Daniel, Cream & Tails: Musical Maestros

(Author's Notes: Hey everyone! How are you all doing? I am doing good, trying to keep cool as best I can in my home state of Texas.

Before I do anything else, I wish to give glory and honor to the Lord. Thank you God for everything! Thank you for helping me, thank you for looking after my family and friends & thank you for helping those that need you so much. Things are getting more crazy and dangerous in this world of ours God, and we need your guidance and truth more than ever before. I ask you Jesus Christ to continue to lending us your Holy Spirit, to aid us in our fight against the poisonous and wrong stuff that is sadly infecting and corrupting the nation & people worse than any of the Coronavirus & its variants.

I also ask you Jesus to send us some much needed rain, not just here in Texas but in all the parts of the world that need your life-giving cool water. I believe at this point in time, anywhere between twenty to thirty days of non-stop straight rain is needed to really balance out and restore the drought we are experiencing. Please send to us your cool rain, please.

I wish to do this for my Tia Pamela Espurova-Allen. She is working with police and other official groups to locate and bring home a missing girl that is part of a family she works with & has befriended. Her name is Lina Khil, a little girl that was taken on December 20th, 2021. The search is still on for her, but so far… no luck.

Her information is this: She is three years old, hair brown, eyes brown, race Afghan, weight 55 lbs. & height 4'0. If any can help to locate and find her, please do so and notify the proper authorities. Hoping and praying still that she is found alive & returned to her family.

I want to send a strong thank you to my friend Author danielman21, the one who had requested I make this story. His enthusiasm and positive energy for this story and his ideas are truly something, and have helped me to flesh out the special more. So thank you danielman21 for your ideas and suggestions, and also for your patience as well.

I still hope to see some reviews for the stories I have written such as my Star Vs. story & my Danny Phantom x Dragonball crossover. My own projects are put on hold for now until I finish up with this and other ones. It might take a while, but hopefully I can get back to my own projects as best I can.

I do not own the plot, my new Author friend does. Neither of us own Sonic X, as it is a television animated series that was created in Japan. It was directed by Haijime Kamegaki, produced by Takeshi Sasamura & Tadahito Matsumoto. The original network is was broadcasted from is TV Tokyo in Japan, and in the United States by many other networks such as Disney Channel, Jetix, Fox, 4Kids TV and more. It ran from April 2003 to April 2005.

Also, will be utilizing a level or so from the video game Sonic Forces even though I have never played the game itself.

Now, on with the story!)

It was 11:30 a.m. in the city known as Music Bay, a place that was near the ocean in the western lands on the planet Mobius. The place had been founded long ago by anthros who loved to play & listen to music. They had gotten inspiration when coming to the bay area, and soon started to build a city that was dedicated to music. It started small at first, but it quickly started to grow and expand by those who came to the town to expand their love of the arts. Others who were architect wonders and geniuses who loved to experiment came, and soon the mixing of certain aspects and ideas came to be.

In the span of just five years after the founding, Music Bay quickly became a metropolis that kind that would rival any other major city on the planet!

Sidewalks were designed to look like keyboards, and interestingly enough, would give off a musical note like a keyboard if one would step on them. Traffic lights gave off trumpeting sounds like a horn, each one different depending on the lights that flashed on. And finally, a tuba-sounding alarm that would warn others when Dr. Robotnik a.k.a. Eggman would be coming.

When that particular alarm sounded off, everyone was cleared off the streets and having a unique shielding come up around the city and some of the coastal areas that was legally theirs. While Tails was a genius in his own right, he was not the only one in Mobius. Clever engineers had managed to create a very special kind of energy shield that utilized sonic waves.

The shield was built on harmonics, vibrations that repelled anything that touched it with explosive force. Energy beams were reflected directly back at the one who shot it, and also explosives detonated but the fire & shockwave were held back. It could be disabled if found at the right frequency, but the engineers had designed it so that it switched to different multiple frequencies quickly.

Robotnik had often tried to acquire the city, to make it into a base and part of this so-called Eggman Empire. But he was repelled by the city's main defense, and even though the human doctor was clever to almost find the frequency to shut off the shield, he was stumped when it changed quickly to a different one that actually frustrated him.

So far, the bay city had managed to resist the attempts of Robotnik… but for how long still, that was always a coin toss.

But right now, things were peaceful in the city. The anthros that made the place their home, and visitors from other towns, went to and fro about their business. Among the tourists was the lovely and beautiful Amy Rose, the pink hedgehog at the store known as Data's Delights. It was a music store that was run by an anthro hawk that went by the name of Seeker, who had an ear for anything that could make unusual/unique/beautiful sounds.

Amy was looking for the instruments that Tails had requested earlier, which was a violin and a keyboard piano. And… something else that she believed would come handy in the future. After hearing Tails' secret concerning his love of music, she wanted to give the young fox something extra. In her view, the mechanical genius deserved to have something more than just what he requested.

She had visited some shops around, but so far none of them had good enough quality instruments, at least in her taste. This was the last store in the city, but it seemed that the quality of instruments in the establishment looked to be better. A bit pricier yes, but better.

Seeker looked to his customer and inquired, "Do you need some help Miss Hedgehog?".

Amy looked to the middle-aged anthro bird and answered in politely, "Yes sir. I am looking for a top quality violin, a keyboard piano, an acoustic guitar & a harp?". Miss Rose actually wanted to try the harp out, as it was an instrument that produced lovely sounds after hearing it from the concert back on Earth.

The keeper of the store smiled and stated with confidence, "Well than, you have come to the right place! Here, let me show you what I have. First, the violins!". He guided her to a specific spot at the place where he sold the string instruments, showcasing to her a line of truly top quality violins. What Amy did not know was that these particular models were on level of the rare & extraordinary Stradivarius violins back on Earth! Those kinds of violins were the undisputed leaders when it comes to making such beautiful sounds when played right.

The pink hedgehog was very much taken in by the beautiful selection before her as she spoke in an awed tone, "Oh wow! Now this is quite the selection!". She also saw the price tags on it, and winced a little as some were quite high in the Ring range. However, she shook it off and had a feel of determination coming up from inside. She was going to get the best for Tails, even if it would nearly deplete her Checking account.

Seeker looked very pleased with himself as it showed on his face & replied, "I'm glad you feel that way miss! And also, take a look behind you. That is where the other instruments you are looking for are at.".

Amy did so, soon her eyes widening slightly at seeing the various guitars & harps that were against the wall! Some were on stands as they were large and bulky. The pink hedgehog's eyes went from the variously styled acoustic guitars, wondering which one would be suitable for Tails and his surprise for Vanilla. She also looked to the harps that were also on sale, many ranging from small that could be held in one hand to one that she saw at the concert that looked that only a very strong person could even lift off the ground!

She spoke up with surprise in her voice, "Oh my… it seems that I may be here for a while to see which one to buy." And indeed, it would take some time for her to make a selection. And it would make Tails and the others to wait a bit more for her, but it would be worth it in the end.

~At Tails' Workshop~

While Amy was doing her shopping, Tails was back in his workshop. He was watering the potted plant that contained his best female friend Cosmo, the little sprout wiggling a little from the nutrient-rich water bath. The two-tailed fox smiled, but it soon morphed into a worried frown. He asked himself quietly, "How long must I wait for Cosmo to fully be back? I mean… I know it takes some time for plants to grow but… in Cosmos's case, how long will it take?".

He heard some laughing outside, putting down his watering can and going to a window nearby. He looked down, and his smile returned at seeing the scene down below. Near the house, Daniel and Cream were bouncing on something, going up and down in the air. It was not a trampoline that one would assume, but rather… it was a large Japanese-style umbrella! And holding up the umbrella was their friend, the immense but big-hearted being known as Big the Cat!

Tails chuckled softly as he remembered what had occurred about 30 minutes ago:

~Flashback~

Daniel and Cream had been playing in the secret garden area, childlike innocence and laughter filling the air that created something that was truly a wonder to behold as such a thing nowadays was vanishing. The human, anthro bunny child and Chao were enjoying the simple sights/smells/feel of nature all around them. It was then that Tails had found them, the duo stopping their playing in the fields and going to the fox. The mechanical/engineering boy wonder smiled as he greeted the duo, soon turning to Danny and giving him the good news.

Needless to say, the little human from Earth was just ecstatic to hear the news that his parents were on Mobius! He took Cream's hands into his, the duo jumping up and down in delight at hearing the news. Cheese joined in, making it a three-way circle cheerfest of sort.

The cheering lasted for a few moments before something sounded off… something big. Daniel and the others stopped, looking towards the woods as they heard something rustling through the foliage… and from the sound of it, it was heading towards them!

The little human child was scared, as images of what happened involving the mother bear rose up quickly to his mind. Tails took a stance, at the ready to defend his sister and friend if need be. Cream held Danny close, also a little worried herself but she was more concerned about her new friend. Cheese held onto her as well, a look of worry on his face.

However… all concern disappeared when emerging from the forest was a familiar face! Tails smiled and said to Danny, "It's okay Daniel! It's okay! He's a friend of ours.".

The little boy opened his eyes and peeked out… and his eyes widened to see that lumbering towards them and coming into plain view was a large, purple-furred anthro cat with a big white belly, rather large ears, brown gloves, brown sandal shoes, a big yellow belt around his belly, yellow eyes, carrying a fishing pole & and umbrella that was latched onto his back. On his head was a rather large green frog.

Cream beamed big time and exclaimed, "Mr. Big! Hello there!". Cheese also waved to the furry feline, cheering out in his native tongue while smiling as well. Danny was in amazement at seeing the large cat. While he had only seen picture of him back at his parent's office, Danny remembered Big a bit more than most others back on Earth. While Big was often under the radar due to not having anything impressive like Sonic's speed or Knuckles' strength, he was popular to Danny due to being large and huggable like a giant plushie.

And seeing him in the flesh and blood, he started to see why he was named Big. He looked to be as big as the mother bear he once saw!

Big smiled at them, waving at the group and replying, "Hello there Tails, Cream and Cheese! Nice to see you! Say hello too, Froggy.". Said amphibian on his head croaked loudly, his way of saying hello to the others. Tails went over to Big, giving him a high-five which he returned. Big than looked to Cream and Cheese, his eyes now noticing the human in the bunny's arms.

He inquired, "Who is that? New friend?". Danny's nervousness came back, still scared due to Big's size.

Cream looked to her new friend with sympathy in her eyes, realizing that he was scared most likely due to Big being as… well, big to the mother bear that had scared him off some time ago. She rubbed the back of the human child and spoke softly and gently, "It's okay Danny. That is Big and Froggy, our friends. They won't hurt you.". Cheese gave in his two cents, vouching for his friend/sister.

Danny slowly looked more towards Big, who stood still and just waited there patiently. Slowly, but surely the nervousness from Danny started to fade away. Cream sensed this due to her high empathy ability, soon smiling and gently coaxing Danny to follow her. He did, the two walking towards Big. The little human still was nervous the closer he got, but he kept on walking thanks to Cream. He trusted her, and felt she would not do anything to bring harm to him.

Soon, he was standing in front of the towering anthro cat who was now looking down at him with those yellow eyes of his. Danny gulped, feeling quite small and vulnerable underneath the gaze of Big. However, that changed when Big moved and slowly let out his hand to the human, in a gesture for a handshake. Daniel looked to Cream and Cheese, the duo smiling and nodding their heads in a gesture to accept the handshake.

Slowly, Daniel extended his right hand and soon grasped the one belonging to Big. Said being than slowly shook his hand up and down gently, Danny now feeling better as truly the behemoth did not mean any kind of harm. He returned the gesture, much to the delight of Cream and the others.

After some time, Big released the hand of the human who was now looking up at him in awe. The friend of Cream looked towards Tails and asked, "Is he new friend? What's his name?".

Tails than started to explain to Big the situation with Daniel Clark. While he was speaking, Cream gestured to her new friend to follow her which he did. She told him to watch what she and Cheese would do to Big, telling her floating blue Chao friend to go to Big's other side. Cheese saluted, flying to where he was on the right side of Big.

Cream looked to Danny, smiled… and pushed against Big with both her hands! Danny was puzzled, until he saw that Big was now wobbling like Jell-O but still situated where he was. His belly and sides rippled and moved like a flag in the wind… a rather large and fleshy flag. Cheese grinned and pushed back, where the sides now went back to Cream and Danny.

During all this time, Big didn't seem to mind at all as he was listening to Tails' explanation! This made Danny giggle as he saw the waves of flesh moving around like gelatin, and was soon encouraged by Cream to join her. Soon, it became a fun little game as the kids chuckled/giggled at seeing Big's belly move like so!

~End flashback~

And that is what happened earlier. They managed to convince Big to come to the Rabbit's household so that he can get better acquainted with Danny & also to have their large friend join them for lunch. Big accepted, apparently a big fan of Vanilla's cooking. As they walked, Big told them that he was fishing nearby until he heard noises nearby. He went to check it out, and as it turned out it was Cream and Danny plus Cheese playing in the fields that got his attention.

Danny was no longer nervous around Big, but he was still cautious due to the cat's large size.

When they arrived back at the Rabbit abode, Tails opened the door and called out for his mother. When Vanilla came to see what her adopted son needed, she was surprised to see Big who was standing outside the doorway as it was too slim and small for his large frame. Tails and Cream asked if Big could stay for lunch, in which she smiled and nodded her head.

This pleased everyone, of course.

Now with Vanilla preoccupied in making more food and drink for lunch, everyone was now doing their own thing. Tails went back to his workshop, and Danny decided to play more with his new friends. When Cream told him on what Big could do with his umbrella… well, needless to say he was excited to find out if it was true.

And indeed it was, as the umbrella's fabric and frame were strong enough to hold the combined weight of the bunny girl and human child as they bounced & rolled on the object while Big kept on twirling it & holding it steady.

Tails was pleased that Daniel was having a good time, and was very much hoping to hear back soon from Team Chaotix about the situation with his parents. He knew it would take them some time to get from their location to the Casino Forest, about twelve hours or so & that was by plane. There were special Warp Zones that were on Mobius that were used to travel from one place to another quickly. However, the Warp Zones had started to become unstable.

The traveling zones had started to spit out travelers to unknown destinations and missed spots. In fact, it would be considered lucky at all if one using the Zones would get to their destination intact!

While there was many theories concerning that, the majority theory that was accepted even by Tails was that the zones were starting to break down. The overuse of the Chaos Emeralds in a short span of time had actually started to weaken the dimensional zones around the planet due to their explosive chaotic energy. They would be stable to use again… in about fifty years or so, give or take. But for now, it was dangerous to use them & quite risky.

Combine that with how dense the jungle was, it would be some time before Vector and the others would find their quarry… hopefully in one piece. Shaking any negative thoughts out of his head, Tails gave the others down below one last look before turning around to go back to watering Cosmo.

However, he was only able to make two steps when Vanilla voice called out, "Everyone, lunch is ready!".

Tails turned around in time to see Daniel and Cream yelling both in joy, his little adopted sister taking Danny by the arms and using her flight capability to carry & bring him back down to the ground with her. Big folded up his umbrella, putting it back behind him while Froggy who was still on his head croaked loudly. The anthro fox grinned and rushed out of his area, always wanting to try out any tasty treat from Vanilla. She put much love and care into what she made, be it simple or intricate.

Said beautiful mature bunny woman came out of the house with a warm, loving smile on her face as she brought in a large plate that was filled with sandwiches. But these were different, as they had different kinds of jellies in between the bread slices. She set them on the outdoor table that was in the front lawn, as Big was just simple too large to fit through any of the doorways & she believed that everyone needed to be together now.

Danny and Cream rushed over to her, Cheese following close behind while Big and Tails took a slightly more leisurely place. When she set the plate down, Danny was the first to notice that something different was about the sandwiches. He looked up Vanilla and asked, "Excuse me Ms. Vanilla but… what sandwiches are these? They look different from ones back home.".

Vanilla gave the little human child a warm patient smile & answered him, "Oh yes, these are jelly bread sandwiches. I put different jellies in each sandwich, and some are mixed together.".

Cream told her new friend that her mother was good at making jelly jam; that she made grape, blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, gooseberry, plum and more fruity kinds of jams. This surprised Danny, as the usual sandwiches he got from his parents either had bologna, turkey or ham meat slices in it, along with cheese, mustard or mayonnaise. And with certain parts like tomato slices or lettuce leaves.

And as for jams, it would usually be grape with peanut butter. So this was all new for him.

Vanilla looked to Tails and asked if he could bring in the large pitcher on the kitchen table that was filled with sweet tea with lemon juice in them. Along with some paper plates and cups as well. The two-tailed fox nodded his head, rushing inside the home to fulfill the request from his mother.

Big already took a sandwich off of the plate, tearing a small chunk off and feeding to Froggy on his head. The amphibian quickly struck out with his tongue, the piece of sandwich sticking to it and reeling it fast inside his mouth! The action was so fast, Danny was impressed by it. Not as fast as a chameleon's tongue was, but it was still pretty quick.

The little frog swallowed it whole, than hopped up and down while croaking in delight. Big smiled as he heard & felt his friend's happiness, soon gulping down the rest of his sandwich in one gulp! Cream and Cheese took a sandwich each, taking a bite and soon looking like they went to heaven. Cream exclaimed in delightful tone, "Oooh! I got raspberry jam! What did you get Cheese?".

The little blue Chao announced excitedly in his own native tongue that he had gotten blueberry & plum mixed in together. Tails came back with a large clear pitcher of sweet tea on his right hand, and some paper plates and cups on said objects in his left hand. He set the objects down on the table, then proceeded to take a sandwich for his own.

The mechanical/engineering genius took a bite into it, soon having an expression on his face like the others that showed he also went to a heavenly place. He spoke in a joyful tone as well, "Mmmmm! Peach and gooseberry! Mom, this so sweet! Heh, pun intended!".

Vanilla giggled softly and replied, "Hehehehe… well thank you Tails!". She looked to Danny and asked on what sandwich he would like to try. The small human looked at the pyramid of food, than pointed to the one that had golden jelly in it. Vanilla smiled and got said sandwich for the little one, putting it on one of the plates and giving it to Daniel.

She spoke with a little bit of pride in her voice, "I think you'll like this one. This has apple jelly in it.". Daniel looked at the sandwich, sniffed it a little and took a little nibble of it. The mature motherly rabbit smiled as she saw this, Danny's actions reminded her of the small woodland creatures that would come out to her when she had crumbs or leftovers & she gave them some.

Soon… Danny's face showed a dreamy expression like the others had, his face filled with simple but sweet pleasure at what was assaulting his taste buds. He soon exclaimed, "Yum! That was good!". He then started to devour his sandwich, making Vanilla smile and giggle at the silly actions of the human child.

Time flew by as the others rested and ate their lunch in peace, the sun shining and the wind putting up a gentle breeze to keep everything & everyone cool. It was truly an idyllic scene. As they ate and drank their fill, Danny was told various stories by Tails and the others about their adventures. The little guy hung on every word that was spoken by his new friends, feeling very much at peace and secure now.

It was about 12:30 p.m., and Tails had just finished up his story on how he, Sonic and the others had met Shadow back on Earth… when the wind started to pick up, causing some of the paper plates and cups to fly off! Cheese, Cream and Tails managed to get some before they could fly completely away, Danny soon clinging to Vanilla as he felt scared now. The beautiful rabbit held him close, wondering where the wind was coming from.

Big looked up, soon pointing upward as well and exclaimed, "Lookie! A plane!".

The others looked up, and sure enough, a plane was hovering above the house! It was the down-draft caused by the thrusters that was blowing out the strong wind. Tails grinned as he saw the color and outline of the craft and exclaimed, "Hey! It's Amy! She's here!".

Indeed, the craft was Amy's spaceship! The vehicle hovered over the house before moving to a spot near the house, which was close to Tails' workshop. Wheels opened up beneath the ship, making a perfect landing gently on the ground. Once it was fully on the ground, the wings retracted and seemed to fold in on itself until the sharp edges were gone.

Tails had actually modified the craft so that it could function as a ship, and as a car vehicle when need be, giving it two modes to change into. He was considering making it into a submersible of sort, but only with Amy's permission. The canopy opened up and hopping out & onto the ground was the lovely pink hedgehog herself!

Cream, Cheese and Tails put down the plates & cups that had flown away earlier back on the table, the adorable bunny girl exclaiming in delight, "Miss Amy! You're here!". They soon went to her, Tails following after them.

Daniel still clung to Vanilla, who gently rubbed his back and whispered soothingly, "Come on Daniel. It's alright. It's just Amy Rose, our friend.". Hearing the name made him think back on the pictures from before back home, the young human slowly opening his eyes… and his eyes widened at seeing something he deemed very pretty. Although he was still too young to understand the fair and beautiful opposite sex, he soon found himself drawn to the pink hedgehog who greeted the others with a warm smile.

When her gaze turned to him, he froze up. He was completely taken in by her beauty, his cheeks blossoming a red color. Amy smiled at the cute little human, going to him and extending out her right hand and saying with warmth in her tone, "Hi there! You must be Daniel, the one Tails told me about. Nice to meet you! My name is Amy Rose Hedgehog!".

Daniel managed to shake his head out of the puppy-love stupor, shakily reaching out with his own hand to shake hers and stuttering, "H-Hi Miss Rose! M-My name is Danny Clark. N-Nice to meet y-you!".

Amy was a bit perplexed by the stuttering and slightly rosy cheeks on Daniel's face, but that made him look all the more adorable in her view. Cream and Tails both smiled, seeing that the little human was having his very first puppy-love crush. Big was confused on the whole thing, but didn't say anything. Neither did Cheese or Froggy.

Vanilla smiled at the sight, knowing what was going on like Tails and Cream knew. She walked over to Amy and asked, "Hello there Amy. I believe Tails asked you to come over and help with our new friend here?". She put a gentle hand on the shoulder of Daniel, who realized that he was holding onto to Amy's hand longer than he should have been. He yelped and hid behind Vanilla to his own embarrassment, making the ladies giggle softly at the antics of the young man.

Amy looked to Vanilla and answered, "Yup! Tails told me everything, and I am here to help out as best I can!".

She then turned to Tails and asked, "Say Tails, I got you something for your workshop. It's in the trunk, so can you please take it up there? I need to speak to Vanilla about Daniel alone in her house.". The two-tailed fox quickly put the pieces together, nodding his head and watching as the two women plus Danny went into the abode.

When they were fully in, Tails went to the back of the craft and pushed the button that opened the trunk. Cream felt that something was off, going to her adopted brother and asked, "Tails, what is going on? I know that Amy is your friend and all, but I don't think that she knows what your shop needs.".

While Amy was quite knowledgeable and smart in her own right, when it came to technology and work parts… not exactly her area of expertise. Tails looked to his little sister, smirking and answering, "I told Amy everything regarding my little secret with music, and also on Vanilla's birthday! When she answered my call, she told me she was at Music Bay, so…".

He looked back to the trunk of the spacecraft, his smirking growing large as he reached in and pulled out… a box that showed the violin that Amy had gotten for him! Cream and Cheese gasped as they saw the instrument, now realizing what was going on. Amy had lured Vanilla away so that she would not see the instrument, and that Tails and her & Cheese could start learning music in preparation for their mother's party!

Tails looked back in the trunk and saw more stuff within it. He looked to Cream and said quietly enough so that they would not be overheard, "Cream, there is more stuff there! Come on, you and Cheese get the others. And Big, will you help us out too?".

Cream and Cheese nodded their heads, going into the trunk and taking out the boxes that held a keyboard piano & acoustic guitar respectively. Big reached in and took out the box that carried a mini-harp within it. The three little ones, one big cat and amphibian went to the workshop, with Tails explaining things to Big and making him promise to not tell Vanilla or anyone else about the surprise.

The surprise for Vanilla's birthday was now coming along!

(Author's Notes: And… cut! That is it for this one. I apologize for not updating this earlier, but I had to work hard on Saturday for family. And believe me… it left me drained that I needed to rest for the rest of the day after that.

Before anything else is said or done, I wish to give praise and glory to the Lord. God, thank you again for looking after me. It is tough now in this day and age, but I still try to do my best for you. Continue to look after me, my family, my friends and those that still believe and trust in you Jesus. I continue to hope and pray for positive and good things to come that will overpower/overcome the mess that sadly the world has gotten itself into. My faith and trust are all in you Jesus Christ!

So Amy has arrived on the scene, and it seems that Danny has a little puppy-love crush on her! And also, Amy will be included in learning music in order to help Tails and Cream with the surprise classic concert for Vanilla. Again, I hope you like this. I also hope that my friend Author Data Seeker likes how I introduced him in it in the form of an OC character and the name of the shop Amy was in.

And as for the jelly-bread sandwiches, I actually got the idea after remembering some comic scenes from the classic series Charlie Brown, where Linus likes jelly-bread sandwiches. And since Big came over for lunch, Vanilla had to make do with what she had, best she could.

Now for the questions! Ahem…
