Before I opened my eyes I smelled smoke. Quickly I jumped out of my bed only to find my house was set on fire. I ran outside, taking Fred and a few other important items with me. Outside I heard the sounds of strange creatures. They were all over the village. I unsheathed my sword, ready to fight, but then I heard a sound from the cave. Wondering what was there I ran towards the cave to see what was there. At first I saw nothing, but soon I saw him. Sam. He turned towards me as I felt a sharp pain hit my head. I fell to ground and blacked out.
