The Black Rebellion Final
In a lab in Pendragon, Natalie was typing something on her laptop and then when she looked and was satisfied, she pressed the Enter key. Natalie nodded and picked up her cell phone and dialed a number and placed the phone on her ear. There were a few rings and it was picked up and someone answered.
"It's me," Natalie said, "it's done."
The person on the other line and Natalie smiled.
"Right, everything is going as planned," Natalie said and then smiled, "I'm glad to be working with you Mr. Reid and I look forward seeing Japan freed. Carter, Jason, and Sarah feel the same way."
Diethard spoke on the other line. Afterwards, Natalie hung up her cell phone.
"Multiple rebellions are going just as we coordinated," Natalie said, "Of course, because of it, they might get called in to put down the rebellions. But this will give EU the motivation to really fight even harder… and then there's the Chinese Federation. How are they going to respond?"
There was a sudden ring on her cell phone and Natalie picked up and answered.
"Yes?" Natalie said.
The person spoke on the other line and Natalie was wide eyed as she was shocked.
"What?" Natalie replied, "My sister did what?"
Tokyo, Japan
In the G-1 Mobile Base, Diethard looked at his phone and smiled.
"It's amazing that Lelouch and Nunnally have such reach even back in our country," Diethard commented, "Jeremiah is not the only one still loyal to them."
Meanwhile in the air, the flagship commanded by Schneizel was surrounded by Knightmares of the Black Knights and the Knightmare in the lead was the Fenrir that was piloted by Rai. In the bridge of the flagship, Schneizel looked at the screen seeing the Knightmares and there was another part of the screen as he was getting reports of the reinforcements were being pinned down by Black Knights' ships and the multiple rebellions that were occurring in other countries controlled by Britannia with its military having to respond against the rebellions. Kanon walked up and stood next to Schneizel with concern.
"Your Highness, what do we do now?" Kanon asked.
"There's only one thing we can do in this situation," Schneizel said, "it's not going to be pleasant but this is the path we take and besides, it won't be the end. Once we dealt with the other matters, we'll finish what we started."
Kanon looked at his prince and he nodded in agreement.
"Understood Your Highness," Kanon said.
"What is sad is leaving her behind," Schneizel said, "it seems that I will not be able to fulfill my promise to bring her back after all."
There was a visual of two more Knightmares that were coming and it was the Lucan and it was followed the Vierge.
"She's here," Kanon said.
"Patch me through to the Lucan," Schneizel said, "and the G-1 Mobile Base."
"Yes Your Highness," One of the operators said.
In the bridge of the G-1 Mobile Base, there was transmission and Euphie along with the Six Leaders of Kyoto were there in the bridge and were informed who was trying to contact them.
"My brother Schneizel?" Euphie asked.
"Yes, that's where the transmission is coming from," One of the Black Knight s said.
Kaguya walked over and stood next to Euphie.
"Well Euphie, what do you want to do?" Kaguya asked.
Euphie took a deep breath and nodded.
"I'll respond," Euphie said as she walked forward, "let it though, I'll hear what my brother wants."
"Understood," Another Black Knight said with a nod.
The door opened and Diethard and Rakshata entered the bridge.
"Is there a call?" Diethard asked.
"Yes from Schneizel," Kaguya said.
"Oh, I wonder what it is," Rakshata said with a grin.
Kamine Island
Lelouch had accepted that he alone would fall at the hands of Bismarck and gladly accepted it for the fact that the Black Knights would be able to continue the mission of standing against Britannia. It was all set as Black Knights from other countries arrived and halted the enemy reinforcements as well as the fact at the moment the rebellions have all simultaneously began in other countries. Everything was going as he desired, as he and the other core members of the Black Knights have desired so he was fine in being the only one who was going to fall and possible be handed over to his father, the 98th Britannian Emperor Charles zi Britannia. Lelouch was all prepared for it even it meant that it was going to hurt the people he cared about but what he did not expect that he would have aid from CC and Jinta when they surprisingly arrived with the intent to protect him. Bismarck pushed Jinta back again and the male immortal Code Bearer smiled again in response.
"So you insist in buying time for them," Bismarck said.
"I do," Jinta said, "CC, take out leader away, would you?"
"No problem," CC said.
"Wait, I don't want you left behind," Lelouch said.
"You don't need to worry," Jinta assured, "I got it handled."
"You think that you can just help him escape?" Jarvis asked angrily.
Jarvis pointed his gun at the trio but then a Knightmare suddenly landed shielding Lelouch and CC and it was the Gawain. Suzaku and the two Knights of the Round were shocked at the Gawain's sudden appearance.
"Prefect, our ride is here," CC said and then turned to Lelouch, "Lelouch, let's go."
"…Alright," Lelouch said, "looks like I'm saved."
Lelouch and CC quickly went to the Gawain and Bismarck rushed to try to stop them but Jinta quickly got in front of the Knight of One and blocked his path.
"Damn you!" Bismarck spoke angrily.
"Lelouch!" Suzaku called out.
Lelouch and CC got on the Gawain and Lelouch looked Suzaku.
"It seems luck is on my side today," Lelouch said, "Suzaku, you really should think about if you want to continue. You have heard it yourself of what I provided to you. Are you okay being used as a naïve pawn for someone's scheme? Euphie saw the truth. She had seen it for a long time."
The Gawain flew away leaving the island and Jinta stood in front of Bismarck.
"You won't be taking Lelouch back to Charles," Jinta said.
Bismarck clenched his teeth in anger towards Jinta.
"Again, you insist standing in my way to carry out His Majesty's wish," Bismarck said.
"That should be obvious," Jinta said with a serious expression, "Eventually both him and Vincent will answer for what they've done," Jinta pointed his katana at Bismarck and glared at the Knight of One, "and so will you."
Bismarck clenched his teeth in anger in response of the things Jinta said.
"Jarvis," Bismarck said.
"Sir?" Jarvis responded.
"Take the insubordinate Kururugi with you and hand him over to His Highness," Bismarck said, "after you take care of it, rendezvous with Nonette."
"…Understood," Jarvis said and then he turned to Suzaku, "We're going now Kururugi."
"I…" Suzaku had a sad expression and just gave up and put his hands up, "I understand."
"You're finally cooperating," Jarvis said, "hmph, you should have done that in the first place."
Tokyo, Japan
Nonette ran to go where she decided to go.
"This isn't over," Nonette said, "I have to bring her in."
Nonette got to where her Morgause was and went and mount on her Knightmare Frame. Meanwhile in the air, the Lucan and the Vierge had just arrived and the Lucan floated next to the Fenrir.
"Void, what do you want to do?" Rai asked as his Knightmare turned to the Lucan.
In the cockpit of the Lucan, Void looked on seeing her half-brother's flagship and suddenly saw was getting contacted and it was Euphie.
"Euphie, what is it?" Void asked.
"Two things," Euphie replied, "first Schneizel wants to discuss things and second," Euphie smiled, "we got word from Jeremiah, Zero is safe and is on his way back."
"I see," Void responded sounding relieved, "thank goodness. Now what about Schneizel?"
Over the ocean
In the air, the Gawain was flying and Lelouch was on the shoulder of the Knightmare while CC was on the other shoulder. Lelouch sighed and felt relieved.
"You look relieved," CC said.
"Oh," Lelouch replied and looked at CC.
CC smiled, "Now aren't you glad that you got out of there."
"I admit I am," Lelouch said, "but I'm worried about Jinta."
"You don't need to worry about him," CC assured, "he won't allow himself to be captured, not even by Bismarck and Jarvis."
Lelouch smiled at CC, "You seem to have faith in that. You must know him well."
"We've known each other for two centuries," CC replied with a shrug, "I at least know that much from that boy."
"Yes of course," Lelouch said and then turned to cockpit of the Knightmare, "thank you two for your help as well."
"It was our pleasure Master Lelouch," A familiar female voice said.
"Our loyalties will see you safe and be able to move forward," A familiar male voice said proudly.
"Hold on," Lelouch said surprised, "you two…"
The pod opened and it was Sayoko and Jeremiah that were inside.
"I'm glad we got to you in time my lord," Jeremiah said.
"Yes I feel relieved," Sayoko said with a smile, "and yes Lady Milly and Lady Shirley entrusted us with the Gawain."
"I owe a lot of people thanks," Lelouch said, "and apologies…"
"Well you'll get your chance when we get back," CC said, "after we finish with everything."
"My lord, Lady Euphemia had just contacted us and informed us that Prince Schneizel wants to make some… compromise," Jeremiah informed.
"Comprise," Lelouch said, "I doubt he's going to make some demands. He literally can't if all has gone well."
"The Britannian forces in Japan are mostly wiped out," CC said, "and the reinforcements that he requested had been brought to a halt thanks to Peace Mark not to mention that rebellions are happening in other countries forcing them to deal with that. Thanks to that, it's going to motivate the EU to fight even harder against Britannia which leaves the Chinese Federation as the wild card. We don't know how they will act or which side they will even take."
"Let's go," Lelouch said, "I want to have heard what Schneizel said. Get in touch with the G-1 Mobile Base as well with Nunnally."
"Already on it my lord," Jeremiah said with a smile.
Sayoko held something for Lelouch and Lelouch was pleased and nodded at the Japanese maid. The Gawain flew and wads on route to Tokyo.
Tokyo, Japan
Outside not far from Ashford Academy, VV was being held by Sancia, Lucretia, and Dalque and VV were annoyed glaring at the three girls.
"You three dare betray me," VV said, "Do you know what you're doing? After all that I have done for you."
"We don't owe you anything," Sancia said, "we will no longer take orders from you and we won't take orders from Madd."
"You ungrateful brats," VV said.
"Unfortunately, we can't allow you to keep him," A male voice said.
The three girls and VV were surprised as lights suddenly flashed on them. They wondered what was going on and they were able to see some people and it was Bartley and the scientists of the Code-R Research. Meanwhile Nonette was piloting her Morgause and was floating in the air. In the cockpit, Nonette was contacted by Jarvis and was shocked in what the Knight of Two just told her.
"Zero got away?" Nonette asked.
"Yeah, it seems that Zero got unexpected help from that witch CC and that bastard Kuromaki," Jarvis said bitterly, "and that's not all…"
"What is it?" Nonette asked.
Someone suddenly contacted Nonette and her screen showed Kanon.
"Kanon, what is it?" Nonette asked.
"Nonette…" Kanon said.
Kanon informed Nonette what was happened which surprised the Knight of Nine.
"Prince Schneizel will be leaving?" Nonette asked.
"Yes, sadly we no longer have the means to continue," Kanon said, "our forces are mostly wiped out, our reinforcements have been defeated before even making it here and now we have rebellions that are happening in other Areas. We are already getting reports that the situations in the other Areas is growing worse so we need respond to them and take them down or we risk losing more territories. So that is the situation so far. I don't know what you are going to do or what the emperor may have you ordered to do from here on out.
Nonette was surprised and she clenched her teeth.
"Prince Schneizel is making a mistake," Nonette said, "does he not realize how it's going to look giving up and running back with his tails between his legs?"
"My lord is aware," Kanon said, "I don't like it myself however we don't have the means anymore. It's sad to say that we lost this battle. If we continue, all of us including Prince Schneizel would be down and at the mercy of the Black Knights. We can't let that happen especially with the rebellions and the war with the EU. Prince Schneizel is needed."
"So what's going on to happen now?" Nonette asked not happy with how thing were going."
"The only we can do for the moment is assure the safety of our citizens," Kanon said.
"That's…" Nonette said sadly.
A beeping sound occurred and someone appeared on Nonette's screen and it was Charles which surprised Nonette as well as Jarvis and Kanon.
"Your Majesty," Nonette said.
"I suspected as much," Charles said with a frown.
"Your Majesty," Kanon said.
Nonette, you are to return to me at once," Charles demanded, "Jarvis, the same goes to you. Finish your assignment and return. I have already relayed my order to Bismarck as well."
"Yes, understood Your Majesty," Nonette said.
"Of course Your Majesty," Jarvis said, "we shall return to you at once."
"Sire, before I do that, please give me the chance to at least fulfill my assignment to at least capture either Zero and Void."
"You're too late," Charles said with a scowl, "the chance to do that was before the forces there failed miserably. It's pathetic that our military might in Area 11 could not defeat this group of rabble. Either the soldiers were that incompetent or Schneizel did not have what it took to lead which is leading him in making this foolish decision that he is making."
Kanon tensed up a bit on screen and looked away with a frown.
"Even if you went after them now, they will have the means to escape from you and all you do is waste time," Charles said, "I will not wait any further."
"I… I understand," Nonette said, "I will get you right away."
Charles cut off the transmission and Nonette clenched her teeth.
"Well this is it," Jarvis said, "I'm taking Kururugi to His Highness. I'll see you and Bismarck back in Pendragon for emperor."
"Yes," Nonette said, "see you there."
Jarvis ended his transmission and all was left was Kanon.
"Kanon," Nonette said.
"I have to go and assist my prince," Kanon said.
"This isn't over," Nonette said, "we may have lost the battle but in the end, we will win this war. Britannia always comes out on top."
"Of course," Kanon said with a nod.
The transmission ended and Nonette frowned and she clenched her teeth.
"I can't believe this is how it ends," Nonette said upset, "Nunna… Lulu…"
"You still don't get it Nonette," Nunnally said.
Flashback
"What?" Nonette asked annoyed, "What is it that I don't get?"
"We were betrayed first," Nunnally said.
"Huh, what are you talking about?" Nonette replied, "You two refused to contact anyone in Britannia to let us know that you're alright. Instead you chose to hide out for seven years and come out as Zero and Void declaring your fight against Britannia."
"And why wouldn't we?" Nunnally shot back, "After what happened eight years ago when Mother was murdered and Father being absolutely callous about it. Let's not forget that a year after Lelouch and I arrived here in Japan, that Father declared war on Japan and missiles struck right where we were supposed to be meaning we were set up to die to justify the invasion of Japan. So tell me Nonette, why should we remain loyal to a country that clearly wanted us dead?"
"N-Nunna…" Nonette spoke and then looked away with sadness.
"Let's not forget about Euphie and the other Britannians in regards of the Special Zone," Nunnally continued, "Britannian soldiers murdered not only Japanese people but Britannian people as well and framed Euphie for the deed and tried to actually kill her."
"I know that," Nonette said frustrated, "I'm fully aware of this. I know about VV and his scheme that he planned against Euphie."
Nunnally was surprised when she heard Nonette mention VV.
"Do you know who VV is?" Nunnally asked.
"I didn't want to say anything," Nonette said, "I was told to not say anything by His Majesty but I…" Nonette clenched her teeth and shook her head, "I'm going to tell this Nunna. His Majesty is fully aware that VV was behind the incident of the Special Zone using Pluton and I will say this… he's not happy about it. He's not pleased that VV has been acting on his own for some time."
Nunnally narrowed her eyes at Nonette.
"…And yet still with all that, you as well as my father insist that my brother and I be taken in," Nunnally said, "you want me, Lelouch, and even Euphie punished for what've we done."
Flashback End
"Damn it all," Nonette said being very upset.
Nonette piloted her Morgause making her way out of Japan.
Meanwhile in the bridge of Schneizel's flagship, Schneizel faced Euphie who appeared on the screen and another appeared on the screen and it was Void.
"Schneizel," Void said.
"How nice to see you Void," Schneizel said, "although I wonder, is it just going to be you two? I heard that Zero has run into trouble."
"I admit that I did," Zero's voice said, "however that has passed."
Zero appeared on the screen.
"Zero, how did you…?" Kanon said.
"How did I escape from Bismarck?" Zero interjected, "I had help. People coming to my aid."
"So it would seem," Schneizel said.
"So Schneizel, what is it that you wanted to discuss?" Euphie asked.
"I admit that I no longer have the means to continue this battle against you," Schneizel said, "You have defeated me and therefore I am willing to recognize the country as independent from Britannia so I myself will not continue and make attempt against Area 11 anymore… or I should say that it is Japan."
"Are you really given up?" Void asked, "Are you really willing to leave this country alone and consider it independent?"
"I am," Schneizel said, "I know it is a shock but I know when I am beaten. But with that in mind, I have my concerns for the people still in the land. I would like to have Britannian citizens leave unharmed and in peace. Would you be willing to do that?"
"Of course," Euphie said, "that was our intention as well."
"The people shall have a choice to either remain in Japan or return to Britannia," Zero said, "that also includes the people who are still Honorary Britannians."
Kanon was surprised a bit and turned to Schneizel.
"Very well," Schneizel said, "also, there is also the matter of the two boys who were involved starting the tragedy of the Special Zone. I would like for them to be handed over to me as well. I understand that you Zero allowed my sister Cornelia to execute the Pluton agents that were involved including Paul Kinman who was a Colonel of the military."
"It's your call Brother," Void said, "Do we accept Schneizel's request?"
Zero just looked at Schneizel.
"Euphemia, are you okay with it?" Zero asked, "I will it leave it up to you."
Euphie took a deep breath and looked at half-brother Schneizel.
"Schneizel, can I have your word that they will be punished for what they have done?" Euphie asked.
"You have my word my dear sister," Schneizel said with a serious expression, "they will answer for what they've done. I myself desired for the success for the Special Zone but when they destroyed it, I swore that those involved would pay for what they've done."
Euphie looked at Schneizel and nodded.
"Zero, Void, I believe what Schneizel says," Euphie said.
"I see," Void said.
"Very well," Zero said, "I will have them brought to you."
Meanwhile there was an aircraft in the air and was leaving Japan. In the plane, VV was sitting and was feeling relieved and he looked at Bartley and the scientist of the Code-R Research.
"I am relieved to get out of there," VV said, "I really appreciate you helping me Bartley."
"Sure," Bartley said with a frown, "I was contacted by His Majesty. He wants us to escort you to him."
"Oh really?" VV replied feeling happy about it, "Charles wants to see me. I suppose he wants to talk about the next phase of our plans."
"I've been meaning to ask," Bartley said, "what is it that you and His Majesty are truly planning?"
VV smiled, "You'll know soon enough. By the way, what about the subjects?"
"Madd is bringing them back in the headquarters," Bartley said.
"Very good," VV said smiled, "this isn't over. They can enjoy their little victory for now. We'll be back and bring them to despair."
VV had a sadistic smile thinking causing despair to Lelouch and Nunnally and all those who he considered to be traitors. Meanwhile in the bridge of the Avalon, Cecile was on the phone and she nodded.
"Understood," Cecile said, "yes… yes…. we'll get right on it and we'll bring her along as well."
Cecile hung up the phone.
"I take it that Prince Schneizel," Lloyd said as he showed up.
"Yes," Cecile said as she turned to Lloyd, "Prince Schneizel is admitting defeat and he wants us leave this country."
"So the Black Knights have won," Lloyd said.
"Yes and not only that," Cecile said, "Sir Trenton succeeded in capturing Suzaku and is on the way to take him to His Highness."
"Hmm, I see," Lloyd said and then he shrugged, "Well I guess there's nothing we can do about it. We might as well make our way out of here as well."
"One other thing," Cecile said, "Prince Schneizel wants the girl brought to him."
"Of course he does," Lloyd said, "not surprising. Oh boy, everything just was downhill for us. It seems that the Black Knights get to control this territory. I can only imagine that the people back in the Homeland and the Britannians still in the territory are going to so furious."
"I hope Prince Schneizel will make it through," Cecile said with worry, "he might be held responsible for losing this land and the fact that he letting them have the land..."
"I'm sure he'll be fine," Lloyd said with a shrug as he was not bothered, "His Highness seems to be the kind of man that always makes any situation work for his benefit. Besides, even if it were the case, he's won't be the only one. Remember Princess Cornelia abandoned her duty as Viceroy and left with her subordinates. She practically allowed the Black Knights free reigns here."
"Right oh Lloyd," Cecile said, "I forgot to mention. His Highness says we should stop by Kamine Island since the Lancelot is there."
"Oh yes let's!" Lloyd replied happily feeling relieved, "Let's get my creation back right now."
"Yes, yes," Cecile said a bit amused.
Meanwhile in one of the rooms aboard the Avalon, Nina was sitting on a bed and she was wide eyed thinking what she had done. As she looked back at the fact that she had set up a bomb connecting it to the Ganymede and using Sakuradite to cause the explosion, thinking things calmly about what she had set up and the magnitude of the explosion she would have caused had she actually succeeded in detonating it. With all that coming to mind, Nina found herself to be horrified.
"Why?" Nina asked herself, "Why did I think that it was a good idea to do that?" Nina was shaking as tears swelled up from her eyes, "I wanted the Black Knights gone. I wanted those traitors and pretenders to vanish… but I didn't want to kill Princess Euphemia and Prince Schneizel was there as well and he would have caught up in that explosion. Why didn't I think about those factors? Britannians would have been killed… innocent people would have died because of me and yet I…" Nina shook her head as she was more horrified at the prospect of what she would have done, "I'm such a fool and because of that… people will think that just some unhinged girl… and Princess Euphemia…"
Flashback: Ashford Academy
"Nina, use your damn head because it's obvious that you're not thinking clearly!" Rai angrily shouted, "You're going to kill everyone here in this school and everyone in Tokyo and that includes you. Are you actually suicidal and want everyone to die with you?!"
"So now one of the pretenders is yelling at me," Nina said looking at Rai, "all this time, you were pretending to be a student when in actuality you're a terrorist. We were never friends so I don't feel betrayed by you but I will not be tricked by you either!" Nina held on to the detonator with both of her hands, "I'm going to do this! I will end this now!" Nina turned to Euphie, "Please watch me Princess Euphemia! This is for you!"
"Nina, no!" Euphie yelled.
"Nina!" Milly yelled.
"Nina, please stop!" Rivalz yelled.
"Don't become a mass murderer!" Shirley yelled.
Flashback End
Nina clenched her teeth and had his hands over her face. Nina couldn't take it anymore and cried as she was now feeling regret for not thinking about her actions.
Schneizel's Flagship
In the Knightmare Hanger of the flagship, Schneizel, Kanon, and several soldiers stood as Jarvis came with Suzaku who was placed in handcuffs. Suzaku looked at Schneizel and looked away in shame.
"Just as I promised you," Jarvis said, "here he is."
Schneizel looked at Suzaku with contempt and then he turned to Jarvis.
"Thank for your help Sir Trenton," Schneizel said, "I really appreciate what you have done."
"Think nothing of it Your Highness," Jarvis said.
"Proceed," Schneizel said.
"Yes sir," One of the soldiers said.
The several soldiers surrounded and pointed their rifles at Suzaku just looked around with a sad expression.
"When we return to Pendragon, I'll listen to whatever excuses you have," Schneizel said, "if you still have any."
Suzaku didn't say anything and was being taken away by the soldiers as Jarvis headed back to his Knightmare saying his farewells. An operator arrived at the hanger. The operator went and informed Kanon of something and Kanon was surprised and then he turned to Schneizel.
"Prince Schneizel," Kanon said.
"Let me guess," Schneizel said as he turned to Kanon, "It's His Majesty, isn't it?"
"Uh, y-yes sir," Kanon said as he and the operator were surprised that Schneizel knew.
"I expected it," Schneizel said, "well then let's head back to the bridge. I know he has questions for me," Schneizel sighed, "There is much to do."
In the bridge of the G-1 Mobile Base, the doors opened and Void, Euphie, and Zero arrived along with CC, Sayoko, and Jeremiah.
"We're back," Zero said.
"Lelouch!" Kaguya spoke with excitement.
Kaguya rushed over and hugged Lelouch.
"Thank goodness, you're okay," Kaguya said feeling relieved.
"Sorry to worry you," Zero said.
"Damn right you had us worried," Naoto said.
Zero turned and was greeted by core members of the Black Knights as well as several members of Peace Mark.
"Buddy!" Tamaki said, "Buddy! You scared the hell out of us."
Tamaki was in tears as he rushed over and placed his hands on Zero's shoulders.
"We were worried when we got the message," Inoue said.
"Yeah seriously," Minami said, "I think I can say for all of us that we're glad that you made it back."
Zero took off his mask and looked around as Void did the same.
"I deemed it necessary to sacrifice myself for our operation," Lelouch said, "as long as the Black Knights succeeded, I believe that my fall was of no consequence. I know none of you like the idea of what I was doing but that is how far I'm willing to go for the goals of the Black Knights. I believe that it would be fine if it was just me."
"Lelouch, I know you think about us and the Black Knights and our mission," Kallen said, "but please, don't make such decisions like again. We're here for you. Whatever we may face, we can do it together."
"Kallen's right," Naoto said as he stepped up, "we got your back. You helped us and gave up hope so it would not be right if we did not do the same in turn."
"Lelouch," Todoh said as he stepped forward and faced his former student, "you have made things possible for us. I still do not feel I have done enough to repay you for helping General Katase and it would bring me shame had we lost you. Your determination for the sake of this organization and for the cause is admirable. Yes we would have moved on and continue with the mission just as you would desire but it would not be the same without you."
"Todoh's right," Ohgi said approaching Lelouch, "we may be able to move on but it would not feel right for any of us. You always say that we're the hearts of the Black Knights. Well I think we can all agree that you Zero, Lelouch vi Britannia is the center heart of the Black Knights."
"I agree with what Kaname says," Nunnally said and then she faced her brother, "so please Brother, no more of that… okay?"
"Yes Lelouch," Euphie said as she wrapped her arms around his arm.
Lelouch looked at Nunnally and Euphie and the he looked at the others who felt the same way and were all smiles. He also looked at the Six Leaders of Kyoto who approached them.
"Lelouch, we of the Six Leaders Kyoto made it clear that we have pledged ourselves to you," Kirihara said, "and we want to continue that."
Lelouch felt very lucky as he was touched and nodded.
"Lelouch," CC said with a smile, "you have a responsibility, especially with the words you have said to me so there's no way in hell I'm going to let you weasel out of it. You will do well to remember that."
Lelouch looked at CC and smiled and then he looked at Jeremiah and Sayoko who were very pleased as well.
"Very well," Lelouch said, "my apologies for my blunder and I thank all of you. We have much to do. Schneizel has admitted defeat and Japan is freed. We the Black Knights shall continue with the next phase."
"Right!" Everyone else said with excitement.
"We're going to have our hands full," Rakshata said smoking her pipe.
"Wonderful," Diethard said as he was pleased, "this will be talked about for years to come. I'm so glad I joined the Black Knights."
There was sudden phone ringing and it was coming from CC. CC picked up her phone and answered.
"Jinta?" CC spoke.
"Yeah, it's me," Jinta said on the other line.
Kamine Island
Jinta was sitting on the damaged Lionel holding on his phone and he felt relieved.
"Good so Lelouch made it back," Jinta said, "…yeah I managed to make it through against Bismarck but I will admit that it was close," Jinta nodded listening what CC said, "That's fine, it's not a problem. Yes, I'll be waiting," Jinta hung up the phone and looked up the sky, "You won't be getting what you want Charles. We'll crush your ambitions."
