Well, hey there again. Three months exactly. Real sorry for the wait guys. Lots of personal stuff happened, with some professional stuff on the side but fear not! I have not abandoned the story! Thank you to all the new favs, follows and reviews that came over the passing months. I'm so glad folks liked what happened with Monty and are really warming up to him too! How about that new "Ruin" DLC eh? Looking pretty snazzy! I still would like the option to choose one of the Glamrocks but I suppose we'll have to see. I'm excited nonetheless to see what Steel Wool will do! Only this time... take your time and don't listen to the rabid fans who want everything out pronto, alright guys? Happy it's free too. Anyway, grab a snack and let's continue!

My Racingstar Chapter Seven
The clock was ticking nearer to 4:00 AM and both Glamrock Chica and Roxanne Wolf were still standing right outside their fellow animatronic: Montgomery Gator's attraction, uncharacteristically silent as they waited for both Gregory and Monty to emerge from the entrance.
The two were very unsure and afraid of what the outcome would be from the child going in to converse with their bandmate alone.
The two Glamrocks always wanted to help their other bandmates in time of need but Monty was a different case altogether... Despite them being close and they all were pretty close, that couldn't be denied, Monty had always felt like the outsider of the group. Of course, in the months that had past they were able to close that gap more and more but there always was something keeping a friction between the three from the Glamrock gator. He just never really opened up too much to them. There was a time they could say that eventually they'd all come together and understand one another but because of what happened… that hope had seemingly been dashed…
The only one that could really help and understand Monty was Bonnie and he wasn't around anymore...
The whole ordeal made Roxy and Chica, particularly the latter, worthless. The fact that they couldn't talk to help their friend get through what was eating away at him these last few months with the only thing they could do for him being, leaving him alone when he went into one of his moods was simply sad... The least they could do was not say anything relating to Bonnie and not talking too much about the green gator's mood swings. At least they could do that for their dear friend...
But now this entire mucked up insane situation had just brought out every worse thing in the PizzaPlex and it was something that they were now forced to deal with. They had hope that even if they couldn't do much for Monty, Gregory hopefully could but even then... doubt and fear were still fresh in their minds. They'd find out in just a few minutes… They hoped.
Suddenly however, their nervous expressions turned to relief when the metal Security door rose and out walked Monty and Gregory. Both bore normal looks though the green gator's had a bit more weariness to it, not meeting his friends gaze which got his fellow two Glamrocks to ponder what had gone on behind the closed doors.
Silence then became the standard. An awkward and aloof atmosphere had taken over with just a bit of tension overhead.
"Monty?" Chica broke it.
Monty finally looked up.
"I… told him the truth..." He uttered.
"You did?" Roxy's brow raised in surprise.
"Yeah..."
"And... how do you feel?" Chica asked.
"I... I don't really know..." Monty replied, almost stoic.
"Monty?"
No reply from the green gator who responded by looking down at the floor again and putting his hand to his face to cover his expression "I'm sorry..."
"Monty, please... It wasn't your fault..." At the edge of his mouth, you could see the Glamrock gator slightly bare his teeth in angst. "You don't have to keep it from us…" Chica tried to reach out.
"We hate seeing you get so pent up all the time for it... Even Freddy... Let it go man…" Said Roxy.
Monty's face tensed from the memories and the emotion that was coming back from remembering. Gregory couldn't believe it; he was hearing the gator crying out in the open.
But then, as Monty was about to speak he reacted in shock when his two bandmates' arms wrapped around him into a group hug.
"We miss him too, Monty... and we know you did everything you could." Chica's words comforted him.
"He'd be proud of you man." Roxy said sincerely. Slowly the gator nodded and accepted the hugs of his friends as they all embraced each other like a family.
As they did, Monty remembered a single moment when he had finally been brought out of his self-wallowing by his friend.
"Always remember Mont. We'll always be there for you, just like you are here for us."
"(Thanks Bon. For everything. You rest easy man.)"
After breaking the hug, briefly and suddenly, Roxy's eyes thought they spotted something coloured, out in the corner of her view. It made the silver wolf stunned for a moment but a voice in motion swiftly brought her back.
"…and Gregor, you made this possible for me. I can't thank you enough man." Monty finished.
"The kid is a wonder right Roxy?" Chica asked her bandmate who played off what just happened and smiled back.
"Yeah, for sure. Helping getting you guys back to normal."
"It wasn't just him. DJ & Lil' helped a bunch too and so did you guys. Thanks for never giving up on me." Monty said sincerely to his two bandmates which got their cheeks to slightly heat up from embarrassment, particularly the silver wolf.
"Ay, ay just don't make this a regular sentimental crud thing alright? There're only so much happy vibes a girl like me can take before I lose it…" Roxy sighed which got the others to laugh and Chica to give the Glamrock wolf a playful hug in surprise. "Chi… I swear… You never listen to me."
"What? You like the happy vibes, don't you?" Chica grinned at her best friend who let it slide as the pink chicken released her. "I'll make sure to give the Music boys a big hug when I see them too. Well... DJ will be giving the big hug more like." The others chuckled in response.
Gregory took a seat on the rimmed edge of the Monty Golf Logo and then looked at all three free Glamrocks, with his smile getting bigger each time he named, "Roxy, Chica Monty… And now all that's left is..."
"Freddy..." Roxy finished the sentence and the atmosphere suddenly turned grimmer. "Sorry to say that me and Chi had a search for him but even with my eyes, we found absolutely no trace. It's like the guy just vanished."
"You think that white cur could be hidin' him someplace?" Monty asked.
"She might be but I dunno. Literally we get two steps forward and three steps back." The youth sighed.
"Bet the flimsy rabby is laughing at us right now." Roxy growled.
"I remember... we were searching for Greg here... and before we passed out Vanny said something, "Welcome to the Cult..." do you remember it too Monty?" Chica eyed her friend.
"I hate to say that I do..." The Glamrock gator nodded back. "When Vanny did that cooky stuff on me... I kept having memories of Bonnie… Like I was really there like it was happening in real time. It was painful to remember and to even try to fight back but I did it because I didn't wanna hurt my friends or an innocent little kid like you man, even if you did trespass but I know you probably didn't plan on sticking around cause of that sneaky sucker rabbit."
"I had some similar stuff happen to me, memories of the past… humiliating things… But wait… there was something else she had on her… it was square shaped…" The Glamrock chicken tried her best to visualise.
"Was it a touch pad of some kind?" Asked Gregory.
"Touch pad, yeah! I think she pressed one of the buttons on it as me and Monty were searching for ya."
"Could that be the cause?" Mused Roxy.
"It's not the touch pad... At least I don't it is anyway... It would be too easy. No. I think the pad is just the stuff she is able to do after whatever this thing is, gains control. There's something else..."
Gregory thought back to the coincidences all to do with those certain arcade machines. The Princess Quest in the salon, the arcade storeroom and finally the one in Vanny's hideout... And with what he read from the logs about the arcade machines but the ones to do with Princess Quest in particular... It was a long stretch but maybe it was the solution.
"We need to get back to Fazer Blast." Gregory said seriously.
"Why, what's there? I thought we were done? Do you think Freddy's there, like?" Asked Roxy.
"This will probably help Freddy too. The last time I was there I found Vanny's hideout we couldn't go in to follow up because... well... Chica..."
"My bad."
"It's okay. But anyway, there was an arcade machine in Vanny's room."
"And... what? What's so special about an arcade... Wait a minute, no. You might have something there, sport. You guys, do you remember the reports from certain S.T.A.F.F. members, like the arcades wouldn't shut off after being disconnected? It happened a few times but they tried to keep it under wraps." Roxanne addressed her two bandmates.
"Almost like they were running themselves. Yeah, yeah! I remember it now!" Chica chipped up.
"So, Gregor, you think this arcade in Vanny's has something special about it?"
"Yes. This is a big leap, so bear with me-" Gregory stopped mid-sentence when he noticed the three snickering.
"What?" He asked.
"You said bear with me…" Chica uttered through her snicker.
Gregory shot the trio of Glamrocks a disappointed look and they quickly stopped.
"Sorry sport, that was in bad taste. Continue (Sorry Fred)." Roxy apologised.
"Thanks but yeah, from everything that's been said, I think the virus that has infected you guys, is coming from the arcades."
"Like a sort of source?"
"Exactly."
"That is a bit of a leap there Greg but with all the weird stuff happening, that's not too hard to believe."
"Yeah, that balloon mini game for instance always seemed like it was watching folks, some people said. Maybe there's something inside it." Chica suggested.
"And that's the reason we have to go back. If we can get into Vanny's lair and I can get on it, I can find out what's happening, shut it down and maybe it'll break the corruption on Freddy and anything else in the place."
"And if it doesn't?" Chica asked.
"We lose and get trapped in here with her and security bots." Gregory deadpanned.
"Sounds like a hoot." Monty replied sarcastically.
"Hold up." Said Roxy. "Just in case, I think we should split up."
"Uh, Roxy, bad things happen when we split up." The pink chicken stated.
"Don't remind me but this is to find Freddy as well and I don't want us trialling about this entire place, going into each individual attraction one by one until our legs fall off and this way, we can divert the rabbit's attention. We'd go in twos, me and Greg, you and Mont, do frequent check-ups every ten minutes or so to keep track?"
"How'd we do the check-ups?" The green gator asked.
"It's okay we can use the Roxwatch to communicate?" Chica looked for approval, which got a nod from both Gregory and Roxy.
"Hold on… Roxwatch?" Monty repeated.
"Yes… Roxwatch." Roxy sighed. She knew what was coming.
"What about the all rights pendi-"
"Yes, yes, Monty, I've already told Chica. Just drop it..." She rolled her lenses.
"Just making sure. Company policy." Monty had a small smile forming.
"Whatever. Anyway, how about it?"
"Seems quite sound. Nice work on the planning man." Chica gave her a casual thumbs up.
"Gets my vote, despite the risks." Monty agreed. "I do want to get Freddy back as soon as possible so this is a good way to cover more ground. Let's get going the now Chi."
"On it man." Chica replied as she turned to follow Monty who was already making his way to the security door leading to Rockstar Row to the right of his own attraction.
"Sounds good. Hope you find him if we don't in Fazerblast." Gregory commented while smiling.
"All the best guys. Be careful." Said Roxy.
"See you Gregor."
"You better take good care of him Rox." Roxanne gave a small nod and both Chica and Monty bid their goodbyes to both and off they lightly sprinted but in those few seconds, Gregory picked up a slight twitch on the silver wolf.
"Better..." Roxy muttered but she quickly continued waving her friends off until they were gone.
After they got a good distance away, Roxanne crouched down to Gregory's level while folding her arms. "You, look like you need a good chill. Look at those circles under your eyes." The silver wolf said wily.
"It's that noticeable?" Gregory asked who quickly dropped the previous thought on his mind on Roxy's peculiar behaviour before.
"It's that noticeable." Roxy nodded back. "Yeesh. You look like me without my makeup."
"I still think you'd look pretty without it." Roxy's face warmed at the compliment but gave a toothy grin, as she stood straight again.
"Look at you, handin' out the charm. But seriously kid, you need a pick me up. You just take it easy, go on have a little sit down on that table over there and hold on a sec. 'K" she said with a wink and click of her fingers into a small pistol gesture as she began to head to one of the nearby food attractions.
"You won't be away too long, will you?" Gregory asked.
"I'm a wolf remember?" Roxy said back.
"Oh, yeah..." Gregory felt a bit dumb for asking in the first place and walked over to where Roxy pointed which was one of the many party tables in the middle section of the Atrium, he took a seat on the closest one to "Monty Golf" with the palm trees to the side and photo booths behind the table, opposite the show stage.
He didn't mind sitting on the Monty Golf logo but he guessed this was more appropriate.
Seeing the silver wolf make it to the food station: "Salads and sides", she soon returned with a drink in her hand. "I had an idea you weren't a salad type kid and we're a bit pressed for time, so I just got you this."
"What's this?" Gregory asked as he took the drink from Roxy's claw paw.
"A Monty Mystery Mix Slushy Syrup and that's a mouthful let me tell you." Gregory giggled as Roxy continued on her little tirade. "Seriously we had to be told that like fifty times to memorise... and we're supposed to have advanced memory! Some guy has a way with words, man... But try it. It's good, honest."
Gregory took a sip and nodded happily at its contents. "You were right! Better than most drinks you get at crummy places…" He commented continuing to slurp it happily, not noticing his friend had once again stopped and was just staring into space.
"Better..." Roxy muttered again however, she quickly regained sense, "Pizza flavoured." She chipped back in while Gregory rolled his eyes while continuing to drink and the sliver wolf took a seat next to him.
"I saw you were waiting for the both of them to leave so you could relax." Roxy showed her intuition which was correct when Gregory replied.
"Yeah, I was serious about finding and helping Freddy but… I am really tired. I know I can't sleep since we have work to do but still..."
"You've done a lot man. You should be proud of yourself." Roxanne patted the child's back gently while giving him a reassuring look.
"Thanks." Gregory smiled back hesitantly. He still thought he wasn't doing enough...
"Shame we couldn't get Moon or Sun for this. He'd be the right guy for the job." Roxy quickly spoke up again.
Gregory briefly flashed back to the incident earlier on with the Daycare animatronic. "Oh, yeah… I haven't seen him since I first met back up with Vanny again… She told him to go back to his area and stay there after shocking him. He looked sad afterwards but I don't know if we should ask him for help."
"I wouldn't try to Greg. Moon Sun, is a kooky and energetic guy. Probably turned up to eleven with this weird corruption thing. After the rabbit sent him packing, it's probably a good thing we don't go to see him. One last person to get involved. After all this is settled though, we'll try and help him for sure."
"You care about him?"
"Sure I do. He's a bit weird and quirky but he still is one of us. The situation is just really dire at the moment. Dire... didn't think I'd say that." Roxy tapped her noggin in slight bewilderment.
Gregory giggled. "Monty did a similar thing." Saying that and almost in no time flat, the youth had finished with his drink and walked to put it into the trash after. On his way back, he then noticed Roxy was now leaning against one of the photo booths as he did so, arms folded with a grin on her face.
"Has charm and once again the manners. What can't this kid do?"
"Shut up..." Gregory replied, his face now visibly flushed as he walked back.
Roxy simply snickered and gave him a small pat to the head, which the youth accepted but pouted his cheeks to show his disapproval and both turned so they could finally make their way to Fazer Blast. Roxy close behind.
"It's been a bit Greg, let's contact the others." Roxy advised.
"On it." Replied Gregory, who tapped the wrist device and then held up to his mouth. "Chica, Monty, are you there. Hello?" Silence for a second when.
"{Huh, Roxy? What you doing with Gregory's watch on?}" Chica's modulated, surprised voice came through the speaker.
"Roxy? No, I'm Gregory." Gregory blinked.
"{Oh, whoops, sorry.}"
"Chi, how could you confuse my voice for his?"
"{Sorry you two just sound so similar it's very weird.}" The pink chicken chuckled.
"Chica, sweetie man… You forgetting a clear difference... The filter on our voices?" Roxy asked.
"{Sorry dear. I'll remember for next time.}" Chica finished her small laugh.
"Yeah, you better." The silver wolf murmured. She swore that the gleamy chicken did that on purpose.
"{Anyway, it's all clear for us the now, nothing to report so far, just checking the stairwells the now. I can also access any part with my big strength.}" Monty sounded quite proud on that last part.
"No probs. Keep us posted. Keep safe." Replied Roxy.
"{You too. Later.}" And communications ceased as Gregory pressed the watch which gave off a "beep".
"How could she mistake my voice for your voice?" Gregory looked up confused at Roxy who just chuckled at the cute face the child was making.
"Come on "Rox", let's get going." She smirked while Gregory just rolled his eyes and they continued on their way.
The silver wolf felt herself changing thanks to the young man. The time they'd spent together she really was thankful she could let her hair down but… there was another thing gnawing at her. She'd done a good job keeping it under wraps so far but Roxanna doubted that Gregory thought she was helping at all during this and if they...
really...
were friends...
She'd always put on a tough exterior in front of the kids when they came for meet and greets and saw her around the PizzPlex the "No time for losers" stuff, it was part of her whole gimmick and personality but Gregory had met her for an extended period of time. It made her both happy and scared. Roxy wondered if she was good enough to stay by the kid's side... He must have heard her talking to herself in her green room way back when… she still hadn't brought it up out of fear... What would he say if she told him the truth...? But what truth was there? She was Roxanne Wolf for crying out loud! She was hard as tooth and nails wasn't she...? Wasn't she...?
"Roxy?" A voice brought her back from her deep dive.
"Huh?"
"Everything okay?" Gregory asked, concerned.
"Yeah, course. I'm cool. Come on, we should pick up the pace."
She'd done this a couple times already and Gregory was starting to get worried. Was there something she wasn't telling him?
"(I need to stop with this… I am helping… I am… aren't I…? Aren't I…)"
But... she felt like she was inferior... Was she any help at all...? Too many times she could have helped Gregory but she let them pass by or arrived too late and the kid did all the work... Why couldn't she do some of it... Why...? And the kid... Did... did he think he didn't need her... Did he think he was special...? Did he think... he was better than- Wait... what was happening. Why was she thinking like this?! These thoughts... "My head!" Roxy screamed out of nowhere and stopped just after the main stage, shaking uncontrollably.
"Roxy, what's wrong!" Gregory asked. What was going on? She hadn't had something like this happen to her before.
"I…I…I can feel it… It's that thing… It's trying to get in…!" She tried her best to speak through it.
"But how? I… Roxy, what can I-" Gregory tried to offer what help he could but Roxy pushed him away, though with gentle force as to not hurt the boy.
"Stay back! Greg… I don't want you to get hurt… Please…"
"Roxy…" Gregory muttered but he quickly thought of something and tried to access his Roxwatch, however, when he tried to press it, nothing happened, "(Just like before in West Arcade…) The youth gritted his teeth in frustration. Chica and Monty were too far even if he went to get them normally and he didn't want to abandon the Glamrock wolf.
With a snarl Roxy hit her head but that just caused more pain. "Garghhhh…! There's something... something-something-something-something trying to take control of me-me-me... I can't... It's so powerful it's like... like someone else-else is there... I can feel a presence... It's here... It's so very strong-strong... Make it stop... Please... It hurts... It hurts so much..." She pleaded and was stuttering, clutching her face, trying her best to withstand it.
"Having trouble, Roxy?" A giggling voice emanated through the nearby speakers; Gregory could feel that nausea feeling coming over him again.
Out the mistress of ceremonies danced, with a mic staff on the main stage for all of the Atrium to see. Roxy realised who it was, despite never seeing her but for Gregory, this was all too familiar. "Hello again Gregory! I see you've still been busy making new friends! I'm so proud of you." Her voice cooed which was sweet but the mocking hint was far too noticeable.
"Yeah, not the ones you like to hang around with!" Gregory shot back at her with venom in his voice.
"I wonder about that." She titled her head while tapping the mic stand, she had brought out but then shifted her calculating gaze to the boy's companion who looked back at her with daggers this time.
"S-So… Finally, I can see you… Seems like you fooled the others with whatever you have… but you didn't fool me!" Roxy snarled at finally seeing the white rabbit standing right before her.
"What you mean this?" Vanny's voice then turned hazy and disorienting and both Gregory and Roxy began to feel the effects as Vanny's form seemed to phase in and out of sync with reality. "Neat little piece of hardware in it? As tiny as a microbe but packs one hell of a punch." It looked like she'd pressed it again due it ceasing once more and she came back into full view.
"I'll let you off… for-for the use of bad language… in front of the kid… to assume… that this little tech… sort of acts like a half… camouflage? Explaining why Gregory could see you… but we couldn't… Arghhh!" Roxy ached through the pain.
"Well… aren't you just something. You Glamrocks really are state of the art." Vanny clapped her hands genuinely.
"I appreciate… the compliment…." Roxy panted out through modulated breaths.
"You're welcome! This little disc really works wonders! Much better modified though. I mean, if I didn't have this, I wouldn't have been able to get away with so much! Just another little gift I received."
"And… who gave… you that gift?" The silver wolf asked while continuing her fight with the elusive corruption.
"Wouldn't you like to know." The rabbit lady sneered and effortlessly unhooked the mic from the stand. Dancing out, she tapped to do a test, then bellowed, "And hello, hello, to all you lovely people out there in the big bad world of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Plex! We've got quite a show tonight folks!" Vanny twirled around on the show stage while doing her best impression of a game show host. "But first! Let's meet our contestants of this absolute whopper cause tonight! Gregory has to watch as his dear friend betrays and hunts him down horribly! It started off so well! Getting so close but never trust a mechanical wolf, am I right!" The rabbit cooed and pressed another button on her tablet and staff bots all around began laughing automated but as they did Vanny hit Roxy with a stone-cold stare and uttered, "Friends always make better enemies anyway... Don't they Roxy…?"
A realisation then hit Roxanne as she could feel the virus piercing her programming. "H-Hold on... The reason... I wasn't... affected before... was because you wanted Gregory and me to meet each other...? T-T-To grow closer...?"
"Give the gal a hand folks, give her three!" The rabbit lady sprang.
"You let the kid grow attached to me... just so you could make me hurt him in the end...?"
"Why nab the kid from the get go and take him? Where's the "fun" in that?" Vanny eyes gleamed evilly. They couldn't see but she was grinning wide under her mask. "I did run into some trouble with you and Freddy but... it eventually worked...Didn't it?"
Unboiled rage from the pain or whatever else came to the forefront, as the silver wolf let out a savage growl. "YOU-U-U MONSTER! I'LL- GAAARGHHHHHH!" As Roxy tried a surprise run for the rabbit woman, she fell down to her knees in agony, the corruption was now starting to take hold with vengeance.
"Stop it!" Gregory cried. The youth knew he'd be wasting his time if he tried anything but...
"Now this, this is having fun! Pure poetry! He'd be so giddy over this; you have no idea! This is just too good!" Vanny began laughing hysterically.
In rage, Gregory angrily tried to make a run for her but Vanny quickly saw what he was trying to do and ordered the security bots to hold him in place, while she waved her index finger at him. "Ah, ah, ah. That's a bad boy, Gregory. Didn't your parents ever teach- Ohhhh, I'm sorry. Too soon?"
"Screw. You!" He spat at her. He hated her. He hated her so much.
"Gregory…?" Roxanne uttered through the pain at what she just heard.
"Oh, my. I better make a hasty retreat before I get a telling off. Roxy dear. You know what to do with him. I'm sure he'll be very pleased. I've got two other annoyances to deal with." Swinging around the mic Vanny did another over-the-top twirl, "And thanks for joining us tonight on: "How to make Gregory suffer!" Tune in never! Bye, bye, now!" The bunny girl waved and danced off stage.
However, what both Gregory and Roxy didn't see was once she was behind the curtains that had fallen down to cover her, a few steps away from the stage, Vanny collapsed to the floor in exhaustion but still stirred on the ground. "Damn, that was close…" The costumed woman panted and sighed heavily from the brutal fatigue she was feeling. It felt like she was about to pass out at any moment.
And with that, what Vanny didn't realise was that her touch pad was still on and the impact had caused it to put the bots holding Gregory into safe mode but not wanting to stick around and be seen like this, Vanny scrambled to her feet and made her escape, not knowing what the slip up had just done.
Meanwhile, the security bots resumed their normal posts apart from the one holding the Glamrock wolf but Gregory wasn't leaving her.
Roxanne could feel it… This thing… in her mind trying to seep its way in…. This virus or whatever it was, it was alive… Was this what the others felt when it happened to them…? The thought filled her with dread but also burning anger… She wouldn't go down like this!
"No… No… No…! I'm not… gonna give in…! You won't… do this… TO ME!" In a surge of power, Roxy broke free of the bot's hold and savagely beat it to the ground, shutting it off, permanently. Strangely from the youth's perspective, the other bots took no notice, as Gregory ran over to the animatronics' side who was kneeling on the floor holding her head, still shaking it harshly.
Gregory peered down at her and wondered the worst. "Roxy are you…?"
"It's okay... It's okay, Greg... I'm alright..." She managed out but still remained kneeling. The child's expression turned to enthusiastic relief as he turned away to make sure no other dangers were nearby. "I just have one question Greg..." Gregory looked back but… something wasn't right and the tone in her voice...
Very slowly the silver wolf's twitching head turned to look up at him, with her eyes wide, cutting right into him.
"Gregory…"
"Do you think-think..."
"It's me."
"You're-You're… better than me...?" She bore her sharp teeth.
And before Gregory knew it, Roxy had already announced what she was going to do by letting out a screaming snarl and lunging right for his face.
Gregory quickly dodged just barely and ran for his life, as Roxy smashed into the stage edge and shook her head from the whiplash but quickly got back on target, as she observed Gregory running into the main section once more. "You can't get away Greg!" She growled.
The youth swiftly hid in one of the nearest photobooths, while collecting his thoughts and bearings on what in the world just happened in the last few minutes… How… how did Vanny get to her… How could this happen? He thought Roxy had gotten rid of it but then she was acting weird before... Was it really all some grand plan or something…? It frustrated him to no end that he was still in the dark.
Saying that, the ego speech before had still been at the back of Gregory's mind every time the Glamrock wolf had asked him about her general worth... It all made sense to him now... She was just sad that she thought no one really liked her... and it looked like whatever Vanny had done to her had brought it out in the worst possible way. It made Gregory feel terrible for her. She didn't deserve it. He could only imagine how the other Glamrocks personalities were altered or even enhanced by this corruption. None of them deserved this but more importantly he wouldn't leave Roxy in this state.
"Hey… Greg… Don't be s-scared... I'm really okay now… Honest... Come on out... I'm only... trying... to help..." Greg carefully shifted the curtain to one side and stepped out effortlessly, to not make a big commotion but knew he had to at least call out to her to maybe snap her out of it.
"Roxy, Roxy!"
No reply, only silent growls he could hear and heavy footsteps as he stepped out and hid behind the photobooths. Well, that was a no on that plan.
Even so, his heart was pounding out of his chest. He'd never felt this vulnerable before... He needed to call Chica and Monty but he was afraid of Roxy intercepting it since it was connected to her database as well as theirs. Any sudden big sound would alert her to his presence.
First things first, he needed to get out of here. He was dead centre in the Atrium but if he could maybe get to one of the upper floors and make a sprint for it without being seen then he could get the others. Slowly creeping his head around the corner of the photobooth in the direction of the main escalators, Gregory saw no one there apart from the S.T.A.F.F. bots continuing their monotone patrol. Guess this was Vanny's way of easy mode for him... He'd get back at her for this somehow.
Turning his head back to make sure the silver wolf wasn't trying to sneak up on him, Gregory went for a bolt to the left, only to find Roxy standing right there, hunched down in the middle like she had always been there. She really was fast.
"Are you lost? There's nowhere to hide." Roxy's damaged and dirty face smirked back at him. "Where am I remembering this from?" She sarcastically stated, feigning idiocy.
Gregory was a statue on the spot at this now predator Roxy that was beginning to step towards him steadily and threateningly, his body just wouldn't move despite trying to make it.
Her posture was now hunched similar to the stances taken by Chica and Monty previously but it fit Roxy to a T. Gregory hated the fact it suited her but he knew that this wasn't the real Roxy. Trying his best, the youth used his eyes to at least locate a possible escape route.
However, Roxanne picked up on this almost immediately. "Don't you even think of trying to run to another bit. Entrance, no, Rockstar Row no, Monty Golf, NO! There isn't anywhere you can get away or hide from me in here! You can't outrun me! I'm the best! And unlike the others... I'm the one who's gonna get you first!" Roxy yelled and broke out into a sprint which woke Gregory's legs up and he ducked and rolled just in time from the Glamrock's leap, her claws just scuffing him.
"Lucky escape." Roxy sneered as Gregory went and hid again.
Now under one of the small tables, Gregory felt something on his chest now that his adrenaline had calmed down slightly. There was a slight tear in his striped t shirt… She really was trying to hurt him…
He then heard a sound… It was a quick and horrid sound. It sounded familiar almost like… "Found you!" Someone sniffing him out!
Gregory lay in shock as the table he was hiding under was lifted from its place, brought overhead and then chucked away to the pseudo checkered floor nearby. And he thought Monty had the monster strength… He forgot that all the Glamrocks were still animatronics…
Roxy however, didn't move after she had gotten rid of the obstacle in her way. She was twitching and with this moment of time on his side, Gregory took in the worn mess that was his friend.
She really looked like a different wolf altogether than when they first met. Her colours were all but drained from her features replaced with dark messy dirt in particular her left eye was completely dark that it gave her a black eye and from all the talking she was doing, her jaw looked even more dislocated up close, along with small cracks around her face. Gregory needed to think of something fast to help her, she wouldn't last much more in the state she was in now. He didn't expect her to be this erratic compared to the others.
Noticing also that her eyes looked blank and she was temporarily stunned for some reason, Gregory ran back to his original hiding place this time on the opposite side of the four photobooths, facing to the stage where the tables were in the way.
The silver wolf almost immediately snapped out of her momentary trance and realised Gregory had escaped. "No! You sneaky little… You're still here! I know you are!" She snarled and kicked a chair over as she looked around, her tail waving around sleekly and looking surprisingly better than most of her person.
"I-I must... get you... you… I need-need to… For... for... him..." She stuttered out.
"Who are you talking about?" Gregory shouted back.
"I-I will-will get you first and bring you to... him... Yes... bring you to him..." Roxy repeated but Gregory was still at a loss for who she meant. Vanny was the one who did something to her but she wasn't the one controlling her?
"Roxy, please try and remember…" Gregory pleaded.
"Remember what? You making me weak!" Roxy snapped back.
"I wasn't making you-"
"You were making me weak! You were! I'm not weak... And those eyes... Eyes...! You were always judging me!"
"Judging? I wasn't doing anything like that!"
"Shut up! You don't know what you're talking about! I... I'm... not a loser... You think you're so special... but you're not!" He couldn't believe at what he was hearing. She wasn't making any sense but he knew this was the corruption.
In a few moments Gregory could hear a sound. It sounded metallic and grating to the ear but he then realised that it was the silver wolf sniffing the air for him again like before and he gulped at the thought of Roxy finding him through his scent.
"You can't hide forever Gregory. You might as well give up..." Heightening her senses and hearing this time, the silver wolf cancelled out all the nearby noise. The acoustics in the room made it hard to pinpoint him but if she just concentrated...
"Roxy..." Roxanne's ears twitched and her body did a complete 180 to where the noise came from, leaving the carpeted section of the in-place tables towards the stage.
"You're just making this harder than it needs to be. If you want it the high way, you're gonna pay the price..."
"No. This isn't you, Roxy! You fought it before! You can do it again!" Gregory knew he was giving away his location by continuing to try and reach out to her but... he didn't want to just leave her like this... He was torn...
"Give up, you can't win!" The Glamrock ignored the child's attempt at reason and scanned the nearby area searching for him.
"Please Roxy, just-"
"Shut up!" Once again, the silver wolf ignored the pleas and quickly stalked over to the noise of where the kid was and found its source, going in for another leap at Gregory again who ducked and her face smacked right into the photo booth. Pieces of her face were now chipped off and fell to the ground but in her blind state of her objective, she didn't care.
Shaking her head, Roxy quickly set her sights on the child again. "If you just keep your trap shut, this can all go down smoothly kid!" Roxy began a charge at the youth who tried his luck at outrunning the silver wolf, sprinting his way over to the right side of the Atrium and to the entrance of Roxy's Raceway. This was a fool's errand.
Her loud swift feet were getting close with every thumping sound. This is what it felt like being hunted… Gregory didn't know how long he could do this. He was getting tired once again. However, the youth didn't notice he was now in front of the logo to the course and that stopping to catch his breath, Roxy was almost right on top of him. Not having time to run, Gregory watched in terror as the silver wolf leapt right for him letting out a loud satisfied growl but Gregory ducked just in time as Roxy's eyes widened that she wasn't heading for Gregory but for the put-up highlighted sign. A violent "Clang!" of metal then echoed around the complex.
Gregory was not prepared for what happened next…
He slowly turned but to his horror, saw Roxy turn as well but only this time it wasn't the same face he'd come to know. Looking at the big dent in the logo, Roxy had smashed almost her entire body into it, with such force at the metal fabric, that the constant wear and tear that had taken its toll on the Glamrock wolf over the hours had now all come to the forefront as her upper face was now a damaged worn mess, black wires were pouring out of her non-existent brow, showing also, her damaged endoskeleton with pieces of her outer plating broken off around it, almost caving into her endo face and the rest of her plating around her body was mostly gone, her damaged abdomen area revealed two circular liner plates to house her circuits along with showing her endo gears and metal bones as well. Her lower area wasn't as badly damaged but the darker colours around, matched her truly horrifying new appearance.
Slowly, Roxy moved her hands to feel her face, noticing that something was wrong the moment she couldn't feel anything at the top… Gregory then saw two small round objects rolling in his direction… There was an eerie silence that followed and then a quiver of silent shock… "My face… My face… MY FACE!" Gregory nearly let out a terrified shriek at seeing Roxy's now empty eye sockets staring back at him. Her ears quickly twitched when she heard a noise from somewhere which was Gregory getting up and she lunged right for him, hearing him pick up what she assumed to be, "MY EYES! GIVE ME BACK MY EYES!" The silver Glamrock screamed as her voice now possessed a permanent glitch, almost like there were two voices instead of one now.
Gregory ran as fast he could from the damaged animatronic, trying his best not to cry at what had happened or the sight of his friend.
On one positive, Roxy's jaw had seemingly been snapped back into place by the previous impact but her appearance was still a farcry from what it was.
"I can't see you... But I can still hear you, Gregory!"
Gregory leapt over the fake soil between the two palm trees and back into the middle section once again, crouching behind one the tables. He needed to keep quiet He then viewed his friends' eyes sullenly while looking around for her.
"Why are you hiding from me?! I... thought we were friends!" Her strained voice called out which made Gregory wince.
He located her as she was now back at the front of the Atrium at the show stage. She would walk for a moment and then stop and rinsed and repeated the same pattern sometimes putting her hands out in front of her to stop herself from falling. She was guessing now but she seemed to guess right, as she was now walking over in his direction to the middle once more but Roxy stopped all of a sudden and let out a cry while touching her head.
"My hair... My tail... My face... Look at me! It's all ruined! AND IT'S YOUR FAULT!" She shouted to wherever Gregory was hiding. "YOU DID THIS TO ME! ALL BECAUSE YOU DECIDED TO COME CRYING TO ME! WHAT DID I EVER DO TO YOU! HUH?! IS THIS THE REASON YOUR FRIENDS LEFT YOU! IS THAT IT?! YOUR- ... NO! I BET YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE ANY FRIENDS! THAT'S IT! YEAH! WHY WOULD THEY WANT TO, WITH A SNEAKY COWARD LIKE YOU! THAT'S RIGHT, SNEAK AWAY LITTLE COWARD! YOU ARE NOTHING! I AM THE BEST! ME! I'M WHAT EVERYONE WANTS TO BE! YOU, YOU'RE JUST A LOSER! A LOSER! NO ONE WILL MISS YOU! NOW GET OUT HERE RIGHT NOW!" Roxy let out a shriek that was enhanced by the large acoustics across the entire Atrium making it loud tenfold.
The small child was trying his hardest to keep it together and not break down, noticing small drops of water coming from his eyes but he stayed strong and kept it in closing them.
That proved to be a mistake because hearing small breathing from in front of him, Gregory's eyes opened to find Roxy staring down at him even without her eyes. She'd somehow snuck right up to him, whether she knew it or not. The youth then out of fear let out a small squeak but that was all the ruined Glamrock needed to snatch him up.
Now in her torn clawed hands Roxy brought Gregory to her face screaming into his in anger but Gregory screamed back, more fearful than angry and smacked Roxy's jaw with his flashlight. Falling backwards due to the impact coming from out of nowhere from her perspective, the Glamrock wolf released the youth from her grip, in which Gregory then fled from the scene as fast as he could while Roxy clutched her face in anguish trying to make sure it was alright.
Gregory was almost out of distance when he could hear the silver wolf crying even more than before. It was more than a sob. She sounded completely finished.
Against his better judgment and… perhaps… out of pity, the child turned back to hear Roxy speaking to herself. She was fluctuating like she was two different people and every step closer made Gregory feel even more terrible.
"No... No… Why... why...! They'll never want to see me again... Everyone... No... no... I'm still beautiful... I just... I just need a little work done... Yes... Gregory... Everybody still loves me right...? Gregory…? Gregory…?" Roxy looked around for any sound she could hear that resembled the young man's but her head went down when she thought that he had left her.
Footsteps however, could then be heard getting closer. "Who's there…? Gregory?" Roxanne sounded hopeful but there was no reply until...
"Roxy... I didn't know you had all this waying on you... I wish you'd told me before… but... it's my fault. I saw it in your eyes sometimes and what you said before... I could have done something… but I didn't... I'm... I'm sorry..."
"You're sorry...?!" Roxy almost seemed like she didn't process the word. The now insecure schizophrenic wolf was about to let anger take over again when-
"I'm homeless..." Gregory uttered.
Roxy ceased and couldn't speak at what she just heard. In a moment all time seemed to just stop for her as even without her eyes, it was like she could see Gregory standing right in front of her.
"I lied to you... because I liked it that way..." Gregory looked down, ashamed. "I could pretend... for a moment I could… that I was still with them... My mum and dad... Being in Freddy Fazbear's. Thee Freddy Fazbear's. I always wanted to come here with them... Even without Vanny... I wanted to meet you guys finally... Have fun... Do stuff I always wanted to do with my parents... I thought if I told you guys the truth... you wouldn't want to trust me at all..." Gregory looked over to the now aghast and sombre Glamrock.
"Gregory... I..." Roxanne muttered. The silver wolf looked down with her non-existent lenses to her hands even though she couldn't see them... "What have I done..." Her voice broke out into a whimper as she fell to her knees in grief...
"Roxy..." Gregory reached out.
Roxy turned to the direction she heard the child from but didn't even budge, simply stayed where she was but her mouth quivered that even though she couldn't see his expression, she knew she had deeply hurt him...
"Please... just go... I... I'm not even in control of myself..." She muttered out.
"But…"
"I don't deserve to be near you Gregory...! I was ready to hurt you… I almost did and I said such... horrible things just now... I'm not a role model… I'm not the best... Me... I'm the loser here..."
"You're not a loser Roxy! Please don't think that way…" Gregory interrupted her self-defeating thoughts. "To me… Your kind, pretty, sweet, cool, hardcore, a great keytar player… and even if you don't believe in yourself, I always will! I like you just the way you are! I'm not leaving you and I believe in you Roxy!" The young child responded with confidence and vigour.
Roxanne looked in Gregory's direction still unable to see but could still visualise the child standing there and it gave her comfort that she didn't think was possible. "...You believe in me... You-You... believe in me... I..." Before she knew it, Roxy let out a huge cry...
Gregory went over and embraced the wolf. "It's okay... I'll take it away. I believe in you Roxy..."
"You believe in me... Someone believes in me..." She continued sobbing and returned the gentle embrace with her own. "Greg... I…" Roxy couldn't continue when her ears then suddenly twitched, it was like she was in a trance and Gregory himself let go of the silver wolf when his attention was directed at a peculiar noise he could hear and he walked back a few paces to investigate where it was coming from. His eyes almost hypnotised.
He didn't know why he was being drawn away from Roxy but there was something familiar about this sound, it made him want to follow it.
Roxanne meanwhile, was still in a blur with her emotions but she was trying to remember something… Something important… Gregory… Yes… Gregory was… in danger… That noise… It was… It sounded like a sort of… grand tune but it was in a music box style. Wait… no… She'd heard this before… It was all coming back…
This tune was played to the kids when being handed birthday cakes...
"Toreador March…" Roxy uttered and her brow shot up in realisation just as a hand clasped around Gregory's mouth. The shock was great enough that it caused the youth to drop his flash light.
"Now would be a good time to hold your breath…" Gregory snapped out of the trance now that the music was right behind him and he looked up to see Glamrock Freddy yank him up from the floor in his other arm.
Gregory tried to shout but the hard grip made it impossible, he quickly glanced back at Roxy, who was now standing again and frantically searching.
"Freddy! Freddy, don't hurt him!" She pleaded. The music had messed with her hearing sensors and she was still in an unbalanced state from the virus before, she couldn't concentrate.
Gregory could feel himself now being held under Freddy's arm and saw the floor going up and down as he heard loud thumps as the Glamrock bear began to run from the scene. Gregory screamed with all his might but it was no use however, looking down into his arms he remembered what he carried and hoping it would be enough chucked Roxy's eyes back in the location she was.
It was a successful throw as they had landed quite nearby and Roxy had picked up on it along with another small item. "Greg! I'll find you! I'll find you Greg!" She shouted out and Gregory gave a look of anguish as his last view of Roxy was her woefully searching for her eyes as Freddy left the Atrium.
