Tony was actually more than glad that Thor had come with him. The realisation that he was going to meet a possible homicidal God only armed with only a single repulsor was unnerving. He also realised how under dressed he felt. Tony wasn't used to going out and meeting people wearing anything less than a three-piece suit, not a tracksuit and jacket. Ignoring his own discomfort, he pushed open the door and noticed that seven different beings were spread out in the closest cell to the door. Tony blatantly ignored that small tree that was wondering next to the glass and the raccoon that seemed to be snarking at a red leather clad humanoid. Tony stepped to the glass and pressed a small button besides that window, activating the speakers, allowing him to hear audio and he speak to them.

"-if I don't get that arm, I'm gonna rig it," that came from the raccoon, muttering to the same man.

"We're not stealing anyone's arms," was the reply.

"I do not remember him from your stories," was said by - what seemed to be - a female cyborg of some sorts. This was aimed at Loki.

"He wasn't there then. I don't know who he is," was Loki's smooth answer, his eyes glued to the one-way mirror almost directly looking at Tony. Tony didn't put it past the God to actually be able to see through it. He was proved right seconds later, "It appears we have a guest." Tony's eyes flickered to Thor who was looking at his brother with far too many emotions for Tony to sort through right now. Tony flicked another button next to the speakers that which lowed the light in the interrogation cell and increased the light in the room Thor and Tony stood in, causing the one-way mirror to become normal glass, letting the captives see their captors.

The group of people Tony didn't know shot to their feet, clearly prepared for battle while Loki continued to lounge on his spot on the table.

"Stark, I had wondered where you were,"

"I'm flattered Reindeer Games." Drawled Tony, never one to act serious in front of wanted criminals, "however I'm here to get you're six musketeers out of here as so far they're not wanted for anything on earth."

"And why should we trust you?"

"Nebula," hissed the green skinned women, elbowing her.

"No, that's a fair question. Simply you shouldn't as I have no interest in trusting you, but the entire compound is monitored, and no-one gets in or out without me knowing. If you cause problems you'll be right back here with your buddy,"

"You're just a Terran, what makes you think you can do all that,"

"I'm sure Tony stark can do just that," stated Loki, looking as unimpressed as he had in Tony's tower over five years ago. Oddly, something about that made the blue-skinned women – what was her name, Nebula? – Nebula stand up straight, a new look in her eyes when she looked at Tony.

"Our father spoke about you often," this caused everyone in the cell and out to look at her, the expressions ranging from disinterest to confusion,

"And your father is…?" asked Tony, already feeling uneasy, why would a space women recognise his name and why on earth would her father speak about him,

"Thanos," the way it was spat with disgust made Tony feel slightly more at ease though not by much, the same feeling he'd gotten when Thanos' name was mentioned earlier was back, though he refused to let any of that show on his face.

"I'm going to assume there is no love lost between you," he quipped. So his coping method was humour at inappropriate times, so what. Whatever those in the cell was going to say next was lost when Thor leaned over and flicked both buttons, cutting off any sound and plunging them into near darkness. "Thor?"

"We must speak," Thor actually looked shaken, and Tony followed him with one more glance at the cell, seeing the people inside arguing. Thor led him out of the dark room into a corridor.

"What's up?" asked Tony, the day wasn't going the way he had thought.

"It is concerning that Thanos knows off your name, especially since you are an unnoticeable human in most of the galaxy's eyes,"

"Wow, thank you. What's the big deal of this Thanos anyway? Who is he?" Thor's eyes grew stormy (ha, God of Thunder pun), causing Tony to remember that Thor was a deadly warrior who had lived longer than probably Tony's entire ancestry.

"Thanos is the last of the Titans, who travels across the universe murdering and slaughtering people. If Loki is to be believed he is behind the invasion of New York,"

"So it's bad that he knows of me?"

"Yes, especially if the daughter of Thanos is indeed right when she says he speaks of you often,"

"It's most likely from when I destroyed the mother ship I guess,"

"Indeed,"

"Great," murmured Tony, running a hand through his hair, he wasn't prepared for this, he swallowed hard, not in the mood to throw up quite yet. "cool, cool, er, we should let the others out then check with the other to see if Loki is innocent and then we can deal with all of that,"

"Very well Man of Iron. I admire how you are not letting this get to you," Tony snorted at that had pushed the door open before wandering back into the dark room, if only Thor knew. He flicked both buttons and returned to the conversation.

"Right, we're still letting you lot out into the compound, but it would be appreciated if you stayed here until everything is sorted. Loki, if you truly are innocent then you won't mind staying in here until we prove it," Loki inclined his head and Tony murmured under his breath to Friday, "Fri, open the cell door please, close it before Loki can get out,"

"Of course, Boss," the door slid open without a sound and the first one to toddle out was the small tree (how was this is life) that was quickly picked up by the Raccoon,

"Don't wonder off Groot." They all left one by one, the last to leave was a topless male with tattoos over his body who had so far stayed silent, the door sliding shut behind him. Yet the group hesitated before leaving the dark room, Loki waved them off,

"They're the good guys, they won't hurt me," The green skinned women looked pointedly at them,

"I will not allow my brother to come to harm," vowed Thor, which she took with a nod. Tony clapped his hands, breaking the uncomfortable silence,

"Excellent, you will have free range of most of the compound area, Friday will tell you where you are not allowed to go and you can choose your own rooms from the empty ones, again Fri will show you which ones are empty,"

"Who's Friday? Is that one of your creations or something," that came from the red leather guy, who most closely resembled a human, Tony would actually call him Human if he wasn't in a group with other non-humans.

"Yeah, and you are?"

"Peter Quill, I was abducted from Earth, and I know a bit about you,"

"Right, cool. Fri introduce yourself,"

"Good evening, if you need any assistance I am here to help," the group immediately jumped searching for the voice, Tony was used to this, it happened every time someone meet his AIs for the first time,

"Come out where I can fight you," yelled the tattooed man, Tony looked at him bemused, okay that one was new.

"You can't see her, she's an AI she has no body,"

"And she monitors the entire building?" asked the green skinned one, god Tony was really going to need to learn their names, it felt rude not knowing,

"She respects your privacy unless you make her believe you are up to something,"

"Come on guys I'm hungry let's go find somewhere to eat," They all wondered out, the Raccoon had a gleam in his eyes that Tony didn't like, Friday was already giving them directions and Tony exchanged a look with Thor,

"The others should be finished; we should go back." Blugh, Tony was already tired off this, he'd much rather spend time with their guests from space then Rogers, but apparently, he was still needed.

"I agree, I believe my brother to be innocent and I hope the evidence proves this,"

"Well, you need to be prepared just in case Thor, "

"I agree with you Man of Iron, but I know my brother and the battle was too far from how he would have acted by his own power." Tony just nodded, quite simply he couldn't fight Thor on this he didn't know Loki in the slightest. However he knew Rogers quite well and knew he would throw a fit that Tony let the others roam the compound without his say so. Joy of Joys.
