Battle in Kyushu

In one of the rooms within the Viceroy Palace, Nonette sat in front of a computer and had it switched on showing the emperor who scowled at his Knight of Nine.

"Nonette, you finally decided to report in," Charles said, "so let's hear it. I'll hear your pathetic excuses as why you haven't reported in."

Nonette bit her lower lip and clenched his fists she had on her legs. She then had her hands together and looked at the emperor on the screen.

"My apologies Your Majesty," Nonette said, "It was not my intent to keep you waiting."

"Well?" Charles responded sounding a bit impatient.

"…I'm sorry Your Majesty," Nonette said, "I still have not confirmed the identity of Zero and from what I have observed with Princess Euphemia, I have seen no indication that she's planning anything that would go against the empire."

Charles glared at Nonette and it was if his glare was piercing Nonette's soul through the monitor.

"Nearly a month since you've been in Area 11 and this is all you have to show for?" Charles replied indicating that he was not pleased.

"M-My apologies," Nonette said.

"Pathetic," Charles said harshly, "it seems that you're incapable to doing such a simple task."

"I'm sorry for not producing the results that you desire," Nonette said, "but rests assure, I'll not fail you again. I will get to the bottom of this. I promise you Sire."

"Hmph, see that you do," Charles said, "but know that I will not continue to wait. If you're not up to the task, I'll simply have agents of the OS1 or Jarvis to perform the task."

Nonette flinched at what the emperor said.

"I'll get the job done," Nonette said.

"Hmph, see that you do," Charles said as he cut off the transmission.

Nonette sighed and placed her head on the table. Nonette then had her head up and was extremely worried.

"I need to step up and talk to them," Nonette said with a serious expression, "I need to get Lelouch and Nunnally to listen," Nonette sighed as she shook her head, "I lied to the emperor. I never imagined that would actually lie to the emperor but it was necessary. I need to get through their thick skulls that they need to come back," Nonette frowned as she thought about Naoto, "same goes to JJ and his sister. They won't be able to help their mother if they die."

Nonette got up from their chair and walk to leave the room. Meanwhile in Euphie's own room, Euphie was with Marrybell and Nina who was given a change of clothes. Nina was happy as she was able to speak to Euphie again.

"…And then when you rescued me Princess Euphemia," Nina said happily, "I'll never forget it. You were like a goddess, bathed in the radiance of light. Oh forgive me, I should have thanked you for these change of clothes you gave me."

"Oh don't worry about that Nina," Euphie assured, "but you give me too much credit."

"Too much credit?" Nina asked.

"Yes, I did step in but only after that woman did so," Euphie said with a smile, "she's the one who deserves your thanks, she's the one who really rescued you. The truth is that I didn't really do anything."

"Oh, who was that woman that stepped in?" Marrybell asked, "Was she that Eleven you mentioned?"

"Yes her name was Sayoko," Euphie said with a smile.

Nina was surprised to hear Euphie praise Sayoko and she looked away. Euphie and Marrybell noticed and were confused.

"Nina, is something wrong?" Euphie asked.

"You seem to think well of Sayoko," Nina said.

"Well… I admit that I was impressed," Euphie said with a smile, "she was brave standing up to those men and she wasn't willing to stand by and let what terrible intentions that they had towards you to happen."

"But she's an Eleven," Nina said.

Euphie flinched a bit but calmed herself, "Well but she helped you."

"But only because she was ordered to," Nina said.

"No, that wasn't the case," Euphie said, "I saw her act on her own."

"But…" Nina spoke and then she looked sad and looked at the floor.

Euphie and Marrybell looked at each other as they were confused and then they looked at Nina.

"Nina, do you… do you not like Sayoko?" Euphie asked concerned.

"She's an Eleven," Nina said.

Euphie realized the implication when Nina answered and then had a sad expression.

"It shouldn't be a surprise to you, to us," Marrybell said.

Nina looked at Euphie's sad expression and was shocked.

"P-Princess Euphemia…" Nina said.

"If that's the case then I wonder…" Euphie said, "Nina, what's your interaction with Suzaku?"

"Suzaku?" Nina replied as she looks away, "The thing is that Suzaku… well, he frightens me."

"Frightens you?" Euphie replied as she and Marrybell were surprised, "But how so? Did Suzaku do or say anything that scared you?"

"Well… um, n-no but he still frightens me," Nina said.

"Nina… you're xenophobic, aren't you?" Euphie deduced with a sad expression.

Nina flinched and looked at Euphie and then she looked down with a sad expression.

"I can't help it," Nina said.

"No, of course you can't," Euphie said feeling sorry for Nina.

"Now I see why Natalie felt that her parents were fools making her sister stay here," Marrybell said.

"You know my sister," Nina said.

"I worked with her from time to time," Marrybell said, "I've heard rumors that she might become a Knight of the Round."

"A Knight of the Round?" Nina said surprised.

"Oh, you haven't heard?" Marrybell asked surprised.

"Well no," Nina said shaking her head, "the thing is we don't really talk to each other. She doesn't even talk to my parents."

"Oh, I see," Marrybell said.

"Can I ask you something Princess Euphemia?" Nina asked.

"Oh sure Nina, what is it?" Euphie replied.

"In regarding to Suzaku," Nina said, "why did you choose him as your knight?"

"Why?" Euphie asked.

"Yes why?" Nina asked, "Why choose an Eleven as your knight?"

"You do know that Suzaku is an Honorary Britannian, don't you?" Euphie replied.

"I know but it's still the same," Nina said.

Euphie had a sad expression and then she recalled her conversation with her sister Cornelia as it was made obvious that Cornelia didn't support her choice and then she remembered what had occurred in the old stadium in Shinjuku. Euphie smiled and looked at Nina.

"To answer your question Nina," Euphie said, "I chose Suzaku as my knight because I've seen him work hard and even though he gets belittled, he doesn't let it discourage him. Not only that, when we first met, we made a promise, a promise to change things. Doing anything is not without hardships and yes, there are people who are going to say that it's not possible and that you'll be question on your sanity even. But even so, it's something I desire because I want to change things for the better. I don't want to just accept things just because people say so… even from those who have more power," Euphie nodded and smile, "that's it. Sorry Nina but I'm going to have to cut this short."

"But why?" Nina asked surprised.

"I need to have a word with someone," Euphie said.

Euphie got up and had determination and Marrybell smiled as she could see that Euphemia was feeling better. Nina on the other hand wasn't happy with what was going on.

Fukuoka Base, Kyushu

The Lancelot landed on the ground and moved forward.

"Sawasaki, I'll accept your surrender," Suzaku said, "we can end this peacefully."

"Are you so arrogant to believe that I would actually surrender?" Sawasaki countered with disdain, "I'll never do that, especially to the one who killed his own father. Do you realize when you killed your father, you basically allowed Britannia to rob us our country and our way of life and now you want to crush the dream of Japan's independence? Do you not have any loyalty for Japan or do you just only care about making Britannia happy?"

"It's not that!" Suzaku replied, "But this is not the right way to do this! You're going about this the wrong way!"

"Oh and I suppose your way is so much better," Sawasaki replied sarcastically, "Ha! I heard the recording of the conversation between you and Zero and Void and like everyone else, I'm not buying into your nonsense. It's just as they said, in the end, all you care about is making yourself feel better. You don't really care about Japan. All you care about is what would be good for you!"

"No, that's not—" Suzaku responded.

The Lancelot was suddenly struck from behind and Suzaku looked back and saw that Gung Ru Knightmare Frames were shooting at the Lancelot. The Lancelot dropped the VARIS and one of the Gung Rus shot the VARIS and destroyed it.

"No, my VARIS," Suzaku said as he was getting frustrated, "so those are the Gung Ru units of the Chinese Federation."

In the base, Sawasaki looked on and was pleased.

"Allowing me to distract you," Sawasaki said, "you really are too naïve.

Viceroy Palace, Tokyo Settlement

Euphie and Marrybell entered Cornelia's office where Schneizel, Kanon, and Darlton were staying.

"Oh Euphie and Marrybell as well," Schneizel said, "is there something I can help you two with?"

"Well there is something you can help me," Euphie said.

"What is it?" Schneizel asked.

"Schneizel, may I have access to a private communication line?" Euphie asked.

Fukuoka Base, Kyushu

The Lancelot continued to be shot at by the Gung Ru units and they kept the Lancelot from countering as the Float unit was shot off and destroyed and they forced the seventh generation Knightmare to hide in the alley. In the cockpit of the Lancelot, Suzaku looked and saw the reading of his energy filler quickly getting low.

"My energy filler is already low," Suzaku said shocked.

Avalon

In the bridge of the Avalon, Cecile and Lloyd were horrified that the Lancelot was being pushed down.

"What, he lost the Float unit?!" Lloyd said.

"We need to take the Avalon into the base and attack," Cecile suggested.

"No, we can't!" Lloyd replied frantically, "The shield doesn't surround us completely so one hit and we'll be done for!"

"Suzaku, cut power to all non-combat systems except communication," Cecile contacted.

Fukuoka Base, Kyushu

"Understood," Suzaku replied as he did exactly as he was told cutting off power.

"You should just give up Suzaku Kururugi," Sawasaki contacted, "because either way, you're going to die," Sawasaki grinned, "But of course I'm sure that would also be preferable to you since I heard you also have a death wish."

Suzaku clenched his teeth in response as he was upset to be reminded that the conversation with him, Zero, and Void were recorded and released to the public.

"What happened to my father was unfortunate," Suzaku explained, "you know that it was not my intention to actually kill my father."

"No it wasn't," Sawasaki replied, "But you insist on justifying it."

"But you heard why I did what I did," Suzaku insisted, "my father was ready to sacrifice Japan. Everyone, every Japanese person would have died."

"And you believe that this occupation is a lot better?" Sawasaki responded angrily.

"It can't be helped," Suzaku answered.

"Well I don't believe that Japan would have actually been destroyed," Sawasaki said.

"What do you mean?" Suzaku replied.

"I don't think your father was really going to just sacrifice Japan," Sawasaki said, "no doubt he called for all soldiers to give their lives to protect Japan and keep it from being occupied but I'm sure he wasn't really going to have all of Japan destroyed."

"I would like to believe that but I know that's not true," Suzaku said, "after all I was there."

"Hmph, it really is unbelievable," Sawasaki said, "All these years, I like every other patriotic Japanese believed that your father was a fool, a fool who was also a cowardly traitor for committing suicide but now I understand. It was you all along. You did it and what's worse, the people who covered for you. You can be sure that after you're dealt with, all those who covered for you will pay severely as well starting with Taizo Kirihara."

Suzaku looked around and saw that he was surrounded by forces of the Chinese Federation as well as the terrorist organization of Kyushu.

Kyoto

Kirihara was looking at the view of the Mt. Fuji. He sighed sadly and then other leaders of the Kyoto arrived.

"You do not seem well Kirihara," Munakata said.

"That's quite the understatement," Kirihara said.

"Yes well it can't be helped," Kubouin said, "after all, Suzaku Kururugi is not the only one dealing with the fallout of that recording that Zero and Void revealed."

"Were you really okay with it?" Yoshino asked, "Knowing that you would be implicated for giving the false report of how Prime Minster Kururugi died."

"I was aware of the consequences the moment Lelouch and Nunnally presented me of what they intended to do," Kirihara said.

"Yes but even so," Osakabe said, "couldn't they make it seem like you had no idea?"

"That idea itself is full of holes," Kirihara said, "people would ask questions and lying to the people…"

Kirihara shook his head and the other leaders knew what Kirihara was implying.

"I suppose that's the case," Osakabe said.

"Still what's going to happen moving forward?" Kubouin asked.

Kirihara clenched on his cane and Kaguya looked at Kirihara with worry.

Fukuoka Base

Suzaku fought on even though he was outnumbered by the forces under the command of Sawasaki.

"No, what do I do?" Suzaku said, "Is this the end?"

"Suzaku Kururugi," A female voice spoke.

Suzaku was surprised and he saw that it was Euphie on his upper screen.

"Princess Euphemia?" Suzaku spoke.

"Oh good, I was able to reach," Euphie said, "how are things on your side right now?"

"Heh, to be honest, not good," Suzaku said with a sad smile, "Things are a quite overwhelming here."

"I see…" Euphie said, "I was afraid of this."

Suzaku looked and dodged one of the attacks by one of the Gung Rus.

"Anyway, sorry but I can't talk right now," Suzaku said as he had the Lancelot dodge shots from Gung Rus.

Viceroy Palace

Euphie had a determination expression.

"Suzaku, I need to know your reasons," Euphie said.

"Huh, reasons?" Suzaku responded, "What do you mean?"

"Actually let me ask you this question," Euphie said, "Are you just going to let things end? Do you really mean to break the promise that you made to me when we first met?"

Fukuoka Base, Kyushu

In the cockpit of the Lancelot, Suzaku was shocked at what Euphie was asking of him.

Flashback: Old Coliseum in Shinjuku

"I loved my brother Clovis, he was very dear to me," Euphie said feeling sadness, "however, what my brother was doing in regards of the human experiment and what he did here in Shinjuku is inexcusable and the fact that he had no remorse over the reasons of what he did upsets me," Euphie then looked at Suzaku with determination, "Suzaku, just as you lost your father to the war, I'm sure there people here who have lost their loved ones from the unjustified massacre here. Suzaku, based on what you said, I ask of you… will you help me?"

Suzaku was surprised, "Me?"

"Yes, you will help me so that a repeat of what my brother Clovis did never occurs," Euphie clarified, "that is what I desire Suzaku."

Suzaku was amazed and kneeled before Euphie, "I am unworthy of your kind words," Suzaku lowered his head, "if it pleases you, then I will do everything in my power to assist you."

Euphie smiled, "I'm glad to hear."

Flashback End

Suzaku had a sad expression.

"I'm sorry," Suzaku said, "I can't keep my promise to you. I don't want you to suffer the resentment just because you're associated with me."

"That's something for me to worry about," Euphie said.

Suzaku was taken aback, "Princess…"

"It should be obvious to you by now that I'm not exactly… well I would say part of the norm, especially as a member of the imperial family. But it doesn't matter, I do what I believe in my heart is right. You feel the same way, don't you? You still desire to protect people, don't you?"

"Uh, yes, of course I do," Suzaku said and then had a sad expression, "I just…"

"Don't give up on that," Euphie said.

"Huh?" Suzaku replied.

"Don't give up on that," Euphie said, "Suzaku, with what has come to light, it's clear that the Japanese may not accept you for what you did. In fact, I have a feeling that you may have actually joined the military as a way to atone for what you've done."

"I…" Suzaku said and then smiled, "you guessed right."

"There are others ways you could have done that but it hasn't change on the fact that you said that you would help me," Euphie said.

"But Your Highness," Suzaku said, "the revelation that I killed my own father…"

"I know," Euphie said, "but even with that I still want you by my side as my knight."

"You do?" Suzaku replied surprised, "But why?"

"We can work together and help Japan," Euphie said, "should we do that and show how sincere you are to wanting to help Japan… I mean after all, isn't that what you really want?"

"It is," Suzaku said, "it really is and I would like that… but it's not going to be possible for me."

"Suzaku, don't give up," Euphie insisted, "I'm sure you can still atone for..."

"Princess Euphemia, I thank you," Suzaku said happily, "thank you for not losing faith in me. Thank you for telling me your desire that you still want me by your side. Thank you for accepting me even with my terrible past. I'm really glad to have met you. With that even with everything you said, I'm ashamed so I have a final request. Should something to me, please do not blame yourself for this. Destroy all my records and please tell the people of my school that I switched schools or transferring out or something. I just don't want them to be sad."

Euphie was shocked as she realized what was going on.

"Wait, Suzaku, don't tell me that the Lancelot is…" Euphie spoke.

"You guessed right," Suzaku replied, "the Knightmare is out of energy. Oh and please say goodbye to Lloyd and Miss Cecile as well for me. Give my regards to Lady Enneagram and Prince Schneizel as well," Suzaku chuckled lightly, "I guess it's just how I am… stubborn to the very end."

Viceroy's Palace

Euphie was mortified and shook her head as her eyes widened.

"No Suzaku, you can't die!" Euphie shouted, "You have to live!"

Fukuoka Base, Kyushu

In the cockpit of the Lancelot, Suzaku smiled.

"Worried for me to the end," Suzaku said, "I'm sorry Euphie."

In the command center, Sawasaki looked at the Lancelot with disdain.

"It's over Japan's traitorous son," Sawasaki said, "Finish him!"

Outside the base, the Gung Rus moved in but suddenly, two red beams came from the sky and decimated the units that has surrounded the Lancelot and destroyed them. In the Lancelot's cockpit, Suzaku was surprised.

"What happened?" Suzaku asked.

In the command center, people there were shocked with what just happen.

"Something just appeared on the radar," One of the Chinese Federation soldiers said.

"We got picture," Another soldier said.

The visual showed something floating in the sky and it was actually the Gawain with its arms out. In the Lancelot cockpit, Suzaku was surprised to see the Gawain.

"Wait, that's…" Suzaku spoke.

Viceroy Palace

In the command center, Euphie was surprised to see the Gawain.

"Wait, isn't that the Knightmare that was taken from Kamine Island? Euphie asked herself, "That means…"

Fukuoka Base

One of the soldiers noticed something and was surprised.

"Sir, there's something else there as well," The soldier said.

"What, what is it?" Sawasaki asked.

They got the visual and it was another Knightmare that was following the Gawain and it was Lionel.

"That Knightmare," Tsao said, "isn't that…?"

"The Lionel," Sawasaki said shocked.

In the cockpit of the Lancelot, Suzaku was surprised to see the Lionel.

"Lionel?" Suzaku said and then he frowned, "Zero."

Viceroy Palace

Euphie was shocked to see the Lionel.

"Lelouch, you're there," Euphie said and then she felt glad, "thank goodness."

Fukuoka Base

The Gawain continued to soar through the sky and the Lionel continued to move on the ground. In the cockpit of the Gawain was two people and it was Milly and Shirley.

"My goodness, that was a close one," Shirley said, "Suzaku really got himself in a jam."

"It seems that our dear Suzaku is just as reckless as ever," Milly said.

"Yes but this time it seems that he's following someone else's plan," Lelouch said through a private line.

"Someone else's plan Lulu?" Shirley asked.

In the cockpit of the Lionel, Lelouch in his Zero costume without his mask on nodded.

"Yes, they sent a single fighter to try to disrupt the main force," Lelouch said, "even if Suzaku should fall, Cornelia could easily move right on in."

"So how much you want to bet that this is our brother Schneizel's plan?" Nunnally contacted.

"Ha, there's no point," Lelouch replied, "it's obvious."

Two air gunships arrived and went after the Gawain.

"These people are in our way," Lelouch said, "let's fix that."

Lelouch piloted the Lionel to shoot of its Slash Harken from its left wrist and it struck one of the air gunships latching on to it. He then swung the rope of the Slash Harken that held on to the air gunship and had the latched air gunship collide with the other air gunship bringing both of the down.

"Thank you Lulu," Shirley said happily.

"No problem," Lelouch said with a smile, "all right let's go."

"Yes, right behind you," Milly said and then she and Shirley saw something, "Oh wait, hang on."

"I see them," Shirley said.

Two more air gunships appeared and the Gawain fired the two beams from its shoulders and destroyed the two charging air gunships.

"Excellent you two," Lelouch said.

Avalon

In the bridge of the Avalon, Lloyd and Cecile were shocked in what they saw the Gawain did.

"I thought the Hadron Cannon was still in development," Cecile said.

"They were able to make the beams converge?" Lloyd spoke as he was not happy and still shocked, "But I wanted to be the one to perfect that system!"

Black Knights' Submarine

In one of the rooms, Rakshata and her science team were looking over the schematics of the Gawain.

"Looks like integrating the Gefjun Disturber worked," Rakshata said, "but that Float System is more advanced than mine. Of course this concludes that this is another of the Earl of Pudding's work. A little collaboration on both sides inadvertently… oh, how distasteful."

Fukuoka Base, Kyushu

The Lionel and the Gawain stood in front of the Lancelot.

"Kururugi, it looks like you're in quite a bind here," Zero said.

"Zero, I should have known you would be here," Suzaku said, "well you and Void must be pretty proud of yourselves."

"Hmm, what do you mean?" Zero asked.

"Come on, you know exactly what I mean," Suzaku replied, "You… you exposed my secret… you know when I killed my own father."

"Oh, that," Zero said.

"Wow, being so nonchalant about it," Suzaku replied upset, "about what you did."

"You're acting like my sister and I promised to keep your secret," Zero said.

"Well of course you didn't especially with how you found out… but do you and Void realized what you've done?" Suzaku said, "I've been accused of many things because of what you did. My credibility has been destroyed but I guess that makes you happy. Willing to do whatever it takes to get what you want, not caring of the damage that you cause to other people."

"Oh pardon me Kururugi, is this the part where I'm suppose to give a damn?" Zero replied.

"Zero," Suzaku growled in response.

"Anyway, I didn't come here to argue with you," Zero said.

"Excuse me?" Suzaku replied surprised.

In the command center within the Fukuoka Base, Sawasaki and the others were hearing Zero's voice.

"That voice..." Tsao said.

"It's Zero, it has to be," Sawasaki said.

"Is that an open channel?" Tsao asked.

"Yes sir, it is," One of the soldiers said.

"Then stay on it," Tsao ordered, "we need to hear what Zero is after."

Back outside, The Lionel and the Gawain were still facing the Lancelot.

"From what I observed in your fight, I suspect that your energy filler is almost dried up so with that, you can't do much against Sawasaki and his forces," Zero said.

"What's your point?" Suzaku asked.

"My point is that I'm going to do it," Zero said.

"Wait, what?" Suzaku asked.

"I'm going to take down the command center with my followers controlling the Gawain here," Zero said.

In the command center, Sawasaki, Tsao, and the others were shocked to hear Zero's intentions. Sawasaki couldn't believe it as he was sure that Zero would actually cooperate with him and his forces. In the cockpit of the Lancelot, Suzaku was still surprise to hear Zero's intentions.

"You don't actually don't like what Sawasaki is doing, do you?" Suzaku deduced.

"It's extremely obvious that Sawasaki is a puppet of the Chinese Federation and if they succeed, the Chinese Federation will take over," Zero said, "nobody wants that."

"I see," Suzaku said, "I would say to you that you should stay out of this since you go about things the wrong way as well… but with my situation here, I'm unable to stop you even if I wanted to so for once, I'm going to ask you Zero… please stop Sawasaki."

"That I will do," Zero said and then had the Lionel turned to the Gawain, "let's go, we're putting an end to this."

The Lionel and the Gawain proceed to charge towards the command center and Suzaku just watched and then he looked and saw that his energy filler was completely empty. In the base, Sawasaki clenched his teeth.

"Send everyone after them!" Sawasaki ordered, "Stop them! Stop the Lionel and the other Knightmare!"

The Chinese Federation forces went on the attack but the Lionel and the Gawain were able to counter against them and strike them down by groups. The Gawain used its Hadron Cannon on groups of tanks while Zero had just shot down more Gung Ru units with its VARIS rifle. It was then that he was contacted by Sawasaki.

"Sawasaki," Zero said.

"Zero, why are you doing this?" Sawasaki asked, "I've thought of you as an ally. We should be working together, working together for the sake of Japan!"

"You actually expect me to believe you Sawasaki?" Zero replied, "What you're really doing to trying to give Japan to the Chinese Federation. The Independence of Japan that you speak of is nothing but a sham and everybody knows it."

In the command center, Sawasaki clenched his teeth and was upset in what Zero had just said.

"What are you saying?" Sawasaki replied, "What I'm doing is for the sake of Japan being free again. It's not a lie, not a sham!"

"Sawasaki," Suzaku contacted, "if this is for Japan, then why did you run to the Chinese Federation? You should have stayed for everyone's sake but instead you just ran away."

Sawasaki was livid in what Suzaku had just said to him.

"You have the nerve to lecture me?!" Sawasaki replied angrily, "You of all people, a murdering child?! You have no right to lecture me boy, especially since you're the reason why Japan got occupied in the first place!"

There was suddenly a tremor that Sawasaki, Tsao and those with them felt. It was the Gawain that broke through and had entered the base and the Lionel followed suit. In the Black Knights' Submarine, Rakshata was pleased in what she was seeing and was impressed with Milly and Shirley controlling the Gawain. Meanwhile in the bridge of the Avalon, Lloyd was not pleased that not only the Lancelot was out of power to even move but also that the Lionel and the Gawain just showed up to take care of the rest. Lloyd wouldn't have mind if the Lancelot was still able to move and fight but it was not the case and it was a bitter taste for Lloyd Asplund. Cecile on the other hand was just glad that Suzaku was fine. She wasn't sure how Prince Schneizel and Princess Cornelia was going to respond with how things went but for now, she felt there were things that they could control at the moment.

Viceroy Palace

"I see," Euphie said as she looked on seeing what was happening at Kyushu, "Lelouch, you really are…"

Kyushu

Cornelia and her forces were taken down Knightmare Frames that were piloted by the terrorist group of Kyushu as well as Gung Ru Knightmare Frames of the Chinese Federation.

"What, Zero?" Cornelia spoke surprised.

"Yes Your Highness," Guilford said, "he saved Kururugi."

"Zero fighting on our side?" Cornelia asked, "No, that doesn't sound right and I doubt he actually was really saving Kururugi. So why did he get involved?"

Black Knights' Submarine

The core members of the Black Knights were watching the battle in Kyushu with the Lionel and the Gawain dominating against the forces of the Chinese Federation.

"I see now," Diethard said impressed, "so the plan was to get there stealthily."

"That's right," Nunnally said.

"Also it looks like your two friends are able to handle the Gawain well," Naoto said.

"Yeah, well it did help that we taught them what they needed to know in such a limited time," Rai said.

"Yeah, it is…" Kallen said.

Alice, Nunnally, and Rai looked at Kallen with concern.

"Kallen, are you okay?" Alice asked.

"Huh, oh yeah, yeah I'm fine," Kallen said, "I just wish that I was out there with the Guren to help," Kallen then had her head, "I mean after all, with what happened at Kamine Island, I don't think we can return to school."

"Kallen," Naoto said.

"I know though," Kallen said with a nod, "this isn't about winning in this case, right?"

"That's right," Diethard said, "The Black Knights' participation is an undeniable truth. Of course it will never be officially reported but the rumors will spread and everyone will know what happened here."

Kyoto

The Six Leaders of Kyoto were watching the battle taken place in Kyushu.

"So this is their intention," Munakata said.

"So with that, it's just as Lelouch says," Osakabe said.

"That's right," Kirihara said, "Protecting Japan is what matters and one of the main priorities of the Black Knights."

"With this, the people will continue to support the Black Knights," Kubouin said, "and the support will continue to grow."

Kaguya just smiled as she was thrilled as she continued to watch the battle.

"Lelouch, you really are meant to be my husband," Kaguya thought happily.

Fukuoka Base

Sawasaki and Tsao decide to make their escape as they are riding in a car.

"What's wrong with going to another country and then waiting for the right opportunity to strike?" Sawasaki asked as he was annoyed with what Suzaku had said to him, "It's a legitimate strategy."

"We should regroup our forces in Kagoshima," Tsao suggested.

"Right, I appreciate your help," Sawasaki said.

They got to the helipad where there was a helicopter for them to ride in to escape. The helicopter was suddenly struck by the Lionel's MVS Claiomh Solais and the helicopter pilot got out of there. The driver of the car as well as Sawasaki, and Tsao were shocked as the Lionel showed up along with the Gawain.

"It's over Sawasaki," Zero said, "This is the end of the line for you."

"T-This can't be!" Sawasaki said still shocked, "They were actually able to take down all the forces in Kyushu with very little effort?"

In the cockpit of the Gawain, Milly and Shirley were pleased and in the cockpit of the Lionel, Lelouch was pleased as well. The Lionel pointed its VARIS Rifle at Sawasaki and Tsao.

"It's over," Zero said.
