Raius yo Britannia
In one of the rooms within the Black Knights' Submarine, Lelouch, Nunnally, Rai, Alice, CC, Jinta, and Sayoko were meeting.
"Raius yo Britannia," Rai said, "that is my full name."
This is surprised the others in the room.
"Raius yo Britannia?" Lelouch replied surprised.
"Wait a minute Rai," Nunnally said, "d-does that mean that…?"
"Yeah," Rai said with a sad smile, "I was actually born from the Britannian Imperial Family. Not only that, but I also possess something. It's the same that you Lelouch and Alice have."
"Wait, you mean you have…?" Alice asked.
"Yes," Rai said as he activated his Geass, "I too also have Geass," Rai then quickly deactivated his Geass, "although I wish I never came to possess this power, especially from someone who likes to make others feel miserable."
CC and Jinta looked at each other and then figured who Rai was referring to and they looked at Rai.
"Rai, it was VV, wasn't it," CC said.
Rai chuckled sadly in response and nodded.
"Yeah, I got my Geass from VV," Rai said, "and he couldn't help himself to rub in my face of the terrible mistake that I made."
"A mistake?" Lelouch asked, "Rai, what mistake are you talking about it?"
Rai closed his eyes and then he opened them with a sad expression.
"Years ago, I was once Emperor of Britannia," Rai said sadly, "and during my reign, I caused the deaths of the very people I swore to protect," Rai clenched his teeth and felt ashamed, "and it all because I wasn't careful with my Geass."
The other in the room was surprised and sad to hear what Rai said.
1978atb, Pendragon, Holy Britannian Empire
Rai was in his imperial garb as a prince was sitting on hill and looked at the mountains.
"During the time, I was the 4th Prince of Britannia and my father, Roland ke Britannia was the 95th Emperor of Britannia," Rai said, "my father had obtained the throne of Britannia and it ended the Emblem of Blood."
"I see," Lelouch said, "I remember hearing your father's name once but not much of his heir and his reign was not spoken of but of course that tends to happen."
"Correct," Rai said, "after my father became emperor, he eliminated anyone and everyone who went against him and even eliminated supporters of those that father did not like. He was quite feared in Britannia. No one went against him and those that did were immediately executed."
"There you are Raius," A woman spoke.
Rai looked and saw a woman and a girl. The woman had long black hair and teal eyes and wore a dark color imperial dress and the girl had short silver hair and teal eyes and wore a light pink dress with dark red shoes.
"Hello Mother," Rai said with a smile, "hello Shina."
"Rai," The girl said Shina said happily as she rushed over to Rai.
Rai stood up as Shina got to him and Rai petted her head.
"My mother was Miyabi yo Britannia," Rai said, "she of course was Japanese and she actually came from a family that was close to Sumeragi family."
"Sumeragi?" Nunnally asked surprised, "Kaguya's family?"
"That's right," Rai said, "I don't know much of the details but from what it seems that my father had visited Japan and met my mother. But with my father, I suspect that he was… well, forceful to have my mother as one of his consorts. I wouldn't be surprised if he had threatened to invade and destroy Japan if my mother had refused."
"How sickening," Lelouch said.
"Yeah it really is," Rai said, "but regardless my mother went with my father to Britannia and became his 4th Imperial Consort and it result of me and my sister being born."
"Oh you had a sister," Nunnally said.
"Yes a younger sister," Rai said, "her name was Shina and she was such a sweet and kindhearted girl. Heh, in fact Nunnally, she was like you and Euphie."
Present
Rai was smiling thinking of his mother and sister.
"It sounds like you had happy times," Lelouch said.
"I did," Rai said and then had a sad expression, "and yet, that happiness didn't last even I went through the trouble to do whatever it took to protect them."
"Rai," Nunnally said with a sad expression.
Rai shook his head, "I guess it's too much for me."
"I imagine," Alice said with concern, "look Rai, you don't have to continue if you don't want to. The fact that you regained your memories is enough."
"Thank you Alice," Rai said, "but I do want to continue. I feel that I would feel better talking about it with you guys."
"Well okay," Alice said.
"Just remember you can stop if you don't feel like continuing," Lelouch said.
"Thanks," Rai said with a nod, "anyway, myself, my mother, and my sister had each other. My father wasn't around much but that was to be expected."
Pendragon 1978atb
"Well now, look who it is," A male voice said in a smug tone.
Rai frowned as he as well as Miyabi and Shina recognized the voice. They looked over and saw three young men in imperial attires. One of them had short light orange hair and green eyes and wore a dark purple imperial coat with white slacks, black dress shoes and white gloves. The other had shoulder-length dark brown hair and purple eyes and wore a green imperial coat with brown slacks and white dress shoes. The third had long light blue hair that was tied to a ponytail and had teal eyes and he wore a white imperial robe with white slacks and black dress shoes. Rai stared at the three young men and clenched his fists as he was not happy to see them.
Present
"Would those three be…?" Alice asked.
"Yeah, my older half-brothers," Rai said, "my eldest brother who was the crown prince at the time Croix de Britannia. My second eldest brother Patrick ha Britannia and my third eldest brother Garrick ze Britannia."
"By the way of your tone, your relationship with your brothers is the same as it is with me and Nunnally and most of our own half-siblings," Lelouch deduced.
"You have assumed right Lelouch," Rai said.
Lelouch, Nunnally, and Alice looked at each other and then looked back to Rai.
Pendragon 1978atb
"Still at it I see," The orange haired prince said.
"Croix," Rai replied.
"I know that you don't have much of a good memory being such outsiders," Croix said, "but do remember your place here."
"Which is none if you get down to it," The dark haired prince said in a chuckle.
"Patrick," Rai said.
"Now, now, let's be so harsh," The light blue haired prince said with a smile.
"Garrick," Rai said.
"After all they can't help it," Garrick said with a smile, "it's tough being outsides trying to pretend to be one of us. They really can't help themselves."
"That's enough," Rai said as he went and faced his brothers, "we just want to be left alone."
"Oh are you talking back to us?" Croix asked.
"Raius," Shina said with worry as she latched on Rai's arm.
"Raius, it's okay," Miyabi said.
"Hmph, well we do have more important things to do," Croix said, "Raius, know that the next time you make the mistake of going against us, I can't say that you'll be very healthy as a result," Croix pointed at Rai, "you better remember that."
Croix, Patrick, and Garrick left and Rai clenched his teeth.
"Raius," Miyabi said.
"Please don't worry Mother and Shina," Rai said, "I promise that I will protect you two."
"You will?" Shina asked.
"I will," Rai said smiling at his sister.
"Raius, I know this is hard but please don't do anything that will get you hurt," Miyabi said, "don't go so far just for our sake."
"Please don't worry Mother," Rai said, "I won't let anything happen to you and Shina and I'll be careful."
Present
"It was a regular occurrence," Rai said with a frown, "not just with my half-brothers but their mothers, the other imperial consorts as well as the majority of the nobles looked down on me, my mother and my sister. Every time they saw us, they would go out of their way to make us feel unwelcome and make us feel that we're just invading, sometimes forgetting or not even caring for the fact that my father the 95th Emperor of the time was the one who desired for my mother and well he as suspect… forced her to come live with him in Britannia as one of his consorts. As things went on, it got to the point where we were blatantly threatened with physical harm. In fact, Croix went to say that he would actually kill my little sister first and would make me and my mother watch."
"Wait, did he actually do that?" Alice asked shocked.
"Yeah," Rai said.
"Unfortunately, that's not hard to believe," Lelouch said.
"It's kind of like the same with what was going on in our situation," Nunnally said.
"Yeah but I don't know if my father had encouraged it," Rai said, "but I know that he knew what was going on but didn't give a damn. Even when my mother spoke to him…"
Pendragon, Holy Britannia Empire, 1978atb
Rai was walking in the hall of the Pendragon Imperial Palace and saw the door to the throne room opened and there he peeked in the throne room and there was his mother speaking to his man who was tall and had silver hair and blue eyes who wore a dark red imperial jacket with red slacks and dark brown boots and it was the 95th Emperor of Britannia, Roland ke Britannia.
"Please I'm begging you," Miyabi pleaded, "is there anything you can do? I don't care about them threatening and actually physically harming me but Raius and Shina are innocent."
Roland sighed as he was annoyed.
"You came here to bother me about that?" Roland asked.
"It's getting out of control," Miyabi said, "please Your Majesty, please at the very least, I beg of you, please don't let harm come to our children."
"You're wasting my time with such nonsense," Roland said coldly.
"N-Nonsense?" Miyabi replied.
As Rai was listening in, he was also shocked in what father had just said.
"I could care less of what you all do," Roland said, "if they fight each other so be it. If Raius and Shina die as a result of it, then it just means that they are weak. This is what it means to be royalty of Britannia and if you can't understand that then that's your problem."
"Roland, please!" Miyabi pleaded.
"Enough!" Roland roared at Miyabi which caused his 4th consort to shrink in fear, "I'm done hearing your pathetic pleadings. You will leave now Miyabi."
Miyabi was shocked and was wide eyed to how cold Roland was being.
"R-Roland," Miyabi said.
"Did you not hear me?" Roland asked as he stood up from his throne, "Leave Miyabi!"
Miyabi stepped back and then had her head down. She then turned around and left and Roland huffed as he sat back down on his throne.
"Such foolishness," Roland said.
Miyabi left the throne and was surprised to see Rai who looked at her mother with a sad expression and then Miyabi just broke down and cried and Rai tried to comfort his mother. Later on at night in the villa that belonged to the yo Britannia, Miyabi was looking out of the window and staring at the moon.
"Mother," Rai said.
"Oh Raius," Miyabi said as she turned to see her son.
"Mother, you should get some sleep," Rai said.
"I'm fine," Miyabi assured with a smile, "don't worry about me. You should go ahead and get some sleep yourself. You have your lessons tomorrow."
"Mother…" Rai said with a said expression.
"Don't worry Raius," Miyabi insisted, "I'll be fine. Everything will be fine."
Rai had sad expression and then he sighed. Rai was about to go head upstairs until he suddenly heard something from outside. Miyabi heard it as well and wondered what it was. Suddenly Miyabi noticed something and rushed to get Rai down on the floor as a barrage of bullets hailed on to the villa shattering the windows. Rai and Miyabi were able to stay on the floor as gunshots were spraying at the villa. Shina suddenly appeared from one of the rooms of the first floor and Rai quickly went to his sister and had her on the floor as gunshots continued on the villa. Shina was scared out her mind as she screamed and covered her ears and Rai got Shina and their mother together as the bullets sprayed at the villa. After some time there was silence and Rai, Miyabi, and Shina wondered if it was safe. Rai slowly looked up and saw there were several figures that were running from the place and Rai assumed that it was the people that had been shooting at them through the manor. It was a terrifying experience to the yo Britannia as Shina was crying and Miyabi was hugging her daughter. Rai looked his mother and sister and wondered if there was anything he could do.
Present
"It was afterwards the next day that I found out that the people who were shooting us were connected to nobles who supported my brothers," Rai said with a frown, "it seemed sloppy with the way they were shooting at us so I'm not sure if they were truly trying to kill us that night or if they just intended to scare and traumatize us or just to let us know that they could easily kill us there would no consequences even if they had confessed. To this day, I still don't know but I do know is that after the shooting the harassments towards us were gradually escalating. As each day went by, my brothers as well as the other consorts and nobles were no longer just insulting us verbally to our faces, they started attacking us physically. The other imperial consorts would attack my mother and blatantly said that they hoped she got murdered in the worse way. There have been people have thrown things at my sister even going far as to try to actually cut her and wound her body. As for me, there had been times that I had been punched and kicked by not only by brothers but by also some of his friends and lackeys. It had gotten so bad for us that we would most of the time not leave our villa but that was not always a guarantee that we would be safe even in our own home."
"How horrible," Nunnally said upset.
"It seems that our situation back in Pendragon was tamed compared what you had to go through Rai," Lelouch said, "considering even the people who resented us were limited on how they could harass and threatened us but that didn't seem to be the case for your situation."
"Yeah and as you can imagine, I was sick of it and I wanted to get back on all who went after my and mothers and sister and make them pay. Well someone appeared before me and gave me that opportunity to do just that."
"And that's when VV came in," CC deduced.
Pendragon, 1978atb
Rai was in the yard of his villa and slammed his fist on the table. He had bruises on his face from the beatings he got from his brothers and friends.
"Damn them," Rai said angrily, "they won't stop until we're actually dead. They want us dead, it's obvious and Father is just sitting back and not giving a damn. What was the point of him forcing my mother to marry him and have her give birth to me and Shina if he's just going to stand by and allow and even encourage them to make our lives a living hell and be okay if we die in the process?"
"A legitimate question," VV's voice said suddenly.
Rai was shocked and he looked and saw VV who was just standing there and smiling.
"A child?" Rai asked, "Who are you kid? How did you get here? Wait, oh I see… you were sent here by one of my brothers or was it one of the imperial consorts?"
"No one sends me," VV said, "There's no need to worry Raius. I'm actually here to help you."
"Help me?" Rai asked and then glared at VV, "Yeah right, I find that hard to believe."
"It's understandable that you wouldn't believe me considering everything that you had gone through but believe me when I say that I'm willing to help you."
"Really and why would you do that?" Rai asked.
"I have my reasons," VV said, "I know that you don't want this to continue. You do want to protect them, right?"
"Huh?" Rai replied.
"Your mother and sister," VV said, "you want to protect them and you want to assure their safety by ending the ones that literally wants them and you dead, isn't that right? Well I can help you with that."
"Help me?" Rai asked, "But how?"
"If you agree to form a contract with me," VV said, "then you will be given something, the power that will allow you to be able to protect your mother and sister as well as get revenge on all those that has wronged you who are also willing to kill you those you love."
Rai was surprised and then he thought about his mother and sister who were in the manor and then thought about Croix, Patrick, and Garrick who were hounding him and the time literally stomped him on the ground and how he saw his sister was being in the situation where members of the noble family were blatantly trying to cause physical harm to her and how his mother was being call sorts of horrible names and was threatened by the other consorts and high ranking nobles.
"Say, who are you?" Rai asked.
VV smiled, "You can refer me as VV."
"And it was right there and then that you accepted the contract from VV and received your Geass," Lelouch said.
"Yes that's correct," Rai replied, "and when I received my Geass and understood what I was capable of, that was when I began my revenge."
Present
"Rai, if you don't mind me asking," Alice said.
"Yes Alice?" Rai replied.
"What is your Geass power?" Alice asked.
"Oh right," Rai replied, "I should mention this since I have it back. Well actually my Geass is the same as Lelouch's."
"As mine?" Lelouch responded as he, Nunnally, and Alice was surprised.
CC and Jinta were surprised as well and they were also curious.
"My Geass is like Lelouch allows me to compel anyone to do my bidding," Rai explained, "however my Geass actually goes with sound propagation instead of visual information. My Geass affects those who hear me including myself and so people who are immune to my Geass are those that are deaf and since it conveys to my natural voice, it can't be propagated through relays like speakers and recorders."
"So it has to be done by you in person in real time," Alice said.
"Yes and the range is limited to a distance in which I can be heard," Rai continued.
"I see now," Lelouch said as he pondered, "that is interesting. Your Geass activated by the sound of your own voice."
"I find it hard to believe that VV, our uncle was the one who gave Rai his Geass," Nunnally said, "from what we learned, he didn't seem like the type to really care or help anyone but Father."
"I once genuinely believed that VV was some sort of guardian helping me to help protect the two people I cared about," Rai said, "but I was wrong and it wasn't until the end that I realized that I was just a means to an end to him."
"Rai…" Lelouch said with concern.
"When I got my Geass, I used it to get my revenge on everyone who looked down and was willing to cause harm to me, my mother, and my sister. The first thing that I did was go after the people that supported my brothers who had an hand in the things they did and I used my Geass to either get information or command them to kill themselves. One by one, I was eliminating all my enemies. Of course, some of them pleaded with me to spare their lives and promised to pledge their loyalties to me. Of course I refused as I refused to forgive them for what they did and so I killed them. And when it came time to confront my brothers…"
Pendragon 1978atb
Rai was facing his brother, Garrick, Patrick, and Croix and his three half-brothers were upset.
"I know you're expecting for some of the guards to come in and shield you three from me," Rai said, "but that's not going to happen. I'm just going to say that I convinced them that they should not be around anymore," Rai had a dark expression, "I freed themselves from their mortal selves."
"Raius, what have you done?" Patrick asked angrily, "Did you kill them?"
"Do you really need to ask?" Rai responded glaring at his second eldest brother, "The answer is obvious."
"N-No way," Garrick said shocked, "it can't be… there's no way you have done it. You're weak and you're just a disgusting half-blood. There's no way that our strongest guards could have all died by you by using a gun."
"Disgusting half-blood," Rai repeated, "so prejudice but you're right, there's no way that even with a gun on me that I would be able to kill all of them as they are indeed the strongest of bunch but like I said… I used another means to take them all down and convinced them to free themselves of their own lives."
"Raius," Croix said calmly, "I hope you're prepared for the consequences for what you've done," Croix then had a smug expression, "but I'm willing to overlook this if you beg for forgiveness right now. You also won't have to worry about your mother and sister paying the price for your stupid action," Croix sported a sadistic grin, "after all, it would be a real shame that they would be executed and oh, you would be forced to watch and then be imprisoned for the rest of your miserable life. Well what do say Little Brother?"
Patrick and Garrick laughed in glee of the things that Croix had said and were confident that Raius would be trapped.
"Yes, what do you say now Raius?" Garrick asked in glee.
"It would be so easy to get more people on this and have that outsider woman and girl flailed around for this insolence," Patrick said in glee.
There was a sudden shot and it surprised the three brothers and they looked and it was Croix who just got shot in the heart.
"Oh," Croix said surprised.
Croix fell on the floor dead and Patrick and Garrick screamed in horror seeing their eldest brother dead and then they looked and saw that Rai had just shot him with a handgun.
"I'm going to pass up on your suggestion," Rai said.
"Raius, you bastard!" Patrick screamed.
Right after Patrick said that, Rai shot Patrick in the head and Patrick fell on the floor dead with his eyes opened. Garrick screamed bloody murder and turned and ran to get away.
"You'll do," Rai said and then he activated his Geass, "Kill yourself."
Garrick stopped as he was affected by Rai's Geass with a sort of a global glow.
"As you wish," Garrick said controlled by Rai's Geass.
Rai then tossed the handgun to Garrick's feet and then Garrick saw and picked up the handgun and shot himself in the head and fell on the floor dead. Rai went over and looked at the bodies of his brothers who had tormented him and his sister and mother.
Present
Rai sat down on a chair and sighed.
"I had set things up after I had done the deed," Rai said, "I made it look like Garrick had gone crazy and killed both Croix and Patrick before taking his own life. Their mothers were devastated that their sons were dead. They got along with each as they had a common enemy and that was my mother and making my mother as well as me and Shina miserable however with what had happened to their sons, they had immediately turned on each other. Garrick's mother refused to believe that Garrick had actually did the deed and actually accused that it was had been either Croix or Patrick that was at fault. Of course naturally, Patrick's mother and Croix's mother was livid that Garrick's mother would make such a claim and they blamed each other which led to huge fights with the three imperial consorts and as a result, they ended up killing each other. It would have been over for me since I finally got my revenge on the people that had tormented and were ready to kill me and my family however I was not done as I felt that there was one more person who had to pay and it was someone who I felt was allowing the terrible things that my mother and sister faced were happening and who chose to do nothing."
"And I'm guessing that it would be your father," Lelouch said.
"Yes," Rai said, "I felt it was time that my father paid for allowing the torment and high chance of my mother, my sister and myself to be killed."
"So you decided to confront your father," Jinta said.
"That I did," Rai said.
Area 11
In the Viceroy Palace within the Tokyo Settlement, Cornelia was sitting in her throne in the throne with Guilford standing next to her.
"Your Highness, what do you want to do?" Guilford asked.
"I really don't know," Cornelia replied, "I don't know what to really do. On one hand, I can't let them get away with the things they've done but on the hand," Cornelia had a sad expression, "they're my… they're my…"
"Your Highness," Guilford said as he kneeled in front of Cornelia.
"I'm sorry Guilford," Cornelia said sadly, "this isn't like me at all."
"I say that it's understandable," Guilford said.
Meanwhile in the Special Administrative Zone, the place was still being built as the people were moving in the zone to have the right to be called Japanese. In the bridge of the G-1 Mobile Base, Euphie was meeting with Jeremiah.
"I see," Euphie said, "so you know about Lelouch and Nunnally as well."
"Yes, I was able to confirm at Kamine Island," Jeremiah said.
"I see," Euphie said, "so that's what happened with you and Nunnally. Although I'm surprised, I would have thought that you would have gone with them."
"I wanted to," Jeremiah said, "I really wanted to go with them and to be their sword and shield but both of them insisted asked me to stay here and aid you Your Highness."
"I see," Euphie said and then she smiled, "I guess that they have some hope for the zone or maybe they want to have you to support me."
"Yes that is the case," Jeremiah said, "It's actually the fact that they want me to help you and help the zone."
"Even though they…" Euphie spoke and then she shook head, "no, they may want it so that I can be protected even though I have my knight."
"You can take as you see it Princess," Jeremiah said.
"I see," Euphie said, "but Jeremiah, I won't be a Princess."
"Ah, but still…" Jeremiah said with a sad expression.
"Euphie!" Marrybell called out.
Marrybell came rushing it.
"Marry," Euphie said.
"There's going to be an announcement," Marrybell said, "by the Emperor himself."
"I see," Euphie said, "so it's finally going to be announced."
"Regardless of the announcement," Marrybell said, "I'll still support you."
"I shall support you as well," Jeremiah said, "after all even you no longer have the title, I'm willing to support you."
"Thank you both," Euphie said.
"It's no problem," Marrybell said, "but may I assume that Cornelia and even Schneizel doesn't know about this?"
"That's correct, they don't," Euphie said, "it's going to be a surprise to them as well."
"I wonder if you no longer an heir to the throne will be the only thing," Jeremiah said.
"Huh, what do you mean?" Marrybell asked.
"Well His Majesty is not known for being accepting of things that gives equal rights to people," Jeremiah said.
"No, no he's not," Euphie said.
"But it'll be fine," Marrybell said, "after all this Special Zone has actually drove the Black Knights out and Area 11 is on its way to be stabilize and peaceful."
"But even so, it's not something that Father would be pleased of even if getting rid of the elements that would that go against the empire," Euphie said and she sighed, "I feared that I had seriously underestimated things even when giving my title…"
"Euphie?" Marrybell spoke with worry.
Later a public address was being broadcasted all over Area 11 and all over the world and Britannian flag was shown. People were listening and watching the address was being broadcasted live from Pendragon. The screen was shown of a podium in front of the large Britannian flag.
"Ladies and gentlemen," The announcer said, "His Imperial Majesty, the 98th Britannian Emperor, Charles zi Britannia."
There was thunderous applause live from the Pendragon as Charles walked over and stood behind the podium and gripped his gloved hands on the sides of the podium. Charles looked on being as intimidating as ever.
"All men are not created equal," Charles started, "and the world is full of lies."
Black Knights' Submarine
Zero and Void had just entered the bridge.
"Zero, Void," One the Black Knights said, "We have visual of the island."
"Excellent," Zero said.
Orpheus came in the bridge as well and he looked at the signature and the visual and he nodded.
"This is it, right Orpheus?" Void asked.
"Yes, that's the island," Orpheus said.
Zero gave the order to continue on to go straight to the island while went to get and gather the core members of the Black Knights.
The Uncharted Island
The huge submarine that belonged to the Black Knights arrived to the island and got to the island's dock. Orpheus got on the dock and directed the submarine to go to the area where the submarine could be accommodated. The submarine went underwater again and Orpheus rushed to go to the place. Somewhere within the island, the there was a huge dock and the submarine emerged. The hatched opened up and Zero and Void popped up to see.
"There we go," Orpheus said.
Orpheus appeared and nodded and then as Zero and Void disembarked from the submarine, the Black Knights started to pop up and disembarked from the submarine. They all gathered on the dock and a huge platform.
"Welcome Black Knights," A male voice said.
The Black Knights looked and saw a man. The man had brown hair and wore glasses and the man smiled warmly.
"Welcome to the island that is the base of Peace Mark," The young man said, "we've been waiting for you."
"Thank you for the welcome," Zero said.
That's it for this chapter. Next chapter: Rai concludes his story of his past, Charles talks about Euphemia and the Special Zone, Suzaku makes a request to go after the Black Knights, and Lelouch reveals a truth to the core members of the Black Knights.
