"Mi Lord, there is a group of travelers here to see you,"
"Let them in,"
"Wow.. Tsuki you're here for what? About a month? And you are a lord. That's so cool," a girl said walking in.
"Kogome!" Tsuki embraced Kogome.
"Don't squeeze so tight. You've become so strong," Kogome said catching her breath.
"Hay, Songo, Meroku, Shippo. InuYasha don't be so stupid. That's not real. Its plastic fruit," Tsuki said grabbing InuYasha's hand. "Lets talk over lunch."
"Wow, you've had lots happen since we last met," Meroku said.
"Yeh and I have a meeting tomorrow," Tsuki said drinking her tea.
"InuYasha, what do you think? Um… does he always stuff like that?" Kari asked.
"Yeh you'll get use to it, Lady Kari," Meroku said.
"So, Sesshoumaru just let you go?" InuYasha said coming up for air.
"Well yeh. I think he was getting sick of me," Tsuki said unsurely.
Everyone looked thoughtfully at Tsuki.
"You're probably right. I mean he hasn't ever been with any one," InuYasha stated.
"Do you think lord ice heart is gay?" Tsuki asked.
"I really don't know," InuYasha said as everyone started giggling uncontrollably.
"Shinta, would you please take the men to their rooms?"
"Yes, of course," Shinta led the men away.
"Lets do facials and talk. We need some girls to talk to. Shinta is such a stiff," Kari said laying out everything.
"Okay what do you want to talk about?" Songo said sitting down.
"What's been going on between you and Meroku?" Kari said.
"And you, Kogome, and InuYasha," Tsuki stated.
Kogome and Songo blush.
"Um... Well what about that note? Lets open it," Kogome changed the subject.
"…" Tsuki slowly opened the note. "It says
'Lady Tsuki,
Meet me by the lake on the night of the full moon'
"Well that's odd. Do you understand it?" Kogome blurted.
"I think that's how he says he wants to talk," Tsuki said wonderingly.
"Are you going?" asked Songo.
"I guess I have no choice. I mean I don't want to offend him. It could cause a war," Tsuki said looking over the note.
"'Yawn' lets get some sleep," Kogome said snoring like a water buffalo.
"You and your friends are to leave at dawn," Tsuki said. Everyone was to tired to ask.
After the girls were asleep, Tsuki went outside. She looked over the note in the moonlight. They seemed to change. It said to meet him tonight. She ran through the forest to the lake. There she saw silver swaying in the breeze.
"You decided to come," Sesshoumaru stated.
"Yes," Tsuki said standing beside him.
"…….. What do you think of me?" Sesshoumaru asked quietly.
"You are a tortured soul. Who hides it all behind a shield of ice," Tsuki said calmly looking into Sesshoumaru's eyes.
He didn't answer but looked into Tsuki's eye as if without them he'd fall into darkness. He slowly stepped closer to Tsuki.
"Wha…" Tsuki started, but was cut off by a silken pair of lips covered hers.
She felt herself being pulled into another world. He broke the kiss so they both could get air.
"Sesshoumaru, I…" Tsuki tried.
"I think I love you," Sesshoumaru said pulling Tsuki into an embrace.
"Your ice is melting, but for the wrong person," Tsuki said freeing herself.
He looked at her. Eyes full of fear, and abandonment. She turned and ran back to her castle. She had to run. To get away. She had to go to her time. Yes that is her home. Not here, and not with him. She had a life that wasn't here.
"Kogome, will you take me home?" Tsuki asked.
"Sure, but who is going to be lord now?" Kogome said at breakfast.
"I already have that taken care of. Shinta and Kari are going to be," Tsuki said coldly. She hated questions.
Kogome accepted this and nodded her head. After breakfast Tsuki said goodbye and told the people. They protested greatly.
"Lady Tsuki, wait! We have something for you," a child yelled running to the leaving Tsuki.
The child said, "This is from all of us. We all helped. Us younger ones found the stones and the oldest ones melted and stuff."
"Oh thank you so much. I'm really honored," Tsuki accepted the silver hair pen. It was encrusted with jewels. She put it in her hair as the child beamed.
Kogome nearly flew into space because she was so bubbly. She only knew that Tsuki was happy and going somewhere safe. InuYasha smirked the whole way. Shippo, Songo, and Meroku were just talking away. Tsuki sort of was dazed all the way to the bone eater's wale. Kogome helped Tsuki down the wale. Her heart nearly shattered as she saw the look in Tsuki's eyes as she disappeared. She hadn't noticed it there before.
