"Owww..." Leizcio groaned as he picked himself up. It's been two weeks since he obtained his quirk. He's been spending his free time training his quirk and getting a better understanding of it.

"Again? I thought you would be more aware of your surroundings considering the speeds you go at." Lavania said, walking in on Leizcio after closing up the cafe.

"To be fair, I haven't been able to go as fast as I did the first time, I'm not quite sure how fast I went then, but my current highest is about 1200 kilometers an hour. And even then, my body starts to warm up to an almost stinging heat. So if I had to guess, I could go at about 1000 kilometers an hour comfortably." Leizcio explained as he

"..." Lavania just stood there still trying to take all of this happening and making an attempt to understand it.

"Again with the silence?"

"Two weeks ago, you were just a teenager who didn't have any kind of quirk. Now you're able to run at nearly the speed of sound and have some sort of bioelectricity. Is it cool? Yes. Is it a lot to happen in a short amount of time? Yes."

"... Yeah you bring up a good point. Has your friend gotten back to you about my quirk?" Leizcio said as he grabbed his water bottle.

"Yes, that's what I came here to tell you about, get yourself ready, we're going to her place at 5:00 so go take a shower and stuff, no need for you to smell like sweat."

"Okay, okay I'll go do that, see you in a bit."

After heading back inside, Leizcio goes into his room to get a fresh pair of clothes ready and heads into the shower. A good warm shower was always the way to go, it always helped for relieving some tension in his muscles after training. Also helped to relieve his mind of stress and whatever was preoccupying him. After finishing his shower, he dried off quickly and went and changed into his clothes, black sweatpants and a white shirt, plain and simple. Not even realizing that he had just done all of this at high speeds, he found himself with a bit of time until they had to go.

"So I can change and get ready at superspeed? That's pretty neat, means I won't be running late anymore. And I have about... 20 minutes to do something... What should I do?"

Leizcio looks around his room pondering what he should do. He already fixed the coffee machine Lavania asked him to repair a few days ago and he already finished a personal support gear project a while ago. Taking a glance at his notebook and some homework left on his desk. It suddenly prompted an idea in his head.

"Holy Shit! If I can do things at the same speed I run, I can finish things quickly! Where's my textbook?"

After getting his textbook from his cabinet, he takes out his schoolwork, laying it all out on his desk. Taking a quick deep breath, he steadies his pencil and opens his textbook. What would look like a kid scrambling to finish their homework the day before it's due, Leizcio was studying his textbook carefully and revising his own work. He continued 'speed studying' for about 10 minutes. After 2 cases of lead and 3 blobs of erasers, he had just finished a week's worth of homework and notes for his next exam.

"Wow"

He pushed his chair back and looked at all the notes he had completed in a short amount of time.

"I actually managed to do it! And the answers are correct! I'll be so sm-

A sharp pain pierces Leizcio's head and his ears ring for a few seconds

"AGGGHHHH!"

Studying a week's worth of material on a tough subject, in no less than 10 minutes, is bound to have repercussions. Speed thinking is a new ability that Leizcio had just discovered... rather painfully. Since it was the first time he used his quirk like this, his brain wasn't able to handle all the information at once, giving him a major headache.

"Of course I'm not able to do stuff like that. Should probably stick to studying normally I guess. I think I'll just rest my head and take some aspirin."

After regretting his choices and resting for a bit, he heard a knock on his door.

"Lei! Are you ready? It's time to go!" Lavania said as she went to go grab her keys.

"Yeah! Just give me a sec!"

After exiting the cafe, both Lavania and Leizcio enter Lavania's car, driving over to her friend's home. A rather calm drive, but a question is asked which starts up a small conversation.

"So Lav, how do you know this person?"

"..."

Lavania continued on driving with a poker face, semi-ignoring Leizcio's question but hoping that he doesn't continue pushing for an answer.

"C'mon! I'm not a mind reader! Say something!"

"Okay, but what I say stays between us okay?"

"Okay, I can do that much."

"Good, my friend, Tamashi Kachi works with vigilantes around the area, have you heard of that vigilante 'Cruller'?"

"You mean that one guy who wears the All Might hoodie and crawls around?"

"Yeah him, she's assisted him and his group before back when there was a drug that affected quirks. She's extremely talented in understanding quirks, mostly due to her own. She's able to extract the data of one's quirk through a DNA sample. Quite amazing really."

"Huh, that is pretty cool. But isn't helping vigilantes illegal? I mean, I don't have anything against them, but y'know, laws and that stuff."

"Yeah, which is why we're going to her. She also knew mom."

Leizcio was a bit shocked and fixed his posture, paying more attention now.

"Wait how'd she know mom? Especially when she was a Support Hero?"

"Mom didn't only help pro-heroes, but she was a strong supporter of vigilantes. Mostly because they did what most pro-heroes couldn't help people in the small things."

"Heh yeah, sounds just like her doesn't it?"

"Yeah, sure does." Leizcio said with a small smile on his face.

Soon after their conversation was over, they pulled over to Kachi's place. It was a rather small place, but it was rather normal other than that and blended in with the surrounding area.

"Lavania! Come in!" said a short woman with long brown hair, and looks like they could use some coffee or a nap.

"Hi Tamashi! You remember Lezicio right?" Pushing Leizcio in front of her to show Tamashi.

"Of course I do! Heck, I remember when he would be running about and tripping all over the place!"

'Is it really something I do that much?' Leizcio thought to himself

As Lavania and Leizcio entered Tamashi's home, they saw that the place was filled to the brim with medical supplies, no less to help the vigilantes that knew her. There was also a nice smell of coffee in the air and a computer with monitors that seemed to have data on some villains and vigilantes.

"So, you're here to understand Leizcio's quirk right?" Tamashi said in an excited tone and ready to listen.

"Yeah, it manifested recently, tell her how it happened, Lei."

Leizcio went on to describe how he manifested his quirk, receiving a scolding from Tamashi as well, but after he finished explaining, Tamashi was intrigued.

"Okay okay, it sounds kind of complicated, but I think I'll be able to do something with that info. Now, I'm going to just poke a needle into your arm just to expose a bit of blood. I only need to be in contact with it to extract data."

*Sigh* "Okay"

While Leizcio might be the son of a nurse and not necessarily scared of needles, he dislikes how the process of it feels, when they do the thing.

Once Tamashi was done extracting the data, she began to write furiously onto a piece of paper, making sure she did not miss a single detail.

"Okay done! Here's what the quirk is for the most part!"

Handing Leizcio the paper, he presented it to Lav so that they both could read it. It entailed,

Quirk Range: Close

Kinetic generator allows the user to create electrical energy within their body with each step they take when they run. While the user can run at high base speed, they can make their body more resistant and achieve higher speeds for longer periods of time if they train with their quirk. The quirk automatically amplifies the speed of bodily functions to match the base speed of the person. However, they are able to amplify their functions more the same way they boost their running speed, however, it'd also require training and could present consequences. The energy that the user builds up is electrical energy, which the user can focus the energy into the desired area, and could even direct given they train it as well.

Drawbacks:

If the person goes at a speed that their body is not able to handle, it can cause burns and can even leave Lichtenberg figures on the body depending on how far they break their bodily limit. User also has to consume a large amount of food due to the accelerated metabolism breaking down food quickly. The faster they go, the warmer their body becomes, making it a useful indicator of where not to push one too far.

Leizcio and Lavania looked at the paper in disbelief. It's one thing for Leizcio to manifest his quirk this late in his life, it's a whole other case when his body creates bio-electricity with his movements and having to eat much more than usual.

"Holy shit"

"Yeah, that's one way to say it."

"So everything about you goes fast?"

"I guess so."

"Isn't this great!" Tamashi yelled, butting into the Esperanza sibling's realization

"I mean yeah, it's just a matter of training my butt off right?"

"Yeah! With the way the quirk increases the speed of you, you have a lot of potential! You just have to train and use that brain of yours!" Tamashi said as she lightly bonked Leizcio's head.

"Well I guess we're done here, thank you so much for your help Tamashi, please let us know if you ever need anything," Lavania said bowing as she began to exit the house along with Leizcio.

"Hehe, just get me some cookies from your cafe! They taste so great! Thank you for coming by!" Tamashi said as she saw the siblings exit her home.

Before going to the car, Lavania and Leizcio took a moment to contemplate his quirk.

"So, are you ready to have a quirk this important?"

"Kind of, I'm ready to train my ass off to get better, but the only thing I fear is that Mashito will try to take me and try to force me into his image."

"You shouldn't be scared of it. Not anymore. Is he strong? Yes. Could he try and kidnap you? Possibly. But you shouldn't worry. I'm your sister, I could care less that I'm quirkless, you're my little brother and I'll be damned if anyone tries to take away the only family I have left."

Leizcio was tearing up, shivering, trying his best not to have a full-on breakdown after hearing what Lav said. They both say nothing to each other, as they hug each other, a hug that would signify that there is no more danger, that as family, they'll continue to become better and to keep each other safe. The tears were warming and spilling on each other's shoulders. It was silent, but they both told each other in their mind that the other would be okay.

"Thank you Lav, I needed to hear that."

"Of course Lei, now let's head back home."

OH NO YOU WON'T!

"That voice... Oh goddamnit not that guy." Leizcio said quietly as he groaned as well.

REMEMBER ME YOU PIECE OF SHIT?!

"HOW DARE YOU HUMILIATE ME LIKE THAT AND THINK YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH IT! I'LL KILL BOTH OF YOU RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!"

"Wait what is he pulling out of his pocket? SHIT, THAT'S TRIG-

The mugger stabbed the drug into him, and his hands started to become orbs of water, increasing his water pressure quirk by ten-fold.

"CAN'T WAIT TO KILL YOU AND END YOUR MISERABLE LIVES!"
