Volume 4:
Chapter 1: A Galaxy Far, far Away
Luz once again sat around with Sam's kids, Amity, Gus and Willow.
She said, "alright guys. This is it. One of my biggest What If stories yet!"
Marek asked, "what's so special about this one?"
Luz said, "this is not only my longest one yet, but is also my own retelling of one of the greatest film trilogies in history! Star Wars!"
Willow asked, "Star what?"
Luz clarified, "that movie franchise that the Jedi order inspired upon visiting the human realm."
"Really", everyone said in awe.
Luz nodded as Amity said, "well then, let's hear it!"
Luz smiled as she clapped her hands together and said, "a long time ago…. In a galaxy far, far away…."
….
We see a dark planet, covered in magma and rock, an air of dread hanging by a thread over the entire place.
We go down to the surface of the planet, a vacant landing platform among the ruins of a secret base.
But then we see someone emerging from inside.
The person was wearing a dark cloak and we saw that it was a man.
But not just any man.
It was Anakin Skywalker.
Anakin then stopped as he looked towards the distance.
A ship was approaching.
It was a Naboo star skiff.
Anakin whispered, "Padme…."
Anakin then saw the ship land and then he started running towards it.
Padme came out of the ship as it landed, cradling her pregnant stomach.
Padme then ran towards her husband and hugged him.
She was trembling.
Anakin asked, "what's wrong?"
Padme said, "I…. I was worried about you…."
"Obi Wan told me terrible things", Padme said.
Anakin asked cautiously, "what kind of things?"
"He said you have turned to the dark side…. That you killed the Jedi", Padme said in sadness and fear.
Anakin looked down with a sense of worry.
"Obi-Wan is trying to turn you against me", Anakin said in anger.
"He cares about us", Padme said as she stared up at her husband.
Anakin asked, "us?"
"He knows…. He wants to help you", Padme said.
Anakin tried to feign a smile at what his wife said, hoping that she was still on his side.
"Anakin, all I want is your love", Padme said softly.
"Love won't save you, Padme. Only my new powers can do that", Anakin said to his wife.
"At what cost? You are a good person. Don't do this", Padme said in worry.
Anakin put his hands on her shoulders as his breath grew shaky for a moment. He HAD to make her understand!
"I won't lose you the way I lost my mother! I've become more powerful than any Jedi has ever dreamed of and I've done it for you. To protect you", Anakin said.
Padme began to cry as she said, "come with me. Help me raise our child. Leave everything behind while you still can!"
Anakin said, "don't you see, we don't have to run away anymore. I have brought peace to the Republic. I am more powerful than Chancellor Belos. I can overthrow him…."
Padme began to back away from him.
He continued to say, "and together, you and I can rule the galaxy! Make things the way we want to be!"
Padme said incredulously, "I don't believe it…. Obi Wan was right! You've changed!"
Anakin's anger began to rise.
"I don't want to hear any more about Obi-Wan. The Jedi turned against me. Don't you turn against me", Anakin said as he glared at his wife.
"I don't know you anymore. Anakin, you're breaking my heart", Padme sobbed.
Anakin's anger began to outweigh his better judgment.
"I'll never stop loving you, but you are going down a path I can't follow", Padme cried.
Anakin asked in anger, "because of Obi-Wan?"
Padme cried, "because of you! Because of what you've done!"
That's when Anakin noticed someone else at the entrance of the ship.
It was Obi Wan Kenobi.
Padme cried, "stop! Stop, come back, please! I love you!"
Anakin snarled, "LIAR!"
Padme turns around and sees Obi Wan standing in the doorway of the Naboo Cruiser.
"No", Padme cried in shock.
"You're with him. You've betrayed me! You brought him here to kill me", Anakin shouted in anger.
Anakin launched his hand forward, and Padme grabbed her throat as her breath was cut off!
Tears were streaming down her face as Obi Wan yelled, "LET HER GO, ANAKIN!"
"Anakin", Padme choked out.
Obi Wan rushed forward and said, "let. Her. Go!"
Anakin then releases his grip on Padme and she falls to the ground, now unconscious.
Anakin yelled, "you've turned her against me!"
"You have done that yourself", Obi Wan said as he glared at Anakin.
Anakin then takes off his cloak.
"You will not take her from me", Anakin yelled.
Obi Wan took off his cloak and said, "your anger and your lust for power have already done that. You have allowed this…. Dark Lord, to twist your mind, until now…. Now you've become the very thing you swore to destroy."
They circle each other until Obi Wan is near Padme.
Anakin said, "don't lecture me Obi Wan. I've seen through the lies of the Jedi! I do not fear the dark side as you do!"
Obi Wan checked on Padme and her breathing.
"I have brought peace, justice, freedom, and security to my new Empire", Anakin said.
Obi Wan looked at Anakin incredulously and said, "your new empire?!"
Anakin growled, "don't make me kill you."
Obi Wan yelled, "Anakin, my allegiance is to the Republic, to democracy!"
"If you're not with me, you're my enemy", Anakin growled.
Obi Wan recited, "'only a Sith deals in absolutes'... I will do what I must…."
"You will try", Anakin said as he ignites his lightsaber.
Obi Wan activated his own.
Anakin then jumps towards Obi Wan.
A furious duel began as their sabers clashed!
Meanwhile R2-D2 and C3-P0 walk towards the unconscious Padme.
C3-P0 said, "come along Artoo, we must get Mistress Padme inside."
R2-D2 let out a few beeps.
C3-P0 carefully picked Padme up and got her back on board the ship.
….
Anakin and Obi Wan were now dueling inside the control room.
Their sabers clashed violently!
Anakin then grabbed Obi Wan by the throat.
Obi Wan desperately tried to pull Anakin's hand away!
He then kicked Anakin, and he was free.
The fight continued from there!
The fight eventually took them to the rivers filled with lava.
They had to climb atop various prices of machinery as they fought.
"I have failed you, Anakin. I was never able to teach you to think", Obi Wan said.
Anakin yelled, "I should have known that the Jedi were plotting to take over!"
"From the Sith! Anakin, Chancellor Belos is evil", Obi Wan shouted.
Anakin yelled, "well from my point of view; the Jedi are evil!"
Obi Wan screamed, "well then you are lost!"
"This is the end for you, my Master. I wish it were otherwise", Anakin said.
The two continued to strike at one another whenever they grew close enough to do so!
The fighting continues again until Obi Wan jumps toward the safety of the black sandy edge of the lava river.
"It's over, Anakin. I have the high ground", Obi Wan shouted.
"You underestimate my power", Anakin yelled.
"Don't try it", Obi Wan warned.
Anakin threw caution to the wind as he leaped into the air, ready to strike down Obi Wan!
But the older Jedi quickly acted and sliced off Anakin's arm and legs in midair!
Anakin tumbles down the embankment and rolls to a stop near the edge of the lava.
Obi Wan uses the force to pull Anakin away from the edge of the lava.
"You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them. It was you who would bring balance to the Force, not leave it in Darkness", Obi Wan shouted with tears in his eyes.
Anakin snarled like a feral beast, "I HATE YOU!"
Obi Wan cried, "you were my brother Anakin! I loved you!"
Obi Wan picks up Anakin's lightsaber and begins to walk away. He stops and looks back.
Tears are streaming down his face as he sees his old friend laying there, growling in pain and anger.
Obi Wan then walks away.
He then makes it to the ship.
C3-P0 then walks out and said, "Master Kenobi! We have Miss Padme on board. Please, please hurry. We should leave this dreadful place."
Obi Wan gave a somber nod and said, "thank you, Threepio."
….
Inside the ship….
Padme lies on a cot or bed inside the ship. Obi Wan walks over and checks on her.
Padme asked weakly, "Obi-Wan? Is Anakin alright?"
Obi Wan looked down with a somber expression.
Padme drops back into unconsciousness.
Obi Wan then walks over to sit in the co-pilot's station. He sits looking pensive.
C3-P0 came in, asking, "sir, what shall we do?"
"Head to Polis Massa", Obi Wan said.
C3-P0 gave a small nod as he sat in the plots seat.
The ship then took off.
….
Obi Wan lands the Naboo Cruiser on the landing platform of the isolated post of Polis Massa.
Obi Wan then walked out of the ship, carrying the unconscious Padme in his arms.
Bail Organa approached Obi Wan and said, "we must take her to the medical center, quickly."
Obi Wan watched as Padme was carried away on a gurney.
….
On Mustafar….
We see Belos arrive with the scouts.
"Anakin! Anakin! There he is. He's still alive. Get a medical capsule, immediately", Belos shouted.
One scout said, "yessir", as Belos knelt by Anakin as he struggled to stay awake.
Belos then places his hand on Anakin's cheek.
Anakin groaned in pain.
….
Back on Polis Massa….
Polis Medics work on Padme in an operating theater. Obi Wan and one of the Medical droids enter an observation room where Bail and Yoda are waiting.
"Medically, she is completely healthy. For reasons we can't explain, we are losing her", the Medical Droid said.
Obi Wan asked, "she's dying?"
Yoda and Bail gave grave looks.
The Medical Droid said, "we don't know why. We need to move quickly, if we are to save the babies."
Bail asked, "babies?"
The Medical Droid clarified, "she's carrying triplets."
Obi Wan then looks at Padme as she lies on the operating table.
He sighs somberly.
We then see Padme crying in pain.
Obi Wan comes to her side as she's giving birth.
The medical droid is then seen holding a baby.
Obi Wan said, "it's a boy."
"Sam", Padme said softly.
Sam was wailing and crying.
Obi Wan took the baby into his arms as Padme cried and delivered baby number two.
"It's another boy", Obi Wan said.
"Luke", Padme said.
Obi Wan took Luke into his other arm as Bail came over to help with the third baby.
The third bundle of joy was soon delivered.
"It's a girl", Obi Wan said.
"Leia", Padme said.
Bail held the baby girl as Padme looked upon her three babies with tear filled eyes.
She then touched Sam's forehead.
Sam whimpered but then smiled peacefully.
Padme smiled softly.
Yoda was watching the whole exchange with a sad smile.
….
Meanwhile….
Anakin was lying on a medical table.
Cybernetic legs and an arm were being built into his body to replace his lost limbs.
Anakin groaned in pain.
Belos stood nearby.
….
It took about a few hours….
But Anakin was now in a dark looking suit with a cape, globes and boots.
Belos now held a dark mask to go with the suit.
The mask was then being lowered to Anakin's face.
The mask felt cold on his face.
Then breathing sounds were heard.
Foreboding breaths that left steam floating in the air.
….
Meanwhile….
"Obi Wan….", Padme said weakly.
Obi Wan knelt by Padme.
"There's good in him…. I know…. There's still…. Good…. In…. Him...", Padme breathed out.
And with these final words, Padme went completely still….
Obi Wan knew that Padme had passed away.
The three babies then started to cry.
Obi Wan and Bail cradled the babies as Yoda looked down in sorrow.
….
Back on Coruscant….
"Lord Vader…. Rise…."
The table rose up, showing Anakin now in his new armor and mask, indicating his new identity as…. Darth Vader.
Belos asked, "Vader, can you hear me?"
Vader asked, "yes my master. Where is Padme? Is she safe? Is she alright?"
Belos said, "it seems, in your anger…. You killed her…."
"I…. I couldn't have! She was alive! I felt it", Vader said in anger and fear.
Vader smashed out of his restraints and growled in anger as the room around him shook violently!
Belos smirked.
But that smirked suddenly vanished as Vader grabbed him by the throat!
Vader growled in anger.
He said, "you told me I could save her!"
Belos let out a choked laugh.
He choked out, "good…. Good…. Use that hatred…."
Vader snarled like a wild animal. He was beyond furious!
Belos struggled to get himself free.
His feet were flailing in the air.
Vader growled in rage as he said, "you promised…."
Belos made one last attempt to get free before….
SNAP!
Vader had snapped Belos neck.
Belos' body fell to the ground as dead as a doornail.
Vader was breathing slowly.
He looked upon the corpse of his master.
Darth Vader was happy to be rid of his master. All the things he had promised him had been a lie!
Vader then removed his mask and then he closed his eyes as he tried to sense Padme.
But when he did…. All he sensed was…. Nothing….
Vader kept trying, and trying to see if he was wrong.
But it was now all but confirmed to him…. That his wife was gone.
He collapsed to his knees, breathing erratically.
"Padme", Vader breathed out as tears fell down his face.
He couldn't believe it. His wife was…. Gone.
Vader kept on crying his heart out. He felt utterly broken.
….
Meanwhile on Naboo….
We see Tantive III land on a platform.
The air felt incredibly somber.
"Hidden, safe, the children must be kept", Yoda said.
"We must take them somewhere, where the Sith will not sense their presence", Obi Wan said.
Bail said, "my wife and I can take the girl. We've always wanted a child but haven't had time until now. She will be loved by us."
Obi Wan nods his head and then asks, "and what of the boys?"
Yoda said, "to Tatooine, to his family, send young Luke. Holds too much pain for Anakin, it does."
Obi Wan asked, "but what about Sam?"
Yoda looked down in thought.
"I know where Sam can be protected well", Bail said.
Obi Wan asked, "where?"
Bail explained, "I've received word that Ahsoka Tano managed to survive order 66. Sam will be safe in her care."
"Padawan Tano", Yoda said with a smile on his face.
"Then we will all better get going", Obi Wan said.
Bail and Obi Wan rose to their feet.
"May the force be with you", Obi Wan said to Yoda and Bail.
Bail left, but before Obi Wan could, Yoda held up his hand and said, "Obi Wan…. A moment?"
Obi Wan nodded and sat down.
"In your solitude on Tatooine, training I have for you", Yoda said.
Obi Wan asked, "training?"
Yoda said with a small smile on his face, "an old friend has learned the path to immortality. One who has returned from the netherworld of the Force…. Your old master….",
Obi Wan asked in shock, "Qui Gon?!"
Yoda nodded and said, "taught me this path, he has…. And teach you, he will…."
….
The streets of Theed were filled with people all holding candles.
It was a sad day for all of Naboo.
We then see four Gualaar pulling the carriage that carried Padme Amidala's open casket.
Her closest friends walked alongside the casket, including Jar Jar, Boss Nass, Captain Typho, and the current Queen of Naboo.
Padme's parents were there as well.
There wasn't a dry eye around.
Padme was dressed in a beautiful gown.
And clutched in her hands were Anakin's padawan braid and the necklace he gave her as a child.
Padme's body was altered to look like she was still pregnant.
That way, no-one would know that the babies still lived under the names of:
Luke Lars.
Leia Organa.
And Sam Tano, once he reached Ahsoka.
Speaking of which….
….
We see Obi Wan arrive at the Lars homestead.
Obi Wan then hands Beru, Luke who was wrapped in a blanket.
He was sleeping peacefully as Obi Wan said, "please. Keep him safe. And tell him…. Tell him his father was a good man…. One deserving of the name Skywalker…."
Beru nods her head.
Obi Wan nods back and said, "I won't be too far if you're ever in danger…. May the force be with you…."
Beru then walks over to her husband Owen and shows him Luke.
Obi Wan smiled sadly as he then walked away.
….
On Alderaan….
We see Bail showing Leia to his wife.
The couple smiled lovingly at the baby girl as she looked at them, wide-eyed and curious.
….
Then we see a ship in space.
Several soldiers allied with Bail and the Jedi were in command as two guarded the floating crib Sam slept in.
But then the ship stopped.
The crew looked at one another in confusion.
The captain asked, "what's going on?"
One of the pilots said, "it looks like someone's trying to board our ship!"
The captain asked, "is it Mistress Tano?"
Before the pilot could answer, a loud bang was heard.
The crew turned towards one another as the Captain yelled, "we need to protect the child! Four of you guard the baby, the rest of us will head to the entrance of the ship!"
Four soldiers then ran towards the room where Sam was.
The baby was still asleep, miraculously.
The other soldiers got to the entrance of the ship, pointing their blasters at the door!
The doors were then sent flying and there stood…. A shadow, slowly emerging from a cloud of fog, and all the soldiers swore that was they was a demon clad in black, wielding a blood red sword.
But it wasn't a demon.
No…. It was far worse….
…. It was Darth Vader, mask and all.
Darth Vader then walked forward and the soldiers began to fire at him.
But his saber managed to block every single bolt shot at him!
Vader then grabbed a soldier with the force and snapped their neck!
He then turned and sliced a soldier down the chest!
A few soldiers were starting to retreat.
….
Back in the room….
Sam woke up, when he heard the screams and he began to cry.
He was a scared infant, unaware of what was going on.
The four soldiers tried to calm the infant down.
Sam whimpered as he only calmed down a little bit.
But then more screams were heard and Sam was now full on crying and wailing.
But his cries were heard.
The four soldiers turned their guns to the door.
The red lightsaber cut through the door.
The soldiers all had looks of pure fear on their faces.
Darth Vader then knocked the door down.
The soldiers quickly opened fire!
Vader deflected the shots with his saber.
The soldiers were utterly terrified!
Sam was still crying in fear. He couldn't even comprehend what was happening!
Soon only one soldier was left.
Vader gripped the soldier by the throat.
Vader then noticed the infant.
Vader growled, "who is this child?"
The soldier struggled to speak.
"Answer me now", Vader growled.
The soldier choked out, "S-Sam…."
Vader asked, "Sam? Who are his parents?"
The soldier choked out, "c-can't…. S-say!"
"If you won't say…. Then I'll use this", Vader growled as he used the force to search through the soldier's memories.
The soldier screamed in agony!
Vader was able to see through the memories of the soldier.
And he was quite shocked.
The infant, this baby…. Sam…. It was his!
Vader then snapped the soldier's neck. Their body fell to the floor.
Sam was still crying and wailing.
Vader stared upon his child before slowly taking off his helmet.
Sam then stared at his father with curious eyes. He began to call down.
Sam reached his tiny hand to Vader.
Vader held up a finger to the hand.
Sam's hand wrapped around his father's finger.
He smiled warmly.
Vader then picked up Sam.
Sam placed his tiny hands on Vader's cheeks.
Tears began to form in Vader's eyes. He almost couldn't believe it.

Sam began to giggle.
Oh how little did he truly know what was going on.
"Oh…. My little one….", Vader whispered.
Sam kept smiling.
Vader could also sense that his son was very strong in the force.
He needed training, he was sure of it!
Vader then nuzzles Sam's forehead as he said, "I won't lose you like I lost them…. I promise you that…. Sam."
Sam squealed in joy.
If only he knew what his future held….
"Come on my little prince, let's get you home", Vader said.
Sam yawned and fell asleep in his father's arms.
Vader smiled. It was the first time he had felt joy since losing Padme.
Now he vowed that he would honor Padme's memory by protecting their son.
By any means necessary….
….
Aiden asked, "woah, so our grandpa fell to the darkside?"
Luz said, "just like the Star Wars films. But there will be quite a big number of changes in this story, I can tell you that much."
"Well, even though this is already sad…. I can't wait to see what's in store", Marek said.
Luz said, "I'm glad about that. Because the best is yet to come…."
