Kamine Island Part One
Suzaku had a broadsword in his hands and he looked and saw Lelouch with a katana in hand and he looked at Suzaku with hatred.
"Lelouch," Suzaku said.
"Suzaku," Lelouch said with a venomous tone.
"So this is what you decided," Suzaku said with a glare.
There was a sudden cut and Suzaku was surprised to see that the blade of the sword he held was cut in half and he was surprised as he saw Lelouch preparing another sword swing.
"Suzaku, this is retribution for what you've done!" Lelouch declared as he swung the katana.
Suzaku shouted as he opened his eyes and panted. Suzaku was looking up in the sky and realized what was going on. He was on the ground and he was looking up at the sky. Suzaku was wide eyed and quickly sat up.
"Zero!" Suzaku spoke and then he calmed down and looked around, "Where am I? Where's the Lancelot?" Suzaku paused and looked up the sky, "How did I get here?" Suzaku got up and then he got worried when he recalled seeing Euphie running towards him, "Euphie, I hope she's safe. Please let her be safe."
Suzaku then thought of the dream he just had and had wondered.
"What was that?" Suzaku asked himself, That dream I had, was it…?"
Elsewhere Zero walks and looks around and he was surprised as he recognized the place from being here three years ago.
"How?" Zero asked himself, "How did I get on Kamine Island?"
Zero looked and saw someone on the ground and unconscious and it was Rai.
"Rai," Zero said as he rushed over.
After some time, Rai regains consciousness and slowly saw Zero.
"Z-Zero," Rai spoke and then he opens his eyes and looks around and sits up, "hey, what happened?"
"Do you recognize this place Rai?" Zero asked.
Rai looks around and was shocked as he realized where they are.
"Um, why are we on Kamine Island?" Rai asked surprised.
"That's what I want to know," Zero replied.
Rai got up and looked around, "Is it just us?"
"It seems like it," Zero replied.
Elsewhere Void is looking around and is surprised as she looks up at the mountain and then back around at the beach.
"This is Kamine Island, isn't it?" Void asked herself.
Back with Suzaku, he looks and confirms his suspicions.
"Just as I thought, this is another island," Suzaku said.
Suzaku walks and tries to figure what he should do.
"It's impossible to make contact without an intercom," Suzaku said, "the only thing that I can do now is find food and drinkable water."
Suzaku walks and then after some time, he sees people. He saw two people and he got a closer looks and was surprised to see that it was Kallen and Alice who looked at the waterfall.
"Will this be okay?" Kallen asked.
"Yeah, I believe so," Alice said.
"Kallen!" Suzaku spoke, "Alice!"
Kallen and Alice were shocked as they recognize the voice and they slowly turned around and saw Suzaku.
"Suzaku," Alice said.
Suzaku noticed that Kallen and Alice wore Knightmare pilot suits and wore jackets that were of the Black Knights.
"Wait a minute," Suzaku said shocked, "those jackets…those are of the Black Knights! I don't believe this. I can't believe that it's really you two but why…?"
Kallen and Alice just narrowed their eyes at Suzaku.
"Why do you have jackets of the Black Knights?" Suzaku asked.
"Because we are part of the Black Knights," Kallen admitted.
"No, this can't be," Suzaku responded disappointed, "I don't believe this. Kallen Stadtfeld and Alice Macleod, you two are actually members of the Black Knights."
"I suppose there's no point in hiding it," Alice said, "that's right. We're part of the Black Knights."
"I don't understand," Suzaku said upset, "how could you two do this? You two are Britannians and yet you willfully are part of the Black Knights?"
"To clarify Suzaku, I'm actually half Britannian," Kallen said, "I'm also half Japanese and I prefer to be referred to as Kozuki."
"Kozuki?" Suzaku replied.
"That's right, I'm Kallen Kozuki," Kallen declared, "I really shouldn't bother to hide who I really am."
"As for me Suzaku," Alice said, "I'm only an Honorary Britannian."
"Wait, you mean the same as me?" Suzaku replied surprised.
"That's right, I'm actually Scottish," Alice said, "but perhaps it's time I revoked my status as an Honorary Britannian."
"I see," Suzaku said with a frown, "in that Kallen Kozuki and Alice Macleod, I'm placing the two of you under arrest for conspiracy and rebellion against Britannia."
Alice drew out a handgun and pointed at Suzaku which surprised the Lancelot pilot.
"I'd like to see you try," Alice said, "first thing though, do you know where we are?"
Meanwhile Naoto was walking on a path and he looked around.
"Well this can't be Shikine Island," Naoto said, "so where am I and how the hell did I get here?" Naoto continues to walk and then he got worried for Kallen, Lelouch, Nunnally, Rai, and Alice, "I hope the others are safe," Naoto thought about the blast that came from the airship, "I wonder if that—"
Naoto cut himself off when he felt something and was about to make a move but someone stopped him by pointing a gun at the back of his head.
"Don't move," A female voice demanded.
"That voice," Naoto said in his head.
It was Nonette who pointed a gun on Naoto's head and then she looked and saw Naoto's face and was surprised.
"Oh my goodness," Nonette said, "It's you JJ."
Naoto sighed as he was annoyed as it was the nickname Nonette gave him which was the abbreviation of James Jr.
"Nonette, I told you before to not to call me that," Naoto said, "My name is Naoto. Naoto."
"Why?" Nonette asked, "Why are you here and…" Nonette noticed what Naoto was wearing, "why are you wearing clothes that are those of the Black Knights."
"Isn't it obvious?" Naoto replied, "Because I am part of the Black Knights."
Nonette frowned, "JJ, that is not what I wanted to hear."
"I told you to stop calling me that," Naoto replied.
"Why?" Nonette replied, "You are James Stadtfeld Jr., son of Earl James Stadtfeld Sr. Would you referred to be called Jim or Jimmy instead?"
"I referred to be called Naoto," Naoto insisted.
Meanwhile with Rai and Zero, the two tried to figure out what to do.
"It'll be impossible to contact the others," Rai said.
"And even if we could, it'll be extremely difficult," Zero said.
Zero suddenly felt something and held up his hand.
"Hey, what's—" Rai spoke.
"Shh," Zero replied and he looked at a direction, "someone's over there. I'll see who it is. Rai, hide for now."
"Understood," Rai said.
Rai left to hide and then Zero walked forward and then someone indeed was appearing and the person looked around confused and then the person stopped and was surprised. Zero was surprised to see that it was actually Euphemia and Euphemia herself was surprised to see Zero.
"Zero," Euphie said.
"Euphemia," Zero said.
Rai looked from the place he was hiding and was surprised to see Euphie.
"Princess Euphemia," Rai said in his head, "so she's here as well."
Meanwhile near the waterfall, Suzaku, Kallen, and Alice sat down on the ground with still holding on the handgun.
"I see," Suzaku said, "so neither of you know what happened either. When you two came to, you both found each other and found yourselves here."
"That's right," Kallen said, "ha, when our people get here, it'll be real bad for you."
"You mean Zero and Void will actually come and help you two?" Suzaku asked.
"Absolutely," Alice said with confidence.
"Okay but before they do though," Suzaku replied, "just tell me one thing. Tell me who they really are. Who are they behind the masks?"
"Ha, now why the hell would we ever tell you?" Kallen replied with a mocking tone, "Did you really think we would tell you just because you ask?"
"So you really know who they are," Suzaku said.
"And we're not going to sell them out," Alice said, "so you're wasting your time asking us to do so."
"Isn't masking one's identity a huge fraud?" Suzaku asked.
"If you see it that way then that's your business," Kallen said.
"I wonder, why do you two follow those two?" Suzaku asked, "What is it about them that you're willing to pledge yourselves to them, to Zero especially?"
"Do you really need to ask?" Alice asked amused.
"You should already know by now or do you seriously not bother to really pay attention," Kallen said, "I suppose it can't be helped when it comes to someone who's irritably naïve and hypocritical like you."
Suzaku clenched his teeth as he was offended in what Kallen had just said and Kallen gave Suzaku an expression showing that she didn't care that she had just offended him. Meanwhile with Nonette and Naoto, Nonette put her gun down to her side and just looked at Naoto.
"It's been a long time," Nonette said, "the last time was back in New York for a social gathering nine years ago," Nonette then got upset, "I'm disappointed that you're part of the Black Knights."
"Hmph," Naoto responded folding his arms.
"I wonder what Kanon and Prince Schneizel would say since they seemed to like you," Nonette said, "considering how you met them."
"I really don't care Nonette," Naoto replied.
"Well you should," Nonette said, "and what about Jarvis?"
"Why should I be concerned for the younger brother of my father's despicable wife?" Naoto said with a glare.
"Oh, I see that you still despise your stepmother," Nonette said and then she shrugged, "well not that I don't understand why you do. Honestly, I don't think even Jarvis cares much for his own older sister."
Hmph, that's surprising," Naoto replied.
"Your sister Kallen," Nonette said, "how is she? You know, considering her weak constitution."
"My sister is fine," Naoto replied, "She's doesn't let it weigh her down."
"You know," Nonette said, "I know about your mother."
Naoto flinched when he heard Nonette say that.
"Your mother is now serving a twenty-year prison sentence for use of Refrain," Nonette said.
Naoto slowly looked at Nonette and glared at her. Meanwhile Void tries to figure out what to do.
"I don't know how I ended up here," Void said in her head, "but I need to find a way. I'm worried about Lelouch and the others. I hope they're all okay."
Void suddenly flinched and she turned and was surprised to see someone and it was Jeremiah who was shocked to see Void.
"Void it's you," Jeremiah said.
"Jeremiah Gottwald," Void said.
Void sprung out a kunai and Jeremiah quickly raised his hands.
"No wait please," Jeremiah pleaded, "you don't need to do that. I am no longer your enemy."
"Huh, what are you talking about?" Void responded not letting her guard down.
Jeremiah just looked at Void and then placed his hands down and then went on his knees.
"What are you doing?" Void asked.
"Princess Nunnally, it's you," Jeremiah said.
Void was shocked and was wide eyed behind her mask.
"Your Highness, I know it's you," Jeremiah continued, "I haven't told anyone, I swear to you. I'm just so happy that you're alive and well. Just please, I know I'm asking much but please Princess, please I would like to see your face. I want to see the face of the sweet and kindhearted princess that I gladly know and cherish."
Void was still shocked and wondered if she should. She took some time to think about it and then decided. She put away her kunai and proceeded to take off her mask. Jeremiah was overjoyed seeing someone for the first time in eight years and it was Nunnally. Jeremiah was so overjoyed that he actually had tears streaming from his eyes.
"Princess Nunnally," Jeremiah said happily.
Nunnally looked at Jeremiah and was amazed how genuinely happy and overjoyed he was.
"Jeremiah," Nunnally said.
"Words cannot describe how happy I am," Jeremiah said as he was shaking with joy, "Princess Nunnally, I thank the heavens to see you survived and…you've grown to be a lovely young lady."
Nunnally was taken aback and then she looked away blushing from her cheeks.
"You're just saying that," Nunnally said.
Meanwhile Zero and Euphie faced each other.
"Zero," Euphie said.
"Euphemia, it seems that you ended up here as well," Zero said and then he looked around, "is it just you?"
"Um yes," Euphie said with a nod.
"I see," Zero said, "I'm sure this must be a shock to you," Zero then noticed that Euphie was actually drenched, "ah, you're drenched. Well it will best for you to get out of your clothes so you don't catch a cold," Zero took his cape off and pointed at an area, "you can go there to have privacy and I'll lend you my cape until your clothes dry. Better hurry."
Euphie suddenly grabbed on Zero's arm and this surprised Zero as he looked at his arm being held by Euphie and he looked at Euphie who had a longing expression.
"Hmm, is something wrong?" Zero asked with concern, "Don't worry, I'll look after you until we can get out of here. Now please Euphemia before—"
"Lelouch," Euphie said suddenly, "it's you, isn't it?"
Zero was shocked and looked at Euphie and Rai was shocked as well and he looked over and wondered.
"What are you—?" Zero replied.
"I know it's you Lelouch," Euphie said, "I haven't told anyone I swear to you. Just please, will you show me your face? I want to see your face."
Zero just looked at Euphie and was silent. After a brief silence, Zero proceeded to take his mask and faced Euphie as Lelouch and Euphie responded happily to see her brother for the first time in eight years since he and Nunnally were forced to leave Pendragon. Euphie was happy and was starting to tear up seeing her brother.
"Oh Lelouch," Euphie said happily with tears streaming from her eyes, "I'm so happy to see you again."
Lelouch looked at Euphie and smiled.
"It's good to see you again Euphie," Lelouch said.
"Lelouch!" Euphie said as she rushed and hugged Lelouch which surprised Lelouch, "Lelouch, it really is you. Lelouch, my beloved brother! I'm so glad, I'm so glad! I missed you so much!"
Lelouch was still smiling and hugged Euphie back.
"Yeah, I missed you too," Lelouch said.
Rai poked his head out of the hiding and was touched at the heartwarming scene that he was seeing.
"Rai, is that you?" Euphie asked when she noticed.
"Oh well," Lelouch said, "come on Rai."
"Yeah," Rai said as he came out and walked towards them.
"Rai," Euphie said.
"It's good to you again Princess Euphemia," Rai said with a smile.
Euphie let go Lelouch and walked towards Rai and then smiled.
"Yes, it's good to you again as well," Euphie said happily.
Shikine Island
The Britannian forces stationed on the island were conducting search parties to find Euphemia and Nonette with Lieutenant Colonel Fayer along with Castor and Pullox were overseeing the search for the missing imperial princess and Knight of the Round as foot soldiers were using metal detectors.
"Find them!" Fayer ordered, "Find Princess Euphemia and Lady Enneagram!"
"Make sure you find Jeremiah Gottwald as well," Castor demanded, "We have words for Orange guy."
"This is a disaster," Pullox said, "why couldn't she just understand? I can't understand why she was so upset of sacrificing that lowly Eleven just to rid of Zero. No one really approves that she made him her knight."
"She just doesn't understand," Castor said, "she's a year older than us and yet she's acting like a damn child."
Fayer looked at the twin princes and felt very uncomfortable.
"At any rate, we need to find them," Fayer said, "besides if Princess Cornelia finds out…"
"If she finds out, she'll hold us responsible," Castor said with frown, "even if it isn't really our fault."
"But with that in mind," Pullox said.
Pullox and Castor turned to face Sancia, Dalque, and Lucretia who had sad expression.
"How is it that you three were able to escape from the blast?" Castor said angrily.
"This is all your fault!" Pullox said pointing his finger at them, "If you three weren't so incompetent, none of this would have happened."
"We're sorry Your Highnesses," Sancia said.
"Sorry isn't good enough you damn Numbers!" Castor replied angrily.
"It's easy to see that Madd had a hard time dealing with you three," Pullox added.
"All right, take it easy you two," A male voice said, "you know that you can't really pin the blame on them."
Fayer was surprised to see who it was and Castor and Pullox saw the person that spoke and got annoyed.
"Why are you here?" Castor asked.
Meanwhile in the ASEEC trailer, Cecile was looking over and doing calculations on the Lancelot.
"Oh my," Lloyd's voice said.
Cecile turned around to see Lloyd and was surprised to see three people with him.
"Who would imagine a floating aircraft carrier," Lloyd said impressed, "you told me to gather data before practical application, correct?"
"Because I'm extremely interested in whatever it is that you create," A male voice said.
The person spoke was Schneizel and with him were Kanon and Marrybell.
"I needed to see if it can be made real," Schneizel continued.
"And the Hadron Cannon?" Lloyd asked.
"We wanted to know if the thing worked," Schneizel said.
"So that's basically the run down," Kanon said with a smile.
"Indeed," Schneizel said.
"Are you sure that it was okay?" Marrybell asked with concern, "You know that…"
"Yes Marrybell," Schneizel replied with sympathy, "I know what you mean but anyway," Schneizel looked over to Cecile, "I've been looking forward in meeting you Miss Cecile Croomy. I am…"
"Prince Schneizel, here?" Cecile said surprised, "And Princess Marrybell as well?"
Someone suddenly rushed over and it was Bartley and he was offended with how Cecile reacted.
"You impudent…how dare you look down on the second prince and the fourth princess of the empire!" Bartley responded.
"Ah General Bartley!" Cecile responded shocked.
Bartley's sudden appearance surprised and shocked Cecile that when she stood up, she tripped and fell on the floor. Lloyd commented 'nice one' while and Kanon and Marrybell felt bad for Cecile and Marrybell berated Bartley much to the general's surprise. Cecile fell on her rear and complained that it hurt.
"You're not injured I hope," Schneizel said as he offered his hand to Cecile with a smile, "Yes I am Prince Schneizel el Britannia, please give me your hand."
"Oh y-yes," Cecile said with glee was she was being helped up.
Marrybell and Kanon approached Cecile in a friendly manner.
"I'm Princess Marrybell mel Britannia," Marrybell said with a smile, "it's nice to meet you."
"I'm Kanon Maldini," Kanon said with a smile, "I assist Prince Schneizel."
"It's an honor to meet you both," Cecile said happily and with respect.
"Ah, she's not worthy," Bartley commented.
"You're quite the devoted subject, aren't you General?" Lloyd pointed out.
"That's because Prince Schneizel commuted my sentence and saved me from being chained up," Bartley said but also had a sad expression and had his thoughts, "Although…"
Bartley thought about when he met with Emperor Charles alone and how Charles admitted that he knew what he and Clovis were doing regarding the Code-R Project and Bartley was disturbed.
"How convenient for you Bartley," Marrybell said.
"Huh?" Bartley responded out of his train of thought and looked at Marrybell.
Marrybell looked at Bartley with disgust and disdain and Bartley flinched back.
"You get to walk around all free while Clovis takes all the blame for that despicable illegal human experimental project," Marrybell said, "I'm certain that Clovis didn't really force you to go along with it and yet you…"
"P-Princess…" Bartley said as he was wracked with guilt.
"Marrybell, please," Schneizel said with sadness, "it still wounds us with what happened…"
Bartley looked down and felt ashamed.
"Do not torment yourself Bartley," Schneizel said.
"Your Highness," Bartley said looking at Schneizel.
"Regardless of what happened in the past, you have been very helpful to me in this current matter," Schneizel said, "you were helpful to my brother Clovis in spite of the situation that led to his unfortunate death and disgrace. Bartley, I thank you for that so you don't need to think of me in such formality."
"M-My lord," Bartley said.
"It's okay Bartley," Kanon assured, "it's all true."
"Exactly," Schneizel said, "now then Miss Cecile…"
Schneizel kissed her hand which made Cecile blush.
"Farewell," Schneizel said as he, Kanon, Marrybell, and Bartley started to walk away.
"You wait for me at the base Cecile," Lloyd said as he started to walk with the four individuals.
"Huh, where are you going?" Cecile asked.
"Just a little errand," Lloyd answered, "and while I'm doing that, I'll be in the Avalon to look for Suzaku. It's hard to find great devicers like that young man, especially after yesterday's incident."
Marrybell clenched her teeth as she was disgusted with how Lloyd referred to her sister's knight.
"Ah wait a minute," Cecile said suddenly, "were those orders yesterday issued by the prince?"
"Silence!" Bartley said glaring at Cecile, "Unless you want to be held in contempt!"
"Enough Bartley," Schneizel said forcing Bartley to stop in his track and he face Cecile, "It's true, those orders were mine. In fact I also fired the Hadron Cannon. Even in a situation like that, priorities must not be forgotten and besides even if something ominous did happen, we would have still been able to rescue him that is what I gambled on. After all he is Suzaku Kururugi, ace pilot of the Special Corp as well as Euphemia's knight."
"Are you serious Brother?" Marrybell asked in her head doubting Schneizel's words, "Why are you lying?"
"I understand," Cecile said, "and I sorely regret my rudeness. I'm ready to accept any punishment you decree."
"Nonsense, it's my fault for not protecting my subordinate," Schneizel said with a sad expression and then he turned around, "can you ever forgive me?"
Schneizel left with Kanon, Bartley, and Lloyd. Marrybell looked at Cecile with a sympathetic expression and left as well leaving Cecile all alone.
Kamine Island
Euphie was sitting by one side of a huge boulder with her clothes drying out and wrapped in Zero's cape. Lelouch and Rai sat on the other side of the huge boulder.
"When did you figure it out?" Lelouch asked.
"It was back at the hotel jacking," Euphie said.
"I see, I had wondered if I had said too much back then," Lelouch said, "it seems that I did. How embarrassing…"
"With the things you said to me back then, I couldn't think of anyone but you," Euphie said, "it was just so…well you."
"Heh, I see," Lelouch replied, "although I have to say that I'm surprised that you didn't tell anyone. Not even Cornelia or Nonette for that matter."
"Even if I had told our sister, she would have never believed it," Euphie said, "she would never believe that you would fight against Britannia or the fact that you wouldn't want to be found. Cornelia just doesn't understand."
"Sadly I agree," Lelouch said with a frown, "and Cornelia has proven that time and time again."
Rai just looked up in the sky and sighed.
"Nunnally," Euphie said, "Nunnally is Void, isn't she?"
"…Yes she is," Lelouch said.
"So which is it?" Euphie asked.
"Hmm?" Lelouch responded.
"Is Nunnally your second-in command or is she co-leader with you?" Euphie asked.
"Co-leader of the Black Knights," Lelouch said.
"Hmm, I thought so," Euphie said with the smile and then she had a sad expression, "still the hatred that you two must feel for us."
Lelouch thought about the night when he and Nunnally found his mother dead on the stairs in the Aries Villa and how his father reacted when he wanted know why he did nothing for his mother and the fact that Nunnally was traumatized.
"I do have hatred," Lelouch said, "I have hatred for our father for his callous approach. I have hatred for the person or persons who killed and/or even had a hand in my mother's murder and I do have hatred for most members of our family…but Euphie, you're not one of them."
"I see," Euphie said with a smile, "I'm happy to hear that and I am happy to see Rai again."
"I'm happy to see you two as well Princess Euphemia," Rai commented.
"Although I have to say that I'm surprised that you're part of the Black Knights and you're a close confidant to both Lelouch and Nunnally."
"Heh, that's understandable," Rai said.
"So you two are friends?" Euphie asked.
"Yeah, we are," Lelouch said happily.
"Lelouch and Nunnally really helped me out," Rai said, "so I'm grateful to them."
"No need to be so modest Rai," Lelouch said, "you were just as helpful to me and Nunnally. Seriously, we owe you."
"Oh come on Lelouch," Rai replied, "you're just saying that."
"No, I'm being serious about it," Lelouch said, "Nunnally would agree with me."
Meanwhile Nunnally was sitting on a boulder when Jeremiah sat on the ground.
"When did you figure it out?" Nunnally asked.
"The day after you and Prince Lelouch succeeded in rescuing Kyoshiro Todoh," Jeremiah said, "Nonette was going on about how she was going to be able to get Zero on back on our side. I found it strange that she would say that. When I inquired more as to why, she mentioned that she was going to make Zero see that what he was doing was just lashing out and the fact that when it happened, it would just like before, mentioning that it would be for the sake to get the justice for them for what had happened."
"I see…" Nunnally said.
"Not only that, I was able to look at the data and thought about the Knightmares called Lionel and Lucan and the way Zero piloted the Lionel and then the names of those Knightmares," Jeremiah said, "when I think about those things it should have been obvious to me."
"It seems that Nonette was saying too much without realizing it," Nunnally said, "no, maybe that was intentional on her part. Still I'm surprised that you didn't mention this to anyone else."
"I feared that something worse would occur for you two," Jeremiah said, "and I just couldn't stomach it and with everything that had happened, it's obvious why you two wouldn't want to be found. In truth, I'm sure you know that was at your school and spoke with Lord Ashford."
Flashback: Reuben's Office within Ashford Academy
"Lord Jeremiah, do you know what will happen if they were to be known and were to be forced to go back to Pendragon?" Reuben asked.
"They would be protected," Jeremiah declared, "I would protect them so that what happened to Lady Marianne doesn't happen to her children."
Reuben sighed, "I understand what you're saying and I don't doubt your intentions but what about the Emperor himself?"
Jeremiah flinched when the 98th Emperor was mentioned.
"I understand what you're saying Lord Jeremiah and it does pleases me that you still have such loyalty for Lady Marianne and you desire to protect her children," Reuben continued but then had a sad expression, "but sadly, if the Emperor desires it, he could use them for whatever uses he has for them and no one, and I mean no one can really protect them from him…you know this is true."
Flashback End
"If anything, I was more convinced that he knew more than what he told me but he also brought good points in what he said," Jeremiah said and then had a sad expression, "he was right in what he said and I feel ashamed. I couldn't protect your mother and I'm extremely sorry for it. I failed Lady Marianne and I failed you and Prince Lelouch."
"Stop it Jeremiah," Nunnally said with a sad expression.
"My lady…" Jeremiah spoke looking at Nunnally.
"It wasn't your fault," Nunnally said, "You did everything that you were ordered to do. Surely you know that. My brother would say the same thing and I'm sure that mother wouldn't want you to beat yourself up."
"Still I…" Jeremiah spoke feeling ashamed.
Nunnally looked at Jeremiah and sighed sadly and then suddenly Nunnally's stomach growled. Nunnally was surprised and blushed.
"Oh my," Nunnally said, "how embarrassing."
"Fear not my princess," Jeremiah said as he stood up and was determined, "I'm sure I can find a way for us to get food."
Meanwhile Lelouch, Rai, and Euphie were still conversing with each other.
"There's one thing I want to ask you Euphie," Lelouch said.
"Yes?" Euphie replied.
"Before Clovis died, he told me two things about my mother," Lelouch said.
"Oh right," Euphie said remembering that Lelouch had killed their brother Clovis, "what is it?"
"He told me that Schneizel was ordered to move my mother's body," Lelouch said.
"Really?" Euphie replied surprised, "I didn't know that."
"Yes and he also told me that Cornelia had investigated my mother's murder," Lelouch said, "tell me, do you know if she was she able to learn anything regarding my mother's murder."
"No I'm sorry Lelouch," Euphie said sadly, "Cornelia wasn't able to learn anything and she investigated it intently. Cornelia really looked up to Lady Marianne and thought a lot about her."
"I see," Lelouch said, "thanks for telling me," Lelouch then had his thoughts, "Although thanks to CC, Nunnally and I already know who killed my mother and there's no doubt," Lelouch had a dark expression, "Father is covering up for that little bastard. So Cornelia didn't learn of anything. Still one thing that bothers me…"
"Now can I ask you something Lelouch?" Euphie asked.
"Yes?" Lelouch replied.
"Tell me, are you…um…" Euphie spoke but wasn't sure what really say, "Are you…uh…"
"I'm Lelouch," Lelouch said.
"Huh?" Euphie replied surprised and looked at her brother.
"Yes," Lelouch said with a smile, "right here and now, I'm Lelouch, the brother you know Euphie."
Euphie felt glad and wiped the tears streaming her eyes.
"Oh Lelouch," Euphie said and then her stomach suddenly growled and she was embarrassed, "oh my, it seems me feeling relief has made me hungry."
Lelouch and Rai looked at Euphie and smiled.
"Well then in that case, let's get some food," Lelouch said, "today's menu, fish."
"Wait, will you be able to catch fish?" Euphie asked.
"Don't worry, I got it covered," Lelouch said with a confident smile.
Later on, Lelouch was in the water and had just caught a fish.
"Got it," Lelouch said.
Euphie and Rai looked on with Lelouch's clothing piled on a rock and Euphie and Rai were impressed.
"That's amazing," Euphie said, "I didn't know you can catch fish like that."
"Well I learned it from Suzaku," Lelouch said.
"Suzaku?" Euphie replied surprised.
"Yes it was back when Nunnally and I stayed with him and his father," Lelouch said.
"Oh I see," Euphie said and then she realized, "you and Suzaku are friends, right?"
Lelouch was paused and Euphie wondered why he was pausing. Meanwhile Nonette and Naoto were at the edge they looked at the water.
"Are you serious?" Nonette asked.
"Yeah, I'm going to get some fish," Naoto said, "we'll have fish to eat."
"And how are we going to catch some fish?" Nonette asked.
"I got it covered," Naoto said as he unbuttoned his jacket, "someone taught me a way to catch fish. He told me he learned this from a friend of his."
"Really and who is the person that taught you?" Nonette asked.
Naoto was silent and looked away and Nonette was annoyed.
"Come on, tell me," Nonette insisted.
"I should get started," Naoto said.
"Hey," Nonette pouted.
"By the way Nonette, I need some privacy," Naoto said.
"Huh, what?" Nonette responded confused.
Naoto frowned as he felt embarrassed. Meanwhile Jeremiah had a long thin log and was using to dig a hole and Nunnally was just watching.
"Rest assure Your Highness," Jeremiah said, "I know that wild animals roam here. So I'll set up a trap and we'll have food. I'll do all the cooking. So just sit and relax Princess and I'll take care of everything."
"Right," Nunnally said, "but just in case, I'll do my part as well."
Jeremiah flinched and stopped digging and turned to Nunnally.
"Wait, you don't need to do that," Jeremiah insisted, "I'll take care of everything. You don't need to burden yourself."
"It's fine Jeremiah," Nunnally insisted, "and besides, I've learned to take care of myself over the years. I'm going to get some fish and maybe some fruit as well. I know some good spots."
"My lady, I'm wondering," Jeremiah said, "have you been on this island before?"
"Yes I have," Nunnally said, "now if you'll excuse me. I'm going to get some fish and um…Jeremiah, I need some privacy."
"Huh?" Jeremiah replied confused.
Meanwhile a fish was in the air and it was caught by Suzaku.
"Got cha," Suzaku said happy that he caught the fish.
Kallen and Alice were watching on land and they were both impressed.
"Wow, you're really good at that," Kallen said.
"Indeed," Alice said with a nod.
Suzaku tossed the fish to them.
"Do you two want to try?" Suzaku asked, "I wouldn't mind if you help out."
"I'll pass," Kallen replied, "I don't think I'll be that helpful."
"Me too," Alice said, "in fact, I'll go and find some things to eat as well."
"Wait a minute Alice," Suzaku said, "are you—"
"No I'm not going to run," Alice said, "if I did that, I'd be leaving Kallen behind and I'm not to just betray her like that."
"It's just as she says," Kallen said, "I'll stay her and just watch. That should show sign that Alice intends to come back."
"…Okay, I'm holding you on that," Suzaku said.
"I'll be back," Alice said, "I'm sure I can find something like fruit."
"Be careful Alice," Kallen said.
"Right," Alice said with a nod.
Alice handed Kallen her handgun and then left. Meanwhile Rai and Euphie were looking around. Earlier, Euphie decided that she wanted to help and decided to go look for fruit. Lelouch had asked Rai to accompany her and to make sure she stayed safe and Rai happily obliged. They continued to look through the forest while they talked to each other.
"Lost memories?" Euphie spoke surprised.
"Yeah, you see, I was actually on this island three years ago," Rai said, "I don't remember my past but I was found by Lelouch and Nunnally as well as Reuben Ashford and his granddaughter Milly."
"Lord Ashford…" Euphie said, "I see and you can't remember anything from your past nor can you remember how you got here three years ago."
"No," Rai said sadly, "after three years, I still can't remember. I've only started my memories three years ago when I was found."
"I see," Euphie said feeling sad for Rai, "oh Rai…I don't know what to say. I wish there was something I can do."
"Oh don't worry," Rai assured with kindness, "it's not all bad. I mean Lelouch and Nunnally really helped me and I was able to make friends. The three years have been great and that includes getting to meet you."
"With me?" Euphie replied surprised.
"Yeah," Rai said smiling, "Lelouch and Nunnally were always happy when they talked about you and with what you have been doing since you came, well it's just as Lelouch and Nunnally say, you really are kind person."
"I see," Euphie said feeling happy, "thank you Rai."
Euphie had a kind smile and Rai smiled back. Back with Nonette and Naoto, a fish was in the air and it landed on ground next to Nonette's feet. Nonette was surprised as Naoto had submerged and sighed.
"I'll be getting more," Naoto said.
"I can't believe you pulled it off," Nonette said surprised and then decided on something, "You know what, I'm going to check things out. I'll be back and JJ, don't think of trying to escape from me," Nonette pointed at Naoto, "I'll hunt you down."
Nonette left and Naoto just watched Nonette leave.
"I feel that I'm unlucky when it comes to Nonette," Naoto commented as he went back in the water to get more fish.
That's it for this chapter. Next chapter: Schneizel and his entourage arrive on Kamine Island and the unexpected reunion of four groups occurs.
