Lisa drove up, the long gravel driveway, to Heartland ranch. She parked her car and got out. A blond woman walked out of the front door and up to Lisa. " You must be Lisa," she said. " I'm Marion." Lisa shook her hand and said " Nice to meet you." " Can I see the horse?" asked Marion. " Of course." said Lisa. She walked to the trailer and opened the door. Star flattened her ears and went to the back of the trailer. " She's a bit shy," said Lisa. Lisa pulled a carrot out of her pocket and tried to get Star to come out. Star slowly approached her and Lisa clipped the lead to her halter. " This is Star" said Lisa. " She's beautiful," Marion commented. " How come you brought her here?" "She won't let anyone ride her," replied Lisa. " Is there any reason for Star to act this way?" asked Marion. " Was she like this when you got her?" Lisa paused " A couple years ago Star was injured in a race." " Her injures are healed, but she still won't let anyone ride her." " Ok" said Marion " I will see what I can do." Just then a man in a cowboy hat walked up to Marion. "Tim's waiting for you," said the man. " Tell him I will be there in a minute," replied Marion. Then she turned to Lisa. "This is my dad Jack," she said. " Dad this is Lisa, she is a client." " Nice to meet you," said Lisa and shook his hand. Their eyes met for a second before Lisa turned back to Star. " Let's put him in the barn," said Marion.
