I appreciate everyone's reviews as well as your guy's private messages. It helps me see what I'm lacking so I can improve on it. So keep em coming.

"Damn it; I'm so fucking lame," I mumble to myself while splashing water on my face getting ready for bed. Getting jealous over something small like this. The worst part is I knew why I wasn't in that stupid stalker notebook of hers, and it was my own damn fault. Before the incident that led me to meeting Ruby, I was a violent asshole that always got into fights with just about anyone who fucked with me, and that's only the top layer. I ditched school almost every day, sold drugs, and fought in illegal gambit matches every other day for money; the list goes on. It shouldn't have been a surprise that even someone as angelic as Ruby wouldn't have fancied being friends with someone like me. Guess deep down; I wanted to believe Ruby saw through all the ugliness in me, which wasn't fair to her.
"Hm?" I noticed a pair of silver orbs watching me from the edge of the bathroom entrance. Turning the sink off, I turned to meet a troubled Ruby.
"Are you mad at me?" she whispers. Not sure why she thinks I'm mad at her. Jealous? A little bit. Mad? Not in the slightest.
"Not at all. I was just... jealous, I guess," looking away, trying to hide my embarrassment for being honest about my feelings. Something I never thought I'd ever do till I met Ruby.
After a few seconds of silence, I turned back to see my lovely girlfriend with a huge grin on her face. "Heh, so the mighty Leo is jealous he wasn't in my notebook, huh?" oh boy, here we go. She strolled towards me, hands behind her back with that stupid grin of hers growing wider with every step.
"Remember, when you said you'd never get jealous at anything I'd do?" I do and regret it to this very day. When we first started dating, Ruby read those shitty dating magazines for advice and tips on how to improve our relationship. One of those retarded ideas was asking if I would get jealous if she flirted with other guys. According to the magazine, if my response were no, I wouldn't get jealous; it implied I didn't take our relationship seriously enough. If my answer was yes, it determined I didn't trust her and our relationship fragile, which was bullshit if you ask me both answers gave a negative response. Though, my stupid ass response was to laugh and say, 'I'd never get jealous at anything you'd do.' Ruby did not like my answer one bit. She argued that I would get jealous, and she would prove it by flirting with some of the guys at our school right in front of me. Asshole move, but I deserved it for being a jackass to her. To top it off, Ruby's scheme worked wonders. I honestly thought I wouldn't get jealous, though, I was so fucking wrong. Didn't even make it past the first guy she flirted with socked the shit out of him for putting a hand on her...alright fine; I may have exaggerated a bit. He didn't exactly put a hand on her, more like he brushed some dirt off her since we had just finished sparring. I never liked that guy in my defense, which, now that I think about it is probably why Ruby went to him first. Got suspended, as usual, no big deal. The real issue was putting up with Ruby's constant teasing, which doesn't sound bad except it was god damn awful. Every single moment we were together, whether in private or in public, she'd remind me that I got jealous. How, you might ask? By yelling stupid phrases like 'Good morning, my cute adorable boyfriend that NEVER gets jealous at what I do!' or 'I'm sorry I can't talk to you or my boyfriend over THERE is going to get very jealous.' She said that to a teacher, a female teacher; sure, there was a rumor going around about that teacher being a lesbian, but I doubt she had any interest in Ruby, right? The worst one that made me almost wanna shoot myself was when we walked down the hallway to our next class. Ruby pulled out a fucking megaphone and started informing everyone, 'Please don't look at me! Or else my boyfriend, who's right, HERE will get very jealous! He will beat you up! You have been warned!' To end this madness, I had to do something I despised with a passion admitting I was wrong, but it was either this or a bullet to the head. Considering I survived a shot through the heart, I didn't wanna risk it.
I let out an annoyed huff as my cute adorable girlfriend stood inches away from me with that stupid grin of hers at its maximum, waiting for the reply that would condemn me to endless teasing.
"I do kind of rem-" I drop my words and rush forward in an attempt to seal Ruby's lips with my own however I only manage to kiss a bundle of rose petals that floated around where she used to be. Damn, I was too slow. Looking past the rose petals, I witnessed a smile that nearly blinded me.
"Too slow, my cute jealous beloved!" and so it begins. Well, at least we got rid of that awkward atmosphere we had earlier though at what cost.
XXXX
Luckily the teasing didn't last a week this time as Ruby's stomach growled, giving me the opportunity to negotiate with her that if she stopped teasing me, I'd make her as many pancakes as she wants.
"So, what time are we gonna have to wake up tomorrow?" I ask, setting down her sixth plate of fresh pancakes for her to devour. Not sure how someone so small can eat so much.
"*Nom* *Nom* Early! *Nom* *Nom*." Yeah, but how early was my fall up question. However, there was something else I had to do first, and that is get Ruby a glass of milk before she inevitably chokes on her food.
"MPGHF!" Yep right on cue. I always tell her to eat slow, but she never listens.
"Here," handing her the glass, she downed it in one gulp, letting out a satisfied sound after.
"That was delicious as always! Thanks, Leo!" she spoke with a smile full of pancake crumbs. So damn adorable.
"Yeah, Anything for you," I reply with a small grin, flattered that my pancake cooking skills are still Ruby worthy.
"So, following up on my question, how early are we talking about?"
"Well, my dad wakes up really early to go on his daily patrol."
"How early?"
"Like 4ish in the morning," I stop mid-chew and look at my scroll.
"Ruby, that means we're going to have to wake up around three or earlier."
"Yeah, and?"
"It's already about to be one in the morning," I reply, showing her my scroll.
"WHAT!? How did time fly so fast!" before I could say anything, Ruby dashed off, back to the bedroom.
"Thanks for putting your plates in the sink," I mumble to myself.
After setting the plates in the sink, I returned to my bedroom to be greeted by a large red cloth that smelled of roses. It took me a bit to get it off my face as the damn thing wrapped around me. Holding the fabric in my hand, I noticed it was Ruby's cloak/cape she always wears.
"Hey, Ruby, your cloak fell...off...," my words drifted off as I gazed at a topless Ruby moving side to side looking for something. As for what? Who cares that's not important. Ruby turned towards me, giving me a delicious meal for the eyes, reminding me that she has a fantastic pair of breasts under all her gothic clothing. Their size always leaves me awestruck every time, mainly because Ruby regularly smothers them in her corset, so they appear smaller, kind of like a sports bra. Though now that corset was gone, I get to stare at them in their full glory.
*Poke*
"OW!" I cried, having both my eyes poked by Ruby.
"That's what you get for staring at my chest like a pervert," and I'll stare at them again once my vision returns.
'Why are you even topless? If you wanted to have sex, you could have just asked. Not like I was gonna say no to that," Ruby huffed, grabbing my nose, pulling it hard.
"H-hey R-Ruby, that really hurts!" after a few tugs, she let go.
"I'm getting ready to take a shower. Where are your towels, Leo?" my vision finally cleared, letting me see those beautiful mounds once more.
"I...think...there...here...somewhere?" this time, Ruby smacked both my cheeks hard, pulling my mind out of the gutter. Raising my head, so my eyes are aiming at her and nothing else.
"Focus, Leo! Where are your towels? I want to take a shower sometime tonight!"
"Ah, there in that basket over there by the door, I recently washed them, so I haven't put them away," Ruby let my face go letting my eyes wander once again.
"You dog," my topless girlfriend mumbled, jabbing me on the side as she pushed past me to get the towels.
"Honestly, now you've seen me naked so many times already. How is it you always react like it's your first time seeing me partially naked?"
"Hehehe, what can I say? You have a great chest."
"Darn right, I do," she voiced proudly.
"Sooooo about what I said before-"
"No,' she stated bluntly, dashing a young man's spirits.
"Awwwww, come on, don't be like that one round is all I'm asking for," Ruby snorted at my attempt to coo her into it.
"It's never just one round with you, Leo," I grinned, having the perfect counter for this.
"Course not beautiful after all it takes more than one round to satisfy you, right?" she quickly turned away from me, hiding her scarlet face. Now was the time for me to go on the offensive. A few more sweet words combined with some kisses to butter her up, and BAM, your boy is in for a glorious night. Except something caught my attention at the last second, dwindling the growing flame in me, putting me on guard.
*Scratch* *Scatch*
Faint scratching sounds were coming from my front door. It's probably an alley cat or something looking for food. Most people would ignore it and go back to whatever they were doing, but I couldn't. Being raised on the streets puts you on guard whenever you hear something you can't see. Even if you know it's an animal making that noise, there might be someone with said animal who could put a bullet in you. Most would call me paranoid, including Ruby, at least she used to before paying for my carelessness.
I felt a hand slip into mine. "Hey, it's probably a cat or something looking for food; we'll be fine. This isn't the Slums no ones going to attack you here." Ruby said softly, giving my hand a gentle squeeze trying to draw my attention back to her.
"Yea, it most likely is a cat or something...," She sighed, letting my hand go.
"Alright, go check it out. I'll be here," I turned, giving Ruby a peck on the cheek before stepping towards my door, keeping my footsteps muffled as I can. The scratching never stopped; whatever animal was outside wanted something from me. Before reaching for the knob, I strengthened my aura cloak sounds stupid, I know; still, I'd rather be safe than sorry. Opening a small crack, I peered outside to see what was scratching my door.
"Oh, it's you. What are you doing here?" I open the door wider, permitting the black and white furball to enter my home. The furball ignored my question running straight towards my room.
"Oh, it's Zwei!" she announced with glee from my room, happy to see her furry companion though her joy was short-lived as she followed this up by yelling. "OH! CRUD ITS ZWEI!"
And that's when I felt a fist collide with my face sending me crashing into a wall. Luckily I strengthened my cloak preventing any severe damage. Coughing out some dust and debris that went into my mouth, I slowly opened my eyes to see a middle-aged man with short fiery blond hair looking extremely pissed like if he found out some asshole was banging his daughter. Oh, wait, he did.
"Hello, Mr. Xiao Long. Nice to see you again." my cheerful greeting earned me a nice growl from him. At least it wasn't another punch to the face. I picked myself off the ground at the same time, Ruby exited my room.
"Dad! What are you doing here!?" She yelled.
"What am I doing here!? What are you doing here!? I thought I told you to stay away from him!?" he pointed at me with a scowl on his face.
"You did," she replied.
"Then!?"
"I didn't listen!"
"Ruby!? He almost got you killed!?" I let a curse slip through my lips, thankfully no one heard. Still, I didn't need him to remind me of what I did because I'll never forget.
"Yeah, he almost did, but I forgave him for that already!"
"But I haven't!?"
"There's nothing for you to forgive! This was between Leo and me!"
"To hell with that, you're my daughter. Anything you do is going to involve me!?"
"Not who I want to be with it doesn't! That's my choice and my choice alone!" my girlfriend is making me so proud, standing up to her dad. The only issue is Ruby never put on a shirt, so she's still topless; the only thing covering the twins is the furball she holding. Kind of sexy; however, nows not the time for my mind to sink into the gutter.
"That's enough out of you!? Your coming home!?" he yelled, taking a step forward.
"No, I'm not. I'm staying here!" Ruby yelled back, taking a step back.
"Your way past your curfew!?"
"That curfew was when I was in high school. I've already graduated!?"
"My house, my rules!?"
"Then, I'm moving out!"
"Ha! Where are you even going to go!?"
"I don't think you've noticed, but my boyfriend has his an apartment!" he sure does, and he's going to need a new wall since this one has a hole in it.
"The hell you are!?"
"Yes, I am, and you can't stop me!" legally, he can't do anything since Ruby's an adult now. Though that still isn't gonna stop her dad from dragging her ass back home.
"Watch me!?" he began walking towards Ruby, making her shrink with every step. Can't blame her for that Ruby's dad's pretty damn intimidating. Guess nows the super awesome boyfriends time to be a pain in the ass. I moved between them, pushing her dad back with one arm.
"Back off! If she wants to stay here, that's her choice!" I stand straight, matching my height with his.
"Get out off my way, punk!" he threw another fist at my face, but this time I was ready catching it with my hand. His fist was heavy and stung like a motherfucker, but I've dealt with worse pain than this.
"Dad, stop this!?" Ruby cried from behind me.
"Stay out of this! If this punk wants to get pummeled again, then I'm happy to oblige!"
"Asshole, the reason you pummeled me that time was I because I deserved it but not this time. This time I'm fighting back." and I did just that; tilting my head back a bit, I shot forward, headbutting him the face forcing him back, then following it up with a spartan kick to the stomach, sending him flying out of my apartment.
"Leo, your not helping!"
"Yep, that usually what happens when I get involved. Now go back inside, put on a shirt, and get our stuff while I fight your dad. Kay?"
"What are we gonna-"
"We're going to run make a break for the harbor."
"But, the boat isn't going to be boarding people until a couple of hours from now!"
"That's fine; your dad will never think to look for us there. Now go!" at least I hope he doesn't look for us there.
XXXX
Ruby.
Before I could criticize his plan, Leo dashed off to fight my dad.
"Geez, Leo, how are you going to get on my dad's good side if you're punching him in the face." with a huff, I returned back to Leo's room to gather our stuff. First things first, I needed to put my bra back on. I still can't believe I was arguing with my dad while topless Monty; I hope he didn't notice. Zwei should have covered most of my chest from the front, so he shouldn't have seen anything. I know Leo did dumb goof kept sneaking glances now and then like if I didn't notice. Finding my bra where I left it, I set Zwei down on Leo's bed, telling him to stay. I slipped it on quickly, then put on my shirt, followed by my corset. Next, I checked my bag to make sure everything I needed was there; then I moved to Leo's backpack to make sure he had everything he needed.
"Good, he listened and put plenty of extra and warm clothes. Since Leo doesn't use any weapons, he had more space than mine, so I placed some of my extra clothing inside, so mine isn't as bulky.
"Good, that's done and done," I slotted my pack and carried Leo's in my hand, leaving his room.
"Ah! Zwei, come one, let's go!" he yipped off Leo's bed, happy I didn't forget about him.
When I stepped outside, there was a crowd of people outside of their apartments with their scrolls out, recording Leo and my dad fighting. It was only a matter of time before the police showed up to put a stop to this. We needed to get out of here fast, but how? My dad wasn't going to let Leo out of his sights any time soon. Leo knocking out my dad, was out of the question. He may be middle-aged, but he was still the top fighter when he attended beacon and one of the strongest huntsmen in all of Remnant at one point in his career. It was superb how Leo was standing his ground, sometimes even pushing her dad back.
"He's gotten stronger," I whisper to know one.
XXXX
Leo
"Damn, Ruby's dad is one tough son of bitch," I mumble to myself before parrying his fist with my own creating a small shockwave around us. I've always prided myself at being a damn good fighter, but Ruby's dad was something else. The way he carried himself was far different from me. My attacks were raw and wild, while his were precise and heavy. His defense was a pain in the ass as well. I've come close to breaking through, but no luck yet. Knocking him out was a pipe dream right now. Hell, I'm not even sure how I'm still standing right now. I've taken far more damage than he has. My cloak was close to shattering, yet I wasn't worried.
I grinned, clashing his attacks with my own. Do I have an idea on how to win? Hell no, I'm just going to keep swinging till an opportunity shows its ugly face. I sidestepped his jab at the last second and swung, aiming straight for the left side of his face. He ducked under it, rushing me from below. Fuck! I was too slow on putting up my guard and swallowed a series of blows in the stomach, then ate an uppercut to the chin that should have sent me flying, but I hold my ground, throwing a desperate attack, hoping it lands. Sadly he blocked it effortlessly. The asshole then smirked at me before clobbering me in the face shattering my cloak. That should have been it. I lost Ruby gets dragged home, and I never see her again. Pfft, fuck that noise. He has more experience than me; without a doubt, if this were an official match, I would have lost hands down. However, this isn't an official match. This is a street fight, and in a street fight, the battle isn't over when someone's cloak shatters; it's when someone's unconscious, and this guy is still conscious. I fight through the momentum from his punch that was going to send me flying with sheer willpower, pulling myself back, catching him with his guard down. Not wasting a second, I swung my fist wide, catching him the temple dazing him. Now was the time for me to go all-in. I wasted no time swinging my fists with everything I had at the bastard. Landing every blow on opposite sides of his face, I'd like to say I was emulating the Dempsey Roll, but I've never boxed once in my life, so I don't.
Nevertheless, I still kept swinging side to side until finally, I felt it was time to put the old man to bed. Twisting my back to the side as far as I can, I shot forward with my right fist; when it connected with his face, I heard a crack from his cloak, fueling me to put my whole back into it. With a roar, I shattered that cloak of his and doing what he couldn't do to me, sending him flying crashing through a couple of trees before getting stuck on one.
"There you go, old man, the scores tied now 1 1." I hear sirens in the distance and realize it's time for me to make my exit. I notice Ruby in the distance jumping up and down, holding my bag. Before going towards her, I looked back at Ruby's dad.
"I promise I'll bring her back in one piece. I won't let the same thing happen again." with that, Ruby and me escaped beginning our journey to the land of Faunus.
And there you have it I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter. feel free to leave a review, a nice comment is always welcomed, and before I forget Happy Halloween.
