Trap on Shikine

In the sandpit within Shikine Island, Zero, Void, Suzaku, and Nonette were suddenly hearing a sound of static and it surprised them.

"Lady Enneagram, Major Kururugi, do you copy?" The voice of Fayer spoke through transmission, "If either of you can hear me, please respond!"

"Is that…?" Nonette asked.

"I'll take this," Suzaku said and then looked at Zero and Void, "do you mind?"

"No go ahead," Zero said.

Suzaku pressed the button on his communicator, "This is Major Kururugi."

"Excellent, is Lady Enneagram with you by any chance?" Fayer asked, "Is she safe?"

"Yes I'm fine," Nonette responded, "I'm right here."

"That's good to hear from you Lady Enneagram," Fayer said.

"Yes and may I ask who we're speaking to?" Nonette asked.

"Yes, this is Lieutenant Colonel Fayer, commander of Shikine Island," Fayer responded, "as of this moment we'll be launching surface to surface missiles on the terrorists."

"Wait what?" Nonette replied surprised.

Suzaku, Zero, and Void were shocked as well.

"Major Kururugi, your orders are to keep Zero there," Fayer said, "but Lady Enneagram rests assure that someone will be coming to get you out of there."

"Wait a minute!" Nonette responded shocked.

"They're giving him up to die!" Void said.

"So it's come to this!" Zero said.

There was a sudden sound and they saw what it was as the source of the sound. It was three Knightmare Frames that had made their way through. The three Knightmare Frames were carrying ranged weapons and shot at the Knightmares surrounding the sandpit. The Knightmares of the Black Knights reacted by dodging and firing back. In the cockpit of the Vierge, Alice looked on and was shocked as she recognized the three Knightmares.

"Those Knightmares," Alice said, "the GX 01 series."

"Alice you know them?" Rai contacted.

"Yes, and it means that it's…" Alice spoke.

In the cockpits of the three GX 01 Knightmare Frames were Sancia, Lucretia, and Dalque. In the sandpit, Void was contacted by Alice and was informed of the three pilots of the three GX 01 Knightmares and the fact that the surface to surface missiles would make their way to them.

"This is not good," Void said and then turned to Zero, "Brother."

"No choice, have her shut them off," Zero said.

"Right," Void said.

There was another sound and it they wondered what it was. As the three Knightmares were attacking the Knightmares that had surrounded the sandpit, a Gloucester Knightmare Frame showed up and went in the sandpit and it was equipped with the Sand Panels. This surprised them as well as Zero, Void, Suzaku, and Nonette.

"Nonette, I've come to pick you up!" The voice of Jeremiah declared.

"Jeremiah?" Nonette said surprised.

Jeremiah piloted the Gloucester and picked up Nonette and then Jeremiah quickly made his way out. The other members saw what had just happened and some attempted to stop them but they were stopped by Sancia, Lucretia, and Dalque.

"Gottwald!" Zero said, "So in that case—"

Suzaku suddenly rushed over and grabbed Zero's arm and Zero stood his ground and looked at Suzaku.

"And just what do you think you're doing?" Zero asked annoyed.

"Do you really have to ask?" Suzaku replied annoyed, "I'm following orders and I can rest easy knowing that Lady Enneagram is being taken out of harm's way."

Suzaku moved in took Zero's gun and pointed it at his head.

"Kururugi!" Void said angrily.

"Back off Void!" Suzaku demanded.

"Don't worry about me Void," Zero assured, "Just have them shut off and order everyone to retreat."

"Okay," Void said as she ran and contacted someone and someone threw a line for Void to climb up with.

"Kururugi, you're serious about this, aren't you?" Zero asked.

"I refuse to condone your methods," Suzaku said, "and at this point I don't care what you think of me. All I can do just do what I'm told."

"Ha, I wonder Kururugi," Zero said, "does Euphemia know about the truth of what you did?"

"You leave her out of this!" Suzaku said angrily, "Don't try to drag her into this, not that you'll have the chance to do so anyway."

"Not that it makes a difference," Zero said, "if she didn't know then, she will very soon as well as everyone else."

After Zero said that, he quickly head butted Suzaku and it disorientated Suzaku catching him off guard and Zero got free and then he punched Suzaku in the stomach and then did a spin kick which made Suzaku spin and he fell on the ground. Suzaku was shocked and looked at Zero while holding his face as he was in pain.

"If you want to die so badly then go ahead!" Zero said as he rushed to his Lionel, "But you're not dragging me with you in your suicide!"

Zero headed for his Lionel and Suzaku yelled at Zero to stop and he tried to get up to go after him. Meanwhile at the port, a Portman Knightmare Frame arrived at the port where the soldiers were and they were ready to escort Euphie, Castor, and Pullox and waiting for Jeremiah to come back with Nonette. The Gloucester Knightmare Frame that was piloted by Jeremiah arrived in which it carried Nonette much to the Knight of Nine's dismay.

"Damn it, what the hell Jeremiah?!" Nonette ranted angrily.

"Lady Enneagram, you're safe," One of the Shikine soldiers said.

"Good work Gottwald," Castor said as he and Pullox showed up.

"Prince Castor and Prince Pullox?" Nonette said surprised, "What…?"

"You're wondering why are we here, right?" Pullox said, "We'll tell you only after we leave."

"Wait a minute," Nonette said.

"Stop, wait!" Euphie yelled as she, Lloyd, and Cecile rushed out.

"You're sacrificing the Lancelot and the Morgause!?" Lloyd said upset.

"Are you really giving up Major Kururugi to just die?!" Cecile said upset, "And who are those girls that was just sent and those Knightmares…?"

"Just listen and listen well," Castor said, "Zero is there and right now Kururugi has been tasked to keep Zero there and as for those three girls, well we figured that it wouldn't be sufficient to have just Kururugi there since Zero is difficult but at least he getting help."

"Just who are they Your Highnesses?" One of the Shikine soldiers asked Castor and Pullox.

"Those three are part of the Special Honorary Foreign Legion," Pullox answered, "they were under the command of Colonel Madd but they were transferred to our command."

"But anyway enough of that," Castor interjected, "we need to leave now."

"And just leave Suzaku and those girls to die?" Euphie asked disgusted.

"Please be rational on this Sister," Castor said, "look, this is the chance we have to finally eliminate the vile terrorist Zero and when he dies, his band of terrorists will be finished and be easy picking and they'll be eliminated too, even to our own leisure."

"This is absurd!" Euphie said angrily, "Whose idea was this? Major Kururugi is my personal knight!"

"It was a Para-Level One Order Euphemia," Pullox said, "and you know that a Para-Level One Order can only be countermanded by the consensus of three ranking Generals or the Viceroy in which case, Cornelia and last we checked, you're the Sub Viceroy so it's out of your hands. There's nothing you can do. You can't stop it."

Lloyd realized something and had a sullen expression.

"Seriously, whose idea was this?" Nonette asked.

Euphie turned to Shikine Soldiers.

"Get me a line to them immediately," Euphie demanded, "I'll speak with the person myself."

"Okay Euphemia, maybe you didn't hear me," Pullox spoke getting annoyed, "let me say it again. Para-Level One Order. Here I'll say it the third time, Para-Level. One. Order."

"Is it getting through to you Big Sister Euphemia?" Castor said tapping his temple of his head.

"I still want to talk to them," Euphie insisted.

"I'd like to talk to them too," Nonette said as she approached the twins, "You all are too willing to sacrifice good loyal and useful soldiers."

"Nonette, don't think that just because that you're a Knight of the Round that—" Castor spoke.

Castor was cut off when Jeremiah started up the Gloucester and piloted it to go back. This surprised the others and they all wondered why Jeremiah was going back.

"What's going on?" One of the soldiers asked, "Why is Lord Jeremiah running off?"

"Hey Jeremiah!" Nonette called out.

Castor and Pullox clenched their teeth and they picked up their communicators and contacted Jeremiah.

"Jeremiah Gottwald, what do you think you're doing?" Castor contacted.

"Jeremiah, where are you going?" Pullox asked, "We didn't say you can go back there!"

In the cockpit of the Gloucester, Jeremiah was ignoring Castor and Pullox and shut down all communications.

"I have to go back," Jeremiah said, "I finally understand. I know who they really are," Jeremiah had a determined expression, "For her memory, for the sake to make up my failure to her, I will protect them."

Back at the port, Castor, Pullox, and the others were shocked.

"He cut off all communications," Pullox said.

"This is doesn't make sense," Castor said, "Why is Jeremiah doing this?"

"Err, that stupid idiotic man!" Pullox ranted.

"This is what we get for bringing in Orange!" Castor ranted.

Euphie suddenly ran towards the Portman and held on the rope to get in the Knightmare. This surprised the others as well.

"Sub Viceroy, what are you doing?" One of the soldiers spoke.

"Contact the base!" Euphie said, "Tell them there's a chance that I'll get caught in the attack as well. See if they'll initiate their launch then!"

Nonette went after Euphie and held on the end of the rope as it pulled up.

"Euphie, wait for me!" Nonette spoke.

"Euphemia, Nonette!" Pullox called out, "Please come back here!"

"Big Sister!" Castor called out.

"Please Sub Viceroy, stop this!" One of the soldiers said, "Think what you're doing! Lady Enneagram, please don't just go along with it ma'am!"

"But they'll stop with the princess out there, won't they?" Cecile asked Lloyd.

"I'm not sure they will unfortunately," Lloyd said, "As for Nonette, well for the trouble they just went through to get her out that situation…"

Meanwhile within Shikine Island, the Gefjun Disturbers had been deactivated and Zero was in his Lionel and got out of the sandpit and the Fenrir carried Rakshata. Suzaku got up and looked around and then he ran towards the Morgause. The Black Knights decided to retreat and get off the island however the three GX 01 Knightmares were catching up to them.

"We're not letting you get away!" Sancia declared.

The Kagemaru, the Vierge, and the Seiryu fought them off. In the cockpit of the Lionel, Zero was agitated.

"Damn them," Zero said.

Jinta, Alice, and Naoto pushed back the three GX 01 Knightmares, bringing them down and then they took off as they continued to retreat and they all scattered.

"We just need to keep," Zero ordered, "Hurry!"

"Zero, something trailing behind us!" Kallen contacted, "And it's the Lancelot!"

Zero picked up the signature and it was indeed the Lancelot with its ripped off upper part of the pod making its way towards the Lionel.

"Zero, you're not getting away!" Suzaku declared loudly.

"I'm not in the mood Kururugi so back off!" Zero demanded, "You go die by yourself!"

Suzaku fired two Slash Harkens and Zero had the Lionel quickly deflect them with his MVS. Suzaku was frustrated and he clenched his teeth.

"Major Kururugi, what are you doing?" Fayer contacted on the other line, "You must hurry and hold Zero! You can't let him escape!"

"I'm sorry sir," Suzaku responded, "Don't worry, I'll get him."

The three GX 01 units recovered and in the cockpit of one of the GX 01, Sancia nodded.

"Dalque, Lucretia, let's forget the others and let's just get Zero," Sancia instructed, "as long as we hold him and keep him from escaping, the mission will be success."

Back with Suzaku and Zero, the Lancelot continued to rush and attack the Lionel much to Zero's annoyance.

"Get the hell out of my way!" Zero demanded.

"Not happening," Suzaku replied, "I'm going to do what needs to be done."

"You stubborn—" Zero responded.

Zero was cut off when something struck his Lionel. Zero looked and was shocked to see one of the GX 01 units holding the Lionel with its Slash Harkens. Zero tried moved his Knightmare's right arm that was holding the MVS but it was stopped by another GX 01 unit. One of the three girls called out Suzaku and Suzaku used the opportunity to have the Lancelot tackle the Lionel down on the ground. The Lionel was pinned to the ground with the two GX 01 units holding the Lionel with their Slash Harkens and the third one arrived and shot its Slash Harken and had wrapped on one of the Lionel's legs. Zero tried to struggle out of this but was pinned. Suzaku contacted the base and informed them that he and the pilots of the GX 01 units have got Zero pinned down. Meanwhile in the cockpit of the Lucan, Void was contacted and was in shock.

"What, Zero got caught?" Void spoke.

"It seems that Zero is being held down," Todoh informed.

"That's not the only thing," Chiba contacted, "we have confirmations of missiles heading straight to where Zero is trapped."

"No, Lelouch," Nunnally said in her head with worry.

Back with the Lionel, Zero struggled to get his Knightmare to move but the weight of the Lancelot that was on top of the Lionel added with the Slash Harkens by the three GX 01 units was making it very difficult to do so. The cockpit of the Lionel was forced opened by the Lancelot and Suzaku was able to face Zero and prevent him from even moving from the pod.

"You truly are a hopeless fool Kururugi!" Zero shouted.

"Say what you want Zero, I don't care," Suzaku replied, "I'm doing what needs to be done and that includes putting an end to your reign of terror. After all I'm a soldier and a soldier must follow his or her orders to the latter."

"Oh yes, so easy for you to blindly obey," Zero replied in a sarcastic tone, "someone like you who wants to drive the masses to a future dictated by your own egotism!"

"You don't know anything," Suzaku rebuked, "in the end you're just a terrorist and use contemptible means and would happily tip the world in chaos."

"It's you who doesn't know anything," Zero rebuked back.

"You're doing a great thing Major Kururugi," Fayer contacted, "know that your death won't be in vain."

Suzaku and Zero were taken aback when they heard Fayer's voice.

"We're about to finally end the worse enemy that our glorious empire has ever faced," Fayer continued, "Zero will finally fall and then afterwards, sure enough the rest of the Black Knights will fall as well. It will only be a matter of time. They'll speak of your bravery for years to come."

"Shut up with your lies!" Zero screamed angrily, "Do you people enjoy spewing out lies from your mouths?! You know damn well that you will never credit Kururugi! To you, he'll be nothing more than a statistic, a sacrificial throwaway pawn! At least have the decency to be truthful!"

In the cockpits of the GX 01 units, Sancia, Lucretia, and Dalque frowned and had sad expression.

"The same will go with us as well," Sancia said sadly in her head.

"We're not even being at least acknowledged," Lucretia said sadly in her head.

"It's clear that we've been sent to die," Dalque said sadly in her head, "and it's not even by the orders of Colonel Madd."

In the sky, missiles were flying and headed to hit their intended target. Suddenly, the missiles were being shot and destroyed. That was due to some of the Knightmares of the Black Knights led by Void, Rai, Todoh, and Naoto who were leading in shooting barrages at the missiles.

"Keep going!" Void ordered.

"We'll continue to fire the missiles," Todoh declared, "we'll empty out our entire clips if we have to."

"Void, we should go," Rai said.

"Yes, we have to help Zero," Void declared, "Todoh, continue leading the firing barrage. Alice, you're with me and Rai."

"Yes of course," Alice said.

"Void, I'll come with you as well to aid you," Naoto said.

"I need to go too," Kallen said, "I am Captain of Zero's elite guard after all."

"Yes, I appreciate it," Void said.

"Okay, let move," Rai said, "no matter what, we won't let Zero die."

The Lucan, Fenrir, Vierge, Guren, and Seiryu took off to help Zero while Todoh and those with him continue to fire on the missiles and destroying many of them. Meanwhile Jeremiah in the Gloucester was still making his way and then he stopped and looked around.

"It will only be a matter of time," Jeremiah said and then continued to move.

Euphie in the Portman with Nonette on its shoulder continued to move in.

"I don't see anyone," Nonette said.

"No matter what, I have to find him," Euphie said, "I won't allow it."

"Euphie…" Nonette said.

"I won't allow him to die," Euphie said, "Suzaku can't die. He promised me."

"He's not the only one," Nonette said.

"Nonette, I need to know," Euphie said.

"Huh?" Nonette replied.

"What were you talking to Zero about?" Euphie said.

Nonette was taken aback and then she looked away with a frown.

"He was just being stubborn," Nonette said, "he really hasn't changed."

"Nonette, could it be that you…?" Euphie said in her head.

Meanwhile the Lucan, the Vierge, the Fenrir, the Guren, and the Seiryu got to the where Lionel was pinned.

"Suzaku Kururugi!" Void yelled.

Void had her Knightmare point the Assault Rifle at the Lancelot. Suzaku and the three GX 01 pilots looked and were surprised seeing Lucan and the four other Knightmares.

"Let go of my brother now!" Void demanded.

"Stop, don't you understand?" Suzaku responded, "You have lost!"

The three GX 01units used their free hands to draw their long ranged weapons and started shooting barrages at the five incoming Knightmare Frames.

"You will not get close!" Sancia declared, "You can't help Zero."

"Void, all of you," Zero called, "leave me and get out of here."

"Don't worry Zero," Void assured, "our members are shooting down the missiles heading for you. We can still help you."

"What?" Zero replied.

"Wait a minute!" Suzaku said standing up.

Suddenly, there was huge shadow that was hovering over them and they looked and were surprised. The group led by Todoh was shocked in what they were seeing. Elsewhere, Jeremiah stopped and he looked up and he was surprised.

"Wait a minute, is that what I think it is?" Jeremiah asked.

Elsewhere, the Portman stopped and Euphie and Nonette looked up and were surprised at what they were seeing as well. In the Black Knights' Submarine, the other members along with Kaguya were shocked in what they were seeing.

"Hold on, what is…?" Ohgi asked.

"I don't believe this…" Keitaro said.

In the sky was an airship and it was protected from shots by a Blaze Luminous. Euphie was shocked as she recognized the airship.

"The Avalon," Euphie said.

"Wait, what did you say?" Nonette asked surprised.

"It's my brother Schneizel's airship," Euphie said, "the Avalon."

Nonette was surprised again. In the bridge of the Avalon, Schneizel el Britannia was standing and then he waved his right arm horizontally signaling to open fire. The hatch on the Avalon opened up and a cannon started to charged up and was aimed at where Zero, Suzaku, and the others were located. Jeremiah stops and looks up.

"So that…" Jeremiah spoke.

Jeremiah piloted the Gloucester to go faster and then he saw the Lionel and the Lancelot.

"Zero!" Jeremiah yelled.

Zero, Suzaku, and the others looked and were surprised to see the Gloucester.

"Gottwald!" Zero spoke.

"Wait!" A female voice said.

They looked and were shocked to see Euphie as she disembarked off the Portman and ran to their direction and Nonette ran after her. In the cockpit of the Fenrir, Rai was shocked.

"Princess Euphemia, why are you…?" Rai asked.

Both Zero and Suzaku were shocked.

"Euphemia, you shouldn't be here!" Zero yelled, "Run away!"

"Princess Euphemia," Suzaku said as she was mortified of what could happen, "Your Highness, run away! Please run away from here!"

Dalque, Lucretia, and Sancia were shocked at the development and then their Knightmares were suddenly struck down by Void, Seiryu, and Guren. That gave Zero the opportunity he needed to quickly free himself and was able to force the Lancelot off of the Lionel. Suzaku was not going to let go and had the Lancelot grab on the Lionel again.

"You're not going anywhere!" Suzaku declared.

"Grr, I'm so sick of your idiocy Kururugi!" Zero yelled.

Zero had his Lionel cut off one of the Lancelot's arm and that caught Suzaku off guard and with the distraction, it allowed Zero to have his Lionel kick the Lancelot in its chest and Lancelot was kicked to one of the GX 01 units. Zero, Void, Rai, Alice, Naoto, and Kallen started to move with the attempt to get away and the cannon fired from the Avalon and destroying the area that it had aimed for.

Sword of Akasha, C's World

VV was standing and he grinned as he was pleased.

"Now with this, I'll be able to observe them," VV said, "if everything falls into place as I want them to be, there will be no escape for them. Yes, there will be no way when I use it against them, against Lelouch. Not only that, I'll observe the both of them. Alice and of course…" VV chuckled in glee, "Rai." VV paused a bit, "Rai, will you be able to remember…of the tragedy that befell on you that was done by your own hands?"
