AN : Hello everyone! Some first few notes, before I start this chapter. Like I said last chapter, this fic at these earlier arcs might seem like there's no action nor changes to the plot, other than Percy being here and some other minor changes, but I promise there's going to be a lot of both in the later arcs, which we'll be getting into soon, once I finish my short hiatus.

Yes, you heard that right, I'll be going on a short hiatus, which I will explain more thoroughly after the chapter, and since you might want to read the new chapter first, I'll try to not eat up any more of your time. As always thank you for all the support everyone and thank you so much for baring with my mediocre writing. Anyway, let's get on with the chapter!

Enjoy reading!

(Last Time)

This was the last straw for Percy. Has Izuku mastered this power? No. Does he still have a lot to learn? Absolutely. It's all well and good to scold Izuku, but telling him that straight to his face, not knowing of the hardships that Izuku had to overcome to get to where he is now? That was unacceptable for him, so he moved, before he could even think and ran towards the two, much to the dismay of the class who had protested the moment he moved.

Percy ignored them, cutting off Aizawa's scarf which was latched onto Izuku, as the scarf retreated back to the black-haired man's neck. Aizawa's eye colour reverts back to its original black, as he looks at Percy with a disapproving look.

"Sorry, but…"

"I don't like it when someone talks to my friend like that"

(Chapter 5)

( - )

"Sorry, but…"

"I don't like it when someone talks to my friend like that" Percy says, looking back at Aizawa's glare with a fierce stare of his own, as the hero gives him an unamused look, while the class and Izuku merely watched in awe and silence at the scene unfolding.

Aizawa sighs, blinking for a moment, as his eyes revert back to their original black once he opens them again. He looks at Percy, who stood in front of him, shielding Izuku.

"Go back in line with the rest of the class, Jackson" He spoke, as Percy looked like he didn't even hear him or the boy just ignored what Aizawa said. The odds were pointing more at the latter, as Percy replied with "No"

"And why is that? Your friend over there…" Aizawa gestures to Izuku, who cowered behind Percy once he found himself under his stare, avoiding eye contact with him "Is not fit to be a hero, he couldn't save more than one person even if he wanted to, because of the drawbacks to his quirk, which he can't even control"

"Someone like that is unpredictable and will be a nuisance, and will probably cost the lives of many who he will fail to save in the future. With that in mind, he does not deserve to be in this class, much less this school, it was a miracle in on itself that he was accepted in the first place" Aizawa says, ignoring Izuku who hung his head low in defeat after hearing every word that he said, each word having sent a jab at him, hurting him deeply, which didn't sit well with Percy.

"Let's make a bet" Percy said out of the blue, surprising the whole class, Izuku and even Aizawa, whose brow raised slightly in amusement and a tinge of curiosity, as he wanted to see where he was going with this. "Very well"

The response obviously wasn't anticipated by the class, as they all watched the scene closely, wanting to see what would transpire.

"I bet that Izuku will be able to get more than five hundred meters without breaking his whole body in one swing" Percy says, as Aizawa looks at him questioningly "What are the stakes?"

"If Izuku does prove you wrong, you have to apologise to him for what you said earlier" Percy says, as the class gasps at his proposition with it sounding disrespectful to the teacher, who really couldn't care less and much to the shock of the class, Aizawa replies "Okay then"

"But…" Aizawa cuts off whatever Percy was about to say, as he had not stated the condition of the repercussions should Izuku fail to prove him wrong.

"If he loses, then I will expel him" Aizawa finishes, making Percy sweat a little nervously, before Aizawa then steps back a little "You may begin whenever you want, though it would be better if you make this quick, I need to take a nap, you're all taking my time and…"

"I have dry eyes!" Aizawa says, his eyes widening for a moment, before returning back to their half-opened state of drowsiness, as Percy nods before turning to Izuku, who looked even more nervous than before after having heard the stakes and consequences should he fail, while he, deep down, felt like the latter was going to happen.

"Hey Izuku, I know you must be nervous right now, so take deep breaths" Percy instructs, trying to calm Izuku down, who followed what he said, but unfortunately didn't work well with trying to boost his confidence, as he still felt that he was going to do bad.

"Look at me," Percy says, putting his hands on Izuku's shoulder, as he says "You can do this. Repeat after me"

"I. Can. Do. This" The two say in unison this time. Percy then chuckles lightly, not being able to hold in his laughter, as he looks into Izuku's eyes, who follows suit right after.

"Oi, get on with it, we don't have time for this" Aizawa says from behind them sternly, making Percy back away from Izuku, as he lets out a few last words for encouragement "Prove him wrong Izuku. You have a big brain, I know you can think of something, so put it to use. Good luck"

Percy went to stand back with the whole class, as he watched Izuku closely with bated breath, the suspense building up each second that passed. He watched, as Izuku took a deep breath, before reeling his arm back, going into a position to throw the ball.

Izuku did a slight pause, before moving, walking forward, as his other limbs followed suit, putting all his might into this one throw, before launching it off his hand with a magnificent boom "SMASHHHH!"

The ball went flying through the air, while only one of his fingers looked purple in a swollen state, as he had focused all his power with only the index.

The whole class watched in awe, their jaws wide open in shock, as the ball soon landed on the ground, resulting in the phone, which Aizawa held, to light up with the newly earned score of Izuku. It took the hero a moment or two, before he could look at it himself, as he too had his mouth agape, though only slightly, at Izuku's showcase of power.

Aizawa looked at the score with a neutral face, which showed 705.3 meters. His attention was once again pulled to Izuku, as the green-haired boy spoke "Sensei…"

Izuku turned to Aizawa, forcing out a shaky smile with a look of determination, as he clenched his hand, which had the injured finger, into a fist, even though it did hurt.

"I haven't broken down yet" Izuku smiles, as Aizawa's eyes widened, looking straight at Izuku's eyes and smile, which for some reason irked the pro hero to his core.

"Heh, this kid…" Aizawa smirked slightly, as the class finally snapped out of their trance.

"Over seven hundred meters!?" Kirishima comments, as Iida marvels at the result, while both Percy and Uraraka cheer for Izuku in glee.

"He finally got the hero-like record!" Uraraka shouts out, jumping up with her hands in the air, as Iida observes Izuku's current state, taking notice of his finger "His finger is swelling!" He says, before resting a finger on his chin, beginning to speculate.

"The entrance exam too…what a strange quirk"

While Uraraka was clapping for him and Iida was speculating, Percy walked towards Izuku, ecstatic about the results, as he went to congratulate his friend. Meanwhile, although the class had gotten over their initial shock, Bakugo still hadn't, staring at Izuku with a dumbfounded look, as he had his mouth wide open.

"That was amazing Izuku! I knew you could do it!" Percy says, wrapping an arm around Izuku, who smiles shyly, as they walk back towards the class to join them.

"Is your finger okay?" Uraraka asks in concern for Izuku, as he and Percy join the class once more in the line. Izuku blushes at this, while also flustered because of the narrow distance between them, making Percy chuckle at this, as Iida comes to congratulate Izuku. Meanwhile, Bakugo stared at the group, specifically at Izuku in hatred with a glint of jealousy.

As Iida and Uraraka congratulated and complimented the flustered Izuku, Percy turned around to face Aizawa with a mischievous smirk, showing the man that he had not forgotten about the bet. Aizawa flinched slightly at the look he was being given, but sighed in defeat, wanting to get it over with, while also thinking that the green-haired boy had earned it, wanting to stay true to his word.

"Well sensei…" Percy says, loud enough for the whole class to hear, as it pulls all their attention to Percy and Aizawa.

"Since Izuku proved you wrong, I think you should be doing a certain something" Percy grins, as most of the class looks at him in awe for even being able to talk to their teacher like that, while some looked curious as to if Aizawa would even do it at all.

Aizawa shocked them all, as he walked towards Izuku, uttering the words "I'm sorry" silently, though it wasn't enough, as Percy grew an oblivious look on his face.

"Hey sensei…isn't it that it's customary to bow, when apologising" Percy says, sounding oblivious, making the class once again watch in admiration at this point, because of how he talked to the pro hero, as Aizawa softly grumbles, but doesn't argue, following through with the command and bowing in front of Izuku.

"I'm sorry" Aizawa says once again, this time bowing, as the hero thinks it was over, but he was mistaken.

"What was that?" Percy asks innocently, but Aizawa knows the meaning behind it, cursing himself silently for even accepting the bet, before eventually following.

"I'm sorry" Aizawa reiterates, this time louder, for the whole class to hear, but contrary to what he thought, it still wasn't over, yet.

"Sorry for what again" Percy says, looking at Aizawa with innocent eyes, who mutters a silent "Tch", before sighing.

"I'm sorry Midoriya Izuku for the words I said to you earlier. It was insensitive and rude. I apologise" Aizawa says, with his usual dreary tone, but louder this time, accompanied by his bow. With this, Percy was satisfied, as he smiles contently.

"Okay that's all, thank you sensei!" Percy grins, as Aizawa stands up properly, well whatever was normal to him, which was apparently him walking with a slouched back, much like Bakugo.

"We're wasting time, get ready for the next tests" Aizawa says nonchalantly, while walking away, as he brushes off what had just happened.

Since it looked like there wasn't any problem, the class shrugged it off as well, while letting out a few chuckles that they have been holding in since earlier, not wanting to get on their teacher's bad side on the first day. Though they wouldn't admit it in front of Aizawa, Percy had just earned most of their respect with how he talked back.

The class then followed Aizawa, as they went to accomplish the rest of their tests.

( - )

The last few tests went without a hitch, as Percy did them all well, performing excellently.

He now stood at the same ground that he and the class had stood on when they had began the tests, only difference was that this time was the end of the trials and the showcasing of the results and the leaderboard, which would also point out who, among them, would get expelled on the very first day.

"Let's quickly announce the results" Aizawa announces, while the class stares at him in anticipation and anxiety for the results, as he continues "I simply summed up each test's score" He raises the phone in his hand.

"Since it's a waste of time explaining, I'll just show you all" Aizawa says, as everyone looks at the man in front of them with bated breath, while some choose to close their eyes. Needless to say, everyone couldn't stand the suspense and just wanted to see their results.

Percy was nervous, that was for sure, how could he not. Though he was confident in his abilities, he still had his doubts, as he stared at Aizawa in anticipation, while sparing a glance at Izuku too, praying that they were both able to make the cut.

Izuku was nervous as well, but much much more than Percy, as he felt as if he could die right where he stood, because of the nerve-wracking suspense he felt as each moment passed, where the abundant feeling of dread and disappointment awaited him. He was not a pessimist, but he just couldn't help himself, as he closed his eyes, just as the results were about to be shown.

To end their nerve-wracking torture, Aizawa pressed a button on the phone he held, as it presented a hologram for the whole class to see, which was none other than the leaderboard itself alongside with everyone's scores.

Percy was able to spot his name almost instantly, finding it at the very top, as he was number 1 among the whole class. Though he was guaranteed a spot in the class, avoiding being expelled, his worry was not fully eradicated, as his eyes glided over the scoreboard, looking for Izuku's name, only to eventually find that his name was placed at the very…

Bottom.

Right after seeing the results, Percy was quick to see Aizawa look towards Izuku's way, which worries him, as he goes to Izuku, ready to argue with the hero for why Izuku deserves to stay in U.A.

"Oi…" Aizawa calls out, looking towards Izuku's direction, as Percy visibly tenses, but is soon relieved, as the man calls out someone else, contrary to what Percy thought.

"Mineta Minoru, step forward" Aizawa calls out, as a short, purple-haired boy, whose hair looks like balls, walks out from the class, turning everyone's attention to him.

"Yes sensei" Mineta says nervously, a drop of sweat falling down his hair, as Aizawa continues "I was observing all of you, during the tests, and I noticed that your eyes were wandering quite a lot. Do you have any reason why?"

"Sensei, I was staring at the girls' boobs! All the girls in this class are hot and I couldn't keep my eyes off of them" Mineta boldy says, sounding as if he was proud for what he did, making the girls, who stood behind him and had heard the whole thing, shiver in embarrassment at hearing how they were being stared at, while giving Mineta a fierce glare, which the boy ignored.

Other than the girls, most of the boys had also looked at Mineta in disgust, which didn't exclude Percy, as he felt a little disappointed in Mineta.

"Not manly dude. Not manly" Kirishima shakes his head in disappointment, as the rest of the class agree with the redhead, nodding in agreement, while Aizawa ignores them and looks at Mineta sternly "Do you want to be a hero?"

"Yes sensei, I do!"

"Okay. Then listen to my advice…"

"Before you try to become a hero, you should learn how to at least become a decent human being and respect women" Aizawa utters sternly, as he points to the side, towards the exit. "Get out of my class"

Aizawa's voice alone sounded like you wouldn't want to argue with him and so with a soft sigh, Mineta obeyed, silently walking away from the class. Aizawa watches Mineta, seeing the purple-haired boy's fading back, until he is out of sight and out of mind, already forgetting about him.

As Mineta left, Percy released a relieved sigh that he was holding and so did Izuku, both boys feeling at ease, because Izuku wasn't expelled. The class stayed silent, as Aizawa felt his eyelids getting tired, deciding to end it quickly.

"We're done" Aizawa says out of the blue, before walking towards Izuku, which alarms Percy, as Aizawa continues "The curriculum is in the classroom, so take a look at it"

"Midoriya" Aizawa calls out Izuku's name, as he stands in front of the green-haired boy, pulling out a piece of paper, before handing it to him "Get fixed at granny's nurse office. Our training tomorrow will be even harder. Be prepared"

Aizawa turns his head, walking away quickly, but silently, as he soon went out of sight, making both Percy and Izuku sigh.

They have both made it out of the first day alive, which was a good start for both, as it was a good beginning for their journey as heroes.

(Outside the School Infirmary)

With the first day of school ending, Izuku and Percy now found themselves standing in front of the nurse's office, following the instructions of their teacher. Percy yawns, exhausted, not used to getting up early, as it was even earlier then during his training with All Might.

Izuku took another glance at the sign above the door to make sure it was the infirmary, feeling a bit nervous, before finally placing his fist on the door, knocking on it. Nothing happened though, no response or sound of footsteps, signalling someone walking to the door to open it, so Izuku tried again.

He tried knocking once again this time, adding more force, but still, to no avail, getting no kind of response, which began to irk the young man, as he tried again, knocking louder this time and thankfully, someone responded.

"Yes? I'm coming, hold on" An old voice replies from the inside of the infirmary, making Izuku sigh, as he hears the sound of footsteps making their way to the door, before opening it, revealing the same old woman from the entrance exam, the youthful hero, Recovery Girl. She had grey hair netted into a bun with a syringe poking out of it, she wore a doctor's lab coat with a dress with yellow and red vest-like designs on either side, two yellow buttons and a belt with pink "R" shaped buckle.

"What do you need?" Recovery Girl asks warmly, smiling softly for the two boys, as Izuku remembers the piece of paper he had gotten from Aizawa. He scrambles to find it, quickly finding it and pulling it out of his left pocket, showing it to the elderly hero. The paper looked folded and creased, as Recovery Girl looked at it for a moment, recognising the piece of paper immediately, it being a regular pass for students who needed medical attention.

Recovery Girl took the paper from Izuku's hand, placing it in her pocket, before turning slightly around, while gesturing for Izuku to come in, who gladly takes the invite and walks into the infirmary, but unfortunately as Percy was about to enter, the aged-woman stops him in his tracks.

"Where's your pass?" Recovery Girl asks, as Percy chuckles awkwardly, scratching the back of his head sheepishly "Ah, well…you see, I don't have one"

"If you don't have one, may you please wait outside, don't worry, I'll bring your friend back to you in one piece" Recovery Girl chuckles, as Percy smiles "Okay then"

The well-aged heroine nodded at the young man, before walking back into the infirmary, closing the door behind her, leaving Percy outside, who finds a nearby bench near the door, where he sits down to wait for Izuku to come out.

As Percy sat down on the bench, he yawned again, the feeling of drowsiness overcoming him, as he decided not to fight it anymore, falling asleep where he sat, not minding if anyone came across his body in slumber.

( - )

Though Percy was asleep, his body was still alert, always feeling and hearing the things that happened around it, he never figured out why he always felt tense, but it did help him in never getting caught by surprise, which was a good thing in a fight. The point was all it took was a soft sound to wake him up, because of his reflexes and it was no different this time.

"Hehe"

A soft chuckle forces Percy out of his sleep, jumping up from the bench, as he looks around for the source of the sound, finding himself looking straight into a pair of onyx eyes belonging to an amazingly beautiful girl with black hair.

The way she stood made her seem like royalty, who looked the same age as him, which made him feel slightly embarrassed, as he thinks that he made a fool of himself.

Shaking those thoughts away for the time being, Percy clenches his head, which aches slightly from bouncing up immediately after his short nap, as he attempts to start a conversation with the girl.

"Hey" Percy says, still feeling slightly dizzy, but completely awake, not sleepy anymore, as the girl chuckles again, making him grow a confused and slightly flustered look.

"What?" Percy asks, as the girl points at the corner of his lower lip "You drool, when you sleep" She points out, as Percy immediately finds the short line of drool on his lower lip, wiping it off with his hands.

"Sorry about that" Percy chuckles awkwardly, before the girl shakes her head with a stupid smile "No it's fine actually, I found it entertaining" The girl says, before a dawn of realisation sets on her face, which was quickly replaced with an expression of disappointment at herself.

"Where are my manners, I apologise. I am Momo Yaoyorozu, though it would be acceptable to just call me Yaoyorozu. It's a pleasure to meet you" The girl introduces herself, smiling courteously at Percy, who shoots her a lopsided grin.

"My name's Percy Jackson, you can call me Percy. Nice to meet you too" Percy says, as he took a good look at the girl for the first time since they met, finding her familiar, before coming to the conclusion that he saw her during the quirk assessment tests.

"I remember seeing you from earlier"

"So we're classmates then"

"It seems that way, yes" Momo replies, before pulling her phone out from her pocket.

"Oh my, I must leave now, mother is calling for me. I have to go" Momo says, walking away in a hurry, before pausing and giving Percy a subtle glance for a moment.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Percy" Momo waves at him, as Percy waves back, smiling, watching as the black-haired girl fades away into the distance, getting out of sight.

Percy then went back to waiting on the bench for Izuku to leave, which didn't take long, as he soon heard the door to the infirmary opening, Izuku walking out of it with a bandaged finger.

"Hey Izuku," Percy smiles, making Izuku smile back "Hey Percy"

The duo began to walk side by side while talking towards the direction Momo had gone, as they were going to go back home like everyone else, it being the end of the first day and all.

"So, that was an eventful first day" Percy chuckles, as Izuku looks at him questioningly "Well, I guess you could say that"

"I still can't believe you talked to sensei like that Percy, weren't you scared?" Izuku asks Percy, not being able to know how he did what he did, if he was in Percy's shoes, he wouldn't even have been able to utter a word with Aizawa's intimidating look, coupled with his fierce stare.

"I was definitely nervous, his glare was really scary, but I couldn't allow him to talk like that to you"

"But why? I mean, I'm used to hearing those kinds of words" Izuku says, remembering Katsuki's and his old classmates' words to him.

"Even if you're used to it, no one has a right to say that to you, least of all him, he doesn't know what you went through and how much you endured to get to where you are now. You earned your right to study here like me and everyone else, so you're definitely more than worthy to become a hero like everyone else here" Percy says, as Izuku smiles widely at Percy.

"Thank you Percy"

"No problem" Izuku says, before getting surprised, as a hand rests on his shoulder, making him jump in shock, making both he and Percy pause, before turning around to see that it was only Iida.

"Oh hey Iida"

"Hi Iida"

Percy and Izuku both greet him, as Iida returns the favour "Greetings, Percy and Izuku"

Iida nods at Percy, who returns the gesture, as Iida turns to Izuku with a look of slight concern "Is your finger better?"

"Yes, all thanks to Recovery Girl" Izuku awkwardly chuckles softly, not used to talking to new people, as he shows Iida his bandaged finger.

"So Iida, want to walk together?" Percy offers, as Iida bows in response "It would be my honour!"

"Okay then" Percy smiles, as the trio walks together amidst the other students who were also on their way home, Iida walking by Izuku's side, who was in between Iida and Percy.

"When Mr. Aizawa actually expelled that person, it was shocking. Who knew he was being serious. I can feel that it's only going to get more intense and even stricter from here on out, so all of us, as aspiring heroes, should work even harder. On that note, I actually liked Mr. Aizawa's method with teaching, I think this will be an interesting year" Iida says, speaking his thoughts out loud with his arms crossed, as the trio walked together.

Percy had slung the left arm of his backpack over his shoulder, holding onto it with his left arm, as he walked, grinning excitedly at Iida's words.

"Yeah, it'll be very interesting"

They all walked in a peaceful silence, which didn't last very long, as someone shouted from behind them "OIIIIIIIII!"

The trio turned around in unison towards the direction of the voice to see Uraraka running to them with a beaming smile on her face. They all recognised her of course, as she was their classmate and the girl who both Percy and Izuku had seen when the latter had gotten his results.

"Hey you three! Are you going to the station?"

"Wait for mee!" Uraraka shouts, making the trio pause, waiting for the brown-haired girl to catch up to them.

"You're that infinity girl" Iida points out, not knowing her name, but Izuku and Percy did, as they greet her.

"Uraraka?"

"Hey Uraraka" Percy says, as she catches up to them, smiling at the three, before going to correct Iida, introducing herself.

"I'm Uraraka Ochako" Uraraka says, and cuts off all three boys from introducing themselves to call out their names, knowing all three of theirs.

"You're Tenya Iida" She looks at him, before turning to Izuku "You're Deku Midoriya" Then turning to Percy last "And you're Percy Jackson"

Percy and Izuku both grow puzzled looks at the name "Deku?" Both asked, as Percy looked at her skeptical as to how she learned about that nickname, which was given by Bakugo. Iida was also confused, though not for the same reason, as he looked at Izuku, not knowing that was his name, thinking it was Deku as well.

"During the physical exams earlier, that grumpy guy said" Uraraka says, talking about

Katsuki, who had called him 'Quirkless deku' during the quirk assessment tests, as Izuku gets flustered, not used to the attention, which both Uraraka and Iida were giving him, being more used to only talking with Percy, also not being used to talking to a girl. Due to being flustered, Izuku isn't able to form any words, which is where Percy comes in to interject.

"His actual name is Izuku, it's just a nickname that Katsuki, that 'grumpy dude', had been calling him ever since we were kids" Percy explains on behalf of Izuku, who replies with a shaky "Y-yeah"

"So it's an insult?" Iida asks out of curiosity, as Uraraka realises her mistake with calling him that, not knowing of the meaning behind it,

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know" Uraraka apologises, scratching the back of her head sheepishly, before continuing "But, 'Deku' sounds like 'You can do it!', so I like that name"

"I'm Deku!" Izuku replies immediately without thinking, his whole face now a lighter shade of red after the compliment, as Iida looks at him in confusion for the quick response.

"Midoriya?"

"You're shallow. Isn't it an insult?" Iida argues with Izuku's decision to be called like that, which sounded rude and inconsiderate, but Izuku didn't really care about that, blushing into an ever darker shade of red, as he covers his face with his hands.

"It's the Copernican Revolution" Izuku says, as Uraraka looks at him with a stupid look "Cope?"

Iida continues to argue with Izuku, who was cowering behind his hands, all the while Percy watches the two bicker with Uraraka joining in as well, which he chuckles at, before tapping Izuku's shoulder.

"Hey Izuku," Percy says, making Izuku turn to him with a confused look, as both Iida and Uraraka also turn to him.

"You three can go on without me, I'll be staying here for a while, because I have something to do" Percy lies, Iida and Uraraka don't detect it though, as they shrug it off, while Izuku looks at him skeptically, but decides to believe him.

"It was nice talking to you two" Percy smiles at the two new friends that he and Izuku had made on the first day, as he continues "I'll see you all tomorrow"

Iida and Uraraka smile back at Percy, both liking the fact that they made new friends with each other as well.

"It was nice to talk to you too, Percy"

"It was a pleasure to have conversed with you, Percy"

"See you tomorrow Percy" Izuku says, before walking away, following Iida, who had already turned away, walking in the opposite direction, as Uraraka follows suit, running to catch up with the other two.

Percy smiles seeing the retreating backs of the trio, as they continue to talk and bicker with each other on the way, while walking. He takes his mind then wanders into the thoughts he was having ever since he heard those words :

"Would you expect your friend over there to save you?"

Percy obviously knew that he always hangs around Izuku, ever since they were kids, he had this feeling of obligation to protect him, to help him, but those words from Aizawa made him think. They're both in their first year in U.A now, with both of them being 14, maybe it was time to let Izuku go and grow on his own.

Percy frowned slightly at the thought, enjoying all his moments with Izuku, who was like a younger brother to him, but thought about how he wouldn't be able to grow if he kept clinging onto him. He wasn't dumb, he knew if he stayed with Izuku, he'd eventually be covered by his shadow and that wouldn't help him grow as an aspiring hero, but he had hoped he could at least help Izuku more. Well, that isn't the case now, as he now knew it was time he let Izuku go to grow and learn on his own.

With that thought in mind, Percy sighs.

'I know this is for the better, but I'm gonna kinda miss saving your troublesome face' Percy chuckles, before deciding to snap out of his trance in the middle of the school, seeing some people walk by him, looking at him like he was a weirdo. He smiles awkwardly at that, before walking towards the same direction Izuku and his new friends had gone.

'Well now I guess I can focus on myself…which I have no idea how to do…well I guess I'll just wing it. Iida was right. This is going to be an interesting year'

While walking, Percy looks to the horizon, in anticipation, as he looks forward to the next days and the ones coming after, seeing a bright future ahead along with Izuku, Katsuki and newfound friends.

(The next day in the 1-A Classroom)

Now, Percy will admit that he had passed the written tests for U.A, but to add emphasis on that, he barely passed. Sure he scored the most points among everyone else and took the top spot in the entrance exams, but in terms of academics, well…

To say that it wasn't his strong suit was putting it lightly.

It took Percy a lot, and that was a lot, out of him to even study for the tests, it was something foreign for him, as though he tried his best in his old school, it wasn't really good enough, since his attention span was not the best. He always seemed to get by with mediocre grades, but that wasn't enough if he wanted to get into U.A, so he pushed his limits, which he admitted was even more tiring and exhausting than his physical training with All Might.

Alright, he gets it, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he tried and had thankfully passed the tests, which was great! But, of course he didn't expect that there'd be more "studying" once he got into U.A.

Percy tapped his desk with his finger repeatedly, feeling restless, as he forced himself to look and listen to the lecture that his English teacher, Present Mic was giving, which, not to sound rude but, was so boring. He tried to keep his eyes on the board, where Present Mic had written down English words, which Percy didn't even bother to try to understand in fear of getting a migraine.

Percy watched Present Mic turn around to face the class, as he tried his utmost to listen to the lesson.

"Which one of these sentences is incorrect?" Present Mic says, his voice sounding like the complete opposite of his usual giddy and loud self, as Percy couldn't take it anymore, slumping down on his seat, resting his head on his desk to look at what his fellow classmates were doing, while ignoring whatever Present Mic would say from there onwards.

Percy's eyes first landed on the person who was seated in front of him, Izuku, who actually looked interested and engrossed in the topic, which was good for him, as Percy's eyes wander around the classroom, before finding Iida and Uraraka as well, who were much like Izuku, focused on the lecture itself, listening attentively, making Percy feel a little out of place.

His eyes soon fell upon Katsuki, who had his head rested on his hand for support, as he had an uninterested and bored look, while looking at Present Mic, seeming like he had wanted the lesson to get it over with, though Percy knew better, knowing first hand that through his hard exterior, Katsuki had a great mind, on par with even Izuku.

Taking his eyes off the blonde, he finds someone who was in a similar disposition as him, particularly looking at a familiar redhead. Kirishima looked slightly uninterested in the topic, even though he was trying to look like he was paying attention. With that in mind, Percy wanders around the classroom to find that he and Kirishima weren't the only ones having a hard time to focus, which gave the green-eyed boy some kind of consolation in knowing he wasn't the only one.

Other than the people inside the classroom, Percy, in his desperation to pass the time, looked at the classroom itself, which was quite generic in his opinion. It was like any other classroom, though a bit smaller, as there were less students occupying it. In terms of the seating, there were four rows with five students seated in each row, each row had a narrow distance between each other, making each nearby classmate just within arm's reach.

Percy sat on the far left on the back, on the fourth row and on the second to the last seat at the back, Yaoyorozu sat behind him, while Izuku sat in front. Percy couldn't complain about his seating, he quite enjoyed it, as being seated by the back did have it's benefits.

Anywho, other than that, the classroom didn't have much to it, the interior being mostly painted white, it was quite bland to be honest. And of course, you couldn't miss the huge blackboard suspended on the wall in front of the class, where Present Mic stood on top of a platform, behind a tall teacher's desk, where he rested his elbow.

His eyes had no choice left but to look at the sight in front of him where Present Mic stood, giving the class a lecture regarding…something, he couldn't even tell at this point. With no method remaining to keep himself at the edge of being slightly entertained and bored out of his mind, Percy groans, as he steels himself to at least get through this class, for there were more to come in the future and if he wanted to be a hero, he'd need to go beyond, Plus Ultra!

Percy was ecstatic! The English class had come to a close, leaving the door with Present Mic, and with it his boredom. The class had the same idea it seems, as when it was announced that it was their break, they all scurried away, running out of the classrooms and towards the cafeteria.

Percy was hungry, just like the rest, so you could bet he was one of the first to leave the class in a hurry, only to realise just seconds after that he had no idea where the cafeteria was, not being used to the campus, so using his common sense, just followed the crowd, as they seemed to know where they were going.

It didn't fail him, as his nostrils soon caught the amazing scent of food, the thought just made the famished boy drool, who had his eyes glued to the huge cafeteria where many other fellow students dined, the sight itself just made him even hungrier than he already was, his stomach growling, in need of sustenance, so without wasting any more valuable time, he took off and went to sate his body's urges.

Ignoring the fact that having marveled at the heavenly sight of the cafeteria cost him time, as he was the only one left standing, not having taken a seat nor food yet, Percy went to look for a table, but only seeing they were all mostly occupied.

He saw that Izuku had a free space, and even almost went to him, who sat alongside Uraraka and Iida, but stopped himself, wanting to give his friend space. Seeing that Izuku was smiling while talking to his new friends made Percy smile to himself, seeing that Izuku was slowly, but surely growing out of his shell.

Percy still had nowhere to sit though, realising he looked like an idiot, so he scrambled to look for a seat and thankfully locked eyes with Kirishima, who within seeing him waved his arms at Percy.

"Oi Percy! We have a free seat here, come sit with us!" Kirishima says, gesturing to the unoccupied space beside him. Percy smiles, waving back, as he walks towards Kirishima, who sat beside a guy with yellow hair "Yeah!"

Once Percy had taken his seat beside Kirishima, he looked to the person who was seated beside the redhead.

"Hey man" Percy greets the boy, who smiles back "Hey, you're…Percy, right?"

"Yep, that's me. What's your name?"

"I'm Kaminari Denki, nice to meet ya!"

Almost immediately after introducing themselves, Percy's, Kaminari's and Kirishima's stomachs had all grumbled in unison, making the trio laugh all together.

"Well, I guess we should dig in!" Kirishima says, eyeing the food in front of him hungrily alongside Kaminari, leaving Percy who had no food yet, not having ordered any yet, as he chuckles awkwardly.

The two look at Percy sympathetically, but to reassure their thoughts, knowing what they were thinking, he waves his hands "No no, it's fine, go ahead, you both can eat, while I wait for mine"

This didn't shake the boys' worries though, as Percy was hungry too, which was obvious with his famished look while he stared at their food, so they decided to wait it out, until their new friend had gotten his food as well, which Percy appreciated dearly.

Once Percy's food had landed in front of his eyes, courtesy of the cafeteria's head chef, the Cook Hero : Lunch Rush, Percy drooled, before getting his chopsticks impatiently, as he wasn't in any mood to postpone his meal any longer and neither did the other two who sat beside him.

Together the three boys shouted "Itadakimasu!" As the trio dug into their food like barbarians, devouring their food hungrily without any care in the world, even if the surrounding students were giving them disgusted looks.

The three burped loudly, feeling content with their meals, resting a hand on their slightly inflated abdomen, as the trio used the remaining time of their break to get to know each other. They smiled and laughed throughout their conversation, as Percy felt nice to meet new people, don't get him wrong, he loved Izuku and Katsuki, but it was nice to befriend new people too, it gave him a strangely alien and warm feeling inside.

It was time for their next class which was hero basics in the afternoon. This lesson made the whole class look forward to it, as they all sat excitedly while staring at the door waiting for their teacher, who they had yet to meet. Percy wasn't an exemption, as this was the class he had so eagerly anticipated the whole day.

"I am…."

This familiar voice, made the class even more elated than they already were, livening up, as a huge hulk of a man bursts through the door, capturing everyone's attention, the class' eyes being glued to their Hero Basics teacher, the Number 1 Hero, The Symbol of Peace, All Might!

"…normally entering from the door!" All Might shouts, as the class gasps, marvelling at the fact that the rumor of the famous hero teaching at U.A wasn't a lie, except for a certain two who already knew of course. All Might smiled brightly, making most of the class smile as well in awe at the hero, who with each step, gave them goosebumps, as they commented on the unexpected, but very welcome happenstance.

"It's All Might!"

"How awesome! He really is a teacher here!"

"That's his silver age costume" A girl commented at the attire the hero wore, as it wasn't like his normal one, it being All Might's old costume.

"He's so impressive, I'm getting goosebumps!"

Once All Might had gotten to the front of the class, he looked at them with pride and anticipation at their potential just as he gazed upon them for the first time, as he spoke.

"I will be teaching hero basics! To lay your foundation, all types of training will be done. It has the most units too!" All Might says, as Percy stares at the hero with excitement, awaiting on the edge of his seat for the class to begin, watching All Might turn his back on the class, before turning to face them again, but this time holding something on his hand "Today, we"ll start with this!"

"Battle Training!"

Now onto what I said at the beginning of chapter. I'll be going on a short hiatus for the time being, after this chapter is published and the next chapter of Eternity (Which, if you haven't read yet, you may read it, the first chapter is already out on my profile, please tell me what you think) is out. I'll be going on a hiatus for three weeks, might be more depending on my situation, as my health is not well, because of bronchitis. My girlfriend and friends are telling (read : forcing) me to rest, so that is what I'll be doing.

I hope you all are not too bothered, but rest assured, during my hiatus I'll still be writing, though not as much. So I hope you all understand, thank you.
