abelia, making the teen gasp in shock. She stared at Will as the man smiled, nodding his head at his wife. Abelia slowly hugged Sarah back as the woman held her tighter.
"Thank you," Sarah said, "Thank you for helping him get home."
Abelia smiled as Sarah pulled away, wiping tears from her eyes. Sarah laughed as she took another look at Abelia.
"Will didn't tell me everything about you, saying face-to-face was better," Sarah smirked, "But he could have mentioned that you liked the color purple."
Abelia laughed, shaking her head and gesturing to her clothes, "Actually, the color is lavender."
Sarah gave her a mock glare, "Well, it's the same thing color! Just a different name!"
The three of them laughed. Sarah looked over at the Autobots again and pointed. "Aren't your other friends going to join us or are they going to sit in their cars and trucks all day?"
This made Will and Abelia stop laughing and made them look at each other. It was time to tell Sarah, but the problem was to figure out how to tell her. Both of them were giving the other a look saying, I'm-not-telling-her-you-are look.
Sarah looked between the both of them, an eyebrow being raised as the woman stared between Will and Abelia. Sarah lifted her head and crossed her arms.
"Okay, tell me what's up. What was it about your five friends that you couldn't tell me over the screen?"
Will sighed and gestured over to the steps of the pouch. "You may want to sit."
Will, Sarah, and Abelia all sat down on the porch steps. Will adjusted his grip on his daughter so that she sat across his legs, keeping an arm wrapped around her to keep her balanced. Sarah sat next to him, her hip touching his and a hand touching his free arm. Abelia sat on the other side of Sarah, leaning against the pillar, arms crossed.
After staring at the Autobots for a couple of seconds, Abelia looked at Sarah. "I guess we'll start at the beginning. And it starts with me in class one Friday afternoon during the last class of the day when I suddenly had a vision."
The discussion lasted for 30 minutes between explaining and answering questions. During that time when Sarah was distracted, Abelia spoke with Optimus through their bond, telling him that the Autobots could slowly move in their vehicle's forms so that when they transformed, they had room. The plan was to have Jazz transform first since he was the smallest, rather than Optimus since his height made him look intimidating.
When they were all done, Sarah was quiet. She looked between Abelia and Will like she expected them to start laughing and saying that it was a joke. When they didn't, she sighed and looked up and blinked when she saw that the 'vehicles' had moved from their previous places.
"So, these vehicles are giant metal aliens," Sarah said once more to confirm what she just learned as she stared at the Autobots in confusion.
"Yes, Sarah. Listen, I know that it may seem unbelievable, but I've seen it. I've seen them," Will said, gesturing over at the Autobots with his head, "And with your permission, we can introduce you."
"He's not making it up," Abelia stated as a way of helping.
Sarah nodded, looking at the disguised aliens. "Okay, introduce me."
"Jazz, your up."
At Abelia's words, Jazz started transforming. The moment he did, Sarah gasped, hand flying to her chest and mouth in pure shock. Within seconds, Jazz was standing before them. He held his hands up in a show of good faith as he slowly knelt after he took a couple of steps away from his friends so they would have some room. Abelia placed a hand on Sarah's shoulder as a means to brace her.
"Sarah Lennox, meet the Autobot Saboteur, Jazz."
Jazz nodded his head and said, "Hello, Sarah Lennox. Will told us 'bout yo'."
Sarah gaped at Jazz, but after a couple of seconds when the words registered, she blinked and shook her head. Slowly bringing up a hand to wave and say, "Um hi?"
Will and the Autobots grinned. Seems like Sarah shared a lot with her husband. Will cleared his throat as he pointed to the Autobots, looking at Abelia as he did so. She huffed, but smiled and gestured back to the Autobots.
"And this is their scout, Bumblebee, their Medic, Ratchet, their weapon specialist, Ironhide, and finally their leader, Optimus Prime."
When each Autobot was named, they started transforming, revealing their true selves before Sarah Lennox. When they were done. They knelt done to give the woman some adjustment to their rather large height. Abelia looked back at Sarah and saw that the woman looked less in shock now and was now leaning more to being amazed.
Will was staring at his wife, hoping that her reaction was a good one. Baby Annabelle was staring at the giant metal beings curiously. Sarah took a deep breath and stood up. The woman seemed to brace herself as she looked over the Autobots.
"Just to let you know, when I pictured meeting aliens, you are the last being I pictured, much less at all," Sarah admitted, smiling at the Autobots.
Sarah's response made the Autobots blink in shock and surprise, their mouths open and optics shining in clear wonderment. Their reactions made Abelia laugh, which wasn't helped when Optimus's emotions flowed through their bond, making her laugh even harder. Will grinned, standing up and nudged his wife.
"Um, thanks for the compliment," Bumblebee said, the poor scout still surprised.
Will laughed, "That's my wife for you. Shocking people with her comments."
Sarah turned to Will, gesturing to the house. "We need to talk."
Abelia, pausing in her laughter, winced at the comment. Will seemed to be wanting to fade into the ground.
Still, he handed Annabelle to Abelia and followed his wife inside the house. Abelia watched them enter the house before she turned back to the Autobots, Annabelle playing with Abelia's hair and also trying to eat it.
"Well," Abelia said dryly, "At least she didn't faint."
Will & Sarah
"Well, this is surprising," Sarah spoke as they entered the living room, "I'm glad I didn't faint."
Will laughed, running a hand through his hair. "You're telling me. I'm just glad you didn't start screaming."
"I can see why you wanted to tell me in person and not over a screen."
Will grinned, "They're pretty amazing aren't they?"
Sarah smiled and nodded, "I'm not gonna lie, this is pretty amazing. Heck, they're pretty amazing! But-" Sarah frowned, "If the Autobots are that large, that means the Decepticons are too."
Will frowned and nodded, not saying a word.
"And you're going to fight against them," Sarah said, worried, "After what the Decepticons did to Qatar?"
This time, Will spoke up, "Yes, they are, but the Autobots will be there. Not only that, we killed one of them. The Decepticons aren't going to leave us alone. Abelia is going to be targeted now because of what she is and what she has done. Trust me when I say this, Sarah, the Autobots are trying to protect us from the Decepticons. But they need humans they trust to be by their side. My team and I proved that they can trust us."
Sarah was silent as she went over what her husband said. She looked over at the window, where she could see the Autobots and Abelia on the porch.
"Okay," Sarah nodded, "I'll be an idiot to pass up a chance to befriend real nice aliens."
Will laughed, "Well, I didn't marry an idiot."
Sarah hit Will's chest as the man laughed. Sarah joined him in laughter as they made their back outside to join the others. Sarah nudged her husband to get his attention.
"Through where can the Autobots stay? They're too big for the house," Sarah asked.
Will smiled, "Well, we do have those two barns out back that are in perfect shape and never use. They're big enough."
Before Will, opened the door, Sarah paused and turned around. Will watched as Sarah grabbed a camera. She grinned, "I'm taking a picture. I don't care if I need to hide this camera from the world, I'm not missing the chance."
Will only shook his head and smiled.
Abelia & Autobots
As Will and Sarah were in the house, Abelia stood in front of the Autobots holding Annabelle in her arms. The baby was playing with Abelia's bangs that covered her eye, tugging and moving them left to right. Abelia chuckled as Annabelle started to gum on her hair, making her gently pry her hair out of the baby's hands and mouth.
"Hey now, you can't eat my hair," Abelia laughed, nuzzling Annabelle's nose with her own. Annabelle let out a little laugh, making Abelia grin instantly.
A feeling so strong flowed through Abelia's sibling bond, one she couldn't identify right away. However, the feeling did make her look up. What she saw made her freeze.
All the Autobots were staring at Annabelle, their optics wide with curiosity, amazement, and some soft emotion that Abelia could see as compassion. And she was sure that they all leaned down to peer closer at the baby. They were all enraptured by Annabelle.
Abelia paused for a second and then turned Annabelle so she sat with her back against Abelia's chest and her face looking at the Autobots. Abelia bit her lip because, at that very moment, the Autobot's optics went all, "Aww". It was so fricking cute.
"Guy's, why are you staring at Annabelle like that," Abelia asked, rather curious.
"Annabelle," Ratchet spoke, his voice soft as he looked at the baby, "Is that the sparklings name?"
"Sparkling? What's a-" Abelia paused mid-question, figuring it out herself, "Oh, sparkling is the Cyertronian equivalent for baby."
"And botling would be the Cyertronian equivalent for a child," Bumblebee added, still staring at Annabelle.
Ratchet, not looking away from Annabelle, spoke, "The age rate is faster, much like a human's because their systems will get used to everything."
Abelia just stared as the Autobots watched Annabelle stare at them, Annabelle making movements with her hands and little sounds as well. It was like they never laid eyes, or optics in this case, on a baby before. At that thought, another entered her mind. Maybe they have seen a baby before, but it was just a very long time.
At this, Abelia looked up at Optimus, "How long has it been since you've all seen a baby?"
"A long time. The war had killed many and those that survived were sent off-planet. Bumblebee only stayed with us because he was old enough and he formed a Guardian bond with Ironhide. Sending him away would've harmed him."
Abelia felt more than pity for the Autobots right then, she also felt sadness. To go so long without seeing a sparkling or botling of their kind, Abelia can't even begin to describe what they could be feeling at seeing Annabelle.
"You can hold your finger out to her," Abelia said, the Autobots finally looking away from Annabelle to look at Abelia, "Just be careful. Babies are fragile during this time of their lives. Don't make sudden moves, go slow. She might get startled and start to cry. And go one at a time or you'll confuse her."
With that info in their heads, the Autobots looked back at Annabelle. Abelia chuckled as the Autobots looked confused as to who should go first.
"Bumblebee, you first. We'll go on from there," Abelia stated.
Slowly, Bumblebee moved his metal pointer finger until it was in front of Annabelle and within her reach. Annabelle instantly reached up and placed her tiny hands-on Bumblebee's finger.
"She's so small," Bumblebee said in wonder.
Abelia chuckled, "She was smaller than this awhile ago. But she'll grow. All babies do."
Abelia watched as Annabelle leaned forward, placing her mouth on Bumblebee's finger, making little cooing sounds. The scout jerked his head back, careful not to move his finger.
"What's she doing," Bumblebee asked, alarmed.
Abelia smiled, "One of the things about babies is that they are curious about everything, and most of the time they wonder if they can eat it. But the most she can do right now is gum on your finger."
"Oh."
Abelia giggled, "Jazz, wanna go?"
"Yes," Jazz exclaimed, but thankful remembered to keep his voice down. Bumblebee carefully moved his finger away so Jazz moved his clawed finger in place.
"Keep the point facing down," Abelia advised and Jazz listened, turning the point of his clawed finger to face the ground. Annabelle played with Jazz's finger, finding the grooves and babbling.
"What is she sayin'," Jazz asked.
Abelia shrugged, "I don't know. Babies at this age babble before they start learning how to speak. But I think she's finding you guy's interesting."
Abelia let Jazz play with Annabelle for a bit longer before she looked at Ratchet, "Your up, Sparkie."
Ratchet grumbled at the nickname, but he moved his finger to replace Jazz's finger. Annabelle started tapping Ratchet's finger with her hand, making the Medic smile.
"I wish you all can hold her, but it's so much of a risk. If we were the same height, maybe it would be easier," Abelia says, finding a con with their height difference. Ratchet hummed an idea filtering through his head. Maybe he could make a way.
"Ironhide," Abelia asked, looking at the Mech in question. Ironhide shook his head and looked at Optimus.
"Let him go," Ironhide said.
Abelia nodded and looked at Optimus. The Autobot leader moved his finger down as Ratchet moved his finger away. Annabelle let out a baby giggle, making Abelia grin as well as the Autobots.
"Well, she feels safe otherwise she wouldn't be doing all this," Abelia commented.
"What would she be doing," Optimus asked as Annabelle studied his finger.
"Crying and screaming," Abelia shrugged, "Babies are sensitive when it comes to emotions. If they feel too much of something they don't understand, they'll cry or seek someone they trust. But if they are with someone they trust, they will do things with them that they don't with others, like falling asleep on them or just random baby things."
Optimus hummed, making Annabelle look at him. Optimus hummed again, making Annabelle make a baby smile. Optimus grinned, the smile proving that even the Cybertronian race can't resist a baby's smile.
"Ironhide, your turn," Abelia said.
Optimus moved his finger away, allowing Ironhide to move his finger in front of Annabelle.
Annabelle played with Ironhide's finger, but she also looked up at Ironhide's face. Not knowing what to do, Ironhide made an award smile. Whatever he was expecting, Annabelle, breaking out in a burst of adorable baby laughter was not it.
"Well, someone made her happy," Abelia grinned, "Must be the Tooth Fairy in you."
"Mute it youngling," Ironhide huffed as his friends quietly laughed, "Your lucky you have a sparkling in front of you."
"Baby," Bumblebee corrected.
"Same thing, different name," Ironhide shot back.
Annabelle then did something that surprise them: she leaned forward and pressed her mouth against Ironhide's finger, pulled back, and then did it again. At once, Abelia realized what Annabelle was doing and lost it. "Awwww, she's giving you baby kisses! There must be something about you she likes!"
"Wha..(cough)..what do you mean," Ironhide asked after clearing his throat at Abelia's comment and the fact Annabelle seemed to like him.
Before Abelia could reply, someone answered right behind her.
"Because babies are good judges of character and if they dislike something about you, they will let you know," came the voice of Sarah.
Abelia looked behind her, seeing Will and Sarah were at the doorway. Both of them were smiling at the sight of Annabelle with the Autobots.
"Well Optimus, if Sarah had any doubts, they're gone now," Abelia thought through their bond.
"I can agree to that," was her reply.
It was then Abelia noticed the camera in Sarah's hands and the massive grin on her face. When Sarah spoke, you could hear the victory in her voice, "I don't care if I need to hide the memory chip from the rest of my family and the world. I'm not losing this video. This is better than a picture."
Abelia just laughed, agreeing. Mostly because she wanted to watch it later.
Later That Afternoon
Will and Sarah showed the Autobots the barns, which they decided to share since they won't all fit in one, the two adult humans showed their guests the backyard view, which showed a massive countryside of fields and trees, as well as a setting sun.
"Wow, what a sight," Jazz commented at the setting sun.
"Does Cybertron have suns," Abelia asked.
"It does. It's just different with oh Cybertron is now," Ratchet explained.
"Well, I hope ours measures up to yours," Sarah said, "Now, it's getting late and I need to put Annabelle down for bed soon. Will can show Abelia where everything is."
"Sure," Will agreed before he wrapped his arms around his wife, "Let's just stay right here for a couple more minutes."
Sarah didn't say anything, letting Will hold her and Annabelle. Abelia smiled at the sight of the reunited couple before her gaze traveled to the Autobots. They had split, each going to a different area.
Ratchet was holding Bumblebee by his upper arm and was scanning Bumblebee's throat area, most likely scanning his voice. Poor Bumblebee looked like he wanted to run and hide.
Jazz and Ironhide were watching, letting out little laughs, but stopped when Ratchet looked at them. It was clear that they were next. Ratchet was going to check them all out even when he did so already just to make sure they were okay.
Jazz and Ironhide turned, walking away a good couple of yards, but Abelia has been with the Autobots long enough to know that Ratchet will give chase.
She turned her gaze away to search for Optimus and found him overlooking the scenery. She walked over to him, his head turning to her when he sensed her close.
"I talked to Keller. He's agreed to letting me call more Autobots," Optimus told her.
Abelia blinked, "What? When?"
"A couple of minutes ago when I called him through his phone."
"You can do that," Abelia asked, surprised.
"Yes. It was rather easy. He did say I should keep what I just did to himself and not let other Autobots do it unless it's an emergency."
Abelia thought about that and realized where Keller was coming from. Some people would want to use that for their own ends. It would be wise to keep it secret, or at least hidden.
"Yeah, I would listen to that advice," Abelia spoke.
Optimus hummed. Abelia bit her lip, thinking about what she saw earlier, and believed that she should tell her brother.
"When we were talking about Rescue Bots, I saw something. It was flashes, pictures like before. It showed a red bot, blue bot, yellow bot, and a green bot who appeared to be sleeping," Abelia told him.
Optimus focused on her, kneeling down to be closer. "And you saw this while we were talking about Rescue Bots?"
"Yes," Abelia nodded, "After you mentioned a Priority Prime message. I think you should."
Optimus thought about it before he nodded, "I think I will. Thank you for telling me."
Abelia smiled, hoping good will come out of it. She turned to look out at the setting sun. Humming loudly, she waved bye to Optimus she started walking away, heading over to a lone tree. Optimus watched her, a smile growing on his face as Abelia started to sing.
Abelia-
In this farewell there's no blood, there's no alibi.
'Cause I've drawn regret from the truth of a thousand lies.
So let mercy come and wash away-
Standing up, Optimus watched as Abelia leaned against the tree. He smiled as he watched her hold out her hands, Allspark energy flowing through her fingers. As he watched her, he started creating the message he would send to the other Autobots.
"With the AllSpark choosing a Vessel, we cannot return life to our planet until she learns how to use her power," Optimus began, "But in the meantime, fate has yielded its reward."
What I've done!
I'll face myself to cross out what I've become!
Erase myself and let go of what I've done!
Abelia raised her hands as she created two transparent orbs that sparked. They popped, making sparks and flowing lights causing Abelia to grin.
"A new world to call home. We live among its people now, hiding in plain sight, but watching over them in secret, waiting, protecting," Optimus looked over at his Autobots and saw that Ratchet had released Bumblebee, but was now going after Jazz, the silver Mech having climbed a tree to escape the Medic.
"I have witnessed their capacity for courage. And though we are worlds apart," he looked down, peering at Will, the soldier who fought alongside him to return to family and protect his friends. He turned his gaze back to Abelia as she created more transparent orbs, "Like us, there's more to them... than meets the eye."
Put to rest what you thought of me.
While I clean this slate with the hands of uncertainty.
So let mercy come and wash away-
Optimus looked up at the sky, putting his hands on his hip plates, "I am Optimus Prime. And I send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars. We are here. We... are waiting."
After that message was sent, Optimus then sent one message he never thought he'll send after the Rescues Bots fall. He sent a Priority Prime. "I have a message for all Autobots scattered throughout the galaxies. Through Cybertron has fallen, we still stand. Follow these coordinates to join us. Priority Prime."
What I've done!
I'll face myself to cross out what I've become!
Erase myself and let go of what I've done!
After both messages were sent, Optimus put his hands down and looked down to watch Abelia. It seemed she had created more transparent orbs but was now seemly trying to make to follow her hands in wave motions. After they all followed her hands, she made them all burst, creating a beautiful arch of sparks and flowing energy. Abelia grinned big at her success.
For what I've done, I start again.
And whatever pain may come.
Today this ends.
I'm forgiving what I've done!
The sparks fell to the ground while the flowing energy fell in zig-zags. Abelia stood in the middle of it all, tilting her head back and closing her eyes, letting the Allspark energy hit her face. The smile on Abelia's face grew small as she opened her eyes, her gaze meeting Optimus's. She nodded and raised her hands, creating more transparent orbs.
I'll face myself to cross out what I've become!
Erase myself and let go of what I've done!
Abelia threw the orbs in the air and then created more. Sarah watched all this in amazement, having learned it when Will and Abelia told her everything, but this was amazing to see. Will watched, amazed even though he saw what she did before. Annabelle kept batting at the sparks and flowing energy, giggling when she touched them tickled her.
(Na-na na na!)
(Na-na na na!)
(Na-na na na!)
What I've done!
(Na-na na na!)
(Na-na na na!)
(Na-na na na!)
At this time, the other Autobots noticed Abelia's little show, watching as she made all the transparent orbs burst as one, creating sparks and flowing energy all over the place. Abelia turned in a slow circle, looking at what she made.
Forgiving what I've done!
(Na-na na na!)
(Na-na na na!)
(Na-na na na!)
(Na-na na na!)
Abelia grinned, looking at her friends with success written all on her face. Will and Sarah clapped while the Autobots let out small cheers.
"You are already learning," Optimus smiled, walking over and kneeling down to be close to his sister, "That was a nice sight to see. Good job."
"It was a nice show," Will added, which was followed by Sarah saying, "I'd never seen anything like it."
Abelia smiled at the comments. Before she could say anything, there was a loud CRUNCH and then a shout.
"YOU SLAGGING IDIOT!"
The group turned, looking at the sight before them. Apparently, Jazz tried to escape while Ratchet was distracted, but the force he used to jump off the tree broke it, causing the tree to fall on Ironhide, the Mech now glaring at Jazz with anger and fury.
"YOU HIT ME WITH A TREE!"
Jazz grinned, holding up his hands, "Yo' were in da way."
With a roar, Ironhide started chasing Jazz, the Saboteur laughing a running away with ease. Bumblebee made a wise choice and moved to stand beside Optimus. Sarah looked at Ratchet, who did nothing.
"Aren't you going to do something," Sarah asked the Medic.
Ratchet shrugged, "If they get injured doesn't matter. I have to check them anyway."
Abelia laughed, wrapping her arms around her chest.
Up In Space
While Optimus's message was making its way to his Autobots and trying to stop his weapons specialist from injuring his Saboteur, two different things were happening at the same time in different areas.
On some small ship in space, two Decepticons were cowering for their lives as the being they give their reports to went into a rage, destroying anything in sight that wasn't important.
Meanwhile, further away, another ship flew through space, its controller pausing at what they were doing to focus on what they were feeling. When they recognized it, their optics widen in shock.
"The Allspark has chosen a Vessel," they spoke in shock before they feel something else and let out another shocking noise pass from their lips, "And it's another Seer."
Me: I hope this chapter was worth the wait.
This chapter turned out exactly what I wanted it to. I got a question for you all. Want do you want Abelia to do with her powers? I can't promise it will happen, but some thoughts will be nice.
Also, who do you think it is at the end? I want to know what you think.
I hope you enjoyed the chapter!
