Cream and Tails: Musical Maestros

(Author's Notes: Hey everyone! I hope you are doing well, and thanks to those who like this little story so far. I dedicate this chapter to the one who asked me to do this; Author danielman21, as February 3rd is his birthday! So happy birthday to you, my friend!
In this chapter, you will see Tails showcase his musical talent more & also Cream trying her hand at music. The Author who has requested I make this story has brought to my attention several music scores that will be shown here. In any case, hope you like this little piece of wholesome fluff here!

Now, on with the story!)
Tails was looking in surprise towards Cream and Cheese, stunned that his little sister and floating brother had seen & heard him play. After a moment of silence, the two-tailed fox asked in a nervous tone, "Ummm… Cream, Cheese… how much of that did you hear?".
The adorable little bunny girl answered, "Umm… just what we heard downstairs a couple of minutes ago. We tried knocking, but there was no answer. Tails, that was… that was just very pretty music you played!". Cheese agreed with her in his native language.
The two-tailed fox rubbed his head in embarrassment, as he was so engrossed in creating the music that he did not hear them knocking on his door. Cheese pointed to his violin, asking on what it was. Tails had come to learn on the Chao's language thanks to Cream's guidance, so he knew what he was saying.
He answered, "Oh, this is a violin. It's an instrument that I managed to take with me from Earth before we came back home to Mobius.". He showed it to the duo, Cream and Cheese fascinated in seeing the musical tool. The two had seen things that made music before, but they were mostly hand-made by other children. The one Tails had looked very well-crafted, such detail in it that made it look exquisite and refined. Their eyes shone with wonder and awe at beholding the violin.
After some moments, Cream was about to say something… when the sound of Vanilla called out for the trio to hear, "Tails, Cream, Cheese! Breakfast is ready! Come on in before it gets cold!".
Before Cream and Cheese could move or reply, Tails replied loudly, "Okay Mom! We're coming down!". It had taken him some time to call her that name, as he often called her Ms. Rabbit in the past. But now, he was really liking calling her by that word.
Down below, Vanilla looked pleased as Tails called her by that name. She felt a surge of warmth every time he called her Mom instead of the formal way he used to in the past, before the adoption. Feeling very good with herself, she turned and went back into the home, going to the dining room & sitting down in one of the chairs so she could wait for her family to join her.
Meanwhile, Tails looked to his siblings and whispered in an urgent tone, "Cream, Cheese! Whatever you do, don't tell Mom about this! I want to surprise her for her birthday, which is in two weeks!". This surprised the duo, but more along the lines that Tails was speaking the truth. In about two weeks' time, it would be their mother's 36th birthday! And they forgot about it!
He continued on, "I'll explain everything after breakfast, and when we're back in here, okay?". The two nodded their heads, Tails glad to see that they were in agreement. He put the violin carefully back on a desk that was behind him, then went downstairs to the Ground floor with his siblings following him.
Cream and Cheese were quite curious on when Tails was so talented with the musical tool. And more importantly, why he had kept such a talent from everyone else.
~Later on~
It was now 8:45 a.m., an hour after Tails and the others were called down for breakfast. The trio were now back in the anthro fox's workshop, all full from the wonderful breakfast made by Vanilla. The affair was quite good during the meal; good conversation between everyone, and also the children very joyful & thankful for the meal made by the mature beauty. Vanilla blushed from the compliments, taking it all with grace and motherly dignity.
When it was all said and done, the trio aided her by clearing the table and doing the dishes. Once everything was cleaned up, Tails went back to his workshop with Cream & Cheese following close behind. Vanilla wished them all a good day before leaving herself, going to the market to see on what she could get.
The moment Vanilla was gone, Cream and Cheese looked to Tails for the answers that he promised to say to them earlier.
The fox genius with robotics and other mechanical items looked to his sister and little Chao brother and started things off, "Well, I guess you want to know when I started to play the violin right?".
Cream and Cheese, sitting in front of Tails, nodded their heads with the bunny girl replying, "And also why you didn't show it to the others like Mr. Sonic and Miss Amy.".
The two-tailed talented anthro sighed a little, than presented the musical instrument for them to see. He answered, "Well to start off, Chris's mom took me and Amy to a concert hall. I think that you and Cheese stayed with Ella on that particular night.".
~Flashback~
Tails and Amy were with Lindsey Thorndyke, all three standing in front of a large building that looked quite majestic. The trio were dressed in formal attire, many people looking at the anthros but said beings paid the gawkers no mind. They were standing in front of the Royal Albert Hall in London, England!
Shortly after the little debacle with the so-called martial arts tournament, Lindsey wanted to take her family out for a little bit of high-class entertainment. Unfortunately, almost all of them had something to do. Her husband Nelson was called in for a Board of Directors meeting with his company Thorndyke Industries, her son Christopher was helping his grandfather Chuck with an invention that would be utilized against the vile villain Dr. Eggman, Cream and Cheese had wanted to stay with the maid Ella to look after the manor, Knuckles was out again on his own searching the world for anything worthwhile & Sonic was going across the globe on foot to check out more of the human planet.
So it was all down to Tails and Amy Rose, the two-tailed fox accepting the invite as he wanted to take his mind off of his troubles… not to mention the kiss that Rouge gave him during the martial arts tournament that left him speechless and blushing big time. The young fox had little experience when it came to women in certain areas, but he did secretly acknowledge that the kiss was something that made him feel funny all over.
It would be a few years or so before puberty kicked in, and his hormones would be reacting more strongly & naturally to kisses from the fair opposite sex.
The butler Mr. Tanaka managed to find some suitable wear for them, and once they were all dressed up, Lindsey took them in her private plane all the way to England in Europe! When they got there, the duo were amazed to see something different than Station Square. Of course, they got looks from the human onlookers, but they paid them no mind. Amy and Tails were treated to a little sight-seeing of London, where Lindsey showed them the various cultures and informative tidbits of the city. Needless to say, the two anthros were surprised that London held much culture and class of the classic kind. Something different from their own home world.
Nightfall soon came, and Mrs. Thorndyke brought them to their real destination, which was one of the largest concert halls in the world.
The trio entered the establishment, where scores of people of various classes came in. Lindsey directed them to their seats, which was some prime balcony seats where they could see everything on the stage.
They waited for about twenty-five minutes… than the lights dimmed down, and the musical concert was about to begin!
Needless to say, Tails and Amy soon fell in love with the classic music that was being played. They listened to Eine Kleine Nachtmusik - 2nd Movement by Mozart first, then Water Music - Suite #2 in D Major by George Frideric Handel, The 4 Seasons - Spring - 1st Movement by Antonio Vivaldi & much more! The pink hedgehog liked the music that had a romantic vibe to it, already imagining various scenarios where it would be her & Sonic in romantic moments.
For Tails, it was different. The sounds of the various instruments, the way it all blended beautifully in a way that was more dynamic than working on anything in his workshop… and also causing a stirring of the soul in a way that was more potent than anything he had experienced!
It was there that Tails had found another calling, one that did not have anything to do with mechanics or engineering. And that was classical music!
~End flashback~
Tails had a faraway look, letting out a sigh as he was a bit lost in his memories. The concert was something he would never forget, having an entirely different kind of class and style that was much different from anything else. Cream and Cheese were amazed on what he had described, wishing now they had gone with him and Amy rather than staying with Ella. Helping the strong and loveable maid was a treat yes, but now they felt they had missed out on something great.
After some moments, the two-tailed fox managed to come back to the present and looked to his siblings. He stated, "After the concert, I went to Mr. Tanaka and asked if there was a place in the manor where I could learn more of the classical music's. He showed me the Music Room, a place that had all kinds of instruments around but only he and Ella went in there to fiddle around with certain kinds they liked. I found a violin, and tried it out. And… heh, found out that I had a bit of natural talent with it.".
He continued on, "Mr. Tanaka was impressed on my first try with the violin, and actually said that he would help me to learn on how to properly play it. On the sly of course, since I didn't want the others to know about it.".
Cream had an adorable look on her face as she asked cutely, "But why didn't you want the others to know something like that, big brother?". Tails really found it endearing that Cream was now calling him that, as it made him feel more like part of the family.
He answered back with a sad smile, "I had a feeling that if anyone knew about it, like Sonic and the others, they might tease me for playing something that wasn't fast, not useable in battle and so on. I guess… I was a little afraid on what they might say if they knew I had a talent for something that is not suited for fighting or linked to machines.".
Tails's passion for machines and inventing would always burn strong and bright, but now he had something else added in, which was music. And he was afraid that if others knew of this, he would be teased and that would bring up some bad memories from his childhood before he met Sonic.
The budding violinist said with a soft tone, "Mr. Tanaka helped me to learn four pieces of music, which is what I heard before at the concert. I learned of more various kinds of songs that could be played on violin on my own, and always making sure that no one else was around when I did that.".
Cream asked, "What was that music you were playing earlier?".
He looked to her with a smile and answered, "Okay, that was a little part of Mozart's piece. Would you and Cheese like to hear the rest of it?". The two eagerly nodded their heads, wanting to hear their big brother play. Tails smiled, than told Cream to find a seat in his workshop to get comfortable in. She did so, quickly finding a chair that was in his area, picking it up and putting it over to where she was sitting on the ground earlier. She sat herself in it, and Cheese floating into her lap.
Tails smiled as he was glad to have a public audience, even if it was just his sister. He cleared his throat, bringing his violin up into position and spoke in an upper-classman kind of voice, "And now lady and Chao, I will play Eine Kleine Nachtmusik - 2nd Movementby Mozart.".
He soon started to play the piece, the music floating in the air and drifting in the room for all to hear. Cream and Cheese became entranced by the musical number, the delicate yet strong stones resonating and touching their minds and souls in a way that was special and unique. Tails had his eyes closed, feeling the music and remembering the lessons he learned from Mr. Tanaka.
His music started to attract attention, which was the small birds and mammals that occupied the trees. The small beings came closer to the anthro-made home, the music intriguing them & pulling on their curiosity. When they found the source of the music, they too became entranced and stayed put. They started to sway a little to the melody that Tails was playing.
Nearby, something else was resonating with the song. Behind Tails on a bench was a potted plant container, and inside of it was a small sprout. But it was not any kind of sapling… it was Cosmo! Yes, the seed that was given to Tails by Sonic was the last remnant of the unique Tree-being that had given her life in order to save the universe from the bio-robot being known as Dark Oak. Tails had carefully planted the seed in his workshop, and said tiny object was now taking form.
However… unbeknown to Tails, the sprout reacted to the music and glowed in a soft light. It seemed that the music he played had a positive effect on the little sapling.
When the music was complete, the two-tailed fox opened his eyes and saw that he had gained a larger audience than before. He was surprised to see the birds and small mammals there, more so when they started to chirp/squeak in applause along with Cream & Cheese! He smiled with a sweatdrop on the back of his head, but he took the ovation with dignity as he soon bowed to them.
Cream exclaimed, "Tails, that was just wonderful!". Cheese agreed with her in his own language, making the anthro genius chuckle and blush in embarrassment.
The adorable little bunny girl than had an idea and asked, "Big brother, do you think you can teach me how to play?".
This question caught Tails by surprise as he looked to her and replied in a surprised tone, "Huh? You want me to teach you how to play the violin?".
Cream smiled and answered, "Yes! Can you teach me please? I want to play something with you for Mother when her birthday comes. So, can you teach me?".
After giving her question some serious thought in his head, he looked to her and answered, "Well… I don't have an extra violin with me. But, I think I can do something better for you. I can make a flute for you, and teach you how to use it.".
The bunny girl had a puzzled look on her face as she inquired, "A flute? Really?".
Tails answered her, "Yes. I remember what flutes looked and sound like, and it would be easy to make you one here in the shop. The nearest music shop is quite a distance away, and sadly I don't have any money to get a new instrument. And even if we did and tried to go there, Mom would be a bit worried if she learned that we went somewhere far without telling her. And lastly, a bit pressed for time since we have just two weeks until her birthday.".
Cream and Cheese saw that he was right on all accounts, so she accepted it and answered back with a determined tone, "Okay big brother, I will try and learn the flue so we can make some good music for Mother!".
With a determined smile of his own on his face, Tails turned and gently put his violin near the plant container. Once it was secure, he went downstairs to get to work with his little sister and Cheese following after him.
~Meanwhile~
While this was going on, Vanilla Rabbit was in the town market as she was getting things to make for dinner later on. The mature beauty waved to her friends and neighbors, glad that things were peaceful and active. In a place where the big threat was Dr. Eggman and his robotic creations, peace like this was quite rare so one learned to enjoy it while they could.
The loving mother of Cream, Cheese and now Tails had managed to gather some fresh produce from the market, she turned to go back home… but something else happened.
A flash of light caught her eye, a glint that came from the forest near her location. Normally, most would associate the glint as a trick of the light. A reflection of kind from the sun. But Vanilla felt something… something tugging at her that the light she saw was not an ordinary one, and it was pulling on her very being.
Hesitant at first, she gathered her courage and made her way into the forest. It was quite dark, the thick branches shielding the ground floor from most of the sun. Vanilla continued on further, trying to remember where she saw that flash of light.
As she continued further in, going about 100 yards into the dense forest, Vanilla finally found the source… and what she saw surprised her.
Lying on the dirt ground was a boy. But not an anthro child… but a human one!
Vanilla let her motherly instincts take over, putting her bags of groceries down and rushing to the fallen youth. She kneeled down and gently examined him.
He looked to be seven years old, same age as Cream. He had light-brown hair, light-tan skin, light-blue t-shirt on, dark blue jean shorts and white shoes. Vanilla put a hand on his heart, glad to hear that he had a heartbeat. Normally, one would be wary around humans due to the actions & nature of Dr. Eggman. But Vanilla was not like the others, as she had learned that not all humans were bad.
She saw something around his neck, carefully moving it until she saw clearly that it was a neckpiece of sort with a laminated card holder on it. The motherly rabbit turned the card slightly to see a name in bold black letters showing the name DANIEL CLARK, and underneath it was the name in black letters Technological Revolutions Ind.
Her motherly instincts came in when she felt the child shiver a little, leaning into her touch and body warmth. Vanilla carefully picked up the human child, Daniel unconsciously snuggling into her warmth. She smiled softly, being careful as she moved back to her groceries. Picking up both bags with her left hand, and cradling the human child in her right arm, she started to walk through the forest back towards her home. She knew that if she walked back into town with a human, it might cause a ruckus and some unneeded trouble.
The mature beauty anthro rabbit knew her way through the forest, going around the town and back to her home. It was a long scenic route to be sure, but the safer for her & the new little bundle in her arms.
It seems that things were going to get interesting for the Rabbit family in the future!
(Author's Notes: And… cut! That is it for now! I hope all of you enjoyed this little chapter here. Also, Daniel Clark here is actually Author danielman21 himself, as he wanted to be in the story! Also, I looked up the ages for Cream and Vanilla and made the necessary calculations of their current age, best I could. If I missed something, please notify me.
I tried to see if there were any cities and such in the Sonic X world, but only zones and such. So I believe I may have to create some cities/villages/towns on my own, with their own names and such so that certain things like musical instruments are available to get.
And I saw this for my Author friend… HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
