Two

During Totakeke's depression, he'd met up with Kapp'n. Another friendship was made here, and through an accident at sea - quite fortunately Totakeke was washed up on the beach of the same town as where Tom and Blathers were now living.

Totakeke of course wasn't aware of this, and as a last resort, tried busking at the train station. He found an old wooden crate, seated himself on it, and began strumming his guitar. Much to his surprise, a crowd soon formed. Totakeke took his chance, and began to play 'Two Days Ago'.

And who was amongst the crowd at that very moment?

Tom and Blathers were hidden from Totakeke's view; and as he wailed and howled his sad music about losing his two best friends, tears streaming down his furry cheeks - they sobbed too.

When the song ended, Totakeke bent his head, and quietly thanked everyone for listening. A few members of the crowd began to cheer and applaud. The rest soon joined in - all of them wiping away their own tears. They threw bags of bells down at Totakeke's feet.

"I wasn't really begging dudes…" Totakeke mumbled, but they all insisted that he keep it.

When the crowd cleared, Totakeke still kept his head low, and still hadn't noticed his two best friends standing before him. They crept up on either side of him - Tom on the left, Blathers on the right. They decided to do exactly what old friends would do.

They began tickling him under the arms in a dual reuniting ceremony - in exactly the same way they'd done to each other as children. Totakeke cried again at this point. Once for laughter, and once for joy.

All three of them joined together in a huge hug of true friendship.

After a long night in at Tom's house, and after a very long gossiping session - Tom said that he had persuaded Tortimer, the mayor, to allow Totakeke to come into town whenever he pleased. Tortimer too had enjoyed Totakeke's concert. And it was at that moment that Totakeke decided his true path.

So Totakeke continued his concerts down at the train station - every Saturday night. He took along a red canvas tent, and camped out in every town he came to - a different one every night - but always returned back to Tortimer's town for the Saturday night performance.

But one Saturday night - they found him…
