Daniel, Cream & Tails: Musical Maestros

(Author's Notes: Hey everyone! I am back with another chapter for this special here! I changed the title due to Author danielman21's request. Also, I wish to apologize to said user. This would have been out earlier, but been hit with a double-whammy of allergies and a mild stomach bug. Not cool, that much I can tell you.

Just so you all know once more, after my Sonic specials are done here, going to be focusing on my own stories. And also helping some other Authors with their stories as well.
I have finished Book One of my Danny Phantom x Dragonball crossover, and will be working to finish Book One of my Star Vs. story as well. Hope to see more reviews from either of them.
Now, on with the special!)
It was about 10:45 p.m., soundwaves of music were floating in the air, coming from the workshop of Miles 'Tails' Prower-Rabbit. The noise was light, pleasant and simple. If one were to look inside the workshop, they would see that it was due to Cream Rabbit & Cheese the Chao. Tails was nearby, explaining to the duo on how certain sounds came out based on breathing, controlling the flow of air from the holes & so on.
He had managed to make two wooden flutes, which amazingly were crafted in the style of Native Americans from Earth! The wood was made of cherry, varied in length & also made for beginners like Cream and Cheese. The part where one would blow in it also had small carving; for Cream, it was the head of her! For Cream, it was the same. Tails told them that originally, the heads would be birds that were sacred to Native Americans. But for them, he managed to carve their faces on it with some impressive precision.
He also told them some interesting facts about flutes as he made them. That there were two types of wind instruments; the brass and the woodwind. Tails explained to his sister and Cheese was that while originally the groups were named due to how they were made, they were now referred to how the player produced the sounds. With certain brass-classified instruments like the horns, trumpets, trombones, etc., it was the players' lips that caused vibration, thus causing the air within the instruments to vibrate and play.
With woodwind-types like the flute, ocarina, saxophones, oboes, etc., something else vibrated within the object to produce the sounds. Needless to say, Cream and Cheese were fascinated by the information & impressed with Tails' knowledge
Once the flutes were done, and crafted so that it would be easier for them to hold and to access the holes, Tails started to teach them on what to do. And this had been going on for about two hours, the adorable bunny girl and her blue floating Chao friend getting the hang of the wind instrument.
Cream and Cheese were practicing the song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and so far they sounded good to Tails and the small animals that had come to listen in. When they were finished, the adorable bunny girl looked to her teacher and asked, "Well Tails, how was that?". Chao asked the same question, but in his own language.
The two-tailed fox smiled and answered in a positive tone, "That was pretty good! You two are quick learners, so this will give us a better chance to make a good musical present to our Mom!". This made the duo beam with wide smiles on their faces.
Before Tails could give further instruction into their instrument, they heard the sound of their mother's voice call out to them, "Tails! Cream! Cheese! I need you here in the house for a moment!". Upon hearing the mature anthro woman's voice, the trio were quick to answer her call. Cream and Cheese carefully put the flutes on the wooden table countertop next to Tails' violin, than all three rushed out of the workshop and to the abode.
When they got there, they opened the door and went into the living room to see Vanilla and… a human child sleeping on the couch? This stunned the duo, especially Tails when he was about to say something but the words died on his lips the moment he saw the human boy. Vanilla was sitting down next to the lad, a small but fluffy blanket over him.
Cream asked her mother in a curious tone, "Mother, who is that?".
The mature beauty smiled softly at her treasure and answered in a soft voice as to not arouse the child from his slumber, "Cream, Tails. This is Daniel Clark. I found him on my way home.". She explained to the children what occurred earlier, on how she found the human child & also that she had to take a longer detour back home so that no one could see him.
After hearing her tale, Tails spoke up, "I believe you did the right thing taking the long way back here. Who knows what would have happened if any other Mobian citizen saw him.". Even the two-tailed mechanical genius knew that most Mobians were not keen on humans due to Ivo Robotnik a.k.a. Eggman.
Cream got a closer look at the sleeping boy, Vanilla telling her to not do anything to disturb him. She obeyed her mother, her gaze going back to Daniel as her empathetic & kind heart went out to the boy. She looked to Tails and whispered, "Big brother, do you know of this Technological Revolutions Inc.?".
The young anthro fox lad started to dig back into his memories from Earth, in silence for a couple of moments until he found something. He answered back, "Well, I remember that several smaller companies were rising up even though Thorndyke Industries was still at the top. Among them was Technological Revolutions Inc., but that's about it.".
He asked himself mentally, 'Chris told of the time difference between his world and ours, where a year over there is equal to one month here. So… I wonder how much time has passed for something like this TRI company to expand, and also to have the capabilities of dimensional travel?'.
The boy started to stir, the anthro beings ceasing any kind of action they were doing to observe the lad. He seemed to be living out something from his memories…
~Flashback~
Young Daniel Clark was roaming around the hallways of his parents' work place, which was the Technological Revolutions Inc. company. He was looking for his father and mother, wanting to spend time with them since they rarely did.
His parents were Mathias & Torli Clark, top scientists & part of the secret Research & Development group. While they were devoted and loving parents, sad to say their job often got in the way of their parental duties. The company president and leaders often had projects coming up that needed their urgent attention, and it cropped up at the worst possible times when the parents tried to make time for their son.
While young Danny was patient and such as any child his age, he was now upset as his folks were now working on something that would cause them to miss his seventh birthday. Well, he wasn't going to put up with that! So, he dressed himself up in his own clothes and also put on the ID badge that his parents always put on him when they had to take him to their work… and managed to sneak out of the house and go to the company building! Fortunately, it was quite close to their abode as the company wanted their top techs and workers to be able to come quickly when called.
The lad amazingly managed to sneak in facility, going past security checkpoints with ease as his small frame allowed him to squeeze through tight spaces.
When he arrived in the building, he kept to the shadows as he did not want anyone to see him except his parents. When he saw them walking down a hallway and towards a door, he was ready to jump out from the shadows to reveal himself. However, his timing was off as they just went into a door with a heavy metal lock on it. He tried to open it, but the door was securely locked. Even if he did try to use his ID card on it, it wouldn't work since it was not keyed to it.
Daniel looked around, and soon found an air vent grate near the door. It was quite small, impossible for an adult to fit through… but just snug enough for a child to get through! He looked around the place, going into a room which was a supply closet, finding the right tool which was an Allen Security screwdriver, going to the grate and unscrewing the bolts off. During the times when he was with his parents, his father Mathias showed him the different kinds of tools that was in his workshop & how to properly use them.
The young lad managed to get the bolts off, take the grate off from the wall and squeeze into the small space. He wiggled like a little earthworm as he made his way through the vent.
When he managed to reach the other side and into the room his parents had gone into, coming out from the vent… he was amazed on what he saw!
The room looked to be quite futuristic, with smoke coming out from various machine parts. People were working around there, scurrying to various devices like ants at a colony. Danny looked down from the place he was on, which was a railing that was high above the place. Fortunately, he did not have much problem with heights.
He continued to walk on the metal walkway, taking some stairs down towards the ground floor. He continued to stick to the shadows, moving along the edge of the wall as he was now in a room full of strangers that he did not recognize. He sadly didn't see his parents among the many faces that wore white lab coats.
The young lad soon was near a room that had widows on it, and he peered in to see that it was an office of some sort. He also saw many pictures on a large board… pictures of Sonic the Hedgehog! Danny's eyes widen, as he had been told tales of the anthro being that had come from a different world called Mobius. He also saw other pictures around Sonic, ones that Danny had memorized for some time. He saw Tails, Knuckles, Big the Cat, Vector the Crocodile, Charmy Bee, Espio the Chameleon, Rouge the Bat, Shadow the Hedgehog… and his eyes landed on Cream the Rabbit and her mother Vanilla.
Out of all the beings that he was told of, it was the two rabbits that caught his attention the most. He had heard tales of the cuteness and bravery of both female anthros, and truth be told… he often wished that his mother was more like Vanilla. Torli was a good mother to be sure, but he wished that she was more like Vanilla since he heard the stories of her being there always for her daughter.
He also wished to see Cream, to see if she could be a big sister to him since he was an only child. In his view, she would be the perfect playmate for him on the many days when he was lonely.
The pictures were in a ring formation, and in the middle was a huge device that Danny did not know what it was. What he did not know was that was the secret project his parents were working on… a dimensional device capable of sending beings from Earth to the Mobius dimension!
Technological Revolutions Inc. had learned of a portal generator that their rivals, Thorndyke Industries, managed to build that was later proven to work as they had sent Chris Thorndyke to Sonic's dimensional home. Now they were working on building their own, one that could be capable of breaking through the dimensional barriers and get to the place where the anthro beings called home.
The young lad continued to sneak around, until he saw another chamber within the room. It was made of clear reinforced tempered glass, and within the chamber was a small rise that went up to the ring portal device that Danny had seen earlier in the office. He also saw his parents within the chamber, talking with another person as they looked over the device!
Danny was excited to see his parents, but decided to wait until they were out of the room. A few moments later, they did… and a male voice came over the loud speaker, "ATTENTION, ATTENTION! CLEAR THE AREA! TESTING IS ABOUT TO COMMENCE! STAND CLEAR OF PLATFORM AS PORTAL TO MOBIUS WILL BE ACTIVE! ALL PERSONNEL, CLEAR THE AREA!".
The child saw everyone getting a good distance from the chamber, the lights darkening as power was now being transferred to the device. All were watching in hope that all of their time, the many days/weeks/months of theories and calculations would all combine together to execute a plan they hoped would come true.
The ring device started to glow a brilliant golden color, pulsing with electric beats like a heart. It was faint, then started to become more rapid in sound & in pulses. Danny's attention shifted from his parents to the device, the color grabbing his attention as he was mystified by it. As if in a trance, he started to make his way towards the chamber… and no one saw him, as they were focused on the device intently.
After five minutes had passed… the golden colors changed to white, and the pulsing & beats ceased! Within the ring center was energy of white, flowing like liquid. They had done it! They had managed to open a stable portal! The various scientists/engineers/workers all cheered as they had done what was deemed impossible by most! Everyone was in celebration, including Danny's parents as they hugged one another that their efforts had born good fruit.
This happened for some moments, until a female voice called out, "Hey! Who brought the kid in?!".
All turned their eyes to the chamber, expanding their vision to see a child was in the glass chamber, walking towards the portal! And video cameras inside the chamber revealed on the monitors to be… Danny! His parents gasped in awe and in bewilderment, wondering how their son even got to the facility on his own! Torli was the first to act, dropping her notepad quickly and rushing out from the room she was in. Her husband followed the same, both adults rushing towards the chamber & calling out to their son.
Sad for them though, the glass was soundproof and the door to the chamber locked automatically due to the experiment still in process. They would need a Master Override code, which only the Research President had & he was in a meeting with the other leaders of the company!
Danny heard very faint bangs behind him, but it was nothing compared to the beauty of the white portal he was looking into. He slowly reached out to touch it, and the moment his hand made the connection, he felt a tingling sensation racing all over his form similar to how one gets static electricity… and he was immediately sucked in!
The young Clark lad screamed loudly in fright as he was taken into the dimensional vortex, tumbling about like change in a drying machine! He was subjected flying fast, zooming ahead towards his destination! He saw multi-colored lights all around him, which disoriented his vision as it was too much for his eyes. A kind of sensory overload took place, the extreme sensation of being pulled and subjected to all of this causing his mind to go into a kind of shut down. He closed his eyes and embraced darkness, the portal soon spitting him out when the destination was reached, which was the forest that Vanilla had found him in.
He had arrived on Mobius!
~End flashback~
Danny moaned as he started to stir, his mind coming back on so to speak. The first thing he felt was warmth, a kind of warmth that he had missed since he was little. The kind that he felt when his mother would wrap a fluffy blanket around him and sing him to sleep. His ears picked up soft sounds, unfamiliar ones yes… yet, had a loving, caring quality and substance to it that made him feel more at ease.
His eyes opened up slowly, his vision out of focus as he was still getting his bearings back. Once Danny's eyes and brain managed to get back in suitable shape, he looked around to see that he was in a home of sort. Not the apartment one that he had been living in, but an old-fashioned home that spoke of comfort and warmth.
He turned his eyes… and soon saw the form and face of Vanilla Rabbit! The young child's eyes widened at seeing her in the flesh and blood, as he had only seen scant pictures of her! Vanilla smiled warmly to him and spoke in a motherly, soft voice, "Hey there, young man. Are you feeling better?".
Danny could not speak, as he was very much surprised to see her. And turning his head… he saw Cream, Cheese and Tails! He was seeing in the flesh and blood the beings that were spoken of in many tales from his classroom and other friends! Tails offered a nervous smile, while Cream smiled brightly and waved to him! Cheese did the same from her left shoulder area in which he was perched on.
And that is how Daniel Clark had come to Mobius!
(Author's Notes: And… cut! That is done for now. Short chapter I know, but I believe it is best to stop here and make some more longer plans for the next chapter in the future.
Now that we got how Daniel got to Sonic's word, most likely now it can be easier and smoother ride from here on in for the plot to be filled in. Much more time and effort is needed for this story, so will do my best again in the future.
